So that's my takeaway that the nerdsdidn't have a day last night trying to
tell us who the best pitchers inbaseball were. That the Yankee offense is
better than the Oakland Athletics pitchers,even though Mason Miller, their closer,
stills throwing serious gas at one ohthree, we didn't get to see as

much of the highlight reel pitches likewe did earlier in the series. My
takeaway is that Oakland's got talent.They are not a bunch of bums.
I've heard the four eight comparison,and maybe we'll hear that later in the
show as well. They actually haveathletes on the field. But in a
game like that, maybe it's notabout numbers and dorks and war. Maybe

the Yankee offense is actually better thanwhat's Trott now out there for the Oakland
Athletics on the mound. Well,I do, I do think it's better.
I think that's why they were ableto get those four runs and hold
their ground. But I feel like, you know, I'm sure he can't

probably tell you that as bad asthat was, it was only one bad

inning that that Blackbird went on topitch five scoreless, So it's not like,
you know, it's not the samethat you can't I bet his war

an argument that there is a teamplaying better baseball in the American League than
the Yankees right now. Now,we'll eventually see that matchup. Maybe we'll

between Baltimore and New York. Butboth those teams are playing awesome. The
Orioles, again for the second time, have called up another prospect from Norfolk

not punting on the season. They'renot desperate. Justin Latti's Cleveland Guardians.

told me they're the best team inbaseball, I probably am not putting up
that much of a fight, butI'd like to put Baltimore at one in

But my orange bias would put myo's on top. Well, who

Maybe the booing woke him up.I wonder about that with Judge.

There are some players that would probablybe affected by the booing, and you're

The answer is yes, that thelack of production spark something in Judge.
The reason I hesitate on that anddon't feel strong about that is because
if that is the answer, Ifthat's the reason why, there are a
lot of athletes, maybe even morethan fifty percent of athletes that if they

were to ask that question in aNew York post game, they would give
you a sound bite that would makeheadlines twenty twenty four. Athletes would be
like, yeah, and it tickedme off. I can't believe our home
fans would boot was like that.You guys gave up on me, you

and we've heard tons of athletes acrosssports that it would be our lead of

I don't know if Aaron Judge isgoing to give a headline answer about the
fans booing him. I would befairly confident to say he won't. I
wish he would. It would makemy answer very easy to do right now.
So that's why I struggle with that. I think I feel like most
athletes are motivated by poor play andthey want to improve, So all say

yes, But the actual booing howmuch did it personally affect Judge? I
don't think I'll ever know the answerto that question unless he breaks his character

so solid, such a strong partof the roster, if not the strongest
part of the roster. That watchinghim struggle and watching Soto be good and

let's just give him back his word. It felt like they pressured and

crunched the public opinion and they wantedthe Heisman to be cool. They're like,
no, no, no, wedon't want to be a weird guy.
We don't want people to say howawful this. Let's just this is
hurting our brand in business. Let'sjust give the guy his trophy back.
That's that's how I feel about it. And I'm very honored and privileged to
vote for the Heisman. And I'mhoping not to take off anybody because I'd
like to stay out. But itfeels like they're just like, hey,

you guys are being mean. Wehear it, we hear it. We
want to make everybody happy. Here'syour trophy back. It's they did the
right thing, guys. This isthe right thing. It was, as
they put it, the formal reinstatementof the trophy because of quote enormous changes

like they needed to take the trophyeven though it made no sense to me.

mentioned, the Heisman committee is verydifferent from the NCAA. But I would

me selfishly a Heisman Trophy voter inthe Capital region going on year ten,
which is remarkable to say, I'msuper proud of that, is that if

the Heisman Trophy is willing to makechange that reflect the future in a better
interest for the trophy and all thoseother things, I wouldn't be shocked if
they changed the voting. And whatI mean by that is like, right
now, a lot of people votefor the Heisman, I believe at last
count, and I'm not even jokingwhen I give the number. I believe
eight hundred and sixty people vote forthe Heisman Trophy, which sounds like an

outrageous number, and maybe it isout loud I'm thinking about it. But
there's representatives of regions and just againFlorida, like there's two reps from Tampa
and Jacksonville and Tallahassee. They spreadit off across the state, so there's
not bias. That's why there's somany voters. So I'm a little nervous
selfishly that if they're gonna change stuffwith the Heinsman, I might get kicked

out. But but here's the problemwith that. It's a stretch. Stretch
them doing the right thing should notmean that you get kicked out. You
should be thrilled because the right thingis like someone who is as passionate as
you are have a vote, eventhough I often disagree with you both think

you shouldn't take it? Do youthink you're the wrong thing? Is that?

about Reggie Bush. Though the comparisonI've used before for this, I don't
know think the comparison has changed overthe years. It's a little bit more

you got busted selling weed twenty fiveyears ago, you might have served some
time in jail. You might havegone to jail. Hey, you slung
a bunch of weed, a bunchof pounds. It's illegal to do that.

all of a sudden, twenty yearsgoes by, and it's like you were

Those are the rules. They changedthe rules. Yeah they were stupid,
but that doesn't mean what you didwasn't against the law. And that's
the part of I struggle with ReggieBush. Should they have originally let him
keep the Heinsman and everything else thatwas going on. I've stuck by that
point, Like, again, youguys aren't associated with the NCAA. You

guys can do what you want.I don't know who was behind it was
screaming to get rid of his husband. I'm assuming it was Big Jay journalists
and newspaper writers. Back then theywere screaming to take it away. But
he broke the rules, and nowthe rules have changed. Were like,
