eighty ninety five point nine. Fact, it's time for the Top four four
with the VAC and Guz four timesfor the four story the world of sports
has brought you at Mohawk hot Itwhere they always go out of their way
to please you, Gazi Bear,What is the fourth biggest story? I

(01:30):
was hoping that the speakers were goingto break and you were going to unleash
the most vicious four of all timebecause you were alive at MVP Arena as
you prep for the big event tonightat Flock University and the debut for the
five Birds. That's okay. I'mglad you're still connected to loud of it
would have broken the system, sothat's fine. That's fine enough. I
was distracted by some of the graphicsthat our guy bow is putting on the

(01:52):
three sixty regular. It looks socooling here right now. Could you imagine
what a guy like Amman Ross SaintBrown could do and coach Damon Ware's offense.
Who's gonna join us, by theway in one hour from now.
Well, he along with his teammatePenny Sewell have signed big time extensions.
Todany Sewell four years, one hundredand twelve million dollar deal in Saint Brown

(02:14):
four years and one hundred and twentymillion dollars, massive stars for the Detroit
Lions, just probably really a fewplays away from getting to the franchise's first
Super Bowl. Beck, what doyou make of Sewell and Saint Brown getting
some big old contracts including seventy sevenmillion guaranteed for Saint Brown in eighty five

(02:36):
million guaranteed for Sewell. I loveit because you now have locked up your
personal protector for your quarterback. You'velocked up one of the best receivers in
the league, and now you knowsome of them. You're gonna save money
on Jared Goff, believe it ornot, because he is so good in
this offense. But we know thatlike he was, he was to cast

(02:59):
away, he was shipped away fromthe Rams. He was basically a throw
in so they could get Stafford. And now he has played up to his
real potential what we hoped he wouldbe coming out of college. And it's
because he's gotta school protectively. He'sgot a monast Brown, you know,
not afraid to go across the middle. Not afraid to run into a you

(03:20):
know, a safety or a linebacker. Get these two guys locked up,
keep everything all the way it's going. It feels like this guy is the
limit for Man Campbell and the Lions. And these are two really good startings
to get dark. Sam Brown hasbeen so good in the pros. And
remember he's the sibling of many otherpotential pros. I believe one of his
brothers played at Stanford, to theother at Notre Dame. You never know

(03:44):
which way the siblings are gonna go. He has been nothing but tremendous as
the guy to the Lions. UhFantasy football wise, by the way,
let's give a little hat tip toMatthew Berry who said he was the rider
die in twenty twenty three for fantasyfootball players. If he was her die,
you might have rowed him all theway to a championship. That's how
good Saint Brown was this past season. And the thing about Saint Brown and

(04:05):
Swell I think falls in this categorytwo is that you get a little nervous,
and I think it's a it's afair thing to wonder, Hey,
when you get seventy seven million dollarsor eighty three eighty two million dollars guaranteed.
What is your motivation to continue tohit the gym and work out and
find Saint Brown is a freak whenit comes to the weight room, and

(04:27):
there are a lot of freaks andpro sports. His dad former mister Olympia.
He's been having these insane workouts.Sewel you see his you see what
he does. It's crazy how goodhe is. So uh yes, I
would say Lions fans and time tocelebrate. And one other thing to add
to this too. You got themboth right? You got first round draft

(04:48):
picks. Right. We talk aboutso many busts in the NFL draft.
Getting two right, incredible. Let'smove on a story number three. Yeah,
go ahead, you got me becauselike I'm sitting there, you're talking
about hardy work out or I'm like, oh, he doesn't know his dad
was mister lunk. I'm gonna havethat cool moment right now. I would

(05:09):
go watch and I know the showhas been canceled, The HBO Real Sports
special on the Saint Brown Family. It's wild because just a little tease for
that. He wears his gear theentire time, like promoting his brand.
But one more reminder, too.Did he mention that his real name's not
actually Saint Brown. No, Idon't. I don't remember that. You

(05:30):
know what, I'll spoil it.Yeah. The reason their name is Saint
Brown is because the dad's real nameis John Brown, and he thought Saint
Brown looks cooler on a jersey. He's not wrong, It's not wrong,
all right. We want a storynumber three here. It's Major League Baseball
action on this Wednesday. A fewafternoon games, which include the New York
Mets taken out in the San FranciscoGiants early in that one bottom of the

(05:50):
first, no score for either team. Orioles and Angels get underway on the
West Coast in a few minutes.Mike Trout, so good last night for
the Angels, who continue to justa little bit below five hundreds. One
of my favorite team, the rooffor I've been a big Angel supporter this
season. Games of note todight alsoinclude the Red Sox taking on one of
the best teams in baseball, theCleveland Guardians. That's a six ten first

(06:11):
pitch. The Dodgers, who peoplehave been trashing the LA billion dollar team.
They were playing the Nationals last nightand it looked like they were gonna
get shut out and then eventually theyturned it off, but boy washed in
looked like they were gonna have headlinesnationally. If are the Dodgers overrated?
Oh? Yeah, the New YorkYankees they're pretty good too. They take
the on the Oakland Athletics at homeseven to oh five. First pitch in

(06:33):
the Bronx for that matchup, Levacwe led the show talking Yankees and A's
anything interesting in this game tonight foryou? Storyline wise? Headline wise?
Schmid on the mound for the BronxBombers. Well, we remember this A's
Yankees matchup because I'm I gotta admit, it's given us more storylines than I

(06:56):
thought it could. Hear in anApril series, Well, I mean me
and said, when are we goingto see? When we're gonna see Judge
breakout? What are we going tosee? You know, who's going to
become dominantly part of of of whatwas already a very strong and solid team.
Like I really, the A's aresupposed to be a team that you
just stomp on and then walk awayfrom. They haven't really done that yet.

(07:18):
Like, you know, they lostthe one late they won yesterday because
of the four innings. The fourruns are the first inning. I would
really really like to see a dominantYankee performance tonight, one of those where
you went out and you beat upthe lesser team. Teams that beat up
lesser teams. You know, itmay it may may not make you feel

(07:39):
great about yourself, maybe' a littlebit of a bully. But at the
same time that they speak too likeyou know out there you really are.
So I'm over for a big onefor the AS. I think that's a
really good ticket. I don't havemuch that it happens once a while on
the top four for you and Ihave just like stealing. Yeah, okay,
well I don't want to. Guys, I'm in your head. I
know about your Heisman thoughts. Iknow about you're paying players, I know

(08:01):
about everything quite about that Heisman thing. I just redid this order here.
Story number two the NBA again,Top four to four is always how are
you gonna remember this? What doyou think back months from now? Weech
around, how will you remember thisdate? On the calendar April twenty fourth,
twenty twenty four, I'm gonna putthe NBA here at too two games
schedule for tonight submid me Heat takingon the Boston Celtic Celtics up one OHO

(08:22):
in this series. That's a seveno'clock tip off inside che d Garden.
The nightcap features of the New OrleansPelicans taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder,
not Zion yet, depending on whereyou're getting reports, there's been rumors that
Zion's getting closer something he's out tillMay. The Zion thing again, the
Qui Leonard thing threw me off lastnight, So who knows. Maybe Zion

(08:43):
will be back for the Pelicans quickerthan anybody realizes. But it's Oklahoma City
up one OHO in that series, nine to thirty tip off in that one
we back. I find myself farmore intrigued about the Celtic Heat series,
especially with how many points in howdominant Boston looked in Game one. Are
you more in triggered about Celtics Heattonight or can the Pelicans in Thunder grab

(09:03):
your interests? It's Celtic team.I mean, I want to see if
there's any weakness in Boston they youknow, can the heat heat culture in
air quote heat culture, Can theydo something to to really kind of make
a difference. Can they can theyshow us a weakness in that whole,
that whole Boston machine that just theydidn't even look like they broke a sweat

(09:24):
medium in the first game. Sothat that's it for me, Like,
can can they can the Heat getthe boss of Celtics of some form of
weakness so that I know that myknicks can get past them at some point.
I think the Boston is potentially notgoing to lose a game until the
Conference finals. Have you missed it? We talked about that in the first

(09:46):
hour yesterday about how the line couldbe set at one and a half right
now, one and a half ofthe Celtic bosses before the Conference finals because
of how bad Miami looked in Gameone and the lack of offense that we've
seen come out of the Cavalier Magicseries. Cleveland up two zero in that
series. But Orlando is struggling toscore points in the NBA playoffs, So

(10:09):
that's the dominance level. As forthe Thunder, I was hoping for this
magical moment for Oklahoma City that theywere just gonna come out and dominate and
people are gonna wonder, why,oh yeah, the Thunder are the number
one seed. The Thunder should bethe betting favor that the It would be
more interesting, of course, theclose game in the Thunder favored by seven
and a half in this one.But I don't know if there's ever going

(10:30):
to be a moment the entire postseasonfor a team that's the number one seed
in the conference they're like, Oh, this is the this is the game
they're gonna win. Oh this isthe series. They should be the favorite
because they're so young and so unknownand so far ahead of schedule. I
think over the course of the lasttwelve months, here's a stat for you
the back. I've had a lotof stats today. I believe over the
course of the last twelve months andtwenty four months, no professional sports franchise

(10:54):
has covered the spread and wagering morethan the Oklahoma City Thunder. Do you
know that? And you just makethat up on the spot. I feel
very confident in that stat. Someonecan check me on that. I feel
very confident. I mean, Ibelieve you, but I don't. I
don't know that at all. That'sthat's great. Yeah, well then let's

(11:16):
let's go see. Maybe maybe they'llfactor into four forty five. I feel
like Warpig is gonna check me andhe's gonna get back to me in like
two weeks from now. At Tomguys, two MG, it was easy
find that. You never know whathe's gonna show up. Last twenty four
months, all right, story numberone. The back hockey fans mad at

(11:37):
me about this one. This isthis maybe the second day in a row.
Hockey fans gonna be mad. Yesterdaythe NHL playoff should be number one.
I conceded that moments after I didthe rankings. Hockey did not even
make today's top four to four. But we're gonna talk a little hockey.
I think at four forty five andabout an hour and a half, our
guy, Sean Martin, who's thebig Bruins fan's gonna join us. We're
gonna talk a little hockey. Numberone today. How we're gonna member.

(12:00):
Today's Reggie Bush getting his two thousandand five Heinsman Trophy back. The Heinsman
Trust announced today that the formal reinstatementof the trophy to Bush. What they
call it an enormous change in thecollege football landscape. Don't worry. I
love what the Heinsman Trophy did. They got those clicks. They were the
one posting the photos. They werethe one who put out the press release.

(12:20):
They were the ones who brought backthe former Heinsman Trophy winners. Technically,
you're never a former Heinsman Trophy winner, you're a Heisman Trophy winner for
life. Fifteen winners were there inthe ceremony today in attendance for the meeting
as Reggie Bush post with his Heismantrophy returned vac. What do you make
of the news of Reggie Bush gettinghis Hiinsman Trophy back today? I love
it. I absolutely love it.Like I think, like I'm not gonna

(12:43):
sit here and you know, pretendthat no rules ever broken, but I'm
I'm going to tell you that it'sa rule that everybody always had an issue
with, or at least not everybody, the majority of the people had an
issue with. So that rule hasbeen right now we know that and it's
basically what he did. So theway these guys make money now, so
you know, doing this getting itback, I think over time will kind

(13:07):
of more or less it'll be afootnote, it won't be the story.
The story will be that Retchie Bushis one of the greatest playmakers, not
just a running back but Merril Hodge, he's a factor back out there,
and it was exciting, electrifying.I wish that he had had two thirds
of the pro career he had incollege, but he he was the heisman.

(13:30):
I saw that dude dominating football.I saw that guy do things nobody
else did. And to take thetrophy away it just felt And to take
the stats away, to erase thethings, it just it just felt goofy
to me. It feels like awrong has been righted. And I hope
n C Dela steps up too andhe puts back his stats, records and
everything else. I would love tosee that happen. I want to see
the retirement of this jersey. Hesaid he's going to go back to USC

(13:52):
the moment he gets his heisman backand get the honor. Nobody's warned five
since him. So for that sideof it where he feels like he is
wronged, because he feels like hedidn't commit a crime, people are doing
the same thing that he did.And to his credit, to his team,
to his agents, this meant alot to him. He's been lobbying
for this to happen. He's gotsupport for it to happen. For years.

(14:13):
He got what he wanted. Nobodygot hurt in that process of doing
it. So that has happened today, I still will stick by I'm shocked
it happened. The Heisman Trophy isone of these prestigious awards that wants to
make sure people care about how importantit is, and they have the big
ceremony, that's in all the stuffin New York City, the talk all

(14:33):
year long, the commercial like theHeinsman holds themselves in a high regard and
there's a reason why it's considered,in my opinion, the most prestigious award
in all of American sports. There'snot other awards that you can say one
word in define. You could saythe word ENVP and you can what sport
most improved? What's sport? There'snothing like the Heinesman Trophy. But here's

(14:54):
what I'm really I like that becauseagain, the MVP the most valuable player.
Like if you're on a crappy team, oh you're the most vivable one
there, you'd still be the VP. The Island is just the best player
in college football. That's it.But that's it. Division one all the
way to Division three, everybody's eligible. Remind people again, it's not technically
associated with the NCAA. It's hisown business. And that is really important

(15:18):
that people recognize that the Heinsman Trophyas a business. They advertise, they
promote, they can make money, they can have grants, they they can
do whatevery they want because they area business. And I say that because
it's all gear in merch, becausethat's I think the biggest thing that played
the factor in the Reggie Bush thing. They lay looked at a business and
said, people don't think we're coolanymore. People think that the Heinsman Trophy

(15:39):
is not being fair, not aslikable. People aren't going to continue to
give us positivity. What can helpour business seem to be more positive that
people care about that people have agood positive message about Oh let's give Reggie
Bush's trophy back. Perfect and lookwhat happened. You're getting the views,
you're getting the click people like thehighs when they're saying how great you are?

(16:00):
Harm wonder. So they made abusiness decision today. They didn't get
up off their high horse and sayno, how dare you Reggie Bush?
They said we got to make somemoney and we want people to think this
is a really cool thing and notconstantly criticize us. We get criticized enough
about who wins the award and howit's handed out in the process and everything.
Let's not do it to ourselves thistime. But Reggie Bush, now

(16:22):
we can call him again a HeismanTrophy winner. You save yourself from me
in that rainy day sports conversation too, like should Pete Rose be the Hall
of Fame? Male rushmore of this? Whatever? Should Reggie Bush give it
Heisman back? You get it done, You nip it in the buck.
People gonna be upset about it asmuch as they want, but it's not
gonna be a long term conversation likenow, you know when you get to

(16:44):
what the NBA All Star breaking PeteRose Hall of Fame? This one is
Reggie Bush the emp a sizing back. He already does. So I think
it was a smart move on alot of levels. Uh, just one
more time because we probably won't dothat classic sports talk conversation of what would
you change for a long time insports and almost everybody will have Pete Rose
number one. You know who I'dlike to have number one? Armando Gala

(17:04):
Raga is perfect game. That's mynumber one because like you have replay now
you have we all knew the guywas out, we have replay. Just
go back and fix it, Like, hey, this guy was that now.
I know there's people in World Series. I believe it was the Royals
and the Cardinals from years ago,and there's been somebody said, well,
one bad call has been together. No, no, no, this one's
a little different. Guys like, this is one call that could be fixed.

(17:26):
And we know he's let's give GallaRaga the perfect game. I know
his name because he didn't get theperfect game. That might be the story
of it all. And Jim Joyce, but that's number one on the guys
sports thing that he could change. Now, M yeah, I don't see
that happen on that happened on thefield. This was a this was a

(17:47):
This is like an a county here. It's a little different. I don't
know. I don't know if youcan go back and fix that one.
I've got some I got some OhI kind of want to do this,
well back, I don't want todo this next. There's there's a part
of me. There's so many goodones I've seen today. Uh, you
know you mentioned Pete Rose. Peoplementioned Barry Bonds. Uh that I think
the Fab five trophy is still down. There's some people's national championships have been

(18:07):
taken on. Uh remember the twothousand and three Fiesta Bowl, the pass
interference at the end zone. Uh, Dan Orlovsky had a great one.
You said, I think it's timethat people remeasure the Viking Stadium end zone.
I like that. I mean,yeah, you know me, I'm

(18:29):
I'm I'm a fan of any ofthe any of the ones where the like
the money ones where they took guysoff the anytime you erase stats, I'm
just like I saw it. Ithappened. So I'd like to replace all
that's their top five and five, five, biggest story, top four four.
That's yeah, well you went backin time. No, no,

(18:51):
see, that's the first time I'veslipped doing that. And I want to
pass because we just talked about thegreatest five of all time in Reggie Bush.
I want to pass for that one. I listen, I'm by with
either way, you know, asfar as I'm just start doing it again,
do we want? It'll go allthe way if we're gonna go man
or you know, listen, it'snot like I'm gonna go over to our

(19:12):

A d I O. It's levakingguys on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio
live here at the transportmer Field atm VP Arena. Maybe it has been
a crazy, crazy week or twogetting ready for the home opener, which
will be this Saturday. We're lookingat an eight o'clock kickoff because the NFL

(26:27):
network is involved and we're excited aboutit. Guys. The Kidla Williams story.
I want to be I want tobe very clear, I don't care
what you done. You want towear a nail polish, you want to
wear a povie skirt, you wantto wear an afro, you want to
wear a bald ed you want toyou want to hula hoop as an earring.

(26:47):
That's up to you. That's howyou want to live. I don't
care. There's really but we're inthe process of the NFL draft, but
they're looking for anyway. But they'rejust looking for what's the difference between Kaylea
Williams and Drake Man, Jamie Danielsand JJ McCarthy and Justin Fields and everybody
else. What's the difference? Andthen you're you're crying your mom, You're

(27:08):
you're out with the painted nail asyou're you're you're answering tweets about how much
adversity you've seen and haven't seen, and all of it you're diving into all
you're giving fodder, you're giving you'reputting cracks in your own foundation for these
guys to pick apart. It gaveme cause for concern. Turns out I'm

(27:29):
not alone. Yeah. At timesin this process, especially as we get
closer and close to the draft,we hear that term called red flag,
and I'd convinced myself as I've gottenyou know, I think older, older,
and wiser. I don't know aboutwiser, but I've talked to myself
and I'm thinking I'm smarter now thatevery time I hear the term red flag
for an NFL prospect, especially quarterback, it's oh, he didn't eat,

(27:49):
sleep, and breathe football. Ooh, red flag? What do you mean
he said something other than a threefour or four to three defense? He
was ooh, red flag. Likeusually the stuff you hear that are red
flags is anything that wasn't a footballquestion. Now, it's not that broad
of a brush I'm gonna paint withbecause sometimes we think of back about things

(28:10):
that might have been red flags, like, Huh, maybe it was weird
that Johnny Manziel didn't watch a lotof film and acted wild at college.
Huh, maybe it was odd thatJosh Rosen had a hot tub in his
dorm room. And there were certainred flags you kind of think back,
like, oh, maybe maybe weshould have flagged this. This one comes
from David Fleming, who was apart of the Metal Arc media family.
He was on a recent podcast withPablo Torre. Now the idea of the

(28:33):
podcast and the subject kind of boredlove hack and I have why do football
players cry? I'm not as interestedin that as I am about the evaluation
that David Fleming had heard from anNFL scout describing Caleb Williams quote raw emotion
is great, but Caleb's thing thatwas ridiculous to me. It went on
to say he's crying to his momafter his third PAC twelve loss that threw

(28:56):
up a major red flag. Iwill tell you he scares the poop out
of me and a lot of NFLteams too. The book on Caleb Williams
is he's just kind of a weirdkid. One GM told me it's like
if Prince played quarterback. Are youjealous of the Prince analogy? There,
Levac, because that's a lot ofwhat you've been saying for about six months

(29:18):
about Kayleb Williams. He does havesome to him, because, I mean,
let's be honest, Prince is oneof the greatest deeds of all time,
like the uh everybody, I don'tthink he might even remembers Prince ing.
I just remember Dave Chappelle as PrinceGame. When you first wrote that

(29:40):
on a note today. I waslike, can ry Caleb Williams and Darius
Prince. It doesn't works. Isjust there's is too cultivated, there's a
smart and stuff like that. Prince. I can't think of somebody i'd last
smiled to, you know what Imean, Like, I just that was

(30:02):
a guy who did things his ownway. It doesn't strike me as a
team guy, you know. Andagain, never never played pickup basketball with
Fritz. But I think that's athat's a big America. That's a bad
That's something I don't want one.If I'm if I'm the Caleb Williams camp,
that's an upsetting, upsetting analogy.I get the friends comparison because of

(30:26):
the diva stuff that he's just weird. He's talented, he just does it
his own way, but he doesn'twalk to the beat of most drums.
I've heard a lot of people overthe last few days compare Caleb Williams's game
to Kyler Murray. If Kyler Murraywas bigger, and it can go all
the way back to high school.Kyler Murray was a number one or number
two high school quarterback recruit in thecountry. Caleb Williams is the number one
player Number one. Both transferred,Both transferred to a school where they won

(30:48):
the Heisman Trophy. Both are projectedto be number one picks by franchises who
aren't known for very good quarterback play, and both kind of do their own
thing on the field. There isa lot of Murray Caleb Williams comparisons,
again, the difference being Williams justphysically bigger, but Kyler Murray might have
a better arm, and Kyler Murraysome people don't know what his voices.

(31:10):
Kyler Murray could have been a twosport athlete who should have been mister marketability,
but he doesn't have that grade ofa personality. It seems he just
wants to play call of duty invideo games and doesn't like the media.
Caleb Williams loves it. Here's whatCaleb Williams really might do, and I
think he might have teased this onsocial media. He might show up in

(31:30):
a wild outfit. Now. TheNBA is usually the league that gets talked
about with fashion and sets its trends, but Caleb Williams might be the first
NFL quarterback Now. Joe Burrow isknown for his style, but Joe Burrow
I think it was at his house. I believe he was a part of
the COVID draft. He didn't haveto show off the Joe Burrows swag.
Caleb Williams might show up with somethingto be like, Yep, this is

(31:52):
me, deal with it. Thisis how it's gonna go. Uh.
I have to ask this question.I know it's not you. I know
it's because I know you personally.Do you think there is a little bit
of prejudice with Caleb Williams when itcomes to this way in which he might
not be the typical quarterback of thelast ten to twenty or thirty years of
WHOA. I don't have anyone tocompare him to him because it's different,

(32:15):
it's weird, it's bad. Ithink so. But I think I think
a lot of it comes down tovision. If I was drafted, there'd
be two things I was worrying about. Is he coach? Is he gonna
listen to my coach? Is hegonna is he gonna play in our system?
Is gonna do what we want todo? And then too, how
are our fans gonna react? Becausethere's two there's two ultimate ways to succeed

(32:38):
in football, and that is winninggames and selling tickets and merchandise like those.
Those are the two biggest ways towin. And if why am I
gonna make it a number one overallpick of the draft if you don't help
me succeed in both of those things. So that's where like I do like
when you know, there's definitely gonnabe maybe not the guy who's actually making

(33:00):
a decision. He may not actuallyhave the prejudice, he may actually have
the fear or any of that stuff. It may not be him, but
he may very well have to thinkabout how everyone he you know, relies
upon to buy tickets and everything else, is going to react. Yeah.
Uh, I agree with most ofwhat you said there. I just look

(33:21):
at how quarterbacks have been evaluated inmy life, and I think, for
the positive, a very positive thingwhen race was involved before my lifetime,
and I know still sometimes it is. There are some weirdly coded things that
people were being racist and they likedon't realize, but now they do,
like, yeah, why wasn't SteveMcNair drafted? I don't know, I

(33:42):
just can't really trust his skill setin the pocket. Wait, what does
that mean? He like was great? Yeah, you know, just not
quite sure, yeah, you know, like, uh, you know,
uh, Randall Cunningham, isn't hea little too athletic? I mean too
athletic? What the hell does thatmean? Like there were these like code
words that used to be used todescribe quarterbacks, and I guarantee you in
nineteen eighty four, nineteen seventy four, people who evaluated drafts said these things

(34:07):
and they were like, oh,yeah, okay, I get what you're
saying, but they didn't realize theywere being racist, Like they didn't realize
people like, oh no, no, there's red flag because of these things,
like Caleb Williams could be the firstflamboyant is the term I'm gonna use
flamboyant quarterback? Where it's like,I don't know, it's something weird.
I'm not used to somebody painting theirnails and showing up an address and posting

(34:30):
a different like I don't know ifthe NFL's ready for that. I think
society is. But sports is usuallythe slowest to catch up to this stuff.
And there are some meatthead sports fans. So I always it's not you
and I but stuff we read onthe internet and people who we talk to
and people who are out in public, and hell, if you're a Bear
fan and he starts to play poorly, I think some things are gonna come

(34:52):
out of your mouth that shouldn't besaid in twenty twenty forty. More that,
I think the evaluation of the personalityof Caleb WI Williams is throwing draft
gurus off because they don't know whatto do with someone with a personality like
his in this era. Well, yeah, and listen, there's a there's
a differently personality and a personality thatmakes you detrimental, and I think that's

(35:21):
kind of where the that's the That'sgotta be one of the most difficult things
to figure out while you're evaluating theseguys and you get to ask them a
couple of questions, you have to, you know, to give them the
wonder Lick test. You need toyou know, go see him, you
know, at their pro day. There's all these like little interview processes.
But at the end of the day, you you you got to try to
figure out who that guy is becauseif the number one pick of the draft

(35:45):
and kill Williams, like, youknow, what is it? I think
is a Colin Coward who says he'sthe closes. Thing to Patrick Mahomes is
seen like if if that's real, that's great, you should win, no
problem. However, what makes PatrickRoholves bad Mahomess? He goes to war
for the choops. He goes toa war for Andy Red like he is
that's he's he is on his playerto play football on Sunday's like, that's

(36:08):
why he's here. So like,if Caleb Williams is more interested in being
you know, i'll use the wordyou play a boy in he's more interested
in making headlines than he is makingwins, then that's something I like,
to be honest, I move on. I'll take the next and most out
the guy if he's more dedicated tothe game. The worst thing that someone

(36:30):
should say about Kayleb Williams' future overthe next few months is that he's a
quarterback drafted by the Chicago Bears.Like that should be the biggest criticism.
You know, we do this everyyear about quarterback doesn't want to go to
a certain city because of whatever reasons. The team stocked, the rebuilding,
they have weapons. We do thisforever. That discussion has been there.

(36:51):
Chicago's a little different because if you'renot a Bears fan, you just might
hear Chicago Bears to be like,oh, one of the true traditional power
of the NFL. Dick but Kiss, Walter Payton, Everything that happens involving
the Bears a couple of the SuperBowl shuffle it. So you would think
because of those headlines there are agreat franchise. Really, if you're a

(37:14):
Bears fan, you know they're notvery good. And to push it even
further, not just not very good. Look across all thirty two teams in
the NFL. Now, now,my Buccaneers were gonna be the answer to
that question until Tom Brady let himdo Super Bowl. There's not a lot
of franchises that have a bad assquarterback play history of the franchise. Then

(37:36):
the Chicago Bears, they might benumber one. I told you that it
blows people away when I tell themthe greatest quarterback in the history of the
Bears is Jay Cutler. So that'sa problem for Caleb Willis. Now that's
a fair criticism of Hey, doesChicago know what to do with the star
quarterback? Does his style of playfit this offense? Does he have enough
weapons? Those are legitimate questions, not whether or not he's gonna wear a

(37:59):
romper to Draft night tomorrow, orwhether or not he's got his name painted
on his nails, or whether ornot he's the of the NFL. Yeah,
yeah, it's definitely. It's again. It's just I wouldn't I wouldn't
add questions like if I'm trying toeat the most money, I'm trying to
be the biggest star. I wouldn'task questions. Jay Coler didn't ask questions
because he just didn't care about anything. Jim McMahon, he was crazy.

(38:22):
He was insane. We're cool,uh cool headband. Rex Grossman also a
very successful Barris quarterback. Are thosewho is that? Is that the top
of the of the mountain right nowfor Barris quarterbacks? You Color McMahon and
and Rec Grossman? Yeah, twoof those got to a super Bowl.
McMahon want his Super Bowl. Youdon't want to toss Kyle Orton in there
in that weird mustache and neck beard. I kind of do. But at

(38:45):
the same time, what did heactually besides a icon? What else did
he do? Where does the KyleOrton neckbeard rank and reassociation of Kaitlin Williams's
fashion You can let us know atw o F X nine eighty. Yeah,
it's a it's a bad list forthe Bears and uh and look,
you know, no, I'm notgonna justin fields as stats are probably on

(39:07):
there somewhere like that's how bad it'sbeen for Chicago. I mean, you
think about a proud franchise, likeit is a proud, proud franchise,
and yeah, there hasn't been aton to be proud about in a very
long time. So Winnas has achance to be. You know, he
could be football Jesus in in Chicago. He could be They could bring back

(39:30):
the super fans on SNL, atleast most of them, I guess,
yeah, he could be the guyat You know, we should remind people
at this point too, because attimes we forget this. Chicago wasn't the
worst team in the NFL last year. It's very rare we get a draft
where the team with the number onepick is not the worst team in the

(39:51):
league and needs a quarterback. Like, as I've continued to do this,
I just assume, like, well, Chicago's like, you know, we
kind of just trash Chicago a littlebit there, but we told the truth,
like they're not a good court. They weren't the worst. Carolina was
the worst, Washington was worse.New England was worth all these other guys
would have wanted Kayleb Williams. Itjust worked out in the Bear's favor that
all, Hey, we need aquarterback, and you're sitting right there,
and we kind of even didn't needa quarterback. We moved on from the
guy we thought would be our guy. Yeah, and again I like Justin

(40:15):
Fields a lot, but I thoughthe needed a fresh start. This for
me, it's a question of CalebWilliams, Jane Daniels, Drake May,
JJ McCarthy, like you needed togo with a fresh start. You got
numb O Beck. We'll get yourquarterback. I just want to make sure
it's quarterbacks more worried about being aquarterback. That's all. That's all I

(40:35):
want to I want to I wantto nose in the book. I want
to you know, breaking down film. I want I want deep, prototypical,
I eat, sleep, and breathefootball quarterback. If I'm using number
of oll pick, that's what youhave to be. We are one day
away from the NFL Draft. Tomorrow, NFL Draft will be talking about picks.
Will be taking your calls. We'llbe talking on social media. We

(40:59):
promised you we were going to talkdraft every day until Draft Day. Just
a programming note as well. We'regonna be carrying the Knicks and six Ers
tomorrow, so Nick six Ers tomorrow. So after that game cover rafts and
then before that. Yeah, andjust just a crazy, crazy bunch of
days here. What did we justAre we actually going to watch the draft

(41:21):
together? Or are you in quarantinebecause every one of your kids is sick?
I'm quarantined. It's the first timein a long time we haven't watched
the draft together. I don't needto get it. I don't need you
to get sick before kickoff. Idon't need to get anybody else's kids sick.
I don't need the capital region andget sick. Uh. So,
yeah, I will be in quarantinetomorrow. I might do some live tweeting
though, depending on how the picksgo. So in a rare moment,
you and I will not be outfor Draft Day. Yeah, it's a

(41:45):
I don't I don't know. Imean probably, I mean it probably works
better for me. But we'll doWe'll do a big breakdown deep time into
the draft tomorrow, at least asbest as we can. You know,
my team we have lived O'Connell. He's a good quarterback. Your team of
some guy he was almost good OnesBaker. Did you see there was a

(42:08):
story out there? I was onlycirculated by like Raiders' fan site, so
I didn't bring it out too muchthat age O'Connell would be like a first
round and draft pick this year ifhe came out. What would you put
out. I'm not saying better that, I'm not saying above k. I'm
not even saying in the top ten. But would you take in the first
round of you now this year? No, because he's not twenty five.

(42:30):
That would be like a seventh yearin college. That's it even fair?
Wow, that's her. He's twentytwenty five, so man, come on,
a full head of hair. He'sgot a great mustage. Twenty five
year old in a college and thatmeans that's a seven year difference between the
freshman. That means he was asenior in high school on some of his
teammates might have been an elementary school. I guess that's not as impressive for

(42:57):
the back. Oh, let let'stalk talk about Drew Prescott. By the

big stories involving a certain play fromyesterday. Levac found this health tip that
maybe we need to start taking advicefrom athletes who do this. We've got
more plus or it's a three hourshow now all the way in our five

(44:25):
o'clock hour, Coach Damon Away fromthe Albany Firebirds, Coach Glenn Clark from
the Albany FireWolves, and our palsSean Martin's got more on the way involving
tonight's draft, local sports, everythingyou want. Our number three not here
yet. It's to play the Dayon the way. Next, listen to
Lavack and guys right here on FoxSports ninety five nine at nine eighty.
It's Lavac and Guzz on ninety fiveto nine Fox Sports Radio. Ah,

(44:51):
yes, my friends, you knowI did some winning yesterday. I don't
know if you noticed Guy's and Pinstripeparlay it off. I get again.
I we'll get into the planet days. Like, I just want to say
that we've already kind of mocked youa little bit for your uh, your
misgivings, what you did, whatyou shouldn't be you shouldn't be proud of
it all. But uh, let'slet's talk about this. What is up

(45:15):
with these super athletes like and candy? Like, how come you know the
Marshall Lynches of the world can liveon Skittles every time they show a locker
room. Now everyone is mass ingestinggummy worms and gummy bears. I looked
at a candy bar and I explode. Now I got now, I got
Josh Hart. Who's gonna deal withMike and Ike candies? Like? Is

(45:37):
it? Is it? Just?Is it because they move more? Is
it when the genetic lottery? AmI just a fat fatue? I have
no other way to go, Like, what what is it with these candy
people? Guys? I wonder ifit's just the overall consumption of food that
they have during the day, Likeyou mentioned some of the examples of the
past athletes that we just know themfor eating candy. And I don't think
it's as simple as like we expectthe most physically gifted people to have this

(46:01):
unbelievable diet. Whatever reason it is, that they're so athletically gifted that they
can eat whatever they want, doublejealousy factor. My hope. My hope
is that, hey, I workout so much, I'm in the gym,
I'm getting the exercise in that Igive myself the benefit of eating candy.
I give myself the benefit of eatinghorrible foods at times because I know

(46:23):
I'm gonna burn it off. Ithink Michael Phelps was the first example I
can remember of like, hey,I can eat these crazy meals to put
the calories back on and car blowedback. That's my that's my feel of
it, rather than just pure jealousyof how are you able to eat all
the things you want all the timeand look like you've never put weight on.
I'm going to chalk it up tothey're so focused at the gym they

(46:46):
get to do it. I don'tknow. I don't un listen. Michael
I terrible kid, right, Imean, nobody actually likes Mike and I
can't right, I couldn't that.I couldn't tell you the last time I've
had one of those. And I'mpretty confident that if I went Halloween,

(47:06):
you know, trick or treating, those things would not be consumed right in
the trash. Yeah, unless theywanted to sponsor this show, Unless they
wanted to sponsor the bag. Guys, then I like, I've always said,
one of my favorite candies, well, when your parents would go through
and look for like, you know, raise your blades and bad things,
I'm looking for Mike and Ike.I'm looking for TUTSI rolls. I'm looking

(47:27):
for the right in the trash, right in the trash. Just as as
a matter of fact, you know, everybody's lucky. I wasn't, you
know, toilet paper and egg cockbecause if Mike and Ike in my bag
would mean an egg on your frontlaw. I mean, there's just no
other way about it. But justit's just not my kids, is anybody
I didn't know anybody under the ageof like seventy eight, Mike and Ike

(47:49):
candies, Yeah, they're gross. When I first met Doug over at w
g Y, I thought he wasmessing with me about candy corn. I
thought we'd have basically established that candycorn was terrible too, and he like
one on this He wanted this bigtank, like you haven't had candy corn
before, you don't even know you'reone of those cool people that want to
rag on candy corn. And Iwas like, is he doing a bit?
Is he serious? And then slowlyover time I realized not only was

(48:15):
he serious about candy corn, hesent me a picture of his wife,
whoevery year collects candy corn and makeslike gingerbread houses out of her favorite candy
corn. I'm like, whoa,I must have clearly hit a nerve here
about the candy corn obsession. Soshe uses them for like crafts, not
yes, no, no, no, she built like she does the old
if I remember this picture he sentme. He sent me like an old

(48:37):
school gingerbread house and they put allthe candy corn on it and she could
not wait to eat it, likeit's like a Christmas tradition at the Goudy
residence. But that's so one ofthe few things and I'm not I'm not
a candy corn hater anymore. They'reokay, Like there's never gonna be a
time I go looking for candy corn, like I'm just like when I see

(48:59):
a bowl them, if I'm likeeveryone's wing like, you know, I'll
throw back a small, little handful. The only thing worse than like cancorn
is candy corn that's been sitting outfor a long period of time. Like
it's like, so now you've takenregular candy corn, You've turned into uh
some piece of artwork and let itdry out in front of everyone and now

(49:21):
and then you consume them. Thatsounds awful. That sounds like a terrible
way to lip. Yeah, Idon't. I don't think that's very good.
You know what if you're one ofthese people who are all jacked and
strong and cool, why don't youtweet at the Jeff Levac at Tom Gons
t o MG, it was easy, and tell us how you've decided to
stay in shape with it consume justfishing for attention. Here's just evil.

(49:45):
It's all you care about, theseflexers like, oh I got a six
pack, I eat a milky Wayman like Deanna saying, do you just
care about the clicks? That's allthere is, Tommy corporate captain Click,
that's who you are. You havelike sixty new nicknames as we started doing
Fox Sports. I like it andlike all of them. Suit about Dion,
by the way, you know whatI'm gonna I'm gonna jam this into

(50:07):
the show right here. Speaking ofDion, thank you, Dion Sanders for
letting Syracuse Football steal away a sixfoot eight, three hundred and twenty pound
offensive lineman from Colorado. Thank youvery much. I know people are freaking
out about all these players hitting theportal for Dion. You know what,
I wanted to make this a Syracusethemed topic. Arenzeoa waku see on an
assistant coach. There you go.So I squeezed that in. But I

(50:27):
think it is more about Dion here. Level of concern here in the fact
that all these players are hitting theportal from Colorado football. Now, I
think it's I kind of like it. I think it's it just goes to
uh, it kind of speaks tothe you know, the new the shiny
thing isn't always the better thing.I think you're seeing a lot of these

(50:49):
players realize that they have a chanceto go be special somewhere else. And
it also probably goes down to alot of that nil money is probably focused
right, look bad, Yeah,I'm not shocked by this. I think
this is just the business that iscollege football. They had about eighty percent
of their roster that was gone, and they kicked everybody out, and a

(51:10):
lot of these guys showed up andthought, oh, like, I'm gonna
be the starter, I'm gonna bean impact player. As you mentioned,
I'm gonna get the nil money. That's not how sports work. People forget
this easy stat. Let's say,for instance, forty five guys play on
a football game. I'm talking, you know, eleven on offense, eleven
on defense, and forty five mightbe a stretch their backup special teams.

(51:32):
For the sake of this conversation,we'll say forty five. Now you no,
no, We'll do forty Okay, there's fifty five other guys counting walk
ons left. That means half yourteam doesn't play. There's not a lot
of sports that you can have thatin stead of half the team doesn't play.
And a better way to view thatis fifty five guys think they should

(51:52):
be playing, fifty five guys aremad at the head coach. Fifty five
guys think my coach is dumb.I'm gonna leave, I'm gonna try answer
gonna do this again. I'm justthrowing the number fifty five out there because
it's more than half of the roster. This is college football, Colorado benefited
from it, and now you're findingout guys are leaving. Some maybe it's
this they think they're better than theyare and others. I'm sure someone's got

(52:14):
to take about the gen z heresituation of what's going on. Uh yeah,
and bet and look, Dion isprobably gonna find talent or they're gonna
stink. Like I think Travis Hunter'sawesome. He's probably gonna be a top
five pick next year. The draftstomorrow. Shador Sanders might be the number
one pick next year. So yeah, I'm not concerned either. I do
think it is a little bit comicalthat Dion's like, no, this doesn't

(52:35):
matter. He's getting his clicks fromcalling kids out and classes and other ways
into which filming springball and all thatstuff. The Shador Sanders being the top
overall pick this year, I guessdid I just not see enough of them?
I mean, he's obviously a verycool athlete, but he didn't like
Colorado had some nice games, buthe didn't like light the world that fire

(52:57):
like he's he's and he makes somuch money. I know we talked about
this earlier. You finally have scoutswilling to say that Caleb Boys makes them
nervous. You can't tell me whata guy makes that much money in college.
You're not a little nervous about himmaking just a little bit more than
that first couple of years in theleague. And that's just ahead. Yeah,

(53:19):
That's why I think this draft isso uh the word I keep using
is fascinating. But the excitement levelfor me personally, I feel like I
could rank other drafts I've been moreexcited about. Whether that's because I'm a
Buccaneer fan, whether it's because it'shad more New York storylines and that that
twenty twenty five's draft of storylines andexcitement and drama is going to be so

(53:42):
far above and away. This oneof Travis Hunter and Dion seeing what team
his son's going to play for andhe's going to pull an Archie manning that
all that stuff, that is whatthe drama is going to be next year.
So if you're looking for the dramaand the storyline and the breaking her
news and juicy rumors about what theywill and won't do like we did the
from the people who brought you.Trevor Lawrence won't play for the Jaguars and

(54:05):
Joe Burrow doesn't want to go tothe Bengals. Comes Cayleb Williams and the
Bears. Wait for the finale ofShador Sanders an insert team like that.
It's gonna be a whole new levelof drama this year. So that's probably
what you're getting at here, Lavack, where it's like, why do you
want to deal with that drama? He could be a really nice player,
but there's way too much of doyou really want to come here? And
if you don't want to come here, we'll find somebody else involved with both

(54:25):
coach Sanders and his son. Haveyou heard the tinfoil hat Dallas Cowboys theory
that Dion's gonna go coach the Cowboysand draft this kid. Yes, yep,
so you've heard it. Okay, near mind, I don't think it
happened. Has he done enough?Like, like, I think he's in
a good spot in Colorado? LikeI think I have to admit he's better

(54:47):
suited to Colorado that I thought hewould be. But at the same time
that doesn't mean he's he's ready togo take over the world. I totally
agree. I think that the hypeof the September Colorado upsets made people review
that season. They became a nationalstory. Colorado, to remind everyone,

(55:10):
did go four and eight last season. They did go one in eight in
the Pac twelve that no longer exists. It felt like they were six and
six or playing for a national championshipand everything else, and they're in a
new conference next year, the weirdversion of the Big Twelve. When you
see some of those names that areactually in the Big Twelve, it's hard
to remember it's actually the Big twelve. Well, we'll see Colorado probably.

(55:31):
Yeah, they went four INNY,but they probably made so much money from
TV deals and advertising and merch andremember all that stuff. They're like,
you know what, we can eatfour in eight because we made so much
money off of you. Yeah.Well, I mean, and I think
that. I think. I thinkif he sticks with it and keeps building

(55:52):
a program, because he could havesomething like nobody. I know a lot
of people thought it because he's bringinghis lugs with him and it's Louis.
It was going to be like thisam im media turnaround, but they were
a far more competitive team with himthere. Definitely they had a lot and
they got put it like this,They got first round picks out there.
They do, they do for sure. All right, let's let's talk about

(56:15):
this. So you ye know yourpick socked last night. Here's we I
know we covered this earlier in theshow. Just one quick reminder. I
went for a forty four to oneshot and I truly believed that was going
to hit it the whole night. The whole night. I never gave up
on that. Yeah, I actuallyjust did the regular parlay because you were
so confident that I'm not going tohave that. I'll say it. I

(56:37):
think that that worked out well forMeanwhile, again Finsford parlay yesterday that paid.
That worked. That's I'm back onthe bucks and I went a little
thick a little people on that onetoo, So I'm pretty pretty happy about
that. Do you would you liketo go first today and try to redeem
yourself. I usually do go first, mm hmm. You know what,

(57:00):
I really wanted to take the a'sto spite you, and with Seaun Martin
coming up in one hour, Ireally wanted to kiss up to our guest
on the show. I really thoughtabout the a's. I would have liked
to take the Orioles, but theygot under way about forty five minutes ago.
When Trout continues to smash home runs, I am so good at hockey

(57:21):
until Ryan McCarthy, the Cardinal, tells me different. I'm gonna keep taking
hockey games until I missed. Ibelieve I'm three and oh my last three
hockey picks. So until the streakends, I'm gonna roll with hockey.
Tonight. You know what, Igave Doug a shot out. I accidentally
called them weird on the show. That wasn't fair. And you know what
Sean Martin likes the Bruins flat outeasy minus one oh five Bruins over Maple

(57:42):
Leaves. Tonight, Let's go tofour and ozer one hockey picks. Come
on, thanks an easy after aforty four to one shot yesterday, simple
minus what oh five? Bet?All right? All right, I like
it. I'm gonna go another pinstraight parlay. Buddy, you ready for
this one? All right? Ithink Judge, I think Judge is ready
to break out of this. Thinkhe's in. So give me the Yankees
on the run. Line minus oneand a half, give me judged at

(58:06):
a home run and Clark Schmid sixplus strikecouts. That's the that's the pins
right parlor for tonight. Okay, one day I'm gonna fallo a pin straight
parlay. I've never last night, you're putting it on your phone. I
have yet to do a pin straightparlay, not tonight. But I will
root for you and I'll root forme. I hope you both win.
I have I'm wager every pins rightparlay usually like ten knocks. You're nothing

(58:28):
crazy, just you know, likean MVP arena beer bet. But like
it's uh, you know, yougotta put him out there. I like
him to give me some of thepay attention to watching the game. We
have that big event tonight at thearena where that's why I'm on the field
right now. Flock, you willbe live here tonight. You get to
meet the mask out tonight. Seethe new field. For the most part

(58:50):
tonight, some of the stuff werestill. I just look over to a
couple of bashers that need to bereplaced still. But we have great people
working on that, so that'll bedone soon. But you know, but
I get to watch the aching gametonight. Either way, I'll at least
I'll have the updates set on myphone so I can watch with my penstrap
parlor Hits. You have an interestingsituation coming up here because we're gonna talk

(59:13):
to Coach Where and then you alsohave Coach where again. So even though
Flock University tapes tonight live from MVPanticipation for Santay's kickoff, I want some
raw answers, Levac. I don'twant you to hold out. I want
it as good as we can hereon this show as you'll give him for
Flock. You coming up in afew hours. Well you well, you
don't ever get a chance to talkto him. I talk to the guy

(59:34):
all the time. I'm gonna dothe on air thing with him. That
rule I get, like, ohsay that it's run a football team together.
So you go go after him,go deep, You'll only you know
he'll find you eventually good. Iwill do all those things. But before
we do that, can we talkabout our friends over Mohawks Chevrolet. I
would love to. Of course, you're seeing our Player of the Day,

(59:57):
which is brought to you by MohawksChevrolet, and I will tell you that
one of the great things about thisyear's all being Firebirds is one of our
owners, Danny Gelcher for Mohawk Chevrolet. So we have that Mohawk family commitment
and uh and just kind of knowledgeand know how have been added into what
we were already doing and making useven better, which has been a lot
of fun. But I see alot of guys all of a sudden,

(01:00:22):
you know, from the front officeto the equipment manager to Joan there with
tickets. All of a sudden, everybody's driving bow ties over here. I've
noticed more and more. Well,Mohawks Chevrolet is taking over the entire place,
and rightfully so because the selection, because of the finance and department that
works so hard to take care ofyou. Travis Horn, the GM,

(01:00:43):
Katie Duncan, the assistant GM Brennanwho is in charge of the financing over
there and takes care of a lotof stuff I do over here. Mohawks
Chevrolet, do you have those drivewith Mauk Chevy where they always go out
of their way to please your greatselection getting their stuff. The ride you're
waiting for, Damon, weare nextis that we're doing. Let's do it,
hey, coach, we need youall right, Coaches coming over here

(01:01:04):
