Sixteen ten WIBA and ask the experts. Hanging out this morning with Josh gow
Its owner at Legacy Exteriors. Thewebsite Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com. That's
Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com. They'retelephone number sixth of eight two two one
three thousand. That's two two onethree thousand, and again online Legacy Dash
Exteriors dot Com. Josh, howthe heck you doing today? I'm doing

(00:27):
good. It's good to see you. It's it's a most wonderful time a
year. I think a lot ofit. I think a lot of us
are thinking to look at the forecast. We're thinking, oh life is Winter's
over. Oh my goodness, finallyit's over. And we got a lot
of ground to cover and we're gonnawe're gonna build this week, build get
it off of some opportunities at LegacyExteriors. But not only we're gonna talk

(00:48):
about the opportunities, but we're alsogonna talk about, um some of the
different aspects of Legacy Exteriors. Andnot only as we've talked in the past
about the different products and all thedifferent training and all the great things that
Legacy Exteries. You also have differentdivisions at Legacy Exteriores, and we'll start
off with an opportunity in your commercialdivision. You got you're looking for an
estimator. Let's talk about what anestimator does, but also then want to

(01:11):
talk about what you guys do whenit comes to commercial projects. Yeah,
so the estimator that we're looking foris on the commercial side of things.
So that estimator would be for themost part, responsible for obviously reading plans,
putting a bid together for that givenscope of that project for the general

(01:33):
contractor or the builder, and ifit goes through with us, then you're
responsible for obviously managing the build ofthat contract. So when it comes to
commercial projects, I know, Ithink we've talked in the past, especially
we talk about roof roofs and thosetype of things, but you guys do
siding and everything as well on commercialprojects. Yeah, so on the commercial

(01:56):
side of things, we are youknow, primly we're going to be doing
siting and roofing, whether it's goingto be asphalt or flat, which would
be you know, tpo or rubberso um, we would have totally do
windows, but usually the framers orare doing the windows, So the only
thing that you know we're coming intodoing is the sighting soft and Facia will

(02:22):
definitely do the gutters and down spoutsand then and then the roofing on those
projects. I think of things likeretail, UM also condos, those types
of like apartment compliment those type ofthings as well. Yeah, multifamily is
primarily what we stick to, butUM we've done UM anything that you can
think of on the commercial side ofthings. It's we definitely want to stick

(02:46):
with what we know and in ourdomain. So UM thankfully, ay a
lot of UM specs on commercial projectshas been coming back as UM, either
LP smart Side or UM James Hardycement board, which is obviously two of
our main products that we do ona daily basis, and we're at the

(03:07):
highest level for each of those manufacturers, so we're a nice fit for anything
and everything of those UH kind ofscopes I think of. I think of
multifamily units. We're talking bigger projectsthere, and that's one of the things
too, whether you're a homeowner oryou're you're somebody that that has maybe some
rental property or some other things biggersmall. You guys at Legacy Exteriors have

(03:27):
more than more than the staff, the equipment, the materials to do all
different types of work. Yeah,I mean, we are definitely picky on
the projects that we do choose foron the commercial side of things, because
we we we definitely realize that wecan't and don't want to do at all,
um So we definitely are picky onwhat we're bidding out. So like
just right over here, we didthat project and that took us. You

(03:53):
know, that project was obviously abouta year, which was which is great,
tons tons of multi family units andmixed bace and we were happy to
be a part of it and weactually did everything on the exterior. Though,
when you when you're driving to thestation, do you call the wife
and say I did that building?Yeah? Yeah. Talking this morning with

(04:14):
Josh Cowit's owner at Legacy Exteriors, the website Legacy dash Exteriors dot com.
Their telephone number six to A twotwo one three thousand, that's two two
one three thousand. If you aresomebody looking for a great career with a
great company, if you're in commercialestimation or understand a little bit about that
stuff, they'd love to talk toyour Legacy Exteriors. Also if you've got
commercial property, whether it's rental orretail, multifamily, those type of things.

(04:36):
You got some projects for Josh andthe team. They'd love to talk
to you as well. Beckafhol we'regonna call six so a two two one
three thousand. That's two two onethree thousand, and before we get to
the next two job opportunities, let'sjust talk to about Legacy Exterior. It's
kind of an overall view of thecompany and what a great team you have
at Legacy Exteriors. Well, Ithink you're right. I think we have

(04:58):
one of the best teams in thisindustry. Um, everybody's on the same
page. Everybody has one common goal, which is which is what you want
on any team. Um. Butum, we've you know, worked,
we work really well together, we'refriends outside. Um, so that that
definitely helps, uh put us atone goal. But um, yeah,

(05:19):
everybody has their job, and uh, you know it's kind of the Bill
Belichick thing. As long as everybodydoes their job, you know things are
going to go in the right direction. Obviously, UM, you want people
with with the skills and and thethe desire, yeah, and the desire
to grow and improve. But you'realso looking for personality fits as well,

(05:41):
people that are you know. Iknow, um, you guys really enjoy
the work that you do, andyou really want somebody like that as well
that's going to have that positive attitude. Yeah, I think the um the
nice part about everybody that works thereis is we would truly get along with
anybody in any personality as long asyou know that person is doing a what

(06:03):
they should be doing in a goodjob. But yeah, the next job
opportunity that we're going to be talkingabout is onsite project manager for sunrooms,
Yeah, which I know we hada mandan a couple of weeks ago and
we've been talking about four seasons andthe other sunrooms and all the great options.
I know from talking with you offthe air, people are are really

(06:27):
getting out the schedule and you havea need for more help and then you're
looking for an onsite project manager therearen't you. Yeah, So we want
a person that's dedicated to decks andsunrooms, so anything outside building on those
ends of things, and their theirresponsibilities would be just like it says,
going on site managing that project, making sure that the room or the deck

(06:48):
is going up exactly the way itneeds to be going up. If the
homeowner has any questions, they're there, go between with them in production,
making sure all materials are on siteas needed, um, and just truly
managing the build of that project, whether it's a you know, a sunroom,

(07:09):
life room, a deck, um, a pergola. So that person
is going to be the on sitemanager for that entire division. It's that
kind of a point person as wellfor the homeowner. Is that kind of
we talk about the importance of communication, somebody that's that's really good at taking
calls and questions. It's nice tohave a dedicated person on site that homeowner
if they have any questions about anything, they know exactly who to go to,

(07:31):
and there's a there's a face tothat, rather than you know,
calling the office or going out toone of the crew members, um there.
It's it's just nice to have adedicated person for anything and everything.
Let's talk about Yeah, we mentioned, of course legacy exteriors. We've been
talking, of course about the fourseason sunrooms, which are wildly popular for
darn good reason. I mentioned decksas well, and that's another area you

(07:54):
guys, and I know that's oneof the areas also as we talk about
four season sunrooms that that keep youguys busy. The deck deck area,
you guys really fill up quickly oftenon that It's, um, it is
crazy how popular decks have been thisyear. Um, it's uh, I
mean we have been getting so manyinquiries about deck builds this year. So

(08:16):
that's why you know, this positionis a new position to us. Um,
but it's it's almost become a needof how big that division has become.
With obviously you said Amanda has donea phenomenal job on the sunroom into
things, and um, we justfelt that this position has high importance of

(08:37):
making sure not only the jobs arerunning smoothly as as as humanly possible,
but um, just to have aface for that homeowner on site. Has
something too with with decks, withwith modern composites, has that really encouraged
live of this. I obviously woulddeck, especially if you've got a really
nice wood, is great, Butthere's there's something about composites. Not only

(09:00):
are they are they durable, butthey have gotten so phenomenal when it comes
to to the look and longevity ofthem that it is that part of what
drives this as people saying, youknow what it's time to time to upgrade,
or time to take that step.Yeah, I think people don't want
maintenance, yes, whether that's maintenancefree, sighting, or you know,
I think decking is no different. We've all probably anyone else that had a

(09:22):
wood deck know the how horrible youknow, staining spindles can be. Yeah,
you know it's the worst. Whereyou know, most of our decks
are our composite and then an aluminumrailing to go with the composite, and
um, you know they're completely maintenancefree. We put a lifetime craftsmanship warranty

(09:43):
on them. Um. And youknow it's really you know, people want
to spend that hard earned money inthe right spot. Obviously composite decks are
a little bit more than wood decks. But if you add up all the
maintenance hours in the stain or painor whatever you're gonna have to do to
that would deck, Um, Ithink you're really really gonna like the investment.

(10:05):
In the end, it's a reallyreally nice really obviously a great opportunity
if if you've got interest or abackground of course, whether it's at sun
rooms and decking in that type ofarea, if you're a good people person,
they'd love to talk with you atLegacy Exteriors pick up phone, give
a call this morning six OA twotwo one three thousand. That's two two
one three thousand. And if you'restanding at your back door right now looking
out there, going gosh, Ithink a beautiful deck would be would be

(10:28):
fantastic. Or if the deck thatyou have now is kind of getting long
in the tooth, today's to dayto pick up phone, give a call
as well. Six to A twotwo one three thousand. You want to
add something I can tell well,I'm just my thought processes. If you're
in construction, give us a call. Yeah, you know, I don't
care if you work for a competitoror used to work in construction. If

(10:50):
you're good at what you do andwe haven't mentioned it here today, I
want to hear from you. Ifthat's all that's all you need to know
is yeah, if you're if you'reif you're skilled, if you're a good
person, they'd love to talk toyou. Legacy Exterier six two two one
three thousand, that's two two onethree thousand. It speaking of skilled and
good at your work, We've gota third opportunity, specific opportunity we're talking
with Josh about when it comes toroofing, siding, windows, that type

(11:11):
of individual as well. We willdo all of that next MetOp Inbent the
website. What are you doing?Head on over there now Legacy Dash Exteriors
dot Com. That's Legacy Dash Exteriorsdot Com. They're telephon number six O
H two two one three thousand atsix O two two one three thousand to
do our conversation with Josh Goal. It's a Legacy Exteriers. We will do
that next as ask the Experts continuesright here at thirteen ten WIBA. It's

(11:41):
owner at Legacy Exteriors. The websiteLegacy Dash Exteriors dot com. That's Legacy
Dash Exteriors dot Com. We talkabout all the great things that they can
do at Legacy Exteriors for you andyour home. Great website to kind of
see some of that stuff firsthand, whether it's your residential, your property known
as your home or commercial name gunchip covered Legacy Exteriors. Check them out
again online. Legacy Dash Exteriors dotCom. Tell number six to eight two

(12:05):
two one three thousand, that's twotwo one three thousand. Talking about some
opportunities at legacy exteriors, and aswe talk about these three specific ones,
will get to third one in justa moment. But as you mentioned before
the break, even if it's notsomething specifically that we mentioned today, if
you're a skilled person and really lookingto work with a great company, you
guys are always looking for that rightperson, aren't you. Absolutely? And

(12:26):
I would say that if if you'venever if say you're just used to sales,
I think, and you're not head, don't have any construction knowledge or
something like that, that first one, that commercial estimator might be up your
alley, okay, because I don'tthink you know the construction into things as
far as what you would need toknow for that position can be all taught.

(12:50):
It's more about you know, connectionsand relationship building, you know,
between you and the general contractor.Obviously we can take care of the rest
on the production into things. That'swhat we do. So if you're if
you're in sales, you're a goodpeople person, Um, you're a good

(13:11):
relationship builder. UM. I wouldsay give that one a shot, give
us a call, Um, we'llsit down and talk about it. But
obviously on the on site construction intothings, we want somebody that's acknowledgeable on
anything and everything construction and this nextone, yes, yeah, this is
and this is a great one toofor people that have have those skill sets

(13:33):
and really want a little bit ofvariety as well, looking for a general
labor or somebody that can do windows, roofing, doors, all that stuff.
Right, this is it kind offalls into our service technician things.
So if it would be extremely helpfulif this person was skilled in sighting,
roofing, and windows, um,it would be it would be really nice.

(13:58):
Somebody calls in and they need, you know, a window repair or
roof repair, sighting repair, thesethis person is our service technician that we
would send out on site able tohandle um any and all problems, diagnosing
leaks, repairing of basic elements there. Um. But if you're not skilled

(14:20):
in all of those, that's okay. You train, Yeah, we can
train, we can, we canspecialize. So say they're highly skilled and
installing windows, we want that person. You want them, yeah, so
we will just put that person intoeverything and everything windows. One of the
things that's it's also interesting about Legacysix years ago. If you're that person

(14:43):
or any of these people again, give Josh call six to A two two
one three thousand, Say hi toNikkei this morning six to A two two
one three thousand. We were talkingabout decks earlier. Um. One of
the things I know from from seeingyour website talk with you over the years,
you guys do repairs on all ofthese things as well, is la
la people realize that is you guys. Um, you know, somebody's got

(15:03):
to talk about decks. Maybe adeck that's got some got some issues from
years of wear and tear. Um, you guys can come out and do
repairs on that siding, those kindof thing storms come through. You guys
do the repairs as well. AndI'm guessing part of this position is is
somebody that's capable of, you know, almost being the nice handyman that can
that can help out diagnose and repairissues. Yeah. Not every company like

(15:26):
ours does repairs. Yeah, youknow, for a variety of reasons.
It's something that we've always offered, you know, to help aid in not
only future companies, but past orfuture customers I should say, and past
customers. So it's a it's ait's a division that has um grown over
the years because not a lot ofpeople do it. UM and it's definitely

(15:50):
a service we want to continue tooffer. But obviously the more skilled labor
we can get in, the morewe want um and all of these positions
we didn't mention, but we will. You know, the pay would be
above industry standard, so and fullbenefits, company matching, retirement, all

(16:12):
all the goodies. Yes, yeah, So, I think if anybody that
here's one of these jobs that we'relisted today and they're remotely interested, give
us a call, we'll set upan interview, we will go over obviously
their resume, and I think they'lllike what Legacy Exteriors has to offer as
far as the careers go. SixA two two one three thousand. That's

(16:34):
six A two two one three thousandfor Legacy Exteriors. Learn more about them
as well online Legacy Dash Exteriors dotcom. That's Legacy Dash Exteriors dot Com.
Got a couple of minutes left toJosh. I've been talking this week
about hiring, but I think it'simportant as well to talk about seasonally as
we speak. I know we've beentalking about four season sunrooms, and for
good reason, you guys offer avariety of different ways to extend the the

(17:00):
summer and spring and fall months intolater and later and later. And that's
been very very popular for you guys, hasn't it. Yeah, I think
everybody would want that on their home. Yeah, I mean, I know
I do. I'm sure you do. So the bringing the outdoor space um
indoors is fun because Wisconsin's one ofthe only places on Earth that experiences all

(17:22):
four seasons in the matter of liketwo days. So it's nice to have
a space that you can still viewand feel like you're outside yea, but
go in sicked out of the elementsand there and there's and as we talked
to about the specifically the four seasonssun rooms and the life room, the
pergola, all the other options withthose, I think people are absolutely amazed
when they see what you can.But you can combine combine them, so

(17:47):
meaning you know, the motorized pergolaroof, you can put wall sections on
it um and have the you know, the screens that retract up. Wow.
So it's it's it's unlimited options whenit comes to the four seasons.
Have you done any commercial uh jobswith with the four seasons sun rooms?
Have you had any inquiries about theseats you talk Okay, yeah, it

(18:11):
sounds like something too. Not onlyfor everybody's venues, UM, lots of
lots of stuff like that. Ithink outdoor patios, you know, the
pergola system is is such an answerto because you know, experiening the outdoor
space for restaurants and things of thatnature is nice. But if you just
have a pergola and it's raining, obviously you can't have your patron sitting under

(18:34):
there. So the motorized pergola systemfixes all that. So if it starts
raining, the roof closes and peoplecan sit underneath it. It's like your
favorite ballpark Suddenly it's got a retractableroof. Right, great, Yeah,
check it out. I learn moreabout whether it's the four seasons or of
course all the other great things siding, roof, roofs, decks, repair

(18:55):
all the windows windows, if it'soutside, Yeah, calls, give them
a call. Legacy Exteriors tell phonenumber six to a two two one three
thousand. That's two two one threethousand online Legacy Dash Exteriors dot com.
That's a Legacy Dash Exteriors dot Comalso talked about some of the great opportunities
if you're looking to work with agreat company and work with great people.
If you are a great person, they'd love to talk with you at Legacy
Exteriors same number six o A twotwo one three thousand and online Legacy dash

(19:18):
exteriors dot com. Josh, it'salways too much fun hanging out with you,
my friend, You too, enjoythis beautiful day, Dan O'Donnell.
