place down in Panama City Beach. Uh oh so I
when I was down there last I bought this nice
you know, like those uh look front porch rockers for
a couple of hundred bucks. Let's got a text fromn
Render that says your chair is gone. Oh I'm going, well,
how is it gone? Somebody just just up and stole

a chair. And I'm looking on my ring doorbell camera
and it's like the Epstein video, it's like it skips
like there's the chair there, and then it skips ahead
like a few minutes, and then it's gone. So I've
got a mystery here of what exactly happened to my nice,
expensive chair that I bought. There's no evidence of anybody
taking it, but then it's there one minute and then

it's gone the next Wow.

I mean either a porch pirate went up and snagged it.

Yeah, but that should set off that should set off
the alert.

Yeah, that's weird. Yeah, the Epstein Epstein video, they released
hours of footage, but we realized there's a two to
three minute spot missing that had to be edited by Adobe.

Like, that's why if you own rental property, don't ever
buy anything nice, because people just steal it or you know,
just make it their own.

I'm fine, man. It's just amazing what happens at your
beach house down there, whether it be your cleaning ladies
sleeping in the bed heathens.

Man, Like, it's unbelievab field chairs. Yeah, Like this isn't
no plastic chair. This is like one of those you know,
really good two three hundred dollars chairs.

Yeah, well, somebody thought the same, right they saw it,
and yeah said maybe they needed that.

Those went shopping at my front porch.

Today is the slowest sports day of the year. None
of the big four US leagues, including the MLB, the NFL,
the NBA, or the NHL, are holding competitive games today.
You do have Vegas Summer League games, some WNBA action
and fifteen MLS games that you can watch, Shannon, But
we are in the slow season, so we'll have some
fun stuff to talk about today, kind of like when

Myron talked about his cousin having a bionic arm that
he uses beach volleyball for. Was that one of the
more bizarre stories that you've heard on KSR in the
last couple of year.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, and one of the most entertaining too. The guy apparently,
if you didn't hear KSR yesterday, Myron Metcalf said he
had it was his cousin Raight, his cousin James.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Cousin James that only had one arm.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
He wore a hook on that arm like Captain hook
most of the time. But he was a big fan
of beach volleyball, and when it was time to play
beach volleyball, he would take the hook off and he
would call for the volleyball arm attachment. And I don't
know if that's cheating or not if you bring out
a buy on a arm, but sounds like he was
a really good beach volleyball player all thanks to that

arm that was I guess just stowed away in the
closet most of the time until it's time to play volleyball.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, it's kind of like the manager calling for a
pitcher in the bullpen. You know, he kind of goes
for the right arm here, But in James's case, he
takes his arm off and then he's replacing it with
his beach volleyball arm. But you know what, if it works,
it works. I know the hook wasn't gonna work, and
it sounds like the guy's a ringer. But you know,
I've seen, you know, people with a missing arm play
golf with some special appendages. But to play beach volleyball, man,

that's not gonna let you know, a thing like only
one arm get in the way of doing what you love.
So I did love that story from Myron yesterday, and
the energy that he brought on terrific Tuesday. We need
more of that. Shannon's some positive energy, like Myron game was.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Oh absolutely, yeah, He's always a lot of fun. He's
He's become my favorite guest host on KSR when Matt's out,
so you know, I think we needed to make that
a more regular thing. Matthew Mitchell was always a lot
of fun. Of course he can't do that now, but
you know when he when Matthew Mitchell's host, he was
always one of my favorites.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
But Myron Metcalf I think has taken the trophy.

I always liked the part of my take guys, which
Matt tees that they may be on they may be
on here in the near future. Jared Lorenzen was also
a good one. Billy rut Leg and Shannon the Dude
great co host or fill in host for KSR. That
one day we ruined the TV theme show bracket, but
maybe we should do a bracket in the summer. Shannon,
would you be down for that? Oh yeah, yeah, we're

always good with the bracket. We can actually finish the bracket,
that's right.

That's the thing.

That's the that's from the pre show and the actual show,
a pre show actually finishes what we started. They're still
lingering brackets from years gone by. We never finished country
music bracket. I don't think even got started. I think
there was maybe a food bracket that never got finished.

Well, and the music one like do you even do
that now? Since you can't use that podcast? Oh, I mean,
it's like, you know, that kind of defeats the purpose
in a lot of ways. Speaking of KSR Ryan Lemonar
guy is gonna be at the bar later today talking
to some guys from the TBT, whether it be Liggins
or Lamb that are gonna be coming to the bar.
Ansley alban Or is gonna be making an appearance, and

I think one other that I can't remember right now,
but gonna get to interview some of these guys that'll
be playing on Friday starting at nine pm the TBT tournament,
and so over the next couple days we're gonna be
having guys from the TBT team join us. So we'll
be cool to hear because it sounds like these guys
might be doing some scouting of the current team that
Pope has right now, so maybe we get some insights

over the next couple of days, dude.

Yeah, looking forward to hearing from them, of course at all.

Like you said, fires up this week, a couple of
days before the TBT gets going, and I'm excited about it.

You know, last year was a lot of fun.

I didn't know that I would only get into it
that much, but I think that Kentucky louisvill will matchup,
you know, just kind of sparked a lot of interest.
Especially in the summer when there's not a whole lot
going on. You get Kentucky versus lovel and anything. It's
a lot of fun. But looking forward to the season
starting on a West season, I guess tournament. I guess
you should call it not really a season on Friday,
and yeah, maybe they'll have some insight on what they're

seeing from Pope's team. I'd be interested to hear. And
we're going to get that today coming up at ten
o'clock with KSR.

Yeah it is, it really is. But lat Familiar will

on the pre show is not the MLB All Star Game.
It has to be Shannon the dude going to the
Primus concert last night. I cannot wait to hear about
Primus because I did a little homework. I went and
listened to Primus, a band that has existed for quite

a long time, but I have not heard before.
Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah, and I.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
Gotta be honest. It started a little rocky with My
Name is Mud, maybe one of the strangest songs I've
ever heard. But Shannon, they won my heart over with
Jerry was a race car driver. I've loved Jerry was
a race car driver. How did it sound live? How
did the guys do last?
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Well?
Speaker 2 (07:09):
The band sounded great, But the problem is Billy they
I guess the set list was the problem because I
don't know if you've ever had a situation like this
where you're not a super fan of a band but
you know a good amount of songs, Like I was
looking at it at the end of the night, going
through their song list. I probably know twelve Prima songs,
maybe more, but around twelve round a dozen songs you

would expect to hear you know maybe half of those,
at least you know at least play the hits, play
the singles. They played one song all night long that
I recognized, Wow, And I'm sitting here just waiting and going, Okay, well,
one of these songs I'm going to know here soon.
Speaker 3 (07:46):
Jerry was a race car Driver is the only one
they played that I've been their goodness. Yeah, But they
didn't play any of the other hits.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
And I don't know, I guess the first time I've
ever been to a concert where I am a you know,
somewhat of a fan of the band and don't even
know anything they're playing.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
It's unbelievable. First time that's ever happened to me.
Speaker 1 (08:01):
I'm just going to new music that they just came
out that they're trying to promote.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I mean saw, but they were just they were just
playing the deep cuts. So, I mean, if you're a
you know, if you go to a concert, I'm a
band that you're a huge fan of, you got to
be loving that, right. If you go to Incubus and
they play all the deep cuts that you know, you're
loving it.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
But if you're you know, a fair weather fan who
knows the hits, you want to hear the hits.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yeah, play the South Park theme song.
Speaker 3 (08:28):
And play something that we know.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
Theano play one song that we know, but yeah, that's
out of like fifteen songs, they played one song that
I knew, and I was kind of disappointed, to be
honest with you.
Speaker 3 (08:37):
I've seen them live before.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
They were always great, but the set list was very bizarre,
almost as bizarre as the band themselves.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
And where do you stand on that? Because I'm a
little torn. I believe you've said in the past that
if they're of a certain age, they should be playing
the hits, right. That's you know, maybe may be a
chance that you don't get to see Primus again, so
you want to see their best hits. But I guess
Primus is a little tired of playing my name. I
don't know, but that is disappointing to hear.
Speaker 3 (09:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Have you ever been to a show like that where
it's a band that you know like a lot of
their hits, but they just don't play any of them.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
No, not, I can't think of one specifically, you know,
because most of the shows that I've been to, you know,
they have they have a few songs that are the bangers,
that are the hits, and they get to them. You know,
there's a couple that wait for after the encore. Right,
it's kind of silly because you know they're coming back out, right,
like you haven't played two of your most popular songs.

We know it's coming in the encore, but no, No,
For the most part, I get to hear what I want.
So that's that's really disappointing to hear that they didn't
play the songs that you knew. But where was it at?
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Shannon Ericquoi Amphitheater really cool venue in Louisville, only holds
like I think eighteen hundred something like. That's kind of
a small venue, tucked away like basically in a neighborhood
right across the street in like a park. It's good crowd,
there a lot of fun. But well, I should say
it was a lot of fun. Just the experience. It
was a lot of fun. Well, those songs you don't

know is not a lot of fun. It's kind of like,
what come on, play something we know?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Yeah, you just keep waiting and waiting and it never comes.
You know. Those small venues are the best though. I
back in the day, I saw one Republic before they
got really big Republic. Yeah, yeah, they had some hits
back in the day. Don't too late to apologize something
like that. But playing in a venue that had, like,
you know, three four hundred people, man, that's a special experience.
Speaker 3 (10:26):
There's no day.
Speaker 2 (10:26):
I'm just taking a hard stance on setlist for bands
that are established, that have a lot of hits, that
have stuff that's been played on the radio.
Speaker 4 (10:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
Sure, if you.
Speaker 2 (10:34):
Want to play the deep cuts, you can do that
if you want to. But you got to mix in
some hits and not just one from thirty five years ago.
You got to play you know, people are paying good
money to see the songs, and here the songs they know, Yeah,
and you're not playing them.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Yeah. Well, I'll be honest. I was out on Primise
when I heard my name as much. That was their
number one song on Spotify, but they roped me right
back in with Jerry was a race car driver.
Speaker 3 (10:58):
You didn't get the wine own his big brown beaver.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
I saw the name of that. I didn't dare that's.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Their biggest one. I mean I played that one for
you yesterday. That's probably their biggest hit.

I've got to do more research into it, maybe get
into the deep cuts like you were last night. But
we got a lot of response about premise on the
text line. Apparently there are some listeners.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Oh yeah, was packed.

While you were at the Iroquois Amphitheater last night, the
MLB All Star Game was going on and it was fantastic, Shannon.
I don't know how much you got to watch, but
the NL won for the first time in twelve years
despite blowing a six to nothing lead. The AL comes
all the way back. They score two in the ninth,
and instead of extra innings, we go to the first
ever swing off. Three players from each team get three

swings each. Whoever has the most home runs after the
three batters is declared the winner of the All Star Game. Shannon,
and I don't know how much of it you saw,
but I thought it was really entertaining, and the NL
got the win after Kyle Schworber hit three home runs
in three swings. A new Wrinkle to Baseball shown last night.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
I think by the time I turned it on, it
was like bottom of the eighth, it was six' FOUR,
nl and of course THE al comes back in the
ninth ties it.

Up AND i didn't even know that this was a.

RULE i feel like this is LIKE i didn't Realize,
okay AL nl tied Up bob of the, Ninth we're
not going to extra. Innings let's bring out the batting.

didn't even know this was even a rule to begin,
with and when it, Happened i'm, like all, right this
is kind of, cool, Right AND i feel like this
Is Major League baseball's direct response to the people who are.

Boring all, Right we're just gonna have a home run
derby right here in the middle of The All Star.

Is and, uh, yeah THE nl ends up winning for
the first, time and WHAT i think they've won now
two in twelve years or something like.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
That, yeah, YEAH i think it was eleven straight that
the al had. Won but you, know the home run
derby can be hit or, miss, maybe you, know maybe
a little comedic at. Times but when you had already
played an entire game and then you go to this
home run derby, aspect it was really.

Dramatic and when the you, know the coach and the
manager were coming out to like announce who's going to
be a part of? It the guys didn't even know
that they were going to be a part of this
home run.
Speaker 1 (13:11):
Derby, yeah, well like, YOU i think some of them
didn't even know this was a, thing and then they're being, told,
yeah we've got to decide this game in a good
old fashioned home run. Derby you know, AGAIN i thought
it was really. Entertaining and you are speaking to a
generation with a short attention, span a generation that has

not embraced baseball on, television and if you're looking for
ways to maybe bring in a newer, AUDIENCE i thought
that was. Interesting and if maybe you don't want to
put a ghost runner on second, Anymore, shannon that might
be a good way to end the game after the
tenth or the eleventh. Inning but, nevertheless it was unprecedented last.
Night you also had the jerseys looking. Great, yeah it

looked really it looked much better with all the guys
in their own. Jerseys players were miked. Up we were
doing interviews with pitchers as they were. PITCHING mlb doing
a couple different, things and one of them was also
challenges on balls and. Strikes they introduced that for the
first time In Major.

LEAGUE abs automatic balls and, strikes so they use that
in the minor, leagues, right BUT i think it's only
a matter of time before they're going to use it
in the majors as, well where they get it right
and basically the umpires just back there to signal whatever they're.

LIKE i was watching, tennis you know WHAT i, mean
when you do a review in, tennis everybody turns to

strike zone and it actually ended the. Inning and was
it the bottom of the ninth that they challenged or

how is it gone? Somebody just just up and stole

a chair. And I'm looking on my ring doorbell camera
and it's like the Epstein video, it's like it skips
like there's the chair there, and then it skips ahead
like a few minutes, and then it's gone. So I've
got a mystery here of what exactly happened to my nice,
expensive chair that I bought. There's no evidence of anybody
taking it, but then it's there one minute and then

I mean either a porch pirate went up and snagged it.

Yeah, but that should set off that should set off

Yeah, that's weird. Yeah, the Epstein Epstein video, they released
hours of footage, but we realized there's a two to
three minute spot missing that had to be edited by Adobe.

Like, that's why if you own rental property, don't ever

no plastic chair. This is like one of those you know,
really good two three hundred dollars chairs.

Those went shopping at my front porch.

Today is the slowest sports day of the year. None
of the big four US leagues, including the MLB, the NFL,
the NBA, or the NHL, are holding competitive games today.
You do have Vegas Summer League games, some WNBA action
and fifteen MLS games that you can watch, Shannon, But
we are in the slow season, so we'll have some
fun stuff to talk about today, kind of like when

Myron talked about his cousin having a bionic arm that
he uses beach volleyball for. Was that one of the
more bizarre stories that you've heard on KSR in the
last couple of year.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, and one of the most entertaining too. The guy apparently,
if you didn't hear KSR yesterday, Myron Metcalf said he
had it was his cousin Raight, his cousin James.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Cousin James that only had one arm.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
He wore a hook on that arm like Captain hook
most of the time. But he was a big fan
of beach volleyball, and when it was time to play
beach volleyball, he would take the hook off and he
would call for the volleyball arm attachment. And I don't
know if that's cheating or not if you bring out
a buy on a arm, but sounds like he was
a really good beach volleyball player all thanks to that

arm that was I guess just stowed away in the
closet most of the time until it's time to play volleyball.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Yeah, it's kind of like the manager calling for a
pitcher in the bullpen. You know, he kind of goes
for the right arm here, But in James's case, he
takes his arm off and then he's replacing it with
his beach volleyball arm. But you know what, if it works,
it works. I know the hook wasn't gonna work, and
it sounds like the guy's a ringer. But you know,
I've seen, you know, people with a missing arm play
golf with some special appendages. But to play beach volleyball, man,

that's not gonna let you know, a thing like only
one arm get in the way of doing what you love.
So I did love that story from Myron yesterday, and
the energy that he brought on terrific Tuesday. We need
more of that. Shannon's some positive energy, like Myron game was.

Oh absolutely, yeah, He's always a lot of fun. He's
He's become my favorite guest host on KSR when Matt's out,
so you know, I think we needed to make that
a more regular thing. Matthew Mitchell was always a lot
of fun. Of course he can't do that now, but
you know when he when Matthew Mitchell's host, he was
always one of my favorites.

But Myron Metcalf I think has taken the trophy.

I always liked the part of my take guys, which
Matt tees that they may be on they may be
on here in the near future. Jared Lorenzen was also
a good one. Billy rut Leg and Shannon the Dude
great co host or fill in host for KSR. That
one day we ruined the TV theme show bracket, but
maybe we should do a bracket in the summer. Shannon,

always good with the bracket. We can actually finish the bracket,

That's the that's from the pre show and the actual show,
a pre show actually finishes what we started. They're still

it's like, you know, that kind of defeats the purpose
in a lot of ways. Speaking of KSR Ryan Lemonar
guy is gonna be at the bar later today talking
to some guys from the TBT, whether it be Liggins
or Lamb that are gonna be coming to the bar.

but gonna get to interview some of these guys that'll
be playing on Friday starting at nine pm the TBT tournament,
and so over the next couple days we're gonna be

Pope has right now, so maybe we get some insights

Primus because I did a little homework. I went and
listened to Primus, a band that has existed for quite

Gotta be honest. It started a little rocky with My
Name is Mud, maybe one of the strangest songs I've
ever heard. But Shannon, they won my heart over with
Jerry was a race car driver. I've loved Jerry was
a race car driver. How did it sound live? How
did the guys do last?

The band sounded great, But the problem is Billy they
I guess the set list was the problem because I
don't know if you've ever had a situation like this
where you're not a super fan of a band but
you know a good amount of songs, Like I was
looking at it at the end of the night, going
through their song list. I probably know twelve Prima songs,
maybe more, but around twelve round a dozen songs you

would expect to hear you know maybe half of those,
at least you know at least play the hits, play
the singles. They played one song all night long that
I recognized, Wow, And I'm sitting here just waiting and going, Okay, well,
one of these songs I'm going to know here soon.

Jerry was a race car Driver is the only one
they played that I've been their goodness. Yeah, But they
didn't play any of the other hits.
Speaker 2 (07:51):
And I don't know, I guess the first time I've
ever been to a concert where I am a you know,
somewhat of a fan of the band and don't even
know anything they're playing.
Speaker 3 (07:59):
It's unbelievable. First time that's ever happened to me.

I'm just going to new music that they just came
out that they're trying to promote.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
I mean saw, but they were just they were just
playing the deep cuts. So, I mean, if you're a
you know, if you go to a concert, I'm a
band that you're a huge fan of, you got to
be loving that, right. If you go to Incubus and
they play all the deep cuts that you know, you're
loving it.

Yeah.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
But if you're you know, a fair weather fan who
knows the hits, you want to hear the hits.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yeah, play the South Park theme song.

And play something that we know.

Theano play one song that we know, but yeah, that's
out of like fifteen songs, they played one song that
I knew, and I was kind of disappointed, to be
honest with you.

I've seen them live before.

They were always great, but the set list was very bizarre,
almost as bizarre as the band themselves.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
And where do you stand on that? Because I'm a
little torn. I believe you've said in the past that
if they're of a certain age, they should be playing
the hits, right. That's you know, maybe may be a
chance that you don't get to see Primus again, so
you want to see their best hits. But I guess
Primus is a little tired of playing my name. I
don't know, but that is disappointing to hear.

Yeah.
Speaker 2 (09:04):
Have you ever been to a show like that where
it's a band that you know like a lot of
their hits, but they just don't play any of them.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
No, not, I can't think of one specifically, you know,
because most of the shows that I've been to, you know,
they have they have a few songs that are the bangers,
that are the hits, and they get to them. You know,
there's a couple that wait for after the encore. Right,
it's kind of silly because you know they're coming back out, right,
like you haven't played two of your most popular songs.

We know it's coming in the encore, but no, No,
For the most part, I get to hear what I want.
So that's that's really disappointing to hear that they didn't
play the songs that you knew. But where was it at?
Speaker 2 (09:42):
Shannon Ericquoi Amphitheater really cool venue in Louisville, only holds
like I think eighteen hundred something like. That's kind of
a small venue, tucked away like basically in a neighborhood
right across the street in like a park. It's good crowd,
there a lot of fun. But well, I should say
it was a lot of fun. Just the experience. It
was a lot of fun. Well, those songs you don't

know is not a lot of fun. It's kind of like,
what come on, play something we know?
Speaker 1 (10:05):
Yeah, you just keep waiting and waiting and it never comes.
You know. Those small venues are the best though. I
back in the day, I saw one Republic before they
got really big Republic. Yeah, yeah, they had some hits
back in the day. Don't too late to apologize something
like that. But playing in a venue that had, like,
you know, three four hundred people, man, that's a special experience.

I'm just taking a hard stance on setlist for bands
that are established, that have a lot of hits, that
have stuff that's been played on the radio.

Yeah.

Want to play the deep cuts, you can do that
if you want to. But you got to mix in
some hits and not just one from thirty five years ago.
You got to play you know, people are paying good
money to see the songs, and here the songs they know, Yeah,
and you're not playing them.

Yeah. Well, I'll be honest. I was out on Primise
when I heard my name as much. That was their
number one song on Spotify, but they roped me right
back in with Jerry was a race car driver.

While you were at the Iroquois Amphitheater last night, the
MLB All Star Game was going on and it was fantastic, Shannon.
I don't know how much you got to watch, but
the NL won for the first time in twelve years
despite blowing a six to nothing lead. The AL comes
all the way back. They score two in the ninth,
and instead of extra innings, we go to the first
ever swing off. Three players from each team get three

swings each. Whoever has the most home runs after the
three batters is declared the winner of the All Star Game. Shannon,
and I don't know how much of it you saw,
but I thought it was really entertaining, and the NL
got the win after Kyle Schworber hit three home runs
in three swings. A new Wrinkle to Baseball shown last night.

played an entire game and then you go to this

manager were coming out to like announce who's going to
be a part of? It the guys didn't even know

yeah we've got to decide this game in a good
old fashioned home run. Derby you know, AGAIN i thought
it was really. Entertaining and you are speaking to a
generation with a short attention, span a generation that has

not embraced baseball on, television and if you're looking for
ways to maybe bring in a newer, AUDIENCE i thought
that was. Interesting and if maybe you don't want to

be a good way to end the game after the
tenth or the eleventh. Inning but, nevertheless it was unprecedented last.
Night you also had the jerseys looking. Great, yeah it

looked really it looked much better with all the guys
in their own. Jerseys players were miked. Up we were
doing interviews with pitchers as they were. PITCHING mlb doing
a couple different, things and one of them was also
challenges on balls and. Strikes they introduced that for the
first time In Major.

in the minor, leagues, right BUT i think it's only
a matter of time before they're going to use it
