(00:00):
Somebody walks. He told me theworld is going to roll me ate the
shop is tool in the shed wibaAnd of course ask the experts hanging out
in studio this morning. We've gotJosh Gawats and Josh welcome back for one.

(00:20):
And you're not alone this week. You like to bring friends along.
I do. I brought my daughterGretta here today. So it's everybody's first
day of school except for hers. How did you get welcome to the show,
Gretta? How did you get outof school this morning? The sixth
graders had to get used to theschool before the seventh and eighth graders.
Ah, so you're out because theywant to make it a nice establishing day

(00:43):
for the sixth graders. So well, great to have you along and great
to get to you a chance tosee what goes on in radio. And
you're gonna be like, that's reallyall that they do? Huh yeah,
certainly this is this is this isour job a day, a full day.
What is it? What goes on? You're looking at it? This
happy where the magic happens. It'sgreat. But we had Brock in last

(01:06):
week, and it's always great catchingup with Brock of course, both Brock
and Josh come to us from LegacyExteriors. Josh Guy which the owner owner
at Legacy Exteriors, the website Legacydash exteriors dot com. That's Legacy Dash
Exteriors dot com number six to eighttwo two one three thousand, that's two
two one three thousand and One ofthe things we've talked about with Brock last
week is a little bit about theprocess and just in folks want to listen

(01:29):
back, and of course out onover to WIBA dot com you can check
out the podcast there. But Josh, one of the things I love is
about kind of how you put togetherthe process with Legacy Exteriors. And one
of the things we didn't get totalk a lot about with Brock, and
I think it's really important is nopressure. Is that's a big for homeowners.
I think sometimes unfortunately it deters peoplefrom doing the right thing because they
feel like, well, if Icall people up, they're gonna come and

(01:52):
they're not gonna leave, or they'regonna make it really hard, They're gonna
make me sign something. I guess, don't do that. Legacy Exteriors do
you no by design, we wantto make the experience for the consumer as
best as it possibly can, andI don't think you can if you're pressured
into a decision. I think that'sa decision that you'll live or you'll learn

(02:13):
to regret. So we want totruly be chosen, and I think the
only way to do that is they'relike, when we go to your house
and give you an estimate, thereis no bid given that day. You
know, we we truly will godown through the interview process, see what
you want to have done, andthen our our sales staff will go home,

(02:36):
put together that bid and email itover in a very detailed format,
so everybody's on the same page. You know exactly what you're getting. I
mean, our bids are actually brokenout to the nail. So it's it's
a I think of easy process foreveryone wanted to be on the same page.

(02:58):
But two, so the homeowner knowsexactly what they're getting in there is
no questions because everything is truly brokenout. And then the experience that way
is it's just a lot more interactive. You the homeowners aren't is you know,
maybe a standoffish because they can feellike, oh, the pressure's coming,
the pressure's coming. They're gonna askme to buy today, and then

(03:21):
that's not fun for anybody. Idon't think it's fun for the the person
that's trying to get the sale becausethey know what's coming and I don't.
And I sure no, it's notfun for a homeowner that's sitting there that
all they want to know is howmuch is this roof gonna cost? I
know I need a new roof, but how much is it going to cost?
And they don't want to be bulliedor pressured into buying it. One

(03:43):
of the really nice things about thatapproach as well is, you know,
not having the pressure and let's signtoday is if you have questions and I'm
one of these people where how manyothers have been a number of times we're
like you and I will be chattingin the morning, We'll literally be walking
out of the studio and I'll belike, oh, I should asked this.
The nice thing is if you havequestions before anything starts, you can
say, hey, what's this orwhat's that? What does this mean?

(04:04):
What's you know for folks? Giveyou a chance to kind of mull over
not only what you're looking to do, but also some of the different aspects
that as a homeowner replacing a roof, you're probably maybe once in your lifetime
going to do. You're probably goingto come across some questions later on that
you're going, gosh, I wish, wish I would have asked. Working
with Legacy Exteriors, you can askthose and it's just part of the part

(04:27):
of the process. Yeah, Ithink we try to educate the consumer on
you know, maybe the what toexpect, the most common things, and
we go over all that. Wealso go over you know, the differences
between you know, our Golden PledgeMaster Elite warrantied roof as opposed to you
know, maybe a standard roof warranty. So we try to go and cover

(04:51):
everything in between. But there's alwaysgoing to be questions that come up because
everybody's home is different, everybody's needsand concerns or different, and we want
to try to fulfill and match them. Talking this morning with Josh Gowit's owner
at Legacy Exteriors, the website LegacyDash Exteriors dot com. That's Legacy Dash
Exteriors dot com. Going to payclose attention to this week's program and each

(05:13):
and every week's program, but thisweek Josh is going to have a back
to school special while we're hanging outthis morning. I got Josh's daughter in
studio with us this morning, notcutting class, folks. Some truancy officers
probably listening, going, wait what, No, got the day off until
starting tomorrow. And we'll talk aboutthat back to school special a little bit
later on the segment. But Josh, as we talk about roofs and roofing,

(05:34):
you mentioned the different options, andwe're not just talking options when it
comes to different materials or different differentmanufacturers and those type of things. There's
also I mentioned materials things like evennot just angles roofs with asphalt shingles,
but flat roofs. You guys doflat roofs as well, rubber, membranes

(05:57):
and those type of things, don'tyou. Yeah, we do all kinds
of low slope roofs. So whetherit's you know, epdum rubber or t
pouh. Deck Tech is a verypopular one. Then we've been doing a
ton of and dec Tech is afor those of you who haven't heard of
it, it's a low slope roofingsystem that's made to be literally like a

(06:21):
deck. Oh real, Yeah,so you can go out and walk on
it. And enjoy it, useit as you would actually a custom built
deck. But this roofing system youcan get it to look like marble floors
or wood wood plank floors or otherother colors and designs. But yeah,

(06:44):
it's it's made to you know, put tables on it, walk on it,
and use it as a fully functionaldeck. Oh really, I've got
a guess, not only for homes, but that's got to be if you've
got, for example, a commercialbuilding, maybe you've got like a restaurant
or a place serves cocktails, Havinga little space like that if you've if
you've got the right area would bejust amazing. Yeah, I think everybody

(07:08):
would try to maximize their spaces ifthey can. So if you have an
outdoor space that maybe you're afraid toput tables and chairs down or actually utilize
it as a outdoor space or adeck, check out deck Tech. It's
a much thicker membrane, so it'sit's made to take that, you know,

(07:30):
abuse, because it's just that muchmore durable. But it's also functionally
beautiful because they have so many moredesigns. You know, it's not just
that traditional black sure, you know, rubber roof it is actually a beautiful
long standing roof. Are you seeingmore as we talk about whether it's a
commercial project or I know a lotof homes and folks talking things about the

(07:53):
four seasons sun rooms and other things. Is with the housing market the way
it is, folks are oftentimes stayingwhere stand put longer and wanting to do
that. Are you seeing more peoplesaying, you know what, this may
be a time to do some ofthese, whether it's the addition with the
four season sunrooms or if they've gotthat flat, flat space of saying,
you know what, we're here, let's really put some stuff into this.

(08:15):
And whether it's going deck tech orgoing four seasons, are you seeing more
people kind of expanding out that way? Yeah, expanding out or upgrading what
they have as well. So likemaybe instead of a vinyl sighting, they're
going to submit board sighting. AndI think with a combo of starting in
COVID, you know where everybody wascooped up in their home and and now

(08:39):
we have high interest rates, Somaybe moving isn't the best idea if you're
locked into a you know, alow interest rates. So the right idea
maybe is let's put an addition onthe house. Let's upgrade the house in
some way somehow, but it's it'sdefinitely not going the cheapest route. I
think that what we're seeing is they'respending a lot more on the design process.

(09:03):
They're spending a lot more time pickingout the right material that's the best
fit for them. And then whenit comes to the four season stuff,
that's just adding another beautiful space toyour your home, increasing your square footage,
but in so in a way whereyou're bringing the outdoors in. I've

(09:24):
got to guess you love that qualitytrend. I mean for what you guys
do at Legacy Exteriors when people arestarting to look saying, you know what
we want, we want not onlysomething that's gonna look great, but since
we're going to stay here, wewant to make sure and ensure it's going
to last a long time and beat the highest quality. I've got a
guess with Legacy Exteriors, that's beena great, great thing for you guys.
It goes hand in hand with Ithink what we believe in as a

(09:45):
company. If you actually, youknow, look at what we do and
our certifications for everything like LP smartSide, we're the only we're the contractor.
That's the highest level in Wisconsin GAFsame thing. We're at the highest
level Mastick. So all these productsthat we carry and that we stand behind,

(10:09):
we're at the highest level with themanufacturer. So we're taking the time
going through the training, doing everythingthat we need to do to be not
only trained by the manufacturer, butjust certification after certification after certification. That
way, we are at the highestlevel because we want to do things the
right way and install in the bestpractice as is possible. And I think

(10:33):
the homeowner a consumer taking the timeto not go the cheapest route fits hand
in hand with what we're trying toaccomplish as a company. It's pretty amazing
stuff. And as we talk aboutsetting up that appointment at Legacy Exteriors,
whether you're thinking about beautifying your home, maybe you'd have that roof that's looking
a little long in the tooth, you're saying, you know what we need

(10:54):
to replace it, or again, different types of signing, different types of
seating areas. We talk about thefour seasons rooms. It's a great time
to start that conversation. It's goingto be no pressure to you learn what
they can do for you. AtLegacy Exteriors, So I gotta do this
morning. Pick up the phone, give him a call. Six O eight
two two one three thousand. That'stwo two one three thousand. The website
Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com. That'sLegacy Dash Exteriors dot Com. We'll talk

(11:18):
a little bit more with Josh.I'll also get you that back to school
specially you're gonna want to listen veryclosely to coming up right after the break
here on thirteen ten WIBA eight fiftythree thirteen ten WIBA and ask the experts

(11:41):
hanging out with Josh Gawit's owner atLegacy Exteriors. The website Legacy Dash Exteriors
dot com. That's Legacy Dash Exteriorsdot com. DOLF number six O eight
two two one three thousand. That'stwo two one three thousand. By the
way, you're talking about one ofthe reasons why folks are staying in their
in their houses longer. One,it's sometimes really hard to find find a
house. It's also with interest rates, where they are people sitting on those

(12:05):
lower interest rates of saying, youknow, and I don't think I want
to I don't think I want tochange things. One are the cool things
about legacy exteriors along the road andthe path of interest rates. You guys
have financing, and I don't knowhow you do it. I wish you
did mortgages because I think we would. Yeah, we wouldn't be popular,

(12:26):
you would be very popular. Butyou've got a variety of different financing options
for folks and just really amazing opportunitiesfor folks that say, you know what
if it's like a roof or something, get on the schedule right now,
and you say, if it's ifit's needed, you don't want to waste
any time. You say, well, what about being able to finance it?
You guys have just awesome financing foryour projects, don't you. Yeah,

(12:48):
a lot of different options out there, all the way up to I
think it's eleven years. Oh yeah, a lot of zero percent interest financing
options. I think there's a planfor for anybody. And people are like,
oh, I don't finance anything. It's bad, bad, bad,
bad. Well if I can giveyou free money, yeah, but you
know, I think that's not abad route to go. That's pretty amazing.

(13:09):
Yeah, it's funny those people arelike, and I live with one
of those. We're not We're justgonna pay for it. We're not gonna
And then they start hearing spot like, wait a second, I live with
one of those two. Yes,I think that's why you and I are
so responsible. Is not us,it's having and others take care of those
things. I want that stuff.Talking this morning with Josh Cowit's owner of
Legacy Exteriors, again, I wasthinking about doing that project. It's a

(13:31):
great day to start that conversation.Give McCall six to a two two one
three thousand. That's two two onethree thousand and again, if you've got
and I know Josh, we've doneshows on this in the past, roofs
in particular, if it is somethingthat needs to be done, winter,
as we all know in Wisconsin isharsh, it's coming. It's yeah,
and it's gonna get here, andyou don't want to put that stuff off.

(13:52):
But again, the great thing aboutworking with him is have him take
a look see what's going on withyour house again, whether it's something that's
needed or something that you really justwant to do to beautify your home.
No pressure, and it's just agreat system they have at Legacy Exteriors.
Josh got a couple of minutes leftbefore we get get to kind of wrapping
things up. You mentioned it backto school special, and I did,
and I didn't talk to my teamabout this in any way. They love

(14:13):
it when you do that. Youknow, they love surprises. So what
are we talking? What are wethinking about this week? So typically I
do these specials where maybe I haveextra materials laying around and and it's limited.
We did a sighting special not toolong ago with leftover Sighting and we
give it away for the price ofLP or I mean we gave LP for

(14:35):
the price of final. Yes,that was very popular. The only problem
is we only had one house togo around. So I'm gonna make this
to reward all the parents for takingcare of their kids all summer and now
they are back to school. Soyou need to reward yourself parents. Yes,
So any project, whether it's roughsiding, windows, gotter's decks,

(15:00):
four seasons, whatever, we areoffering ten percent off, ten percent off,
Are you kidding me? But onlyphone calls for today only today,
only today. We're not offering tenpercent forever, So tell let Nikki know
when you call in this morning. That is right, Josh said, any
project today, only project ten percentoff ten percent off. Give him a

(15:20):
call right now, Legacy Exteriors sixto eight. Yeah. The one thing
I'll add, yeah, is,like I've always said, I don't care.
We do definitely do not have tobe your only call, and we
shouldn't be your only call, butI definitely think we should be one of
your phone calls if you're thinking abouta home exterior project, just because I

(15:41):
think you'll truly see what we've beentalking about, like the legacy difference.
That is great to have and greatto hear. And of course that's one
of those calls you should be making. Six to eight two two one three
thousand. That's two two one threethousand. See what makes them different,
see what makes them special, Seewhat they can do for you in your
home, and again that back toschool special today only any project ten percent
off, make those phones ring thismorning. Six to eight two two one

(16:04):
three thousand. That's six o eighttwo two one three thousand. The website
Legacy dash Exteriors dot com. That'sLegacy Dash Exteriors dot com. Gawitza is
great to see both of you.Enjoy the day you too. Let's see
you guys. Dan o'donald is yourchance to win a thousand dollars next year.
