Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's time for the Top four four with Lovak and guys.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
Out of the ball. Biggest stories in the world of spots.
Speaker 3 (00:08):
It's rowdy, bogus friends at Mohawk and they always got
it the way to please you.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
Guys. What's the biggest story.
Speaker 4 (00:14):
Let's dive into it here. We've got a firing in
the NFL. The New Orleans Saints have fired their head
coach Dennis Allen. Levac, you mentioned this in the CDTA
Kickstarter if you missed it, Apple Spotify of the iHeart
app and it is up now. Dennis Allen fired. He
is now the second coach of this season to be fired,
joining Robert Solid the New York Jets just two seasons
with the Saints. Slovak, you think the Saints are making
(00:35):
the right decision firing Dennis Allen midseason?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Yeah, I think so. That was a That was a
really bad loss. That was a terrible outing.
Speaker 3 (00:42):
He really hasn't done anything to warrant staying at this point,
to be perfectly honest with you, like when you when
you look at what they actually break down.
Speaker 2 (00:55):
While he was.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
Out of the open season went back to back wins.
They now they've lost seven straight he's eighteen and twenty
five in two plus seasons. There they it's just I mean,
they were scoring forty plus points in both games, and
then they just have a Mila wins sense.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
He just they gave him everything that he needed to
win repeatedly, and he didn't do it.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
If you followed this show, you might remember going into
the twenty twenty three season, the way the schedule lined
up for the Saints, they were going to be a
team that potentially could get all the way to the
super Bowl. That's how good that looked for that team
heading towards that season. Instead not the case. Instead, they
(01:45):
end up getting beat and beat and beat, and you
and I questioned, like, is Dennis Salin not fired? Like
he'd be completely blew it with his team. Even before that,
when the Saints hired Dennis Salen, if you remember that
coaching care that was like the last seat available to
got harpy like, ooh, Dennis Allen. I didn't think they'll
go that direction. And now with this team in this
(02:07):
talent gone, I cannot remember a franchise fan base quite
like what I've seen from the Saints day.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
They are on Matt Verderan.
Speaker 4 (02:16):
From SI had this, He wrote, there are people on
their hands and knees begging for the Saints to suck,
not to be good, not to be a contender. They're like, please,
we have been the word of average in the NFL.
We went from and it was heartbreak after heartb Rea
remember the Saints for a stretch there in the twenty
tens finished their season in the playoffs three different times
(02:36):
on a walk off play, the Minnesota Miracle, a game
winning kick, the Rams walk off kick. Three scenes in
a row. They end of their postseason on a walk
off play to lose. They want to suck. They're blowing
the whole thing up. I think it's a really good
move for New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
There's been a lot of tanking this year, like it's
it's it's common.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
I like the idea that two of it's in the
NFC South that way the buckets.
Speaker 3 (02:59):
Yeah yeah, but listen, you got a lot of calls
right this offseason.
Speaker 2 (03:03):
Atlanta might be my big one. That was nice.
Speaker 4 (03:07):
Look at me being a coward and not choosing how
I'm gonna do. Story number three because it's the tip
off for college basketball here in the Capitol region with.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
Both you ALBNY in Siatta tipping off. That's right. I
didn't put one ahead of the other. They're all one story.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
We love all of our children.
Speaker 4 (03:23):
You already. Basketball tips off at eight o'clock tonight. They're
on the road against the Army Black Knights Great Danes
Black Knights tip off for that season, and the Sienna
Saints men's basketball program under the.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Leadership of head coach Jerry mcnamarar.
Speaker 4 (03:35):
At home, they take on the fighting Chris Berman's the
Brown Bears. Where's our guy, Mark Barnak, He's a big
Brown graduate.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
Seven o'clock tip off for that Saints and Bears.
Speaker 4 (03:46):
Levacc, Let's do this. Brian Higgins is going to join
us later in the show. He's a college basketball insiders,
a Shaker High school graduate and host.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
Let's do this Saints in Great Danes ball for you.
Hear the top foard four.
Speaker 4 (04:01):
Does it feel like both programs are heading in the
right direction as they prep for tip off later tonight,
I'd say yes.
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Little, you know, a little little consistency out of you, Albany,
given you know, Dwayne Killing's time to get his feet
underneath them.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Even though there was some drama early. I like that.
I like what.
Speaker 3 (04:20):
I like what he's building roster wise. And then Jerry McNamara,
you know all, he's brought so much excitement to Siana
with him.
Speaker 2 (04:29):
You can't not like that. So yeah, I like what
both are doing right now.
Speaker 4 (04:34):
I will say yes as well. I think the transfer
portal is supposed to be the strength of Dowayne killings
at e Albany. You Albany has not been great in
a long time. They have not gone to the postseason.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
A long time.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
It's a great day to be a great dame.
Speaker 4 (04:48):
I wonder about if this is the make or brink
season for him that if you Albany is not good again,
do they make a change at the head coaching spot
because the lack of success in the tradition that was
being built there.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
This feels this needs to be.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
You know what, I'm gonna do this you Albny and
Sanna coming up after that conversation with Brian in the
third hour, I'll give you my takes for realistic expectations.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
How about that?
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Oh thank god I was where you weren't.
Speaker 4 (05:13):
Oh, move on a story number two and it's Syracuse
basketball tipping off tonight. Oh look at gos being the Homer. Huh,
but his squad at number two. Here's why Syracuse basketball
goes to number two because you could hear Syracuse basketball
all season long on our sister station one oh three,
one and eight ten WGY, New York's oldest radio station,
and here on Fox Sports Radio ninety five nine to ninety. Tonight,
(05:36):
the action is on our sister station WGI, with the
coverage schedule to begin at six o'clock, tip off set
for seven o'clock as Syracuse hosts the Lamoying Dolphins. Another
shout out to it AD Agency. Shout out to Aky
Matt Sames, the former Lamoying Dolphin. Lamoyne formerly a Division
two program, now Division one. But some people might remember
fifteen years ago when I made national headlines when Leamoyne
(05:58):
beat Syracuse. Vac Syracuse Lemoye. Tonight, at least tell me
you're not gonna root for Syracuse to lose again to
Lemoye and have this make national headlines again.
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Uh No, I won't do that. I will do that.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Plus I I don't know the guy. The guy you
mentioned from Lamoye, he don't talk to me anymore. So
whatever he used to talk to me don't talk to
me no more.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
I thought you guys right into each other two weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
Yeah, he was like, I was, okay.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
You guys just add back at each other.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
All right. I don't know instance he knows Syracuse gonn whoop.
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (06:35):
Here's the thing about college bass. But I'm gonna group
all three guys into this now, Syracuse. You Albany in Siena.
And if you're a college hoops fan like I am,
it is a harder sport to follow than ever before.
I know, I've said that since COVID. It's not false.
It's one hundred percent true. You're gonna flip on or
listen and you're gonna hear names you have no idea
who they are. You're gonna need about a month to
(06:56):
warm up with college hoops coming up. If you're a
college basketball fan like I am, Syracuse basketball new names,
big time recruiting class coach Autrey, the ACC fourteen point
winners tonight over lam Mooyne No. Twenty seventy five to
fifty five.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
File. Yeah. We can't bet.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Iteaking do stupid schools in New York, but you can
bet this.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
And it's story number one Monday Night football.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
It wraps up today about a pack night for me.
It's all about me. Syracuse basketball and the Buccaneers on
Monday Night. Putting the kids to bed early, thank you
daylight savings time, Olgazibar's putting the toutsies up, eating some popcorn,
tricking a cold on as this Buccaneers ticks on the
Chiefs tonight in't fifteen kickoff set? Can the Chiefs stay undefeated?
Can the Buccaneers pull off the upset? Well, those guys
(07:43):
from the seventy two Dolphins pop the champagne if the
Chiefs lose a lot of storylines Tonight's give a big
game for the Buccaneers if they want to keep their
playoff hopes live, while for the Chiefs fighting off teams
like the Buffalo Bills for potentially the top seed in
the AFC, we back a lot of storylines Tonight's Monday
night football game.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
There certainly is, and I feel like we should take
more time to discuss them.
Speaker 2 (08:05):
How do you feel about that? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (08:06):
I feel like I should have done a better transition there,
But thank you. That's your top forward for Oh, I
mean the rings could be on the line, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:14):

Speaker 4 (08:16):

So Monday Night Football coming up next right here at
Fox Sports Radio n.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
On the voice of the Capitol Regions sports fan, Fox
Sports ninety five, nine and nine eighty.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
Big night in sports.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
You get the college hoops, you know, tipping off all
all over the place, but we got Monday Night football
Super Bowl rematch, Kansas City Chiefs versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
I think this is a chance to be a really
fun game.
Speaker 3 (09:55):
I think because again, look, the Chiefs have not played
up the Chiefs football, at least offensively so far this year.
The Buccaneers, you might be the wide receiver number one tonight. Guys,
there's Kate Dotton. I think he's the number one receiver
for them tonight. Something about it tells me that this
(10:16):
is this is a better matchup than we realize on paper.
I think, I think with you know a little bit
of I think we are writing the Bucks off and
they actually can play, and they can actually play with
the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
You mentioned the Super Bowl rematch of what it was,
A lot has changed, for more so the Tampa roster
than the Kansas City roster way back then, which is
January of excuse me, February of twenty one. The biggest
key in that matchup was the defensive line. The Dean
line got all those was Tom Brady. Well, that was
(10:51):
helpful to.
Speaker 2 (10:54):
A little bit of a fall off. Brady to Baker.
Speaker 4 (10:56):
I'm just gonna talk about selective memory by me there,
huh oh yeah.
Speaker 1 (10:59):
The corner back with right, oh is he good?
Speaker 2 (11:04):
Franchise? Did he play well?
Speaker 1 (11:07):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (11:07):
Tom Brady a factor? And also the defensive line. The
reason I jumped out of the defensive line so quick
because I know Brady's not coming back. But the one thing,
in similar fashion to Brady, look at that came I'll
come together, was that that D line pressure mahomes all
day long. The Niners trying to do what the Eagles
trying to do it in pass super bowls, but the
one that had the most success was Tampa, and that
(11:28):
proved to be the difference in that Super Bowl. The
defensive line is not as good now, It's not. I
would I wish I could say it is. But can
they win the game? Just pressuring Mahomes because that's about
all they got. Because it's a good thing to have.
It's it's great, it's wonderful. The rush running game, improved
running game, for sure.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
It used to be.
Speaker 4 (11:49):
Statistically twenty twenty two and twenty three, the worst rushing
attack in the NFL was Tampa.
Speaker 2 (11:53):
Are you admitting Baker Mayfield sucks?
Speaker 1 (11:56):
No? No, no, no, I'm not doing that.
Speaker 4 (11:58):
I admitting that Baker Mayfield's gonna have some issues tonight
because injuries plus an improved running attack, plus Andy Reid.
There's a lot of in the line. Like if that
line was sitting at six and a half, I'd feel
better about Tampa nine, nine and a half, ten, what's
that thing gonna close at by nine? I've seen Tampa
(12:21):
now have markeee games. This is their third one. They
had a Thursday night Amazon game. They had a Monday
night football game. I believe it was a Sunday night game,
maybe two Monday nights. That they had a chance against Baltimore.
The injury happens. They had a chance against Atlanta, they
can't finish the game. This is primetime game number three
after winning a playoff game in last season's postseason. This
(12:43):
is massive for them because if they get to four
and five. Ugh, here's what I said on Sunday shell back.
It feels like the Chiefs find a way to win
in Tampa covers. But that's not gonna do anything for
me as a fan. I want Tampa to win, but
I'm struggling.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Tampa goes out there, plays just top notchge football but
gets edged out by the only undefeated team left in
the NFL.
Speaker 2 (13:07):
That doesn't make you feel a little better.
Speaker 1 (13:09):
I don't know what I'm gonna do with that at
this point.
Speaker 4 (13:11):
Yeah, I get what you're saying, like the moral victory,
they're in the mix, they're not too far off.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
But here's what's happened in the NFC.
Speaker 4 (13:17):
Now, let's say Tampa drops this game, which they're an
underdog for almost a double digit underdog for Okay, so
they're gonna go to four and five.
Speaker 2 (13:24):
Hold on, yeah, let me help you.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
All right, Let's say you lose this game, you're four
and five, right, then you're home for the Niners. Let's
say you lose that game, just for argument's sake, you're
four and six. Then you're at the Giants, at the Panthers,
play the Raiders, at the Chargers, I mean yeah, at
the Chargers, at the Cowboys host the Panthers host the Saints.
(13:47):
You could run the table after these next two games.
Who scares you? The Chargers, Cowboys don't have DAK, Raiders suck,
Giants suck. Panthers suck, say suck?
Speaker 2 (14:01):
What are you?
Speaker 1 (14:02):
Eleven and six? As possible it is.
Speaker 2 (14:04):
You win one of the next two games, you're a
twelve win team.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
Gosh, if they can run the table and do that,
I would be thrilled. They're probably gonna be favored in
all those games.
Speaker 1 (14:13):
To listen off.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
Here's why I'm struggling with Tampa's potential season path because
if they get to four and five, because of how
this NFC looks, they're two games back of a playoff
spot that includes their own division leader, right now in Atlanta,
and Atlanta has the tiebreaker. I can't make an argument
that right now, even though they played some of these
teams right now, they're better than any of the playoff teams.
(14:35):
They should include Lions, Commanders, Falcons, Cardinals, Vikings, Eagles, Packers.
I know they beat the Commanders. They beat the Lions
two games back. Gosh, if this could ruin my holidays,
imagine if Tampa's in the mix around Christmas time, they're
run five in a row.
Speaker 2 (14:50):
What's the holiday? All right?
Speaker 4 (14:54):
I'll play Oh, no, you know what I can I
ask you this question now, it's made me feel better.
Let's see if you want to answer it. What's more
likely to happen. Tampa goes to four and six and
rattles off seven wins in a row and goes to
eleven and six and gets in the postseason. Or Kansas
City wins eight in a row. I go seventeen and oh,
(15:15):
they're not.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
Going seventeen to Oh that's the less likely.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
Or ten in a row because ten plus seven seventeen
not eight.
Speaker 3 (15:20):
But all right, here, here's here's the situation. All right,
So we just did we did your we did your team.
Kansas City seven and zero Buccaneers Broncos at Bills. That's
a game. You think they're gonna be able to go
(15:41):
undefeated with the Bills, then the rout the Panthers, Raiders, Chargers, Crowns, Texans, Steelers, Broncos,
the Bill. If if you don't beat them, it's the
Broncos and the Bills are like our only hope will
be won. So I can't I think this is I
think this has the makings of a good football game.
I think Tampa can play with them. They can ug
(16:02):
the game up. They can they can you know, beat
off of whatever it is that has Mahomes not playing
superstar football.
Speaker 2 (16:09):
Why can't they Why can't they win this game? Why
can't they be in this game?
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Come on, Tampa, Levack is hyping you up. Why not Tampa?
Why not?
Speaker 2 (16:17):
What?
Speaker 1 (16:20):
Baker?
Speaker 4 (16:20):
You got this? You've heard from the haters. You played
good when people are hating on you. This can be
you tonight. Just don't throw the ball on the other teams.
You have the problem chest in the goal line.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
Yep. The problem is the name that you haven't said yet.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Mike Evans, Steve Spagola.
Speaker 3 (16:35):
If you're telling me it's a battle of wits between
Steve Spagnola and Baker Mayfield. Baker Mayfield is not is unarmed.
He's walking with this with empty hands.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
You know what I don't want to have happened, Yes, exactly,
Stagnola could be I believe Dick lebau is the most
recent coordinator who went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Spagnola's going to have a real shot to be inducted
in the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a coordinator
because of what he's done here with the Chiefs, what
he did in the past with the Giants. He has
that type of resume. Now that he's building Chris Jones
(17:06):
up front.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
That frightens me.
Speaker 4 (17:08):
There's some young offensive lineman for the Buccaneers who might
find out about Chris Jones tonight.
Speaker 1 (17:14):
Here's what I don't want to have happened.
Speaker 4 (17:15):
Even though my official pick for the show is Tampa
covers Kansaity wins. What I don't want to have happened
is another heartbreak for me. But Tampa again against a
really good team, ass to the lead and it feels
like this is Tampa's game in Kansas City, like they've
done so often. Mahomes' ten years. The quarterback is they
rally in the second half, they put up points fast,
(17:36):
and they win by like three on a game winning
field goal or seven with a late fourth quarter score.
And we come back on Tuesday show and whether it's
Bills fans or Raider fans like you or how Buccaneer fans,
because it could have happened to me tonight, come back
and say Kansas City stinks, Kansas City's overrated. Kansas City
even though they'd be eight to known a two time
defending Super Bowl champion if they barely beat Tampa tonight,
(18:00):
that narrative does not get washed away by that team.
Speaker 3 (18:04):
You can run the ball, though, right, I mean, like
that's one of the things you guys can still do.
Speaker 4 (18:08):
White was really good last year. Sean Tucker a lot
of forty fours. I gotta keep that in your pocket.
By the way, I got some questions about forty four later.
Shawn Tucker, who's wearing forty four from Syracuse for Tampa,
has had a few good games. The rookie not Deuce Vaughan.
Oh my gosh, man, I'm blank on the kid from
Vanderbilt right now. Irv, thank you, Bucky Irving. Bucky Irving's
(18:30):
been really good for them. Too questionable, all right, figure
it out, get out there? How much questionable that? I
need you tonight? I need you, Bucky Irving? So yeah,
they pieced it together at the rushing intact.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
I think you're missing it. Man four and four forty
four talker wears forty four. We're talking to a dude
from QS later today. Sure you're freaking out about forty four.
What's the DU's name? Lampkin, Eddie Lampkin. Yeah, wearing forty four.
(19:01):
I'm that sing that I'm taking the box. I don't
even with the points. It's like it crazy? Why would
I not take nine points? Or I can take nine points?
What would throng with you? What are you out of
your mind?
Speaker 2 (19:14):
What?
Speaker 4 (19:15):
What if this happens? Are only people who play fantasy football?
Are only people who root against the Chiefs gonna care
about this storyline? What if Baker and kit Otten are
better tonight than Mahomes and Kelsey? Will people care about that?
I could hear, for the second reference in this hour.
I could hear Matt verde Ram saying who cares?
Speaker 1 (19:32):
Who cares?
Speaker 2 (19:33):
There? Eight?
Speaker 4 (19:33):
No, I could hear his voice in my head. But
I think some people will look at Mahomes and Kelsey
and be like, you two are supposed to be the
star of the league. You're supposed to put a big points.
You couldn't do it against Tampa. You couldn't do it
against anybody. Kelsey's got one touchdown and Mahomes that still
it more picks than touchdown passes.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
I think people wouldn't care.
Speaker 2 (19:52):
Though.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
As much as my fantasy football teams have been ruined
by those two, I don't think people would care about
the stats of Mahomes and Kelsey.
Speaker 3 (19:59):
I if they won, all right, so Tampa Bay wins,
Baker Mayfield, Kate Totten have a better night than Mahomes
and Kelsey, people won't care. That's where you go see
the stats, like, look at this, Baker Mayfield outperformed Texas
Tech quarterback who was replaced by other Texas Tech quarterback
(20:20):
outperformed each other.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Jason Kelsey's greatest tight end offensively. The scene for Kate
Toten now does him like then?
Speaker 3 (20:28):
I think you would see everybody go dive in a
little bit. But if Kansas City wins and Baker and
not and outperform Kelsey and Mahomes. You know what, you
might still Actually, there's a lot of stupid talk shows
on the four letter Network enough to talk about I could.
(20:50):
I could one hundred percent see a storyline of are
we preparing for disaster in Kansas City?
Speaker 2 (20:56):
Is the is eight no really that good? I could?
I could see a bunch of segments about them overachieving.
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Here's the worst case scenario that can happen to me
personally over the next twenty four to forty eight hours.
This is a real scenario that can play out in
my life. My two favorite teams that I root for,
the Buccaneers in Syracuse Sports Tampa can lose in a
heartbreaking fashion to the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (21:20):
Tonight.
Speaker 4 (21:21):
They can lose and that's a game winning field goal
turnover late. The Orange basketball team could get upset by
Lamoyne again.
Speaker 1 (21:30):
Some kid gets.
Speaker 4 (21:31):
Hot from Beyond the Ark and his hometown in serrausule
Mooine for those who don't know, is it based in Syracuse.
Some kid gets hot, has the game of his life.
Lamoine shocks Syracuse Basketball, so Bucks lose, Syracuse Basketball loses,
and then per and then in my professional life, this
could happen. Jim gagly Aarty, the voice the gold standard
of WGY is sick. I'm the program director of WGY
(21:54):
tomorrow's election day. For those who know that's gonna be
a long day for me. Here's what could happen, Lavac.
I could be all ready to go for election day
and the wife calls me and says she's going into
the labor and then all chaos breaks out.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
You just why are you just inviting all this bad stuff.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
I'm just telling you what the darkest timeline looks like.
This could happen in my life. All hell could break
loose in my life in the next twenty four hours.
That potential is out there, or Syracuse wins, Tampa wins,
my wife is happy and healthy and life is good.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
You should burn a sage candle or something like something.
You need something, something's not right by you. You're you're
way too negative.
Speaker 2 (22:30):
No, it's not negative. I don't like all this negativity.
Not negative.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
That's a realistic possibility. It's not you know what, It's
not gonna happen. I'm visualizing manifesting that that.
Speaker 2 (22:40):
Will not happen. Okay, all right, I don't think you
believe it.
Speaker 3 (22:45):
I don't because you just told me everything that's going
through your head, and then you pretended it wasn't going
through your head, like what like, okay, listen to me now,
but don't listen to me now. But no okay but
now no no not now now no now now.
Speaker 2 (22:59):
No now okay no no, you're out of your mind.
You're out of your mind.
Speaker 1 (23:03):
Got this, we got this, We're okay.
Speaker 3 (23:05):
Everything okay, everything, everything's okay, except for you know, for
Yankee fans and Raider fans and Saints fans. Who's the
next head coach you get fired? Do you think it is? McCarthy?
Speaker 4 (23:18):
Got me McCarthy right, Yeah, My first My first instinct
was Dave Canalis for the Panthers. He's just gonna keep
firing everybody for one year. And that's not the right answer.
But Canals is the first time.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
The greatest thing. Though.
Speaker 3 (23:31):
You're just like, hey, man, I just want to make
sure my retirements straight. Do you think i'll go to
with the Panthers. I don't know what I'm doing. They'll
hire you for a year, you get fired and get
a couple million dollars a year for four years.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
It'll be fine. You love your life, it's great. Everybody
should coach for the Panthers.
Speaker 4 (23:44):
I can see the Panthers at one point in the
next five years doing what a baseball did and basketball. Hey,
you have zero coaching experience. You've never been on the sidelines.
Let's just pick you out. Dan Morgan's gonna come down
from the booth like Popovich. You know what, You're the
GM You're now the head coach. Jeff Saturday, I remember
that that was the thing.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Yeah, remember who he beat? Raiders?
Speaker 3 (24:05):
Oh Man, all right, well, listen, I think I think
you're underselling that. I think you have a good team.
It'd be better if if Evans and God we were playing.
But you have a good team. Crelie Shephard might be
a good touchdown play tonight. Who knows.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
Oh. Speaking of which, let's do the play.
Speaker 3 (24:19):
Of the day coming up next right here on Fox
Sports Radio nine.
Speaker 2 (24:22):
And nine eighty.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
It's a vacan Goz on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
For the play of the day, brought here by Mohawks Chevrolet.
Speaker 3 (24:30):
Together, let's drive at Mawks Chevy where they always go
out of their way to please you.
Speaker 2 (24:34):
Oh dude, I forgot. I forgot to tell you when
I pulled into the parking lot. I hear a horn blaring.
Speaker 3 (24:42):
There was an accident right out on on Troy's next
to your road. Right when I got here, it looked
like a bad one man, big puffing smoke up in
the air and everything. They couldn't get the horn to stop.
I was hopefully they're okay, that was I ken't forget
to tell you that.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
I just like it. I must have just missed it,
like just missed it, So hopefully it was okay.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
I've seen people drive a little crazy with the weather
like going good and bad and good and bad, and
we just dialed back a little bit.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
You'll get where you're going.
Speaker 4 (25:08):
Everybody, family members, friends, co workers, everybody is on a
high alert.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
Everybody is a little stressed.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
I'm gonna chalk it up to the election that everybody
just drive safely, keep your mind focused.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Everyone's got a lot going on.
Speaker 4 (25:24):
This is also me saying this about five minutes removed
from me going through the craziest timelines that could happen
in my life.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
Now. I'm gonna offer you lavac helped me calm me
down during the break there. Everybody's gonna be fine.
Speaker 4 (25:35):
Everything I say you might have given me something during
the break to calm myself down.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
I don't have anything, all right, thought, those are cough drops.
That's Halloween candy, is what that was? Have cough drops,
that's all I have. I don't carry the Halloween candy
and eat it.
Speaker 2 (25:49):
That's the thing. You know, your play today?
Speaker 4 (25:52):
I have like seven plays of the day. I'm gonna
round it down to one. So, uh, if I could
have you go first, I'd prefer you go first.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (26:01):
Well, I'm gonna take your bucks last nine and a
half and then I've decided to put together a touch
a TV parlay for tonight. And I realized while I
was doing this, I could can I could I could
see Kate out and get into the end zone. I
could see Bucky Irving getting in the end zone. I
(26:24):
could see Travis Kelcey and I think xavier' worthy. It's
nice to play. So it's like, you know, I'll put
all these guys together, and if all these guys are
gonna score, probably gonna get the over.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
So put over forty five and a half in there too.
Speaker 3 (26:33):
So Kate Out and Travis Kelsey, zaver Worthy, Bucky Irving
over forty five and a half. So anytime touchdowns. Now,
here's the deal that is gonna return. That's like ninety
to one. Man like you, this is a good one.
This is this is ten bucks. Actually yeah, ten tens.
Bring it back like nine hundred bucks.
Speaker 2 (26:52):
All right.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
You're watching the buyout on this one. You're rolling with
the cash outs. What you're hoping for is two of
these guys score like quick, and then around halftime you're
taking a look and making sure like if they have
an all four scored or you don't think you get
the over, take that cash out, get the hell out,
get out, get out. But who knows, maybe we strike
lightning here, we get all of it.
Speaker 4 (27:14):
Sometimes I wonder about the fantasy. We had a guy
who came up to us on our live show from
Rivers Casino Reserre, which we are every single Sunday eleven
to one, and you flat out to this. He's like, guys,
I'm here for the props. I forget sometimes that as
much as we talk about storylines and matchups and x's
and o's and what the playoff scenarios look like and
bye weeks, that there are some players who just do
(27:36):
what you just said. Fantasy football stats numbers or props
and if they hit, they pay the same amount money.
You still agree whether you're fine off the traditional numbers
will call this over unders and spreads money line or
the fantasy prop.
Speaker 1 (27:53):
Do you you know what?
Speaker 4 (27:54):
Let me let me ask you this, because I don't
always do this. I will fully admit I'm a victim
of not doing this. How often it all when you
fire off a parlay like that, you bet those individually.
Speaker 3 (28:05):
Kind of rare because usually it's like, ye, like I
had Xavier like it yesterday, individually, I had a couple
guys individually on top of the regular because I just
it's got to be a good number, you know, plus
two hundred and better, you know, like that's where where
I'm at.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
I'm so stubborn with those because I'm so biased towards
my own fantasy team. Where let's say, for instance, like
Xavier legg It was playing against me, I wouldn't do
it even if I liked the number, because I still
have investments in my fantasy team. I'm like, maybe twenty
twenty five, I'll try to be bolder. I'll do more
fantasy plays. Okay, so here the I've rounded it down
to Levac two plays of the day here for you.
(28:41):
If you haven't been following my NBA picks, I am
a perfect five and oh I have yet to miss
an NBA play, And here are the two. My second
favorite play of the night is a late night tip
off tonight. It's the latest tip off. It's a ten
thirty Eastern tip between the Clippers and the Spurs. If
you haven't been following the story Greg pop of vich
Hatti medical emergency over the weekend. He is not scheduled
(29:04):
to be the head coach for the Spurs for this
upcoming game tonight in Inglewood. But that lines at three
and three and a half. You'd wonder, Okay, Clippers are
two and four, but they have more talent than the
Spurs this season. Spurs win loss record bise were terrible
last year. Why is that game not bigger? Especially without
their head coach. This feels like one of these games
where they play for pop and they try to get
(29:25):
the win on the road for Popovich, and then emotion
plays into the game. So give me the Spurs tonight
over the Clippers on the road. So that's my second
favorite play of the night. That'll push me to six
and zero and then I'll go seven and oh tonight
when New York the Knicks get beat by the Rockets tonight?
Speaker 2 (29:44):
WHOA, So what are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (29:47):
I don't get it.
Speaker 4 (29:48):
So the Rockets are supposed to be stinky this year.
They gambling wise, wagering wise, have been the darling of
the wager preseason pools. If you didn't know this, the
Houston raw Gets of this season are expected to had
more wins than the Lakers. You would just think on
status alone, you put the Laker number high to get
people to bite on it. But the Rockets preseason on
(30:10):
a lot of sportsbooks had more wins and losses than
the Lakers. Howgh they gonna get there? It's because they've
just had massive guys who rebound all day long, nothing
but rebounding putbacks. It feels like a bad WNBA game
at points for the Rockets. Knicks are only a point
and a half favorite against Houston. And if my memory
serves me correct, wasn't this the Houston game last winner?
(30:32):
Or Jalen Brunton hit the buzzer beater but it got
waved off because of like a toe situation or a clock.
I could have sworn there was a play last year
with Jalen Brunton and the Rockets and a buzzer beater.
Something strange like that happens again tonight. Give me Houston
over the Knicks tonight.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Man, I go Chiefs. I don't know what.
Speaker 3 (30:54):
That's just nice being the jerk. You know, you just
going against my team when I'm supporting your team.
Speaker 4 (31:00):
Messed up, dude, if you don't remember, messed up February
of twenty four. This is the one where Jalen Brunton
hit the buzzer beater and they said it was an
offensive foul.
Speaker 1 (31:11):
That scenario last year. He flew up in the air
and knocked down the shot.
Speaker 4 (31:14):
They called it offensive foul on brunts and waved it
off and Houston beat him.
Speaker 3 (31:20):
Yeah, I just again though you had the yep back
my guys, what are you doing?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
What are you doing? You know?
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Mix are good?
Speaker 2 (31:30):
And yeah, you know what, I think you hate the
next I don't hate.
Speaker 1 (31:34):
I don't hate you hate.
Speaker 2 (31:35):
The next because we could have been a next station.
You didn't do that.
Speaker 3 (31:40):
I picked your Buccaneers tonight over the Chiefs, and now
you pick against the next like I think you're a
nick cater.
Speaker 1 (31:45):
There were so many opportunities throughout the show.
Speaker 4 (31:48):
Levac could have gone against me, Levec could have picked
against the Bucks. I gave him it right over the
plate too, to take Moyne tonight over Syracuse.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
But no, I'm going with you the whole time.
Speaker 4 (31:59):
And then here I go my favorite play of the
entire night. I told you I had seven NBA games
I was gonna fire off.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
What do I pick? Is my number one.
Speaker 1 (32:08):
Rockets overnights?
Speaker 2 (32:09):
Yeah? That's because you're a bad person. That's all there
is to it. You're just a bad person.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
I think that one's hitting two, it's gonna hit late.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
What's the spread?
Speaker 1 (32:20):
And that one again?
Speaker 2 (32:21):
What are we doing here?
Speaker 1 (32:22):
One and a half?
Speaker 3 (32:23):
Yeah, give me the next. Add the next to my sheet, Adam,
and I don't. I don't need to cock coffer you.
Speaker 4 (32:29):
Could this be the Could this be the first basketball
beer bet we have with each other?
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yeah? That was definitely.
Speaker 4 (32:35):
When did we even say this on the air. I
know we had it in conversation between you and I.
I take some of you on Saturday and said, if
this hits, I'm buying the first round at Rivers. And
then I hedged my own parlay bet and said, okay,
I'll buy one drink if three of these four hits.
And it did, and then the bartender ignored me.
Speaker 3 (32:56):
That was hysterical, Like that was one of my favorite
things of the entire week because it was the the
guy setting the bar up and guys kept walking up.
So like you if you haven't been to Van Slicks
inside Rivers, it's it's like a big rectangle the bar.
So the guy would be in the you know, southeast corner.
Guys would go over the southeast corner, but he would
(33:18):
stand back a little bit relaxedly, just want to be pushy.
The guy would take off for the northwest corner, so
guys would then move over close to the northwest corner.
The guy would then turn around, never see guys go
back over the other and I'm just sitting there like
this is like it was. It was almost like palm.
It was like you were actually creating like a nurse
(33:38):
show where he went. We would get pushed away. And
then the the female bartender who always wears football jerseys,
she's like she's no nonsense man, she smiles, you gets
to your drinks, she don't play around. Guy's like, hey,
you see that. She ignores him completely hands him his
drinks and walks away.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
I was dying. I was absolutely dying.
Speaker 4 (33:58):
I know I didn't do anything to them, like I didn't.
We haven't caused such a ruckuss where.
Speaker 1 (34:03):
They're like, oh no, those two fox bearded guys again.
I don't think it's the case. I hope not.
Speaker 4 (34:11):
But yeah, that was ridding me my time in college again, sir,
I just got Hello.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
You been trying to get dude's attentions, always trying.
Speaker 4 (34:22):
To you know, if you're going to the college bar
on a Friday or Saturday night, they're not going to
the guy. They're going every girl at that bar first.
Then they're gonna circle back again. See any girls at
the bo. You're gonna be very lucky. If you're a
guy getting a drink at a college bar and a
Friday or Saturday night, you.
Speaker 1 (34:35):
Gotta know that going in. It's true.
Speaker 4 (34:39):
There I am a couple of deep sweating. If you
were a bar, if you were a bar tender, you're
not coming over to me for a while. You're always Yeah,
you look like you look nervous. Why are I didn't
know what was going on. I didn't know what was happening.
Speaker 3 (34:54):
It was funny we both won in fancy versus realities week,
so we're both kind of a heater all of us.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
Baby, not just winning Levac. How about an uh undefeated week?
Speaker 1 (35:04):
You went undefeated?
Speaker 2 (35:05):
That that covered lost?
Speaker 1 (35:06):
Oh that didn't cover at the end the packers.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 1 (35:09):
So combined we went six one in one.
Speaker 2 (35:13):
Yeah, show ye and yep the stank. The stank was
strong this week.
Speaker 3 (35:18):
My friend not strong enough to save me in in
Green Bay, but the stank was strong this week.
Speaker 2 (35:24):
So I'm not mad man.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
I'll go three and I'll go three end two end
as well as as long as I win more than
I lose.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
Is that the new method for the rest of the season.
Nothing but stank.
Speaker 2 (35:33):
I'm looking for the stank. I'm just sniffing, sniffing, looking
for stank. That's that's it's, it's it's gonna be. It's
gonna get stanky.
Speaker 4 (35:40):
Up in Jeah quit in cancer. When you see them
on Thursday, are gonna be so confused. You know, they're
gonna want to talk about the election the whole time.
They're gonna be like, no, no, I'm here for the stank.
I'm here for stank enough, but stank.
Speaker 3 (35:49):
Pendefon what color you wear blue or red. There might
be plenty of stank in that for you as well. Uh,
you know what's not stanky, it's amazing. Mohawks. Yeah, I
love Mohawks, Shabby, I love. I love the people at Mohawks.
Chevy is the Mohawks family. You know when you go
in there and you see the GM, you know Travis Horne,
you see the assistant GM, Katie Duncan you see everybody's there.
(36:11):
They're all trying to help you like you're part of
the team, You're part of the family. They want the
number of times I've heard Katie say, we want people
in vehicles they love. We want people to get that vehicle.
We want to take care of them. We alleviate the
stress and thinking you can't afford it. That's what they're
working through. They have a big finance department, delivery team,
it's all there for I love the delivery team. I
(36:32):
sat there the one day, was it you sed at
it where I'm like, yeah, this room right here is
great because I'll walk you through everything on your new vehicle,
and you're like, oh, that's why I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:40):
I didn't pay attention like I love it. They'll sit there,
they walking the whole thing. It's it's amazing. They've got
your back all the way through.
Speaker 3 (36:49):
And now at Mohawks Chevrolet, besides the amazing show, the dealership,
it's okay, it's amazing. It's fine, fantastic, it's it's so good.
I'm like, you know, they're like, well, what if we
had some gods to like, don't ruin it. It's perfect
the way it is. On top of all of that,
you also get this amazing deal. They're they're keeping it
going for a little bit. Select vehicles from carb Bravo.
(37:11):
They're gonna help you with the down payment. They were
from one hundred to five hundred dollars. That's right, your
friends at Mohawk Chevro and I are taking care of
it together. Let's drive a Mark Chevy just off Ect
twelve in the Northway in Clifton Park where they always
go out of their way to please you. Third hour
coming up. Levac and guys live in the GT Toy Studios.
Speaker 2 (37:29):
Toys with the Z. It's Fox Sports Radio ninety five
