(00:54):
with me John Redigan and my manNate Newton. Wo At some point in
the very near few you is goingto lean close into the camera and he's
gonna say, you messed up byintro. You You opened it, disperfect
it, dear, when I wasgoing ra as you broke in, tell
was just giving you that launchpad. You're going to lean into that camera and

(01:17):
say what, let me tell yousomething, boy, I tell you rad
you special boy me. You gotto get back in the groove. Baby.
We missed last week. It throughus all. Wow, A lot
to talk about if we do,it's a lot to talk about because that
Thanksgiving Day game, Nate was inmany ways almost perfect. I saw many

(01:38):
quotes from Jerry mister Jones after thegame saying this was one of his happiest
days as the Cowboys owner. Betweenwinning big, you know, against a
rival, between the halftime show withDolly Parton, between setting an NFL record
for the season when Doron blame andreturn that pickstick. I mean, there

(02:01):
was just so much to like aboutthat game, Nate. You were there,
What do you take away? Justa lot of good things happened.
Man. I think it was athird win out of the sixth game run
that I think they have to haveto be successful this season. And I
was. I was proud of him, and you know, I'm glad Dolly

(02:22):
got to to do just do whatthe mss Dolly do. You know,
the young people don't know Miss Dollylike we do. You know what I'm
saying. So it was just amazingto the young guys being in the studio,
be watching the show and they justlooking at me waiting on my response.

(02:43):
I'm like, hey, man,to me, she's an icon to
y'all, she's just an elderly lady. And I just shook my head because
these young people, it's a greatdifference between she was one of the first
tailor Swift's is that got that right? And Miss Swift she was she was
twenty years ago. She was thatgirl. Now as far as country singing

(03:05):
and making movies and now you knowthe young people, you know, Miss
Jones, I understand about fifty percentof these people is up under thirty years
old. Yeah, yeah, wellthey got introduced in a big way and
it was acting probably closer to fortyyears ago she was Miss Swift. But
I will say this, I wasstunned to see her coming out there in

(03:29):
the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Deafit that onenine to five, I'm telling you now,
that one and nine, that's whatthe That's when the younger guys was
looking at me like what is shedoing? You know, she could be
my mom or my grandmama. AndI'm like, I love Dolly Parton,
I love the movies she made,I love the music she's made. And

(03:52):
just sometime like football rad when theytell us, you know, even the
great Troy when they had to hangit up oh boy, oh boy.
Sometimes we just hang it up.Man. Yeah, she did kind of
have to hang on to the star. And let's get off of his part.
Man. The last performance, Ithink in Texas Stadium, that was

(04:15):
fantastic. Okay, so uh yeah, let's talk about that game. Highlight
has to be dron Blant when yousaid an NFL season record for pick sixes
and there's six games left in theyear. Night, Yes, and the
Cowboys have to win. They've won. Uh, they've won against two three

(04:38):
teams that they should have crushed. They beat. This is the amazing thing.
Let me just get to it.The amazing thing was twenty five points
in the fourth quarter. Yeah. What that told me about the Cowboys is

(05:00):
the Cowboys had them twenty to tenand at no point none of us was
thinking, oh man, the redexcuse me, the Washington Commanders in this
game at no point. And thenall of a sudden, you know,
they kept throwing the ball, andI say, sooner or later, these
boys gonna start getting a lot ofheat on this kid. They're gonna stop
them, and he's gonna be tryingto throw an interception in the gang on

(05:21):
flip. And then when the gameflipped. Man. It's a twenty five
point explosion and just dran Bland has, whether people want to admit it or
not, he's not put himself inthe player of the year category. A
couple of more interceptions and he easedto be the defensive player of the year.

(05:43):
You know, sacks are nice, but they don't equal to pick sixes.
And you know, I tell peopleinterceptions may come off of pressures and
sacks, but I'm telling you thiskid here is covering maniac. He wasn't
having the greatest a day up untilthat point either, but they just kept
going at him. And this guyhas great anticipation and uh, you know,

(06:05):
now Sam Howell along with her,the enemy has that record forever,
you know, yeah, yeah,so so yeah, this is a guy
Nate who I mean, obviously wewere worried when Trayvon Diggs went down,
and we're like, well, well, durn blank going to go in and
do the best he can. Iguess, next man up. But I'm

(06:27):
telling you, I mean, notonly has he done you know, all
that and then some, but he'sclearly made himself. First of all,
he's made the Cowboys secondary that muchstronger in the future. Hasn't he.
I mean, he's earned himself aspot to be out there somewhere even when
Diggs is back. The thing aboutit, a year ago, two years
ago, I tried to tell everybodyin training camp. I said, y'all,

(06:49):
I'm not trying to be funny, but this durn blank kid should be
starting. And they said, overJay lou over Lewis. I say,
I said, I say, youknow what, I want Louis to play.
I said, but this kid,and they put him on the bench
for a minute, was giving himspot playing. What By the eighth ninth
game of the season, Lewis gothurt. He came in. I led

(07:12):
the teams in an interception. Thinkabout that. Now he led the team
in interception of four or five interceptions. They got him. Now we go
out and get gilmore, Jay Lewiscoming back. This kid is uh,
you know, they you know, giving Jay low some time and you know,
you know, not exclusively giving thiskid all the slot plays, you
know, and all of a suddenwe lose Diggs. Now they put him

(07:36):
out there and the next thing youknow, once again, this kid is
leading the league and interceptions, he'sleading the league and touchdowns for interceptions which
he leads to the guys the recordsolely to himself. He's sitting right now
in the Hall of Fame. Ifhe never put on a gold jacket,

(07:56):
he can tell his kids then togo show you something special, you know.
And so this kid, Uh,people you know, people you know
saying hey, we you know alot of people saying we ain't giving him
as It's just do you know,Uh, we don't have to the world
see it. I mean they seeit in Uh. This kid is a
good kid, a humble kid,who works hard, who listens to his

(08:20):
coaches. Dron blam man. It'sjust I just think, man, next
year, you know, he'll probablybe an outside guy. We have Lewis
inside, we get we get Digsback. But you know what, I'm
gonna say this now because it's onmy mind. I just hope Diggs come
back, and I hope he comeback maybe four or five or six or

(08:43):
seven games into the season. Idon't I don't want a guy. I
don't believe in just bringing the guyback and he medically cleared and just throw
him out there. I saw itwith Michael Gallup and it was it was
ugly for a whole year. Isaw with Ron with Steel it's been ugly

(09:07):
and we needed these stretcher games againstthese not so good teams so he could
work on his technique and get hisselfback. People say, well, what's
the difference, you know, ifyou're a rookie, or what's the difference
difference where you coming off of injury, a major injury like that, Mentally
you don't know where you're at.And I like to just ramp a guy
up then to just throw a guyout there, you know, give him

(09:30):
a chance to get it all togethermentally and physically. So I'm praying that
for Diggs. But this thing isabout blaying right now. He is the
man. Yeah. And so youmentioned Terrence Steele, and so we've talked
about the defense offense, Nate.As you well know, it's like a
symphony, right, everything has towork together, Yes, and the offensive

(09:52):
line is where it all starts. And it appears again against you know,
somewhat lesser competition. But this offenseof line seems to be having its best
stretch of the season, perhaps notcoincidentally, as Dak Prescott has his best
stretch of the season. The thingis this started with Dak please, people,

(10:15):
let me tell you something. Thisstarted with Dak moving around using his
legs, not so much for firstdowns but to avoid sacks. This last
Panthers, Washington. Who else wehad? Was it New England we started

(10:37):
with and the Panthers then Washington.I hope I got giants in that's what
New York Giants, Panthers Washington.I don't know. I got New York,
New York up here, but NewYork Pantherson and Washington. We were
fortunate enough that they got rid ofLeonard, you know, and they sent

(10:58):
him to sea, out of whichyou will see him soon. But my
issue has always been in this, and I've told people four years ago or
three years ago, when he hurthis ankle, I said, I know,
I understand it's gonna take a momentto get his mindset back from that
ankle. I said, But ifDak dropped straight back and think he's got

(11:20):
that type of arm skill or thattype of arm talent, I said,
it's not gonna work. Dak hasto move around rollouts, just him being
aware of what's in the pocket andmaking and making that subtle move to the
right or that subtle move to theleft. Running out to his left or
right six or seven yards just togive his receivers a second chance to reopen

(11:41):
themselves up. And he's finally starteddoing it about four or five games ago.
I think it started with the withthe Denver excuse um of my Denver
it started ooh, I can't rememberthe game, but anyway, it started
about four or five games, goto forty nine Ers game. He started
moving around and uh, and it'sbeen it's been just nice every since it's

(12:05):
been. And so this brings meback to what your original stuff is.
Offensive line now with you helping youroffensive line now with Tony Pollard man who
is really I mean, this dudeis picking up blocks. He knows the
scheme, he understands how to protect, how to help guys. He don't
run past the quick escape guys.Like if a guy get beat quick quick

(12:28):
instead of him getting out of thisroute, he'll he'll hit that guy.
He'll stop that guy and then goout into his route. So it uh,
sacks and pressures. That's a teamthing, that's a whole. That's
your quarterback, that's your that's yourold line, that's your running backs.
And on the hot routes, that'syour receivers working. So because the longer

(12:50):
you go without a sack, thelonger you go without a pressure in a
game, that's demoralizing to a defense. In that offensive line has been providing
that certainly. Now, I wonderfrom that game on Thursday, normally,
Nate, what you have when yourwhole career, what you had after that

(13:11):
was pretty much ten days off.Of course, the Cowboys play Thursday again
this week against the Seahawks. Iknow it's the same amount of time between
games. Does that does that affectthem? Does that bother them with?
Is that? Is that a tenday break you really look forward to after
you know, such a difficult turnaroundbetween Sunday to Thursday. Back in the

(13:31):
day, it was, I meanbecause you it was only you in Detroit
that was getting this luxury. Soit was the advantage. Now it's not
advantage. Some teams get two orthree of those, you know, depending
on who they are and how greatthey're playing. So they'll get this ten
day break after this game, anduh, and they should be all right.

(13:52):
Coach McCarthy started about a month agogiving gays times to rest their legs.
They started with Tyron Smith and tryingto give him one day a week
of practice and just letting him gothrough the walkthroughs, and so he's prepared
for this. And this is wherewe will see if it pay off against

(14:13):
the Seahawks. This is where allof this time off the mental work,
these guys have done a great job. I'm one of those guys that you
win, you win, you win, and you build confidence, and you
build confidence so you don't think anyonecan beat you. So when you come
up against a tough opponent or youhave some adversity in the game, you
can play rap through that adversity becauseyou you know, you know, and

(14:37):
you can just feel good about whoyou are and what you're doing. And
so by beating New York and thePanthers uh in Washington, you got a
chance to fix a lot of thesmall chinks in the armor. We still
got to try to get rid ofthose offside illegal formations and the holdings we
get rid of. We get ridof one or two of those things,

(15:00):
I mean, stuff like that happenedduring the game. But you don't need
two or three of them. Youdon't need them to multiply. Because the
better teams, starting with Seahawks theygonna, they gonna they can capitalize Washington.
They couldn't capitalize the Panthers. Yousee, they're in the fire.
They whole coaching staff. Yeah, yeah, you know, and I knew
this was coming because somebody got inthe owner's ear. They say, hey,

(15:22):
man, this is how you're gonnatreat your first round pick. You
just gonna let him drop back fiftytimes a game and get him beat to
death. You'll be in line foranother quarterback in two years because the kid
is gonna got beat to death. And the same with Sam Howell. I
love every b enemy to death, but this is no way in the world.
I'm only down by ten and I'mgonna let the Cowboys rush my guy.

(15:46):
I'm not gonna do that. Butanyway, that's not my team.
Those are not my teams. Andyou know, just you know, get
in that. You know the tailorquarterback Big Nowton say hey, let me
tell you something, brug get inthat whirlpool, get it that ice chamber,
bro, That's all I can tell. Yeah, yeah, I remember
that. You know the Houston Texansway back in the day they did that

(16:06):
to David Carr. Same thing.Yeah, report young man could have had
a great career, got beat upso bad as first too, he couldn't
probably never lived up to what hecould have been. Now, you talked
about owners, So let's go tothe Cowboys owner who made a big announcement
that we have not had a chanceto talk about yet. Your coach,
Jimmy Johnson finally is going into theRing of honored. You know, my

(16:30):
brother, I am so excited aboutthat. I am over the top when
two big alpha males can come togetherand make things something like that happen.
Man. I mean, if aJimmy is, you know, back in
the day, you know what youprobably if I get in I get no,

(16:52):
no, no, some things ain'tabout that old nonchalant, cocky attitude.
It's like you deserve to be inthere. I'm glad you're in there.
I'm glad mister Jones put him inthere. Two great men. We
had great impacts on my life andstill have an impact on my life.
I like to know that they havehearts just like we do, that they're

(17:15):
human just like we do it,that they can work through situations, man,
just like just like me and Radwe get into it with the wife.
You know something we men me andyou calm down and we go at
it from a different angle and wecalm down. And that's what these two
men did. They just they calmedthemselves. They met and they say,
okay, we can make it happen. And they made it happen. And

(17:38):
I'm excited. I'm gonna beat there, bro, you know, yeah,
yeah, I'll be there for thatone till let me ask you this,
Nate, because you are out thereso much and you talk about this team,
and everybody loves to get your opinionabout this team. I'm sure you
were asked this, you know, over the past ten years or more.
You know, hey, do youthink Jimmy's ever going to get in?

(18:00):
What? What was your answer priorto this? Did you really think this
day would come? Now? Itold him, I say, that's up
to mister Jones. That's that's that'shis call. I say, I wish
for the player's sake that they wouldtalk, and I wish that they would
come together. Y'all. You youwere the owner, so you had many

(18:25):
great players up under your uh you'reworking for you. You were the head
coach, you won many Super Bowlsup under this owner. And I'm like,
wow, you mean to tell metwo men who can handle the type
of characters that we had on oursquads and still to this day can't get
bast their own little problems. Andthat used to be my thing. I

(18:47):
would tell it everybody that I knewthat was sincere, you know about when
they asked me that question, like, I know you were sincere, you
know, and you're not just tryingto fish for some old high side and
story to make yourself look good. And that's what I would tell people.
I thought that was really concerned aboutwhether Coach Johnson was get in. I
was like saying to myself, Man, I hope Coach Johnson ain't, you

(19:07):
know, no longer with us.I ain't no longer with us when his
day come, you know, becausethat's one of my biggest things about the
Hall of Fame, you know, you you know, guy been out there
for forty five years and you justletting them in and now he can't even
talk or he can't and he's notalive. And you know you should get
points taken away from you for that. But I'm glad so now think back

(19:32):
on you know, and Jimmy Johnsonis a very complex character. You know,
he's one of those onions right rightwhere you could just peel layers and
layers and layers off of that.Man. What what do you think if
you could say this, Nate, what was his best characteristic as a coach
for me? He knew his players. He knew his players, he knew

(19:56):
who to push, who not topush. Uh if he if he held
a grudge, you could not tellthat. That's what That's what amazed me
by him and coach him and misterJones, I'm like, Jimmy always did
it for the sake of winning. You always knew he'll come at your heart,
he'll say things, but it wasalways in the sac of winning.

(20:18):
It was never personal, you know, because Jimmy didn't like you, he
would really just get rid of you. You know, if he personally didn't
like you, he would just getrid of you. And so uh,
if he thought you could help thisteam win, or you can contribute to
this team, he tried to findout what what your likes was, what

(20:38):
your dislikes was, and he andhe and uh, he had you know,
he knew his players, man,And that's what I liked about it
that, you know, that's whatI admired about coach Jay, which means
he treated everybody a little bit differentlyon where you was on the scale,

(20:59):
because the scale was up, thescale was up in there, the scale
down here. I was somewhere inthere. Okay, So how did he
treat you? What was his methodof getting through to Nate? What do
you think that was? He letme be me. Once I understood that
it was about winning first, itwas about winning second, it was about

(21:21):
winning third. Once and knowing whento work. I had to realize because
I could take any situation, nomatter how hard it is, you know,
and I could crack a joke orI could laugh, you know,
And I had to realize sometimes itwasn't about cracking a joke or making somebody
laugh. It's about going to workand concentrating on the task at hand.

(21:48):
And once I learned that right there, I kind of can look at Jimmy
and reading and I said, oh, I can have me some fun to
day. Coach Johnson, all right, Uh not today, you know,
it's time to go to work. And three Super Bowls later, six Pro
Bowls to All pros, still workingfor the Cowboys. I still carry that

(22:10):
in my heart. Now, nowin, to work and no when to
play and know when you can mixtwo of them together, you know,
And that's what Jimmy. Let mebe that guy. He let me be
Nate, I promise you. Iremember you walking up and down the aisle

(22:30):
of the plane, the team charter. Yes, after wins, not after
losses. I didn't nobody was talkingmuch after losses. After wins, and
you would just mess with everybody. You know, here comes Brad Sham.
You got a little comment for him, here's me. You got to comment
for me, you know, everybodyalong the plane. And then you'd get
to your players and that was behindus. So I didn't hear all that,

(22:52):
but I knew you had one forall of them. I think people
today because they see you on TV, so off and and so forth,
there's no time to really show thereal Nate. But man, you were
as fun loving and as Joe viallike the class clown as anybody on that
team. And and uh, Iknow that's still part of your personality,

(23:15):
Nate, but uh uh, thatwas that was something that I would think.
Uh the other players embraced as well. Yes, yeah, you know
it was tuen A myself, KevinGogan, Uh, you know, to
a was quiet about his joke andstuff, and uh, Kevin was a
little more a little more like me, you know, bosses, but not

(23:38):
as loud, you know. Uhit's just uh, I'm telling you,
it's just for Jimmy. And that'swhen I learned he Jimmy was ex and
old guy, especially defensively. Hewas x and old guy, especially defensively.
But uh, what makes great coachesand I'm telling he was made great

(24:03):
coach. Like the coaching with thePittsburgh the coach that is coaching the Pittsburgh
still is how in the world arethey six and whatever, seven and whatever?
Because they playing for that coach. They're playing for themselves, but they're
playing for that coach. And Jimmyhad a knack just like Phil Simms had
a knack, you know, justlike the coach down in with the Miami

(24:25):
Heat. Everybody know how his knackto be able to touch players, to
talk to players, to love onplayers, but automatically still have their respect
when it's time to go to work. And Jimmy just had that specialty about
him. Man. He you know, he was the man that Mike Tomlin,

(24:47):
who your reference there, the athleticjust did uh, what's anonymous survey
of NFL players today, and theysaid if you couldn't play, if you
weren't playing for, the coach youplayed for, would be your first choice,
And like a huge percentage, thirtyor forty percent of him, said
Mike Tomlin. He was by farthe winner of that. What is it

(25:08):
from Afar that makes people think he'sso good? Nate? It just when
you when players believe you care, you actually care, and you're straight up
with him, whether they fin toget released or whether they finish make the
team, or whether they going throughsome problems emotionally, spiritually or physically.

(25:29):
He is that guy. You cango to him say, coach, just
my situation, how can we getit resolved? And he'll try to find
a way. Or you know,if you only feel not doing your job,
he gonna hold you accountable to whatyou need to do, you know.
But by the same token, hewill be the first guy to patch
you on the butt when you dodo that job that they asks you to
do, you know, and bethe first one to just you know,

(25:53):
get at you, you know,or talk to you or scold you,
whatever the words you want to use. But that falls upon the umbrella discipline.
The thing is when players see youand hear you, and you don't
waiver every day. You know, you don't have to be the meanest guy
in the world every day. Youdon't have to be the laughing this guy

(26:14):
every day, but you have tohave the happy medium where fellas, it's
time to go to work, it'stime to have fun, it's time to
whatever. And that's you know,it's kind of hard to explain because it's
just it's a unique deal and everycoach does not have it. They try,
but they be phony and you cansee it, you know, and

(26:37):
you be like, man, let'sdo that, you know, let's do
that. And his assistance are guysthat gets this message across. That's that's
another thing. Jimmy have loyal assistance. Bill Sims had loyal assistance. Still
as coach, Mike Toumblan have loyalassistance. You know, everybody's on the

(26:59):
same page age when they leave upout of that meeting room with the coaches
meaning room everybody you may not think, you may not like, but we're
gonna speak the same the same talkand the same words when you leave this
meeting. That's what it's all.Such a, you're such a football guy.
You don't mean Phil Simms. Youmean Phil Jackson. Yeah, Phil

(27:21):
Jackson. Excuse me, Lord, you let me go eight times on Phil
Simms out. Hey, no,no, you only said it twice.
The first time you said it.My brain's going Phil Simms. Yeah,
he would discipline to a great athlete. When you said it, When you
said it the second time, I'mlike, he means Phil Jackson. Jackson
man the great goals. Phil Jacksonwas a master of dealing with talent and

(27:45):
dealing with different attitudes. Thank you, thank you. I guess it's that
ugly blue uniform you got on thatthose giants color. Yeah, I ain't
got that wrong. That's why Itripped you up. This is Lions man
Honolulu blue and silver right here.Baby. Oh, now you're jumping back
across the stream. Wow, wayto go? Yeah, I'll go both
ways. I'll tell you this. And that's the game. That Lions game

(28:07):
is the one where Jimmy gets inducted. Uh. And you know that's uh,
that's gonna be a that's gonna bea battle. Here's the thing,
Nate, we got to talk aboutthis real quick because people as soon as
the Cowboys, you know, gotto this stretch. Uh you know at
the they were right at the beginningof this stretch, and everybody said,
well, Cowboys, schedule gets easy, and look how tough Philadelphia is is

(28:30):
and we're gonna count on Philadelphia losingtwo or three of those Guess what,
Nate, and you said it atthe time, you said, don't count
on that, and they haven't lost. Nate, to this day, I
still listen to all of our shows. Now. It went from Philadelphia could
be two and two, you know, because their stretch was, uh,

(28:52):
bye week, Casey, Buffalo,San Francisco. Now and they have beaten
Casey. They have beaten Buffalo,Now they got San Francisco. And what
if they beat San Francisco? Right, that means the Cowboys cannot lose.
And that's why I've told everybody Cowboyshave to win six games. And this

(29:18):
is gonna be their toughest game righthere, This Seeattle Seahawks game is gonna
be a monster, a beast ofa game. And people say, why
do you think that, Because it'san NFC game. Number One, I
respect the coach Pete Carroll with theutmost respect. Their quarterback is trying to
be the best he can. Theygot too helacious receivers man that Locket and

(29:42):
DK Metcalf. They got a runningback this Walker kid, a decent offensive
line, they got a nice defense, Adams, Bobby Wagner. They went
out and got Leonard Williams. Sothey they are six and five. The

(30:03):
Cowboys are physical and smart, they'llbe six and six. But if the
Cowboys can't be physical and smart, you have athletes that match their athletes.
They have athletes that match your athletes. We're going to be tested in our
secondary like you wouldn't believe. Ourdefensive line gonna be tested in the run

(30:26):
game like you wouldn't believe, youknow, And defensively, I mean they
got some balls. Man. Theywent out in the draft of the kid
I can't even think of his name. They went out in the draft of
a nice kid. Man, I'mgonna look him up right quick, like
rad bar with me, bear withme. Yeah, yeah, so they
yeah, they You talk about thatphysicality that the Cowboys need to bring,

(30:48):
and I want to get back tophysicality. Who you got Devon Witherspoon he
hit ball or now. Yeah, they got to six and five because they
faced the forty nine Ers last week, who, as we know, are
as physical as any team in theNFL. And look, the forty nine
ers kind of treated them as theytreated the Cowboys, right. They beat

(31:11):
up on the Seahawks pretty good lastThursday night. So you know, can
the Cowboys? Will the Cowboys borrowa page from the forty nine ers and
bring that kind of effort, thatkind of physicality to this game. Yeah?
The thing I tell people, man, it's alrighty to be athletically fast
and quick and and scheming. Well, what happens when somebody's grabbed you around

(31:37):
your collar, squeezes it up,squeeze up to your throat. What you're
gonna do? Then? You know? Ain't no? You know you can
go ah, he shot, butthey still got you. You got to
get up under his throat. AndScot's choking him off. And what I'm
it's ugly analogy, but you gotto let him know that you read it.
You willing to be choked off?You know, Let's see who lasts

(31:59):
long. So I'm trying to chokeyou off too. I ain't trying to
go around the back door. Iain't trying to chop your hands down I'm
We're gonna see who can hold theirbreath alongest and who can last longer.
And that's that's that's simply that youknow I'm gonna punch you in your face,
you punch me in mind. Andat the end of the day,
because they have equal athletes to us, These these these Seahawks have equal are

(32:22):
better athletes than us. They what'sgonna come down to is what coach make
what move and who what players decideto execute it in the most physical and
the most violent way. And thisis what this stretch for the Cowboys is
gonna be all about. This iswhat this stretch the Seahawks, Philadelphia,
Buffalo, Miami, Detroit and thenback again to Washington. Are you gonna

(32:45):
be physical the next four or fivegames and come out of this thing unscathed?
Now I'm talking about unscathed for usrecord wise. You may get beat
up, you may have a coupleof injuries, but you need to win
these games. Don't worry about Philadelphia. I've always I tried to tell the
people this for four weeks. Don'tworry about Philadelphia. Worry about the Dallas

(33:07):
Cowboys. Can they get a physicalbrand of football? Gone? So last
thing we hear that Mark Cuban hassold or you know, has executed an
agreement to sell. It's got tobe approved by the NBA owners. Executed
agreement. Three point five billion dollarshe will get from a woman who's the

(33:30):
heir of a casino, the Sanscasino in Vegas and all over the world,
but you know, starts in Vegasanyway, three point five billion,
So he sells, you know, essentially three quarters of it or more to
another family. He'll maintain control andoperate the organization, the Mavericks as he's
done. And I guess the questionwould be because we always thought once Cuban

(33:52):
bought the team in the year twothousand, after becoming an instant overnight billionaire,
we thought he ran this thing likeJerry Jones runs the Cowboys. Right,
do you ever see Jerry doing likeMark Cuban. And it won't be
for three point five B. It'llbe five B for a lot more than

(34:13):
it'll be a lot more than that, you know. You know what,
at the end of the day,it's about the money. At the end
of the day, it's about thefinances. Uh. He saw a way

(34:38):
that he can make a lot ofmoney and still keep control of his team.
How long he will keep control ofthat team, we will see.
Yeah, because if you give upmore than half, if you give up
fifty, it's always a chance asfor somebody to override you. Yeah.

(35:01):
Even mister Jones told his kids,I love y'all to death, but me
and Jean got fifty. Y'all gotforty nine. We got that at one
point, and he got to rideup a hell of a contract, a
hell of a contract, and forthe NBA to be get ready to uh,

(35:23):
oh, you know what the catcheris. You know what the catch
is. Tell me, tell y'allsomething in the NFL. In the NFL,
you can't be a owner of agablin gambling establishment or be connected and
run that team. You have tosell your interest. Ute you can keep

(35:44):
what you got. And yeah,Cuban pretty smart because the NBA thinking like
that, like this lady can neverrun. She's a she's a gambling entity.
So she's got done. Actually, not the same rule in the NBA,
because the Houston Rockets are owned byTillman for Tita, and he owns,
he owns a couple has full worshipof a couple of casinos. Okay,

(36:07):
well okay, yeah, well sothat's a little different that way,
But but you're right. I meanthat's that was a consideration for sure.
That's my original thought, you know, because power wants power, and I
don't care what no one says.Yeah, you know. Uh, And
and I've always believed that it hasnever failed me. When I see a

(36:30):
guy a young lady that's in powerand that power is threatened, uh,
they do not lay down for it. So if coach I think calling Coach
Cuban, if Mark Cuban, misterCuban, I had to call people that
power mister mister Cuban can be owningit, can be running this thing four
years from now. And men, you're still doing let me tell you something.

(36:52):
I'm like, oh man, that'spretty sleep But I just figured about
four years he'll be out of thisthing. Uh, they'll be chugging at
tugging at them a pretty hard youknow, because everybody ain gonna like every
movie that you make. No,you know, she's gonna have some grandchild
who gets of age and goes, who's this old dude trying to look young
running our team? Yeah? Yeah, give him another bill and get him

(37:15):
out of there. Yeah, yeah, exactly, so fantastic is always night.
We always enjoyed doing this, andof course my favorite part of the
show is every week when you lookat the camera and you say the title
of the show. Yes, sir, let me tell you something. Thank
you Niagara for letting us flush anotherone. We appreciate it. Appreciate you, bro,
