I like the fire, you placethe flowers and thirty six thirteen ten wi
Va Madison in the morning and askedthe experts Joy did studio by the one
and only Josh Gallotts of Legacy Exteriorswebsite, Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com,
Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com, Dolphinnumber six away two two one three thousand.

(00:23):
That's two two one three thousand. How you doing, man, I'm
doing great. I have a question. So usually the intro songs mean means
something something. Yeah, what didthat one means? I don't even know
if that was our house by CrosbyStoles and oh, very very very fine
house, lad on them. Ah, that is good, good good,

(00:43):
and it's it is a very veryfine house that you want to protect.
Yeah, keep good. It's It'sinteresting. You and I were talking just
about what we've been up to thepast few weeks and getting a little bit
of time to enjoy time with familyand uh doing a little bit of traveling,
and something was interesting up up inthe eye was up in Spooner with
my wife and chatting with some ofher family, and her aunt had commented

(01:06):
to me about Spooner had got hitby hail last last year really bad,
like a lot of vehicles dammage,a lot of roof dammage, and her
aunt had commented that she didn't seeany damage. And this spring she had
actually had somebody come out owner totake a look at her roof and lo
and behold there was hail damage upthere that she had no idea existed.

(01:26):
Worked with her insurance, got anew roof. Everybody's happy. That's a
funny thing about about roofs is AndI know, Josh, you have some
super high tech things as well asjust very very knowledgeable crews out there that
can identify some things that oftentimes ashomeowners, you won't notice until years later
when it starts to become a problem. Yeah, you definitely need to have

(01:51):
a trained eye or trained in thefield for sure, because a lot of
times hail damage definitely can't be seenfrom the ground and sometimes can't visibly be
noticeable from up top. I mean, it might just look like a little
nick or something, but what happensis it'll it'll actually break the backing,

(02:13):
you know, and then then thosegranules over time when that impact area will
release into a and then it couldn'tover time in a couple of years possibly
create a much, much bigger problem. And that's why it's always important to
have a contractor out inspect if there'sdamage. If there's damage, then they
help you with the process of filinga claim and then meeting your insurance adjuster

(02:35):
out there and then going over thewhole property together and then put putting that
homeower back to where they should befrom before the storm started. And I
don't know if we had hail inthe area. And and that's a funny
thing about we have, okay, because that's the funny thing about hail is
it's is it'll like it's like italmost seems like oftentimes a very narrow band
where like we're talking very specific acouple of blocks area here, a couple
of blocks there. Um, SoI didn't know we have had hail issues.

(02:59):
Yeah, say like Coegegrove, someprairie marshal out kind of along that
way. There's been m I thinkwant to key in some stretches has had
some help. But yeah, there'sdefinitely been pockets of hail that we have

(03:20):
seen be approved by homeowners insurance. And that's good to hear. And that's
a great thing too. Is andfor people who don't know, Um,
you guys work on the same systemas the insurance companies work on, which
helps when it comes to filing aclaim and getting the job done right and
expediting the whole process. You guysat Legacy Exteriors are on the same page.

(03:40):
Yeah, I would say what helpsmore times than not. It's just,
uh, you know, we've handledthousands of thousands of claims, so
we've we've known what the insurances companiesare looking for. We know when the
insurance paperwork comes back obviously know howto read it and know how to understand
it what is most likely missing fromthere from their initial quote, and then

(04:05):
we supplement that we so it's justyou know, thousands of claims over the
years, the experience. There's notan insurance company we haven't worked with,
because every little insurance company is alittle different on how they do things and
how they proceed with things. Sojust years and years of insurance claim and

(04:26):
experience is really going to help thathomeowner speed up through that process and fully
understand it as well. Talking spartywith Josh Gowar's of Legacy Exteriors, if
you've got questions about the integrity ofyour roof. Maybe you haven't had it
inspected for a while. They'd loveto take a look at your roof,
make sure everything's doing well up there. Oh, you just give him a
call six to way two two onethree thousand. That's two two one three

(04:47):
thousand for Legacy Exteriors online, LegacyDash Exteriors dot com. That's Legacy Dash
Exteriors dot com. And who speakingof a little bit of traveling and spending
time in the northern part of thestate, you have, you have a
place up there that you like toget you from time to time. You're
having your roof replaced up there, aren't you actually all the siding and windows.
I've already had the room. Ohyou're doing the siding and windows.

(05:10):
Yeah. Do you know anybody thatthat you call to get that stuff taken
care of? I make my guysgo up there and do it. I
bet they. I bet they're allbombed about hanging out that. Yeah.
No, I mean, uh,you know, our guys, I feel
are the are the best in theindustry, and that's who I want working
on my personal property up there. And um, yeah, we're excited.

(05:31):
We're actually we chose um triple panepro Via windows and LP Smart Sight siding.
You were showing me some pictures ofthe siding and a little bit of
the project. Um, it's it'sit goes to show. And you mentioned,
um, you know your guys andthe work that they do. That's
important is not only do you standnot only are you are you the owner,

(05:54):
but your client is one yeah right, yeah, yeah, and uh
and we we went with the trend. So we talked about a few weeks
ago about the trend being mixing differentmaterials on the house to get that customized
look that you want. So weactually did some Bourn batons and two of
the peaks and one of a littlebump out on the front lap everywhere else

(06:18):
and then in the big peak onthe back we separate out the lap with
shakes. So yeah, three differentlittle little ways. And we went with
We put a garden window in thekitchen, which is which is pretty pretty
exciting. We're excited about that becausethat'll just open the place up. And

(06:40):
and for those of you don't knowwhat a garden window it is, it's
it's almost like like a mini baywindow over your kitchen. Yeah, so
it just I mean some people putflowers or spices up in the glass shelving
in there. But it basically we'llopen up that area and just make everything
look bigger and give you more room. So it's it's just a neat kind

(07:05):
of window. And uh, yeah, it's that's the kind of stuff when
we get excited about when we getold, is we have a place to
grow rb. Yeah. My wifeand I were looking at a house and
we and we saw the pantry. We're like, well, that's a lovely
pantry used to look for fun thingthat's now talking this running with Josh gw

(07:30):
it's own around Legacy Exteriors. They'retelling one number six h eight two two
one three thousand. That's two twoone three thousand. Learn more online Legacy
Dash Exteriors dot com. That's LegacyDash Exteriors dot com. And speaking of
those windows, it's almost like ifif a greenhouse and yeah and uh and
a bay window had a baby, that's that's kind of what what they what
it would look like. It's exactlyright. It's it's neat at the functionality

(07:53):
of it's neat. It's just ait's a neat little window. Um and
uh, I actually forgot I orderedit. So when it came, uh,
they're like where does this go?And I'm like, oh, yeah,
that's above the kitchen. That's great. Do we see Madison. I
know there's you know, there's alot of people that are that are really
interesting. Can you do like dothat on any type of home, like

(08:15):
any type of opening or yeah,I think a lot of people, UM
just don't think about doing stuff likethat. Um, but yeah, you
can do that on any type ofhome. I mean there's no um rhyme
or reason what you can do insidethat opening. UM. So yeah,
we we tried to have some fun. We also want to do um,

(08:39):
expand upon the views, So wemade it as much more you know,
viewing opportunity as we could with withstill living in that air. So we
we went with a lot of triplesliders. Um some of that stuff.
Does it help with space? Imean adding people? I don't know that
people always. I guess you seethis a lot when you guys are doing
things like windows and stuff. Evengoing with a larger opening suddenly makes the

(09:03):
room just feel much larger. AndI've got a guess if you're if you're
going wider out and around, that'sreally got to make the room feel yeah
yeah or yeah, bays bows andyou know, the garden windows they're they're
just gonna almost we talk about bringingthe outdoors in. It's kind of kind
of along those same lines. Soit just makes that room bigger and brighter

(09:28):
and more full. What people doand have the window conversation is that is
that often part of that conversation ofsaying, hey, you know again,
I don't know that everybody knows thatthese are available and don't really know what
you know until you get a chanceto talk with them. Is that part
of that conversation People saying, youknow what, we want to update our
windows, and you guys say, hey, you know what might be cool
here or there? Yeah. Ithink that's always part of the design process,

(09:50):
is um bringing our history and backgroundand previous projects into that hole,
you know, and maybe giving themideas that they haven't thought about. I
think there's some homeowners that know exactlyto a tee what they want, and
they have a they just basically handyour list and say, this is exactly

(10:13):
what we want. We've done allthe research just kind of make it happen.
And then there's other homeowners that justknow that they need new stuff but
don't know what's out there and kindof rely on us to bring our knowledge
into the project, which is whichis totally fine, and we're happy to

(10:33):
do it either way. And Ithink even those people that have done all
their research and know exactly what theywant, it's still okay to bring a
couple of fresh new ideas that theyhaven't thought about, because the worst they
can say is Nope, this iswhat I want. I'm not changing it.
That's a cool thing too, Andworking with you guys at Legacy Exteriors,
it's it's really a collaborative process andof course no pressure on any of
it. They'd love to check outyour home, love to give you some

(10:54):
options. So I got to justgive him a call this morning, six
away two two one three thousand. That's two two one three thousand. Josh
and the team at Legacy Exteriors loveto talk with you again. I get
Who's give a call six to atwo two one three thousand. The website
Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com. That'sLegacy Dash Exteriors dot com. We'll continue
our conversation with Josh next as askthe experts with Legacy Exteriors continues right here

(11:16):
on thirteen ten Wiba forty nine thirteenten Wiba Madison in the morning and ask
the experts hanging out with Josh Gowit'sat Legacy Exteriors. The website Legacy dash
exteriors dot com. That's Legacy DashExteriors dot dot com. Tell phone number

(11:37):
six to A two two one threethousand, that's two two one three thousand.
We're talking about mixing and matching andsome some you know, the flexibility
and the options you have at LegacyExteriors. You were telling me about on
the road trip you took out westabout you went to a wing joint and

(11:58):
what was this sauce that you hadon these on these wings? Blueberry chipotle?
That sounds delicious? It actually is? Is it? Really? Yes?
I would say if you see it, it's first time I've ever seen
it on a wing menu, butso I had to try it. Is
there a sweet heat to a littlesmokiness, so what's all? It's definitely

(12:20):
it's definitely blueberry tasting, but it'sgot some heat to it. Really Yeah,
no, try it. I'll haveto give it a if I'm ever
an omaha, Yeah, if you'reever an Omaha and you go to Wings
and Rings it's on the menu andtry it. Definitely, we were looking
online too. I think there's there'ssome companies out there that sell I made
it made that maybe what the butI'll definitely have you are you've never led

(12:45):
me astray No no, and uh. I will say that everybody at the
table that tried it, and there'sprobably ten of us, um, they
all liked it. Not one personsaid that I don't like that. You
know one of the things I've lovedit. The same goes for food as
goes to goes to design is.There used to be very strict rules for

(13:05):
like how things and we ended upwith like a bunch of houses that all
look very much the same. Andwe've gotten to this point where people are
like, you know what, let'slet's do some creative things. Let's try
something a little bit different, andit yields oftentimes, especially if you're working
with the right people. Amazing successis beautiful homes. And I know that

(13:26):
something you know you at Legacy Exteriors, Josh, you and your team pride
yourself at you guys are trailblazers. So in that is there are still and
I know it's a lot of alot of the people that are kind of
doing these big subdivision stuff that arestill kind of stuck in this Every house
should look the same. Nobody shouldsettle for that, should they. No.
I mean, don't get me wrong. If you want your house in

(13:48):
boring Khaki, sure we will doit. Yeah, we will do it.
But I would I would much ratherhave somebody put a little of their
personality into their house and go throughour design process. UM. I think
we have UM a lot of greatUM features that we can bring to the
table to show you exactly what yourhouse is going to look like before it

(14:11):
ever goes up. UM. Andthere's so many cool products on the market
that we can, like you said, mix and match. You don't have
to be pigeonholed into one thing. We can bring other materials, other products
into that home, into that projectfor that you know, that just one

(14:31):
of a kind creative look. AndI think if you're in the market for
sighting, UM windows, any anyof that stuff, I think it's well
worth your time to sit down withone of our consultants and go through the
design process. One of the thingstoo, that's really and you mentioned kind
of going through the design process andcoming up with different ideas. Is UM

(14:52):
even folks who have they maybe they'retheir house the year or two old,
that are saying, you know whatwe want to we want to have something.
You guys are not only working onhomes that have been around and established
for a while, You're you're alsoat legacy exterior years doing doing work on
new homes, oftentimes adding adding thislittle as what they call that in UM
in office space, a little flare. It's that little these these little things

(15:15):
that kind of make that house uniqueand special. You guys do a lot
of work that way as well, though. Yeah, there's tons of products
that we can bring that uniqueness toUM. You know, we talked about
five pound in the past. Theyoffer great products that are going to not
break the bank, you know, and really change the look of that home.
Whether it's trim packages or you know, beam packages or pediments. They

(15:37):
have a ton of different flexibility.UM. You know, we can bring
stone in the mix, we canthere's just so many different UM ways of
going that UM. If you're justlooking to change up maybe the entry way
or they'll just a little bit ofthe front of the house and um,

(15:58):
bring some craw omanship to it.We can completely do that, um without
like I said, breaking the bankand uh really putting a new unique spin
on that front home. It's amazingstuff they can do for you at Legacy
Exteriors. Today's to day pick upphonem gonna call six to eight two two
one three thousand. That's two twoone three thousand on the website Legacy dash
Exteriors dot com. That's a LegacyDash Exteriors dot com. While we're talking

(16:22):
about to adding things to your home, we haven't talked four seasons for a
couple of weeks, and I feellike there's there's been a there's been a
void in my life because four seasons. The sun rooms are so we enjoy
that we've had some great weather andthat's I mean, these things are are
just the perfect addition to any home. And literally it is it can be

(16:44):
in addition to your home. It'snot just a shady place to hang out.
Literally, these spaces can be designedas the extension, a literal extension
of your home. Yeah, theyabsolutely are, UM and UM they are
very very popular. Yeah. Yeah. And speaking of the design process,
that that what Amanda does on thatside of things is truly remarkable, um

(17:11):
because you can go into a virtualworld and see the sunroom on your home
before whatever gets built. So youdesign it with her and then you literally
walk into it, um of whatyou just designed with her and see it
exactly how it's going to look onyour home. It's really neat. It
is amazing that the technology and theobviously the finished products and people are loving

(17:33):
what they what they're getting and theytalk about that customization as well. That
carries through on the on the sunroom in the fourth season side as well.
If you're looking for a sunroom, looking for signing, looking for windows,
looking for a roof, look foranything to make your house beautiful and
some less quality gonna last good dayto give you guys a call at Legacy

the families. You guys all allare very close and and it really shows
that you guys take pride in whatyou do and of course are good people.
All hang out and spend time togethertoo. Yeah, we do spend

(18:41):
time together outside of work, bringthe families together, and it puts us
all. I mean, I thinkwe all have one common goal and we
all have a common core of valuesat Legacy Exteriors, which is which is
important. I mean, I thinkevery company has um you know when it
comes down to a core value system, and we're no different. We're all

(19:03):
aligned and we all strive to takecare of each and every single one of
our customers and put them in theexact spot that they want to be uh
and and hit every budget we canso um, there's zero corners ever caught
from you know, Nikki answering thephones to do you know, unate and

(19:26):
production to ever one of our consultants. They're going to be. They're great
people to work with and truly careabout you and your project and to the
installers putting on the final finishing touches. That's one of the things that's been
really neat over the years and talkingwith you and talking with folks that have
worked with Legacy Exteriors is when itcomes to the you know, the initial

(19:48):
time they work with you, andthen years later the thing, you know
what, we want to maybe dosome new signing and we want to do
some new windows. The right awayeveryone's like, I know exactly who I'm
