safety. These guys are just thatgood. So when you get ready to
run the ball on third and five, when you're thinking you're gonna pass,

six foot two hundred pounds. We'regonna run on him. But you can't
do that against the forty nine ers. You can't do that against green Law,
you can't do that against Ward.These guys coming down here at two
thirty two, forty breaking backs.You know, they almost broke Jalen Hurst.
That's why we talking about Jalen Hurstbecause he went open field. They're

great open field tacklers. That iswhat the Cowboys are missing, that great
open field tackler, that big guythat can come downhill and bang with the
guards and centers. That is whythe forty nine ers have that slight edge.
The Philadelphia Eagles got a good enoughdefensive line, but they don't have
the linebackers, so now it affectsthe back end coverage altogether. The Cowboys

have pretty decent coverage linebackers, butwe can't stop the run, not against
the big boys consistently. But theforty nine ers can. They don't have
to change your thing. They canplay man coverage with their safeties and corners,
or they can play zone with theircorners and safeties. Because those two
linebackers they have, that is thekey to why they got the slight edge.

They can make adjustments. And neverlose their leader in ward. He
ain't never coming off the field.So that's one big thing that people better
understand is how big linebackers players,and how most teams that don't have those
great linebackers hurt themselves in big games. All Right, So when the Cowboys

lost, as you mentioned, four, five, six weeks ago, whatever
it was, when they lost tothe forty nine ers, we were concerned
at the time rightly that the nextweek they would basically lose two games to
the forty nine ers, that theywould be so beat up that they wouldn't
be ready to go the following week. Thankfully, they did fine. You
know, they got through. Theybeat the they beat the Chargers that week,

and that was a good victory anda nice bounce back. Can we
expect, hope, you know,wonder if the Eagles will have the the
you know, stuffing knocked out ofthem so badly that this could be that
effect on them that the Cowboys theymight not be ready because they got so

would play the Eagles, then theywould come back the next week and play
Green Bay, and they would comeback the next week and play the forty

your two quarterbacks are intact, thisgame is owned and popping. Yeah,
I'm just trying to cling to alittle bit of hope here, Nate,
trying to get rid of the hope. Man. The hope is who's gonna

them happen to you. And don'tyou have too many bad plays because status
will make you lose this game.All right, So let's talk about the
cowboy perspective more Now we've done alot on the Eagle side of things since
Mike McCarthy got to Dallas. Histeams are eleven and two in the month

of December. Nate, Now thatwas a month that wasn't great for the
Cowboys. I mean it was backin your day. Everything was great for
the Cowboys. But you know therewas a stretch there in the two thousands
where the Cowboys couldn't do anything inDecember. Now they've been good. They're
eleven and two. You know what, what do we attribute that success?

Because you know, you always havethe Eagles, and they've beaten the Eagles
twice. Two of those eleven wins, by the way or against the Eagles.
Why are they so good in Decemberunder Mike McCarthy, Better players,
better understanding of how to use thoseplayers. But more importantly, these players
have been healthy. Even though offensiveline I don't think is as good as

it was four or five years ago, they're playing with continuity. Coach Clart,
the offensive line coach knows how touse these guys and keeps them fresh
and ready to go. And sonow that is the key. You're playing
with better players, you're understanding howto scheme these players to help themselves be

successful in these players are healthy enoughto follow follow the game plan all right.
And one of the things we hearalong those lines is like a Tyrone
Smith does not practice on certain daysand has reduced reps on other days just
in an effort to keep this thirtythree year old body healthy. So far

this year, his you know,his availability has been much greater than it
has in the past. Is thisworking? Is this something you're in favor
of up into this way? Iwould not not things that is positive that
helps a player be better. Tyronehas played forever, so he the only
thing he has to do is makesure his uh, his film study has

to go up a notch because he'snot out there on the field running a
whole lot of reps. But he'sdoing enough reps to stay in timing with
his left guard, which is TylersSmith. So now this thing is working,
we have to have him healthy.He is one of the bear to
five linemen that's on our offensive lineman. He's one of those veteran guys that
we need is present because Josh Wettand guys like that are going to be

bringing that hamlet. Graham is goingto be bringing the hamlet this week,
so we're going to need for theseguys to be own time. And what
they're doing with Tyron, Yeah,it's kind of out of a character,
but sometime when you're dealing with olderplayers and trying to hold him together and
keep them mended up, that's whatyou need to do. And coach mccarthury
and Mike celauriy doing a great jobof keeping him mentally prepared. Yeah,

which does nothing. I mean,again, you mentioned the offensive line.
You know, Terrence Steele looks muchmore healthy. We're getting Zach Martin as
we've known and loved this future Hallof Famer, right, I mean,
we're getting better play out of theoffensive line, and that has just had
such a positive effect on the quarterback. Dak Prescott's playing as well as he's

ever played in my opinion, Nate, and again is very firmly in the
middle of the MVP conversation. Youknow, Rad, the accolades will always
take care of themselves, especially.This is what I admire and love about
playing with the Cowboys. We don'thave to be as great as other teams.

We just have to continue to winand accolades because we are the Dallas
Cowboys. We are America's steam.I don't worry about accolades they come because
we are who we are. Allwe have to do is win. Winning
will do all of that. Youcan have mahomes and through for thirty five

touchdowns, ten interceptions, five thousandyards and almost get to the super Bowl.

mean by that they were more physical, run, stopping and running the ball.

Eagles get one of the starting linebackersback this week, so we'll see if

they were demoralized the Eagles almost asmuch as the Cowboys were by the
forty nine Ers. It appears thatPhiladelphia certainly could use him more, you

know, in their defense in theirweeks ago, we would have started forty
nine Ers games and we would sayit appears that we could use him more.
The one thing that the one thingthat the forty nine ers have that
the Eagles and Cowboys don't have.And listen to me closely, rad let

that the forty nine ers have thatthe Cowboys and the Eagles sorely lack is
linebackers that can tackle versus the run, and linebackers that can cover. We
don't have both. We have packagesthat we can send in, but we

don't have that Ward or that Greenthat can stay in the game and just
say, hey, okay, nownow I'm a nickel, I'm a nickel
safety. These guys are just thatgood. So when you get ready to
run the ball on third and five, when you're thinking you're gonna pass,
oh, look at that little linebackerthere. Oh man, he's a number

six foot two hundred pounds. We'regonna run on him. But you can't
do that against the forty nine ers. You can't do that against green Law,
you can't do that against Ward.These guys coming down here at two
thirty two, forty breaking backs.You know, they almost broke Jalen Hurst.
That's why we talking about Jalen Hurstbecause he went open field. They're

great open field tacklers. That iswhat the Cowboys are missing, that great
open field tackler, that big guythat can come downhill and bang with the
guards and centers. That is whythe forty nine ers have that slight edge.
The Philadelphia Eagles got a good enoughdefensive line, but they don't have
the linebackers, so now it affectsthe back end coverage altogether. The Cowboys

have pretty decent coverage linebackers, butwe can't stop the run, not against
the big boys consistently. But theforty nine ers can. They don't have
to change your thing. They canplay man coverage with their safeties and corners,
or they can play zone with theircorners and safeties. Because those two
linebackers they have, that is thekey to why they got the slight edge.

They can make adjustments. And neverlose their leader in ward. He
ain't never coming off the field.So that's one big thing that people better
understand is how big linebackers players,and how most teams that don't have those
great linebackers hurt themselves in big games. All Right, So when the Cowboys

lost, as you mentioned, four, five, six weeks ago, whatever
it was, when they lost tothe forty nine ers, we were concerned
at the time rightly that the nextweek they would basically lose two games to
the forty nine ers, that theywould be so beat up that they wouldn't
be ready to go the following week. Thankfully, they did fine. You
know, they got through. Theybeat the they beat the Chargers that week,

and that was a good victory anda nice bounce back. Can we
expect, hope, you know,wonder if the Eagles will have the the
you know, stuffing knocked out ofthem so badly that this could be that
effect on them that the Cowboys theymight not be ready because they got so

would play the Eagles, then theywould come back the next week and play

cowboy perspective more Now we've done alot on the Eagle side of things since
Mike McCarthy got to Dallas. Histeams are eleven and two in the month

of December. Nate, Now thatwas a month that wasn't great for the
Cowboys. I mean it was backin your day. Everything was great for
the Cowboys. But you know therewas a stretch there in the two thousands
where the Cowboys couldn't do anything inDecember. Now they've been good. They're
eleven and two. You know what, what do we attribute that success?

Because you know, you always havethe Eagles, and they've beaten the Eagles
twice. Two of those eleven wins, by the way or against the Eagles.
Why are they so good in Decemberunder Mike McCarthy, Better players,
better understanding of how to use thoseplayers. But more importantly, these players
have been healthy. Even though offensiveline I don't think is as good as

it was four or five years ago, they're playing with continuity. Coach Clart,
the offensive line coach knows how touse these guys and keeps them fresh
and ready to go. And sonow that is the key. You're playing
with better players, you're understanding howto scheme these players to help themselves be

successful in these players are healthy enoughto follow follow the game plan all right.
And one of the things we hearalong those lines is like a Tyrone
Smith does not practice on certain daysand has reduced reps on other days just
in an effort to keep this thirtythree year old body healthy. So far

this year, his you know,his availability has been much greater than it
has in the past. Is thisworking? Is this something you're in favor
of up into this way? Iwould not not things that is positive that
helps a player be better. Tyronehas played forever, so he the only
thing he has to do is makesure his uh, his film study has

to go up a notch because he'snot out there on the field running a
whole lot of reps. But he'sdoing enough reps to stay in timing with
his left guard, which is TylersSmith. So now this thing is working,
we have to have him healthy.He is one of the bear to
five linemen that's on our offensive lineman. He's one of those veteran guys that
we need is present because Josh Wettand guys like that are going to be
(19:10):
bringing that hamlet. Graham is goingto be bringing the hamlet this week,
so we're going to need for theseguys to be own time. And what
they're doing with Tyron, Yeah,it's kind of out of a character,
but sometime when you're dealing with olderplayers and trying to hold him together and
keep them mended up, that's whatyou need to do. And coach mccarthury
and Mike celauriy doing a great jobof keeping him mentally prepared. Yeah,

which does nothing. I mean,again, you mentioned the offensive line.
You know, Terrence Steele looks muchmore healthy. We're getting Zach Martin as
we've known and loved this future Hallof Famer, right, I mean,
we're getting better play out of theoffensive line, and that has just had
such a positive effect on the quarterback. Dak Prescott's playing as well as he's

ever played in my opinion, Nate, and again is very firmly in the
middle of the MVP conversation. Youknow, Rad, the accolades will always
take care of themselves, especially.This is what I admire and love about
playing with the Cowboys. We don'thave to be as great as other teams.

We just have to continue to winand accolades because we are the Dallas
Cowboys. We are America's steam.I don't worry about accolades they come because
we are who we are. Allwe have to do is win. Winning
will do all of that. Youcan have mahomes and through for thirty five
