Happy Monday, everybody. It is Levac, guys, and we don't
start a Monday show without help from our friends from
c DTA. It is the CDTA kick Starter, that's right.
Somehow guys decided it was fun to have Jeff come
up with ten quick stories because I made you come
up with four every day. Well he's five or whatever.
That's a story for another time, maybe the future.

You know what, I want to start off differently, but
I'm not gonna. I read the sheet today, so I'm
gonna hold off I wanted I want to do. My
wife is not happy with me right now. She said,
this is how you should start the show today.

I'm your beautiful wife sent me a sweet text this morning.
I almost cried.

You know that I actually have feelings I haven't eaten yet,
and you're you're picking at them today and I love
you for it, but stop.

I think this is one of those situations where yes,
you can go ahead and pooh pooh what Zach Wilson
did in the final preseason game. But I think if
you do that, you negate the fact that the kids
talented and maybe with the right guidance, could go somewhere.
Zack Wilson sixteen to twenty five, two hundred and fifty

perfection from former Jack quarterbacks Zach Wilson.

I liked him when he was covering against Boise State
during the COVID season. That's what I like Zack Wilson.
But he's played with adults in the first adult season.
He played well again where the defensive back didn't pick
off one of the touchdowns. So he played well well
against very very bad professional football player.

I choose to be positive, and I think that he's
shown you that he still has gifts and abilities. He's
at least third string in the NFL. How do you
like that at least third string?

I agree, yeah, he might hear second string. He might
be he's a top ninety quarterback in the NFL. I'll
give you that.

He's at worst practice squad, and that's better than us.
Who's better than Goz? No boy, we zero of the
NFL season, coming at number nine right here, But simply
because I already want to say, goz one and Oh
sniffed out Georgia Tech over Florida State months ago. I
think when the schedule came out, goz circled this one

well for us when we both jump on the same one.
I also liked the over that game fell short of that.
I was hoping for a little overtime love on that,

They might meet him with whatever's going on with Seawan Watson.

Maybe I'm the only one who thought about this, but
consuming some Jets Giants football, I kept thinking, like, you know,
a lot of people don't like the Pro Bowl, A
lot of people don't like the All Star weekend because
they complain about the effort and the product and it's
not as good as everything else. No one's complaining yet
about the preseason, because if you just want the NFL
to return, I kept thinking about the Pro Bowl watching
that game of ooh, this is not the same level

I wanted to see the Raiders play the Niners. It
was the Niners starters versus the Raiders, who know not
even the maybe the colony Raiders and I know that.

It was not a good game, but the Raiders still
ended at a tie, which is even weirder. But again,
the preseason is officially over. We now wait was it
ten days? And then the NFL regular season kicks off
and everything changed.

I also have an NFL Plus the suscription and no,
we're not kissing up to Scott Hansen, so as people
email us back and get him on the show this week.
But mine's a monthly payment. I think i'll start mind
September first. I don't know if I'm gonna go back
and watch it condensed preseason games.

I do the yearly. I do the yearly because it's
a little cheaper. That is, I did it last year.

days until the kick off September fifth. So at this point, everyone,
you really don't want to hear your team's name in
the news. You don't want to hear unless you're the

still don't.

they did on the beach and field tackles. This inflatable dummy.
This inflatable Like I'm an inflatable dummy. It was just

in you yard to throw footballs into, so not like
built to be tackled and he I mean, he had
he square up. He took it down with some ferocity.
He took he he understood the assignment, dislocated his shoulder

and you could tell he was hurt when he got up,
like he was hurt. Adam Schefter made light of it,
and I started dying. I laughed, So like I think
I must have, Like I'm never let go of being
scolded on my own show. I think so, I'm like
a little angry at old Field Yates. So he had
he had to go to the hospital and get his
shoulder popped back in, and like, I know it's painful
when you dislocate your shoulder. Mine, I've torn some rotator

cups which I've been on the verge of dislocation and
I've been able to get back where it had to
go and rehab through. But like I giggled, I laughed,
I feel bad about it.

The level I know nothing when it comes to health
and the human body or anything. The only thing I
know is about dislocating shoulders. Because sadly that ended my
college football career. Uh, there's levels to this thing. I
feel like that's Maclamore who would say that. So what
is the injury field, they aints, Is it just a
slight tear in the front gun be back in a
couple of weeks. Do you have that rotator cuff where

you could really fight through it if you're a man?
Did you tear up the labrum like Drew Brees near
things hanging like a piece of spaghetti. I don't want
to compare myself to Drew Brees, but I'd go in
that last category if what my shoulder looked.

But there is something about this is gonna sound like
I'm taking a shot at his manhood, but you know
you saw the cut here the clip. There's something about
somebody field the Yates' size and what he does for

and you did that and your shoulder just broken half.

truck a million miles per hour. And then I got
out and I celebrated with a fist pump like those
guys down in the city dune and showed pop brought out.

It's like a ball and string. And then uh know,
just right back in here, I go.

As tough as it looks when someone pops their shoulder
back in. I learned about the science. It's torn. It
fell off like you put Just because you put it
back in doesn't mean it's fixed. Now, Like you have
a ball in a socket and it comes off the thing.

And all the muscles that hold it in right.

Or ripped that just go to the doctors.

Put it back together, put your shoulder or don't or
take hits for months and then not be able to
lift your arm in the show in the shower and
try to wash your hair, and then slowly watch your
Division III football career spiraled down the drain.

Why does this sound like a personal experience all of
a sudden.

Speaker 1 (41:39):
The best part, well, hold on at that point when
you dislocated your shoulder, you did it during a game.

Uh the first time I did it, I was fifteen
and did this.

That's probably why I feel little bit more different, like
I was that person who would pop it back in out.
But yes, I did it in the first game of
the season.

And then when did it happen at a college level?

Speaker 3 (42:00):
Oh, I'm sorry, my first game junior year in college.

Okay, so you were already dating you're now wife. Yes,
what did she go to school for physical therapy? She
was a junior as well. What was her advice as
a professional?

Get surgery as soon as possible, and then go to
physical therapy.

And so when did you get when did you ever
have the surgery two months later?

And then physical therapy You should last for four months,
and I did it for seven weeks and then said
I got This is what I told the trainer in
physical therapist.

I'm a twenty one year old. I don't have a
doctorate in physical therapy. I got it. That might have,
you know, played a factor. Actually, now you can't.

Letter Network podcast. Oh's not as good without Matthew Berry?

Maybe listeners are like this now and I'm not criticized,
so you can squirrels fine. But I feel like people
get accustomed to certain things, Like Matthew Berry used to
be on that show. He's now on NBC. I don't
like the NBC show as much. I like bear Fulica,
we like Jeff Schwartz. I liked it better than you,
Stanford Steve when you were off last week. No disrespect
to Ryan or Sean or Zach. People were not happy

and I were together or you were missing. I wonder
if we're more spoiled than ever. We can get what
we want when we want, and when someone changes it,
they really hate it. Maybe I'm in that category because
I don't like that show as much without Matthew Berry.

Well, he is good. I catch him eye's while on
random station, the NBC stuff.

Yeah, Oh you know, I don't anymore because I had

you need to listen because he's compelling. They don't really
have that right now. They have a lot of guys
who are very analytical, but not they don't stand out. Well.

Like when Max Kellerman and Steven Ain't to it or
skip baylists, there was actually some animosity. I wonder if
I'm like, oh, two guys talking about sports and disagreeing,
I'm used to that. Two women talking about fantasy football
and disagreeing to battle for turf. There could only be one.
Maybe I'm stereotyping too much. Yeah, I actually they hate
each other, though, No.
