Speaker 3 (00:32):
We're playing Smartacus.

Speaker 4 (00:33):
Nice thing is you won't have to travel too far
for that show. But if you want to go see Oasis,
you are going to have to go. The closest will
be La. There's Toronto, there's Chicago. And Gibbons has been
known to travel far and wide to go see the
shows he wants to see.

Speaker 3 (00:51):
Yeah, yeah, there's.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
One real notable one.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
And by the way, we are taking your calls about
this at eight hundred and two five two one O
two five. Have you traveled far and wide to go
see something? Gibbons has done this several times, but one
of them was so far and it was such an
epic fail.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
Oh, No.

Speaker 5 (01:10):
I had a flight booked from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to New
Jersey to go see Limp Biscuit. And there was a
layover in Chicago, Illinois. Right, So I drive all the
way down to Chicago. I say, I'm skipping the first flight.
I go to Chicago, I park my car, I get
into the airport. My flight gets canceled. Oh so I've
got a day to get to Jersey to go see

(01:32):
Limp Biscuit. And I say, a favorite all time band.
I get in the car. I say, screw it, BJA,
I'm driving. I'm gonna hit the road.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
Screwed pjam driving.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Thanks really weird.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Wow. You know, I didn't even know why he called me.
I didn't know who he was at the time. Right,
He's like, I'm gonna go see Limp Biscuit. Okay, I
don't know you, and I won't stop you. I drive
all the way there eighteen hours. Who pull up to
the venue with two hours before the show starts and
they canceled the show.

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Oh my god.

Speaker 5 (01:58):
Literally as soon as I pulled up, I put the
car in park and I get a notica notification on
the phone show's canceled.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
I'm like, what the French toast.

Speaker 2 (02:06):
So two hours before showtime they cancel. Oh yeah, Oh
I would hate that band forever. I mean it's one
thing to cancel a day before even I mean, but
two hours before showtime.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
Oh, this was twenty twenty one, and they canceled because
someone got COVID and they canceled the entire twelve that.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
You can't do anything about that. I'm afraid it was tragic.
Oh and then I had drove all the way back home. Oh, man,
fight canceled.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Man, I think if you have to stop seeing shows
and you're gonna try to go see Oasis, you're not
taking that. You didn't take that as a harborager of
maybe you shouldn't be that guy.

Speaker 5 (02:39):
I've had so many successes since then, traveling to shows
that I've I've just put in the past.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
That one was just the epic fail. Yeah he did
successfully see them.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
Oh good for you, then, exactly.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
That's a good attitude, because I would have given up
on all life at that point.

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Eli is in Eatonville. Good morning, Eli, Good morning.

Speaker 3 (02:58):
All right, how about you? How far and wide have
you travel to see what?

Speaker 4 (03:02):
So?

Speaker 3 (03:03):
Uh, I'm a fan. I don't know if you guys
have ever heard of the group ICP and Saint Clown Pop.
Oh yeah, huh yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:11):
So they have a music festival and a small town
in central Ohio every summer.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
Yes, and two years ago they had a.

Speaker 4 (03:19):
Guest star, Sir mix a Lot.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
As you know, Sir a Lot is from Seattle. So
I traveled all the way to Ohio, Sir mix a
Lot someone from my hometown. Wow, that's really cool.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I did Now was it a fail like Gibbons or
did you actually get to see the whole thing and
enjoy yourself?

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Yes, and no it might not have been so oh yeah,
because I see those are the Juggalos right, uh huh?

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Because I hear mixed I hear mixed things about juggalos.

Speaker 5 (03:51):
Eli, can I just give a quick whoop whoop little
uh little juggalo language here from my fellow jugo.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Hey, can I give you a little geek talk? Woot woot?

Speaker 2 (04:02):
I don't know what you came first, but we're so
close and our like whooping and wooten.

Speaker 3 (04:05):
Why not?

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Antie left to talk back, answering the question have you
gone far?

Speaker 3 (04:10):
And why did do something? Hey?

Speaker 6 (04:11):
Good morning. The autist is Sergio in Tacoma, craziest thing
I've done for concert tickets.

Speaker 3 (04:17):
Back when I was living in.

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Texas, the local radio station Ero Smith was coming to town.
They were giving away tickets, and they had a consciency
who would do the craziest things. I opted to sell
newspapers on a really busy intersection in a pink thong
and a pink scarf. I got my ticket and I
was third World Centers.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Yeah maybe wow.

Speaker 2 (04:40):
By the way, big props to that Texas radio station.
Classic bit to make a guy get dressed up in
a pig thong and pink whatever and just be that guy.
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Suzanne left to talk back for us.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
Good Morning. In August of twenty thirteen, I flew out
to Valencia, Spain to see my daughter graduate from her
master's program, and the next morning we rode a train
up to bill Bo, Spain to see Green Day at
a music festival. The taxi driver took us about halfway
up this really steep hill and we had to walk
the rest of the way. It was so worth it, though,

(05:14):
Suzanna Pacific.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
Ny, Suzanne, Wow, what a wonderful experience.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Yeah, that's awesome, man, kid too, that's pretty great.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
I mean being able to see like one of your
favorite bands or any band that you kind of dig
in like a foreign country setting situation.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, that's gonna be kind of surreal.

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Russy in POLLSBO text at nine zero six two seven,
answering the question have you gone far and wide to
do something? Went to San Francisco, Sorry, from San Francisco
to Sydney to see Pink's carnival tour.

Speaker 5 (05:42):
Oh that's far have you got I know this is
not our format.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Have you guys ever seen Pink perform live?

Speaker 4 (05:49):
I've only seen videos, and it looks awesome.

Speaker 5 (05:52):
It is bj Sarah. It is like Cirq Day Sola,
and it's not kind of like cirk Day so La.
It's an entire Cirkday Sola show. And she's sings every
note of every song. It's such performance art. It's mind blowing.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
So she's got like the what do you call it,
those strings the like cloth?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Oh yeah, just like you.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Said, guy, while singing upside douts and flies across.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
She's doing that. Oh, I had no idea she did that.

Speaker 4 (06:18):
She's up there doing wow.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
And also, you know, a very cool interview we had
her on the show and in the old place and such.
You know, when you get to meet people who are
down to earth and cool, because not every celebrity is
like that, it even makes it better. You're like, Wow,
you're so good at your job, and also you're really
a cool person.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
She's one of Gibbons' people.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
She's from Philly. That's unbelievable.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
Really, I would never have guessed she's from Philly because
she's nice.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
But you thank you. She's been away from she's been
away from Philly. Yeah, that's what happens.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Alex and Snahomish texted, I flew from Seattle to Quebec
City in twenty ten to see Romstein.

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Romstein.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
We had a blast, even met the guitarist at the
airport flying back to the States.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Is Romstein the band that spray stuff all over the crowd?
Yeah that's Guar. Oh it is gar Okay. Ramstein has
a lot of fire, like a lot of fire.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
They're the ones very nice. That's a really good impression.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
Thank you. I thought I was there.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
If you just lit something on fire, I would have thought, Wow,
I'm at a Romstein show.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Crazy. Mary is a huge concert goer, she texted nine
zero sixty seven. I went to Cleveland, Ohio, to see
Aaron Lewis, And I saw Aaron Lewis and Columbus and
Lamb of God in Cleveland because I couldn't see either
one when they were in Seattle, so she went to Ohio.

Speaker 3 (07:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
I also went to Cleveland, Ohio to watch a baseball
game and got a rash on my junk, so I
went far and wide.

Speaker 3 (07:47):
Yeah, it was horrible. I mean it was like, I.

Speaker 4 (07:51):
Know where it came from.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
We believe it was a seat at the old Cleveland
Municipal Stadium. I am telling you, I could it might
have been like the toilet really, because hit me hard
quick and like, because we drove from Rochester, New York
to Cleveland and we were like, I'm like, I can't
make it back home. I am itching, I'm dying over here.
And I had to go in and even then whatever
I bought in the store didn't work. I ended up
having to get steroid cream. And it was all from

(08:15):
the lovely state of Ohio.

Speaker 4 (08:16):
And so do you think it was when you sat
then they went in the water and there was something
in the water.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
Oh, Now, hold on, I was a younger man at
the time. You're right, as as a person gets older,
sometimes the boys go for an uninvited swim. But at
this point of my life, Sarah, I was in my
thirties and the boys were still you know, going to
the gym, doing a good workout, and they were able

(08:44):
to do their pull ups and be fine.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
I can't believe you said that, Sarah. That took me
a second. I'm like, you, salthy son of a wall.

Speaker 2 (08:52):
You know, that's what happens, dude, dude, And about if
it hasn't happened already, depending on how high the water
is in the bowl and you and you're not used
to it, dude, it's like what the wow?

Speaker 3 (09:02):
You sit down and then I'm like, oh, And I
asked my friends.

Speaker 5 (09:07):
Oh, I know, but I didn't expect it to come
out of her mouth, Sarah.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
You just I just wasn't expecting that. That's because Sarah
knows my plight.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
I do it. He even has a name for it.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, oh yeah, I don't know. Can I say can
say that it's like a CHACUZI, yes, but it involves
the boys.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
It's a boy coozy.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
Yes.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Wow. Yeah, the more you know, yeah, oh dude, it's
an old thing. I am telling you right now.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
It's it was like, that's when everybody because I asked.

Speaker 3 (09:33):
My friends when it first happened to me, but my
friends are younger than me. I go, hey, you guys,
you were just in there. Did this happen to go?
What do you? I go?

Speaker 2 (09:39):
And then finally my friend Sean, who's a jerk but
actually was right, He goes, well, that's because we're not
old and on the floor, and I'm like.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
You think that's really what it is. It's the dissension.

Speaker 2 (09:50):
It's the gravity dissension into the pond of toiletri
