It is Levac and Guz. And who didnt I tell
the Mets they weren't supposed to be playing still then
they were supposed to. You're not supposed to be winning anymore.
You're done. You guys are good enough for this. Somebody
was Somebody was supposed to let them know, right who's
supposed to make their call? I don't with Steve Cohen,
I don't know who's supposed to be like, h lock
it up? Going on.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
Pretty enopsee's to talk about you guys? Just you the
drama team of the off season. Who you trade and
who you signing?

Speaker 7 (00:56):
What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (00:58):
You stay a live and you continue this magical I
don't think is over overemphasizing magic there.

Speaker 7 (01:05):
It's got it's got hints of magic. It's reality defying.
It's definitely almost I think I think you're getting close
to magic. I don't think anybody wants to say magic
just yet, because you know you're running some playoffs games.
That's okay, go, that's good, all right, you want to
play in you want to play off. But I know

(01:27):
all Mets fans were just like, well, Milwaukee's just been
slapping us around this year. This is this is terrible.
And then the same Mets fan last night went from
like this little like I just hope that we put
up a good performance and everybody's take that. Milwaukee, you
got Mets, how you like us? Now? I think it
was did you meet Waker in the parking lot yo.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
To know he's come back for a second round there?
I think it was you. I believe it is you.
You and I have talked a lot for a long
time that you knowed that a lot of teams who
have success over one sixty two, you have a great season,
you get to the postseason, you're one of the few
teams that gets compete for a World Series. I believe
it was you Vak who had said I believe it

(02:13):
was you who had said, it feels like you didn't
even make the postseason. You're out that fast. Now, Usually
that was in reference to the Twins, because the Yankees
beat up on the Twins so badly. And I know
you said it last year because my Oriels are out
so quickly after winning one hundred games. That you had
pointed out that Baseball, of any other sport, whether that's
because we'd see seven games series deeper into the postseason
for other sports, even football, because football, you if you're

(02:36):
the best team, there used to be two teams who
would get a bye, so you felt like you gone there.
The wildcard teams later in the two thousands had more success,
but you knew it was a grind every week. While
baseball you played one sixty two, nearly ten times as
many games as football teams and you were out by
a Thursday. It feels like to me, that's the theme
of today's show. Super Speed, rocket ship, light speed, whatever

(03:01):
term you want to use of This went from the
New York Mets almost missing the postseason, to the New
York Mets having a his storic game in the history
of the franchise, to the New York Mets now two
wins away from going to the NLDS, which feels like
it happen in a blink of an eye because it's
happened basically in less than ten days. All of that,

(03:21):
all that's happening in less than ten days.

Speaker 7 (03:23):
I mean, it's it's list the postseason. It's crazy. This
is the most crazy time of the year for sports,
right because you got the Major League Baseball postseasons ramping up,
the NFL season has taken off, the WNBA playoffs are
going on. I mean, come on, preseason hockey's underway, college football.

(03:45):
Did you watch more of postseason WNBA, preseason NHL?

Speaker 3 (03:53):
I think postseason WNBA.

Speaker 7 (03:54):
I don't think.

Speaker 3 (03:55):
I wouldn't say that three years ago twenty twenty four.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
Answers changed. Yeah, right season NHL it would would pop
up above. I don't know, I don't know. I like
you this. This Liberty team is fun to watch versus Vegas.
It's a good time. I can't believe again, Yeah, you're right, Like,
can you imagine if you just took that and played
that in front of us five years ago? It's like,
you're gonna this is what you're gonna say about the
w NBA playoffs While you're talking about the Mets.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
What Becky Hammonds? So well, yeah, I had two w
NBA takes. Anything I was gonna get to. But here
Becky Hammond's screaming at Kelsey Plumb on the bench. That
went viral. Asia Wilson, the MVP, had one of the
dumbest quotes I've ever heard you talking about the privilege
of people. She's like, you people don't understand, and the
Internet's like, you went to a prep school that cost

(04:40):
twenty thousand dollars a year to go to. Your dad
was a former basketball player.

Speaker 7 (04:45):
What are you talking? So?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Yeah, good for your w NBA finding a little piece
of the pie here in October?

Speaker 7 (04:53):
Am I the only one who every time Kelsey Plumb
is on TV, like looks for crazy since the Darren
Waller break up, Like like I don't want to believe
Darren Waller's like off the wagon, which is probably the
most realistic, but I mean, like because they got married,
if it was so she quiet and everything, all of
sudden they broke up and the weird So every time
I see tells me about like she's beautiful, she's very

(05:14):
gifted athlete, she looks like she's she looks like she's
crazy fun. I don't know how crazy crazy look crazy fun.
Every time I see her, though, I can think of
it as like, why is Darren? Like what what yo?
D wall what up? What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (05:28):
She's got some crazy in her Yeah, but that's by
the way, it's called a double X chromosome. That's it's
gonna be. Well, that doesn't happened. Think about that. That's
so crazy we see with her with a camera in
her face. Some people turn it down with a camera
in front of him. So if that's like her normal,
what is her crazy? Wow, I'm saying, unless that's her crazy,

(05:51):
maybe she's the opposite. Maybe she's far crazier when she
sees a camera. Maybe she's not even crazy. Maybe she's
just a little different everything. I'm crazy crazy.

Speaker 7 (05:59):
Well, you think about the the adrenaline and everything that
comes from being a pro athlete, and that's why I
like that. There's you're gonna pop off, You're gonna at
least say crazy stuff. Dude. I don't know, man, I
just do I watch it's so weird and no intention
to talking about this, but I've I pay a lot
of more attention to Las Vegas aces w NBA. Oops

(06:20):
than I ever thought I would. We even thought I would.

Speaker 3 (06:23):
We are on the crazy train. In October of twenty
twenty four, the New York Mets again are two wins
away from the nlds, the Detroit Tigers who too much.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
Oh one went away? What went It's a three game series,
is it? Yeah? Yeah? The Met's one.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
Thank you. I keep going to the old school wild card.

Speaker 7 (06:41):
Thank yeah. Like I had to look a couple of
times when you said it to you, I'm like, thank god,
I looked earlier.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I thought someone miss uh miss spoke earlier. Today I'm like,
wait a second, No, No, it's we have that. We have
The Tigers, who had no business being in the postseason,
are on the same spot as the Mets, where they
can advance into the next round. We just mentioned the
w NBA. We've got crazy football storylines. We live in

(07:07):
a world where Sam Dartle might be the MVP of
the NFL.

Speaker 7 (07:12):
Oh all right, So I mean, is it too much
to ask for them to lock it up tonight? The Mets? Like,
I don't want to be that guy. I'm not a
Mets fan. I'm like, I'm like the guy who shows
up after all the works done him, like like, like
you move, talk about your moving. I show up at
the end of the move. Everybody's sweaty. I just show
up at the I carry one one lamp in carry

(07:34):
one lamp inside the house, like I thought we were
ordering pizza. Like that's that's me as a Mets fan
right now. Like, can you guys just take some of
the stress away? Please? Can you win tonight seven point
thirty when I on the mount, could you could you
just go ahead and handle this thing please? I don't
want to be stressed out. I don't want to. It's
not good for me. Stress stress makes it hard to
lose weight. We all know how how diligent I am

(07:56):
about that. Like it was I will say, Mets fan,
you did see something though. You were a Yankee fan
for a first inning, weren't you. You watched severalno go
going to his first inning swoon. You saw that, You
saw it. You were like, oh my god, this is
what Yankee fan warned me about Severino's coming. I'm gonna explode.
It's home run derby. And then he calmed down and

(08:16):
with six innings, like the who's that guy? How dare you?
What do you what was your favorite My favorite part
last night still is the is the the Winker just
Jesse Winkers just he's an animal, He's Jesse Winker is
clearly that dude, that one that like when he's on

(08:38):
your team, he's your dog. When he's on another team,
you hate that dude. Like if he was not, like
he's the member of your friend group. Then when you
walk into a bar, you go, hey, sorry, but he's like,
he's our guy. What do you want me to do?
But if you walked in, if he walked into a
bar and you were there, you'd be like, all right,
we're fighting tonight.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
The fun part about him is when they made that move.
I remember we did that storyline. I remember within like
a day of the trade happening, Like that's what everyone
talked about with him and what we see a lot
of times with the athletes this is college or pro.
Sometimes some guys tone it down like ooh, you know
I was known for that for that city. But I'm
gonna be a little bit different because it's a new organization,
new team, new locker room. I can't have that same attitude.

(09:19):
And other guys are like him and they say no, no, no,
it's not attitude, it's me. This is just who I am.
This is how I played, this is how I compete.

Speaker 7 (09:26):
Loved it.

Speaker 3 (09:27):
We knew that was a possibility when the move was
made for met fans, and he has lived up to that.

Speaker 7 (09:34):
I'm here for it. I'm here for it. It was exciting,
it was fun. And then to have John Boyd like
break it down, that was great, Like that's is what
if we found out at some point, like somebody who
actually is really good at reading lips comes back to
us and just goes all the John boy clicks are crap,
like every one of them. He is no, he's not
even close, like like like he's he's talking about his

(09:57):
new truck. At this point he has a pet duck.
You guys are saying the wrong word all the time.

Speaker 3 (10:02):
I'm not insulting this guy by using this name because
he used his name on the air. But there was
a former radio guy am Drive actually under the iHeartMedia
umbrella hot one of seven nine in Syracuse. So you
went by the name deaf Jeff, and Deaf Jeff did
this first, Like Deaf Jeff did this with coach Beheim
all the time. All the coaches in college basketball, and

(10:22):
he got.

Speaker 7 (10:22):
Like a really like so he read lips to communication.

Speaker 3 (10:27):
So he got like a little bit of a following
doing this, and then John Boy came in. I imagine
poor deaf. Jeff's like, no, that was my thing, deaf.

Speaker 7 (10:38):
Do you have anybody to get a hold of him.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I'm actually I've done a wedding with him and I'm
doing another with him. Yes, yes, we can't.

Speaker 7 (10:45):
I get ahead of him. I would love to have
him come on the show and fact check some of
the John boy videos. How coold have you as much?
I love John BOYD. Don't get her own. It's not
it's not being a hater, though it is. It's hated Jason.
It's just funny to me, haven't I'm going to be like, no, dude,
he's all wrong and none of these things are right.
All these things are wrong. I see you.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
I don't think I've ever done.

Speaker 7 (11:07):
I love you. It's his elephant shoes, that's the thing.
They look similar.

Speaker 3 (11:10):
I don't want to say big timed him or big
league to him, but I definitely did one of those
moments this happened. I know this clip went viral. Miles
garratted this that Kyler Murray. Sometimes you don't notice or
see somebody that you might know, or just you would
interact with somebody here you know them.

Speaker 7 (11:24):
And you would have known them.

Speaker 3 (11:25):
I was officiating a wedding and the guy was telling
me how to use the mic, and I'm like, I
got this guy.

Speaker 7 (11:31):
All right, I got this. I got this. I don't
know if you know how. I I'm God. I just
I'm God's gift to radio. I don't know if you
know that.

Speaker 3 (11:39):
He's like, you know you hold it like this. I'm like,
all right, all right, I got you, man, I got
you back in the corner. And then I remembered, I'm like, man,
this guy like again, I mean stereotype here, like he
sounded deaf, and I'm like the radio guy over the
guy who may not speak for a living, like I
got this, like I got And then someone called him Jeff,
and I'm like, oh my god, Jeff, I'm so sorry, man,

(12:00):
I didn't I didn't realize you're actually a radio guy.

Speaker 7 (12:02):
He said, forty five your green angle on the microphone.
I'm sorry. I realized sorry about that. Oh dear, that
was my bad.

Speaker 3 (12:11):
I thought I had that one like the guy who
speaks for a living compared to the guy who can't
hear very well.

Speaker 7 (12:16):
Oh it Steph, Jeff my bad man. Sorry, didn't know
own that one.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
That's egg on the face.

Speaker 7 (12:25):
There is something weird about like radio DJ personality and
like other entertainers like like club DJ, uh you know whatever,
Like radio DJ will always act like they're more important
than club DJ, like we will always we have no
I have no idea. It was it was like it

(12:45):
was beat into me when I first started, like like
that's that's the guys a club DJ. You're he's basically
a step above mine. He's been no circus clown Like
it's like it's like, dude, I don't think they move
a crowd, Like what are you gonna do?

Speaker 3 (12:58):
I remember the VI I was twenty four years old.
I was a New York State Broadcasters Awards ceremony. This
is twenty fourteen. I was a two account executives who
had just started, and one lady went up to me
and she's like, hey, this is God's one of our
radio DJs and did the nice contra and I sat
her down. She must have been twenty five years older
than me, and I sat her down and said hey,

(13:18):
I'm not a DJ, by the way, I'm a broadcaster.
I was so offended, Like I was genuinely offended because
I'm a sports broadcaster, like I'm not playing a rock
I felt that to my core, Like wow, she had
I think I was more offended. She didn't know what
I did, but she called me a disc jockey, and
I felt so offended by it.

Speaker 7 (13:38):
And I'm like, Joe.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Gallagher says radio announcer. But you're right, like there's this
this ego. But by the way, you listening right now,
who thinks like Levac and I because we're radio DJs
announcers are I guarantee you. If you know somebody who
runs a daycare or a teacher, they act like they
know more about kids than somebody else. If you know
somebody who is in the business world, they know more

(13:59):
about the economy than you. Everybody has a specialty of
something special that they do. If you're somebody who runs
a gym, you know more about how everybody can do
it because it's something they do every single day. Before
you all hop on your high horses, you know you
do it. I didn't realize it was Stef Chef. Okay,

(14:20):
I will so that's Mets and Brewers. Yeah, that's what
I got for you.

Speaker 7 (14:25):
The only time I don't The only time I take
umbers with the DJ part is when like people who
have been in my life for as long as I've
been on the radio or at least close to it,
will call me up and be like how much for
the to DJ this party? And I'm like, I don't
do that. Well, yeah, you're a DJ, but I don't
do that. That's it.

Speaker 3 (14:45):
That's that's exactly it like that.

Speaker 7 (14:47):
It's not like I mean, I have speakers, I can
come turn on like I can turn on your Apple,
your iTunes for you if you want, but I don't.
I don't like so you work weddings. I've officiated a few.
I don't have the to do my Richie, Richie Phillips,
who actually just texted me he can do both. He
can do both. So I was, I said, he hit

(15:08):
me up because the first place I ever met him,
I did the weather on that station. They just Grandma's
pie just took they took a reckon ball to it.
Today we should go get a brick. We should have
a brick and put it in here.

Speaker 3 (15:21):
Ah man, I would actually do that that's that bumps
me out, man, you Neard the Hall of Famer Richie Phillips,
Hall of.

Speaker 7 (15:27):
Famer Richie Phillips, the man. All right, listen, I don't
know if you can tell this. I'm shot out of a
cannon today.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
I'm ready. We just had seven conversations with the first break.
We only have two hours today. If you haven't picked
up on that, you gave.

Speaker 7 (15:39):
Away one of our hours. Fran Brown.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
Contractual obligations. The Fran Brown Coaches Show aired five to
six today.

Speaker 7 (15:50):
You could have at least brought me an Orange C
four to make up for giving an hour of the
show to the orange. You could have went You could
have went over to Steewarchard Speedway. You could have grabbed
me an Orange four, brought it in here, said sorry,
we give way an hour of the show without consulting.
You go out here, you go.

Speaker 3 (16:04):
I did not do that, and I'm kicking myself because
I should have. I needed the extra energy today. This
is one of these days where the nobody was sleeping.
Last night in my house, nobody was following the rules.
The coffee tasted terrible. I needed a Sea four desperately,
and you had one in studio yesterday, I felt like
I wanted to jump into the studios. I need that
Sea four. If you have that burst of energy that
you need during the day, if your schedule's all over

(16:25):
the place, like Lavac said, Stewart's or Speedway, stop and
grab yourself a Sea four. The Ultimate Energy is gonna
give you the boost that you need. And they taste great.
That is the biggest comp But I continue to give
Sea four. You find a flavor you love, You're gonna
find four or five more flavors you absolutely love. And
our Ultimate Energy Challenge continues to roll on. Make sure
to listen as we return to Rivers Casino Resort this
Sunday with our friends Quinning Cant who'll give their picks,

(16:47):
We'll give ours, and we'll actually to be on with
those guys tomorrow morning.

Speaker 7 (16:50):
That's true, you won't be because you'll be sleeping or
whatever it is you do while I'm in there with
a C four rocket and Roland get yourself one over
Stewart Speedway. Yeah, that's what's up right there, coming up next.
It's I actually saw a reporter say that there is

Speaker 7 (23:25):
I love all the people hit me up trying to
get me excited and fired up and angry about Davante
Adams wanting out of Las Vegas and good luck. I
don't it doesn't like. Here's the deal as is his
early thirties. He's gonna make thirty six million a year
in the next two years. He'd like to win a

(23:47):
super Bowl right now. The Raiders, I think are closer
than people think, but the piece they're missing would be quarterback,
which it's very difficult to win a super Bowl out
a quarterback. So I think it makes a ton of
sense for him to want to be somewhere else.

Speaker 3 (24:05):
You teased and that an outlet has this story.

Speaker 7 (24:08):
Oh it changed, it changed while we were in commercial.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Okay, I didn't look. I didn't look, I didn't peak.
Maybe sometimes this does benefit me on the show mine
only occasionally scrolling through the rundown or for the show
I want to guess I have an idea of who
this site in this reporter.

Speaker 7 (24:27):
Is, Okay, and then I'll tell you how it all
went down. Here, it happened recently, I saw it.

Speaker 3 (24:31):
Here's my rational thinking. Here, here's my reasoning for saying
this outlet in this report and jetfan is smiling or
wants to yell and scream at me before what I'm
about to say. There has been one outlet and two
reporters in particular, one maybe more so than the other,
that over the course of the last eighteen to twenty
four months that Jet.

Speaker 7 (24:50):
Fans hate, they can't stand them.

Speaker 3 (24:53):
They feel like it is the Jet hate category that
they're just going for engagement, and that's the Athletic. Because
the Athletic had the story about Rogers and Sala and
the Rogers hit pieces they called it, and the trains
and wadded out in the Zach Wilson bench. He needn't
want to go on the field. It feels like Jet
fans can't stand the Athletic. And the one reporter who

(25:14):
was sitting out more than any of the other ones
has been Diana Rossini. So if I had to guess
who the report would come from about Devonte Adams. I
would guess it would be Diana Rossini and the Athletic.

Speaker 7 (25:26):
All right. So Dina Rassini has has reported that the
top of Devonte adams wish list are two teams he
would like to go back to play for his pro
quarterback with the Jets and Aaron Rodgers or the Saints
and Derek Carr his college and like three minute quarterback
with the Raiders. That's been hurt. So there's another dude

(25:49):
who was out here saying he reported on the Raiders
for the Athletic and caught some like caught some ways
with it and then has recently gone back and changed
it to freelance reporter. I imagining that he like maybe
had an article or two picked up by the Athletic
over time. And then he went out about five hours
ago and said the trade is done, that the Raiders

(26:10):
and the Jets have agreed in principle barring physicals and
some minor details for sonradics and picks. Davanta Addams, WHOA
and then and then he came back and said, oh,
even though the teams who agreed to the trade with
the Jets, the trade is not setting stone due to
financial moves that need to be made. So Saint Steeler's
forty nine others not too far behind. So basically he

(26:32):
caught a little lightning in a bottle. People believe him
because he had Athletic on his thing. He had to
go back and double talk because like clearly he goes
assorts within the Raiders' organization. I'm not gonna say his
name because if he's not gonna, if he's not real,
then whatever. But he said a surs within the Raiders'
organization has told me the Raiders and Jets have agreed

(26:53):
to a trade for DeVante Adams, a son retic. They'll
be involved in the deal. The trade is pending. Physicles
Reworke deals for Adam may take a week to get
it sorted or more more to come. And then he
came back and say, well while they're getting that sorted,
these other ones can scoop in. And then people are
going like, wait, didn't your things say a minute ago

(27:14):
that you worked for the Athletic and now it doesn't
so and this is and I want to be very
very clear, Elon Musk, this is your fault. You You
are too blame for any confusion that comes off at
Twitter or whatever they'll call it, because it used you
used to have to earn that check mark, not buy it.

(27:34):
So now it's like a person that's a check mark
or not. I don't know, but if the report looks real,
I started looking at it.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
So there were some people over the last two weeks
who did a thing where they said the emerging candidates
to replace Adrian Orgeanowski ESPN, and they would tag themselves
with a blue check mark, which is very funny way
to get engagement and to report on yourself, but it
tricked a lot of people. Tons of people get tricked
by that. So all right, so right now we know
what he wants.

Speaker 7 (27:59):
Reports are also that the Jets and the Cowboys have
inquired with the Raiders. However, Jerry Jones has come out
and said, we can't afford to fuck Da Adams on
your minds? Do you see all the money I just
spent a kid get out of here.

Speaker 3 (28:14):
And Cooks has hurt this week. Cook's got like a
bad knee infection.

Speaker 7 (28:17):
Yeah, of procedure on his knee caused an infection. So
now that he's gonna be out. And then the other
one that's now getting traction is the Ravens. Because Devonte
Adams was on a podcast talking about the Ravens. He
was asked, you know, if if you knew you were
gonna win the Super Bowl, but you're gonna have to

(28:38):
have eight hundred yards instead of a thousand plus, would
you want to play for the Ravens? And He's like,
I don't care about I've got stats. I'm fine with that.
So that now everybody's like, oh, he's going to the Ravens.
Right now, the teams with the most noise around them
are the New York Jets, the Orleans Saints, and now

(29:01):
the Baltimore Ravens. Because he said, I don't care about stats.
I just want to win.

Speaker 3 (29:04):
I want to go back to what you opened with though,
because I feel like I left a little meat on
the bone there, especially with the fellow Raider fans like yourself,
our guys Sean Martin's a big Raider fan. Raider fans
are always reaching out to you and talking about the squad.
Are you frustrated by what's happened here? Because July of
twenty twenty three, this.

Speaker 7 (29:24):
Was a storyline.

Speaker 3 (29:25):
Devant Adams played all last season as a Vegas Raider,
then this season who's poised to be a Raider again.

Speaker 7 (29:31):
But this storyline has been.

Speaker 3 (29:32):
Living for close to fifteen months. Fifteen months, And the
reason I asked the question whether or not you're frustrated
as a Raider fan is because the team is doing
well winning. You could say, if they've succeeded expectations, they
beat Baltimore. However you want to view that as a
Each Raider fan can have their own opinion about that.
But this would now be the second time, and maybe
I missed one or two, but I know for sure

(29:54):
the second time that an all pro wide receiver is
trying to get out of the rate for nothing the
Raiders did wrong? Like what what could the Raiders have
done differently to keep DeVante Adams?

Speaker 7 (30:06):
Last? Third, Hey, Rainy Moss was a little too far back.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
Randy Moss was what the late twenty twentyds early twenty ten,
those two were within six years of year. But yes,
I can't remember the Moss Moss one as well. That
maybe they could have made some moves to make him happy.
But the Adams and Brown stuff, what what.

Speaker 7 (30:24):
Are you supposed to do? That's like, that's where the
frustration is.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
What could your franchise your favorite team had done differently
to keep Adams the Antonio Brown won, maybe it's harder
than all of them, because that's nothing.

Speaker 7 (30:35):
The answer to that's nothing, Adam. Could the Raiders have
done to keep DeVante Adams fire? Josh McDaniel sooner? I think, like,
like when you look it, look I don't. I'm not
mad where the Raiders are Like, there's a lot of
people who are looking at this as, oh, here we
go again, this is a mess. Well it's yeah, but
you know, what is it or is it just something

(30:57):
that makes a lot of sense? Because again, if I'm
DeVante Adams and and he you know, he said he
went he went to bat he wanted Antonio Piers. But
I also think he thought they would go after our
quarterback in the offseason. I mean everybody thought that Jayden
and Daniels Antonio Piers connection from Arizona State would would
be a thing, you know, whatever you were bringing in.

(31:19):
Cliff Kingsbury at one point he didn't. Now he's over
in Washington with jaydenon Daniels. I think they there was
I think there was a lot of talk that hey,
we're gonna We're not gonna rebuild, We're gonna reset. We're good.
We got defense, we got special teams, we got most
of what we need for offense. We need we need
a QB. And you know me, I still think An

(31:40):
O'Connell has a shot of being serviceable. But obviously they
don't agree. But why wouldn't Why would you waste two
to three years of what's left for Devonte Adams. He's
still a top receiver. And if you're the Raiders, watch
that asset just die on the vine instead of Hey,

(32:01):
let's see where we can put you where you're happy,
and let's see what we can get back. And like
the one I saw, the one trade was a third
and a fifth round pick from the Ravens for Devanta Adams.
That I won't be happy. It's gotta be at least
a two to start, because again, don't forget, this isn't

(32:21):
even really a two. If you give me a one,
that's a two because you're probably going to the Super Bowl.
So I'm not picking until the late twenties at best
if you get Devanta Adams. So what why am I
gonna you know, why am I gonna go for a
third and a fifth like that doesn't that doesn't help
me the way I want to be helped.

Speaker 3 (32:41):
I know you mentioned that the trade, according to conflicting
reports here is close nearing getting finalized. Wheels are in motion.
There's gonna be I felt like Mike Tomlin there, like
giving different variations of what we don't want to hear
but really do want to hear.

Speaker 7 (32:55):
It feels like week six is far more.

Speaker 3 (32:57):
Plausible than week five because if the Jets are in
contention here, they're off to London for their game, which
you could hear right here on your home for Jets
football Fox Sports ninety five nine to ninety Our coverede
gets underway at seven thirty am, and Levac and I
will be out for a watch party this Sunday back
in River's casino resort, and the Saints play on Monday.

Speaker 7 (33:14):
So if the Saints.

Speaker 3 (33:16):
Are in contention and the Jets are in contention to
make this thing happen, then you my assumption would be
they're gonna wait one more week because they both have
a lot of things that are in motion to like,
He's not gonna play Sunday, it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 7 (33:30):
Well, if I'm and look, if I'm the Raiders, I'm
gonna do my due diligence be, you know, because obviously
there's that hamstring issue too. Yeah, to make sure that
that's better.

Speaker 3 (33:40):
Is that Kawhi Leonards hamstring? Gosh Ben has Ben Simmons' hamstring?

Speaker 7 (33:44):
Kevin Nashes.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
All right, people got that record?

Speaker 7 (33:49):
All right? So he wants the Jets are the Saints.
I'm gonna call both. I'm gonna see what they've got.
Cowboys say they're not in, but they're like if I'm
gonna pretend they are that that's basically like you know,
involving the Yankees in free agency in baseball, I'm gonna
pretend they're involved. How are the Bills not making the call?
How are the Ravens not making a call? How Like

(34:10):
Kansas City's the only one. I don't if you gave
him to Kansas City, it better be for a king's ransom,
like a one in a two, like you know what
I mean. Like because again, you know they're gonna be
you know, Kansas City is gonna go deep into the postseason,
and now you got to see him for two plus years.
But the real I mean, there's the real issue is

(34:32):
he doesn't have a no trade clause anymore. But he is.
He's gonna make thirty six million in twenty twenty five
and twenty twenty six with a forty four million dollar
cap hit. So when you talk to him like, hey,
you know, hey, it's hey, it's Buffalo, and we're excited.
We think we got a deal done with the Raiders.
But what do you think about your contract? I think

(34:53):
I'm gonna keep it just the way it is. Well,
then you can't come to Buffalo. Oh, darn 's on
the phone. Tell Pittsburgh I'm not changing by contract. Pittsburgh's
on the phone anymore. Jets are on the phone. I'm
willing to negotiate. You know, you you can still, you
can still kind of push the deal where you want
it because of that contract.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
Did you mention twenty twenty five, I feel like you might.

Speaker 7 (35:15):
Twenty five and twenty six, his salary will be thirty
six million, but it's a forty four million out gap.

Speaker 3 (35:20):
Yeah, okay, that's what I thought you heard. But I
thought the biggest difference for twenty four and twenty five is,
according to reports, twenty five is no guaranteed money. That's
some reports I'm hearing out there that there's no guaranteed
money in that contrac at least the word again when
we die. Yeah, there's a the wording of contracts that
the NFL get really odd, Like you really could have
six different sources tell you six different things about a

(35:42):
contract because the only people who really know were the
GM and the and the overall person who signed it
in the aged I always think about Kyler Murray's contract
where it's like, well, uh, we added that in that
he can't play call of duty or whatever you guys
got mad about.

Speaker 7 (35:56):
We swear we put it. No, you didn't.

Speaker 3 (35:57):
He didn't put it back in. You just we were
just all gonna assume you did because he said it
to us. I've heard rumors that twenty twenty fives guaranteed
money also might play a factor in that that if
Adams is moved but to like you said, he might
have a little bit more leverage of what he wants
to do with that contract because of a team like, uh,
we'll call it the all in teams, Buffalo, Gosh, Baltimarcus.

(36:18):
I have to put in there that hey, we're gonna.

Speaker 7 (36:21):
Jet, what a talk about? The Jets are the most
all in team.

Speaker 3 (36:23):
Yeah, Jet, But there's no more category than all in
that Stali and Douglas's job is on the line. They're
the all in team.

Speaker 7 (36:30):
It's I mean they yet one hundred per cent. And
and the Hassan Reddick thing is a big deal. I mean,
you think about it, if you could, if you could
do it too in Reddick for for Adams and you're
the Raiders now, mind you. That means that both sides
have to have conversations with the player. Like it's not
just the Jets going to Adams like, hey, love you buddy,
how are we redoing your deal? The Raiders have to

(36:52):
go to Hassan Redick and go, hey, we can't have
what happened over here? Are you ready? And what will
you play for? So like, both sides have to work
out contracts in the meantime. It's it's just like I said,
it just makes so much sense for him to go
somewhere where you can compete right now. And I don't like,
I don't want to lose the guy. I love watching

(37:15):
the guy play. I like the way he handles. He's
aid Taco Bell spokesman, for Pete's sake, what's better than that?

Speaker 3 (37:21):
Shout out to Taco Bell. I saw the new one
open near my house.

Speaker 7 (37:24):
Uh oh, number one customer, How you doing.

Speaker 3 (37:27):
Everyone's wondering why I came late to the office today. No, No,
our show is on at three and I was not
camping out at five am at that taco bell yet.

Speaker 7 (37:35):
Did you tell your pregnant wife you have there's a taco.

Speaker 3 (37:38):
Bell immediately because now it's not your fault. That's exactly right.
I mean I texted her today what are we doing
for dinner? And I gave her a lot of options,
hoping she would suggest it.

Speaker 7 (37:48):
She did not. That's my first sale. We'll get that
taco bell. Uh yeah, So I think I think it's
only matters time. It feels like it's the Jets. I mean,
like it does. It feels like it's the Jets. The
say would be interesting, is that the only team that
could really really use him that I don't. I'm not
okay with him going to is Kansas City.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
Hold on to your chair for a second. You listening
right now, Brace yourself sitting on it.

Speaker 7 (38:13):
It's not going anywhere.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Brace yourself, I'm about to say. Following our show yesterday,
Coveno and a Rich made.

Speaker 7 (38:19):
A good point.

Speaker 3 (38:23):
They had a good point on that show for once,
and they said it, Wait a second. You're trying to
tell me that Aaron Rodgers can get the New York
Jets to sign Tim Boyle, Randall Cobb and Alan Lazard,
but you can't get him to get DeVante Adams. Pretty
solid point.

Speaker 7 (38:41):
I mean, it's not not right.

Speaker 3 (38:42):
I know the money is a lot different, but we
get the premise of these guys.

Speaker 7 (38:46):
Stink.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
Those three are not good anymore. Randall Cobb said, you
know what, I'm actually embarrassed. I'm retiring Tim Boyle. I
don't know what he knows about Roger Goodell. Look at
his college stats. Lazzard has been playing pretty well. Yeah,
but the fact that those three got signed the Jets
and Aaron Rodgers can't get this to happen.

Speaker 7 (39:03):
Well, But here here's the other thing too, Like let's
be let's be really real. Okay, Jets fan, is it
gonna be enough? Because you've already got issues like your
your head coach and your quarterback are sniping at each
other in press conferences. Your wide receiver one right now?

(39:26):
Is I reheard the quotes part Scott asked a weird question.
It didn't It sounds a little bit like he's questioning
the play calling, not having trouble. If you told me
one hundred percent he wasn't okay whatever, I believe you.
But if you're Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard, all these other guys,
are are you happy that DeVonta Adams is coming? Are
you Are you happy that your number one target is gone?

(39:50):
Like because it's not him, You're not in anymore. Seventeen
is getting all those passes? Are you happy? Is it enough?
Is it gonna? Because I feel like the Jets are
a powder keg right now. They can blow up at
any time, and it's and it stinks because they're they're
good enough to win, but they're not good enough to
score ten points against Denver. That's that's not DeVonta Adams

(40:13):
doesn't fix that problem all the way. He makes it
a lot easier. But still something's wrong when you're your
offensive coordinators just reading off the script from gold Member
instead of, you know, giving you a new a new
strategy to get the ball down the field. I mean,
something's something's up there. I don't I don't know. I
think if I'm Adams, I don't say it publicly, but

(40:34):
I have one percent probably like yo, if I end
up with the Saints. I'm not gonna be bad. I'm
not gonna be bad.

Speaker 3 (40:39):
Saints got a big matchup with the Chiefs, someone in
and they win that game. I know the Falcons the
Bucks play tomorrow. We can talk about the Saints being
a playoff contender. We can talk about Saints potentially having
a good path in the NFC. I know the Super
Bowls in their home dome.

Speaker 7 (40:53):
We'll call it the.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
Little renovations that have been done since the last time
they host of that Super Bowl there, so they can
be in the mix for that. Uh yeah, I think
Davanta is it almost ninety nine percent positive?

Speaker 7 (41:03):
Ninety nine point nine.

Speaker 3 (41:04):
He's not playing this week for your Raiders.

Speaker 7 (41:06):
Not happening. They just I just saw Antonio peers like
presser and like it almost sounds like he doesn't know
where he is. He's it. Yeah, he's in here rehabbing
for Hampster. Is he in the building he's supposed to
be h It kind of feels that way, like I'm paraphrasing,
But no, no, no, that is exactly how you needed
to do it.

Speaker 3 (41:25):
Because if you and I are talking about the same clip, here,
are you talking about the one. I think within the
last forty five minutes to two hours that it's going
viral because according to some reporters out in Vegas, randomly,
when he was asked about players like Devonte Adams and
Max Crosby, and I believe there's one other one might
have been Minshew, but I know there's one other one.
He wouldn't say their name. He kept calling him by
their number, Like he wouldn't say Devanta Adams's name, He

(41:49):
wouldn't say Max Crosby's name. He like was oddly avoiding
saying their names when they were asked about those players.

Speaker 7 (41:55):
In this one. In this one, he I think he
does say on me he says he's you know, he's
rehabbing his hamster, so he's the in treatment. That's where
he's and he wouldn't say anything else about it. It's
a weird thing. I I don't like the Max Crosby
part of all this. Like this, if this stops here,
there's this could be good. I also like, as a
Raider fan, I'd like to thank DeVante Adams, not for

(42:18):
like what he's done on the field. I mean that's
been great by him coming out and saying this, it's
it's kind of anybody who's got a cooler head and
just kind of watching the progression of where the team
is headed. You can feel okay about it because the
player wants to leave. It's not the team chasing him out.
It's not the one. Like, you don't have to hate

(42:38):
the coach. You don't have to. You can hate Joshua Daiels.
You know he didn't do a great buy it. You
can other people, you can be mad at the former regimes,
but right now you know this, him saying hey, I
want to go get a ring not bad for the team.
It's it. It can all work out, Okay, we don't

(42:58):
all have to blow everything up. Antonio appears doesn't have
to be the next guy fired everything. Okay, because Devanta
Adams came out and said, I'd like I'd like to
be traded so good and he's doing it, you know,
pretty much the right way. But it is, it is.
It's definitely weird. It's not weird, but it sure is
helly the weirdest thing I've dealt with. His Raiders fan

(43:18):
And wherever he ends up, they're gonna be a favorite
to win it all, or at least close to. So
Good luck Davanta. I'll miss you, man, I miss you.
Take Tay Tay tay. Is it? Do you think it's
a Jets though it feels like it's the Jets.

Speaker 3 (43:34):
It's Jets there nobody but but jet fan. This is
not gonna feel better for you. Uh, you are gonna
get leveraged so poorly, like you're going to give up
too much. You're gonna give it now, Jet Fan, here's
that and they're like, what do you mean, what's too much?
If we get to the super Bowl, if we win
the AMC, that's enough.

Speaker 7 (43:48):
Fair.

Speaker 3 (43:49):
I'll can see that point. If you think this is
the all in movie you want, we watched it happen
with Tampa, sort of with Kansas City. San Francisco has
been all in. If the attitude is all in, then
the too much conversation go away. But what's gonna happen
is the teams you mentioned, Buffalo, New Orleans, Baltimore. They
the Raiders, if they're smart, will leverage that like crazy.

(44:09):
And the Jets are gonna give up way too much
for DeVante Adams. You'll be thrilled. As a Raider fan.
Jet Fan is gonna have to sit back and wait
and say, we don't know the answer till we see
the season wrap up, So yes to your answer, Yes, I.

Speaker 7 (44:21):
Would say that I still think it's I refuse to
rule up the Cowboys. I refuse to I think I
think it's I think it's Jets, Saints, Cowboys. I think
it's one of those three. I really do. The Ravens
make a ton of sense. The Bills make a ton
of sense. But like, those are the three that just
make the most sense to me. You know what also
makes sense to me's going to mohawkually relate tomorrow. Yeah,

(44:44):
we live. Guys can beg Grace and everybody to get
on the Dealership the show. It's weird like grays and
men have they been working out? They just look great.
They look great. Actually, Ben and I have have beef.
Ben and I have beef because benza reetz fan and
decided to pop off that he thinks the Oils are

(45:04):
gonna win the World Series. So he's clearly kissing up
to you a little bit. So maybe bends your way
into the Dealership, talented guy. I lost a lot of
respect for him on that one. I gotta be honest

Now back to Levac and Guz on ninety five, nine
and nine eighty AM Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 7 (51:50):
What's more impressive fifty fifty clobber or the triple crown?

Speaker 3 (51:56):
Fifty to fifty club?

Speaker 7 (51:57):
Why? All right? What's more valuable to a team winning
fifty to fifty clove or the triple Crown?

Speaker 3 (52:04):
Hmmm, that's a much more difficult question.

Speaker 7 (52:07):
I know I asked it.

Speaker 3 (52:10):
I would say the triple crowd is more valuable. Did
you know three three is more than two?

Speaker 7 (52:18):
Did you know that Aaron Judge would have won the
Triple Crown if he was in the National League? Did
you know? I did not know that. Well, it's true,
So Aaron Judge greater than show heyo Tanny. I'll leave you,
guys finished the show easy. I think it's over. I
think we listen. First of all, we all know that

(52:38):
shoe Heo Tani. There's skeletons in that closet. There's gonna
be weird things coming out. That dude's weird. I'm telling
you it's weird, very weird. He's very weird. I don't
know what Trump right there would happened.

Speaker 28 (52:49):
It.

Speaker 3 (52:49):
Twenty twenty four has been a better year for weird people,
Am I right?

Speaker 7 (52:54):
He was at the Diddy party? You know he was.
He uses baby oil to baseball.

Speaker 3 (52:59):
Over two complaints. They picked the best one. Twenty was
an American idol, like gosh, but he all right, I
think he's actually a robot.

Speaker 7 (53:10):
I do. I've decided like Ai has figured out how
to make a baseball player, and his shoe Heotani. So
Francisco Lindor should win the National League MVP because I
don't feel like the Mets are here without Lindor. I
do feel like the Dodgers would still be great without
without Otani. And then everyone should just acknowledged the fact
that Judge is better than both of them.

Speaker 3 (53:33):
No, no, yes, And I did that in the wrong worder,
so you got excited the Judge might be better than Altani.

Speaker 7 (53:40):
No, no, no, no, I stopped listening to you when
you didn't agree with me.

Speaker 3 (53:44):
Lindor is gonna finish.

Speaker 7 (53:47):
Second.

Speaker 3 (53:47):
Otani had an historic season, hand a season we've never
seen ever in the history of baseball. Ever, he's gonna
win the award. This is not in the same discussion
as the fifty six game hitting street versus the Triple Crown.

Speaker 7 (53:56):
I believe that's nineteen forty one. Oh, I hope I
got that.

Speaker 3 (54:00):
Uh with the fifty six game hitting streak and him
not winning the MVP and Ted Williams winning the MVP
because he won the Triple Crown. Gosh, this is the
second straight week where I went with an incredibly old
baseball reference during the show.

Speaker 7 (54:13):
Earlier this week. Last week, I was arguing.

Speaker 3 (54:15):
About the all time great RBI leaders thereon Judge and
now I'm maargued about who won that MVP, Williams versus
DiMaggio back then. No, Lindor is not getting the MVP.
Judge is not better than Otani. Otani's changed it, but
I can't.

Speaker 26 (54:29):
Dare.

Speaker 7 (54:30):
This is why I don't even respect you. As a
baseball fan, Why is you're wrong? Otani can pitch? Really?
When's the last time? Not out? Not this year? He
could pitch in the postseason. All right, let's see it.
Let's see it. I managed the Dodgers. Let's see. How's
he doing the outfield? Put him out there? Guys, how's
he doing the outfield?

Speaker 28 (54:48):
Huh?

Speaker 7 (54:48):
How's he play? Huh? Otani's the modern day Babe Ruth. No,
because Babe Ruth played the field. Ty didn't play the
field designated hitter. Okay, how you doing?

Speaker 3 (55:01):
I want obviously if the Orioles don't make it, but
can we get Otani versus judge? Can we if the
Orioles get bumped down?

Speaker 7 (55:09):
Please? I want it?

Speaker 3 (55:10):
I don't know, Zach Junior asked me. He goeses, oh, Tony,
get a pitch.

Speaker 7 (55:14):
I go. I wouldn't bet on it, but I'd like
to see it. Junior looks like he should be shooting.
He's like shoot up to play today. He's got the
full MAT's uniform on. I love it. It looks like
you brought your kid to work today and you dressed
them up like a like a big league baseball player.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
It's been about almost four years since they saw people
do that in a workplace. I loved it today.

Speaker 7 (55:32):
Oh I listen, you know me man, I always wear logos,
but he has like he's wearing the met's home uniform.
Like he's wearing the full gear gear today.

Speaker 3 (55:40):
He's on the morale committee here at iHeart. That's how
you get the morale in the building, going full uniform today.

Speaker 7 (55:46):
I'm all for it. Listen, Mets are great, Lindor's great,
Judge is the greatest, thank you.

Speaker 3 (55:54):
And in one more thing, Otani's a weirdo.

Speaker 7 (55:56):
He's definitely I'm telling you, wait for it. The Michael
Jackson to baseball. I love when people trying to grab me.
Oh you mean Michael Jordan baseball. No I don't, No,
I do not. But then again they did both gamble,
So I mean, who knows. What makes me really happy?

Speaker 3 (56:09):
Is like in January of twenty five, Levac pulls a
Cat Williams and he goes on a podcast and just
starts trying to cancel athletes like Cat Williams. Like everything
Cat Williams said and that shit in Hart podcast is

Speaker 7 (56:21):
Sure, let me tell you that everyone's canceling me because
I know the truth Diddy drinks baby or.

Speaker 3 (56:28):
Well that's gonna do that. In twenty twenty five with athletes,
first one, Oh Toddy's going down.

Speaker 7 (56:33):
I don't know what. No, I'm just gonna wait. I'm
gonna wait for chat Gpt to get bored playing baseball
and then he'll go do something else.

Speaker 3 (01:04:32):
Let's talk about what we mentioned just an hour ago,
a story that still could have an impact of the
NFC East. That is Brandon Cooks out for the Dallas
Cowboys in that matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers one week
is what's been discussed. Potentially longer. You never know how
long these infections will last. Is that procedure last week
in New York, following the victory over the Giants, developed
some symptoms of an infection in his knee.

Speaker 7 (01:04:55):
Out for this week.

Speaker 3 (01:04:56):
Well, we know that Ceedee Lamb star player for the Cowboys,
Dak Prescott. They sell vimpact players.

Speaker 7 (01:05:02):
But after that, Zeke uh, Jake Ferguson.

Speaker 3 (01:05:08):
Yeah, well, Mac, when you look about the Cowboys and
Brandon Cook, seems to that every team that he's ever
played for is given up too much to have him
on the team. He's not a fantasy football Darlene. He's
not a superstar wide receiver. Could this be an NFC
East shake up potentially with the loss of Cooks for Dallas.

Speaker 7 (01:05:28):
Listen, what you just said is why if I'm Jerry Jones,
I'll say what I ever have to say publicly but
I'm getting on the phone with Mark Davis and I'm
letting me know, Like, listen, I'll send you a case
of Lowby's. I'll get you for cut his own hair.
By the way, those of you don't never saw Overnight
info Meershall in the nineties. I'll get you Pfchen gift card.

(01:05:52):
I'll get you whatever you need. You send Adams here,
because I've got Adams on one side, Lamb and the other.
It doesn't matter who the running backs are. We'll figure
it out. I I just I have very little faith
in the Cowboys offense just because of what you just said.
I mean, Sea Lamb scares the hell out, that's it.
Like the rest of these guys. Ferguson tight End, Yeah,

(01:06:12):
he's you got to keep an eye on him. But
Zeke isn't really Zeke anymore. He's more of a short
yardage guy. And you know Rico doubtell is that his
Nate Yes sounds like a extra from Yellowstone. Like, I
don't like none of this. It's poorly put together. The

(01:06:34):
stars and scrubs, and a lot more scrubs than the stars.

Speaker 3 (01:06:35):
And the Cowboys have expiring contracts coming up with cooks
with DeMarcus Lawrence with Zach Martin, their salary cap is
hard to figure out their strategy of what you've laid
out there. I also remembered when we had this conversation.
And by the way, our podcast on us, you're gonna
notice it's a full show today, not broken up by
the hours, because we're a shortened show today. So if

(01:06:56):
you just scroll back about sixty minutes earlier, man about
forty minutes earlier, you're in a note that Levac pointed
out that the Cowboys are in contention with DeVonta Adams.
I remember where we were, Levak in twenty eighteen when
your Raiders did this the last time they did it
with the Cowboys when they traded away Amari Cooper for

(01:07:17):
a first round draft pick, and people crushed the Cowboys
because other teams within that cycle of the NFL season,
we're doing trades for wide receivers that got far less.

Speaker 7 (01:07:26):
So we know this about Dallas. They're gonna make that
move again.

Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
They might also drive the price up on Davontats because
they've have a history with the same guy making decisions
in that organization.

Speaker 7 (01:07:36):
How far they want to go with the move. Oh,
I can't wait. I just listen. I don't want to
lose the Vonta Adams To'll get me wrong, but come on, man,
if you can, you imagine if you knew like your
girl was leaving you, and instead of her just leaving,
somebody had to give you something when she left, like,
oh sorry, here's a Camaro. Get out. Get out. Never

(01:07:57):
like you, never like you.

Speaker 3 (01:08:00):
We want to story number three. Yankee fans, We've got
good news for you. Although the Bronx Bombers are not
playing yet in the American League postseason, we do have
news coming out of the Bronx that Carlos Rodan will
be the starting pitcher for Game two of the Alds
that has already been announced whether they're going to be
playing the Royals or the Orioles. A touchbour on that
coming up here in the top four and four Game

(01:08:20):
three starter.

Speaker 7 (01:08:21):
TBD, Oh Game one sometimes that guy's very good.

Speaker 3 (01:08:27):
Game one is Garrett cole Levac. What do you make
right now?

Speaker 7 (01:08:30):
In your opinion?

Speaker 3 (01:08:30):
Obviously can change as the matchups actually get clarified and
understood Wednesday afternoon. Feel of Rodin getting the start in
Game two of the Alds for the Bronx Bombers.

Speaker 7 (01:08:40):
I mean, honestly, who else? Who else do you want
to be the second game starter? Because if obviously there's
a NEF attached to his name, sadly, but if he's right,
he gives you the best chance to win game two.
If he's not right, he probably still is your best
chance to win game two because you just like, there's

(01:09:00):
there's no picture in your starting rotation right now not
named Garrett Cole that doesn't have if attached to their
name somewhere. So this is why he makes the money.
Get him in there, give him to work. See what
he does. I just I'm ready, like I'm ready for
you to lose to the Royals today and get and
let's get this thing going.

Speaker 3 (01:09:16):
I was gonna end an opinion about what I thought
about rode On, but you've already set me up here
for story number two. Let's talk about story number two.
It is the American League expanded Wildcard. You know what,
Let me pause myself there for a second, because I've
done that five or six times. Should I stop calling
it the expanded wild card? Because how I think about
the wild card is I went through baseball when it

(01:09:38):
was a wildcard, was a huge deal like whoa bob
costas his brain is gonna explode. We add another team
not going for the pennant, Like, I remember that a
little bit. Then I remember the four team playoff. Then
the wild card was the one wild card standalone winner
take all four versus five seed game. Now we've got
this round, honestly, which is not the DS or the CS.

(01:09:58):
Do I just wild a wildcard?

Speaker 7 (01:10:00):
Okay? So expanding is gone now? Well, because honestly, like
the way you're saying it is, you're it's almost like
you're begging someone to give you an opportunity to pontificate
and say how smart you are. And I use the
word pontificate because it gave me a chance to say
it and see how smart I am. Like you're like,
what give me, guys? Why she expanded? Well, will youngster

(01:10:22):
have a seat? Let me tell you about the history
of playoff baseball. When I was a mere twenty seven,
there was only.

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
There are certain terms in sports, like the MC double tournament.
You couldn't say the first or second round because the
first four counted as the first. So I started teaching
myself to say the round of sixty four, the round
of thirty two, and then nobody cared, and now.

Speaker 7 (01:10:46):
And then now I'm here with the expanded wild.

Speaker 3 (01:10:48):
Card, and finally after did you I'm sorry, guys, why
do you call it the expanded wild God today I
retire that term. All right, Okay, the Tiger's just scored.
I stole, he stole long enough for that to happen.
Six thitten Tigers up one nothing. And for those for
those who don't know, and I'm not judging you, the

(01:11:10):
wild Card round is a best of three game series.
The ALDS NLDS is a best of five, the ALCS,
NLCS and World Series best of seven, and we're not
judging anyone here. Unost you're an Oriole fan and you
washed out quickly. The team got bounced by Texas last year,
who won the World Series. And you realize your pitcher

(01:11:30):
Cortman Burns went about as well as you could play
yesterday and they lost one nothing with Bobby Wood Junior. Well, fact,
the Oriole season can end in our bet that we've
been so excited about all season long could also end
tonight with a lost by the Orios that I'd be
doing stand up comedy and my favorite team season can
end for the second consecutive season and whatever round we
want to call this Royal Orioles twenty minutes?

Speaker 7 (01:11:52):
What happened? I got you? Now, I didn't know what
you were up to. Now I know you're up to.
Excuse me? Can you look get Fran Brown to take
over the last home show since the first pitch of
the Orioles games at four point thirty and I really
don't want to be on an hour and a half
with the back during that game. You how dare you?

Speaker 24 (01:12:11):
What?

Speaker 7 (01:12:12):
How dare you?

Speaker 3 (01:12:13):
I'm following the contract. Okay, I didn't sign this.

Speaker 7 (01:12:16):
I got you contract right here.

Speaker 3 (01:12:20):
Brand Brown Coaches Show is going to take over the
third hour of the show.

Speaker 7 (01:12:22):
Yeah, yeah, it is all right. Good, let's move.

Speaker 3 (01:12:29):
Let's move on to story number one. It's National League playoffs.
They face the wild card round.

Speaker 7 (01:12:34):
Well Rex is listening, guys, you little baby guys, but
you don't even know your name yet. Wes Rex. Thomas
Goslawski the third over here. That's that's your poopy face.
You're dad, Mets Brewers seventh. They're gonna love that one.
Met's bur seventh. You're gonna go home and play it
for them. You love this face.

Speaker 3 (01:12:58):
He's already on the river at Kevin Tracey. Now it's
just start going to his head here. Eight thirty Brave Padres.
They'll do that same math again. The Mets win, they
advance if the Padres when they advance, vac uh. I
want to save that for the play of the day.
I don't want to ask you that question.

Speaker 17 (01:13:13):
M hmm.

Speaker 3 (01:13:14):
There's a lot been covering the play of the day.
Let's say this. Let's hope they're break competitive, exciting games
between them. No, no, no, here's here's all swinging.

Speaker 7 (01:13:23):
Are you okay? I'm good. The godspot is breaking down
in the other room.

Speaker 3 (01:13:28):
Here's all I want to do with the storyline. I'm
still thrown off by the Orioles. I can't believe they
lost yesterday. Which fan base should be more upset and
disappointed if they get knocked down tonight? Okay, the Brewer
fan base or the Brave fan base?

Speaker 7 (01:13:42):
Uh Brewer, Brewer for because you were in, you know you,
we knew you were in, and you're getting beat by
your younger step brother. Like it's the team that's being
built in your fashion, in your image, and they're already
better than you.

Speaker 3 (01:14:03):
Absolutely the right answer, Thank you, don't have much. Gonta
have much that Uh, that's it. Milwaukee has been so
close six of the last seven seasons. The Atlanta point
exactly right. They're almost out of the postseason. San Diego
spent a ton of money to be in the spot,
but shadowed tatists. Look at the payroll. San Diego's done.
By the way, can we give some love to the

(01:14:23):
San Diego fans. I know our audience. I looked at
our digital numbers. We don't have a lot of listeners
in San Diego. Are got Canterra is always rocking a
Pondrea's hat though. Uh, that is a good group of
fans supporting that team. I know they had the Chargers
and they lost the Chargers. I know soccer is a
big deal out there. That Padre crowd. If you talk
about all the postseason crowds from yesterday, if I ranked

(01:14:44):
the postseason crowds, san Diego's.

Speaker 7 (01:14:46):
Is the best, better in Baltimore's. The hell were the
fans in Baltimore? I know it's a four to thirty start.
Where the hell were the fans? Have you ever seen?
Have you ever seen Baltimore? When gets stark?

Speaker 3 (01:14:56):
My wife, well, thank you, My wife said, please don't
get me lost Inaltimore. Just make sure the address is
correct from Candemy Yarns.

Speaker 7 (01:15:02):
And I got it. I told my daughter that just uh,
just the other day when they during the Bill's Ravens game,
because we went at one o'clock game and and the
Raiders fans were ridiculous. They were the bad ones. I'll
admit it, but I was like, I've never that Baltimore
is the place right now when you go to me,
Hey tell me a place you love when the sun's up,
but you wouldn't set put in when the sun's down.

(01:15:24):
It's Baltimore.

Speaker 3 (01:15:26):
Also, the thing about Baltimore in that area we're talked about,
it all looks the same, like the street Like if
I didn't have a GPS in that area behind the
stadium behind you would be lost.

Speaker 7 (01:15:36):
I'd be lost as you get lost some way to
a bathroom.

Speaker 3 (01:15:39):
If I put the number one spot of place, I
would get lost. Like if you threw me out in
a hif.

Speaker 7 (01:15:44):
Mike wasn't here, you'd still be wandering the streets of
the Bronx. From a bust of the Bronx from what twelve.

Speaker 3 (01:15:50):
Years ago or whatever it was that'd be number two
on the places I'd most likely get lost.

Speaker 7 (01:15:53):
Yeah, that's another. I don't really want to be in
New York City when it gets stark either. But Baltimore
was like, Oh, it's so beautiful and then like it
gets dark and just weed clouds start popping up out
of the bushes and it's almost like they plan it,
like I'll get rid of these tours, but get them
out of here.

Speaker 3 (01:16:09):
Luckily I'll never be lost. Thanks to Mohawk Honda, the
proud sponsor of the top Foard four and where I
drive my vehicle around the Capitol, he just provided by
Mohawk Honda, drive it around places I know where I'm
going because I'm plugging my phone to my wonderful CRV

Speaker 7 (01:16:26):
I don't know how.

Speaker 3 (01:16:28):
Here's the problem. My Apple car play real quick.

Speaker 7 (01:16:30):
I don't know what I just.

Speaker 3 (01:16:31):
Did today with my settings on there. But it's too
dark to see. So now it's like too so like
if I gotta get it lighter because I'm like squinting,
like Jameis Winston, like is this Saint go left?

Speaker 7 (01:16:42):
What time is it? So just turn it up on
the right. That's what I thought. I with the settings
and brightness won't turn up. No, No, there's a little
button to turn up the brightness on your dash on
the dashboard.

I can't believe that on Twitter right now, I didn't
know why going into this segment you want to talk about.
It is exploding right now. Within just minutes of us
posting our thoughts on the tweet we got from our
friend Matthew Bob all.

Speaker 7 (01:23:45):
Right, so Bob, he's the uh he is the Twitter
Warriors the he's the X Man on the show. That's
that's what we'll call him. He's X Man out of nowhere.
Because we talked, you have a new Taco Bell opening
near you, he goes, and I'm the new Taco Bell
by ah, so he must live near you. What's the
best thing on the menu at Taco Bell? And I

(01:24:07):
I I perfectly. I'm not gonna lie to you, guys,
Like it really depends. Like there's there's a lot of
great options to grilled stuff ritos. I used to like
the Mexican pizza once in a while, but you went,
you went. You had a favorite right away, right I
Taco Bell? That are be paying us soon for this?
By the way, Uh cheese girty to crunch and crunch

(01:24:28):
Repp Supreme. Here's the thing.

Speaker 3 (01:24:30):
Where I grew up in Central New York, in Syracuse,
we played a ton of cards. Obviously not for money
back then, it was just for fun. I played a
lot you can bet you bet. Card I played a
lot of poker as a kid, like a lot that
was like our thing, like we played. You know, you
have your sporting event basketball, football, baseball on the weekend,
but the day before, hanging out with your buddies playing
poker and whoever would get knocked out first before you

(01:24:52):
went to the final table, so you'd have like ten
or twelve guys, some nights eight guys. So when you
actually did like the old final table thing, whoever were
the guys who got knocked out first all had to
do the Taco Bell run. So some guys I'm still
convinced to this day didn't want to be good at
poker because they had more fun doing the run to
Taco Bell and coofing off and just it was within
walking dist into some kids' houses. So the Taco Bell

(01:25:14):
love for me goes back a long way because it
was associated with some really cool nights growing up with friends.
So it always was the cheesy gurdy to crunch and
the crunch Trap Supreme, which would keep you under five
bucks because sometimes the poker buying was five bucks and
the Taco bell buying was five bucks, so you got
ten bucks in a weekend, you're good to go as
a teenager. And that is not the price of those anymore.
So I'm sure they've added wonderful stuff. It's still a

(01:25:35):
great spot to go to. That is my go to
cheesy gurdy to crunch crunch trap Supreme.

Speaker 7 (01:25:39):
So my I wasn't gonna answer at first, but I
was like, you know what I do want to answer.
I'm like, impossible to choose only one. But I will
tell you this, I will destroy a bag of soft
shell talk with Supremes any chance I get. And I
love that ninety Kids nineties kid are at kids from
the nineteen nineties went right to the Shack commercial with

(01:26:01):
the taco neck because that's I mean, that was not
that was the nineties. I mean Shaq eating tacos and
transd the side and then he was able to make
free throws very on brand tweet. Here here's the problem
with this, right, it happened to me? What I it's
so it wasn't it had nothing to do with tacos. Okay,

(01:26:24):
it had nothing to I know, I'm fat now I
wasn't fat then. It had nothing to do with tacos.
But taco neck is actually called torticolis. It is a
it is a stiffening of the muscles on one side
of your neck. So I went to sleep, so whenever
I did, I woke up and my head was stuck
to my damn shoulder and I had to drive to

(01:26:44):
the hospital like that to get muscle relaxers. And they're like, oh,
look you got taco neck. I'm like, yeah, yeah, it's hysterical. Yeah,
it's a real. It was so painful. It's so painful.
It was, I mean, and like again like it's cliche,
a fat guy with taco neck, but it I So
when he brought it up, all I was like, I

(01:27:04):
had a flashback, trying to get to the doctor to
get muscle relactures so I could straighten my head. How
old were you in this injury? Twenty something? Yeah, it
was early twenty early twenties. How many did you eat? No,
it wasn't actually talks, it was sleep from It was
just sleepy. Yeah. Okay, I mean, dude, don't get me wrong,
I'm not gonna double drunken nights. You get after some tacos, like,

(01:27:26):
I'll put down a bag. I'm a ready.

Speaker 3 (01:27:28):
I know you said sleeping. I just assumed the tacos
were eating then the sleep occurred. I just assumed that
was the part one of the stories.

Speaker 7 (01:27:34):
They were like, did you do that? You have a
quick move your car accident? What could have caused this whatever?
And I'm like, I just I woke up this way
and they were like, okay, cool, and then they gave
me some muscle relaxers, loosened up and I was able
to straighten my head up. But yeah, no, it's it's
a real thing called twitter colist and it's it sucks.

(01:27:54):
It's terrible. I've had that, and then I've had a
couple of like weird things happen to me, like physically,
I just I can't. I mean, it can't be because
the way I live my life, that's impossible to believe
that that's the reason I'm getting I'm getting those things.
But like that one, I'll never I'll to this day
whatever taco neck to like even my like when when

(01:28:16):
my sister graces me with her presence, if we taco,
She's like, Jeff, taco neck happened to him, and I'll
be like, ah, I did. It's not funny, hurt, it sucked.
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:28:27):
Later in this hour, we'll talk about elevation ten thousand. Marketing,
Like that shack commercial that we shared with us is
a great marketing campaign in the history of sports. I
obviously Michael Jordan and Nike, like that's number one. I'm
talking about marketing of athletes. But the Devanta Adams, which
we've talked a lot about today. I loved that Taco
Bell in the house thing. I thought it was just
a great campaign. Funny, all that stuff was good. Those

(01:28:48):
campaigns are on the list of some of the ones
I love. Like, you gotta think a certain athlete with
a brand that quick is the goal of any marketing
thing with an athlete, and like those who are quickly
in my head.

Speaker 7 (01:28:58):
What it's weird too because like as good as Devanta
Adams is, I don't think of as a pitch guy,
you know what I mean. So it's like it's kind
of it's kind of the perfect Taco bell pitch guy,
especially now that he's in Vegas. I wonder how it's
gonna translate when he goes to Buffalo. I won't know
how that's gonna go over. It is he got a
wing shack in his house.

Speaker 29 (01:29:18):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:29:18):
Credit to our guy Chris Snorato.

Speaker 5 (01:29:21):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (01:29:21):
Chris Sonorado had a conversation with Jay Billis and he
asked Jay Billis that question. He goes, Jay, if you
lived in a world of nil and you got to
pick one sponsor to work with when you were nineteen,
who would have been Billis? Didn't even hesitate. He goes
underwear just in general, didn't hesitate. It's like, did he
think he would be an underwear model? Did he have

(01:29:42):
some issues? He just underwear?

Speaker 7 (01:29:44):
Okay, all right? Trying to think, Well, for me, it
would Benzema. I tried to find a way.

Speaker 3 (01:29:52):
Eddie Lampkin, who is gonna be a some must say,
a big time player in the ACC this season, who
caused a little controversy with wearing forty four for Syracuse
basketball this season. Yeah, he's doing a podcast now and
he's doing a lot of nil deals. But I still
do like what he did. Like he just made his
own restaurant and now he's going to different places in

(01:30:13):
the Syracuse area and just handed out soul food and
southern food and like all the food he likes. And
he's like, I'm good at this. I want to run
a restaurant. I wanted to create a business that I
want to do post career, and he's already started on that.
I'm like, that's new to me. Like we're talking about
athletes supporting brands, Like this guy really made his own brand,
which is very cool.

Speaker 7 (01:30:31):
He's not a business man, he's a business man. We
are getting close to the Orioles final game of the
season getting underway. Ooh, I could myself, well, did you
see all right? Did you see the Mets tonight? So
it's Mania versus Montas? Like Montos actually pitches, Now, I

(01:30:52):
didn't think he did. Yes, yes, I didn't know that
Frankie Montas actually was a pitcher. I thought he just
I thought he just showed up on your on your roster.

Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
Even of the Milwaukee Brewers have more wins than the
Orioles this season, I have more confidence that the Orioles
will win over the Brewers tonight.

Speaker 7 (01:31:06):
Hold on, I just want to I want to remind
everybody that Frankie Montas with a Yankee twenty twenty two
and twenty twenty three with eight games I'm sorry, nine
games played. Now he's pitching in the postseason, which.

Speaker 3 (01:31:19):
One feels worse that Mantas thing you just ran through
or how could King pitch last night for the padres that?

Speaker 7 (01:31:24):
It didn't make me feel any better. And the best
part is nobody was Nobody was even pointing that one
out at first. I'm like, no, no, that's a that's
the thing. He's a former, but he but King. We
like raised King. It felt like it wasn't it's these
guys that you bring in to save the day who
just do nothing. Sonny Gray, Frankie Montas, you know, those
those guys.

Speaker 3 (01:31:44):
Just King became the fifth pitcher in Major League Baseball
postseason history to allow no runs, no walks in ten
plus strikeouts. It's a hell of a stat.

Speaker 7 (01:31:55):
I mean, now, if you're trying to rub it in,
you're you know, you're you're getting there. Who had that ready?

Speaker 3 (01:32:00):
Credit to TBS who had that stat ready to go
last night?

Speaker 7 (01:32:04):
I mean it is that there's whole status departments out there. Man,
what you do you?

Speaker 3 (01:32:08):
I mean, that seems like a very specific stat that
they had ready to go, and it was very impressive.
I'm not saying like that's that's a lot of ways
to get to that number. He was great last night.
King was really good.

Speaker 7 (01:32:18):
All right, do you want to do?

Speaker 3 (01:32:19):
I want to talk about the Orioles quickly to see
if it really is the farewell for Baltimore.

Speaker 7 (01:32:23):
You think it is. No, no, no, no, no no no,
I can tell you think it is.

Speaker 3 (01:32:26):
Here's my fear of Baltimore was that the best they
had last night out of their pitching staff, like Corvin Burns,
the loser in an effort like that that could realistically
do the last time he pitched for the Orioles, because
he could be a Met next season. Met fan would
love it. And hell of an audition for the Mets
after that performance yesterday, Bobby Witt Junior, I don't care
what team you're rooted for. He's becoming one of the
fun players to root for in baseball. He's just a

(01:32:49):
fantastic stud. I wish you would like him.

Speaker 7 (01:32:52):
Huh, He's really good.

Speaker 3 (01:32:54):
Here's why I'm a little hesitant about Baltimore, just because
I see the name Seth Lugo, and you and I
had some You and I had some fun with Lugo
earlier than the summer about how many pitches does he
really throw? The rumor was eight. I had heard nine,
You had heard seven. You and I did it on
the air after he played against the Yankees, I believe
on one site told us twelve twelve, like we tried

(01:33:17):
to figuring so when you have somebody throwing that type
of stuff whatever, it ends up being so unpredictable on
the mount in the postseason, aren't the Royal is just
gonna let him go like that? I can imagine, Uh,
they're just gonna let him throw six, seven, eight innings, just.

Speaker 7 (01:33:33):
Gonna let it all depends how effective he is. You
gonna you get a hold of a couple of those.

Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
Maybe maybe I'm thinking that because you and I were
texting before the show today about managers letting pitchers go
and Pat Murphy, who's the Syracuse native who.

Speaker 7 (01:33:47):
He's like, well, he retired nine straight, nine straight? Better, No,
he didn't. He had this guy, this guy that. Yeah,
but one of those was hard hit.

Speaker 3 (01:33:55):
So Yanks on your ninety pitches over and in the
biggest game of the season, what are you doing?

Speaker 7 (01:34:02):
Just go man?

Speaker 3 (01:34:04):
I brought this one up with a bunch of times
in this year of the show. If your biggest criticism
is that we left our best player out there in
the biggest moment of this season, they didn't deliver, And
that's the criticism you're gonna face I could live with that.
I know I'm by myself. I know I know him
by myself in the gritty little thing with Pedro. In
the history of baseball, the fact that a guy got

(01:34:24):
fired because he got the Hall of Fame pitcher on
the mountain blows my mind. If you're gonna get criticized
because your best player is on the mountain, you let
him go a little far like that's my fear.

Speaker 7 (01:34:33):
If the Royals don't want to do that. I believe
the Royals love Seth Lugo rightfully, so he's a nice player.

Speaker 3 (01:34:38):
Yank him, do it, go to the bullpen. Watch the
words it a walk off home run.

Speaker 7 (01:34:43):
I think I'm gonna call you when this game is
over and just go Lugo and then and dance.

Speaker 3 (01:34:48):
Don't don't do that.

Speaker 7 (01:34:49):
Please? Don't you got your jokes ready? Are you ready?

Speaker 3 (01:34:52):
I plan on wearing an Oriole hoodie to Mohawk chef
for late tomorrow. That's what see I'm doing. You see
my daughter has jokes.

Speaker 7 (01:34:58):
Now. I saw her. She's she's text She's text me
on something. I was like, I'm starving. She was high starving.
I'm ella, I wrote back, you're adopted, you to learn. Uh,
you know what. You know what's amazing.

Speaker 5 (01:35:11):
You know what.

Speaker 7 (01:35:11):
I love CDTA. That's right. And I'll tell you one
of the reasons I love CDTA because I'm gonna make
everyone in my life ride CDTA. I'm no longer picking
anyone up. I'm done, I give up. I get to
drive alone. Now I'm gonna I'm doing my thing. Actually,
you know what, you can take what you want. I'll
take CDTA because then I can do what I want.
CDTA has got the roots to connect you to what matters,
what you care about right here in the Capitol Region.

(01:35:32):
And you don't have to do the driving. They'll take
care of it. They'll get you where you're going safely.
You're gonna be living the dream. I love the I
always have the dream of riding the bike and putting
the bike on the front of the bus because I
feel like I'm healthy and I'm doing more for the environment.
I'm gonna get to that at some point in my life.
I will. It's all because of CDTA. Hop off board
with CDTA and explore the Capitol Region. They were fifty

(01:35:52):

CDTA dot org or the navigator app. Grab those Get
connected today with CDT. A play of the Day is

(01:36:13):
coming up next right here, Fox Sports Radio ninety five
to nine and nine eighty.

Speaker 6 (01:36:19):
If you missed our twenty twenty four it's Lavak and
Guz on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:36:26):
See yesterday. I want to say, like Power Rankings had
its own opening, I feel like we do need an
opening for playing the Day because we've been doing this
since the show launched.

Speaker 7 (01:36:33):
So here's here's the problem though, Like, if if I
sing something, isn't that mean that like we have to
get rights to it or take over the rights to it.

Speaker 3 (01:36:42):
No, no, no, no no, that's original audio. If you
have your own song, you created our own jingle, our
own tune. That's ours now it Sharon claims every song
ever created six chords, that's it.

Speaker 7 (01:36:54):
But we could do it all right. Well, here's here's
the thing. I seem to remember Malcolm in the middle,
Like every time he'd hum and stuff, they'd be like
will you please stop doing new music. We have to
then make sure it's new, and then we have to
and then we have to copyright it, so we have
it my feeds.

Speaker 3 (01:37:11):
A big brother would flag him all the time.

Speaker 7 (01:37:13):
Can't sing it? Play of the day brought you buy more?
That's it? Powerful. You know what kids are doing now?

Speaker 3 (01:37:23):
You know any now they're they've decided Wes has decided
it's not his taste anymore. They've just decided any song
they hear, if they're just gonna put butter poop in it,
that's it. That's I mean, it's standard. I mean we
still do that, Bruno Mars. Just the way you are poop,
just the just the way you poop.

Speaker 7 (01:37:40):
That's it. I mean, that's it. It's a solid, a
solid transition. I mean I remember when uh, Little Mermaid,
you know, the kids, my daughter and my niece and
everybody he kissed. You got to kiss the squirrel and
they'd be like, it's not yet, you know, yeah, you're.

Speaker 3 (01:38:02):
Supposed to do that. Rudolph had a very shiny nose. Nope, not.
According to the Kazlowski Boys, shiny butt. Shiny butt again
could be worse. Think of all the things they could
say we're shining on Rudolph. I mean, you don't really,
but it's probably if you're We had actually in a
meeting about this. If you're a young band or young
musician out there and you're looking to catch your break,

(01:38:23):
here with iHeart, we will take your stuff and not
pay for it. So if you want to send us
a custom intro, we'll just mention you on the air and.

Speaker 7 (01:38:31):
Like, we'll give you the publicity. We'll say who's sang
it occasionally and if we ever do a live event,
you could play at it. That's it for free, that's
what we can offer to you. Yeah, we will promote
you as the house band of Levac Nams. I'm Foxport
rating night then I love how to play The day
has become us just shilling, just shilling for trying to
get free music out of people.

Speaker 3 (01:38:51):
The house band would be awesome, you know me Xylophone.

Speaker 7 (01:38:56):
Oh no, you're not in the house band.

Speaker 3 (01:39:00):
Speaking about house band tomorrow, we're live at Mohawks Chevy
by the way, so this is a Chevy playing the day. Yeah,
so you can show up tomorrow and bring Mohawk Chevrolet together.

Speaker 7 (01:39:08):
Let's drive a mak Chevy. Just off ectually twelve of the.

Speaker 3 (01:39:10):
North Way and they always got out of their way
to please Hee.

Speaker 7 (01:39:13):
It's very true they do.

Speaker 3 (01:39:14):
So you can show up with instruments tomorrow and test
out the house band.

Speaker 7 (01:39:17):
Well, no, I would say, we get like a real
local band, oh that wants to be the house pan
and maybe it's like a maybe you're Maybe you're the
house band for a year and then we pick a
new house band. Or is it just once you're the
house band, you're the house band. That's it until you
break up. It's like that what is that.

Speaker 22 (01:39:35):
Like?

Speaker 35 (01:39:36):
Uh?

Speaker 7 (01:39:36):
Do you ever see Starship Troopers when they announced like
the new guys like till you dah or we win
this war? You are this you know, t we till
the show stops. So the band breaks up, you're the
house band of the backing guys. Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (01:39:53):
By the way, also a little programming note here. In
about ten minutes, maybe eight minutes, I don't know how
the mas's gonna go here, we are bumped. This is
our final segment of the day. Because of contractual obligations,
we will be hearing the coach Fran Brown Coaches show
coming up. That gave us sit to kick off on Friday.
We are out live the next two days. Fox Sports
ninety five nine to nine eighty is year home for
the Coaches Show, but because of contractual obligations, the next

(01:40:15):
hour will be the Coach Brown Coaches Show. So this
is our final segment of the day. This is the
play of the day, Levac. I know I said this
in the top four four. Today is a historic day
today in sports because from now until basically forever, we
have football on every single day.

Speaker 7 (01:40:29):
I love football. I love all the people who are
hit me up right now about Davante Adams. It's like, Okay,
I get it, and it's, as I've said numerous times now,
it's probably the best thing for everybody. Okay. Sometimes breakups
are healthy, sometimes they're good. Maybe she's at a different
point in her life than you are. You know, like me,

(01:40:51):
I don't. I don't necessarily want you to be there
every single day when I wake up. Maybe that's something
you're looking for. We shouldn't be together, you know. Maybe
maybe you're a thirty something year old wide receiver who's
ready to win a Super Bowl. The Raiders aren't exactly
there at this moment. Maybe I think Adel Connell should
be starting. They've got Gardner Minshew starting. I don't know

(01:41:12):
what to do with that. I think it's good for
him to get out of there enough to get a
second round during a bunch of picks and other stuff.

Speaker 3 (01:41:18):
I think I misspoke, by the way. I know I
said it right in the top forward for today is
the last day, and then tomorrow and then every day
after tomorrow. We have football on every single day. I
think I misspoke there.

Speaker 7 (01:41:27):
You know what I mean. You listened, if you could
you get your together.

Speaker 3 (01:41:30):
Braves over Podres tonight to even the series. That's my play,
Braves over Padres. I'm gonna I'm gonna roll with the
hot head, give me the Mets. I'm gonna keep going
with the Mets.

Speaker 7 (01:41:39):
Here's one of those prefab It's a pre prefab Mets
parlay Mets to win. Sean and I have five plus strikeouts.
Jose Iglesias and Mark vantos To both have two total bases.
I like it. It's plus seven thirty six. Oh use it.

Speaker 3 (01:41:57):
And you said this to me years ago, and it's
really an interesting It's true because I've noticed it more
and more. Where the Red Sox were doing well and
used to point out how Red Sox fans were all
of a sudden like zombies coming on into the street, Like,
where were you years ago? I didn't know you were
a Red Sox fan. Were you crawling out of all
of a sudden? Well, we have hit that point now,
at least today I have with met fan. I feel

(01:42:18):
like I had a really good understanding of the people
in my life who had considered to be Met fans.
I had a meeting today wonderful people who are associated
with the radio fond that we get to be a
part of an iHeart every single year in May on
our sister stations the River in gy who knows maybe
figure out who he had Fox Sports about. It's a
little harder because it's in the morning. But with that
all being said, they were yelling and screaming about the

(01:42:40):
Mets in the meeting today, these wonderful women who work
with these kids every single day. You would have thought
Edwin Diaz had busted in and had, like all of
a sudden, thrown at one of the Little League kids.
They were supporting. They were monster Met fans.

Speaker 7 (01:42:56):
Well, I wouldn't think they would be supportive if the
closer was throwing out the game kids. Maybe two of
the kid maybe that.

Speaker 3 (01:43:03):
Would be no, no, no, they were not happy with
Edwin dz oh Matt. They're supporting the Mets, screaming and
yelling about and again Edwin Diaz thing was like two
days ago. They're talking about the clos against the Braves
in the regular seasons.

Speaker 7 (01:43:18):
Yeah, he gots done.

Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
I'm just surprised how many Met fans are popping out
an hours. I had no idea that's what that meeting
was going to be about. About people associated with doing
great things in the Capital region ranting and raving about
Edwin Diz.

Speaker 7 (01:43:29):
It is well, I mean, listen, they are They're the
best story in baseball right now, right unless you're like
your team, right like you're like obviously the Yankee fan,
I'm fired, but the Yankees, I mean, as we mentioned
several you're super excited about that one nothing loss for
your orioles. That's exciting for you. But like if you
don't have a team and or if your team isn't

(01:43:51):
playing yet, like if you're one of the four top seeds,
like the Mets are the best story. They just they are.
They're entertaining, they're fun, they're fired up. The thing about
the Mets, the what makes them very interesting if you
wanted to go like a long shot world series futures wager,
They've they've got those weird things, you know what I mean,

(01:44:13):
Like you go back to the to the Red Sox
when they finally got off the schneide and they were
just a bunch of idiots, and the Cowboy up the
on nine Yankees with the pies in the face, the
the the Tampa Bay teams that didn't quite get done
but had the rally monkey, and the Angels had the
rally monkey. Like to have the o MG to the
Grimest Seat maybe one day. Thank miss Haley Welch for

(01:44:37):
her help. I've seen I've seen pictures where people say
she's secretly mismet. People don't know it, which I mean,
mister Met is pooky. But like they've got all the
like the stuff, and now they've got this this attitude
and they've got this mindset where they just want they
just want to play baseball. And it's there's that could
take you a very long way if they if they

(01:44:59):
mess around and tonight and they get like a couple
of nights off before they take on the Phillies. Watch out.
It might be a fun, fun series.

Speaker 3 (01:45:06):
We could see potentially what the Mets are able to
do this quickly, this fast. However, it is on rocket
speed right now for New York sports fans for the Mets,
and a little later first pitch then against the seven
thirty first pitches. Note that again, it was a five
thirty one yesterday and that brace Podres game that I
was nervous about at this point yesterday staying awake for well,
Tati smashed the ball.

Speaker 7 (01:45:25):
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 3 (01:45:26):
And the games are flying. They're about hyper speed.

Speaker 7 (01:45:30):
Mac.

Speaker 3 (01:45:30):
I remember days where you and I in the late
twenty tens would be like, well, we have no show
for sure, because we've just gone three and a half
hours and it's the seventh inning. You want to talk
about a difference in play, how much quicker these wild
card games are moving because of the new rules and
everything else that's changed in baseball.

Speaker 7 (01:45:47):
No, it's it's definitely, it's definitely a good time. It's
a good time. And that's why my play of the day.
You know, maybe some variation, you know, play around a
little less, less legs make it easier to win, you know,
Met's money line plus or something we'll sinker threaten people,
you know whatever, you know, winker, whatever the hell's name is,

(01:46:07):
He'll threaten people. It'll be great. I'm all in. I
am all in. That's the end.

Speaker 3 (01:46:12):
See now the show. We are back tomorrow. We're gonna
enjoy the Coach Frame Rock Coaches show coming up here
for the next hour of the show.

Speaker 7 (01:46:17):
I think it's funny that the program director of the
show and the station likes Syracuse Sports, and all of
a sudden, I lose an hour of my show to
Syracuse Athletics. It's interesting to me. No, no, no, I
didn't know you consult with our friend Dave mclett. Does
this elevate our brand anyway?

Speaker 35 (01:46:34):
I did.

Speaker 3 (01:46:34):
First of all, I did not sign this contract, this
contractual obligations that have been And second of all, Syracuse
I do Enjoydge. You're playing on Fridays, especially Friday nights,
and you and I are going to be enjoying that
game together. You're you're hurting us here with this contractual
obligation Thursday Friday nonsense. But I did not talk to
Damon Clett about it.

Speaker 7 (01:46:52):
Now interesting interesting, Well, you know, hey, maybe you should
maybe you should reach out and say, hey, Dave over
here at Elevator ten thousand, you know your great website
elevation ten k dot com. Would you recommend removing the
show that you advertise in for an hour to play
a coaches show that's for a team that's two hours away.

(01:47:15):
Would you is that something says something you would? Is
that how you would elevate the brand of levakangz Dave
at Elevation ten thousand, because that's Goaz has decided not
to utilize your you know, your the amazing training you
have for online to you know, the redesigning websites, the marketing,
the targeted marketing, none of those things. He said, we

(01:47:39):
should be on the air an hour less today and
that'll get it done.

Speaker 3 (01:47:43):
There are three signatures on this contract with Syracuse and
US Matt. What are the three people work here?

Speaker 7 (01:47:50):
None of them a mind. I can tell you that
right now, none of our none of over but one
place I will sign with and I do enjoy very much,
whether be apparel, marketing, any of the things are going on.
If you see elevation ten k attached to something, you're
having a good time. Elevates your brand today with Elevation
ten thousand, all right, I'm gonna, I'm gonna go ahead.
We're gonna we're gonna wash our hands, We're not gonna
touch our faces. Fran Brown is coming up next Slavagon. Guys,

(01:48:16):
we'll talk to you tomorrow live for Mohawk Chevril I.
You just talk back to twelve of the Northway right
here on Fox Sports Radio ninety five nine to ninety eighty, guys,
go ahead, hit the button. Let Fran take over.
