Speaker 1 (00:00):
But Ox Troy wgy FMHD two alban W two forty
opening Fox Sports nine eighty ninety five point nine. Fact,
it's time for the Top four four with Levac and
Guz four.

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Over the four biggest stories in the world of sports.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
A little bit before for.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Today because well God's broken show.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
Audio Sami Goos and for It's brought to you.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
By Mollaganda where they always go out of their way
to please you.

Speaker 1 (00:32):
Guys.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
What's the fourth biggest story?

Speaker 1 (00:33):
I'm been juggling today, Levak of what do I want
to do for story number four? I promised to you
yesterday I said We're always going to do Olympic stories
at story number four. I lied, it's coming later. Oh No,
Story number four are friends at the U Albany football program.
The Great Danes are back at action campus officially open.
Shout out to add U Almany Football is doing a
tremendous job doing some great social media posts showing the

(00:54):
players back the new turf at Bob Ford Field at
Casey Stadium. I'd like to have you seen the photoshot
they tried doing on there. Yeah, the coach Ford's based
on the fifty yard line like it's team Builder on
NCUABLEA twenty five. By the way, if you're playing NCUBA
twenty five and you use team Builder, maybe the Great
Danes can be in your video game. But levac off

(01:17):
the most important, the best season in school history. Ash
Capitol Region sports sands feel about camp opening up for
the Great Danes today, I'm excited about it.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
It's, you know, I think it's gonna be a great
year to be a Great Dane. I like that, But
it's it's exciting because this is a team that in
twenty nineteen looked like they were on their way. World
stops New York stops twice as hard as the rest
of the world stops they got. They're forced to build
to basically start all over again. Last year we got

(01:50):
a real glimpse of what they can be. Is they
go deep into the the FCS playoffs, I think they're
gonna make some noise again this year.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
This is gonna sound wild and maybe two over the
top and hot take Tommy of me. I address this
before it even lose my mouth. This season's more important
than the last season. This season, the twenty twenty four,
you know, all many football seasons more important the last
season and it's not because your.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
Brain's just a bunch of like rankings. Is that all
it is. It's just like it's just the chalkboard where
you oh, three is now this four?

Speaker 3 (02:23):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (02:24):
See? You don't know this. My wife will hear this
all the time. You can text her this during the
break if you want. I will have a meal and
I will say out loud, it's a top five meal
this season. That's a top four cookie I've had all year.
She'd be like, what are you talking about? My brother
in law Rob, I had tordolini last August. He's like,

(02:44):
I heard you say it was your best positive ever
had in your life, and I almost slapped you across
the table. I can't turn it off. I can't. My
mind is constantly ranking things, giving takes. I'm a robot
for sports talk radio. That's a great promo for the show.
I'll never cut. But here's what happens.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Well, you have rights to the audio, and I have
the rights to that audio. Are you sure yes? Because
it's our show. I'm convinced that. Here's why it's more important.
Here's the take.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
Because here in the Capital region, I feel like and
you feel like the U Albany football team is still
underrated and underappreciated for the talent that's on that roster,
for what coach Catuso did last season, National award winning
Aaron Donald connection. You and I have been a part
of it on field, hosts, weekly interviews. We've done everything

(03:31):
we can for you Albany in a professional setting and
gone to games. The crowd for a week one is
usually really good. But we're in a paste now for
Capitol Region sports fans and our guy Ryan McCarthy and
Sean Martin, other people support local sports we love. It
feels like they need to be consistently good for the
following to grow. Like you can't go from final four
to five and six. It feels like that if you

(03:53):
Albany football is going to gain traction and maybe be
talking about as the most popular local sports team here
in the it's got to be multiple seasons in a row.
I'm not saying coach Katwos has win the national championship.
I didn't say that, But for you Albany football to
gain popularity and gain attendance, they want to be a
consistent winner in the CIA. I think that's a fair

(04:14):
take and I think it's a very reasonable take.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
You may not agree, though. I just think we need
to tailgate. I think once we start tailgating at all
the games, it'll make all the difference and everything will
be fine.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
Here's one other question I need to ask, because you
were off coming up in August.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
There's a little beef building by the way too. I'll
tell you that after you do this.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
Oh gosh, all right, so you were off coming up
in August. The longer camp goes for you Albany football,
the more and more difficult it's going to be for
getting coach Katusa on the air with us. That's just
how it happens. You know, my former coach at Hobart,
the assistant coach isn't hey busy during camp, don't.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
I don't let yea.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
We have to work on his schedule. But you know,
all right, because you know, I get very uncomfortable asking
coach to do stuff during camps. Scared, No, no, no,
those are fourteen or fifteen hour days. He's gone. Those
are long days is in camp, especially with the extended
camp because of the new.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Wasn't talking to you. It wouldn't be tedious at all.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Let's do this. We're gonna program the show live on
the air with you. Let's do our best to get
Coach Katusa on next week, and I will reach out
to Coach Trock at Union because Union the Dutch bent.
Oh excuse me, the Garnet Chargers are getting camp opened up.
I played for coach Trock, formerly a Hobart assistant. We
bumped into him at Mohawk Chevrolet. Coach Rock's a big guy,

(05:30):
six five six, you had your vantage, you had a
bad knee. Let's do that back. Maybe next week we
will find a way to get Coach Drock and Coach
Catusa on the air. I can't promise they would.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
It's not like super difficult. I'll just text.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
It is their camp. They don't want to talk to us.
Block out all the noise the media types like us.

Speaker 2 (05:48):
Let's do this? What day next week?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
Are you doing it right now?

Speaker 2 (05:54):
Do you want to come on the show?

Speaker 1 (05:56):
All right, you're texting coach Katusa.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Because that's what we already. He's already give me a
hard time.

Speaker 1 (06:00):
I feel like I'm gonna go through the Union s side.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
Here here's the deal. Why could you know the guy's number?

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Right? I do have his number, but I feel like,
I'm gonna do it the right way. Introduce myself, talk
coach rocket him, and we're gonna do in studio next week.
So there you go. He levan gas listener, a fan
of the show. You might have double local coaches next week.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
So Damon Ware, head coach of the Firebirds, is helping
out with the Hudson Valley football program. So Katusa's like,
if I had known he was available, he would have talked.
And I'm like, I didn't do it.

Speaker 1 (06:32):
I didn't know.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
And so I go to where I'm like, hey, Gatusa says,
you should have reached out. He's like, he should offer.
Now they're gonna, you know, gonna have to have a
cigar summit. No, see, this is the you have to
have a cigar summit. Get my give my guys, my
two favorite football head coaches in the same room. Get
him on a golf course together. We did this with
Jerry men all respect, it's all love from each other.
That's what it is.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
This is Jerry mccamaron, Brian Bery. This is coach wearing
coach Katuso. Can they put their egos aside like a
w WE tag team? Can they coexist?

Speaker 4 (07:06):
No?

Speaker 1 (07:06):
They actually get along great.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
They just I feel like they probably expect me to
talk to the other one for them, and I don't
do that.

Speaker 1 (07:14):
I believe it's just because I work in radio and
media in all these you want to make trouble wherever
you go. No, no, no, no. That Like when I asked
that question, I think it always comes off negative to
somebody listening. You're like, oh God, what the ego? Take again?
Can they work? If someone said, hey, I want to
be the boss, I want to take charge, well back you.
And I know some hosts who have said I only
want to work. H o sts write that for the transcript.

(07:39):
H o Sts.

Speaker 2 (07:41):
There's some hosts in this house.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
No no, no hosts that some have egos, and I
don't take it personal. They want to do their own thing.
They don't want to work with other people. So I
it' stot against coach coach can So maybe they don't
want to work.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
True leaders don't need to tell people to follow. Is
the reason you show up here every day like.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
You're told let's move on to story number three, because
you want to move on to story number three, not
because I wanted to. The Mariners and Red Sox are
just moments away getting underway to Fenway Park. It's a
four to ten first pitch, Cubs in reds Pirates and Astros, Dodgers, Podres, Rockies, Angels,
A's Giants. That's the ninth camp of games, so that
we're gonna get some afternoon action here spoiler alert coming up?

(08:21):
Any of those games interesting tonight? Is there a potential
play of the day on the way in one of
those games? You want to tease towards us? Anything jumping
out to you about the ninth camp of games scheduled
in Major League Baseball?

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Ah, not particularly. A lot of the good games were
earlier in my opinion. But I'll take a look. I'll
see what I can do. I'll throw something around it.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
That was a very polite no. I have my eyes
on Dodgers Padres tonight because Dylan seesaw on the mound
and go find the tweet about Jon Moncado, sees Tim
Anderson Copek, all the players that were on the White
Sox organization that Jerry Reinsdorff and everyone else couldn't figure
out for the White Sox. My gosh, Jeff Passes get

(09:00):
drank today on social media because they said how great.
The White Sox are going to be in the next
few years. Ouch, well, I have my eye on that
because they're playing against the Dodgers. And earlier in the show,
if you missed at Apple, Spotify and the iHeart app
can listen on demand. I ranked the Dodgers the number
one team in bingsball and on the Mountain Tonight the
biggest choke artists in sports. Clayton Kershaw had him in

(09:21):
the postseason JJ Watt, Simone Biles Clayton Kershaw.

Speaker 2 (09:25):
What's your problem with Simone Biles?

Speaker 1 (09:27):
I mean, again, enough for her on Instagram?

Speaker 2 (09:30):
My gosh, we're talking about that later. It's an Instagram fight.
You're not into enough out of her? I mean that's
your jam.

Speaker 1 (09:39):
Wow, you just you are a hypocrite, hypocrit. Let's later
in the show. Let's move on to story number two.
We got this litt be a hypocrite coming up later
on the show. But mind me Arrelands take down the
Tampa Bay Ray six to two and Afternoon Action Today
The Orioles, The Return of Jackson Holiday Come You Returned?
Played well? Underdog Story number one, pick son of a

(10:00):
for baseball player. Nothing screams underdog like that's too much
sarcast ten to four. Baltimore takes down the Blue Jays
and the two New York teams one to one. One lost.
Yankees sixty five winners over the Phillies, Twins, ain't three
winners over the Mets that you mentioned the lead off
the show today in that first hour. How important that
victory was for the Yankees. And not just the victory,

(10:20):
but the sweep of who some would say the best
team is in baseball. The Mets not so good against
the Twins, but the Twins a playoff contender. Severino getting
the l for the Mets. Uh, this seems like a
Yankee day, no disrespect to Met fans, But.

Speaker 2 (10:34):
Here comes the Blue Jays.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Let's go. What happened?

Speaker 2 (10:37):
But Yankees get a day off in a little Blue
Jays action.

Speaker 5 (10:41):
He.

Speaker 1 (10:44):
Felt like Macho man Rady, seven.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
Little birds and they're about to get their wings clipped
by the New York Yankees.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
The brags, bombers, land digging. That may have been your
best Macho Mack. First couple of syllables, I said, well,
is that him? That's good?

Speaker 2 (11:06):
I can't do it?

Speaker 1 (11:07):
Operate there on in it Canadian Macha man, I thought
about Uh so, that's it? A suri boot it, Met fan,
How are you feeling that for the deadline? Are you
just getting spoiled a little bit? Did you want another
Cesspa this summer? Did you want another big move? Mets
are fine right now?

Speaker 2 (11:25):
Oh that's your fine. I love that Me's made the
right moves. They made the right moves. They didn't do
anything to hurt their future, but they solidified their present.
I think the obviously obviously jad chisholm jor the best
move of any move ever, greatest player alive, as everyone knows,
at least for the last four games, pretty good. But

(11:50):
like what they did was what they needed to do.
It was good.

Speaker 1 (11:52):
I think.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
If I'm a Mets fan, I'm very happy with the
way this team is being constructed.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
If you have a friend or a family member who
is a Met fan and they found themselves deep in
a Reddit yesterday trying to be the next Brian Windhorse,
with their fingers up in the air saying Walker from
the Pirates traded from the Mets to the Pirates. Why
is that thinking it was gonna move for another move?
Get him out of Reddit, pull them out of the hole.
They've duck too deep into that trade for the pirates.

(12:17):
Get him out of there. I'm Reddit may have to
be burned. Can we burn something on the Internet? Did
you find what go ahead? I have a feeling where
you were on Reddit? Did you find yourself in a
Reddit wormhole because of Doctor Doom? How did you know
that at that? I know, I know what's on Reddit.
I know what's going on that. I know what Reddit's for.
It's for people diving into conspiracy theories that they wonder

(12:39):
if other people have the same thing, and then they do,
and then there they go into Reddit. So you went
down the rabbit hole of Doctor Reddit.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
I started on Twitter and then I followed a link
and then because I was like, this is a joke.
No one is really accusing Marvel of whitewashing their characters
because Robert Downey Junior is Doctor Doom and there's a
large group of Internet turns that are there Robert Dave

(13:09):
Junior's whitewashing Doctor Doom, who I don't think he's ever
been played by a person of color ever, And the
storyline I don't think is what people are expecting. But again,
people are mad at Marvel for whitewashing Doctor doom.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Help your friends, help your family members, help your local
radio hosts. Pull them out of Reddit. I've been there before.
Nineties kids gonna have a big smile on his face.
Don't you worry. I've gone down the Wilt Chamberlain reddit thread.
Did the game actually happen? Where he scored one hundred points?
And there's some weirdos out there who are with me?
I was down that Reddit thread.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
Have you seen this? Red a thread from Matthew Bob.
It's actually just a tweet. Tom Gots performance lately are
really circling the drain. First he won't pull audio he's
afraid to, and and now he's afraid to ask coaches
to come on the show because they're too busy.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Get it together. Gods, Matthew Bob makes me laugh. Enjoy him,
easy show. We didn't even get the story number one,
story number one. I told you we started early. I'm
glad we still have something here. What's story number one?
Story number one of teams that we were gonna do
Olympic updates and have spoiler free lies, and this I'm

(14:21):
turning into Steu Gotts. Add this to the list of
lies the United States and South Sudan battling right now
with five minutes to go in the third quarter, Team
USA leads South Sudan sixty to forty nine. If you remember,
Sound Sudan almost pulled off the upset in the exhibition
matchup between these teams before a late layup by Lebron
James in that game to give Team USA the win.

(14:42):
The two storylines coming from this game. One, did Steve
Kerr overreact and start Jason Tatum just coiit the internet
and the haters. Jason Tam didn't play in the most
recent game now starting for Team usay not playing great though,
one of three, just two points. And the other storyline
is it weird that Steve Kerr five minutes in the
game I had to run a full court press against
South Sudan. Like, if you're running a full court press

(15:04):
and picking up across the floor against South Sudan in
the first quarter, did you already lose?

Speaker 4 (15:10):
No?

Speaker 2 (15:10):
No, But if it was North Sudan, yes, I really
don't know anything about Sudan.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
It's actually a fairly new country. It's only been in
a country recognized for the last twelve years.

Speaker 2 (15:20):
So okay, that's why I didn't know I only respect
countries fifteen.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Years or older.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
It's eighteen years older. I'm very I don't want any
any videos, so I don't need Why.

Speaker 1 (15:32):
Are you hanging out on this underage country?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
I don't know it told me it was eight k
I'm sorry. We're taking a small history book now, I
know what. You're way downhill fast. Today's the day, my friends.
At the end of the backing guys.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Team USA is keep it close. But it goes back
to your take yesterday about Team US saying that they
have to win. They have to be dominant victories. They
can't have close games if you're pressing South Sudan and
maybe it was a one man press, maybe it wasn't
a full court press, but that's always.

Speaker 2 (16:00):
Like this though, don't that's Isn't that like isn't that
a coach like telling the team get your bleep together? Like,
isn't that what that is? Isn't that Kerr going, Hey,
I don't like your effort. Full court press? Go Like,
isn't that what that is?

Speaker 1 (16:15):
Get up on up? Yeah, coach, the first corner we're
playing Celi, Yeah, you want to play peck him up,
put him down, girls, let's go or Steph Curry's oh
for six right now at the one point, It's like
I wasn't ready for a full court press today. I'm
all too old for this stuff. Man, slim raapers out there.
Everything's fine. I'm in love with Kevin Durant all over

(16:36):
again thanks to the Olympics playing great he is. It's
gonna see him healthy and motivated. You bet he's not
a nick that'd be awesome. All right.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
There is your Top four at Forrest, brought to you
by Mohawk Condor, where they always go out of the
way to please you.

Speaker 1 (16:49):

I don't see his CRV in the parking lot, I
know when I get here he's not here. Cause, like
I my vehicle, very like camouflage, discreet yours, very ostentatious,
a little over the top.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
I love that you're beg Sometimes I feel like when
I pull in, I'm like I have a new vehicle.
Has no one not noticed me besides levakants Wait a second,

I'm like, please just go, yeah, call him.

Speaker 1 (24:31):
I kind of want to text Danielle for a C
four C four support them popsicle flavors, Stewart's.

Speaker 2 (24:35):
Speedway, Ultimate Energy. That's why I'm the Ultimate. I had
one this morning and I have not stopped being ultimately awesome. Hey,
do you remember what the Patriots record was last year
the New England Patriots four and thirteen. You're correct, you
you do remember?

Speaker 1 (24:55):
Would that?

Speaker 2 (24:56):
By the way, Gatusa said, anytime? When do we want them?

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Next week? Okay? Thank you god.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
It's that difficult to, you know, call one of our
friends and say, hey, come on, he goes Yeah, Wednesday
please Wednesday?

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 2 (25:13):
So if you were a team that was four and thirteen,
how many of your players from that year's roster would
you bring back?

Speaker 1 (25:23):
All right, Well, the question you're asking is not as
simple as the answer might be, because not knowing some of their.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
Contracts, would you re sign ten extend ten contracts?

Speaker 1 (25:35):
No? I would not, especially with a new GM and
a new head coach. I would be curious as to
why the reason those ten players were brought back, I Levac.
Of those ten players, probably only Matthew Junan, who we
didn't talk about yesterday. We ran out of time there
at the end. Matthew Junon is the best player on
the Patriots. Besides that, I would Drake May was drafted

(25:58):
besides those two unless there's I'm missing, But I don't
think Judah's contract wasn't up. I don't think I believe
he has one year left.

Speaker 2 (26:05):
Yeah, so he's still He's okay, he's in play.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
I bring up that those players because besides may being
drafted in June one, I would struggle probably for those
ten guys if you have him all there in front
of you, to say why they really needed this guy back.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
They just extended defensive tackle Davon Gotchaw two year, twenty
one million, So now him jabro Peppers safety. I like Peppers,
but you know whatever, three year, twenty four million defensive
tackle Christian Barmore, four year eighty four million running back
Remandre Stevenson, four year thirty six million safety, Kyle Dugar,

(26:42):
the Louisville Slugger, four year fifty eight million offensive tackle
Mike Anwaynu three year fifty seven million tight end Hunter
Henry three year twenty seven million wide receiver Kendrick Board
three year nineteen and a half million, linebacker Johanni Tavai,
three year, sixteen million linebacker Anthony Jennings three or twelve
million dollars. They have brought back or extended ten players,

(27:05):
majority of that from their defense, from a team that
was four and thirteen. All of those players stink, except
one oh Douggers. Dugger is the only one who's got
Jubil Peppers. Here's the problem with Shabrill Peppers. Jabriel Peppers
has been a phenomenal football player.

Speaker 1 (27:22):
This happens. You and I have talked a lot about Peppers.
He's a phenomenal football player. The problem with Shabrill Peppers
is that when you get to the pros, you eventually
have to be phenomenal at something. Safety, corner, linebacker. He's
had a really nice career. Giants have had him, Browns
have had him, Patriots have had him. There might be
a fourth team that I'm missing in that mix. He

(27:43):
was a really nice player at Michigan who did everything
New Jersey kid. It would have fun if you stayed northeast.
What's he the best at? Like, He's not a shutdown corner,
He's not a super pass rusher. He's a great football player.
And I know that should be the same conversation. You're
great at football. You should get paid well, you know,

(28:03):
And I'm not sure if the patrons do know how
to use them in the right way. I don't know
if anybody does. Like this one, Hunter Henry's a good
tight end. Kyle Duga is a good safety.

Speaker 2 (28:10):
He's very good. That's the one player. Christian Barbour is
a good a good tackle. But like all of that,
like it just feels I've I've had the chance in
my life to be added to leadership structure of places. Right, Hey,
this place we wanted to do? What the place you

(28:32):
you come from did?

Speaker 1 (28:35):
Can you help? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (28:37):
Of course, Here I come, I come in, I go, Okay,
this is what I would do. Oh we can't do that. Okay,
all right, well you know I would replace this with this. No,
we're not gonna We're not gonna do that. I would
replace this person with this person. Oh, we love our people.

Speaker 1 (28:52):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (28:54):
Why am I here?

Speaker 1 (28:55):
Well, you're gonna help us turn it around. I just
gave you.

Speaker 2 (28:58):
Six examples of what I would do, and you said
you're not going to or can't do any of them. Yeah, no,
we don't think that's the answer.

Speaker 1 (29:05):
Okay, I'm out. I'll see you later.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
That's what it feels like with the PET like we
need to turn things around without Belichick and Brady. We
need to turn there. Let's go, let's let's just keep
all the things.

Speaker 1 (29:16):
I gotta push you deeper on this because I think
that example right there that you have nobody here in
the five to eight. There are a few people who
can do what you just did. What we're talking about
this is very important for Patriot fans, and this will
happen to your favorite team. This could happen to your
favorite college. Because you have two examples of that in
your career. You have the example of building a sports
team at the professional level with pro athletes, and you

(29:37):
have worked for Hall of famers in your media career
who have gone through things like that. So let's say, yeah,
but yes, but let's start. I want to start with
the sports out of this first, because there are there's
a correlation between those two. Okay, so let's talk about
that transition. You're saying Bill Belichick, with no disrespect to
Tom and Nas or George Mania who used to run
the Empire, or to coach where how you're talking about

(29:59):
building a a structured organization. The rub, the aura, the
mist of Bill Belichick post Patriots is Wait a second.
Bill Belichick is arguably the greatest coach in the history
of the NFL, andties in the conversation, is the greatest
coach in the history of American professional sports? What did
Belichick see in these guys that we're missing or oh, okay, okay,

(30:23):
hang on, I see what Belichick saw. Let's sign am
hurry up. Like the fact that Belichick had a connection
to these guys is rubbing off of the new organization.
Like you're talking about and saying, Okay, we agree with
what a legendary person did. Here's why we're rushing to
sign every week because we think we cracked the code.
That's not the best thing to do because he could
be wrong, but because he's had this influence, they're trying

(30:44):
to figure it out. I think, to your case, Levac,
right like, hey, here's what we think is good for
the organization and the team, and you're looking at it
with your eyes being like why we're doing this for
what reason? So what did you do in some of
those scenarios? How did that and always stay the same
on the Empire Firebirds side or was there a connection
of like, hey, the player we got or the person
we got In twenty twenty one, how.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Long was I in the Great State of Georgia.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
I want to say two seasons, and by seasons I
mean like spring and summer, like six less than.

Speaker 2 (31:13):
Six months, less than six months? What did I do.
Hired a head coach that they argue with me about
the entire time, and then they won a championship. And
then they tried to send me a bill because I
tried to do other things, and I was like, listen,
we gotta we need you helmets, you need to do this.
You got this, this is who we want, this who

(31:33):
we don't but boom boom, Now all that's wrong, gotta go,
yet to go.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
And they won.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
They won a championship in the league they did. They
never sent me a ring. When it comes to radio,
I'm my favorite. And it's it's funny because the guy
is actually like one of the better market leaders. I've
never worked for him, but he calls me and he goes, hey,

(32:02):
I want you to I've heard of you because I
was in Albany a long time ago and I'm now
I'm in this other market and I want you to
fix this country station because I was working country at
the time. And I go, oh, I've never done programming
for a country I've done it for rock whatever. But
let's you know, okay, let's talk. So as me listen

(32:22):
for a weekend, what would you do well? I would
do this. I would change this. I would do this.
My dream would be to play three more songs Adam
the rotation, one of Power two a second. No, we
can't do any of those things. So can you start
next month?

Speaker 1 (32:42):
No?

Speaker 2 (32:42):
No, I can never. I will start never because I
can't come in. I'm gonna come in. I'm gonna do it.
Nothing's gonna change, and then you're gonna blame me for
not getting better. So no, I can never come in.
That's what I can never do. And then that was that.

Speaker 1 (32:55):
When I interviewed for this job, Uh yeah, we're past
it now where I can do this. They asked me
and they said, okay, what's your thirty day plan, what's
your sixty day plan? What's your ninety day plan for
the stations? And I said, here's my thirty day plan,
and they said, what's your sixty ninety? He said, I'm
not telling you guys.

Speaker 2 (33:09):
I'm gonna get Levac and then everything's gonna be better.

Speaker 1 (33:13):
I told them I'm not telling my sixty or ninety
and they're like why. I was like, I've done this
long enough where you guys are probably gonna take that
and then not hire anybody to just make those years
in similar fashion of what you're talking about, Lavack, where
it's like, Okay, I know this business a little bit.
I'm not giving you my entire playbook and just walking away.
This is not going to be the scene with Henry
Winkler stopping in the high heels of the book is

(33:33):
taken away in the movie The water Boy. This is
not happening. So yeah, there's the defense to that. When
it comes to players, like we talk about the Patriots, right,
we have no idea what offense Girard Mayo is gonna run.
We have no defense, no clue. We might have an
idea because of practice, but really, when game one you
line up. This is more so in college than professionally. Like,

(33:54):
if you've got a coach who wants to run air
raid offense right for wide, you're gonna go in shotgun.
Probably don't need to fall back. But the coach before
you might've been running the wishbone or the Delaware wing tea. Okay,
we're gonna blow this up and add the people we want.
We'll use our field for radio here for a second. Right,
You've worked with a lot of program directors, the big
bosses of hey here, the hosts that I think we

(34:15):
should hire what I've learned, maybe you've heard something different.
Some program directors will hire people because they like the show.
I like the hosts, I like the content. I like this.
Now I'm gonna hire these people or I've worked with
them in the past. I have a good relationship with them.
I know I could trust them and put on a
good product. Some people will say, it's not about me,

(34:38):
it's about the audience. These people drive revenue, these people
have ratings. That's the reason I'm going to bring them in.
I think truly, the Patriots don't know the answers to
those things. Are they making the decisions because Bill Belichick
thought it was the right thing. Are they first year
guys and don't know yet. Are they feeling like they
have it? They don't know if they're leaning on players

(34:59):
as they can trust build the offense that can drive revenue.
And the Patriots don't know, like it's their rookie year
doing this and they feel like they're doing the right thing.
But we even don't know yet.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
There's only for me. There's only one reason you do
this right. So you bring in Drove Mayo, who has
never been outside of the Patriots organization, he hasn't had
great things to say about Belichick, so he's obviously painted
a different picture. Alex Van Pelt is now the offensive coordinator.
So if you like what you saw in Cleveland recently,
that's not bad, you know something like that, which means, actually,

(35:29):
we know somebody who can probably call him, Yeah, Andy Gelcher.

Speaker 1 (35:33):
He's got some local connection.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
Yeah. If you told me, hey, the defense was not
a problem, and you told me we honestly feel as
though we are a quarterback away from being back after it, that,
then this ten makes sense. Then I'm okay with it,
but you still have to prove it. Now they got
Drake May, Now you got to prove it. Jakober set

(35:58):
his back. I've long thought that Belichick got rid of
her set because he was ticked off that they wouldn't
let him replace Brady. So it's like, all right, I'm
gonna I'm gonna get rid of the guy Groppolo and
then would get rid of the other guy that I
think could do a good job if Brady got hurt.
Now what now, what are you gonna do? Here's your
over the hill quarterback losers? And then they went another

(36:18):
super Bowl.

Speaker 1 (36:19):
That Apple plus thing about the Patriot dynasty. Man, I
wish they would have waited. I know you didn't. I
know you didn't watch it. I wish they would have
let more time pass because they felt like they were
being about as honest as they could. But we needed
more time because of that stubbornness you're talking about with
Belichick and the ego bantle between him and Craft of Okay,
i'll do it your way, or you're gonna find out,

(36:40):
or you're not gonna let me do this this way,
then I'm gonna do it that way. At times, Belichick
and I've said this for as long as we've talked
about this team together, Belichick got bailed down for some
bad roster moves and bad drafts because of Brady. We
all gave him the benefit of the doubt. They're winning.
Belichick's genius, he figured it out. And when they started
to lose, boy, where those mistakes galaring when Brady wasn't around.

(37:03):
And I get its NFL and I get it's professional
sports that dynasties don't do what the Patriots did. WHOA,
those were some weird mistakes when Belichick's trying to have
quarterbacks where the number seventy when they don't know what
position to play. Guys, when you're like, uh, why is
a first round pick from Western Kentucky when everyone had
him in the fourth, then the weaknesses and mistakes start

(37:26):
to be glaring when it's no longer winning football.

Speaker 2 (37:29):
Yep. Well we'll see how it turns out, but right
now I think it's gonna be I think the building
process is going to take a while.

Speaker 1 (37:34):
That's why.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
That's what I think.

Speaker 1 (37:36):
Can we add to the Junon thing here real quick?
As you saw the confrontation, I know we didn't address it.
We've covered Patriot camp before. That was bizarre because like
he's there, but then he's yelling at coaches and he's
like trying to test Mayo and it's in front of
all the New England media. What was the purpose of that?
I mean so many other ways he could have done

(37:56):
what he did that went viral there in New England.
Have yelling at the coach and then getting kicked out
of practice and then coming back to gosh, that was bizarre.

Speaker 2 (38:04):
Well, I think you know kind of what you just said.
Is he challenging? Is he is he challenging to see
who's in charge? Like, like does he not respect Mayo.
Is that is that one of those things, you know,
could could he be? Could he be trying to prove that,
you know, he's got more power than they realize.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
Then he goes to social media today. I'm not sure
if you saw the post that he said, uh at
Matthew Judan man underscore damn on social media. If you
follow he wrote, no, they haven't, but it makes me
look bad again. Don't believe the mind, don't believe the
lies is what Judan wrote about a contract situation.

Speaker 2 (38:46):
He's looking in silver and black. I'm you right with.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
That mad underscore? Damn.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
I like the you know when they do the thing
where they show everybody or they give out their number,
and Matthew Juda he used to do Matthew Judan body
by tackle well, so he's always marched to a slightly
different beat. But that that that screams test in the boundaries.
That's you know, Dad's not here. Bello checks out, So

(39:12):
I don't know who you think you are.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
He's gonna he's gonna turn thirty two this month. Use
me in August. He's gonna turn thirty two. D two guy,
by the way, and he's rocking a single digit what
is he? What is the deal? He thinks he's gonna
get though he'said a really good sea. He is the
best player by far on the Patriots, and this is
probably where that frustration lies for him.

Speaker 2 (39:31):
Because he's good no matter what you do. Yes, like
he is. He's a backfield wrecker. He's gonna get. He's
gonna get after that quarterback. He's if if Tier A
is Max Crosby, TJ. Watt, Miles Garrett and the Bosas,
He's like right, he's like tier tier B for sure,
top of Tier B maybe. But that's that screams issues

(39:54):
and I like issues in New England. They deserve issues
in New England. I'm sorry Patriots fans, but you you
deserve it. You get what you get and you like it.

Speaker 1 (40:04):

Speaker 2 (44:49):
It is brought to you by Mollogus Chevrolet, together the
driving Mallogue Chevy where they always go out of their
way to please you. United States Men's uh was it
eighty seven to seventy. Right now they're up. That's starting
to put things away, starting to move in the right direction.

(45:09):
Play of the day, I've got nothing. Yankees already played
what well. I'll just take men three on three USA
men minus four and.

Speaker 1 (45:16):
A half against Poland?

Speaker 2 (45:18):
Is that who they're playing? I don't even know. I
don't care. It's fun money. I'm not gonna not putting
real cash on this thing, kids, just a little bit
of fun money.

Speaker 1 (45:25):
So I'm also upset about the play of the day.
I think we've been dealt here today because for the
play of the day, we both made a proclamation yesterday
on the play of the day. You were gonna roll
with some pin straight parlays, and I was gonna keep
wagering on the Chicago White Sox until they they actually
won a game, and they lost yesterday and then they
got pounded by Kansas City today. So my White Sox
plays off the board. Your Yankee plays off the board.

(45:48):
You are way dream just to win money.

Speaker 2 (45:52):
Line three tend to bring back nine to twenty six.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Are you a little surprised it's minus one? Wait for
three on three basketball against Poland?

Speaker 2 (46:02):
I'm surprised. I'm such a degenerate that I have to
pick it. I don't want to do it, Like it's
not what I want to bet. I wouldn't you know
when a hundred gambler is gonna be hear called because
I don't want to make this bet. I'm just gonna
make it for the fun of it.

Speaker 1 (46:16):
I'm gonna watch it. That's the reason I've already tipped
my hands. That's right. Timber Furdet's connection to the game
as well, he had some moments where he looked fine,
moments where he didn't look as good. Uh, but you
know what, Tmusa, go Jimmer, go USA. Even though my
last name is Becauselowski Poland not rooting for you in
this one. Oh how about let's talk about the choke job.

(46:37):
Let's talk about the choke artist that is Clayton Kershaw.

Speaker 2 (46:40):
He's like, what is your problem with Clayton Kershaw? What
is the matter with you?

Speaker 1 (46:44):
He is, whether it's the West Coast bias of New
York athletes don't smoke him as not, he doesn't get
to smoke as much talking about Actually the criticism that's
what get the smoke is do we have that gen
Z Lista still out there for terms. I'll see why
I can pull it up for the pod have knocked
off the Dodgers in the past. The Diamondbacks got to
the World Series last year, Kershaw in the postseason. There

(47:06):
is no athlete now left that has choked it away
more than Kershaw. Now he got the World Series the
Dodgers did in twenty twenty. Who wants to throw an
Asteris Cup on the COVID World Series just because I'm
doing a kershaw'll take here. I'm gonna throw the Astra Cup.
Now He's gonna get pounded tonight. Give me the over
in Dodgers Podres. Padres are at minus one twenty. They're

(47:28):
favored against the alleged Hall of Famer Clayton Kershaw. Nobody
Bayton Manny won a Super Bowl, he got lebron One,
Giannis won, Jason Tatum Champion. Nobody's a bigger choke artist
right now in sports in Clayton Kershaw, he gets pounded
tonight against the Padres. Give me San Diego money line
and I'll take the over for cine. You and I

(47:49):
have a bonus wager for you, Levac. Tomorrow's the Hall
of Fame game. I'm gonna do this for you, I
would have sworn this off in your past. I know
earlier in the show you said you felt like you're
not getting into the preseason football. Feel it as much.
I feel like you're gonna feel tomorrow when the Hall
of Fame kicks off. I'm gonna give you a Hall
of Fame waiter tomorrow long with my horse racing plays.
So I will give you a bonus to play tomorrow,
two plays of the day.

Speaker 2 (48:11):
So sweets.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Did you see?

Speaker 2 (48:13):
Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson got into it today at
Jets camp.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
Got into it.

Speaker 2 (48:19):
Is how we're gonna phrase this little verbal altercation.

Speaker 1 (48:23):
It was what it was, what it looks like. I
would say, seeing how this has gone through social media
today and how people have reacted to it, it's just
competitive people being competitive. He wasn't happy about how the
offense is playing. Rogers let him know they were both ticked.

(48:47):
I wouldn't think this is they hate each other. This
is what I can't stand about training camp. They could
compete like I don't know if it's reporters watching it.
Wilson's rocking the new number five. I know he changed
his number earlier this season.

Speaker 2 (49:02):
There was talk to that, like everybody does that John
Boy thing now, yes, yes, Biggie, Aaron Rodgers zig when
you're supposed to zag again, Garrett Wilson and again. You
were supposed to show up for mini camps so he
could practice, but you chose the Egypt.

Speaker 1 (49:18):
I think that's what was said. I like that, I
have I don't think that was said. I think it
would be funny. But you can do anything now with
AI right, Oh my god, some one could work that in.
I saw it, saw it on TikTok. I have no
issues with this. This is where it should happen. Like
Wilson and Rogers should argue with each other in practice

(49:40):
about what they're not on the same page about. I
would rather see this video five more times. I think
Jet fans should. You should want that video five more
times in practice than twice ever during an eighteen game
regular season. Seventeen game regulars in eighteen weeks. Let him
figure it out in practice. They had four plays together
in the regular season. Rogers is not playing in the preseason.

(50:02):
If they made a mistake, if they're playing poorly, their teammates,
they have to work together to figure this out. And
if they're gonna get loud with each other if they're
gonna get each other's faces good. I have no people
feel like what happens on the field is personal with
these guys, and now they hate each other. I don't
know if it's New York media or just reporters not
playing sports. Like no issues at all with Rogers and
Wilson today.

Speaker 2 (50:20):
Oh, I think, I think I think I know what happened.
I think they came off the field. Rogers goes, hey, Deavante,
I thought you were gonna be and then Garrett went.

Speaker 1 (50:31):
I'm not Davante. Stop calling me your ex's name.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
And Rogers like, yeah, I can see you're not Davante.
He would have caught that. And then they just started
scratching each other, slap fight, feelings hurt all over the field.
So I think happened.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (50:54):
I'm glad you're not wearing seventeen anymore because you suck.
Garrey Wilson's like, you're old and your ankle sucks, like
a fight getting after it, just fighting somewhere.

Speaker 1 (51:05):
All the JET reporters are like, I pray every day,
but that's what that scenario was. Rich Simani's on his
knees praying police. For the love of God, what I
would do for another summer of those headlines.

Speaker 2 (51:17):
Oh be so good, Garrett, you know that single ditch
just make you look fat? Why they just start fighting,
It'll be great. How early are you drafting Garrett Wilson
and fantasy drafts? He'll get there to the fourth, right,
he'll get to the four fourth. I think you'd be
lucky to see him at the end of the second,

(51:37):
early third.

Speaker 1 (51:38):
See, this is the problem with New York leagues that
we play in. We will be in leagues with Jet
fans who will reach See this, this is what we've
learned in fantasy. Why is that a problem? Well, if
they want that player, like let's say it's towards the
end of the second round. Right, let's say there's a
Jet fan. We'll were just just to twelve team league
for the sake of this conversation. Okay, twelve team league.
The person who's the Jet fan has pick number uh two,

(52:03):
and they're gonna wrap around at the end of the
second round and they know, Okay, I'm a Jet fan.
This is my only opportunity to get Wilson, and they're
gonna take him like that will happen you and I.
This happens far more to you than me, And maybe.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
It's because of the no me is annoying.

Speaker 1 (52:15):
You know it's gonna say raiders. People are taking them.

Speaker 2 (52:18):
Off, and as soon as they're adding me, they gotta
like god forbid, I say, like somebody's gonna be a sleeper,
like Boston Dan is one of the worst at it.
But at least Boston Dan, like I know it's actually
he's just being a jerk, like he's on purpose to
be like this is gonna. I may not win this league,
but Lavac's leaving your angry like it's funny to him.
Where there's people who are like, well, I knew you

(52:38):
were gonna take Aidan O'Connell in the third round. No,
I wasn't enjoy like whatever, Like that's the thing is,
like I think you're missing You're I want die hard
fan drafting ahead of me. Because as much as I
would love to have Garrett Wilson on my team and
I think he might be a third rounder, he might
he might Heck, he might be a late he might

(52:59):
be a first round. Jets fan, you probably should draft
him in the first round because if you do that,
means somebody else is gonna slide and I'm gonna get
to take them.

Speaker 1 (53:09):
You know what, this is what we should do. I
like where we going with this. You know how many
years Lavac and I Coleman should be the first overall pick.
I mean right, every year we offer up a couple
of sleepers, we like, a couple players we like. We
never get them. Ever, I've never I love they have
got one. They got one. I had like the first
pick and I got in the wrapper round. All I
talk about is how great Lamar Jackson is. I've never

(53:31):
had him on a fantasy team. People will say, oh,
I know, Gods loves Lamar Jackson. He's not getting him.
I'm taking DeVante Smith. He's done. I just said his name.
I think he's gonna have a huge fantasy year for
the Eagles, along with Sai Kuon Barkley.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
I'm not gonna bar take it is ridiculous.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
It is ridiculous. I might. I might by the time
our next NFL season previews show comes down, I might
take it down a little bit.

Speaker 2 (53:51):
If you had just said from scrimmage, I might, I
might be. You know, it's still a long shot, but
I'm with you, but you had two thousand rushing yards.
How many times does been two thousand rushing yards from
one player in league? It's like thirteen? Is there thirteen
of them?

Speaker 1 (54:05):
Thirteen? Is my guess. When I was thinking about that,
I'm like, you know, the Eagles lead the league in rushing.
If Saquon can average one hundred yards a game in
seventeen game regular season, that's seventeen hundred. That was my
thought process behind it. And I feel like I'm gonna
pull back the take. All right, So you got oj oh,
let me see if I an name, but real quick,
all right, jeez? Is it thirteen? I don't.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
I didn't, alright, I was gonna count them off with No,
it's not thirteen.

Speaker 1 (54:28):
Okay, I'm gonna go quick.

Speaker 2 (54:29):
O J.

Speaker 1 (54:30):
Seventy three.

Speaker 2 (54:31):
Derrick Henry. I believe there's eight eight eight Okay. Derrick
Henry did it in twenty went okay, Derrick Henry. O. J.
Jamal Lewis. Jamal Lewis did it.

Speaker 5 (54:44):
No.

Speaker 1 (54:44):
Three. Eric Dickerson, he did it in eighty four. Adrian Peterson.

Speaker 2 (54:50):
Adrian Peterson did it in twelve twenty twelve.

Speaker 1 (54:54):
Barry Sanders.

Speaker 2 (54:57):
Barry Sanders did it in ninety seven. I got six
fast yep, Okay, to go, uh Terrell Davis correct one more?

Speaker 1 (55:06):
I got one last. We've met him, and we've met him.
Oh gosh, I don't like this.

Speaker 2 (55:13):
Oh no, not when he played for the team that
he got the two thousand yards with.

Speaker 1 (55:22):
Oh gosh, I hate that even more. I don't think
that helped me.

Speaker 2 (55:25):
We actually saw him in a hot tub. What were
you there for that?

Speaker 1 (55:30):
Maybe?

Speaker 2 (55:33):
Were you?

Speaker 1 (55:34):
Were you there at Arizona? No?

Speaker 2 (55:36):
No, no, no, no, this camp at camp camp, No,
you know what. You weren't there. I'm sorry you were
not there.

Speaker 1 (55:44):
I need one other running back to run for two
thousand yards. I at least have rounded it down to
a former Bill. It's not Frank or I guess my
other two guesses. I don't think these are both wrong.
I would guess Thurman Thomas or Emmon Smith. Now this
was this was we I met him at Jets Camp
Ladany and Tomlinson. Nope, okay, I don't have any other guesses.

(56:06):
I'm out seven out of eight. Eastern Carolina. Oh my gosh,
Chris Johnson, question nine. You like the East?

Speaker 2 (56:14):
I like the Eastern Carolina.

Speaker 1 (56:16):
Got for it.

Speaker 2 (56:17):
We took we took the social media intern with us.
It was it was armand and I sorry, I confused
my ex as much like uh, like Aaron Rodgers did today.
And and she we were driving through and she's the nicest,
she was kind of she was almost nerdy. She works
in Vegas now, so she's come a long way, not
like she runs like like slot Machine Media or something

(56:39):
like that. And we're driving through looking for a place
to park. This is when they were still at the
college there, Ireland.

Speaker 1 (56:46):
Yeah, yep.

Speaker 2 (56:47):
And they've got hot tubs set up behind a building.
And here's Chris Johnson, who's just cut out of stone
with a couple of other dudes, sliding into a hot tub.

Speaker 1 (56:56):
And I hear her go oh, Chris Johnson. By the way,
when he ran for that two thousand yards season, I
love this stat. I should have got it right, because
I know when he ran for two thousand yards and
that year he said, oh nine, yeah, he got zero
MVP votes. MVP was Payton Man in that year. Guy
ran for two thousand yards, couldn't get a single MVP vote.

Speaker 2 (57:17):
That's well because he was now remember he was rough
around the edges, we'll say, because he wasn't he still
gang affiliated at that point?

Speaker 1 (57:26):
That was the rumor.

Speaker 2 (57:27):
That was yeah, all right, I'm glad you said that
was the rumor because allegedly, but like Edrin James him,
they had that like rougher vibe to them that scared
white people. Let's just be clear with what it was,
and it was and it was very scary for white people, as.

Speaker 1 (57:43):
Scott Rowland is to Major League Baseball nerds and statistics
and analytics that Scott Rowlins in the Hall of Fame
over a lot of good baseball players because Tying told
us he was really good. Chris Johnson and Jamal Charles
are going to be the most players in the future
that when the running back position because of why we
talked about this for Giant fans and Eagle fans and
say Quan may not get to two thousand yards and

(58:05):
may not get the touches to do it. People are
gonna look back at numbers like Chris Johnson and Jamal
Charles and be like they did what? What was their number?
How did that that? They're gonna have wild stats. They're
gonna be like that. I actually later this week, I'd
love to get in that discussion about the Hall of
Fame and Pro Football and whether or not that's gonna
change and where it ranks. But that might be for
Friday Chew who was the most yards, the most yards

(58:26):
in a season, yeap rushing, Oh gosh, obviously those eight. Yeah,
Adrie and Peterson got close. He didn't get it. I
think he's second. Jamal Lewis was going forward on a
Sunday night years ago. I think he's third. I don't

(58:47):
think either one got it. I believe it's still Eric Dickerson.
You're correct, but O J has the most yards for
geting because OJ's fourteen games.

Speaker 2 (58:56):
I think so.

Speaker 1 (58:57):
All right, that was a nice tribute. I looked really
smart there, and I loved everything about that second.

Speaker 2 (59:02):
Except for the fact that you couldn't remember Chris jog Ah.
That dude's fast. Just he's probably still fast. He'd probably
just get up off his porch and run like a
four five forty. He should, He should had two more
years in the league.

Speaker 1 (59:17):
That season with the Jets was so bad that he
probably should squeeze another one or two out.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
Save squeezing it out for the dupe. Please please keep
it keep it together.

Speaker 1 (59:26):
All right?

Speaker 2 (59:27):
Well, there there is you play today and just randomness
for no reason whatsoever. Uh. I will tell you this.

why our youngest West keeps waking up, and I'm starting
to think it might be because of me.
