Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ninety nine eight am Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
Live of the GT Toys the studio that's Toys with
a Z and is levat guz. The the world is
still spinning. Everything's okay, every thing's all right. Everybody calm down,
Just calm down. We relaxed. I mean, I mean that
was the Internet today, that was the Internet last night.
(00:29):
That the Internet today. The end is nigh, but it's
not Donald Trump. We gotta talk election real quick. And
I dare I say this is probably the most sports
adjacent presidential election I can recall. It didn't involve an
actual like athlete running for office, like when he comes out,
when Trump comes out last night, it was like two something,
(00:50):
and he's got Dana White with him. And then you
know the fact that Jets fan is praying that he
puts Whatdy Johnson back in an ambassador role. You know,
it's very sport presidential election.
Speaker 3 (01:02):
We're on Fox Sports now, we used to work for ESPN.
We don't have to uh not talk about an act
like politics don't exist. Like it's almost disingenuine to you
listening to his audience.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Pic uh a, what an election affecting athletes, coaches? People
in our lives was decided. What we gotta get back
in here and gos has got a fire off hot takes.
Speaker 3 (01:25):
Yeah, it would be. We won't we won't be three
hours of the election. But it's too address.
Speaker 2 (01:30):
We're doing now. We'll do it once. We do it now,
I think the most. The two things I've noticed almost
instantly is one my four to one K. My stockholdings
have all gone way up, way up. So I'm okay
right now. I'm good. I don't know what else happens,
but that's that makes me happy too. Man. Civil wars
in households, like people just freaking out of each other
(01:53):
over who voted for who and whatever. Buddy, everybody, I
don't care you voted for. We gotta get along now
now I get you long. My favorite anecdote saying about
freaking out over the president of the day after the
election is actively rooting against the president of the United
States when you live in the United States is the
(02:16):
same as actively rooting against the pilot of a plane
that you're in over the Atlantic. Like if he fails,
we all fail root for him for a while, like
it is what it is. He won, he won handily.
Speaker 3 (02:28):
I'll use a sports comparison for the twenty twenty four
election too. When it comes to the NFL Draft, the
NFL Draft, now on a one calendar year, from January
to December, is the most hyped event, not a game.
The most hyped event, not practice, is the NFL Draft
and what happens every single year, and remember this one,
(02:50):
it comes around in April of twenty five. I'm sure Lavac,
one of us, you mean, somebody you listening might say
to you, this is the most exciting draft of all time.
I've never seen a draft like this before. Anything can happen.
I don't know who's gonna go where, I don't know
what team's gonna pick, the all those things we say
every year about the NFL Draft and Ulsia dors Sanders.
Speaker 2 (03:10):
He's gonna be the most polarizing player. Do you love him?
Speaker 3 (03:12):
Do you hate There are a lot of comparisons to
that to the presidential election of twenty twenty four. But
here's the thing I'll say about both of them. They're
so wrong. The bolsters, the experts, the people. There are
people who will sit on this for three years or
two years and told us we wouldn't know for two weeks.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
We wouldn't know for a month. You're all wrong.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
You are wrong in twenty twenty, you are wrong in
twenty sixteen. How we can go back farther to eight
that the hype around it. I wonder if I've convinced
myself and we've all been convinced of they're just gonna
tell us traditional media, legacy media, non traditional media, whoever
you want to blame today.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
You can't miss. Here's gonna be NonStop action.
Speaker 3 (03:52):
This was like an NFL draft hype for months and
it was nowhere close to the close. Can't miss, can't
take your eyes off. And actually, like we were told,
it was going to be the hardest.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Thing is going to be for like the winning side,
show low Grace. Just show low Grace. Let everybody get
through their screaming and it'll be over and we have
to move forward, everybody. I have a lot of future wagers.
We need to make it too. It's it was, it was.
It was a weird night, like trying to keep up
(04:25):
with what was happening, like the hardest thing for me.
And again, I have a sports brain. I pay attention,
like like if there's a football game on Sunday afternoon
and it's on Fox. Okay. I can tune from Fox
to CBS to NFL networks and it's the same score everywhere.
(04:45):
Last night I half my night, you know, so I
was texting you. I was texting Boston, Dan, everybody else.
All Right. Fox says it's this, CNN says it's this,
MSNBC says it's everybody had a different number of electoral
votes to each candidate. I it was. It was insane.
It was crazy to the point where I think they
(05:07):
said Harris is gonna make her concession speech soon. At first,
I was like, dude, I don't blame her for'm not
talking to anybody last night. I think she should have
talked to her supporters. I think she should have even
if she didn't concede, just said hey, everybody buckle in whatever.
But like what a Fox News was the fastest to
(05:27):
give off states to either candidate, and it didn't bite
them this year, bit them four years ago. Right, there's
a couple of times they gave out states to think back.
They didn't. Everybody ended up with like the same states eventually,
but Fox did give them out first. I'm like watching
Fox going I'm waiting for the give back that's what
I'm waiting for. I'm waiting for the fumble. I'm waiting
for the turnover didn't end up happening, But I don't.
(05:50):
I just hope that we can just chill out. I
really just hope we can, just because I'm watching, Like
there's people I love who are very excited about the
outcome of the election. There's people I love who are
they think the world just ended, And I'm just like, guys,
I'm in the middle over here, like, I don't. I
don't like it. I don't think anybody liked him as
I don't think aybody likes Donald Trump's a person like right,
(06:12):
I mean, I think like I mean, if you met him,
he would probably win you over. He's probably very charismatic
in a weird way.
Speaker 3 (06:17):
There was a time where I grew up and I
know your old co host used to say this way
back in the day. Army used to say, back in
the day, people used to vote for the president of
the guy you'd most likely want to sit down and
have a beer with. Yeah, Trump is No one said
that in the years. No one's never said that about it.
Speaker 2 (06:31):
Based on this election, I'd quit drinking like I would.
I don't want to hang out with either one of
these two. But you know, you had to sit down
and you had to pick what made sense to you,
and you had to vote based on that, and then
when it's over, when the voting's over, that sadly, the
part of this is taking the taking the results and
(06:55):
doing what you can do to make the world a
better place.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
On your het, well, go back, what more time for me?
The NFL Draft comparison. Our team was on the clock.
You had an idea of what you would have liked
your team to do. For some of you, they made
the perfect pick. For others, you hate the pick. Are
you going to continue to support your team? Are you
gonna yell and scream and then get over it and
then go back to supporting your team? Are you gonna
leave the country and never watch the sport again? A
(07:18):
lot of you are saying a lot of wild things today.
But back to the NFL Draft comparison. And I know
it's almost weak to do it into the sports, but
this is a sports show. No one else will do
it like this. Now you make your decision. Are you
going to complain or are you going to follow it?
Because I don't know, I knew today would be like today,
But let's make this just today.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
I don't need next Thursday.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
People still complain and all social I know I'll get
it again in January twenty five when changes start to happen.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
But today was about as.
Speaker 3 (07:47):
Loud on social loud in the office loud whereffort. I'm
sure you listening, probably the same thing in your workplace today.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
I got friends who are never going to speak to
each other again because of this election. Why why That's
what I'm saying, Like, I don't like it's nothing, it's
you both did your part, you made your vote, you
spent I heard you for months trying to convince each
other to vote the way you wanted the other one
to vote, and you both voted the way you wanted
(08:14):
to vote, which is this way this is supposed to work.
We debate, we discuss, we teach, we learn, then we
vote and then we accept the what happens. And I know,
like it's kind of funny to say accept what happens,
consider the fact that four years ago that didn't really happen,
But like it's it is what it is like at
this point. Now we now you can act locally to
(08:37):
make the world a better play.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
It's the most ignorant, short sighted way for people to think, Hey,
you don't agree with every single thing that I agree with,
so I don't like you anymore. What Like, I just
maybe it's a maturity, Maybe it's the generation I grew
up in. But I just can't imagine whether it's religion.
If you told somebody I don't like you because you're Catholic,
I don't like you because you're Jewish, that's like saying
(09:01):
I don't like the way you voted, I don't like
the Raiders, I don't like the.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Buck just out loud.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
I feel uncomfortable even saying, because it's like it should
never be ways in which people think about other people.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
But you've experienced it today well. And also I think
we're at a point now where all everybody's charged up. Everybody,
the public was weaponized in this in the last eight years,
ten years, fifteen years, whatever. Now, don't be used. The
world is the world right now, look at it, live
(09:33):
in it, experience it, and live by your experience. And again,
if you can do something to make the world a
better place, do that. That would be a good way
to get moved forward. But like the only way that
we're ever going to bridge this weird gap that we've
built that is literally causing best friends to never talk
to each other again, or at least say that's what's
gonna happen and storm off, is if we actually like
(09:55):
talk to each other, like that's one of my I
don't who is the athlete? One of the athletes just
said it like if the world was it mahomes, if
the world was like a locker room, it would be
a better place. Because terrible, terrible, terrible things can said
locker rooms. But you know what's dealt with, it's learned from,
move on from, or it's embraced and learned from everybody,
(10:17):
and it becomes a thing like it's this is our
chance to kind of not dance like puppets. You know.
The world is the world at this moment. Here's your chance.
Let's just live in it. Let's be better people. Let's
forgive each other for not agreeing on every Everyone's entitle
their own opinion, you're not entitled to mine.
Speaker 3 (10:33):
I believe it was Ali that said, if my opinions
haven't changed in twenty years, I wasted twenty years in
my life. Your opinions can change from twenty twelve to
twenty sixteen to twenty twenty, twenty twenty four. That's called
evolving as a person. You can have priorities in your
life that weren't a priority ten, eight, twenty years ago
that are priority now. You can think differently. That doesn't
(10:54):
make you a bad person. And just because someone disagrees
with you doesn't mean you need to be defensive. Just
because someone's disagreeing with you doesn't mean their answer is
one hundred percent wrong and you're one hundred percent right now.
I hope that doesn't fall on deaf ears. There might
be some people.
Speaker 2 (11:09):
Are like, oh god, these two but but hopefully some
of that does ring true to somebody today.
Speaker 3 (11:17):
Okay, you know what those two guys feel the same
way I do, and maybe I can express that to
some other people in my family. And I voted for
I don't do it Jane Albany last week.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I mean, he surmises you can surmise whatever you want.
Remember that used to have me all the time. I
would get that. I would get in like one week,
I would get it like oh, you're clearly a big trumper,
and then like an hour later, someone else would be
like stupid liberal like, I can't be both, can I?
Is that a thing? We know who you're voting for?
Disney boy, right, what I'd be able for Disney? My
(11:56):
four K went up. I'm happy so far. Uh, listen,
it's just I guess the end of the day is,
let's just have some fun. Let's let's talk sports. Lets
have some fun. He's there now, well, he will be
in you know, a month or so, and then we
move forward. But don't hate each other over who you
voted for.
Speaker 3 (12:15):
All of us together, can all ask the simple question
who did Corey and Greenwich vote for? And then we
can all yell and scream at him. We tried getting
out of him yesterday. We'll leave you too afraid to
call in today to confess to the nation who Corey
and Greenwich voted for?
Speaker 2 (12:31):
That he wrote in something. Yeah, he just wrote his name.
He wrote his name. Yeah, it's funny when you said
the uh like the draft, like who you like? Whatever?
I couldn't help myself. I instantly went to Tagathon for
the endf because they they're just consistently doing the NFL
mock drafts. I literally, like my brain wouldn't allow me
(12:54):
to not do it like just consistently, like I had
to go to the tagathon. If Tankathon is right, would
this be the first time in the history of the
NFL Draft that two players from the University of Colorado
would go in the top five? Ooh, it's gotta be right.
Rashad Salaam, I could have sworn it was a number
one pick, Tim Biakovituka or Shot Salama. I might be
(13:17):
missing on one of those two Michigan.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yeah, that's why I'm getting is there both in the
mid to early nineties. I thought Rashat Salamo on the
Heinsman in ninety four, I could have sworn here.
Speaker 2 (13:27):
So you picked though, I bet? Yeah? But two number five,
two of the top five, Cordell Stewart didn't go that high. No,
they wouldn't. There's no way it could be two in
the time, this has got Travis Hunter going one to
the Pats, and then it's got Shidor Sanders going five
to the to the Browns. Who I think that's very plausible.
That could happen. Absolutely. The only thing that scares me
is they've got the Raiders taking cam Ward six. If
(13:49):
shid Or Sanders is on the board, kill the pick
before the Raiders. I may pee my pants. I may
Everything I just said about accepting and forgiveness would go
right out the window. I don't want him. I don't
want to. Did we get a.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Phone call as a producer like, oh no, no, no,
it was a it was a sports call. They asked
about a certain topic that I don't want to dance
about a local team, so I don't want to feel
like the local team is gonna get hate.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
And the response to that like, Hey, are you guys
gonna talk about this team today? Yes? Probably maybe there
you go. I don't know. I don't know what team
they said, So yeah, So here we are, and look,
let's just talk at can we always get along? We
have some really cool stuff. Come at five o'clock hour.
(14:34):
Speaking of just making the world a better place. Acting locally,
we're going to talk to Assistant Chief of Colony Village
Fire Department, Chris van Buskirk. There is an amazing event
going on Saturday that you can be a part of.
See the world moves forward. We make it a better place.

it a better place.
Speaker 3 (14:55):

hour as well, right, big lock coming up. Maybe at
some point in this hour we might have another opportunity
for something specially coming later this month in the Capital Region.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
I mean, I agree, I agree with everything you just said.
Look at us, Look at us getting along. You're not
even in all blue today. Look at you here?
Speaker 4 (15:15):
Were here?
Speaker 2 (15:15):
How late were you here last night?
Speaker 3 (15:17):
I was here till eleven, and then I went back
and was up till one on the guy side, and
then I woke up at four and I got a
lot of pizza though, thank you to p Sons.
Speaker 2 (15:30):
Those carbs were pushing through what I got a little
aggressive on the pizza list. Yeah, it's all right, I
mean you were it's a holiday, basically, it's the election,
all right. Coming up. GM Winter meetings are going on.

MLB meetings, NFL is playing. U MLB meetings are going
on right about now. A couple of things that that
Brian Cashman was quoted.
Speaker 3 (21:09):
Wait a second, this was in the winter meetings. It's
not the hot stove yet, I don't is it?
Speaker 2 (21:15):
Yeah, no, it must be because usually what last year
didn't know signed one on December eleventh.
Speaker 15 (21:22):
That I would consider that the winner. Yeah, early, well
with global warming. Oh sorry, I'm just starting.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
November hangouts they're calling them.
Speaker 2 (21:38):
So Cashman was asked a couple of things. Does he
support Boone? He came out pretty heavily in supported Boone.
So for everybody looking for that major change the New
York Yankees, it would have it would appear as though
you're getting Cashman and Boom back for another year. You
just went to the World Series. It's not the worst
thing in the world. But I can understand like want
(22:00):
and change because it just hasn't. It hasn't. You just
got we just got stomped out. But like Cashman said,
a couple like a couple of different things, He's they're
definitely in the conversation for Juan Soto, he said, uh,
he really appreciated Glaber Torres, which he went on to
say that Torres is gonna search the market and then
(22:23):
we could end up back together. But basically Glaver's out.
It's over for Glabor. We know you're chasing Sodo. But
then he was also asked if he had talked to
Scott Boris about another client, Peter Alonzo, to which he said, yeah,
we know, we've had that conversation. Do you think Peter
Alonzo could become one of the New York Yankees? And
(22:49):
if so, does that make an even bigger rivalry between
the Yankees the Mets?
Speaker 3 (22:52):
Yes, and yes, Peter Alonzo's future with the Mets. I've
always wondered this back to twenty twenty two, and heated
twenty twenty three. Did he have issues with the organization?
Did he not like how he escaped, goaded in the media,
whether or not the new contract never came. And if
(23:12):
you work for a certain employer or a certain place,
do you feel like you've been good enough? Why doesn't
that employer give you what you want? Some people feel
like there's a sense of freedom to all right, And
I don't work here anymore. I'm gonna see how good
I am. I want to see if other companies or
businesses appreciate my skills because this opportunity at my former
employer was never given to me. I don't know how
hard feelings work with certain people, whether they're athletes, coaches,
(23:34):
whatever it might be. You never know what Alonzo's thinking
of what it comes at. Should the Yankees be in
the mix for a Lonzo? Yes, would they consider him absolutely?
If they're willing to chalk up the money and say,
Alonzo's the difference for us and we can pay him
and find the money one hundred percent, they should pursue them.
And if they steal a Lonzo away from the Mets,
(23:55):
that is more civil rivalry.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
It feels a little inflammatory, Avaturi. Yeah, the Mets had
a chance they gave, you know, they could have. They
could have, they could have signed him a while ago.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Canoe's Cano felt like more mariners, right because it was
Yankees mariners than Mets.
Speaker 2 (24:10):
Yankee fan. Yankee fan didn't feel paid a ridiculous amount. Yeah,
and Cano at that point for the Mets, I feel
like it was coming off that peak the suspension too,
and he was he was the throw it. They wanted
Edwin Diaz. To get Edwin Diaz, you had to take
what was left of Robinson Cano. Any other big time
Yankee men. Curtis Granderson was a big one that went
(24:32):
back mc Granderson was met to Yankee. Yankee met Yankee
to met Okay, Yeah, the grandy Man cat. There's been
a lot, I mean Strawberry good and I mean there's
been There's been a lot that have that have that
have worn both uniforms, but this would be the most like,
(24:55):
like at this this is the moment in time where
it feels like if Mets fan had is their way,
and especially with the inflammatory comments by the Dodgers, by
Joe Kelly, where it's like, oh, the Mets are actually
better than Yankees. Mets fans sitting over here like they're
starting a little puffy. They're getting a little puffy. You know,
we got our guy, Leon. He comes every Sunday to
Rivers right before we start the Rivers show at eleven o'clock.
(25:19):
Leon die Hard Mets fan, Hey, Yankees did really well
in the World's like he comes out, he throws a
little shade wearing a white Sox hat. This week, what
that means. But like Mets fans get a little puffy,
got Lou over Caginos a little puffy. They're starting to
feel like they're they're on our you know, they're they're
ready to throw hands with big brother.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Leon's move is to kiss up to the other station
and then sault us. Maybe he's some type of mole
working for other people. I'm on Leon, I'm on to
you and your mole like tactics.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Leon used to actually absolutely hate my guts and I
wouldn't get a He wanted to bet shaving our logos
and the other team's logo and our in our heads
and I was like, I'm not. I don't want to
do that, Like I don't, I don't want to and
he was like offended, I didn't want to do that.
But then since then we've we've all right. But yeah,
but now he's like, you know, he's the puffy. So
I think if the Yankees were to land Alonzo, which
(26:13):
I only the only way I think the Yankee's going
get Alonzo is is one of two paths. Path one.
They didn't get soda, so they have to go out
and bolster the team in other locations to make it
work path two would be and this is where the
feelings would really get hurt. Alonsos wanting to take a
little less to be a Yankee? Ooh yeah, And I
(26:33):
don't know how likely that is. I don't think that's
very likely. But you know, if they're building something where
he's like, hey, look, I want to go win a
World Series and I think they're gonna do it, then
he goes over there for you know, nineteen million year
instead of thirty, or it's a two year deal for
you know, fifty or something like, then I could see him,
(26:54):
you know. But if they go spend six hundred and
seven hundred million dollars on one. So I don't think
they're bringing in Polarmar too.
Speaker 13 (27:02):
Is there.
Speaker 3 (27:03):
Gosh, maybe it's just because we did this mix of
New York athletes and we've seen so many transactions in
baseball heating up over the last decade plus. Is there
an athlete that took less money to be a Yankee
in most recent times? Because usually usually we see it
two different wins. Right, We see the Yankees are willing
(27:24):
to overpay, but pay at the market rate price point.
The market set the market of what a big time
free agent would be. So usually they're ahead of those
free agents because free agents find that attracted to make
more money. And there have been more recent athletes. Andrew
mcutchon's always the one that jumps out to me that
have said publicly, I don't want to play for the
(27:44):
Yankees because I don't want to cut my hair. I
don't want to play for the Yankees because there's too
much pressure. I don't want to play for the Yankees
because I want facial hair. I've heard more recently athletes
say they don't want to play for the Yankees than do.
I've seen athletes leverage the Yankees into a new college.
Patrick Corbin one of the more recent examples. I know
what you meant by your point that the New York
(28:05):
Yankees are a world two years contender year in and
year out. And if you're a veteran, you feel like
the Yankees is the best spot for you.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Maybe I would say, Mayhew, you could have tested the
market but came back. Aaron Hicks, Luis Severino, they both
did seven year, ten million dollars year deals that they
probably could have walked and got more money.
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Brian Cashman probably would have thought that Hicks Hicks eventually
walked and got nothing in free agency.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
But he walked when he wasn't. Actually both of them,
you know, you know who did it? Jeter? Yeah it
is Jeter. Jeeter's the answer. That's it. Yeah, But but no,
and like you said, that's it's also if if Penalansa
were to do that, that is a total metal finger
to city Field. That is like a hey, I'll take
(28:51):
less for these guys, you know, I mean that would
be Yeah, there's that would start a fight.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
That would I think the terms oxymoron right, Like we're
saying the Yankees would be willing to pay less. That's
just never been their mindset. That's why it's hard to
find an example.
Speaker 2 (29:04):
No, it's always their mindset. It's just it doesn't work
that way. Yeah, so I don't. I think I think
that's the only way. Like, if they lose Wan Soda,
then a lot of different things happen. But I've also,
like Casher spoke very highly the Farm System during during
these interviews so far. But there's one thing he said,
when when you think about what the Yankees do best, right,
(29:25):
it's it's home run hitting, you know, Garrett Cole, Uh,
Mainly you think, like offensive, right, Like it's yeah, how
far down the list do I have to get before
you go base running? Is that like the tenth maybe
twelfth thing you would think of? Oh yes, it's it's
barely in the top ten, Brian Cashman said, Yankees director
(29:47):
of speed Development and base running Matt Tallarico is currently
interviewing for three different MLB jobs. Quote. I think we're
considered one of the best in the business with our
base running program, Brian, Brian cash Man, you didn't say that.
Come on, man, when you stay programmed, do you mean
(30:08):
like you have a great plan but it doesn't translate
to actual action. We're the best at this? How many
other programs are there? Is this one of these things?
All right? Well? Like, all right, guys, list the list
of things that you think I know the most about
that and then me going. A lot of people come
(30:30):
to me for diet advice. I don't know. I have
one of the best diets in the Capitol region, like twelfth, thirteenth,
fifteenth thing, like you know, hey, look, I've seen the
BAC turn down extra sour cream before, Like that might
be where and that's not true. I would never do that.
I love sower cream. But like like Yankees, base running,
(30:55):
like home run hitters, good pictures, better than average, bullpen,
decent fielding this year, decent even though it didn't pan
out well in the end. Snazzy dressers. I like a
lot of the food that they sell. And then based running,
(31:17):
and then based running. I just keep thinking of these
stupid school analogies, Like we have one of the best
crand art programs in the country, crand Art by why
just Krans. You're working on something.
Speaker 3 (31:27):
Very specific and you come out and it's, you know,
all out of the lines. Some kid drew like just
a big brown turd on it. But like, this is
one of the best programs. How many other crand based
art programs are there?
Speaker 2 (31:39):
I just can't imagine. Cause Kyle just hit me up
on on AX. He goes, I don't know if you
remember Sirling compared them to drunks on the base paths.
He did, He said, they run the bases like a
bunch of drunks.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
You know what, I take it back now, I want
to see the program. Maybe there's a few drinks.
Speaker 2 (31:57):
Is that the program? Get them? I've been saying all along.
If you're gonna put if you're gonna put a runner
on second base, and extra endings you put you put
a keg out there. Maybe that's the program.
Speaker 3 (32:06):
Maybe that's Cashman's got the office. He says, Man, I
can't wait to get back to the base running programs.
Thinks awesome. It's the best.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
Way.
Speaker 3 (32:15):
Shots shots, shots. How many other baseball teams have base
running programs? It almost feels like an insult, now that
I've said it, more and more like, Hey, you really
don't know if you know what you're doing out there.
We've got to send you to a base of running school.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
No, Dad, don't send me.
Speaker 3 (32:30):
Yep, you gotta figure out how to run a straight line?
What happens when you're in a pickle? What happens when
the coach waves his arms?
Speaker 2 (32:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (32:37):
That sounds really hard. Don't send me there, please. Mister
Cashman says that the best teacher. He just keeps yelling
at me to run.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
One of those three positions are that they're asking for.
He's interviewing for three different positions in Major League baseball?
Is it like? What is it like?
Speaker 12 (32:57):
Like?
Speaker 3 (32:57):
What is extender? He's just specialize on how to take
the best lead.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
He's get back coach he's the very he's one who
pulls Boone back into the dugout.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
He's knitting the like little hand things that the base
runners have now and they slide. Those are the positions
hand knitter for the glove lead coordinator, helmet put her
on her. He just shows guys the right way to
put a helmet on when they get on.
Speaker 2 (33:21):
He teaches them one liners to confuse the first basement
when they get there.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Watch kids, Now, what's happens. The pitcher's got on first base.
We have to put the jacket on him. Come here.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
This is the proper way to put the jacket on
a base runner. Oh man, Yeah, it's Brian Cashman coming.
He could have just said we need to improve on
that was there, But no, there was no point where
Brian Cashman said a single negative thing about the Yankees,
at least nothing that's been quoted. It's Boone's does a
(33:54):
great job. I believe he called He called Boone exceptional.
He talked to the base running in speed coach is
being interviewed for multiple positions. Uh, they've talked to Boris
and everybody about every single free agent out there. But
we appreciate what Glabor's done for us, which basically is like,
here's your hat, what's your hurry? Get out? He talked
(34:16):
highly about the farm system. He literally said, the dude
who's twenty fifth of the farm system could be our
second basement next year.
Speaker 3 (34:22):
He's done thousands of those interviews postseason, not in the postseason,
but following the season. All right, if I said anything negative,
that'll be the storyline for the next few months.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
I got this, lie, lie, lie, And that's well, that
is tough. I like angry Brian Cashman better than lying
Brian Cashman. Like angry Brian Cashman is my dog, Like
I want to hang out with Brian lying, Like lying
Brian Cashman is not interesting to me. The one who
is interesting me is the one who's like, you know, yeah,
(34:55):
we would have been here sooner if you guys had
jaded and like just screaming at people spit conas. Oh yeah,
I get him.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
I want flying Brian Cashman. Well that's coming, that's right,
a little loose thing of the loose cannon Brian Pillman Senior,
where he's actually at that base running school of getting
ripped up.
Speaker 2 (35:11):
Well, no, I mean he's gonna he scals down that
building soon, Yes, for Christmas. So yeah, that's coming. Bye,
Brian flying, Brian's coming. What about the internet is wild?
I'm sorry, I'm gonna I gotta turn my computer.
Speaker 3 (35:29):
Off, but before you do, I have to what do
you think about Otani? Do you have a take on
o'tani going on there? I know that was a baseball
topic as well. Today Torn Labram. Everybody says he's fine.
Speaker 2 (35:40):
That's what you know.
Speaker 3 (35:41):
We've talked about the Tory Labram stuff before because it
happened so often in football, where the shoulder just pops
out of the joint and he allegedly threw it back in.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
It looks like it's about a month injury, but he's
only seen seeing doctor Neil. Remember, yes, the manager of
the speed bridge for Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
Well, yeah, we have the speed bridge for Aaron Rodgers
and the Achilles. There's Toy Labram. I had it happen
ended my career, I'll put that in air quotes in college.
It could either be a six week injury, a six
month injury, a career ending injury. There's variations of what
that Torn Labraham can be for Otani, but the fact
that he has anywhere between six weeks and six months
(36:20):
to rehab. Here find out more.
Speaker 2 (36:22):
Here's my dream. This is my dream for Shohetani, the
most interesting man in Major League Baseball. He's signed with
the Dodgers through twenty thirty three, two million dollars a year.
Remember all the deferment, the huge deferment. I hope every
single offseason he has some stupid little injury like this
(36:43):
that means he can't pitch the next year, and that
they paid seven hundred million dollars for a designated hitter.
That's my dream. I don't want him to be really hurt.
That's rude. I'm not mean, but out like a little
nagging injury each year that goes, Yeah, you know what,
it's better just have fifty to fifty out there then
(37:03):
possibly hurting him really as a pitcher. We'll just let
him hit this year. That's my dream.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
Somewhere to Sean Watson, and I got a story about
him coming up about twenty minutes somewhere to Shaun Watson
and be like worst contract in sports, huh, I've.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
Sent a cigar and a half times contract and sports
throws a towel over his shoulder. Added in the massage
parlor Oh, he's out his way. It's gonna be great.
All right. Listen, I don't know about a lot of imports,
but I know that once a Honda gets here. Actually,
you know, most Hondas are made. I believe in the States.
(37:37):
Now I didn't know that. I believe most of them
made in the States. I think there was a point
where it was like Canada and Mexico. But I believe.
I think Honda is one of the top in US
manufactured vehicles.
Speaker 3 (37:47):
Now you know what I did know all of those
things thanks to our friends at Mohawk KNDA, my CRV,
my Wonderful Wife's Odyssey, so many great vehicles. I had
the conversation today someone looked at my vehicles and said,
how do you Oh, I was one of my sister
in lawson, Hey, in your CRV, don't you not have
enough room for car seats.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
I'm like, yes, I know that there might be an
upgrade on the way.
Speaker 3 (38:07):
My life is changing a little bit, mohawkan it will
help me find the ride that fits my lifestyle much.
Speaker 2 (38:12):
What do you mean what you got the minivan for
the car seats? Who's got the kids drives? The minivan?
The odyssey that you also got from Wakanda. Whoever's getting
a little downtime, a little wants to drive something little
sleeker rolls around in yours are.
Speaker 3 (38:25):
I can't say that to the sister in law, though
I want sister in laws lous. The wife agrees, I
will be ratted out immediately. I knew exactly what my
plan was. Oh oh, you didn't include the wife.
Speaker 2 (38:34):
Never mind mohawk hot.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
It can help you and your wonderful wife figure out
what's the best fit for your family and more and
maybe financially you save on a vehicle and then when
life starts to change, you get into a new vehicle.

Speaker 2 (44:41):
Five of the GT Toys doo, that's toys with a Z.
Of course, we were home for Jets football, which is
you know, we we're on a winning streak right now.
We're going streaking and I think that the good things
are ahead. The Giants are on our sister station Picks
one O six, and the Giants are favored this weekend
(45:04):
against the Carolina Panthers. They are the Oman is a
five point favorite to six and a half point favorite.
Now that's nine point thirty in Munich is when this
game is gonna happen. This would be the first time
since Week two of twenty twenty three that the Giants
(45:25):
are favored in an NFL football game. That was the
game Dale Jones. They wiped out the Cardinals. They played great.
So you go back to So it's been twenty four games,
so the Giants have been favored in a football game.
Oh gosh, big Blue fans, Giant fans. That's stat. Hurts
out loud. It's not great. Let me follow up with
(45:47):
this question. Should they be favored? Yes, and they should
play like their careers depend on it. Because Carolina Panthers
are actually the Carolina Reapers. Their two wins this year
have resulted in losses for the other teams. They've only
(46:09):
beat two teams. Okay, think about this.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Sorry that Reaper think I didn't know where you're going
with this comparison. I'm getting out of your way.
Speaker 2 (46:16):
Go ahead. They beat the Raiders. The Raiders have sense
fired their offensive coordinator, their quarterback coach, and their on
line coach. They just beat the Saints. Dennis Allen ain't
got no job now, The head coach, the staff out
the door. The Raiders were so messed up by this
(46:38):
they brought back Norv Turner to help out Norv Turner,
seventy two year old former head coach of the Raiders,
novelle Brian Dabele. You like your office, you won't keep it?
Bet win this game?
Speaker 3 (46:56):
Oh buying the term reaper you met in actual like
grim reaper? Yeah, like actual bending about.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Losing your job.
Speaker 3 (47:05):
Well, I had two things that jumped when you thought
Carolina Reaper. I thought, oh, Levak means like the pepper.
Speaker 2 (47:11):
Ye, yeah, that's why twenty it works on different levels.
Speaker 3 (47:14):
Well, I thought, Okay, the Panthers are getting hot because
mouth the winds are the Saints. And then I thought,
like when people poop out the Carolina Reaper, that's got
a hurt.
Speaker 2 (47:23):
Why why why are you gonna go right to poop?
Speaker 3 (47:25):
So that that's where I thought your mind was going, like, oh,
it's gonna hurt to take on the Carolina Reapers.
Speaker 2 (47:29):
Giant. That's there. You three different ways.
Speaker 3 (47:33):
We use the term Caroliner. That was in depth and
deep with that analogy. But I went first to the toilet.
Speaker 2 (47:38):
I can tell that you've been hanging out with your
little boys lately. You went right to the poop joke,
right to the poop joke.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
I didn't know it meant actual reaper with like the
hood over the head and the stick and not the
pepper and hot. They should be favored. They absolutely should
be favored. I think six and a half is a
perfect spot for them to be in. Bryce Young statistically
right now is floating around as a higher projected play
on offense. And before that and now, that means two things.
Either Bryce Young is actually improving in the NFL, and
(48:07):
he in a win over the Saints did look decent.
I'm gonna say his best start in the NFL, but
probably top two or three performance for Bryce Young, or
that means the Giants are going to destroy Carolina and
Bryce Young is gonna throw a lot in the second half.
Speaker 2 (48:21):
Take that for what it is. Will probably have a
better idea as we get closer to kickoff. They should
be favored. Carolina is not great, and imagine that is
the team that all they do all season long. Hey,
as long as you beat the Panthers, you're safe. Everyone
reevaluates their life after Carolina. Wouldn't laugh too much. What no, no, no,
(48:42):
December first have been Buccaneers. They'll be all right. Nobody's
getting fired from Tampa December twenty ninth to haven't been Buccaneers.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Remember my take, nobody's getting fired from Tampa Carolina as
long as they don't lose.
Speaker 2 (48:55):
Who could they really take out? Brian Dable this week
and it's the Chiefs, You're not that's not happening, Buccaneers,
Todd Bowles, Nick Sirianni of the of the Eagles, Oh,
could you imagine Levac Mike McCarthy of the Cowboys. The
Cardinals are set right now, then you guys again, and
then the Falcons at the end. So if they were,
if they were, imagine December one, they beat them. I'm sorry.
(49:18):
This weekend they beat the Giants Dable or staff members out.
Then on the first of December they beat the Buccaneers.
Balls out, the eighth, they beat the Eagles, Sirianni out,
the fifteenth, they beat the Cowboys, McCarthy out Carolina Reapers.
(49:38):
I don't think that's gonna happen, but it could you
be actually could Bulls.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
For the first time in his ten years, the Buccaneer
head coach is facing criticism. I feel like too much
people can complain about him not using timeouts against the
Lions last season and not going for two. Those are
a little stretches for the Bulls criticisms, but the McCarthy
Sirianni man back to back, Yeah, very legit because Dallas
stinks right now. Dak is hurt, Butcarthy's gone pretty long
(50:06):
without getting the results. And finally, the divisions going in
a different direction, as always evaluates pro college sports, when
the team is going in the wrong way, you've got
a way to fire somebody.
Speaker 2 (50:16):
When the team is getting worse under you, it's time
for a new voice, Sirianni, just for the sheer entertain
I hope.
Speaker 3 (50:23):
Philly's like I believe that's week twelve, So Sirianni could
be nine and two with the Eagles at that point.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
Oh, I would love Eagle fan to lose it just
because they hate him so much. They do. They lost
to Carolina Levak and Eagle fans complaining about being nine
and three. Sign me up for that game. It's just
it's just weird. So all right, So Giants in Munich,
what do you think? What do you like? Do you
(50:53):
like the g Man?
Speaker 3 (50:53):
I would take them at seven right now? So I
would wager on the Giants, Yes, I would. Why I
would wager on the Giants, and I would consider the
over for a lot of those reasons about the Bryce
Young play actually looking better and can play better in
the second half. Carolina's defense hasn't slowed down a lot
of people. It's been more time of possession. If Carolina
can actually just keep them off the field, it's been
(51:14):
a strategy for that team. Daniel Jones hasn't impressed me
all season, but Carolina is actually that bad, So I
would probably think this would be like a gosh, they
can't score twenty four seventeen, so that's a hook over,
So that's a half twenty four to seventeen game.
Speaker 2 (51:32):
Not seeing the field, I wouldn't touch the total until,
like I hear what's going on with it because again,
like it's Munich, they're not that feels not for football,
it's for football. It just I wouldn't play around with
the total. And so I actually saw the field.
Speaker 3 (51:50):
I'm gun shy because if that was my favorite play.
Week one, when the game with the Eagles and Packers
was in Brazil, I was like, oh, this is under
all day and I believe they score and I believe
it was like forty eight and a half and they
had thirty five points very quick in that game.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
I think that that was toast quick. Yeah, I don't know. Man,
a less field, more actual offense than that game. Yeah,
we it's it's it's a good week of football. You
got the get the Bengals Ravens tomorrow night, you get
the Long Day All Sunday started nine thirty with Munich.
We should do like a little October Fest over Rivers,
get there early, star pounding Beers, be a real good
(52:29):
show for eleven to one.
Speaker 3 (52:31):
We'll tell our promo team my team, I mean, Abby,
but we might need you a little sooner this week.
Speaker 2 (52:37):
I don't. We don't really need her. We see the Beers, so,
I mean, come on.
Speaker 3 (52:40):
Everybody had them doing the math of Like okay, so
early start for the Giants at nine thirty, and then
the following week someone has decided you and I are
going out there alone. We don't have we don't have
a promo team the next week something like you know what,
LEAVC and I could actually do that.
Speaker 2 (52:55):
We couldn't get there when we want, do what we want,
show up what we want. Well, you gotta be care.
We gotta make sure that of course, yeah you don't
you don't have a life of your own until until
all things are decided.
Speaker 3 (53:05):
Oh wait a second, Yeah, I gotta figure out what
else be showing up to that broadcast of the seventeenth.
Speaker 2 (53:09):
Right, if you're showing up to the broadcast on the seventeenth.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
We probably should talk about that on the year or
off the air. Wait a second, so you know we'll
do it off the here, So wait a second. I
might not be there.
Speaker 2 (53:19):
They're sending no crew. Might just be me by myself.
Oh is me just be sitting and just doing the show,
just reading, reading people's tweets. Hey, what's up? How you
guys doing. That's LIVAC live at Rivers inside Van Slicks.
I'm here for the Germany game. The fact that was

go to Rivers casino or resort every Sunday eleven to one.
You might be a cast. You could become a co host,
during the show. If Gods is to run out, I
might just be like you, you're in, let's go.
Speaker 3 (54:00):
We don't know what to expect the next two Sundays,
whether we're gonna be allowed there, how much fun we're
gonna But by the way.
Speaker 2 (54:05):
We first have a guest this week too. A lot
of chaos going on to these River shows, but a
lot of fun. Yeah, the GM of the casino might
actually have to sit down and do the show.

join us there. In the sports book, we are always
interacting with people throughout the show. If you come by,
you will be a part of the show.

will be a part of the show. It might be Hey,

how you doing. Here's what I hope it happens the
