Speaker 2 (00:09):
For the past three years, I've hosted the family reunion
reunion at my house. We do it once a year
so we can all, you know, get together for the holidays.
And I have a big yard, a huge kitchen. And
I said I'm not going to host this year. It's
just too much of a hassle. And I got called out,
but I believe I'm right, Sarah, let's hear it.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Oh yeah, it does sound like a huge hassle. Just
because you have the biggest doesn't mean you should be
responsible for hosting. That's my two cents, Nick and malty.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
Sarah, I wish I could have a family reunion. My
family is tiny and spread out all over.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Yeah, but it's it's a slippery slope man hanging out
with family all the time. I don't know who's this.

Speaker 5 (00:53):
Hey, Sarah's Mandy and Seattle. You could suggest rotating who
hosts each year. They're like, you know, Thanksgiving, her Christmas.
One person shouldn't have to always host.

Speaker 3 (01:03):
I agree with that for sure, don't you. Thank Givens

Carley and Mercer Island hosts the annual family Reunion, but
called a jerk when she said she didn't want to
do it this year because it is a huge hassle.
Good morning, Kenny.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
I also had the big house and the big kitchen
and the big yard, and I got a lot.

Speaker 5 (01:47):
Of experience in this. And people have to learn how
to say no. No.

Speaker 6 (01:52):
The first time you say no is hard, but after
that it gets real easy and it makes you feel
really good.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Tom in Newcastle, what do you think there?

Speaker 5 (02:03):
I'm going with church? Sounds like he doesn't like his
family much.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
This was a tradition.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
And now were you refusing to host the reunion?

Speaker 3 (02:10):
Not Colbra oh Man?

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Yikes?

Speaker 3 (02:13):
Who's this?

Speaker 1 (02:14):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (02:14):
I Am, Jordan and Kent. Just because you have a
big house doesn't mean you have to host the parties.
Family is a lot and I bet your cleanup is crazy.
Rent a hole.

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Oh that's a good idea.

Speaker 5 (02:25):
It really is a genius idea.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
And text line is pretty split on this. A lot
of people saying jerk, a lot of people saying justified.

Stuff You Should Know
Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
