Speaker 1 (00:00):
Here in the Saratoga Race Course. It's one of the
last fridays of the meets.
Speaker 2 (00:04):
Wow Wow Get Our friend.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Christina from Louis brings a gift card that we may
or may not get. The giveaway if Tony Alvato President
and our best shows up, goes the hand to me.
Speaker 2 (00:18):
And it gives it to God.
Speaker 1 (00:19):
I just want you to understand that we lose a
lot more money because it goes and we do a
little back.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
I was gonna put it out there.
Speaker 3 (00:23):
Did she yell out psych after or not? I didn't
see that.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
She's very, very demure, very pretty Jane Tine her beautiful
yellow dress today.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
Yes, we almost had history moments ago, so close yet
so far away.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
And the Traveling GT Toys Studio that's toys with a Z.
Speaker 2 (00:45):
It's we man.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
We teamed up on a pick three and we did
the thing that you never do. We keyed one horse
in the last race. And when I say we, I
did what God has told me to do. So that's
my fault for listening.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
But because you.
Speaker 1 (01:02):
Always like that's always if you key the first race, fine,
it comes, it goes, it's over, you move on.
Speaker 2 (01:08):
You live with your life.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
But when you key one horse in the last race
of a pick three, you have to expect to lose.
Speaker 3 (01:14):
Yeah, at four to five, when you're already counting your
ticket off, you know what, how am I gonna spend
my money? How many beers?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I knew?
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I knew I was in trouble when he came over,
and he goes based on the winners of the first
two races, if if the four wins, will get eighty
six dollars joining us now the president of NYRA Bets,
who has saved the the amazing tourament of losing one
hundred and seventy two dollars to Lavac and Guze Tony
Alavato with us.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
I'm just disappointed that I missed the handicapping one to
one seminar. Well, you're alive in the pick three and
you've got him singled, yeah, you should expect to lose. Actually,
technically you're supposed to win.
Speaker 2 (01:52):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
It's one of those ones where I'm sitting there and
he's going through why he likes the other races.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
I'm like, you know what, cool whatever.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
I'm like, you sure he's want to keep one horse
at the end. You're sure He's like, yeah, I know
this is the horse. So to the point where like
no I would using the horse for other things rest
of the day.
Speaker 2 (02:08):
Comes in third.
Speaker 3 (02:10):
I blame Gouz, I blame God, you blame yeah, well
you should have seen the confidence.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
I like, you didn't even get a call, like, not
even a sniff. Did you ever think you were gonna
win at any point in the race.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Not only did I think I was going to when
the gates opened, even then and then and then with
a double inquiry, he's up here going the drop both
the horses it didn't bump, that didn't But if they
both bumped the four maybe you get that kind of
lightning in a bottle. They bumped each other. If anything,
they were just gonna rotate who.
Speaker 4 (02:42):
I had a race and I bet at once. I
didn't like the favorite, so I bet a superfecta, which
is top four horses. I boxed five horses. It cost
me one hundred twenty bucks, and I threw out the favorite.
So just the horse needs to throwing up and the
favorite wins by four lengths and I'm like, I'm so wrong,
And all of a sudden I see the lights blinking
and it's a race in Canada. So I turned them like, oh,
(03:02):
I said, how strict are they in Canada? And they said, oh,
they have like zero tolerance. If you do you sneeze
on a horse, they will disqualify they So I'm completely wrong.
They disqualify the horse to fifth. I hit my super
fact that fifteen thousand dollars for Oh but I wasn't
even smart. It was just lucky. Well, listen, I think
that was the last time I was lucky. It was
like twelve years ago, isn't it.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Where isn't it where lucky lucky is where preparation and
opportunity meet or something like that.
Speaker 4 (03:28):
It's someone someone who was not lucky said that, Yeah, well, hi,
welcome to the guy.
Speaker 3 (03:34):
I was behind beers, Tony. That's how confident I was.
I bought these guys beers. There were cash.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
You guys, it's so popular you don't have to pay
for any beers.
Speaker 5 (03:42):
You.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
Yes, I already I already had somebody called me fat today,
so I didn't need to. You know, I needed this win.
I needed it. I did always.
Speaker 4 (03:52):
This is great.
Speaker 3 (03:53):
Someone called this series finales.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
Literally got like second hand anxiety just listening to your
bedding stories. It's ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
It is it's upsetting. Listen, I'm way better at football.
I mean, that's that's where this is. This is a hobby.
Football is where I make my living. So that's that's
what's that's what it's all about. Yeah, you don't believe me.
I'm very good in football.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Okay, who give me who's your future book pick to
win MVP for this?
Speaker 3 (04:16):
See that you can't bet MVP in New York.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
Okay, but if you're in Vegas and you can better?
And are you about to say for this season? Which
is a good question, because I'm gonna say twenty twenty six,
I'm gonna this season.
Speaker 2 (04:27):
I'm gonna answer this the Actually last year, last year,
did Patrick Mahons play?
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Yes, he should always be the m VP, Like it's
is that your y every year?
Speaker 1 (04:38):
I mean I hate him because I'm a Raiders fan.
But like, this is why you say about Lebron James.
It's like, who should be the m v P in
the NBA? Is Lebron playing? It's it's Lebron. The only
way you give this somebody else is if you name
it the Lebron James m VP, or like in Major
League Baseball, is Aaron Judge playing.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
He's the m v P.
Speaker 4 (04:53):
They're thinking about changing the logo from Jerry West to
Lebronn with his arm that like this complaining.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
I thought him and Tom Brady exactly.
Speaker 1 (05:10):
No, it's I if I was gonna take a long
shot this year on on m v P, Josh Allen,
that's not a super long shot.
Speaker 2 (05:19):
But I think it's got to be Mahomes or Alan.
Speaker 4 (05:21):
How about how about to win the AC Who he
picked to win the FC? Who do he picked to
win the NFC?
Speaker 2 (05:25):
I would like to see the Bills win the a
f C and I want I'm looking at potentially the
Niners back in it again.
Speaker 4 (05:33):
He just went with the I think the Bills might
not make the playoffs this year.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
I don't think so.
Speaker 4 (05:37):
And I love the Bills, but I think their window
of opportunity may have closed there. I thought last year
was their year. Yeah, and they I think that in
the NFL we see it all the time. It's like
and the Chiefs are an exception of that there and
and that there's a few teams that exceptions. I don't think.
I don't think the Bills are that team. I think
they lost some key pieces and they're they're just I
think they're gonna need to kind of rebuild a little bit.
(05:59):
Now you have Josh, and I think Josh Allen to
me is the best quarterback in the NFL. I actually
think he's better than Mahomes, But I just don't know
if he has everything around him to do it. But
I would love to see the Bill I'm a fan
of the Bills.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I think a really well run organization.
Speaker 1 (06:14):
And like last year when everything came out out of nowhere,
that McDermott back in nineteen made an al Kaina reference
and everything that's that was born to tear the team apart,
and then they went on a winning streak, right, So
like I feel like there are more galvanized cores than
we realize.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
The hat on a comment that was made week seven
of last season to lead them to the Super Bowl
this year.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
I'm hanging my hat on the reaction to that comment.
Speaker 4 (06:39):
Why am I? What's your opinion?
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I wish I'm taking the Chiefs and the Packers. However,
to your guys' Bills point, uh, I would like to
see the Bills mafia in New Orleans for that week
when you and I are there. I would like to
just see the Bills, fans take over. And I would
also be very careful tony about saying bad things about
the Bills, because you've seen the Bills mafia. They will
throw people through tables, they will work bad about the Bills.
Speaker 4 (07:03):
I'm just I speak, you know, I'm gonna tell you
what I think.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Yeah, well, we don't think on this show. That's why
it's not welcome. That's that's it works.
Speaker 4 (07:12):
Hey works.
Speaker 1 (07:14):
And for anybody who said there going, oh dude, the
proves we were books. What you know about the NFL.
You worked in the NFL for years and years and years.
Speaker 4 (07:20):
I've worked for year and year.
Speaker 2 (07:23):
It is only that much.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
I was in the NFL for the worst year in
the history of the NFL. I was there when they
had the flight gate, ray Rice knocking out his girl
elevator and then you know, picking her shoes and throwing
him out of the elevator, and then I and then
we had Adrian Peterson.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
With the switch, with the switch and his kid. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:43):
I literally did to the NFL in one year, which
took me like fifteen years twenty years in horse racing
to accomplish. I was able to bring.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
It down that wasn't your fault. I'm not you know,
by the way, was amazing. I thought it was great.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
He's the leader of hatreot nation. Is they mout in Buffalo?
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Leader Patriots?
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I tell you man, they stole.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
I heard some stories about the Patriots and the little
things that they would do just to get that little
edge that they would do. There was a player who
leave Nameless that worked on the show with me, and
he told me that that when the teams would leave
the visitors locker room, they would send the equipment guys in,
which was ironic because remember it was equipment guys that
did the gate, and they would go in there and
(08:26):
look for it. And he said there was one game
where they found in the visitor's locker room trash can
the script for the beginning of the game. Can know
how they script? He said he was a defensive player.
They knew every play that was coming, and the team
still went all the way down the field and scored.
And it made him realize how much an advantage the
offense as over the defense.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
If they're able to execute woots well worth it.
Speaker 4 (08:55):
It's almost not fun though, they're so bad, like you
want to be just good enough to beat him every time.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
I'm and no, I'm okay with it, You're okay, yeah,
I'm Karma is not just a stripper that I'm very
fond of.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
It's this is what's the better. Let's talk about the travers.
Speaker 3 (09:12):
Does bets have anything wonderful going on for the trap?
Speaker 4 (09:14):
The trap? It's just talk about the travers. The fact
that you've got Torpedo Anna the Philly running against the boys,
which will be the what our trivia question will be
this time, trying to come with something a little bit harder,
no multiple choices time, but we'll get to that in
a minute. Running against door Knock, which is the Kentucky Dirt,
not to the Kentucky the Belmont winner. Then you've got Fierceness,
who is a two year old champion. I'm actually gonna
(09:36):
go with a long shot in the race. I'm gonna
go with unmatched wisdom. I think there's a lot of
speed in the race. I think he's gonna sit right
behind him, and a lot of people are gonna probably
over bet Sierra Leone because he's a closer. With all
the speed in the race, I like a horses maybe
canna be in that second flight that sits and then
goes either that or I'd love to but I'd love
to see torpedo an. I think it'd be really really
good for the spot.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
So I red Ortiz and Chad Brown in the Winter Circle,
the Travers. That's the place they've they've never been in
the Winter Circle here at Saratota.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
You know, Chad is a local Startela died in Mechanicville
and he's never won the Travers.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
Yeah, and it's it's one of those ones like you
you want to see it happen, You want to see it,
but it's like the longer it takes, it almost feels
more magical because he's gonna get it.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Eventually, you'll get it.
Speaker 4 (10:19):
Yeah, but it's just it's it's almost, Yeah, it's like
you and your handicapping contest, because at some point he
one of these one year from now, one decade from now,
he's gonna beat you.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:29):
Theipation is sometimes what you were down thirty five dollars,
that's three days ago. What are you down now?
Speaker 3 (10:34):
I'm down twenty five because my bet hasn't gone off yet.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Is that your Yeah, he's got my ten dollars, Yeah, exactly, Well,
I lost my I played with it, so you might
be in striking range. Yes, less unless it all ten dollars,
that's right.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
I was just what's your ten dollars back today? Oh,
I've got race I gotta go pull the notes here
real quick. Race eight. I gotta pick three twelve two, three,
four five four, nice and easy, bet right, nothing too complicated.
And then a fifty cent trifected better earlier you just stayed.
Speaker 4 (11:03):
Like all the prime numbers that.
Speaker 3 (11:07):
Race seven, seven, eight trifect the box fifty cents, and
I don't know if that's gonna be able to catch him.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
I think it will.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Well, I want to go back to some of you
said on Wednesday show, because Matthew De Santis copied you.
Speaker 2 (11:18):
Pat McKenna copied you. You told us to copy you
were like, so DJ Hot take you over here, guys,
he likes he likes all chan Yes, it's being the
Tommy Hot takes.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Yeah, Tommy Hot takes.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
He was when you said that this is like the best,
the best field, yeah, for for the travers.
Speaker 2 (11:36):
He was.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Everyone who sat down after you, He's like like if
somebody was sweaming the floor, did you hear Tony?
Speaker 3 (11:43):
It was the best the best field ever the travers.
Speaker 2 (11:45):
What do you think?
Speaker 3 (11:46):
So I did say best, I said best sixty.
Speaker 4 (11:50):
Yes, yeah, I would include even the Pharaoh year because
it was Pharaoh and nobody else and he lost.
Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yeah, so so yeah, so everyone, I guess it worries.
Speaker 3 (11:58):
Every question was uh, we asked everybody about that, and
for those who had missed it on Wednesday, you would
say that on Wednesday, and now here is Friday. I
don't think you're moving off that point.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
It still feels strong and still feels to Italian and
stubborn and move off. You can literally put evidence in
front of me and how I'd.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Be like, no, yeah, exactly.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
I mean it's it's it's becoming more and more exciting
as we get closer to it, like this is this
is one of the first years where I'm in town
for the Traverse, So like normally I'm already figured out
where I'm gonna watch it all that this one, I'm like.
Speaker 4 (12:30):
This is your way hinting that you need seats.
Speaker 2 (12:32):
Yeah, well, I mean I'm not. I wasn't hinting that
I had seats, but now that now that you mentioned no,
But it's just I mean, the the.
Speaker 1 (12:43):
Stories are starting to build in my head, so it's
it's becoming more and more exciting. And then when you
pick an Unmatched Wisdom instead of Sierra Leone Fierceness, door Knock, Like,
that's that's exciting to me because it's another horse that
I wasn't really paying attention to.
Speaker 2 (12:56):
So now I gotta go study that.
Speaker 4 (12:57):
I feel like a lot of horses win that I
don't pay attention, so you don't have to feel bad
about that. But look, I think there's some great storylines.
If you look at the card, it's an unbelievable day
of racing. You know, we're gonna be televising that race,
the Travers and a bunch of other big stakes races
on Fox Broadcast Network from three o'clock to six thirty.
So if you can't make it to the races, watch
(13:19):
open your iro bets account. We've got a promotional offer
a free fifty dollars play and a deposit matchup to
two hundred fifty bucks. So if you like Unmatched Wisdom
and you take that free fifty dollars play and that
horse wins at eight to one, you're gonna make a
quick fourunner fifty bucks. So you can't go wrong with that.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
I could do something. You can finally buy your PlayStation.
Speaker 3 (13:36):
Honest, that's the math ads up there, that's perfect, the
math ma your video game guy, what's your game? Well,
I'm trying to get NCAA football.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
It's so good, it's so good, it's so good. It's
it's pretty embarrassing when I'm playing at like one in
the morning and I'm talking trash, and I realized on
the other end, it's like an eight year old kid.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
Yea. The problem is it's gods, he's in my house
playing It just sounds like an eight year old.
Speaker 3 (13:58):
It's just what that game for the whole system. My
whole summer's been about giving the PlayStation five and make decisions,
PlayStation five, daycare, feeding my children, and honestly, it's been
weighing back and forth on me and the road to
the PS five.
Speaker 2 (14:11):
As I've said, the summer has taken some detours.
Speaker 4 (14:13):
Yeah, it's not so. When I when I first started
working in New York, I was, you know, basically cooped
up in an apartment in Long Island by myself, so
all I did was played Madden. I played Madden NonStop,
and I would at one point I was ranked in
the top two hundred in the world. Talk about it's like.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Ten million rights.
Speaker 7 (14:31):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
What I quickly learned was once you get in the
top hundred, those guys are unbelievable.
Speaker 8 (14:39):
Right.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
I would play guys that were the top hundred, I'd
go down the field, I'd score on the first drive,
and I end up losing the game thirty five to
seven because they would make so many adjustments on every
play where you could hike the ball.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
It was nuts.
Speaker 4 (14:53):
But uh yeah, I'm a big fan of man. But
the new the NCAA game is awesome. You've you've got
to play. What team you gonna play with?
Speaker 3 (15:00):
Syracuse?
Speaker 4 (15:01):
Oh, they're so good in that game. Let me know,
let me know. We could play. I met a guy
I was playing that I'm now friends with. We play.
We're playing online, and my strategy is if you can't
stop but play, I will literally no huddle and run
that play twenty five consecutive.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
Right.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
It just in suriates I had people, I should send
you some screen grabs the messages they would send me,
like the things they would would call me, and and
then whenever they do that, I write back and I say,
just you know, I'm only nine years old. Yeah, and
then I couldn't apologize. I'm so sorry. I had no idea.
So I'm playing this guy on and I know him,
(15:41):
and we'ron headset. He's asked actually a high school football
coach in Pennsylvania, and I start doing the same running
the same play. Oh running. He's like this, He's just screaming,
this is ridiculous. Nobody, this isn't real football. I go
in real football. If you can't stop and play, you're
a coach. Aren't you gonna keep running it until they
stop it?
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Nobody does that.
Speaker 4 (15:58):
We got to stop it. Figure way to stop it.
And then I lined up this. I tell you exactly
what play you're running right now, and he calls it
now that I said, listen, it's like the rain. Just
because you know it's coming, it doesn't mean you could
stop it. And the guy says, you're the kind of
guy that in high school, if I saw you in
the hallway, I want to beat you up right now.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
I'm the kind of guy. And that's what I.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Ended up doing his wedding for him. I had married him,
and that's great.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
I'm gonna say that's what I would have fired back
with Well, I didn't peak in high school like some people.
Speaker 4 (16:25):
So yeah, so now we know.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Look back, you guys, you got twenty five?
Speaker 4 (16:30):
You played Tony All?
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah? Absolutely, oh yeah. Do you play with Michigan? Are
you really? I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (16:37):
The playbook's great, and the fact that I can yell
there's another orgy in the end zone everything, I'm all
about that. I mean, for those of you who don't know,
look up the quarterback from Michigan.
Speaker 4 (16:51):
When my thirteen year old says to me, the quarterback's
name is Orgie, Dad, Yeah, yeah.
Speaker 3 (16:58):
Or John or Jo please it is?
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Yeah. Yeah, but that's I mean, it's it's what are
you gonna do when when big old, when big Orgies
on the way? Yeah, no, stop.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
So what happens to you know, Tony? You finish off
New York and you're back to California for months?
Speaker 2 (17:13):
You leave us?
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Yeah, they're basically we'll see if they invite me back.
Hopefully they do. You know, this doesn't help, no theme
more time to play.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Yeah, Honestly, I don't think we help ourselves when we're
on the airline, perfectly honest.
Speaker 2 (17:30):
But we do it again. Uh, you have tribute for
I got a question.
Speaker 4 (17:34):
Okay, so we know that there's a Philly torpedo Anna
running in the uh in the travers in what decade
was the last time, the only time, if there was
a time that a Philly crossed the finish lines first
in the travers? Do you know this?
Speaker 2 (17:55):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (17:56):
All right, all right, so hang on a second, just
a decade. Okay, we're thinking of the tachad here. I
don't think there's been more than ten Phillies.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Who have run. Okay, okay, so I'm doing.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Math in my head here, but don't do that.
Speaker 4 (18:06):
Don't do that.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
I feel like that there's ten smell that burning won
every ten years. That's like a hundred Rachel Alexandra did
not run in it. She ran the woodward. I think
you're corrac Wow. Okay, well, there's.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
Not a lot in there. But what is this?
Speaker 4 (18:23):
If God's head explodes right now? It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (18:27):
We're this is like John Edwards getting a vision right
now here?
Speaker 2 (18:31):
Gee is it?
Speaker 4 (18:32):
I want to play you football, delay a game and
you overstinking what you're doing every play?
Speaker 2 (18:36):
All right?
Speaker 3 (18:36):
So ten times ten is one hundred. So one hundred
years ago was the nineteen twenties. But I think it's
either the nineteen tens or the nineteen twenties.
Speaker 2 (18:46):
That's a long time ago.
Speaker 4 (18:47):
So I'm gonna repeat the question. Okay, it was the
last time a Philly, the only time or the last
time that a Philly crossed the line first? In the Travelers.
Speaker 2 (18:57):
Affiliate, it's never.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
I think it's I'm gonna say that nineteen tenths is
my guest. I'm gonna go with the nineteen ten you're
gonna say, I'm gonna say never. So technically the words
he said across the line first, yes.
Speaker 4 (19:11):
Nineteen fifteen. But the horse did not cross the line first.
She wand through disqualification. Lady Rotha, I say you got
You're not gonna listen.
Speaker 2 (19:21):

Speaker 2 (20:14):

I might write that, I really might.
Speaker 2 (29:18):
I would. Hey, it's leven, guys.
Speaker 1 (29:21):
We're live here in the Traveling GT Toys studio that's
Toys with a Z. Travers Weekend is upon us. It's
it's as busy as it has.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Been when we've been here.
Speaker 1 (29:34):
Even like I would say at this point, like remember
we did we did Belmont Day, we were set up early.
I would say, it's as busy right now as it
was early on Belmont Day.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
It feels Yeah, it does feel like a little bit
like the Bellmont. The whole summer and bustle. The whole
summer's felt different, and it goes back to Holli way
of June. Like the schedule has been different, the weather
has been better than ever before. It's just twenty twenty
four is carving out its own identity because of the
Belmont like that, because huz of the travers stakes in
the field that it looks like here, and you know,
I know people don't want to keep hearing it over
(30:05):
and over and over again. But eventually, maybe this is
the last year where like COVID is not impacting anything,
people seem to be back in their routine with a
different schedule. Twenty twenty four is different at Saratoga, but
you're right, like the energy is different on a Friday
at Saratoga, and the energy is different on a Friday
at Saratoga one day before the travestakes.
Speaker 1 (30:24):
And it might be very different for me because this
is the first one I've done in years and years
and years and years.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Actually, no, I was here last year, wasn't I didn't.
I knew I did it last year.
Speaker 3 (30:32):
I think I think you did. But previous to that
we thought have been talking twenty sixteen, maybe.
Speaker 1 (30:38):
Maybe even because usually, like you know, you gotta use
that vaca you get out of town. I did it
earlier this year because of my daughter's once and apparently
you have to take care of your kid forever. It
doesn't stop at like seven or eight, which I thought
was ridiculous. What yeah, I thought you just handed a
couple twenties and good luck with your life. Nope, you
gotta keep taking care of them. Go outside a gain
(31:02):
Son's eaty day, so needy now, So we're here for
the travers overget the nine am everything gets opened up
Tomorrow eleven twenty is the first post on on Traver's Day,
so a full day of racing. I think there's a
race like every twenty five minutes right up until the
last couple. So you won't you want to see some
racing tomorrow right here at the Saratoga Race Course.
Speaker 2 (31:26):
Travers Day is upon us. Man.
Speaker 1 (31:31):
There's a couple of different things that I wanted to
talk about. We don't have a ton of time because
we went a little long. I guess how about this
you want to Did you notice.
Speaker 2 (31:39):
The and you might have? I think you.
Speaker 1 (31:41):
I think you definitely alluded to this yesterday. But after
I took the time to really look at it and
realize that you're you're you're dead on the Mets. If
the Mets are going to get that wild card, it's
gonna be in the next next road trip. I mean
you you've you've got the teams in front of you
right now, and you're going to them if you go
and you can and you can close the gap, if
(32:02):
you can win these games these next six actually I'll
say nine games, just because you got the White Sox
in there. So if you can, you can beat up
on the teams you need to beat up on and
then pad a little bit of a lead with a
with a nice two or three wins against the White Sox,
the Mets could be on the like on the way
to the postseason.
Speaker 2 (32:19):
This is when they can do it.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
This season has decided over the worst.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
What what happened? What Wi Fi? Are you using? What
Wi Fi? Am? I? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (32:26):
I think NI are you? Because it does not like
me as much as it liked you. I can't open
three windows and you.
Speaker 2 (32:32):
You've got like you've got like fifty. Maybe that's why
maybe you're using it all? Sorry, go ahead?
Speaker 3 (32:38):
Should I close it?
Speaker 2 (32:38):
No?
Speaker 28 (32:39):
No?
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Well, I mean just make sure you're not using this one.
That's all. That's all I was worried about. All right.
Speaker 3 (32:43):
Uh to your question about the Mets, Uh, yeah, I
would look at what New York's doing over the next
few games versus the Diamondbacks of the Potters, and say
that decides season, that it goes back to what we
did almost pre All Star breaking. You remember this exercise
that it had us all due. Luckily didn't sweat after
field tired. I said, the Nationals is this year that
can decide where it looks. But the Nationals tanked. The
Nationals are so unbelievably bad this season. I could not
(33:04):
believe the stat about washing yesterday. Patrick Corbyn, who Yankee
fans who can still celebrate even though he's had the
upstate New York connection. Yesterday was the.
Speaker 2 (33:12):
First time, Am I right? You like that? Yeah? Yesterday
was the.
Speaker 3 (33:17):
First time thirty seven starts that the Nationals were favored
when he took them ount.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
How bad is that?
Speaker 3 (33:25):
You're the million dollars, one hundred million dollars pitcher, You're
the big acquisition. They hadn't been favored since he took
them out in thirty seven starts. They finally were favored yesterday.
So Nationals are out of it, but Diamondbacks and Packs
still clear.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
He's all right, I'm not I'm not feeling bad for him.
Speaker 3 (33:40):
Yes, The point of that was that the Nationals could
have thought they were a contender back in late June,
early July or not. They don't have the tawl their
farm systems like nothing like it was in the early
twenty tens, in like two thousands, But the Mets had
been diamondbacks and potters. And asked you this question earlier
this week. Are they just flat out not as good
as Arizona? Are they just flat out not as good
as San Diego? I would feel talent on talent, I
(34:02):
would still take see you have in Arizona, and they
both been more proven than the Mets over the course
of the years.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
But that whole thing can all change.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
The narratives can change, the season can change if they
look into those two matchups, as you mentioned, you get
the White Sox later on, and you get some kind
of matchups all over the place. I know Philadelphia, they
have seven games coming up with the Phillies in September.
Philly stinks. What the world happened? We do, but we
do this all the time. Like usually the power rankings
(34:30):
in the NFL drive me nuts. But when we've talked
about the best teams in baseball, teams like the Phillies.
It was a team to beat. I'm watching more and
more Philly baseball because I have Bryce Harper and our homework.
He stinks every time I need Philly.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
To do so. But they don't look like this Warmer
and my home run parlay today, not not Chrice. It
looks like a different team.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
So the Mets maybe benefiting from the lack of success,
and I'll be played with that success of the n
L least can benefit. But you're I'm with you on that.
It was mine take originally. Joy Sometimes you agree with me.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Well, it's and it takes usually takes a day for
me to accept it. All right. So the Mets already
win the first one they go. They win eight three yesterday,
so today they are a plus one twenty.
Speaker 1 (35:17):
And that's with Blackbird on the mound. And remember Blackbird's
the guy you went and got before the trade deadline.
Good move, solid move. If he gets it, he gives
you six six two thirds, bullpen doesn't explode.
Speaker 2 (35:29):
You're you could win another one.
Speaker 1 (35:30):
I mean, there there's a there's a chance you get
within a game or two of both of these.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
Teams in the wild card.
Speaker 1 (35:38):
And there's also a chance that with the White Sox
coming up after that, you can completely close the gap.
Speaker 2 (35:44):
So it's it's.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
As I mentioned, I just if you're a Mets fan,
you were pretty much told by Uncle Steve, hey, this
ain't the year. And if you didn't, if he didn't
say it directly, he said it with his wallet. So
if you're the fact that you're still playing meaningful baseball,
and that's just playing meaningful baseball, not like, oh look
at you guys, showed up.
Speaker 2 (36:06):
Here's your participation ribbon.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Like you've got the schedule in front of you built
to give you a chance to make that wildcard spot.
You've got to feel pretty good. And I'm and again
for me, I know you hate this part. I think
you're you're behind where you're supposed you're You're not behind
where you're supposed to be. You're where you're supposed to be.
If he's gonna make the moves you expect them to
(36:28):
make next year, if if if you're gonna spend the
money you're supposed to spend next year. Because if Diaz
is healthy and you know, not worried about whatever is
in his head after he hurt himself in a weird way,
all these things if they all come together, which there's
no reason to believe they won't unless you're pessimistic, You're
gonna be a straight up contender next year. You said it,
What the hell happened to the Phillies? What's up with
(36:50):
the Braves? What is what's going on the Nationals? You
talk about a swoon you have. This is a team
that had every big free agent, every big name, every
person that you could want every year, and now they
got none.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Like it's it could very well be you.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
What if next year is the Mets in Miami fighting
it out from the nl E. I mean, there's no
reasonably it won't to happen. So I'm a Mets fan.
Speaker 2 (37:16):
I know God hates you, and I know he talks
what so much smack about you and I and you
know you. You know. I was just going on what
I read on X. It's true.
Speaker 3 (37:25):
It's everything I read on X is in true. Robert's okay,
I don't think Mike's. I think that's Mike Suess's burner account.
Zach has been fine, Zach. So this is a big
Mets fan. I don't have any Met hate.
Speaker 2 (37:34):
I've been to.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
I went to the sack, Zacha closet.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
Yes, no he's not.
Speaker 3 (37:38):
He's burns blue an orange inside that soul of his.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
He doesn't have a soul. He works in radio. You
don't get that back until you until what twenty years in.
I think your first year a sniff of your soul again.
Speaker 3 (37:48):
Just last year, he was young, filled with energy.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Now he's hunched over in the corner.
Speaker 3 (37:53):
Young promo tac gonna start his career fresh out of Oswego. Now,
is he didn't listen to the advice you've given me
some STNG I've known you took title. Yeah, it's trapped
now he's waking up early.
Speaker 1 (38:05):
As much as you're joking, think about that. Zach wouldn't
shut the hell up. A year ago, Zach wouldn't shut up.
He was just like so excited to be there and
be part of the conversation.
Speaker 2 (38:16):
Now unless he has something.
Speaker 1 (38:17):
To say, Zach, don't say a word like how quick
he learned that faster?
Speaker 2 (38:21):
You still haven't learned that? Lie?
Speaker 3 (38:22):
No, somehow hate need to talking to this phoned.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
There was literally a back and forth with Zach and I,
like a year ago where I was just like, dude.
Speaker 2 (38:29):
I'm talking like sh like I was. I was happy.
Speaker 1 (38:34):

I had a buddy come over look at my furnace
this morning. Else think it's money, No, it's it's I
don't even know what we're talking about it. We were
talking about a wager I fired off eight nine. We
were talking about college You're trailing by twenty.
Speaker 1 (45:12):
Dollars right now, so if you win, you could very
well catch me today on this one college football the
what's the likely to be? There's not a lot of
people playing with the teams that are out there right now.
Speaker 2 (45:23):
How much of the well you you like?
Speaker 3 (45:26):
One of your plays so far is Georgia Tech. I
love Georgia Tech in week zero. I love that bet.
I'm not thrilled with the idea that that line has
moved from about thirteen and a half to about eleven
if you're looking at it.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
It was down to ten and a half yesterday's back
up to eleven and a half today.
Speaker 3 (45:42):
Some people would probably just either pass on this game
because it's so early in week zero, and a lot
of people try to stay away from that man because
the games in Dublin. What's the field condition's gonna look like?
Is that going to be an issue? New quarteracks dj OUI,
I feel like I've not nailed it still after five years,
big sinko. But I like Georgia Tech because they blew
(46:03):
out everybody from the athletic director to the head coach,
to the players, and they said, Okay, we're gonna restart
this whole thing in twenty twenty three. And this is
an odd compliment, but this is the world we live
in now. In college athletics, they were a mediocre team
last year. They were okay, middle of the road average.
Almost everybody stayed. Think about that, if your average in
(46:26):
your team stays together, that's almost a great thing. Because
if you're an average team and you got like five
to ten really good guys, they're all gonna jump and
hit the portal. Because you're average. You're not a contender.
But the fact that you're an average team and you
stood together means they're probably gonna be much improved in
twenty twenty four. So I love Georgia Tech, and I
like Montana State, even though that lion's creeping up. The
thirteen and a half FCS team a two touchdown favorite.
(46:49):
But Dublin. You know, Baseball gets a lot of grief
for starting the season in different countries. Football gets some grief,
but not as much anymore about the Thursday ninth game.
Basketball more so has the debut the champion. I'm okay
with week zero in Dublin. I'm gonna be watching.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
You're okay with it or not, it's happening, so so
you're gonna to get used to it. All right.
Speaker 3 (47:12):
Let me go back then, I thought, and you sniffed
this out a long time ago. It felt like Week
zero was just a gimmicky week one year because of
because of situations that were going on.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
We're on the radio.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
Yeah, yeah, week zero's just seemed gimmicky. Okay, A certain
sponsor wanted week zero, so we're gonna do away with
him the sponsorship d and they never did away with it,
even though high school football.
Speaker 2 (47:32):
Has it now.
Speaker 3 (47:34):
The I'm not having a good day because of that guy.
I think he might be the guy too. He at
least looks like they all look the same to me.
He's insulting you before we went to the air.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Yeah, what did he want, Zach?
Speaker 4 (47:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (47:48):
Did he tell you what he wants? Should we make the.
Speaker 3 (47:51):
Headphones go ahead?
Speaker 4 (47:52):
Zach?
Speaker 2 (47:53):
I don't really know what he wants.
Speaker 35 (47:54):
He just keeps coming by and saying something every time.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
Yeah, I mean they are alive.
Speaker 1 (48:01):
Yeah, I mean, but if he tells you what he
wants is something we want to hear, we might let
him sit but yeah, like a pic.
Speaker 2 (48:05):
Yeah, but I still I'm not positive that he's not
the one to call me fat earlier either. So so
he looks the he looks the part.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
He looks like he keept sucking catching my face. He
saw that right, yeah, like as if he was buying this,
which he can come back.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
And give me money.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
I will not stop that man from giving me money.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
So this is this is what I've done with so
far today. I got I just since I got here.
There's a Carnegie Deli sign in front of us. And
while we were setting up, a guy goes, oh, Carnegie.
Delly looks at me and he goes, you've had a
couple of those sandwiches. Gee, And I didn't catch it.
I'm like, excuse me, and then I politely gt f
(48:48):
o'ed him.
Speaker 1 (48:51):
And then you guys cropped us to be like a monster.
Speaker 36 (48:56):
You.
Speaker 2 (48:57):
I didn't want to.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
I was sitting here and then all of the sudden,
I hear your trouser trumpet go off, and I'm like, right,
like I have pink.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
I now you were so close to me.
Speaker 3 (49:11):
I think it's a crazy accusation, and I don't want
to complain to Pat mccannay, it could be a piping situation.
Speaker 2 (49:16):
It sounded like, oh, it's a pipe alight. It's yeah,
it's your it's your.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
Poop pipe, and you need and it needs to be plugged,
and you got a problem. I also like to had
one other detail about the Carnegie insult that was fired
your way. The sign that we're in front of with Carnegie.
It's not just a sandwich.
Speaker 2 (49:33):
Yeah, it's like it's like a.
Speaker 3 (49:35):
It's a two foot tall sandwich like that.
Speaker 35 (49:38):
Really, it's like a dozen decker sandwich right there. It's
just going with it.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
Yeah. Really, he called me fat, is what he did.
Speaker 1 (49:45):
And then and again, it's not that it's not that
I'm unaware. I mean, I don't have some religion that
doesn't allow me have mirrors in my house. Like I
I'm aware of the fact that I'm fat. It's just
like I don't know, you shut up before I throw
you over the railing. That's I mean, I think that's
simple and easy and the way it should be.
Speaker 2 (50:02):
And then I said, you farting on me. Not allegedly,
there's no alleged to it.
Speaker 35 (50:09):
Look as outside witnessed, there was a large clearing that occurred.
There was a there was a a large area that
no one would occupy for a time.
Speaker 1 (50:19):
Right because it was zone defense. Yeah bye by Tommy,
buttubo over here.
Speaker 2 (50:25):
It's it's it was. It's a problem is what it is.
And he should be a shame and then he and
then he goes, wow, taco Tuesday, It's Friday.
Speaker 1 (50:34):
How many tacos did you have on Tuesday that you're
still you're still blowing your end.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
Sam out like what like what is going on around here?
Speaker 1 (50:42):
And and then you know, just one there was no
table Like I'm just I'm not having a great day.
Speaker 2 (50:46):
Okay, let's not have it a great day.
Speaker 3 (50:48):
Let's say that event may or may not have occurred.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
It happened.
Speaker 3 (50:52):
I was under a lot of stress at that point
because I had a pick three going. If you haven't
heard it from earlier in the show, I had to
pick three.
Speaker 2 (50:59):
I also had to say big three. And I didn't
air poop on anyone.
Speaker 3 (51:04):
It was a four to five roses for Deborah. I
will never forget you. You were sitting right there for me.
The PlayStation five that could smell it.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
Zach, No, that wasn't a PlayStation you can smell.
Speaker 3 (51:15):
Zach confirmed this.
Speaker 35 (51:16):
Let me tell you those roses were not good afterwards.
Speaker 2 (51:18):
No, they died. What they grow out of was all
over the place.
Speaker 3 (51:22):
Here's what else happened in that race that I haven't
shared with you yet. Back so, Zach and I rode
over today in the same vehicle. No, no, no, the
wonderful CRV thanks to the mohawk Kanda. I told Zach,
I said, Zach, can you just look at my phone
real quick? Can you see if the eight or the
two one in the first race? I think it was
the three in the eight, like checking the three in
the eight one and that was the exact exact I'm like, okay,
(51:44):
I'm not that upset as long as the three doesn't
win in race too. And sure enough, what happens the three?
Speaker 2 (51:51):
So I had so this is the excuse for pooping
on your partner.
Speaker 3 (51:54):
I was going for a lot of potential. Apparently there
was a lot happening there mentally.
Speaker 1 (51:59):
I yes, physically I've recovered, Yeah, but I haven't.
Speaker 2 (52:05):
I'm I'll get here.
Speaker 1 (52:06):
I'm gonna need I'm gonna get treated for pinky is
what's gonna happen. I've also discussed I've got PTSD, and.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
I just I don't. I don't know what to do.
I just don't. I feel I feel like it's an
HR situation and I don't know who HR is anymore.
Speaker 3 (52:21):
So here's what I'm gonna do. I've decided to do
this from now on because it makes no sense, but
it's working for me. I now stand up in my sex.
I stand up and watch the races now. So I'm

it's a it's like I know, we've always said this
is the fourth leg of the Triple Crown and all that,
you know, and I know you like the point out
it's not really the Midsummer Derby, but but it's you know,
it's it's the it's the next big race. But with
the other big race being here, it feels bigger, could.
Speaker 2 (01:00:03):
Be I like to hear it.
Speaker 36 (01:00:04):
Yeah, And it definitely feels bigger with the field we
have assembled because it is incredibly interesting, dynamic, tons of
talent and obviously the Philly torpedo Anna who is my pick?
Speaker 2 (01:00:13):
Okay, I like it see so about to unmatched wisdom.
Speaker 1 (01:00:21):
I like to keep in track of everybody so that
I can so next week I can congratulate you when
you're right.
Speaker 3 (01:00:26):
So there are some people who are gonna take the
Philly just because of the storyline, but we know you
well enough. It's not just because of the storyline. You've
seen the horse, you've heard the stories Ken McPeak and
everything else. You really think she can do it.
Speaker 36 (01:00:36):
Yeah, she's fast, she's just tough, and she can do
it great and it will. Yeah, and yes, it would
also be a fantastic story for the for the sport,
for Ken McPeak, and really encouraging people to take a shot.
You know, that's what this is all about. And kudos
to Kenny for putting the Philly in the travers against
the boys.
Speaker 3 (01:00:55):
I'm not judging you if you do this, but this,
this is a real thing.
Speaker 2 (01:00:58):
He's judging you.
Speaker 3 (01:01:00):
So I've been in media again judged. I've been in media.
Wrote before le beck is to media lane, whatever you
want to call. I've seen people the press box write
an article before the event happens. Let's say, for instance,
that happens and she wins. Have you guys already wrote
it and it's like a draft somewhere to save time
(01:01:22):
for Nayra.
Speaker 36 (01:01:23):
I mean there are pieces of a recap that you
can always do and no, I mean, yeah, you described,
you know, describe certain things, but no, they'll write it
at the time it's on deadline writing and reporting. Those
guys are great in the press box and of the
IRA press office.
Speaker 1 (01:01:40):
Can you think of the time that you were like
excited to write a certain story and it didn't come home.
Speaker 36 (01:01:44):
I don't actually write the advances of the recaps. That's yeah,
that's Keith McCalmont and the team in the office. So
I sort of think about the print this is going
to be boring, but kind of corporate communications, rapid response,
any kind of crisis stuff is me. And then you
got Keith McCalmont, who is managing everything that happens on
the track, so he gets the fun stuff and I
get the rest.
Speaker 2 (01:02:04):
You never got to do the writing on the way up.
Speaker 36 (01:02:05):
Or no, no, no, I didn't. Not that kind of writing.
Speaker 2 (01:02:10):
Straight into the evil, straight straight into the abyss.
Speaker 3 (01:02:12):
That's all the bad stuff.
Speaker 36 (01:02:15):
No, no, no, I can't believe me. I get to right,
it's like we're not going with God, just not about
the races themselves.
Speaker 4 (01:02:21):
Oh god, yeah.
Speaker 36 (01:02:22):
That's that is Uh, that's the stuff that Keith and
the team get to do.
Speaker 2 (01:02:27):
Oh, vice president communicator.
Speaker 36 (01:02:29):
There's plenty, there's plenty of work outside of that.
Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
Oh no, no, we know, we know you work like
you listen, you have.
Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
There is not a person here who doesn't point out
that your job is the one they don't want. You're
you're great at it. You you know, you're always there
for us whatever. There's a tough question to be answered.
Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
You know, I I I feel bad, but I also
greatly enjoy pushing the buttons that I know are there, like, well,
we're capped at fifty thousand.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
Of tomorrow, right, Like, it's just a fun button for
me to push.
Speaker 36 (01:03:00):
And honestly, it's about the fans. So if you're hearing
probably less for me, more about what's going on in
the races. That's always a good thing. But no, it's
great to be up here. It's been a phenomenal summer
and you're right starting with the Belmont, I mean that
weekend was was was unbelievable, definitely one of the more
exciting and memorable weekends in the history of Saratoga. And
(01:03:21):
we hope that tomorrow will unfold in a similar way.
Speaker 1 (01:03:24):
What's been your favorite part of this meet to this point?
Speaker 36 (01:03:29):
Good question, you know, I really love you know, maybe
this would say maybe this is a recency bias because
it was just a few hours ago. But seeing the
way that the people responded, that fans responded to the
dunk tank today was pretty amazing. You know, Saratoga always
has the feel of a country fair, but to have
that kind of a fair game, I don't know. It
was super fun and I loved it.
Speaker 2 (01:03:48):
Did we make enough to renovate the entire place?
Speaker 36 (01:03:51):
When Andy Serling was so all the all the money
went to best the Backstretch employee service team. They handle
the healthcare for the Backstretch community recently built a new
healthcare clinic back there, a permanent healthcare clinic with these
with the through the support of John Hendrickson. Actually, so
all the money is gonna go to that deserving nonprofit
(01:04:11):
service provider.
Speaker 3 (01:04:12):
I don't want to look past this weekend and the
travers But.
Speaker 36 (01:04:15):
Oh but I didn't answer your question. Yes way, I
always love Opening Day. I think Opening Day is great,
the way that people react to walking back into the
gates for the first time this year, and you know,
a month five weeks and change, but ordinarily to see
the smiles and people walking in here happy, that's the goal.
We just want people to come enjoy themselves, be happy,
(01:04:36):
make a few bucks, and enjoy their friends and family.
Speaker 3 (01:04:39):
I'm sure we'll catch you one more time next product
from our finals show, but we're going to talk about
the travers in twenty twenty five. We've mentioned the Bellmont
twenty five travers twenty five Bellma. If you start to
prep for that, have the prep reach, preparations already begun.
Speaker 2 (01:04:53):
Yeah, summer's already close to being over. This guy's already
put it away, put.
Speaker 36 (01:04:58):
It in the bucks. Yeah, yeah, you'll see it throughout
the property. Actually, one of the chief complaints we heard
that we need to be responsive to is men's bathroom
lines were extraordinarily long. I don't know what that says
about the demographics of the Belmont Stakes, but no, it
was an issue. People were in line for far longer
than than they should have been. So this weekend we've
added a whole bunch of those bathroom trailers. Not exciting,
(01:05:21):
but it's an example of us trying to work through
some of those issues right now tomorrow, since we're here
and that way, we'll be prepared for the Belmont in June.
Speaker 1 (01:05:28):
So gons there's plenty of place to treat you to
a bathroom instead of dropping wind over here.
Speaker 2 (01:05:32):
That's not what again, those are I don't want to
talk about, but something I think honestly, someone should be
asked to leave.
Speaker 36 (01:05:39):
And also, this isn't this is a really this is
an old building.
Speaker 2 (01:05:42):
So yeah, thank you. Yeah, you gotta bear with wow.
I've never I've never I'm twitter.
Speaker 1 (01:05:49):
No, I was gonna give it out, but I'm not
that mean of a person.
Speaker 2 (01:05:56):
Great job. All all meet.
Speaker 36 (01:05:58):
Guys to thank you for being here. This place would
not as popular and appealing as it is without all
of the media covers that we're fortunate to have day in,
day out and throughout the year, especially us, especially you guys.
And Tony made it up today.
Speaker 2 (01:06:11):
He did, he did well.
Speaker 1 (01:06:13):
He says he's not gonna be here next week, so
you wanted to make sure he got it. We we
we exchange gamer tacks. We're gonna play n C DOUA
A twenty five against each other. Nice, so pretty excited.
Speaker 36 (01:06:21):
Hope the West Coast guys, you're gonna have to deal
with the time change. In certain parts of the year.
Speaker 2 (01:06:26):
Yeah, I'm miserable anyway, it doesn't matter. I can be up.
It's fine. You met my co host. It's it's a problem.
Speaker 36 (01:06:31):
What are the games these days? FIFA still the things.
Speaker 1 (01:06:35):
FIFA, Madden it just is about to come out or
just came out. But the college football game just it's
back now for the first time. Right, So that's been
that's been the big one for everybody.
Speaker 36 (01:06:44):
We had some college coaches here early in the meet
before they get their summer training camps going. Ryan Day
was here from Ohio State. They cried, who's that old
Eagles coach who's now a coordinator somewhere at coach UCLA
for a while. Idea Sometimes I don't even know. Sometimes
people want to just come and be a fan out here.
I am outing them, so.
Speaker 2 (01:07:04):
Well, yeah, but you wait until they were gone. That
was That's nice.
Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
I need more inside baseball questions, so like, you know,
they're here, but do they actually have to reach out
to be like, hey, coach is coming. We need this
type of accommodation.
Speaker 2 (01:07:14):
Okay, you know, there's nothing, there's nothing to set up
for him.
Speaker 36 (01:07:18):
So they here's a story about something like that. I
was walking. This was two thousand and either sixteen or seventeen.
They kind of blend together, and I feel like it
was kind of relatively late in the meat so little.
But I'm walking from the office back over here towards
the clubhouse and I look up and say, is that
Alex Ferguson Manchester United? For sure enough? Walking by? I
(01:07:42):
went to someone who would have known. I said, really,
that's not something that we could have known in advance.
I guess he just showed up. He's a big, big
racing guy, pay chorus owner. And there was Sir Alex Ferguson.
Speaker 2 (01:07:52):
Wow, that's that's awesome. I mean it it is.
Speaker 36 (01:07:55):
Avery Johnson's been here for a few days. Might have
seen him on television yesterday. He's a huge fan, spends
a lot of time up here, doesn't ask for anything
at all. They just love being here.
Speaker 1 (01:08:04):
So so what you're saying is that we're more demanding
than the famous people.
Speaker 36 (01:08:07):
Uh yeah, but they're here to have a good time.
Where he's here on the job.
Speaker 2 (01:08:10):
I like he's good. He's good at the spinding.
Speaker 36 (01:08:13):
That's a very different dynamic.
Speaker 3 (01:08:15):
Where's Jason Worth right now? Is he here today?
Speaker 36 (01:08:17):
Probably over that way yes, he's here. He threw about
six heaters at Andy Sterling in the Dunktown. He really
missed all of them. Bad Sling was hackling him, as
you can imagine that. And then and then Jason walked
up and punched the pusher with his hand. Nice, yeah, nice,
always a pro move. I love it the arm that
it looks a little creaky to me.
Speaker 3 (01:08:37):
Well listen, anybody's not. Yeah you think creak away. Yeah,
I'm good with it.
Speaker 36 (01:08:41):
Someone someone said or wrote to me that, uh, the
Yankees were close to getting him, or Yankees were in
the market room. I don't remember that there was.
Speaker 1 (01:08:51):
There's every name is rumored to go to the because
that's how you get more money, that's how you get
better point. Yeah, like I'm rumored to go to the Yeah, right, yeah,
we both.
Speaker 2 (01:09:00):
I saw that same tradero we were. We the same one.
Speaker 36 (01:09:02):
They're ready to pay so right through the figures.
Speaker 3 (01:09:05):
Have either one of you heard the story about Jason
Worth's final at that how his career ended. If you
shared that story, maybe he'll share it tomorrow. But Worth
retired in the middle of the season when his career
really and yeah, he retired. He's like, you know, what
I'm done. But what he did was he had a
buddy who played softball, so he just randomly showed up
to the softball I heard about this hit a moonshot, yeah,
seven hundred feet Instead, I'm never playing baseball again. And
(01:09:27):
it's really so. I think the barstool guys got that.
But that's Jason worth Send. Maybe that's why he hadn't
thrown a baseball, and god knows how well he was great.
Speaker 36 (01:09:35):
And listen, if Dornick wins tomorrow, that should be quite
the scene in the Winter Circle.
Speaker 2 (01:09:39):
Yeah. I can't wait. I mean, that's even the stable.
The doorknock stables look up beautiful too.
Speaker 36 (01:09:44):
I got to see those, uh a little tour nice.
Speaker 2 (01:09:46):
So that was awesome to say.
Speaker 1 (01:09:48):
All right, well you have to put up with this
at least one more time this season.
Speaker 36 (01:09:51):
Look forward to it as always, gentlemen.
Speaker 2 (01:09:53):
Pat McKenna, and we appreciate you.
Speaker 4 (01:09:55):
You don't it.
Speaker 2 (01:09:55):
Don't make me do this to the four guys.
Speaker 36 (01:09:57):
Where's the NFL start before NFL is next weekend? Next weekend?
Speaker 7 (01:10:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:10:00):
Yeah, so you get the final week of preseason, week
zero of the college season, and all this weekend and
then then we get after looking not great, not great,
but again it was he's only seemed like a handful
of plays since he had his a c L repair,
So I think he'll be all right.
Speaker 2 (01:10:19):
I think was that only he shouldn't.
Speaker 1 (01:10:22):
He shouldn't look good yet, So we'll see. We'll see
how you have about Rogers.
Speaker 2 (01:10:27):
He hasn't, hasn't just practice, just practice. But they did
practice against the giants, and he did eat up the giants.
Speaker 36 (01:10:34):
It seems like those joint practices are just an excuse
to fight.
Speaker 2 (01:10:37):
I think that's the case.
Speaker 1 (01:10:38):
But I also think the last they're gonna the more
they expand the regular season, the less they'll do the
preseason games. And I think they want us all to
pay attention to those joint practices because those will be
what they show us to get us through. I think
it's a little sneakiness, is what I think it is.
Here's a workout, watch it is good, and then.
Speaker 36 (01:10:57):
Just ring the bell. All of a sudden, there's those
funny football fights, and there's apping each other in full
ads and elements.
Speaker 1 (01:11:05):
All right, Pat, well, we appreciate your brother, and I'm
not gonna do the I'm not doing the Chevy read
in front of you.
Speaker 3 (01:11:11):
We gotta talk about Mohawks Chevrolet back. Not only love
Mohawk Mohawks Chevrolet. Not only is it love it Zach
compliments you when we part next to you to day
about your beautiful dish of scargeon.
Speaker 1 (01:11:22):
I know, I just saw I've got a beautiful widow Silverado.
I added the light bar speed bar on the back
over the week. Okay, she looks mean, she's black widow,
so I call her Scargill Scarlet Johnson.
Speaker 2 (01:11:33):
You know so, of course.
Speaker 1 (01:11:35):
But because I wanted the vehicle, I've looked for it.
They got me. She's a COVID truck. She's so, she's
a year old, but she never was driven, so I
was able to get her cheaper.
Speaker 36 (01:11:44):
Any symptoms nothing, No.
Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
She isn't nothing.
Speaker 1 (01:11:51):
Yeah, one symptom affordable for me. That's the only one.
Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
But no, whatever you're looking for now with with sellar
pricing and everything going on in Mohawk chevroll, now is
the time to get on over there, get your service
taken care of. But check the lot. Look at all
the great vehicles.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
I got to drive the EV Trailblazer while she was
getting that that bar put on her, and that's a
cool ride, man. They add noise to it when you're
at low speeds so that you don't run people over
hear you're coming. It's the coolest thing, man. It's a
lot of great vehicles over there. They got the ev
Silverado now and a couple Corvettes on the lot. For
those of you looking for the VET, it is there
ready for you at Mohawk Chevrolet, just off Exit twelve
(01:12:28):
of the North Way.
Speaker 2 (01:12:28):
Together, let's drive at Molwak Chevy where they always go
out of their way to please you. I'm sorry, Patty

Speaker 36 (01:12:36):

Sorry to the sponsors that interpt smooth, smooth.
Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
No, nothing smooth about it. That's what makes it live.
That's that's the good part of it all.
Speaker 2 (01:12:46):
Pad Man. Thank you, we appreciate you.
Speaker 36 (01:12:48):
We got your top four over there. The fellas, what's
that nothing? Some friends over there I see in the distance, Well, yeah,
bring them over friends.
Speaker 2 (01:12:58):
I believe that. I don't. I don't believe. It's just you'll.
You know what they say about you on Twitter?
Speaker 36 (01:13:04):

I feel like that's what the mantra of the last
two years.
Speaker 2 (01:13:12):
Yeah, not this year.
Speaker 36 (01:13:14):
It's been pretty We've actually had almost as much more
rain this year than last year. Really, Yeah, the differences.
We haven't had the washouts that we had last year,
so it's been a little harder to kind of pick
up on. But we're nearly at eleven inches of rain.
Last year we had about ten point six.
Speaker 2 (01:13:27):
Yeah, I didn't know that.
Speaker 36 (01:13:28):
Yeah, alright, Well, and we've had a lot of rain
on Wednesdays and some of the dark days.
Speaker 2 (01:13:33):
Yeah, but last year was every weekend.
Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
Yeah, it was every week and got you there was
no turf racing on the weekend, if there was racing
at all.
Speaker 2 (01:13:39):
Yeah. You had the one rain out this year, but
that's yea.
Speaker 36 (01:13:42):

Four, the four bigges stories in the world of sports.
Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
It is brought to you by Mohawk Hondor, where they
always go out of their way to please you.
Speaker 2 (01:18:47):
Guys. What's the fourth biggest story?
Speaker 3 (01:18:48):
Let's talk preseason football?
Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
Right you should okay? Still okay?
Speaker 3 (01:18:53):
Yes, Friday Night Action includes the Jaguars tacking on the Falcons,
the Dolphins and the Buccaneers, the forty nine Ers and
the Raiders. By the way, we're going back to that
a little later on. The forty nine Ers and the
Raiders for the play of the day. If you have not, really,
if you have not been following the madness involving that
preseason game, involving your team, the Raiders, what you're talking about,
I will tell you more about that coming up before
(01:19:13):
we break this hour. Also, games of note this weekend
include the Panthers and the Bills it's a one o'clock
kick On Saturday, the Jets and the Giants in the
Snoopy Bowl aka formerly known as the Snoopy Bowl, not
known as the Poopy Bowl. In fact, there's a lot
to dive into, but unfortunately, it seems like Week three
(01:19:34):
of the preseason is the weakest week of all of them.
It seems like week more of the preseason needs to
be laughable and embarrassing somehow Week three scotten worse or
might being too critical of what the preseason looks like. Now, yeah, no, no, no, no,
it's it's poopy.
Speaker 1 (01:19:50):
So I've got the NFL app there. So I watched
the condensed versions of yesterday's games.
Speaker 3 (01:19:58):
You know what I want to know, Booby, they actually play.
Speaker 2 (01:20:03):
So it's Anthony Richardson looks like dog dudoo, Like he's
just bad.
Speaker 1 (01:20:08):
He can't read a defense to save his life. The
speed by with you, which you do math in your head.
He reads defenses.
Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
That Bengal defender, what was he looking at him? It's
his chest.
Speaker 2 (01:20:21):
It is not is not good. But on top of
that the the Bears.
Speaker 1 (01:20:29):
Really wanted to beat the Chiefs even though it wasn't
like all the starters. But this the star of that
game was Cadarius Tonyadarius Tony looked he he Kadarius Tony?
Speaker 3 (01:20:39):
Is that is that player who plays like cock cop
plays like cock coplay and then reminds you how special
he could be athletically and everything else and then gets
to stay. I also watched a lot of that Bears
Chiefs game and buy a lot of it until I
actually forgot who was on the field, and that's when
I stopped watching it.
Speaker 2 (01:20:56):
But there's some dude with long blonde hair running the football.
Speaker 3 (01:21:00):
But Corneiser to Wilbond part of the interruption used to
do this segment called something or Nothing. The Chicago Bearers
looking this dominant in the preseason. If we're playing something
or nothing, it is definitely not nothing like they are
so bounced across nothing right because like some would say,
these preseason games mean nothing, Like if you're a mean nothing, Well,
if you're a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, you're look at how
(01:21:20):
bad Wilson and Fields are playing and be like, okay,
that has to be something like our quarterbacks both can't
be bad. Yeah, Like if you're a Bear fan, you'd
look at it and be like, it would be a
lot worse if we were getting killed in the preseason.
So as much as I'm with you on hey, most
of these matchups, most of these impact players and I
use that in air quotes, won't have a true impact
(01:21:40):
on the regular season. We can give love for success,
like it feels like twenty twenty three, like your Raiders again,
Abe O'Connell playing well in the preseason met something. Guys
having success in the preseason is far better than what
Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones look like. But when we're
talking about like roster battles and positioning, maybe only the Patriots,
(01:22:01):
Like maybe that's the last one of you would think
Drake May maybe he's got a chance. I'm struggling besides
anybody else, And who really could have a big storyline
for the rest of the preseason this weekend.
Speaker 2 (01:22:16):
I mean most of it's all kind of decided, right.
I don't like it. Yeah, I to be determined.
Speaker 3 (01:22:22):
I mean somebody might blow up and have a great
game or two and look like they could do something special.
Speaker 2 (01:22:26):
But but for the most part. No, it's it's what's
what's done is done, and we will move on from
here and see where it ends up. But I I'm
so grateful that I have the condenned version of the
games available to me.
Speaker 1 (01:22:40):
Because I do want to watch, because I can't help myself.
But I'd rather wait thirty one minutes than than three hours.
Speaker 3 (01:22:46):
There's something funny about the condensed version of a preseason game.
It kind of reminds me of Netflix or Spectrum if
you have it. More so Netflix, are you still watching?
Speaker 5 (01:22:53):
Like?
Speaker 2 (01:22:53):
The more you do?
Speaker 3 (01:22:54):
You want to watch this before you turn it on?
Speaker 2 (01:22:57):
Right? Are you? Are you sure you want to do
this to yourself? Are you sure? Well?
Speaker 1 (01:23:01):
But it's like it does, it does always like would
you like to watch the full version of the condence
version of Like? Does anyone ever click the full version?
Probably the parents of the third string players?
Speaker 2 (01:23:09):
That's about it.
Speaker 3 (01:23:09):
People who have attention spins? No, Well, why would you
waste that? Let's move on a story number three. The
New York Mets continue their series with the Saintegan Podres
first pitch tonight, nine Mets seat up a little bit,
winners of four of their last six, five of their
last seven, three of their last four, while that map
was impackable by men. The Padres lost again of the
Mets last night, eight to three Blackbird. As you mentioned
(01:23:31):
earlier in the show, the back on the mound for
the Mets. We both agree on this, so that's always
odd here already saying you agree before I offer the
question in the storyline. But this year, two back to
back impactful series for the Mets season Padres and Diamondbacks
back to back. There's a chance by the time the
Final Friday hits in August one week from today, we
could be sitting here saying the New York Mets are
(01:23:53):
the top team in the wild Card or four seven
games out.
Speaker 2 (01:23:57):
I think they'd be second. I mean, mathematically, yes, they
could be the top team in the Wildcard. I think
if if if you're shooting the moon and you're and
you really are hoping, everything goes just right for you,
second Wildcard instead of third. But hey, man, if you
get that third and you root yourself into it, then
you just gotta keep pace for the rest of the
(01:24:18):
year to get to hold on to it. If I'm
a Mets fan, I'll take any of those seats. But
if I can get into that middle spot, get up
a game and a half on everybody else. I wouldn't
hate life.
Speaker 3 (01:24:27):
If it wasn't for the Houston Astros. And I know
I'm flipping leagues here, but there was a time here
back in the spring where Houston looked like they were done.
Now it almost seems like the American League Wildcard is done.
I would say, at least with the Twins and the Royals,
I don't think either one of them is gonna catch
the Guardians. I don't see way from the West catching them.
Baltimore and New York will continue to battle for the
top of the American League East and the wildcard spot.
(01:24:49):
The National League is totally undecided, and that's why these
series are coming up, or so and more because Arizona
Sandy wood Land. I know I've been saying the same thing.
They just feel like they better rosters, more experience means,
have gone deeper with players on the roster than the
Mets have. However, you get to play the game, right
who That's why you play the games?
Speaker 2 (01:25:07):
Is that league?
Speaker 3 (01:25:07):
Course, though he used to say that right, we find
out very soon and if the Mets want to be
in this mix and take these top spots and they
have a course of the next seven days to do it. Look,
you said it. You can think the second wildcard spot
is more likely. It is also a possibility out here.
The Mets are four and a half back by the
time we come back on product.
Speaker 1 (01:25:25):
If you're in San Diego, Arizona, and you're and you're
this is the story you're telling, it's Hey, we can
put the Mets out of you know, out of our sight,
so we can throw them way back in the rear
view mirror this weekend. I just you know, listen the Mets.
They they are that team.
Speaker 2 (01:25:40):
Hey, I believe in you.
Speaker 4 (01:25:43):
Hey, I think you're done.
Speaker 1 (01:25:45):
They go flying up like so I maybe maybe that's
why should do for your Mets fans. There's no way
in hell they make up any ground in the wild
card this week.
Speaker 2 (01:25:53):
There's no way they do it. They won't do it.
I agreed with you.
Speaker 3 (01:25:57):
You're right, there's no chance they make many ground this week.
Speaker 2 (01:26:00):
There you go, you're welcome that chance.
Speaker 3 (01:26:02):
Remember in Vince ming Man used to do that in
the late night.
Speaker 2 (01:26:04):
There's no chance chance. That's what god chance we're calling
me this week? Man, How dare you no?
Speaker 3 (01:26:12):
I thought that's where you ronty hes naughty, naughty boy.
Let's move on to story number two. Awkwardly Rockies Yankees tunny?
Speaker 1 (01:26:20):
How many times they told us that on the air
during Raw and we're all just like, oh, that's a
great storyline.
Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
No no, no, no, no, no no, it's not like go on.
Speaker 1 (01:26:29):
YouTube and see all the times he was like, I
am not a sick freak. I'd like a lot of
detector and it's it, like says he's lying.
Speaker 3 (01:26:35):
There are certain things from the late nineties early two
thousands where a younger generation is gonna look back and
be like, wait a second.
Speaker 44 (01:26:40):
Like what I just said?
Speaker 3 (01:26:42):
He was doing this?
Speaker 2 (01:26:43):
He told you?
Speaker 3 (01:26:44):
Was it like everyone thought Harvey Weinstein was a creepy
Like wasn't that a whole character on as Rush? Didn't
they do jokes about Kevin Spacey? You guys all knew this.
Speaker 2 (01:26:53):
Why was this? This is weird? You were you were
caught off guard. We were told it's incredible.
Speaker 3 (01:27:03):
Bill Cosby, sorry, I mean he did tell hand over
Story number two Lamax.
Speaker 2 (01:27:08):
Story number two.
Speaker 3 (01:27:09):
Is the Rockies and the Yankees. It's a seven o
five first pitch in New York. Yes, Aaron Judge good
at baseball. I'm gonna continue to say that. I'm not
backing off on it. I thought it'd be more fun, though,
than if the series was flipped in Colorado to see
how far the ball could go. If Aaron Judge hit
it six hundred feet, maybe seven hundred.
Speaker 1 (01:27:28):
Feet, Lance here, HiT's the HiT's the travers canoe dense it.
Speaker 3 (01:27:34):
I don't get to decide this while you were gone,
by the way, while you're enjoying Disney, that White Sox
Yankee series.
Speaker 2 (01:27:39):
You don't know if I was enjoying Disney at that
exact moment.
Speaker 3 (01:27:42):
While you were in Disney or in the space of Orlando, Florida.
They did play the White Sox, and they did lose
a game to the White Sox, and the sky the
sky wasn't falling. Life was okay, although.
Speaker 2 (01:27:51):
I know I got you d MS about it and
everything like that, Well you had a new hat. It's
come on, they lost one game to.
Speaker 3 (01:27:58):
The Do you think that storyline of how Yankee fans
have reacted to the White Sox series, although they played
well after Game one, will be similar way Yankees fans
view this Rocky series. Okay, the team really stinks of
the Yankees lose a game, people are gonna get all
worked up about it on social media.
Speaker 2 (01:28:17):
Yeah, non stop.
Speaker 1 (01:28:19):
I do have for Play the Day coming up. I
do have a part of my Play of the Day we'll.
Speaker 2 (01:28:25):
Morph into a prediction also coming off this game. So
just be ready for that. As it's as it's it's
gonna be a thing. Wow.
Speaker 3 (01:28:35):
I like this man, were all we were fired up
for our place. It's quickly move on a story number one.
Someone say we should move quickly now because it is
the talk of the weekend. We've heard multiple people tell
us this is the best Traverse Steaks field and maybe
a decade plus. Some of noted the American Pharaoh Field.
Others have said since American Pharaoh. However, you want to
rank it twenty fifteen or further. The twenty twenty four
(01:28:58):
Travers Steaks has storylines. We've got the Bellmont winner, We've
got a Philly We've got a local connection. It's everything
you want now. I told you this two weeks ago.
I said this back in the Belmont. Usually, if you
try to figure out a year like this and we're
sitting here on a Friday, I used to around there's
a wise guy horse. There's a favorite, and then there's
a storyline. I haven't really heard the wise guy horse yet.
(01:29:22):
There's a fan of the courthouse right. There could be
a big season for Big Red. They got a good quarterback.
They have mahomes back there, that's right. And then almost
walking in that pool and he turned around.
Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
Uh, it doesn't usually talking to the old guy with
the corn hunter. I'll talk to the hot check walking by.
That's sorry.
Speaker 3 (01:29:39):
She was feeling herself. Good for her and she knew it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:41):
I could help, and I can help.
Speaker 8 (01:29:46):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (01:29:47):
People will usually have a wise guy horse. Maybe Matthew
to Santas will give us this pick.
Speaker 2 (01:29:50):
He didn't get Did he.
Speaker 4 (01:29:51):
Get in your DMS?
Speaker 2 (01:29:52):
No?
Speaker 3 (01:29:53):
No, no like hurting your DMS. My god, I just
talked to a woman. I thought she was pointing at her.
Now embarrassed, I'm gonna let us slap by. Uh we're
talking about Travers Steaks game.
Speaker 2 (01:30:04):
What do you mean? No? No, no?
Speaker 3 (01:30:07):
What happened was I pointed in the direction It offered
the other woman a compliment, and the woman quickly made
direct the eye contact and I turtled quickly turtle, and
then she got closer. She got older and older it
wasn't going great there. Sometimes we do need a camera here. Nonetheless,
the Travers still don't put my finger down. The Travers
Steaks is this weekend. Here's my pickle back. I say
(01:30:31):
his name incorrectly, but I don't know why. It's Dornic
dorm knock Donic, the winner of the Belmont, Jason Worth.
That horse is so much fun to root for. Won
the Belmont, won the Haskell refuses to lose. That is
my pick. I'll take the Philly second, but I don't
think the value is going to be there. Uh, Vale,
(01:30:51):
You're gonna be there, so I'll just take him maybe
a little overall overall place something.
Speaker 2 (01:30:56):
Hits, Okay, take a fierceness.
Speaker 3 (01:30:59):
I love that horse in the Derby, and then I
watched it come around the turn and I did not
like that horse anymore. We'll find out with Matthew Santi Stelza's.
But at the Travers should be a lot of fun here.
Saratoga will be packed like it always is, the Midsummer.
Speaker 1 (01:31:14):
Derby, the late Summer Derby, late Summer. He would like
it to be you'd like to change the name and
all the advertising please?
Speaker 2 (01:31:23):
Yeah? Did you win the race?
Speaker 3 (01:31:25):
You had earlier, the trifecta.
Speaker 2 (01:31:28):
I had not a hit two of three, okay, and
uh well you know one last I've got a pick three,
A four dollars pick three still fired off here, let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:31:35):
I updated our standings right now. You're up by thirty
five dollars. But if this twelve loses Levac and leg
one of my pick three, then it's already a done deal.
All my races are done and we'll go to the
final week. But if the twelve hits, I stay alive
for the next race and then.
Speaker 2 (01:31:51):
The next race. M all right, I'm you know, I
feel bad. I don't want to root against you, but
I totally root against you, just so we're clear.
Speaker 1 (01:31:59):
Just g you know, that's your top four and four.
It is rocky up by Mohawk Condor, where they always
go out.
Speaker 2 (01:32:04):
Of their way to please that you were live up
here at the Saratoga Racecourse preparing for Travers tomorrow. It's
all travers eve.
Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
The The amount of people is impressive. There's there's there's
quite a few people here, but there's funny room still
still the time you can get around, you know, no
no reason to fret. If you will Pat mckennath told
this flat out. They added more bathrooms. They made sure
they said, no more waiting in those extra long lines. Gents,
there's more bathrooms now. So there you go. That's what
(01:32:34):
they do. They take care of the people, unlike gods what.
Speaker 3 (01:32:38):
I feel like, take care of people?
Speaker 2 (01:32:40):
Did you buy? Did you buy? Uh? What was what
was your anniversary?
Speaker 3 (01:32:44):
My anniversary was June twenty third?
Speaker 2 (01:32:47):
Would you buy your wife for universary?
Speaker 42 (01:32:49):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:32:49):
We don't really do it on June twenty third. I've
told you that before. We celebrate anniversary on different days,
but literally was you there on those days?
Speaker 2 (01:32:57):
Love?
Speaker 3 (01:32:59):
It's really a gift that it has no price. Constant love?
Speaker 1 (01:33:02):
Yeah, yeah, it has no price. How about you get
a gift that has a price within your budget? Which
are good friends over at Lilian David Fine Jewelers will
help you find because there's a there is something there

Speaker 2 (01:34:09):

always do want to come back.
Speaker 3 (01:34:11):

next segment. Let's make it three. So why you should
be thinking about the Raiders in the forty nine ers
for your play of the day, What I got Levik
and Zach for their birthday? And what was the great
teas you had as well?
Speaker 1 (01:34:24):
I'm my play of the day will also involve a
prediction for one Aaron Judge.

Drowning is a leading cause of death for children in
the United States. But did you know that people with
autism are one hundred and sixty times more likely to
drown compared to their neurotypical peers. The Autism Society of

Live at the Sarah tooka race course right the day
before Travers.
Speaker 2 (01:39:15):
Guys might be alive in his little on his victory here.
That was the photo for the win.
Speaker 3 (01:39:20):
From how we saw it on the television side, it
looked like the twelve had lost, but it might have
been the head mop at the end that might have
put the twelve where the tops still on. A lot
of people did not want that twelve to win. From
where we're city, I got a little too excited.
Speaker 2 (01:39:36):
All right.
Speaker 1 (01:39:37):
Well, poor poor Junior over here, he he has the
double is every horse of this race. He was he
already won the the first race, so he just wanted
the long sides of the board.
Speaker 2 (01:39:47):
Now, thanks to you, a seven to five month of one.
This thing. He's not gonna be very much money.
Speaker 3 (01:39:51):
No, he literally said, anybody but the twelve.
Speaker 2 (01:39:54):
Yeah, yeah, which I thought he was just rooting for me,
and I realized now he rooted for money, which is fine.
I get it. Root for money, all right. So here's
my first thing that's got official. By the way, so
you're still so you're still alive, still live the pick three? Yep,
there you go.
Speaker 1 (01:40:08):
So you got two more chances to blow it. First
thing I predict as we do our play of the
day thanks to Malok Chevrolet, just off actually twelve of
the north Way together.
Speaker 2 (01:40:20):
Let's try at Mark Chevy, where they always go out
of their way to please you.
Speaker 1 (01:40:23):
I can I can attest to that if you saw
what they had to go through just to do what
I wanted done in my truck. You know, they go
out of their way before I give a pick, before
gos Gie's a pick. My first prediction, if you will,
is that you and I Zach, for our birthdays both
are receiving a small bottle of liquor.
Speaker 3 (01:40:43):
Ooh, now here's the thing. Do you want to know
your gifts now? Or do you want to wait? If
I'm right, I think I should.
Speaker 2 (01:40:50):
We should know. But if if I'm not right, you
don't have to tell us.
Speaker 3 (01:40:54):
Okay, it might be beer, then it might just be
a twelve pack or something. I would say this if
you owe me beer right now, I do not know
you beer?
Speaker 1 (01:41:03):
Okay, I was that's he's famous for that one too.
For your birthday, he'll pay back a betan.
Speaker 2 (01:41:07):
Ojo No, no, no, no, he's famous for that.
Speaker 3 (01:41:10):
I'm trying to get the orange roof bet paid off.
I said I. I we could either do it this week.
I'm trying for the usc Rutgerstite, which maximized consumption for
a long time. As long as I've known you, I
have got you a bottle of liquor for Christmas. That's
our traditional Christmas gift. So I'll just say this. There
(01:41:31):
might be a Christmas gift, and there might be a
Birthday gift.
Speaker 1 (01:41:35):
But you can't give me the gift from your father.
Can't count us from you. My father does a run
for Jeff every year, so usually whatever they give him
for that run for Jeff becomes for this Jeff. So
people think I'm the one who's sick or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:41:50):
Needs and needs help.
Speaker 3 (01:41:53):
I'll put it like this, Yours will be in the studio,
give you yours will be in the same thing. It's
the same thing, but yours will be in the studio, Zach.
Because your birthday's Thursday, leave ax is Monday. You won't
have to go out to the car.
Speaker 2 (01:42:06):
And get yours.
Speaker 3 (01:42:07):
I'm gonna leave his in the studio. You're probably gonna
be gone by then. So you guys are getting the
same thing, and actually the same thing with the same
You're gonna be grouped in with him. So I'm gonna
buy him one Angie one. But I think you're not
too far off of what you're thinking about how you
might consume it. Let's put it like that.
Speaker 1 (01:42:24):
So it's booze of some variety or C four, one
of the two. It could be one of the two.
It's definitely one of the two. All right, do you
want to do your play of the day first? I would,
but I'd like to pay off my teas as well. Yeah, please, yes, Because.
Speaker 3 (01:42:38):
Your Raiders are involved in a little bit of controversy today.
Speaker 2 (01:42:41):
That's a shock that never happens for.
Speaker 3 (01:42:43):
Those who like to track this stuff. And I always
say that we're in a better spot now than ever
before it comes to sports wagering because of people tracking
the stuff via social media. Tonight, your Raiders play the
San Fransco forty nine Ers.
Speaker 2 (01:42:55):
The sleep you.
Speaker 3 (01:42:57):
Moment, I would say you, I would say about eight
hours ago, Yeah, the Niners were a three and a
half point.
Speaker 2 (01:43:07):
Dog to your Raiders.
Speaker 3 (01:43:09):
Okay, three hours ago, the Niners were a two point dog.
The line is now Niners nine point favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:43:18):
That's right.
Speaker 3 (01:43:19):
We just saw an eleven point swing. That is the
largest preseason line movement in the last twenty years. And
more and more that line moves. There might even be
a historic movement in the line. Uh what does that mean?
Does it mean the Niners gonna play more impact players
than we realize? It's hard to figure out exactly what
(01:43:39):
the reason is to the line movement. I would assume
it's that. But when you see that much line movement
that fast, I gotta flag it. In a eleven point
line move nine years, this is a nine point favorite.
Absolute insanity. Now somebody would hear that and say, Okay,
I'm never wager on preseason football, that's never gonna happen.
(01:44:00):
But when you see that much movement that fast, it
might send up a flag to everybody of what's going on.
I don't think there's anything shady going on. I know
it's controversy because of why it's going on and your
Raiders being involved. Me, your Raiders are sitting a lot
more players. I don't want to even dive into why
that's going on. I'm just reporting what I'm seeing on
the internet. The largest line movement in a preseason game
(01:44:20):
in nearly twenty years.
Speaker 2 (01:44:22):
The speculation that the.
Speaker 1 (01:44:27):
Niners are going to bring out their entire starting roster
for the beginning of the game.
Speaker 3 (01:44:32):
That's an eleven point swing.
Speaker 5 (01:44:35):
If the regular season forty nine Ers played the regular
season Las Vegas Raiders in Las Vegas, wouldn't they be
a six and a half point favorite.
Speaker 2 (01:44:50):
Seven and a half point favorite.
Speaker 3 (01:44:51):
It's unbelievable how good. You and I are getting it
that I would have said six and a half.
Speaker 1 (01:44:55):
Okay, So now the regular season, forty nine Ers are
playing the backup Raiders. They should get out to a
fourteen point lead right before they leave the field.
Speaker 3 (01:45:07):
Probably, I think that's the But this is what the
hard thing is about it, right Like, but at this point,
you either take Niners or you pass. But you probably
would have wanted to get niners and half.
Speaker 2 (01:45:16):
You think the Raiders come on, right, I think.
Speaker 3 (01:45:18):
You probably would have won the nine Ers at six
and a half at this point. You're probably I'm leaning
more towards pass at this point because it's easy to
do what you just did there. If I knew the
Niners are gonna play the entire game all four quarters,
then obviously that's what I don't know what he's gonna do.
I he's gonna sat him after two drives the second half,
the first drive. The idea that Chinahank could end it
whenever he wants to end it when it comes to
(01:45:40):
that line is way too difficult for me to feel
confident in a preseason wager. And to add to that,
you want to talk about ay frustrating wager. I mean
some people here. If Sarah took are frustrated by the
finish of that last race, how about you're on it
the whole time the coaches started yanking guys, that'd be
the frustration of that preseason wage. So hopefully you're thinking
about it. Although right, no, yeah, I mean Raiders at
(01:46:01):
the points I wouldn't mind watching too.
Speaker 1 (01:46:03):
I mean, because well, here's the here's the deal, right,
I'm a big Ad O'Connell fan. Does this mean Ad
O'Connell's gonna play with Gardner and she's been, you know,
listed as the starter?
Speaker 2 (01:46:13):
Or is is he gonna get passed over to? Like?
I don't, I don't know, I'm interested.
Speaker 1 (01:46:18):
I like, I mean, if if I was going to
put money on the preseason NFL game, which sounds dirty
right from the rim, it's I'm far more likely to
put it on.
Speaker 2 (01:46:30):
My Raiders plus that and a half of my Raiders
minus three and a half. If we're just we're just
being honest, Like I'm not. I don't.
Speaker 1 (01:46:37):
I don't see myself doing it the other way at all.
So intriguing is what we'll say. Intriguing.
Speaker 3 (01:46:45):
I'll offer up my two plays here. First, I've done
this the whole way through. I'll do it one more time.
I feel far less confident than I did earlier the
week my Bryce Harper home run parlay, but I will
probably chase after that this weekend one more time and
see if it can actually cash. But I will tell
you my next two plays. I guess you can make
this a double if you want. I've got coming up
(01:47:06):
here in the next race. I've got the two, three,
four and five. Okay, two three, four five coming up
here in the next race, and then the four. So
if you want a daily double, play two three, four
five and in the four again, huh, and see if
what happens again where I could potentially.
Speaker 2 (01:47:22):
You know what the definition of insanity is, right doing.
Speaker 3 (01:47:24):
The same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
Speaker 2 (01:47:27):
That's it. It's the saying horse and everything. But what
are you doing?
Speaker 12 (01:47:33):
What do you?
Speaker 1 (01:47:33):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:47:33):
Do you what?
Speaker 3 (01:47:34):
Do you feel better about this one than the other one? Actually, no,
I don't, that's not that's not even true. I felt
way better about the other one.
Speaker 2 (01:47:41):
I felt weird, but I.
Speaker 3 (01:47:42):
But this is my best play. I got four dollars
to fire off. I feel like that first one was
the toughest one. To get as a photo finish. But
that's my play in the Bryce Harper home run. Hopefully
this week it is stay alive.
Speaker 2 (01:47:53):
In her home run pool, Aaron Judges had with three
consecutive home runs.
Speaker 1 (01:47:57):
Now three nights with the home run? Yes, do you
know what the record is for consecutives with the home run? Oh,
that's a great question. Hang on, let me think here.
Speaker 3 (01:48:05):
Uh, my guess would be Sammy Sosa in nineteen ninety eight.
June of ninety eight would be my guess. I'm gonna
guess six days in a row with a home run.
Speaker 1 (01:48:19):
Incorrect and incorrect. There are three people tied for eight
straight games with.
Speaker 2 (01:48:27):
A home run.
Speaker 3 (01:48:28):
Let me guess again.
Speaker 2 (01:48:29):
Okay, okay, there's no way you're getting one of them.
A chance you get, you get one of them.
Speaker 3 (01:48:33):
McGuire, nope, I get two more guesses here, Not Sosa,
not McGuire. I'll go Bonds.
Speaker 2 (01:48:40):
Nope.
Speaker 3 (01:48:41):
All right, last guests here, last guess. I'm gonna go
with Josh Hamilton.
Speaker 1 (01:48:52):
Anyway, all right, I mean, I can't believe you didn't
get this one. The You have to go back a
little bit.
Speaker 2 (01:49:02):
Are you stealing second? Randy? He's get me. You can
put down the gang.
Speaker 1 (01:49:05):
Signs Dale Long of the Pirates May nineteenth through the
twenty eighth. Back in nineteen fifty six had eight straight
home runs eight games with home runs. In nineteen eighty seven,
from July eighth to the eighteenth, the hit man Don
Mattingley had eight straight games with home runs, and the
most recent nineteen hundred and ninety three July twentieth to
(01:49:28):
the twenty eighth from the Seattle Marrier Mariners Ken Griffey Junior.
Speaker 3 (01:49:33):
Wow, very impressive.
Speaker 1 (01:49:35):
Okay, there's quite a few with seven, but that's it.
So the reason I bring that up is Judge is
gonna hit a home run tonight, which will be four
straight games. At that point, people begin to text Don Madgley.
Within as soon as somebody its four games, there are
a bunch of people who start texting Don Madiley and
letting him know that someone's coming for him. And Don
Mattley is not quite like the Miami Dolphins with the
(01:49:57):
perfect season, but they say that he does. He'll give
a thumbs up back and then he almost always will
say something. At some point of someday, someone will pass
me and everyone will forget who I am.
Speaker 2 (01:50:07):
But that's not today, So.
Speaker 1 (01:50:10):
I think Manley starts getting Aaron Judge text tonight, and
I think Judges is gonna flort with that eight game streak.
I think he's having a magical season. It won't be
more magical than get nine straight games with a home run.
Speaker 3 (01:50:23):
Nine st there are certain but there are certain impressive
streaks in baseball, And I know baseball for a long
time has always been the sport about the numbers and
what you consider to be the most impressive. I know
your reference earlier in the week that there's a special
out now about Armando Galla Ragus perfect game. Mathematically, someone
would say that's the most impressive thing to do in
baseball because of the amount of games that's played in
(01:50:44):
how infrequently it's happened. But career home runs you obviously
need longevity and career strikeouts. But everybody from a double
age kid who gets two weeks in the big leagues
to a Hall of Famer, they all have the chance
to do that record. To go that can secut It's
not more impressive than DiMaggio or Roses hit streak, but
(01:51:07):
it should be talking about. It's one of the most
impressive feats in baseball. To go eight straight games with
a home run. You can fire up the old PlayStation
five right now and throw on MLB in the show
can you go eight straight games hitting a home run
and walks? You were just thinking at one point, hey,
you know what, he got one at bat and he
went oh for one, but I had three walks and
didn't hit one deep. That would be incredible if you
(01:51:29):
even close to that record.
Speaker 1 (01:51:31):
I think he's gonna flirt with it, at least I think.
I just it feels there's something magical coming, and I think,
you know, I don't. I don't necessarily think he's gonna
surpass his home run numbers from from two years ago
or any of that.
Speaker 2 (01:51:44):
But how about how about eight nine games? You know,
eight nine in a row? See how far you can go? Buddy?
Speaker 1 (01:51:49):
Another one, another one plus one seventy six tonight by
the way, So that's my play of the day is
uh is Aaron Judge hits a homer? I also I'm
gonna throw a litle bonus for you for over the weekend. Okay,
your game, the game that you're excited about.
Speaker 2 (01:52:04):
Georgia Tech, Florida State or Montana State. Okay, I didn't
know you.
Speaker 1 (01:52:09):
Had extras Florida State Georgia tack. You like the ramblin
reck at plus eleven and a half points. I like
the over over fifty five and a half. Jared Versink
coming down that tunnel and all these other guys I
don't know who plays defense or Georgia Tech Roman Reigns
isn't coming down that tunnel like this. I think this
(01:52:30):
is gonna be a high scoring game. I think it's
there'll be a lot of drunk people celebrating over guinnesses
and proper twelve whiskey.
Speaker 2 (01:52:38):
It's gonna be a lot of fun, lots of scoring
going on between Florida State and Georgia Tech. I hope.
Speaker 3 (01:52:42):
So that'd be a really fun way to start off
a college football season. It'd be a really good time.
I want that to happen. What's gonna get me more
excited though, a really fun, high scoring Georgia Tech Florida
State game, or by the time a Saturday wraps up,
hopefully we've already catched some tickets in midnight East Stern
hits and I can make sure I stay awake.
Speaker 2 (01:53:02):
To watch Hawaii Delaware State.
Speaker 3 (01:53:05):
That's when you know your Saturday night's going well, if
you can make it to Hawaii and aren't chasing something
because Hawaii's on the schedule, SMU, Nevada is on the schedule.
I'm fans of week zero.
Speaker 2 (01:53:15):
I am here for it.
Speaker 3 (01:53:16):
I hope all are wagers cash and it's gonna be
really fun. Look, we love travers weekend. But next week,
when next Thursday, we're talking about week one of college
football seasons kicking off next Friday, this time we're gonna
be talking about week one of college plus the end
of Saratoa. If you're somebody who's been holding, you've been waiting,
you've been profiting, however you want to call it. You
(01:53:38):
talked about this earlier in the week about some people
have that fun money bank, which is the best way
to be a responsible wager. Now you can open up
the bank a little bit starting next week. And you
and I are in so many competitions this year, we
are in so many We're gonna have so much fun
doing and uh, we're what two weeks from today? Two
weeks from today is the first fantasy versus reality in
the four o'clock hour coming back?
Speaker 2 (01:54:00):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:54:00):
Is it really two weeks today? Next week would be Thursday, game.
We are going to be somewhere two weeks from now.
That is gonna be also the fun part. Where will
we be broadcasting two fridays from now?
Speaker 5 (01:54:14):
Do you know?
Speaker 3 (01:54:15):
I don't, Zach note that somewhere on September sixth will
be broadcasting somewhere.
Speaker 2 (01:54:21):
Is that thing? Are we talking to people?
Speaker 3 (01:54:24):
Yeah, we have two locations that we're gonna put One
of the two locations, let's let's stress them one.
Speaker 2 (01:54:29):
Is it the Albany.
Speaker 3 (01:54:31):
I don't want to say it might be a competitor here.
We have a race that we might be promoting. We
might be there in some.
Speaker 1 (01:54:36):
Weeks, and then it's not really a competitor al right,
I mean just gonna say a force power doesn't be there.
Speaker 3 (01:54:42):
And then we also have a potential local event with
a sponsor that really wants to be involved. So we
will be somewhere live in two weeks doing the first
Fantasy Verse reality.
Speaker 2 (01:54:50):
I can't do it.
Speaker 3 (01:54:50):
I'm very busy, So play the day is gonna get
even more coming up here, more and more wagers and investments.
Speaker 2 (01:54:57):
Very very busy.
Speaker 1 (01:54:58):
Oh do you know what I found on the way
in Our friends from the Special Olympics are doing raffle
tickets and things. Uh, inside the gates here.
Speaker 2 (01:55:05):

Matthew the Santas. How are you, sir?
Speaker 19 (02:01:02):
I'm doing fantastic. This is the weekend we've all been
waiting for, right, I mean, this is fantastic. The weather's
gonna be great, the fields are gonna be fantastic. I
just cannot wait tomorrow. Five grade one races on the card.
We got a late pick five nothing but grade one races.
I mean it's a great betting race and great betting sequence.
Speaker 2 (02:01:20):
I heard it was. I heard there's a chance of
some showers from some ninny on a pink show. Yeah.
Speaker 19 (02:01:24):
No, I'm not making this up either. Today it's crystal
clear outside. There's some guy standing outside with an umbrella.
I said, I found Andrew Champagne. He's here. He's standing
around with an umbrella, just shaking in his boots because
he heard somewhere in Syracuse there might have been a
thirty percent chance of showers. He goes it could call
him any minute. You're in Sarah Saratoga. You better start
(02:01:45):
handicapping differently. We better go off turf. I gotta watch out.

I got I got none of love for Champagne, but
you since you, since you started, I only call him

Speaker 2 (02:02:20):
I'm like, no love the guy.
Speaker 1 (02:02:21):
I just I feel like it's only the right just
stoke the flames of this rivalry between the Santas and Champe.
Speaker 2 (02:02:28):
All right, so this is this is it?
Speaker 1 (02:02:31):
I mean, the the summer is, you know, rapidly coming
to an end when we have travers weekend. Sadly, but
that's that means we got to enjoy this all the more.
And this is the kind of card. Everybody's telling me
it's the best card. It's amazing. You said you knew
exactly what you wanted to do on Wednesday. Have you
changed your mind anyway?
Speaker 19 (02:02:50):
No, not at all.
Speaker 2 (02:02:51):
Whether hasn't changed it? The chance of the.
Speaker 19 (02:02:55):
Zero point, yeah, has not changed anything.
Speaker 28 (02:02:59):
No.
Speaker 19 (02:03:00):
Uh It's a race where I've I had an opinion
pretty early on. I've moved a couple of horses around,
very little, underneath a little bit, some horses that I
weren't necessarily on my radar. Initially I moved up, but
by my top choice never.
Speaker 2 (02:03:15):
Wavered in this one. Is it fierce? It is not.
Do you want to drum.
Speaker 19 (02:03:25):
So I this is the race this horse was bred
to win. This is the race this horse is supposed
to win. With the pace set up, there's gonna be
a fast pace on Saturday because you have fierceness, Union
of Dornic on the outside, you have Torpedo and out
of the Philly on the inside. She wants to be forward.
The two X factors, who I think some people don't
give enough credit to are Unmatched Wisdom and batten Down.
(02:03:46):
Now Unmatched Wisdom has the ability to rate a little
bit and can sit off the pace just slightly. I
think batton Down is the X factor in this race.
I think he MUCKs it up on the front end.
Speaker 2 (02:03:56):
I think he and his.
Speaker 19 (02:03:58):
Jockey Junior Alvarado, who if you remember or just two
weeks ago, won the Whitney on Arthur's ride. How did
he win that Whitney. He gunned it to the front
and he never looked back. And I think that's exactly
the only way batten Down wins this race is if
he goes to the front, because it's the only way
he's won his other races. It's up on the front end.
I think there is intentionality there from Junior, who's a
great rider, and I think he decides to go and
(02:04:20):
go as far as that horse is gonna take him,
and that horse has some good pedigree to suggest he
couldn't go a mile.
Speaker 2 (02:04:25):
And a quarter.
Speaker 19 (02:04:25):
But I think he forces Dornick into fierceness, into maybe
an uncomfortable setup, and a little bit too too fast
to a pace. And if you have a fast pace,
nobody closes him better than Sierra Leone and he's just
gonna come running and he should relish the mile in
a quarter and I just think he's the worst to
beat in this race.
Speaker 3 (02:04:40):
It may not be the perfect comparison, but we've had
some people kind of scout this out that we're talking
about it and compare it to twenty fifteen's travers with
American Parawere there's gonna be a different pace and there's
gonna be horses battling, and then somebody's gonna come on. Yeah,
sort of like twenty fifteen.
Speaker 19 (02:04:55):
Yeah, yeah, I can see it, because you know, that
was an interesting race because you you had a couple
of horses come at American Pharaoh before keen Ice finally
got by, because it was Frosted who gave that first
kind of wave of pressure. And I think the same
thing could happen to Dornick. So if let's say Dornic
does get up on the front end, you're gonna have
(02:05:16):
fierce nous, He's gonna make a run out of him.
Then you're gonna have Torpedo Anna make a run at him.
Then you're gonna have bat and Down or unmatched wisdom
make a.
Speaker 2 (02:05:22):
Run at him.
Speaker 19 (02:05:23):
How many times can he repel that at some point
before the cumulative effects starts to just kind of wear
on him of having to be asked again and again
and again. And then you have horses like Honor Marie,
Corporate Power and U and Siria Leone kind of coming
for a much more softened up Dornick on the front end.
He's a tough customer, But I just think maybe there's
(02:05:44):
so many challenges coming for him. He wilts a little
bit this race.
Speaker 3 (02:05:47):
That might be my favorite answer, Matthew to Satis kive Us,
because it unmost it felt like he was describing a
fight like Dornick has been in so many of these
fights before, where it's like he's got this whale, he's
got this ring, but how much can he take before
he's on the ropes and actually has to go?
Speaker 2 (02:06:00):
Yeah, No, he is.
Speaker 19 (02:06:01):
He is a fighter. He is one of the gutsiest
horses I've ever seen in my career. Uh he It
is so rare to see a horse like Dornick who
relishes another horse trying to go buy him and then
fights back and let's the horse get past him. It's
one thing to go all the horses coming up next
to me, I'm gonna kind of go into another gear.
But for him to let a horse go by and
(02:06:23):
then go, ah, not so fast right by, and I mean,
it's just so impressive to see. So uh he's he's
a of course he got to take seriously.
Speaker 1 (02:06:33):
So we had with Tony albado on He's he said
he picked unmatched wisdom. Yeah, because everyone's saw about the
closing street. Everyone's talking about these other things.
Speaker 3 (02:06:41):
He thinks that unmatched Wisdom can just run the right
race to get where it needs to be.
Speaker 19 (02:06:46):
I think unmatched Wisdom is quickly becoming the wise guy
horse you're not getting because I know Andy Serling's picking him.
I know David Aragona from Daily Raising Horns picking him.
A lot of people are picking him. If you're get
wise asshr.
Speaker 29 (02:07:00):
But it is.
Speaker 19 (02:07:01):
You know, it's one of those things where I get
what they're saying. I'm not one hundred percent sure of
a horse once a mile on a quarter, which is
a little bit of a test, and I think, yes,
there's the theory that he can rate, but let's see
it in practice. You know, he won the last time
out up on the front end. He's only ever sat second.
It's not like he was sitting fourth or fifth and
(02:07:22):
he go, okay, the horses eas past other horses and
kind of you know, made a run from the back.
He was sitting second by a length. Well, he ain't
gonna be second by a length on Saturday, I can
tell you that. So the question is now and he's
on the inside, so he's gonna start getting kicked back.
He can't take that sort of outside trip that fierceness
is gonna get. So then it's like, okay, now you're
in between horses. You're potentially in between like batten down, fierceness, torpedo,
(02:07:45):
andity're inside. That's not a comfortable trip you're taking. Kickback, Okay,
let's see it. I mean, there's definitely talent there, and
I know Chad Brown has been high on this horse
since even before he won the curling stakes, so I
wouldn't put it past him. But I just think there
are some questions to answer what could end up being
a much lower price than the eight to one morning line.
Speaker 1 (02:08:02):
This is what I like is the way Matthew DeSantis
does this race is the way I pick football games
like I do a mental script in my how do
I see this game playing out?
Speaker 2 (02:08:09):
How do I see, you know, Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 1 (02:08:11):
Going against that defense or whatever, And that's how I
get my storyline. My storyline decides how I'm going to
play the game. And that's now that here your storyline.
Speaker 2 (02:08:20):
I'm fired. So you said you move some under it,
So one, what are you putting under?
Speaker 19 (02:08:25):
You know, I'm taking a little shot with corporate power,
which is a fifteen to one horse for trainer Sug mcgay.
He he's won this race four times. He knows what
it takes to win. He's not a trainer, he's an
old school trainer. He's not a trainer who's gonna put
his horse in a position where he doesn't think they
can fire a big race. He came in second to
Unmatched Wisdom in the curling. I think he gets the
right setup because he's a horse that actually is a
(02:08:47):
little bit more what I described, which would have been
nice to see from Unmatched Wisdom, which is he likes
to sit third or fourth in a race. He likes
to sit mid pack. He's not a deep closer like
s heerily owner on A Marie. Since midpack, then he
makes his run. The point is he's gonna get the
first crack at those front runners. Whereas Sire Leona and
m Marie they're winding up from ten to fifteen legs back.
They got to make their run. He's gonna be four
(02:09:08):
or five lengths back. He's just gonna get that jump
on him a little bit. Whether he's good enough, I
don't know.
Speaker 2 (02:09:13):
We won't know.
Speaker 19 (02:09:14):
Until about six fifteen tomorrow afternoon, but I think at
fifteen to one in the morning line. He provides some value.
But you know if you use underneath in exactly right,
if you think he can run a big race.
Speaker 1 (02:09:25):
See, but that's the right way to use value. That's
part of your card. No, not throwing it away over.
Speaker 3 (02:09:30):
It is that your favorite race to wager on Saturday?
The Traverser if you have one that's a favorite and
my favorite, I mean, do you think it's gonna be
your best bet?
Speaker 2 (02:09:38):
Pay the best?
Speaker 19 (02:09:39):
So a couple of answers there. I think the best
overall race in my opinion, as great as the travers is.
And this could be the best drivers we've had since
American Pharaoh. It's gonna be an amazing race. The Ah
Challengerkins the race before Sweet Mother of Lord, I mean,
just a sweet baby, Jesus, this is a race race.
It is eleven horses. I think you can make a
(02:10:01):
legitimate case for nine of them to win.
Speaker 2 (02:10:03):
Wow.
Speaker 19 (02:10:03):
And that's the type of race where you just go, man,
give me a price. I mean there's a horse like
Jefferson Street at twelve to one, who I think absolutely
could run a hole in the wind tomorrow. You got
book them. Dano the New Jersey Bread who's your morning
line favorite at seven to two. All he did was
go over season almost beat Forever Young, who we saw
him finished third in the Kentucky Derby. He comes back
and somehow wins the Woody Stevens sitting behind what was
(02:10:25):
an insanely hot pace that day. Yet Bob Baffert's bringing
in Prince and Monico from out in California, and you
know that horse is sitting on a massive effort. You
have world record who absolutely crushed the field in the
Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago. He's on the inside rail.
He got Little Knee who almost beat book them Dano
last time out, another New Jersey.
Speaker 2 (02:10:41):
Bread who's got great early speed.
Speaker 19 (02:10:43):
You got a horse like domestic product who was in
the Kentucky Derby cutting back. Now he's running sprints. He's
just coming off a seven and a half length win
in the Dwire. Oh by the way, you got Timberlake
coming back from the Derby trail and the Haskell cutting
back to what is probably gonna be his past diistance
of seven furlongs. It is a g impact race. If
you like a price, that's the race.
Speaker 50 (02:11:02):
To go to.
Speaker 2 (02:11:03):
I just wish you were passionate about horse race. I
just wish you were into it. Matthew Santas.
Speaker 4 (02:11:08):
I wish you.
Speaker 2 (02:11:09):
I wish you brought some energy with you. I don't know.
Speaker 1 (02:11:13):
That's awesome. Now you gotta be all fired up. So
we have the the NYRA Bets Challenge. Yeah, whichever one
of us does better gets a race named after us
next year. I've won the only other two times we've
been able to do it.
Speaker 19 (02:11:23):
There you go.
Speaker 2 (02:11:23):
I'm in the lead right.
Speaker 1 (02:11:24):
Now, guys, is in he got the first leg of
a pick three, which would probably get it close.
Speaker 2 (02:11:30):
Is he getting like two of a pick three right now?
Speaker 3 (02:11:33):
No, I was gonna ask you about Ideo Madic.
Speaker 2 (02:11:35):
I was gonna ask you about Ideo Madic comeing up
in the next race.
Speaker 19 (02:11:37):
Yeah, yeah, three more.
Speaker 3 (02:11:39):
I'm not gonna rip this up though, because this is
a crazy year, crazy day with inquiry. Yeah, we had
a photo finish that I thought I lost. I thought
I lost another one. I think the six did just
win there. But you mentioned idio Matic and I won't
be selfish, but I want to be because that would
have paid off my pick three here. Yeah, let's talk
about that horse come up for the next race. I
thought you mentioned him Wednesday. Potentially what can happen over
(02:11:59):
the next one, So the personal ensign which is coming
up in the next race. Phenomenal rubber match between Idiomatic
and Randomized. They faced off for the first time last
year and the breeders' cupt distaff. Idiomatic got the better
by about a half a length. They faced off again
last time out in the Ogden Fiffs. Randomized got the
better by a half of length. Now they're gonna face
off in the rubber match today. I think it's a
two horse race. Those two are so good.
Speaker 19 (02:12:21):
When you sit Idiomatic in the paddock, you just go,
is this the same breed of horse? Even like Idiomatic
is a massive animal and it's just huge and Randomized
is a lot smaller by comparison, but it's so fast.
It's gonna come down to what jockey Floran Deru does
with Idiomatic. Quite frankly, the last two times out, I
(02:12:42):
don't think Flow has given that horse a very good
ride at all. I think he hung that horse wide
around both turns and the Ogden Fiffs, and he rode
her like he thought he had all the horse in
the world under her under him, and he thought he
could just track down randomized and Randomized got loose up
on the front end, and when the horse gets up
on the front end, they're hard to track down. And
(02:13:02):
he just couldn't get there. Last time out down at
Monmouth Park and the Molly Pitcher, he tried to. He
got out on the front end and did what we
would refer to as try to walk the dog. It
went really slow up front. And then Irad Ortiz Junior
on Soul of an Angel, who's running in the personal
ens and today, made an early move and you can
see visibly startled Drew, who did not expect that horse
to come up on him like that, and then had
(02:13:24):
to press Idiomatic for about two and a half furlongs
for everything she had. And the only reason she won
that race is just because she's a classier horse. And
I mean, so he needs to give a smart ride.
What I would love to see him do if you're
an Idiomatic fan, is I want him right off the
hip of randomized. Randomized is gonna go to the lead.
I want Idiomatic right there on her hip the whole way,
(02:13:44):
making her feel her presence, because that's a way to
make a horse a little bit more uncomfortable. Otherwise Idiomatic
can run for days. The only way she loses is
is she lets Randomize get an easy lead and she
gets that confidence that I can go.
Speaker 2 (02:13:56):
Gate to wire. Love it.
Speaker 1 (02:13:57):
Matthew DeSantis with us IRA Bets, obviously great promotions going
on for the travers.
Speaker 19 (02:14:03):
It's a fifty dollars fifty thousand dollars hit and split
challenge for the pick five. So if you opt in
on NIRA Bets and play the late pick five, which
like I said, is all five grade one races, we
are adding fifty thousand dollars to the pot, and anyone
who plays on NIRA Bets and ops in and wins
gets to split that fifty thousand dollars with the other
(02:14:25):
people who play and hit that late pick five. So
that is a way of taking what could be a
very profitable ticket already and adding a couple thousand dollars to.
Speaker 2 (02:14:34):
It on top of that. Let's go that's I'm not
opposed to that. That would be fun.
Speaker 19 (02:14:40):
I will see the following week.
Speaker 2 (02:14:43):
No you will. I just I'll be pretending up too
good for everyone at that point. Last time you were here,
you were forced to sit and listen to thought about
four I brought you a couple thank you.
Speaker 1 (02:14:54):
Yeah, I got the pop popsicle flavors. You got the
orange cream sickle and the Hawaiian pineapple right there.
Speaker 19 (02:15:00):
Love it.
Speaker 2 (02:15:01):
Challenge. Yeah, unlike guys immediate.
Speaker 19 (02:15:05):
A little warm that it's all good.
Speaker 3 (02:15:06):
He's like this the energy you just put out in
this interview, you deserve explosive energy.
Speaker 1 (02:15:12):
You can feel right there there you go. I feel
like I feel like a winner. It tastes just like
it's I love it. I was a weird kid. So
the cherry popsicle flavor. Like when I was a kid,
I'd let the popsicle melt in the cup and I
drink it and like it tastes just like it. So
that's the weirdest thing I've heard all week.
Speaker 2 (02:15:30):
I'll be honest, something with the stuff that goes on
the togu and I'm a little embarrassed.
Speaker 19 (02:15:38):
All of a sudden it happened.
Speaker 2 (02:15:41):
That's just happened in a while.
Speaker 1 (02:15:43):
No, but so if you want to grab yourself a
popsicle flavored Sea four or the Ultimate Sea Fours, you
can do that.
Speaker 3 (02:15:47):
It's Stewart's Speedway as well. Have you had a Sea
forts I had a C four actually had the one.
Matthew Santas is drinking right now, So shout out to
Sea four and everything going on. We actually share some
Sea four in the office date. It's so cool to
watch people to enjoy C for it. We're talking about.
We actually brought some in tonight. I didn't I brought
I only shared with with the Sandas so far I
brought it in. Really, those are lawyers. I brought him
(02:16:08):
in for trouble. Yeah, take care of those.
Speaker 2 (02:16:11):
I knew that. I knew you got an Angle four
will help me get.
Speaker 3 (02:16:14):
That boost that you need throughout the summer as we
get closer and closer to the fall, whether it's in
the morning.
Speaker 4 (02:16:18):
Or the afternoon.
Speaker 3 (02:16:19):
Or our friend Tracy from ninety nine five the River,
they got a great event going on today as well.
She's like, I don't really like how energy drinks taste
C four because that great taste doesn't have that weird
after taste like some energy drinks and coffee. You're gonna
enjoy it and try the great flavors. And you heard
it from Matthew. Decentis if Levaggia guys don't tell you
how great SA four is. That first sip from Matthew
de Sentance tells you all you need.
Speaker 2 (02:16:39):
In I would have if I had known, I would
have put it on ice for him, would have done
the right thing, but so.
Speaker 19 (02:16:42):
So fantastic, even like Luke Warm.
Speaker 2 (02:16:45):
All right, I'll make sure I freeze one up for you.
Next time. We'll get we'll get you taken care of
even better.
Speaker 1 (02:16:49):
Uh, Matthew stands has been to make sure you check
him out, failed to menace on X. You pay attention
to the Nira bets app because that's gonna be your
opportunity to find out what he's got going on.
Speaker 2 (02:16:57):
And well, of course I'll let you know early one. Yeah,
I might have changed my favorite I was. I was
on fierce this, but I might have that.
Speaker 3 (02:17:05):
For all we know, Matthew De Santis will come back
here next week with a winner for the final time
here at Saratoga, and Andrew Champagne and him will fight
like a tag team. We don't know what to expect next.
You got the chair, got the chair. I can't wait
for next week, all all week.
Speaker 2 (02:17:24):
To say that. You take pictures like outside getting ready
for it.
Speaker 19 (02:17:31):
Listen, don't even half of it.
Speaker 2 (02:17:35):
I'm more excited for next Friday. Than I should be.
Speaker 1 (02:17:39):
I'm gonna call this, I'm gonna call a Champagne Ninny
always to really happen up a little bit more.
Speaker 2 (02:17:45):
Thank you so much. Man, We're gonna be right back.
Speaker 1 (02:17:47):

Speaker 3 (02:20:58):
But uh, he's six five. Yeah, I've never met him
in person because he's a caliphun. I thought you guys,
I thought you, I thought you were boys. No, no, no,
I have never met him in person.

We're just a you speak so hard.
Speaker 1 (02:21:09):
I remember when you said he's so much better than

Speaker 2 (02:21:18):
I believe what we do.
Speaker 3 (02:21:20):
We do appreciate him joining in every Thursday. Absolutely, it
feels like I don't.
Speaker 2 (02:21:24):
It's always like when I can't be around, though I
think it's I'm starting to take it personal. That's why
I'm team DeSantis all the way.
Speaker 3 (02:21:29):
As much as I love the travers, as much as
I love hanging out there, it's okay, somebody else says this,
but it does feel true when you get to the end,
it feels like the end of the summer.
Speaker 2 (02:21:38):
That person.
Speaker 3 (02:21:39):
That person said, when you to the beginning of the track, yeah,
it feels like summer is over. But this, this feels
like it today, even though we got one week left
to go for the C four challenge and I are
Bett's challenge. Uh, the standings are confirmed now.
Speaker 2 (02:21:51):
All right.
Speaker 3 (02:21:51):
As much as I keep looking at this photo finish here,
I get the five Did it win? We don't. It's
not even that close.
Speaker 2 (02:21:56):
We don't.
Speaker 3 (02:21:57):
Why do we keep showing it as the five one?
Speaker 2 (02:22:00):
I paid extra? I paid extra for them to show more.
Speaker 3 (02:22:02):
Here's what our Naira Beets Challenge looks like. Okay, this
is our thirty year doing this, and unless things change,
this has been our worst effort we've ever had.
Speaker 2 (02:22:12):
WHOA, All right, let me rephrase that.
Speaker 3 (02:22:13):
Our worst, your worst effort, our worst overall standings. Let's
just say we've had better showings. Now, usually trail all
the way to the end. I've led the whole whole year.
Speaker 2 (02:22:25):
This time you have.
Speaker 3 (02:22:26):
Usually we would sit around one hundred and twenty or
one hundred and thirty. We start with one hundred and
sixty right now combined where it's seventy six dollars.
Speaker 2 (02:22:35):
Yeah, but this isn't for charity, This is just for
this is just for bragg change it next. Wait what
do you say combined? So? Wait, so what are our
scores right now?
Speaker 3 (02:22:44):
Levac is in first place with fifty nine dollars and
thirty five cents, and what was the total seventy six.
Speaker 2 (02:22:50):
Dollars I have? So you're the problem.
Speaker 3 (02:22:52):
I have seventeen dollars in twenty seves.
Speaker 1 (02:22:54):
So you're the problem, and you can only bet ten. Yes,
So worst case you're at you're seven dollars seven dollars.
Worst case I'm forty some yeah right, yeah, So best
case I just I crush it next week, make all
the moneys and uh and and have yet another Livak race.
Speaker 3 (02:23:13):
And and this guy super earlier. I gotta get his
picks earlier this week. I know he never tells us
before the seven hundred dollars. Well done, my friend, he
never tells us before.
Speaker 2 (02:23:21):
That's the problem. There, he goes, before you hit it.
That's what we need.
Speaker 4 (02:23:25):
Next week.
Speaker 2 (02:23:25):
You can give you that thing so I can win this.
Speaker 1 (02:23:27):
No, you get no help. No, don't help guys. Gods
is such bad luck year. Your good picks will go
to a rot right in front of you.
Speaker 2 (02:23:34):
It'll be a problem.
Speaker 3 (02:23:34):
I'm down forty two dollars. I'm down forty two dollars
to you, and I'm down thirty one dollars in the
C four. I say it, I believe it.
Speaker 2 (02:23:41):
The C four is? What's this? What's the I'm in
first in that too.
Speaker 3 (02:23:44):
You are, but I'm within striking distance. A couple of
trifect the boxes already know what I'm doing.
Speaker 2 (02:23:52):
Three of them.
Speaker 3 (02:23:54):
There, he goes, I'll see it again.
Speaker 2 (02:23:56):
So the two dollars try. I just want a bunch
of money again. But he tells us, after you tell.
Speaker 3 (02:23:59):
Us what four we need to help a couple one
dollar tries next week fifty you get nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:24:09):
He's four beers on you. Thank you? All right? Oh,
I want to take this one. Yeah, I know that.
I know that feeling right now. Yeah, I am my
boiler one. That's the difference, by the way boilers cost more.
It's it's not that good. It's a bad things. When
I bought my house, my buddy Eric, Eric Allen, who
(02:24:31):
if you know, his toughest dude, on the planet. He goes,
he pulls me aside, he goes, puts his on my
head shoulder like this, he goes. Welcome to the war
against water. He hates you, and he wants to destroy
your house. It's true.
Speaker 1 (02:24:42):
Water wants to destroy your house at all times. That's
why I drink a caleon of it a day, just
to show it whose boss and filter it through my kidneys.
Speaker 2 (02:24:51):
All right, so we're here, we're hanging out.
Speaker 1 (02:24:52):
We got you, you're so we we're both done today
for the challenge. But there's plenty of racing left. I
think there's what three three more races the personal lensing
right now, yeah, and then two more races after that.
Speaker 2 (02:25:03):
So still time to.
Speaker 1 (02:25:03):
Get here and hang out at Saratoga, enjoyed this beautiful
day here Idio Mattic is four to five now, guys,
I know you guys are worried about the number.
Speaker 36 (02:25:12):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 43 (02:25:13):
It is.
Speaker 2 (02:25:13):
It is big time the favorite now, Okay, closest to
it is three to one. It randomized. Chad Brown and
Joel Heresario is out.
Speaker 1 (02:25:24):
All right, A large, large wager can throw this thing
a completely out of whack because of how how this works.
What if you think port Noise over there dropping coin.
I bet you if Portnoise over there just messing with you.
I don't know, got like you just like put fifty
grand on on on randomized and blew up everything. I'm
(02:25:45):
really soul of an angel.
Speaker 3 (02:25:47):
I'm sure someone could walked me through the process. But
because I've never lived that life and really don't know,
I don't know how much money would truly have to
be wager to shift a line. And I'm sure if
someone explained to me it's pool money and is that?
Speaker 2 (02:25:58):
But it does? How much is already in the pool whatever? Oh,
that's probably in there.
Speaker 1 (02:26:02):
But maybe like, did you say you were going against
a certain horse, because I imagine everybody would like fade
you as.
Speaker 2 (02:26:09):
Hard as possible.
Speaker 3 (02:26:10):
One day I might have that type of power to swing.
What did guys say? Why is this movie?
Speaker 42 (02:26:14):
Now?
Speaker 3 (02:26:14):
Why is what happened? But I hope that' stoped the kid.
Speaker 1 (02:26:17):
Let me ask you a question that popped into my
brain earlier today. I saw an interview with Jalen Hyatt
and the wide receiver, the second year wide receiver for
the New York Giants, and he said, quote, there's a
lot I haven't shown very confident of a breakout season.
I was confident last year. Obviously some things didn't go
the way I wanted them to go. And that's all right,
(02:26:40):
New year, new goals. Knew me just ready to execute,
ready to go out there and play. What are the
chances Jalen Hyatt has a better year than Milik Neighbors zero.
You don't think it's the second year speedster. And I
mean obviously, like Milik Neighbors is more of a possession
slash explosive receiver where Jalen high Yeah, sure absolutely, Ben
(02:27:02):
and Jerry's was that cookie though?
Speaker 2 (02:27:03):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (02:27:04):
Absolutely, Yeah, that's very nice to you. That's that's awesome.
She knew we were losing. That's what happened right there.
Speaker 2 (02:27:10):
But like you know, Jen and I three, you know,
two three catches a game could get more yards.
Speaker 3 (02:27:16):
I don't understand. And and you had to take yesterday.
And this really has to be spinning right now about
the kickoff returns. Hyatt's the fastest guy. Hyat can make
those impact plays on special teams? Can he just not catch?
Is it something that I used to do? Is have
too much of an impact on the offense. Nobody the
field to him, there's a bunch of stuff because he
was so good at Tennessee when he had handed hooker.
(02:27:37):
He's been good in that volunteer offense. We know, we
know how good he can be. The only way Neighbors
has a worse season you're talking statistically than is if
he gets hurt because theirly with the league. Neighbors, there
is a chance and you and I will be drafting
our fantasy football teams less than a week from now.
He should be the focal point of the offense when
(02:27:58):
we think about it, like Sconda is a nice Daniel
Jones is athletic enough to make plays out of the pocket.
But when you really think about how often he rookie
is the focal point of an offense and.
Speaker 2 (02:28:09):
He's not the quarterback.
Speaker 3 (02:28:11):
Maybe Dallas with Zeke, I feel like Dez Bryan.
Speaker 50 (02:28:15):
Is my math.
Speaker 1 (02:28:17):
Giants, but Odell was there too. Yeah, Butquon was the
focal point.
Speaker 3 (02:28:21):
Like there's a lot of pressure on the leak Neighbors
to be the guy, like how many targets gonna get
a even ten, twelve, fourteen, But the Giants stink even more?
Like I get it, sa Quon and you by the way,
you and I were at that game when Saquon Barkley
made his debut for the Giants, and I still remember
that run where he had like three defenders on him.
Speaker 1 (02:28:39):
The oh, I couldn't block it. It was like Glicksen
the Matrix. He was all of a sudden, he was
five yards to the right. It was, it was, It
was impressive.
Speaker 2 (02:28:47):
Was that the one where you dressed completely inappropriate?
Speaker 28 (02:28:49):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (02:28:50):
I did, and my inappropriate I mean it was the
oh my goodness, we got we got some bed and
Jerry's going over here. This all of a sudden, the
losing hurts a little less.
Speaker 1 (02:28:58):
Thank you, you guys goes at all like it's it's
probably fifty degrees at best.
Speaker 2 (02:29:07):
Raining.
Speaker 1 (02:29:08):
God shows up in a white T shirt and Jim
shorts to the Giants game, sipping the beers, and we're
just mocking him the entire Our old boss and I
were just mocking him as we're dressed appropriately for the weather.
Speaker 2 (02:29:19):
Getting just lit up, having a good time. It was fun.
It was a good time.
Speaker 1 (02:29:23):
You know these right, So what what do you expect
from Jalen High this year? Because I know we're both
Jalen Hia fans.
Speaker 2 (02:29:28):
Zach, you want the first bite of this kind of
feed you, like, why are you trying to help? I
just asked you a question. You're eating and you're going
for a second.
Speaker 3 (02:29:37):
Spoonful before you answer, you said something about Jalen hide.
I heard, I heard Jalen Hyatt good season. What's his
expectation somewhere around there?
Speaker 2 (02:29:47):
Because we both loved him as a rookie and now
it seems like you're done with them.
Speaker 3 (02:29:50):
So what happens here with with young wine receivers?
Speaker 2 (02:29:53):
Right?
Speaker 3 (02:29:53):
You can have the justin Jefferson's Jamar Chases have these
records setting paces, and my mind keeps going to fantasy.
It's gonna make sense here for Giant fans that when
you have a bad team and they decide to make
that focus in the first round on a rookie wide
receiver you've seen really good seasons, just have to play
with the talent that's a wide receiver. The new rule
(02:30:13):
changes a bad team thrown in the second half. There's
a bunch of stuff that goes with this. But there's
a chance that Jalen Hyatt is the second option on
the Giants.
Speaker 2 (02:30:23):
Elikue Neighbors is one.
Speaker 3 (02:30:25):
You would think Devin Singletary would be too but if
Hyatt has the we'll call it the ceiling, he'd be
the number two option. There is also a chance that
Jalen Hyatt absolutely stinks. I don't think he should stake.
We've seen the talent, we've seen all the highlights. But
John Dottson is a great example of this. Johan Dotson
had a ton of hype around him and for whatever reason,
(02:30:47):
it just didn't work out. Washington a player I'm blanket
on his name, but they took him from TCU.
Speaker 2 (02:30:52):
That was the same way we've seen second We've had
second round.
Speaker 3 (02:30:57):
Players or first round players, you know, one through three,
the wide receiver spot who just can't find it. I
think about Denzel Mims from the Jets, like he was
a second round pick.
Speaker 2 (02:31:06):
It never worked out.
Speaker 3 (02:31:08):
So as much as you can have that speed and
being packful, we've learned in the NFL, speed can only
take you so far. A good example was Johnson Quentin
Johnson for the Chargers, right he was the first round
picked by the Chargers. The biggest diss on him and
I love saying this, even though it sounds mean. I've
never ever heard mel Kiper ever say the biggest knock
(02:31:28):
on him is he can't catch the ball of his hands,
but it works like you could be a physical beast
in college. You could be the fastest guy on the
field in college. Eventually it comes down to a skill set.
Can you beat a guy one on one? Can you
get open? Because open in high school, opening college, and
opening the NFL are three massively different things. So I
don't know if I answered your question ceiling.
Speaker 2 (02:31:50):
There, thank you.
Speaker 3 (02:31:52):
There was somebody else from TCO and Boykin was his
quarterback that year, But.
Speaker 2 (02:31:58):
What's the commander? Stock is probably the worst?
Speaker 3 (02:32:01):
Okay, so if Johann Dotson and Josh Doxon, yeah, okay,
that's why I was thinking of those receivers there almost
the same name. But the ceiling could be he could
be the number two option for the Giants. There's a
real possibility he's a non factor this season though for
New York as well.
Speaker 2 (02:32:18):
I think he could be the deep threat. I mean,
if it really depends on the running game, if there's
any kind of running game and he can just start
taking off down the field, if he might be able
to do some stuff.
Speaker 3 (02:32:29):
If you told me to rank the New York wide
receivers who are young, uh Keon Coleman, I think can
have a better season. I would say Garrett Wilson can
have a better season, and.
Speaker 1 (02:32:42):
Then you're going, you know, and all these other teams.
I mean, like Keon Coleman A right, who's gonna have
a better year? Key On Colan or Dalton Kon kay
the tight end for Buffalo ooh.
Speaker 2 (02:32:51):
Hmmm Coleman.
Speaker 3 (02:32:55):
I would say ky On Colan just because Dawson Knox
potentially could take some reps away King And here's the
problem with that, right, Like if Kinkaid could he finish
a top eight to eleven or twelve scoring tight end
and just impact overall? Absolutely, could Keon Coleman be a
top three rookie wide receiver? Yeah, those stats could be similar,
but Keon Coleman might be discussed as a top fifty
(02:33:18):
wide receiver. Walkin Kaid could be a top ten to twelve.
So I would say.
Speaker 2 (02:33:24):
Keon Coleman, but it would be very very close.
Speaker 1 (02:33:28):
You think I'm wondering because I think a lot of
that's gonna come down to how comfortable is Josh Allen
And I think it's gonna be a little more comfortable
with falling Kkad off the rip. Would you give them
better start carry us through all right, and the jets.
I really it's good. We all know it's gonna be
it's gonna be careful. How do you He's gonna be
such a mess so fast.
Speaker 3 (02:33:48):
I was giving hot takes and what happened was ice
cream started to slowly burn from all my hot takes.
Speaker 2 (02:33:52):
Yeah, they melted. His hot takes were so hot that
ice cream melted. Let me tell you.
Speaker 1 (02:33:57):
I was thinking about on the ride up today. I
was like, you know, wouldn be cool if we ran
a print shop? And I was like, Wow, that'd be
a lot of work. Though I wouldn't have to do
all that work. What about just like web development, that's
also a lot of work, and that's some knowledge I'd
have to learn a lot before I could even think
about that.
Speaker 2 (02:34:12):
Well, I'm good at advertising and marketing.
Speaker 1 (02:34:14):
When and I was like, wait, I don't need to
do any of these things, and you need to call
Elevation ten thousand. They do all this stuff I don't need.
Like they've become my easy button. Like that's who I
go to Elevation ten thousand. I'm wearing to the Elevation

Speaker 3 (02:35:04):

Speaker 1 (02:35:07):

a hard time in the very beginning and then ask

I could eat mine down inside the cup while you
were answering the questions, and then I'd be on my way.
Is this is this is that kind of forward thinking
that they do with Elevation ten thousand. That's why I've

Speaker 9 (02:37:13):

Speaker 28 (02:37:15):

are all gone. Now I'm really alone, no matter what
you're going through.
Speaker 45 (02:37:24):
I keep getting calls about the bills and I'm trying
to get a job. I feel so stuck.
Speaker 30 (02:37:31):
We are here for you.

Speaker 27 (02:38:12):
It's Avak and guzz On ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 3 (02:38:19):
I got it exact.
Speaker 2 (02:38:21):
Thank you pushing my body, Jerry did it?
Speaker 1 (02:38:25):
Oh my god? Don't you don't think that was you?
It might have been one other one produsting the hell
out of me.
Speaker 2 (02:38:34):
There, show you tell me I'm more more three point
five over under how many time you follted on me today?
It's more than zero, so it's over three and a half.
It's not that over. No, no, no, What did you
have for dinner last night?
Speaker 3 (02:38:53):
I told you I had leftover tacos.
Speaker 2 (02:38:55):
Oh, so it really was taco Tuesday on a Thursday,
Taco Thursday.
Speaker 1 (02:39:00):
Here's the thing about tacos where they like left out
in the yard, like where did these things come from?
Speaker 3 (02:39:04):
Here's here's what I have with taco Tuesday. So we
had way too much for taco tuos. I love tacos.
Tacos is my favorite, so I brought it Wednesday. But
here's the problem, Like we're taco Tuesday. I like the
taco bowl, a little salsa, a little sour cream, little.
Speaker 1 (02:39:19):
Cheese, and then every time you do anything, like whether
it's punching or cutting up, mixing a salad, you look
like those little punch puppets, Like that's.
Speaker 2 (02:39:29):
What you look like every time.
Speaker 3 (02:39:30):
But I'm mixing it up different tacos.
Speaker 2 (02:39:33):
I'm talking robot.
Speaker 3 (02:39:35):
My wife said we're gonna have actual tacos, so I
had to make like the actual taco. You know, you
heat it up a little bit, you put it in.
But we have so many leftoms and so many tortillas.
So I decided I was gonna do tacos yesterday.
Speaker 2 (02:39:47):
But then the kids get.
Speaker 3 (02:39:48):
Out of control and they're wrestling and they're fighting, so
I'm like, I will clean this up at some point.
Then I fell asleep long story short, I had about
six tacos at ten o'clock last night.
Speaker 2 (02:39:58):
That was my dinner.
Speaker 3 (02:40:00):
So maybe now hearing and talking this out loud, maybe
not the best idea listen.
Speaker 2 (02:40:06):
For me, for me to tell someone what to eat
or not to eat.
Speaker 3 (02:40:08):
Mini tacos, by the way, I should say that I'm
not define many like they're not regular sized tacos. They
were smaller than usual tacos. I don't want people that
think I'm just pounding down burritos attack.
Speaker 2 (02:40:19):
I wouldn't rather you.
Speaker 1 (02:40:20):
Were eating full sized tacos. For the just landfill of
smell that I've been getting hit with for the last
three hours, the loud one that you like, just right
in front of my face. Early, luckily I ran before
I caught the smell, and because of the pink eye
which I've received, and I probably need a tennis shot.
I'm okay now I didn't get that one. But since then,
(02:40:43):
every time the wind blows this way, I get hit
with a with a little gas bomb.
Speaker 3 (02:40:47):
I don't know if those have been me. I think
we are near the restroom.
Speaker 2 (02:40:51):
The fact that you the way you're talking tells me
it's you. Over under three and a half yeah, of course,
there you go.
Speaker 3 (02:40:59):
Here's what I would say. I would say a lot
of those people right there, they've been doing it, you know,
like they have classic leg But those people people have
been taking the free Why are you pointing at the
you know that guy just let one go? Did you
so you've been Oh so that's what you're doing.
Speaker 1 (02:41:13):
You're waiting for someone to get close to the table,
and you're using them as fart camouflage.
Speaker 3 (02:41:17):
That's that's an accusation, and it's not true. That ice
cream was delicious.
Speaker 1 (02:41:25):
Yeah, the ice Thank you, Ben and Jerry's I hope
I'll get to keep it down with the help of
fark Cloud over here.
Speaker 3 (02:41:33):
I know it's not to play the day, but I
have something here for the dump. Dornick's my opinion?
Speaker 2 (02:41:37):
Or do so? Your dad is TG too? Your TG pooh? No, no,
no it was.
Speaker 54 (02:41:44):
And one fart at least at least for at least
four maybe two four at least I would probably think more.
Speaker 3 (02:41:56):
Door knock Jason Worth's horse. That's my play for the
travers underneath. I don't know what I'm doing yet. Do
I take the Philly? Do I take the female? Yes,
that's my play.
Speaker 2 (02:42:11):
Will you throw this away from me, please before thank you?
Speaker 4 (02:42:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:42:17):
Probably so she turned sideways. Oddly enough, there was an owner.
I like fierceness, but Matthew sand has kind of sold
me on Sierra Leone. He was so passionate about it.
I don't, I think. So I'm gonna go. I'm gonna
go with.
Speaker 1 (02:42:33):
Exactive box Sierra Leone, fierceness in door knock.
Speaker 2 (02:42:39):
Before you make that play, before you lock it in,
before you make that play.
Speaker 3 (02:42:46):
What if I told you? I told you I probably
should have done.
Speaker 2 (02:42:49):
This during the interview.
Speaker 3 (02:42:49):
I have an immediate regret during the Matthew just Santas
interview because he took Sierra Leone. Do you know Andrew
Champagne's play for the Travers?
Speaker 2 (02:42:57):
What is it? Sierra Leone?
Speaker 1 (02:43:00):
And listen, they both know horses and they don't like
each other, he said, Sierra Leone. There go, But I
mean if they don't like each other and they both
like Sierra Leone, then I like Sierra Leone even more.
Speaker 5 (02:43:12):
I have.
Speaker 2 (02:43:14):
No faith in Sierra Leone.
Speaker 3 (02:43:15):
Here's what.
Speaker 1 (02:43:18):
Wait a minute, so I could get the guy who
led me into multiple losing bets today, or I can
go with the UH two experts who don't like each
other but have come to the same conclusion.
Speaker 3 (02:43:30):
You have two choices, Which choice will you pick?
Speaker 2 (02:43:35):
Not the guy who farted on me the entire show.
Speaker 3 (02:43:37):
I will say this about Sierra Leone, and maybe this
is me holding a grudge against Chad Brown and they
shouldn't be doing that. But here's what happens every year.
It is a lot of it because every year, with
all due respect in Chad Brown gets a lot of
love here in the Capitol region. People want to see
him win like people want to see him win because
he's got the local connection. It's a great story. You
(02:43:58):
mentioned this during the interview. I think with Pat McKenna,
I think you had said his day will come and
everybody wants to happen so bad. He's gonna have some
horses that can run. I know he won, has won
so many races here in the past. Sire Leone has
done nothing for me to believe that horse is gonna
be the horse that does it. I would rather I
loved Matthew DeSantis's talk about the fight where everyone's gonna
(02:44:19):
go at door knock, everybody's gonna go everybody's gonna give
him a shot. The coolest part about that horse is
that he fights and fights and fights. It's such a
fun horse to root for. At this point, what's the
number gonna be? Is he going off at eight to five?
Is he going off a two to one? Is he
going off of seven to two? Because I haven't heard anybody,
not a single person picked that horse yet, nobody how
(02:44:42):
everybody wants to smarter, Everyone wants to find that the
wisecot horse. I get it Saratoga, and honestly, talking this
out loud, maybe I just answered my own question of
I lost in a four to five earlier today. I
lost on a one to one earlier today, both on
pick threes. Potentially, maybe I shouldn't take the one to
one if you go, Maybe I shouldn't take the favorite
(02:45:02):
if twenty twenty four, it's Saratoga has taught me anything,
although it should have taught me this far before. Maybe
don't take the favorite in the big race at Saratog.
I was saying, sixty yards away watching that American Pharaoh
race in twenty fifteen from where we're sitting right now,
maybe I should learn my life.
Speaker 1 (02:45:17):
Wednesday, Matthew Santstel is what the favorite is going off?
Is winning like thirty percent of the races or something
like that, So seventy percent of the time you should
not be betting the favorite.
Speaker 2 (02:45:30):
Now, how do you know what seventy percent? Is the
good question to ask?
Speaker 1 (02:45:35):
And I would say the seventy percent gods bets the
favorite is your best chance to go against it.
Speaker 3 (02:45:42):
That's so good, it's still spot on.
Speaker 2 (02:45:44):
I don't like that.
Speaker 3 (02:45:45):
I'm gosin. That's scenario, you know what?
Speaker 2 (02:45:49):
You know what that like?
Speaker 1 (02:45:51):
In Sorry, you're you're the public and in the world
of like regular wagering, not just parimutual horse betting. You
bet against the favorite, you bet it the public, you
go whatever the public says, you go the other way.
Speaker 2 (02:46:03):
So you're the public. So so who do you like?
You like door knock?
Speaker 1 (02:46:07):
Yes, all right, so door Knock is gonna be in
my super but not even in my triple now moved
it down, moved it down. Unmatched has now gone up
in there, unmatched wisdom like that.
Speaker 2 (02:46:18):
No love for torpedo, And I think.
Speaker 3 (02:46:22):
I convinced myself she's gonna finish in second, but I don't. Again,
Matthew said, this is.
Speaker 2 (02:46:27):
In my head.
Speaker 3 (02:46:28):
Closers in my head Champagne's in my head of val
right value value value. You think you're gonna get the
you know what, I'm sticking with it. I'm putting her
second because I actually want to see her fight for that.
I think the crowd would go if you're here tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (02:46:39):
You think Champagne's gonna it's gonna rain in there.
Speaker 3 (02:46:43):
If you're here tomorrow and she goes to the leade
at any point, the roof is gonna come off. This place, like,
this place is gonna go berserk if she is actually
in contention down the stretch. I kind of as a fan,
want to see her in contention. If she gets beat
at the end, she gets beat at the end, but
to see her in the middle would be I feel
like I'm doing a moral victory. Take care about torpedo,
(02:47:04):
like like, if she's in the mix, it would be
wild here. But I put her second.
Speaker 2 (02:47:09):
I'm gonna put her second. I thought there was no
other thing as gender. I thought that was a construct.
I didn't realize so many people are not woken up here. Yeah,
in the world of thoroughbred racing, people need to be
way more woke.
Speaker 3 (02:47:24):
Here's my best.
Speaker 2 (02:47:24):
Maybe she identifies as a male horse.
Speaker 3 (02:47:28):
Here's what I hope happens.
Speaker 2 (02:47:29):
I hope Georgia Tech. If you feel mocked right now, good.
Speaker 3 (02:47:33):
I hope Georgia Tech covers. Then I hope something happened
in that Montana State game, right and then like right
around that time, I would have catched some wagers and
then I flipped that money to my exact to play
and do it like four or five times, and then
I don't man, gosh, the saintess also that race before
it has got so much potential money that you could win.
(02:47:56):
And then we watch a Hawaii football at midnight. Depends
on how that goes. It will be beers, would be
a quick nap will it'd be firing off and over
for Hawaii, fire off.
Speaker 2 (02:48:04):
And under her butt. That's all good. Stanky boy, you stink.
You were terrible. You have turned the dump into what
it actually the original dump. Yes, you've been dumping all day.
Speaker 3 (02:48:20):
I thought, like, I'm going a lot of support on
social media though, some a.
Speaker 2 (02:48:25):
On Twitter.
Speaker 3 (02:48:26):
Six mini tacos at ten o'clock after falling asleep, putting
the kids to bed, and that is an ultimate dad move.
All of us dads are proud of you.
Speaker 1 (02:48:34):
I got no problem with you eating and again there
were not many tacos. Let's be honest, I got no
problem with you eating tacos at night unless you're gonna
do this.
Speaker 2 (02:48:41):
And normally we're in different rooms. Today I happen to
be downwind, and that's just not fair to me, Like
I've never done this to you, Like I'm I may
have to. I may have to before next Friday.
Speaker 1 (02:48:52):
I may have to just just eat like a trash can,
just eat like a raccoon the night before and just
just doush, you just do damage.
Speaker 2 (02:49:02):
Maybe I'll go eat under the orange roof at like midnight,
just waiting it out.
Speaker 1 (02:49:07):
Yeah, give get uber over, chug a bunch of draft beer,
eat a bunch of spicy wings.
Speaker 2 (02:49:13):
I think ime hang out with you the next day.
Speaker 3 (02:49:15):
We're gonna have a female on our presence here next week.
I would not act like that. If naughty your dealing,
we're here, I don't care, just dud you did this
out here, just a bunch of guys having a guy
this Weekenda, So you knew.
Speaker 1 (02:49:26):
That, because so because Zach is here, you think it's
appropriate to to crop dust your partner.
Speaker 3 (02:49:32):
No, I appropriate, It's just such a such a label there.
I thought we were just guys being guys, you know,
living it up, firing off, wait, races and horses and
all that stuff. But here I am not being embraced
by the dudes. Man, I won't do this next week. Okay,
I will be a different person when Delia's here. I'm
(02:49:53):
a different person when Naughty is here. You know that
be called out about we're just guys being guys. You
Ma is destroying everybody. It's must must have a good
one for you. But you didn't hear it, zach Er
and it even Dyet, I don't even I'm wanna talk
(02:50:13):
about Mohawkanda here quickly. I don't think they want to
be a part of this show today. We are gonna
be actually think about what that.
Speaker 2 (02:50:18):
Poor Honda has been through today. You need to take that.
Speaker 1 (02:50:24):
You need to take that Honda over and get it
and get it cleaned professionally by a friends in Mohawkanda.
Speaker 2 (02:50:30):
They have that cleaning bany. Now you need to go
over there and clean that professionally. They need to get
on that seat.
Speaker 3 (02:50:35):
Look at this race. By the way, Idiomican randomized right
next to each other, neck and neck, just like the
Santa is called well done. Matthew Santas mohawk Kanda. Whether
it's the c RV, whether it's the Odyssey, whether it's
the Pilot, whatever fits your style, your budget more.
Speaker 2 (02:50:48):
Mohawk Kanda wants to or with you.
Speaker 3 (02:50:50):
Your lifestyle might be changing, Maybe you're adding additions to
your family. Maybe there's somebody in your family as soon
to be baby. Maybe you've got married, maybe got nieces
and nephew's visiting from it's last summer weekend. Mohawk can
help you find that ride for you today. Stop over

oh ways find people to go out of their way
to please you? What are absolute choke there by ideo
manneck at the end? Wow, that actually made me feel better.
Speaker 2 (02:51:27):
Nobody's swearing any of these zach is having zach is
having a day. Zach is having a day.
Speaker 1 (02:51:35):
Zak has been has watched victory be clutched out of
the I'm sorry defeat and clutched out of the jaws
of the victory for himself the entire day.
Speaker 2 (02:51:43):
Look at this is like six lengths.
Speaker 9 (02:51:45):
He's gone.
Speaker 2 (02:51:47):
Down. What in the world happens?
Speaker 1 (02:51:48):
He gets tracked down. He gets tracked down. That's why
these things happen sometimes, guys, That's why. That's why they
call it gambling, not winning. Okay, you know you gotta
pay attention. You got you can only use one of
you can afford to lose.
Speaker 3 (02:52:00):
All hunter, gambler, We've all learned something very valuable today.
Let's all say together, we won't bet the four to five.
We won't bet the four. We're done betting. I will
make that claim again. Well, Mac, I will not bet
any favorites. When we show up next week and I
catch you, and when then I are bets challenge this
time next week.
Speaker 2 (02:52:18):
I bet that you make a bet on a favorite
next week?
Speaker 3 (02:52:24):
Could I bet that I haven't seen the card yet?
But I'm telling you, I'm telling I don't know the
card yet, but I'm telling myself right now, but I'm
not gonna do that because we saw too many of
those loose today.
Speaker 2 (02:52:34):
All Right, we just promise me you're gonna you'll you'll
eat your mini tacos at an earlier hour next week
when we're.
Speaker 3 (02:52:40):
Talking to you're making me take all these predictions about
when's taco to.
Speaker 2 (02:52:45):
I just don't want to. I just don't want pinky
two weeks in a round, that's all. It's all asking.
Speaker 3 (02:52:50):
I'm gonna say this. We're gonna have your birthday on Monday.
We have a special show coming up on Monday. It
is the day of your I've gotten you a gift.
I added a push notification the gifts you give me today,
I do not want to go.
Speaker 2 (02:53:01):
I might. I might return those of Cender. That'd be great.
Speaker 3 (02:53:03):
I might send out a social media post. It might
be it will be a glorious celebration.
Speaker 2 (02:53:08):
You mentioned this.
Speaker 3 (02:53:09):
I don't know how calendars work, but usually well your calendar,
I should have said, I don't know how it usually
works that you're never on your birthday. You're never working.
This actually might be the first show we've done together
on your birthday.
Speaker 2 (02:53:21):
Because though he does anything for my birthday anymore, so
it doesn't matter.
Speaker 3 (02:53:24):
Usually you took the time off.
Speaker 1 (02:53:25):
So yeah, you know so because people had plans for
me on my birthday, no always planning anything for my birthday,
so I might as well work.
Speaker 3 (02:53:31):
That's what I have a whole show planned, three hours
of sports talk com You did?
Speaker 2 (02:53:35):
You have nothing planned? You maybe have one like five
minutes plan.
Speaker 3 (02:53:39):
I think we're gonna do the CDTA Kickstarter. I think
we'll do the Top four to four, the play, the Day,
the Dump. We got a lot of stuff playing for Monday's.
Speaker 2 (02:53:47):
Show, Yeah, which I'm gonna have to come up with
most of it. But a happy birthday to me. That's
my gift to myself, I guess.
Speaker 1 (02:53:52):
