Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's love acking Guz on the voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five to nine and
nine eighty.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Were so close to the return of the Well we
did a way too early preview. I've actually just thrown
those notes away. I don't even I don't even look
at those notes anymore. Changed my mind on thinking I
think on everything. I still feel pretty similar about the
New York teams. I think I'm not giving up on Buffalo.

(00:28):
I think Buffalo. I think Buffalo is horribly underrated right now.
I think that's where I'm out with Buffalo. I think
because of the turnover and the defense, it's Stefan Diggs
not being there. I feel like everybody just kind of
gave up on them. I think they're a well coached team.
I think they had good talent come in to replace
the good talent that came out. I think they'll be fine.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
Yes, the Bills in the twenty twenty four season, how
teams are viewing them. By the way, if you're listening
on our radio side, this is our full NFL preview
show twenty twenty four. We're gonna go through all the divisions.
Your favorite team will get mentioned. We got bold takes
come up, and we are hoping for the fifth consecutive
year we will nail at least one Super Bowl team

(01:09):
on this show. We've done it for you both. Love
that claims he's gonna get both. We're going for a
year number five that at least one of us gets
it right. That is the bringing right we have. And
for our digital audience, if you're just on our podcast side,
you're gonna notice this is one full episode. If you
want to fast forward to your favorite team, your division,
the super Bowl, and everything else, we hope you listen
to the entire episode to support our sponsors. But it

(01:30):
is time stamped underneath. So if you want to find
your division, your team, our Bowl takes, and everything else,
just look down at the notes. It's time stamped, all right.
So we're leading off her to the New York teams.
You mentioned the Bills right out of the gates.

Speaker 2 (01:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
I picked the Buffalo Bills to win the Super Bowl
last season in Las Vegas. They did not do that.
They did not win the Shop. I'm very sure of it.
They did not win the super Bowl last season. Where
you and I go in different directions for the Bills,
is that if you told me that this is the
worst Bills roster they've had the last five seasons, I
would tell you it is. I'll tell you this is
the worst roster now. That's because veterans have left the team.

(02:03):
Mulano's injured again, Captains in back players, familiar names that
we know are no longer for the Buffalo Bills. However,
that really doesn't matter. We've seen teams across sports be
a worse roster than a previous roster and have success.
Always think about Clemson football for a great example of that.
The biggest thing for the Buffalo Bills this season is
can the young guys step up? Can James Cook be

(02:24):
a top ten running back? Can Keon Coleman be the
number one target? Can guys like Dalton kin Kaid be
a top tier tight end? Can they really rely on
these young guys to make plays so Josh Allen doesn't
have to run, throw, catch, make the popcorn drink with
the Bills mafia and everything else. We talked earlier in
August Lavack about Alan going to social media and Bracing
being the biggest trash talker. I am not as confident

(02:47):
in the Bills this season that I've been in a
season past. I said last year that they were going
to be out of the playoff picture and then work
their way back in. It feels the same thing for
me that Buffalo is going to be in a fight
the higher season till December and maybe even January when
Week eighteen hits, fighting for a playoff spot.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
I think they're gonna have a strong defense. They've got,
you know, solid defensive line, good pass rushers. The secondary
is what makes me a little nervous. But with good
pass rushers and good a defensive line, you can kind
of hide those things, those blemishes. So I just and
you've got what's that guy? Can't think of his name.
He's tall. I think he plays quarterback for the Bills.

(03:29):
He's kind of good. Who's that guy? Oh, Josh Allen.
They've got Josh freaking Allen, dude, and James cook Is
is a very good running back. Now they're the one
thing that makes me nervous is the youth and wide
receiver and that they're going to you know, all reports are,
however true of those are that they're gonna try and
force the ball to Dalton Kincaid. To make that make

(03:52):
sense that they went and got him with Dawson Knox
already on the roster. So I just I have faith
in what the Bills front off is to. I have
faith in what Sean McDermott does as a coach. I
like Brady the OC. I think he's I think he's
he's gonna be one of those guys that at some
point were like, you know, every time I had coaching

(04:14):
jobs open, you're gonna hear his name. So I'm I'm
still with the Bills. I haven't left the Bills yet.
I think I think they are a playoff team. I
know we're gonna break down then FFC East as a whole,
but I think the Bills are a team that could
very well be dancing if you will in the postseason.
You want to stay in the East, you want to
go to you wanna go over the.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
NFC, Let's stay in the AFC. So we talk about
the New York Jets. By the way, your Home for
Jets Football in twenty twenty four is right here, Fox
Sports ninety five nine ninety eighty. Every regular season game,
including pre and post game, you could hear now on
your Home for Jets Football, the Voice of the Camp.
But a region sports. And I say all that because

(04:54):
I think we can both confidently say, even though now
we're the home for the Jets, our affiliation with the
Jets will not affect what we think about this prediction
coming on. But we're officially a jet station. We are
officially a Jet state. We are we are Fox Sports
ninety eight.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
Where that what did that announcement happened? It happened like
right now.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
It happened likely before you're listening to the show final
of all. Guess it was on social media. We put
something out on the internet.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
I feel like I would have talked about that. That's
a good time to be a jet station. We didn't
talk about Thursday or Friday. I thought, we don't listen
to you. I'm in vacation mode, bro, I was short timing.
I was trying to keep you out of jail. Okay,
that's where I was at, drafting teams and everything. All right,
So we are the official station for the Yeah, that's
not going to change. If they stink, they stink. They

(05:43):
don't stink. My my worries when it comes to the Jets.
And this is how I look at him, like, can
I tear the product down? Is kind of where I live.
The Hassan Radicks still kind of controlling his own fate.
The I'm losing some fit. I thought Bob Solid was
gonna be that tough guy coach, and I don't feel

(06:05):
like he is. I feel like he's your buddy, he's
your pal, He's Joe Douglas's doormat. I don't I need
to see that monster from the sideline back in San
Francisco as a defensive coordinator. And I know you're head coach.
You gotta carry yourself differently. Hey, you don't why the
hires head coach because what you did in San Francisco.
Get out there, be that monster and kick some butts.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
Jets fans are gonna laugh at me and maybe cry
at the same time when they already know the answer
to my question I'm about to ask, So hang on
to your emotions here, Jet fans. But the question is
why can't this Jets team win the Super Bowl? And
I don't know what Jet fans says out loud listening
to this podcast, listening to the radio show.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
Because another team is gonna score more points.

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Well, because they're the Jets, Gus, We've put ourselves through
this that's why they're not gonna win the Super Bowl.
Because I'm a long suffering Jet fans. This is Jet
fans saying this, that's why they can't. But if you
take away that part, which Jet fans will probably ignore
for me on that, if you take away that answer
that you've believed in for so long, you've got everything

(07:08):
you want. And I know you had it in twenty
twenty three. But coming off that conversation I just mentioned
about Buffalo, it's opposite here for the New York just
this team is better this season than last season. You've
had a more experienced Garrett Wilson. The offensive line stunk,
it got completely revamped. You've got Breis Hall in the
backfield and a young talent and Allen who knows what
his reps are gonna be. But that was a prized

(07:29):
pick by some teams hoping to get an early twenty
year old running back. You've had an improved defense, a
more experienced Sauce Gardner, a nicer, softer schedule because you
struggled last season, no questions about Zach Wilson, no story.
This is a better Jet team in twenty twenty four
than twenty twenty three. The question is how good is
Aaron Rodgers post injury that can end careers that seriously,

(07:54):
people have had their careers ended by that injury deep
into his career. The question is Aaron Rodgers always been
good because of the Packers. Is he a Hall of Famer? Absolutely,
But it comes down of what Rogers can really do.
The Jets are a true Super Bowl contender in the AFC,
and I I'm gonna hold off on where I think
they're gonna finish in the division, but they will be

(08:15):
a playoff team in twenty twenty four and I think
they will have a better record than the Buffalo Bills.

Speaker 2 (08:20):
There are two and only two in my opinion at
this moment legit contenders for the NFL Comeback Player of
the Year. Actually, you know what, I'm sorry, there's three
now because of Dalvin Cook being on a roster. I'm
not gonna tell you who the other one is because
that's part of what's coming up player in the show.
But if Aaron Rodgers is not in contention, if not

(08:40):
winning the Comeback Player of the Year all season, the
Jets might stake. But if he is in contention to
win the Comeback Player of the Year and even if
he doesn't win it. He's just in it every week
like he's back. He's throwing two touchdowns, three touchdowns, doing this,
he's doing over look at he's not even throwing the
ball this game because they didn't need him too. Like whatever.
If he's not part of that conversation, the Jets are

(09:00):
serious trouble. Can Daniel Jones be a comeback player? He
had one good year? Right, you did have one? Can
you give me a come back? Okay? Wait, so now
I got four. I'm up to four. Now I'm still
not gonna tell you the other one because that's part
of the show coming up. As we pivot towards the
New York Football Giants one hundred year anniversary Hard Knocks offseason,

(09:21):
Joe Shanees, the darling of the league gods, cannot wait
to poop on this team.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
Go ahead, don't forget just because you set me up
like that. Let's not forget that. You know, eight nine
minutes ago, when I said that we have now the
Super Bowl participant, one of us on this show in
the past four seasons. I changed my pick last season
when we did it on the July fourth week, I
believe I had the San Francisco forty nine Ers representing
the NFC. You stayed with that pick, You got it right.

(09:49):
I changed my pick on this episode last year from
the forty nine ers to the Giants. I looked at
the Giants' schedule. I looked at how much better Daniel
Jones got. I looked Brian Daboles, then reigning defending a
head coach of the Year, said, you get a second
year in this offense. The Giants will be better Saquon's
than a contract season. They'll trade for a wide receiver,

(10:09):
They've got the defense. It made sense that the Giants
would have improved going to twenty twenty three, and because
of how the schedule laid out in the postseason, they
had a path to the Super Bowl. I also was wrong.
I was wrong Now to the Lavack's point about me
poop pooing on the giantsoopoo, let me start the pooh pooh,
shall I? As I slowly remove my Okay, that's visually,

(10:32):
you don't need to know what's happening. They stink, They're
not good. I've tried to buy in from Hard Knocks.
I think that Hard Knock season is one of the
most compelling and entertaining hard knock seasons. Since the Jets
in the Rex Ryan, their quarterback's not good. They're running
backs bottom tier, they're a wide receiver. They're counting on
the entire offense beginning as there's a rookie. The defense
is good, but it's again back to like the Jet

(10:54):
thing in the building where I keep going to the
steam of this. In this opening segment, the Bills roster
is not as good as it was previous years. Because
of talent, Jets are better. The Giants are not just
worse as a roster, but the division got so much better.
Dallas is better, Philly is better. Washington put a pin
in that. I'll go back to the Commanders later on.

(11:14):
The Giants, because of their schedule, their competition, their lack
of quarterback play, they are going to stink. I would
put them at about four wins, five wins, sitting right
around four or five. They will be back in the
top four or five in the NFL draft. And if
you're a Giant fan, watch a lot of Texas football.
You might like Quinn Yours, Watch Colorado Shador Sanders, watch

(11:37):
Georgia Carson Beck. You will have a new quarterback on
the roster in twenty twenty five.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
I don't necessarily disagree with that part. I do think
they're gonna win more than four games. And here's the thing.
I think, Giants fan, your new best friend, a name
that you didn't know before but you're gonna know, is
a gentleman so mad you have him. It's Carmen Brisilla,
the offensive line coach for the Giants. Now is the

(12:08):
real beleeping deal. The reason you went after former Raiders
and stuff like that in your offensive line is because
this dude coached them up. This dude is different. He
was the you know how we always go like, why
not just be what you're great at? Why Why I
feel like you've got to be a head coach. Why

(12:28):
I feel like you've got to be an offensive coordinator.
This dude is an offensive line coach. That is what
he does. That is what he has done since twenty
ten at Youngstown State. Then he went up to he
was a coaching assistant for the Pats. He was the
offensive line coach for the Pats the Raiders last year.
The Raiders run game was so different with him there.

(12:51):
He is going to take that bottom tier running back,
which I don't feel as fair and make him even better.
I think I think they are going to be okay.
I don't think. I don't know if they make the playoffs,
but it is going to be. It's gonna be a
respectable season for the New York Football Giants.

Speaker 3 (13:08):
We will talk about the division standings where they stack
up the Jets the Bills, so they're gonna be playoff teams.
I can guarantee you I will not have the Giants
back in the Super Bowl. By the way, we mentioned
the Jets are home for the Jets in the Capitol
region is right here, Fox Sports ninety five nine and
ninet eighty. Let's not forget about the Giants on our
sister's Nation Picks one oh six. You want to listen
to Giants' action, our friends quitting Cantara, John Schmelk on

(13:31):
weekly with them. We'd love John Schmelk. So, Giants fans,
we still have a home for you. It's right here,
Picks one oh six. Well, not right here, just the
same building, same building, two doors down, New York Power Rankings.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
I go, Bills, Jets, Giants, How could you do that
to me?

Speaker 3 (13:46):
Fourteen minutes into the show, already drop an NFL powering.
Aren't we gonna wait till tomorrow do power jets bills?

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Giants? Okay, you're wrong, but I appreciate you for being wrong.
Power rankings. My power ranks higher than your power. That's
that's we're doing good here. Let's go.

Speaker 3 (14:00):
Let's talk about Lillian David Fine Jueliers. We always hear
because of the great support we get from local businesses,
local sponsorships, local people that continue to help you across
the Capital region. This might be one of the few
times you listen to Lavak and Guns this year.

Speaker 2 (14:12):
We hope not. We hope you continue to listen to
us Monday through Fridays three to six.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
We also hope you can go out and support great
businesses like Lillian David Fine Jueliers, that family owned and
operated business. I know from experience, my engagement ring, Lilian
David find Juliers, my wedding band that I wear all
the time, Lilian David find Jewelers. Guys, maybe be ready
to propose holidays just around the corner, Lilian David Fine
Jeweler's other guys. Maybe you're planning for the wedding. Now's
your chance to make a stand. The final stand before

(14:38):
you're married, and do not get married in the fall
football season. Don't do that to yourself, Lilian d We say, negotiate.

Speaker 2 (14:44):
Get her a ring she really loves, so she'll accept
pushing things back a little bit.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
Think about that. That's the vac saying that right there.
You get her a wonderful ring, a wedding band, and say,
I'll get whatever ring you want if you let me
pick the wedding day. It's probably not gonna work, but
give it a shot.

Speaker 2 (15:01):
Season. I mean, this season is all you really need.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
Now June, you're a bride forever in June. Push for June,
Lillian David Fine. Jewelers will explain that I was married
in June. They will help you find what she's looking for. Guys,
if you're already married, celebrate the anniversaries, the holidays, the
birthdays and more with a special gift for her. Lilli
and David can help you find it. And if you
have a lot of NFL coverage coming, you've got a
fantasy football draft, you waited till the last minute, you

(15:25):
need some time away. Maybe the gift will help you
get a little bit more you time. Lilian David Fine
Juelers located at the Shops of Wilton. Remember that shops

so making make that a part of your September plans.
Lillian David Fine Youlers.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Lookvak.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
We got the vision previews, we got playoff talk, we
got bold takes, and by the way, later in the show,
our friends Zach and Zach Junior and Harris have some
takes they want to get on the previous stove. So
we still got a lot in the way here.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Doth leave early, guys, I will do anything to leave early.

Speaker 3 (15:58):
On the twenty twenty four NFL season preview editional lovakan Gods.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
It's Lovack and guys on the Voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five, nine and nine eight.

Speaker 2 (16:11):
All Right, hopefully everybody's having a great holiday weekend. You're
hearing us. That means it's rapidly closing, though, so at
least at least we're talking NFL, you know, what I
mean we're getting. We're getting close strong NFL the Levagon
Gods preview. Uh, underway, we talked about the New York teams,
which which you know is the gateway to talking about
the Eastern divisions AFC NFC. So let's break them down, guys.

(16:34):
I think let's start AFC because we are your home
for the New York Jets, the Aaron Rodgers led Jets.
Huh the Jets, tes Jests, Jets, Jets. Does that mean
we get like, what do we get? Nothing? Damn it? Well,
the Raiders don't play the Jets this year? Know they do,
don't they? I think they're playing vague. I don't know.
Off the look, I forget my head. I gotta be

(16:55):
honest with you. I've had a good weekend Scottish games,
some other things. The fact that I'm speaking clearly and
coherently for the most part, you all should be impressed.
The Raiders do not play in the Jets of this season.
All right? All right? Oh they played the NFCS this
year exactly, Yes, all right, So let's let's take a
look at this AFC. I think because we've we talked

(17:16):
about two of the four teams, I think you can
kind of get a feeling from where I'm at. I
think the Bills are gonna win the AFC East. I
still think there's enough meat on the bone for that.
The hard the hard part for me is not who's
going to be best, it's who's going to be worst.
Because as much as I think the Dolphins are light

(17:37):
years ahead of the Patriots, I look at the Patriots.
There's a handful of teams that I look at this
year and I go, you better get them early. You
better get them early, because I think the Patriots defense
is still going to be a force to be reckoned with.
I think their offense, the Jacoby Weresett starting. I don't
know how long that that maintains. But like I think,
you're looking at a Raiders and a Patriots team were

(18:01):
pretty similar. They're gonna play really stout defense. They're gonna
try not make any mistakes on offense, which you're gonna
but they're gonna the goals. We don't make mistakes on
off don't lose on offense, win on defense with special
teams and that as the season goes on and other
team start atting injuries, that works. So I could see

(18:22):
a scenario where the Patriots start slow and then win three, four, five,
six games in a row to get up to like
a seven eight win season.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
It almost depends on the growth will go with of
Drake may because if we play that scenariot, which I
totally agree with you on the Patriots, that if they
get to week eight or a week nine and they
say we've seen enough, it's time to play Drake May.
Our division is too tough. Let's let them sling in
a little bit. Let's let them make mistakes. We'll find
out if because no other teams have Scotter reports on him,

(18:54):
he might have some good games. There's a good history
of rookie quarterbacks coming out recently and just suprising people
with wait wait whoa whoa we weren't ready for Will
Leavis was okay last year when he had this sort
of scenario. RG three was great for Washington. We've seen
rookies who come off Baker Mayfield. There are rookie examples
of mid season replacements of Okay, they can surprise peld

(19:16):
No pushback there for the Patriots. Here's how I'm gonna
compare the AFC East though, and this is a perfect
way to do it in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (19:22):
The AFC East is going to feel like the SCC
and football.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
It's somethings gonna be like, wait, wait, wait, I thought
you guys said the AFC North is the best division.
It might be, But here's the thing about the AFC
East record wise, this math, how these teams finish. There
could be a scenario where the winner of the AFC
East might only have eleven wins, maybe twelve wins. But
those teams that are gonna finish underneath at ten or

(19:48):
eleven depend on how you did your math here for
the upcoming preview, are gonna feel a lot better than
a team maybe from the South or a team from
the West, where you're like, no, no, no, what do you
mean The Dolphins build Jets aren't better than this other team?

Speaker 2 (20:01):
What do you mean they're gonna be seated higher? What
do you mean they have a better record. We're gonna
perceive these teams in the AFC East being better than
other wild card contenders, but because the division is so tough,
a record may not reflect it. Somewhere Bill Parcell's yelling
you are what your record says you are. There's gonna
be a debate I think anymore. I think he's chilled
out a little bit. There's gonna be a debate all

(20:22):
season long. Is the record reflecting? How could the AFC
East is the compliment to that division? I would put
New England in last place though, yes, I mean, but
it's just it almost feels it almost feels too easy,
you know what I mean. There's that moment where you're like, Okay,
New England's last and and they, by all rights they
should be. They have the newest head coach, they have

(20:44):
the rookie quarterback versus the I think Brissette is a
very intriguing Bridge quarterback. He's the new Teddy bridge Water.
But they should be. And they brought back all the
players that they before, Like whatever, it's weird, all right,
So I think Bill's wand at all. I think Jets

(21:06):
are second, Dolphins third, Patriots fourth.

Speaker 3 (21:08):
For the FCS, it is going to be very close,
but I will put Buffalo and three WHOA, Buffalo will
be my third place team. They will finish just one
game back. So we're gonna see Buffalo with close to
ten or eleven wins and it's gonna be a battle
for their final few games. Of the season, so Buffalo
will be in second place, and really their season comes
down into the December twenty ninth game Buffalo Jets Sunday,

(21:32):
December twenty ninth. The winner of that game, I'm taking
the Jets and that will decide it. But then it
will come down to get ready for this to be
one of those like weird Saturday flexed games, or it
could be the final game of the NFL regular season
Dolphins Jets Week eighteen.

Speaker 2 (21:50):
That'd be awesome.

Speaker 3 (21:51):
This is what it is. It played out last season,
Remember the Bills and the Dolphins played in the final
game technically of Week eighteen with a lot of ramifications
on the line. This year it's Jets Dolphins. The Jets
are at home for that game. MetLife is gonna be
out of control. It's gonna almost flip over right. MetLife
was wild Week one in twenty twenty three. It's gonna
look like this twenty twenty four. Week eighteen, Jets win

(22:14):
the AFC East and the final regular season week of
the season, all three teams make the postseason. Jets, Dolphins,
Bills are all going to the AFC playoff picture, so all.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
Three so you've got the the Jets as they get
to the East.

Speaker 3 (22:33):
Jets of twelve wins Buffalo and Miami to eleven, but
Miami will hold the tiebreaker over Buffalo and they will
have the hount like wild card one two.

Speaker 2 (22:41):
Correct, yep, Okay, I mean it's what makes it and
I don't mean to beat demeaning. What makes it a
decent scenario pick for you is you've got to have
some differences in the in the teams that made the
the postseason last year, because they're not all gonna it
never is the same seven like it's or or almost.

(23:02):
I don't think it's ever happened, but it may have.
I don't. I don't have stats to stand I just
don't feel like, no, no, you're right.

Speaker 3 (23:08):
We're gonna stick by that because it's ever been seven
playoff teams, so we'll stick by you know, there used
to be six. So I like our seventh stands better.

Speaker 2 (23:14):
All right? Right? Because last week, okay, the podcast, but
we were right, that's all matter. Yeah, I don't edit
nothing out. Leave it in again. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong,
I'll live with it. Go ahead, somebody, Oh, don't account
all right? I I I see the I see the Bills,
making the Bills and the Jets I have in the postseason,

(23:35):
and maybe that exact same game that you're talking about
between the Jets and the Dolphins will decide who gets
that wild card. Uh. So there there's your there's your
AFC East, and there's you know, later on the show,
we'll put all together in the an actual post as
season delivery. How do we think it's gonna go onto
the NFC East? You are way more uh you're way

(23:55):
darker on the Giants than I am. I don't. I've
cool on them a little bit just because I don't.
I need to see it. I need to see it
work once. If I see it work once, I might
I might start heating up on the Giants. I could
get them to the wild card possibly if they go
out there and Danny Dimes, you know, plays very different

(24:15):
than he did in that one preseason game because it's
not a preseason game. It's it's he's got to do
it right. But who this I think this might be
the hardest one for me to figure out. If we're
being perfectly honest.

Speaker 3 (24:26):
This is the hardest division to figure out, because I
could see a scenario because of the Giants being so
bad this season, it starts playing a factor in my
math of the division. So if I'm going to really
right off the Giants and say they stink and maybe
they win one divisional game, I think that'd be a
fun line to play this season over under one and
a half divisional wins for the Giants. If the Giants

(24:47):
are that bad, how does that impact Philly? How does
an impact Dallas? And how does an impact Washington? So
how I look at this schedule playing out is that
the Giants are gonna sit around five wins this season,
and sadly you and I in December, in January, we
will start doing mock drafts on the air for Giant
fans of what cornerback it's gonna be for New York.
They are in a loaded division and they're just not

(25:07):
anywhere close to the other teams right now. I think
that's a loaded division. Dallas is all in for a
Super Bowl. Yeah, Philly's all in for the moves that
they made and done da da da. My surprise of
the twenty twenty four NFL season, and it feels like
the Cleveland Browns from last year that a lot of
people started talking about him in August, and here we
sit in September. Whenever you're listening, I love the Washington commanders.

(25:30):
Colin Cowhard stole my Peclovac, the guy who airs before us.
I had Washington before he did. Washington schedule is gonna
get them to ten wins. They get a season finale
matchup with Dallas. So I have everybody from the NFC
East getting in. I have Philly winning the division with
twelve wins. I've got Dallas around eleven. I've got Washington

(25:52):
and ten wins getting to the NFC playoffs, so I
have again. I love how we group these together, two divisions,
six total playoff teams out of eight. Give me Philly, Dallas,
Washington all going to the postseason, with Washington being my
surprise of the season.

Speaker 2 (26:08):
I think Washington and the Giants are gonna have extremely
similar seasons, but because of the outlook that we had
going in, Washington is gonna be perceived as a success
and the Giants might be perceived as failures, even though
I think they're gonna be I think they'd be very similar.
They're gonna be fighting for third and fourth. I think
Dallas wins this division. I think Philly takes a massive

(26:30):
step back, but finds their way to the wild card.
I just I think your head coach has lost the team. Well,
he's at least lost the quarterback. And if you if
you're a team and the civil war on that team
is the quarterback and the coach, that's a tough way
to win because how you any any decision you make
is potentially the one that ends your career because you

(26:52):
could look terrible this whole season. So I think they're
extremely talented team. I just I'm not buying the coach.
I think Jason Kelsey is a massive loss. I think
like everybody's like, oh, they put another guy in, that's fine.
That's the kind of guy that he. He makes everyone
else on that offensive line better, he makes your quarterback better,
he makes everybody better around him, and he's not gonna

(27:14):
be there. I could see a scenario where he comes
out of retirement at some point because they're just not
clicking early. He's got to put some weight back on.

Speaker 3 (27:19):
Ye he looks like one of those guys who would
take the weight off, And all of a sudden, you
see Kelsey through his podcast slowly getting cultivating mass.

Speaker 2 (27:26):
Let's say there's a there's a great bit. Will Sasso
did it for a mad TV. They always say, like
funny guys, once they lose the weight, they're not funny.
And he's like saying all these funny jokes. He was
skinny at that point, and no one's laughing. So he's
just shoving doughnuts in his face and whatever, and he's
and now all of a sudden people are laughing at him,
falls through the stage and he's like that make funny.
Like it's just like that is gonna be. It's just

(27:46):
to be on the field. That's gonna be. Jason Kelsey,
all right. So so there there you have it. The
ANFC East, the NFC East. I've got Bill's Cowboys as
the overall winners. You you've got Jets, Eagles as the
overall winners. Are those those wild cards will come in
to play a little bit later in the conversation, but

(28:08):
very different, very different viewpoints on it, which means there's
probably a third view that'll be right and we'll both
be wrong.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
Now I feel good about this. I think this is
our best division segment. I think me saying that already
confirm your point. The confidence is frightening.

Speaker 2 (28:24):
I I don't. I don't like. I don't like this division.
I can see there's too many variables. There's like, it's
just there's just too many variables. That's that's I'm saying
like that. No, there's that's it. That's what I meant
to say. There's too many variables. If Daniel Jones doesn't
turn the ball over, the Giants are a good football team.
If the Eagles find that like Kumbaya moment where they

(28:45):
all can be on the same page, they're they're the
best team. If the Cowboys have a run game, they're
the best team. Like it's you know, if the Commanders
are what you guys think that are. If Jade and
Daniels goes out there and balls out and dan Quinn's
defense is already in place, there the best team. So
it's like there's too many I can make an argument
on why each one of these teams is gonna be

(29:05):
picking top five in the draft. And I can make
an argument why each one of these teams could be,
you know, a winner in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
It's the blood pressure division where it's like I felt
like it.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Well, what are you doing? No? No, I thought we
were good.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
I thought all of a sudden if you're a fan
of those teams Levac just talked about, it is gonna
be a season up and down throughout the entire time.
We see a segment called money Mirages, it's gonna feel
a lot realer mirage with those teams coming out of
that division, maybe teams you won't feel confident in wagering on. However, Levac,
let's not forget starting this Sunday, So the first Sunday
of the NFL football season, you and I are back

(29:41):
at Rivers Casino and Resort every single Sunday except Week
two and Week three. Besides those two weeks, we're gonna
be there for week one, then taking a quick little
me week three and week four, we're gonna be off
week one and two eleven to one every Sunday at
Rivers Casino Resort and Levac this C four Ultimate Energy
Challenge right back you, my friend, what I want to say,

(30:02):
wire to wire, but it was maybe it.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Was for eighteen weeks. That's incredible. We are back. I
had I had a solid strategy for the C four
Bankroll Challenge. That's the ultimate bankroll Challenge. I think because
of me, uh and I just I was on a heater.
I was on an absolute heater last year. I did
I think? Did I have? I only had two losing weeks.

(30:24):
That's a phenomenal. That's insane to think about that, two
losing weeks. The only problem is, like you get wrapped
up in the other stuff you got. Can't get lost
on minutia. You know, you gotta focus. Get that C four,
get that energy boost. You're looking for that explosive energy
you can you can feel three hundred milligrams of caffeine
in the ultimates. The regulars have two hundred, which is good.

(30:46):
Three hundred better. Let's go. I'm looking at I've got
the WWE Barry power Bomb in my hand right now,
three times the try stem experience. Don't know what that means,
but I'm but it sounds amazing. So and I do this.
I think this is my new favorite. It's a bold flavor,
super charged energy. Get yourself one over at Stewart's Speedway

(31:09):
and then you know, play along with us all season long.
It's gonna be the four of us going toe to
toe and at some point I'm gonna be able to
make Cantera extremely mad that they're the giant station where
the Jets station and our team is winning more. I'm
gonna do that. Even though he's only a fan of
the team's on his air, he's not like he's really
a Pats fan. Petsman. Yeah, but that'll be fun. You

(31:29):
can get you know, no one can get under Cantera's
skin like I can. I'm good at him. I don't
want to get under skin. It's fun. He's easily irritated
and then he forgives you fast too. He's a good guy.
Four smart Edgy no smart Energury was great. Ultimate Energy
is well. I mean it's the ultimate, the ultimate Warrior.
All right, So four Ultimate Energy backrel challenges underway, thanks

(31:51):
for our friend at sea. Four again Speedway. Stewart's all right,
so we just did the East. What do you want
to do? I want to I almost want to build
to the north. I feel like the North is both
is going to be is like the most fun. Well,
let's do a little audible here. Then let's do the
Let's do the souths.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
You want to combine the south together, Let's do the
AFC and NFC South.

Speaker 2 (32:12):
Coming up here, got it, Let's do that. I like it.
AFC NFC South coming up next. It's Levc and Goz.
It is our football pick. I'm special. Happy Labor Day, everybody.
On Fox Sports Radio ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
It's Lavac and Goz on ninety five nine Fox Sports
Radio NFL.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
Preview show Lavack and Guyz Style right here on Fox
Sports Radio. And so like we just did the East
for the AFC and the NFC, we both like someone
to win it, and it's and then you know, we
can kind of make an argument why each team could
be good. The fun part about the South is yet

(32:49):
again I look at both South divisions for the AFC
and the NFC, and I say, well, someone has to
win it, right there is It's not like they can
be invaded by another team from the NOR or the
West or the like, like like Pittsburgh can't just drive
down and take over the South, can they? Like I
think it's it's such an intriguing division for that reason.

(33:14):
It's just like I look at both, let's start with
let's start with let's flip it. Let's go NFC first
here because your team is in the FC, I do
want to do the NFC first.

Speaker 3 (33:22):
I just want to add to that point there because
I think there's a lot of people who are potentially
fans of teams in the South and feel like that
is the national narrative around both of these divisions. I
would first quickly, let me defend my NFC South over
the last twenty years, and I might be extending to
too far, maybe the last fifteen years from the NFC South,
they've had one representative from that division of the Super Bowl.

(33:44):
I'm pretty sure only the West can have that same
bragging right of a representative from the entire division going
to the Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
And I don't know why that stats mean mean all
four teams of the last twenty years have.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
Played in the Super Bowl. Oh okay, I know that
is not the case for the AFC West, that's right.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
I don't think it's not the case for the South,
the North, the East, and the AFC not the case
for the Washington Commanders.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Half the South has never even been in it, that's right.
The North, so actually, yeah, the Titans weren't it. Sorry,
so half the South? Yeah. So I like that stat.
I don't know if it means anything for twenty Let
me let me counter that stat for the last like
twenty years, has anybody ever want it back to back
the Division. Yeah, yes, the NFC South, the Bucks have
gone the last three years. Okay, but isn't it usually
like worse the first.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
Yeah, there was a stretch. You're exactly right, pre Brady
COVID was a weird year. Pre Brady was like wild.
It was like every year. I think when the South
Division launched, that was the theme of the NFC South
into the AFC South. It was, Hey, we know the
Jags or the Titans or the Texans are gonna get
like ten or eleven wins, but they're gonna be blown
out in the postseason.

Speaker 2 (34:49):
Then they'd have these huge leads and blow it. Like
we mentioned the week.

Speaker 3 (34:52):
Before that there was a time in history where the
Houston Texans had a double digit lead on the Kansas
City Chiefs in a divisional game. Thinking back, not the
double digit lead, the Texans were up twenty one nothing
in the first quarter against the Chiefs in the postseason.
So yeah, just a small defense of the South. They're
good and we don't realize they're good, and when they're bad,

(35:12):
they are very bad.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
Why don't you go first, NFC South, Tell me why
you think your Buccaneers are gonna win it? And one
I'm gonna start from the bottom first. Carolina stinks. Yeah
you hear me, pant fin Oh maybe we can do
this stink may maybe we can do this together for
the fight. I'm with you, like Carolinas is one of

(35:34):
the chances Carolina doesn't have the number one overall pick
this year.

Speaker 3 (35:37):
If I had to put money, I'm not even taking
about the odds, like I'm sure a team with a
better odd or value and how we're not Our horse
racing coverage.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Is done, but I probably wouldn't put it on them.

Speaker 3 (35:47):
But if I went through a schedule right now and said,
what team do you think would finish with the most losses,
it would be the Carolina Panthers. They didn't get better.
How did this team who stinks get better? Bryce Young
again did not get taller. Dave Canallis has I've never
coached the team before. Brian Burns got traded. Christian McCaffrey's
not on the rock.

Speaker 2 (36:05):
They stink, And it's more so about the ownership group
and David Tepper and constantly firing people.

Speaker 3 (36:11):
He's like the worst version of George Steinberns are too
big of a comparison. But I think we know what
I mean. By that the Panthers aren't winning and they're
firing people. It's more about the ownership group than anything else.
He's a less likable George Steinerunner, yes, And I don't
even know if George Steinbrunners just likable, but I guess
was always there was always something you wanted to like him, though,
like as a Yankee fan, like like, I don't think

(36:31):
I don't think any Panthers fans are like, oh, Tapper's good, dude. No,
I think like as Yankee fans, like the old school
Yankee fans didn't like George because you spent too much money,
But like anybody around my age, it's like, hey, look
he didn't need to be toned down a bit, but
dude was a maverick and wanted to win. I think
about that statement post Jerry richardson Jerry Richards was like, wait, wait.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
Donald's been chased out. Donald Sterling's getting canceled, all right,
pack it up, by the way, is rotten, Let's go
come on, this is the numbers, all right, So save
some time. We both had the Panthers and fourth terrible.
They're not very good last year. I like offering some
perspective because how we evaluate teams could come back. We
loved the Saints last year. We both thought not just

(37:14):
loved the Saints. We both didn't discuss it had the
Saints as the best team in the NFC, because of
how the schedule laid out, because of what the South
was projected to be, Derek Carr revenge Tour, every and
how they built in the draft.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
Everything looked to be. This was the Saints year. They stunk.
It's more about coaching for the Saints. You and I evaluated.

Speaker 2 (37:35):
You know, it's weird. I was because I was thinking
about this because Dennis Allen feels very ble. They were
nine and eight. Wow, that they were second in the South.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
If you told me to guess their record, I would
have told you seven and ten. They did not feel
like an above five hundred team last season.

Speaker 2 (37:50):
Ever he was. He was four and twelve, four and twelve,
zero to four as the Raiders head coach, then now
as Noorlans stepping into twenty two, seven and ten, nine
and eight.

Speaker 3 (38:02):
I'm surprised by that, even though New Orleans felt like
to me that there were some bad coaching decisions. Do
they understand their offense? Is Chris Olave underused? Is Kamara underused?

Speaker 2 (38:11):
Car statistically really did have a good year last year,
So if you're a fantasy football player, he was. But
like his stats are right around Mahomes's stats, and that's
gonna blow people away. Go look at Car versus Mahomes
last year. They're actually not that far off. But do
I trust the coaching staff? Do I trust the defense?
I got nothing on the Saints. I loved them last year.

(38:31):
I have them at third and I think Allen cost
them a lot of games. I would even fire off
this interesting wager if you told me the coach coach
most likely to get fired first, I would bet on
Dennis Allen coach most likely to get fired first of
the season. So that leaves it down to the Falcons
and the Bucks. Well, I don't hate that. Yeah, are
you agreeing with me on the Saints there or do

(38:52):
you have a little flip there? I'm not sure yet,
I'm I'm I don't. I don't think so, Okay, I
don't think. So I'll move on to the top two
anounce to the Falcons and the Bucks. Who wins this division?
Tampa Bay or Atlanta? If you've been wagering on this division.
The Bucks are plus money. The Falcons are a heavy favorite,
Like do win a division? I've seen that number flow

(39:13):
between minus one thirty and minus one fifty, depend on
what book you're looking at. Atlanta has added all the
pieces if they're a great fantasy football team. But can
you swallow weekly wagers on the Atlanta Falcon franchise? Can
you do it to yourself? Can you look at the
Atlanta Falcons be like they got this? They got this.

Speaker 3 (39:31):
They got an adult as a quarterback if Pennock's plays,
they got an injured Kirk Cousins. They have a GM
who thinks he's a twelve year old Plane Matten. They're
head coach or Hee Moore's it's a nice coordinator, super
Bowl champion winning coordinator for Sean McVay. I think they
probably think of the pressure on him. They said, Okay,
we can either have Bill Belichick or Raheem Morris sign

(39:54):
them up. Let's take Raheem Morris. I don't know if
Atlanta knows what they're doing, and it's a lot of
what ifs for Atlanta. Tampa's won the division three seasons
in a row. Baker Mayfield's coming off a really good year.
Mike Evans is going for the Hall of Fame. Seod
White was statistically fantastic. I'm taking my Bucks over the
Falcons to win the division, as he knew five minutes

(40:15):
ago what I was gonna do. Buck Bias. Look, I
didn't have him the postseason last year. They overachieved. I
love Tampa to squeak it out over Atlanta. That division
may be decided before Halloween, though. As the Falcons and
Bucks played each other on the twenty seventh of October,
I was.

Speaker 2 (40:33):
So it's weird. I started looking up stuff on Dennis
Allen because he feels like when you play a video
game and they can't get the rights to that coach
and it's like head coach, I know, you know for
New Orleans. Yeah, Like that's what Dennis Allen feels like.
Like I've always liked Dennis Allen. He's defensive coordinator for
the Raiders. He gets a chance to be the head coach,
but he's the head coach in a very tumultuous time

(40:55):
for the Raiders, so it wasn't like he really had
a chance to succeed. He comes learns under Payton, takes
over the Saints again. It feels very tumultuous. The defense
is getting older. All these things are going on. After
seeing he went nine to eight last year, I think
he's got some time. So here's here's here's my bigger question.

(41:16):
Why is Hunter renfro Out signed by anybody? This is
the Raiders receiver that three years ago I had over
one hundred receptions, yeah, one hundred yeah, and in an
offense nobody wanted him and he got twenty five catches.
He was he still was making third down tough catches
like I don't know if it's health or something or whatever,
it's if imagine if how renfro signs with the Saints
and now Derek Carr has a safety blanket. For that reason,

(41:38):
I am struggling between who I think is going to
come in second in the NFC South. It is between
your Buccaneers and the Saints. For me, I think they
battle it out because, as you said, you're afraid to
worry like battle the Falcons each week. I'm not. I
think the Falcons make it work this year. I think this.
I think Pennix Junior is going to push Kirk Cousins,
and I think Kirk Cousins has just enough fu in him.

(42:02):
If you know what I'm saying, you like that that
he's gonna play even better because he knows the youngsters
coming for him, well not youngster, he's almost his age whatever.
So I think the Falcons win the NFC South. That's
and I and I and I think the two quarterback
experience works somehow because I think Pennicks will be able
to play until Kirk's one hundred percent, and then Kirk

(42:24):
is one hundred percent with the weapons they've got, he's
gonna deal and and you know Bjon Robinson is gonna
get He might be the best receiving back in the
game with with Cousins and penics thrown on the ball.
So I think I think that's where I'm gonna take
the Falcons to win the South, the NFC South. I'm
gonna take the Panthers to lose everything, and then I

(42:47):
I h right now, I'll take the Buccaneers to come
in second. But if if the Saints sign Hunter Renfro,
I think the offense becomes a million times better because
now all of a sudden, you can have Kamara come
out of the backfield that once third and Renfer on
the other side, your underneath stuff is you can't, you can't,
you can't go deep with everybody, And now I got
a love and everything else going on. Derek Carr could

(43:09):
be a pro bowler if you give him his safety blanket,
and I think that that could flip the two the
two spot.

Speaker 3 (43:16):
I prefer they don't do that for my buccaneer's sake,
because that sounds like a fantastic idea.

Speaker 2 (43:20):
Well, it's just I don't understand why a guy like
like I understand he looks worse because Josh mcdalie's didn't
like him. He didn't fit what Josh mcdalel's wanted to do.
But like Josh mcdale's isn't a good head coach, and
Josh mcdaliels comes out of a system that you would
think would be all over an extremely sure handed third

(43:41):
down receiver, short white dude who finds an open spot
and the quarterback loves. But for whatever reason, that just
didn't work with it to Hi, maybe because Garoppolo sucked.
But I I can't believe Hunter Renfro doesn't have a
job right now. I mean, like even even unless he's
asking for entire entirely too much money. I just I

(44:01):
think he's a guy that at twenty eight years old,
who's proven he gets open, catches the ball, and he
knows where he is on the field at all times.
He's quarterback best friend. So I think again, if he
ended up on the Saints, that would be that would
kind of change the balance of power for me. A short,

(44:24):
slow white dude at wide receiver could change the balance
of power for me in the NFC South. I've gotta
turn my mic on there. I love that the NFC
South got this much love. I'm very happy. We still
have to do the AFC South of back. Yeah, we do.
Let's do it. We got some time here. We can
mix it up to the podcast the world. This is
the life. You know what I'm gonna do. Listen see
last year.

Speaker 3 (44:44):
Well, okay, before you do that, I think you just
spoiled something because oh no, oh no, babe, you would
I really think it?

Speaker 2 (44:50):
Said way, okay, let me start with Tennessee. Let me
start with Tennessee. Here the Titans.

Speaker 3 (44:54):
Uh, this is gonna feel like the old Charger teams
with Philip Rivers. And I love this if you're a
red zone watcher like I am. When the Chargers would
be trailing, and then Philip Rivers is in the fourth
quarter and Scott Hansen.

Speaker 2 (45:05):
H San Diego, Los Angeles is down.

Speaker 3 (45:08):
Here come the Charge and they're just doing wacky things
in that four o'clock window. And do you think the
Chargers are gonna win? And then they blow it? That's
the twenty twenty four Titans. Okay, Will Levis is gonna
be out there throwing the ball fifty times a game.
I would probably take a flyer on him on some
fantasy drafts, just if you need a bye week quarterback
or they get a decent matchup once in a while.
You loved Calvin Ridley last season. He is poised to

(45:31):
maybe even be in a better spot this year fantasy wise,
and he's got a bigger contract now. With all that
nice things they said about Tennessee, they will finish in
last place. They don't have a running back. They're gonna
be like the Chargers. They're gonna blow games. They fired
by Rabel and they probably shouldn't have. Tennessee finishes in fourth.

Speaker 2 (45:47):
For me, I don't I don't hate I don't hate
that at all, except for the fact that I don't
know how sold Iam on the Colts oh, and you
know what that leads to me for the Colts. Here's
you and I agree on the Colts.

Speaker 3 (45:59):
Say, I don't know how I feel about the Colts
for the second consecutive NFL season preview show. I may
have said this for all four we've done over the
last two years.

Speaker 2 (46:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (46:09):
Like Indianapolis again is the hardest team to figure out
because a lot of it comes down to Anthony Richardson.

Speaker 2 (46:14):
Is he actually good? Will he stay healthy? Will he
stay healthy? Is my question. I think he's I think
he's a talent. I think his passing game needs to
be improved. But we've seen Lamar Jackson improve his passing.
It can be done. Josh Allen improved his passing game. Again,
it can be done.

Speaker 3 (46:28):
Jonathan Taylor was a top fifteen running back, then the
best note out running back. Then he held out, then
he missed games. What's the impact?

Speaker 2 (46:36):
We didn't know? Do they have anybody good on defense?

Speaker 3 (46:39):
We have no Indianapolis for the second consecutive, fourth consecutive
cult fan ah, I'll put shit third because you could
go anywhere between eleven wins and five wins. The hardest
team in the NFL to figure out again. Is the
Indianapolis Colts. I'll put them at third. I'm gonna put
them at fourth. I'm gonna put the Titans at three.
And then here's where gets very intriguing for me.

Speaker 2 (47:02):
CG. Stroud. I remember I said this about Patrick Mahomes
and everybody thought I was crazy. He will have a
regression in his second year as a starter. I made
it clear that that second that regression still would make
him a top five quarterback because he was so far
and above everybody else. CJ. Stroud's gonna step back a
bit this year, right, I mean at least a little bit.

(47:24):
So I like the Texans a lot. I like what
they're doing. I'm gonna come down to coaching on this one.
And there's only there's only one coach in that division
right now. That is that's with Ryan and I would
I'm gonna put him ahead him, and that's Doug Peterson.
I picked them last year to do a lot of
great things. I don't know if I can pick them
to do as many great things this year. But I
will pick the Jacksonville Jagualls to win the AFC South.

Speaker 3 (47:51):
I totally agree with you and the CJ. Stroud step back.
Maybe is not so much about talent, Maybe not so
much about x's and o's or I understand the art.

Speaker 2 (48:00):
You know, he's the greatest Ohio state quarterback to ever
play in the NFL. What a statement, and I don't
have a second. It's true. It really felt like Kurt
Ankle there. Oh, it's true. True.

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Here's the thing about Texans versus Jaguars. The Texans are
actually going to be a better team than the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But look at this Texans schedule. I'm gonna jump around
here a little bit.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
Okay, letstene. These are the teams that the Texans face
this season, and the Jacksville face almost the exact same right,
with a very very minor changes.

Speaker 3 (48:30):
A little different because Texans get that first place bid
because Jacksonville went eight and three, so they get a
little tougher of a schedule, but it's it's pretty brutal. Chicago.
Depends on how you feel about them. In week two,
you split, We're not gonna do the AFC South teams.
You know they're gonna play them, but Chicago, Buffalo, Green Bay,
the Jets, the Lions, the Cowboys, the Dolphins, the Chiefs,

(48:52):
the Ravens. I've just ripped off potentially seven playoff teams
that they have to play this season. So I don't
know how the Texans are going to get the ten wins.
I don't know they're gonna get to nine wins. That
schedule is absolutely brutal.

Speaker 2 (49:07):
How about the Jags at Miami, Home for the Browns
at Buffalo at Houston, Home for the Colts, home for
the Bears, Home for the Pats. That's a good thing.
Home for the Patrios, the Packers, I mean, I mean
at the Eagles. Neither of these schedules are They're both like,
you're that's a hair harder because you had the number

(49:28):
one seed. Yeah, you have Baltimore. That sucks. I think
Baltimore is going to be an absolute flamethrower in.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
Week seventeen, by the way, when the North could be
on the line. Oh yeah, which which.

Speaker 2 (49:38):
At that point Week seventeen, Jacksonville at the Colts. So
here's the thing. If the home stretches, what what gives
Jacks the lead of this one? At the Titans Home
for the Jets, at the Raiders, Home for the Titans
at the Colts.

Speaker 3 (49:57):
Here's what the size of the division because you and
I are both taking the Jags. We're both sitting on
the schedule, and this is what Auston Texans fans. That
stretch we just talked about there, that Miami, Kansas City,
Baltimore stretch. Those games are three games and ten days.
You have to play the Dolphins, Chiefs and Ravens in
ten days December fifteenth, and you play the Ravens on

(50:19):
that game. By the way, that's a Christmas Day game.
So that's what the Texans get burned out.

Speaker 2 (50:23):
At the end.

Speaker 3 (50:23):
The NFL screws Houston, Jacksonville gets in and only one
team represents the South. I think I should have said
that the Buccaneers and Jaguarts. For me, only one team
comes out of each division for me for the postseason.

Speaker 2 (50:36):
Same for the AFC. Yeah, I agree with you. I
agree with you on that. I've got the Falcons and
I have the Jags making their way out into the
as just as division winners. That's it. So we kind
of we have a very similar stance, just slightly different
ways that we get where we're going. We both love
Mohawk kan To though. That is I mean, that's what
goes up saying we love Mohawkan and we're going to

(50:58):
be there in eight days. And when you're listening to
this podcast, that is Who's or radio showed. No matter what, Tuesday,
September tenth, we're going to be broadcasting live for Mohawkana.
Get yourself a new ride this fall. Whatever it might be.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
Maybe you're having that big tailgate. You've bought tickets to
your favorite game. You're gonna be the tailgate spot. Maybe
you're taking the road trip. You want to make sure
when you show up to those fun games, you're not
being made fun of in the car. You don't want
to be that guy. Oh gosh, who's cars? That Mohawkana
will get you a ride that you're proud of to
show up to the big games with this fall. CRV
Odyssey pilots so many great rides and it's people that

(51:32):
you can trust. During the Carbine experience, how often you
heard the horse story. I want to buy a new car,
I don't want to go on a lot, I don't
want to shop for this. Can I just keep this
for another two years? If you're having that conversation, stop,
talk to your family and friends and talk to people
who've worked with mohawk Kana before because they will not
be those type of people you used to. It's people
you can trust when you're making that big decision right
there in Glennville. I love my rod. I'm driving the CRV.

(51:55):
My wife loves the honesty. You continue to go back
to mohaw Kana because they always go out of their
way to please you.

Speaker 2 (52:00):
Lovac.

Speaker 3 (52:00):
Hour number two on the way next, one of my
favorite things to do in the NFL preview. We're not
gonna call them four hot takes, as much as I'd
like to do that. The four bold takes. Your big
bold predictions.

Speaker 2 (52:13):
See a lot of mine.

Speaker 3 (52:14):
Last year you beat me to it. You nailed a
O'Connell starting for the Raiders. We had some big calls
last year. I will fully admit one of mine has
been altered since July because they.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
Took a lot of heat or I think it changed, like, oh,
here we go.

Speaker 3 (52:29):
The four bold takes for each of us for the
NFL's twenty twenty four season rolls on.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
Next, it's time for the Top four four with Levac
and guz.

Speaker 2 (52:42):
Sad for the Top four at four Little Leads to
You guys listening to on the podcast and it could
be anytime it's rocked by. They always go out of
their way to please you. U these So we're gonna
do four dark horse predictions for the upcoming NFL season
instead of the top four because it's the holiday, it's
our NFL preview. Is that correct, sir? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (53:02):
You call them dark horses. Someone say bold takes. I
guess Tommy hot take.

Speaker 2 (53:07):
Yeah, I gotta say four hot takes here. But we
did well on this last year, you more so than me.

Speaker 3 (53:12):
So these are the things that when we think back
in February twenty twenty five, Wow, those guys nailed that
all the way back in August and September. Do you
want to do you have any particular order you want
to do this in? Do you want to build up
the boldness? Do you want to build up?

Speaker 2 (53:26):
I'm gonna build up. Okay, I believe I'm kind of
all over. However you wanna do, I'm gonna try and
build up. But I just how I wrote him, is
how I wrote him. Okay, would you like to go first? Sure,
I'll go first. Number four for me is Philly takes
a step back. I think the Philadelphia Eagles have a
rough year ahead. Of them because of the Civil War.

(53:47):
I do I do believe that the most important thing
about being a team is being a team. You don't
all have to get along, but you have to respect
each other. And I don't feel his other head coach
and quarterback like or respect each other.

Speaker 3 (53:58):
And they've said it publicly. Bas that is drama right
there in Philadelphia. They will be the loudest fan base
they have heads. Here's the problem I always struggle with
that Philadelphia take though, is that I just want to
know what Just tell me this season what it hurts
and Syrianic say to each other. Is aj Brown off
in the locker room? Is somebody in sports talk radio

(54:20):
affecting the locker Just give me more details, that's all
I want.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Tell me what it is, that's all. And just tell
me what's going on in Philadelphia. Yeah. Well, actually, if
we don't hear everything, they're fine. If we don't hear anything,
they're fine. It's in me a stress test. I think
if everything's going well, it's gonna be fine. But once
that boat starts rocking, it's gonna sink my fourth. Yeah,
I'm gonna stay with this one. Number four, number four.

Speaker 3 (54:44):
Josh Allen wins the MVP. I'm not backing off this
when Josh Allen has had these moments where potentially he
might be the guy better than Mahomes, better than Jackson,
but we've still not seen the moment where Josh Allen
has been voted the most Valuable Player in the NFL.
We know that the MVP award plays an efect or
how much your team is winning. But when you look
at this Buffalo Bill roster and you look at other
people who have won the award, it's the perfect formula

(55:07):
for Josh Allen. Voters have fatigue, they want a different name,
they want a different storyline. It lines up perfect and
especially when it counts the most for Buffalo. If Buffalo
plays the same scenario they played last season where they
have to fight in late November into December for a
playoff spot, Josh Allen's gonna be the most biggest reason

(55:27):
as to why they get into the postseason. He finally
gets it done, the Bills get to the postseason, and
Allen wins his first career Most Valuable Player Award.

Speaker 2 (55:37):
I like that. I do like that. Whenever we pick
the MVP, I'm always like, do we pick one from
each conference or do we just pick one like whatever. Like.
He definitely is in the way of some of my
predictions with that, But you know how much I like
the Bills this year, So good, good call there. My
number three. The Kansas City Chiefs will not be in

(56:02):
the Super Bowl this year. Oh, they will not break
the chains. They will not win the third straight. This
is not gonna happen. It's no offense to them. They're still,
in my opinion, the best head coach quarterback duo in
the NFL. They have the one of the best tight
ends in the NFL. They have a much improved defense.

(56:24):
If it just came down to pure talent and ability,
they probably win it all. Yet again, however, the football
gods will not allow it. Kansas City will be on
a yacht chillin' banana boat style in February.

Speaker 3 (56:39):
This is year five of our NFL season previews show.
We've been doing this for five years. We started in
the year twenty twenty on two, three, four.

Speaker 2 (56:46):
Got it? Yeah? Nice? Five.

Speaker 3 (56:49):
If the Chiefs make it this year, that means they've
made it four to the five years we've done this
preview already, the right three of the four times they
have done this only one of us has got it
right the year they actually got to the postseason. Take
that stat for what it is, if we didn't known,
if we will say the one more time here for
the reset of the hour, we've gotten a super Bowl
participant right every year we've done this four consecutive years.

(57:11):
Lavac has already made claim, this will not be the
Chiefs year.

Speaker 2 (57:14):
You'll find out the only one who is actually picked
the winner. That's true. You'll find out later whether or
not I agree with Levac's take. I'll tease.

Speaker 3 (57:22):
I'll tease that for a little bit later in the show.
Let's move on a story. Yes, take number three, Yeah,
you're take number three.

Speaker 2 (57:28):
Third takes. Yeah, I'm backing off.

Speaker 3 (57:30):
I feel like a coward with this take, say Kwon Barkley,
we'll have two thousand total of our purpose our purpose yards.
Twitter got to me, I've been pressured in by social media.
Boston Dan, you Giant fan, Eagle fan. I so badly
wanted to do two thousand rushing yards. However, now realizing

(57:50):
Jalen Hurts can run the football, which I should have
already realized, realizing aj Brown and Dotson and Smith, and
it just isn't gonna happen anymore. Like two thousand dollar
purpose yards makes far more sense. Bark me out of
the backfield.

Speaker 2 (58:05):
Still really good?

Speaker 3 (58:06):
This is this offense to do it in Saquan incredibly talented.
Give me two thousand total yarns and I'll even push
it a little further. For fantasy players, he will finish
second in fantasy football total scoring this season, only behind
Christian McCaffrey.

Speaker 2 (58:21):
So, fantasy football players, you took away and you added.
Now see, let me I just I want You're welcome
because I allowed that to happen. Because if I had gone,
if I had said what I initially thought when I
heard you say that instead of just clarifying, you would
have doubled down and you never would have backed off,

(58:43):
Because initially I was like, what are you out of
your mind? But that I was like, wait a minute,
you mean all purpose or rushing? Like what are you
from scrimmage? What are we talking about here? And you're like, oh, rushing,
And I'm like, okay, you know it's a bold strategy.
I didn't go at. If I attacked, you never would
have backed down, and you had been wrong this year.
So you're welcome.

Speaker 3 (59:02):
One twenty rushing yards a game. That's the math I
did in my head. I'm like, he can do that,
and then I realized he couldn't. The Eagles don't want
to games average that's still pretty high on average.

Speaker 2 (59:14):
That would be the math. Yeah, it is possible rushing.
He'd have to have a couple three hundred rushing yard
games to make that happen.

Speaker 3 (59:21):
I think I believe that's never happened in this year NFL.
But maybe with that stat if you had like sixty
yard get you know what, it's in the past. Now
I'm a changed fan.

Speaker 2 (59:29):
You're welcome. I mean, yeah, you're welcome, all right. This one.
I like this one. I came up with this one
on the drive in and I moved it all the
way out to number two too. We both are Bills fans.
I'm just a little more in on the Bills this
year than you are, so I've actually tried to like
investigate that a little bit, especially since you like right
away this year you're like you you nailed that Georgia

(59:51):
Tech pic to start the year, which makes me respect
your football knowledge at least a little bit. Why do
I like the Bills so much? It's not just Josh Allen,
it's Joe Brady. It's the offensive coordinator. Was he thirty
he's a baby. The Bills offense will succeed at a
level this year that Joe Brady is a head coach.
Next year he will get a head coaching job this

(01:00:12):
offseason because of the Bills he is yet he'll be
like one of the youngest head coaches of all time.
Joe Brady and the Bills offense performed so well Brady
becomes a head coach of the offseason.

Speaker 3 (01:00:22):
When he came off that LSU season when he was
the young hot shot coordinator. If someone told you by
the year twenty twenty five, Joe Brady would be a
head coach, there would be there was an audience at
that Jets we're talking to him then. Yes, that five
years ago. People are like, this is the next Sean McVay.
He's the guy. But Carolina rain him out of town and.

Speaker 2 (01:00:41):
He almost didn't get back in the league.

Speaker 3 (01:00:43):
He went from the guru can't miss if you're a
Ted Lasso fan, the wonder Keen to almost out of
the league.

Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
He's thirty four. Now, by the way, that.

Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
Would I think Sean mcgagy was right around that Aame's
thirty three thirty four when the Rams hired him. I'm
rooting for Joe Brady because he didn't forget football. He
knows how to run an offense, and Bill's fans all
the impact. I want that to happen. I think he'd
be curious to see how he'd handle a locker room.
But there is no doubt this guy can call an offense.
So rooting for that. In twenty twenty five talk about changes.
That leads to my second take here. I thought Matthew

(01:01:13):
Stafford was going to retire last season. I thought the
Rams would struggle a bit. Stafford looked pretty good. He's
back again. He's probably pushing for the Hall of Fame now,
but this time I'm going to go with another quarterback,
having twenty twenty four as his final season. That's Russell Wilson.
Russell Wilson calls at a career after the twenty twenty
four season, how do we get there? Well, it could
be because he's not good and Justin Fields takes this

(01:01:35):
job and he found out that Seattle had a really
good multiple all time great defense in a borderline Hall
of Fame running back in Marshaun Lynch and maybe the
most underrated football coach ever.

Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
In Pete Carroll. Yeah, he paid his players at USC.

Speaker 3 (01:01:50):
Not a lot of people can say they won in
the NFL and the coaching ranks, and Pete Carroll is
one of those players. Russell Wilson looks at his legacy.
He wants to do some awkward maybe media stuff with
his wife. There's nothing left in the tank for Russell Wilson.
He saves himself and goes and does something else with
his life after the one year deal. This is the
final season of the career of Russell Wilson.

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
I'm gonna help you out with something. So one of
the things my dad you used to say, Dad knowledge
denihilate just a river in Egypt. I think. I think
that if someone gives him a chance to throw the football,
Russell Wilson, he's playing because he doesn't think he's done.
He doesn't think he's the problem. He doesn't think people

(01:02:32):
let him cook. So I think if even if this
goes wrong in Pittsburgh, if there's a team out there
that believes in him, or even like you get like
a Joe Flacco situation where it's late in the season
or in the middle of the season or whatever, and
you lost much quarterbacks. He said, Hey, Russ, how kind
of shave you in? I'm ready? He rolls off the couch,

(01:02:55):
he plays. I don't think he quits because I don't
think he thinks he's done. I don't think he thinks
he's the problem. That's the only reason I'd agree with you.
That's Taylor Swift. I'm the promise me. Yeah, yeah, you
don't want to use that one denialate just a river
in Egypt. All right? Onto my number one bold take,

(01:03:15):
hot pick, dark horse pick. And I like this one
for a couple of reasons. Yeah, there's a little home
cooking involved. But I think there's a team that is
being horribly overlooked in the NFC, and I think one
of the reasons that they're going to be very successful
is they are going to have the defensive Rookie of
the Year playing defensive end for them, and that's Jared

(01:03:37):
Verse with the Rams. Jared Verse wins the Defensive Rookie
of the Year award, you Albany's own Florida State Seminole,
Jared Verse Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 3 (01:03:46):
The fun part about these hot takes or bold takes,
is that we really can have a rooted interest for
both of us. You know, we're not really like it's
not my pick versus year pick, because it's not fifty
to fifty unrooted for a lot of years. I want
Heard Verse to do Jared versus set up in a
great spot for that defensive line, a great coaching staff.
I'm gonna find myself rooting for the Rams and coach

(01:04:06):
Gatuso knows this, we all know this. It still feels
like he has more potential left, Like he really hasn't
been a defensive line than that long. Like he's still
the ceiling is the term we always use in sports.
The ceiling for Jared Versus not even been close to
being touched yet. That's what makes it so exciting. If
your rambo I was.

Speaker 2 (01:04:25):
A couple of weeks is a couple weeks, it's a
week ago, two weeks ago, I was a great dan
to hope you're hanging out with Gatuso, you know, head
coach of the u ALBNY great teams where Jared Verse
got his start in the transferred some It turned out
it was a very young female reporter. I don't know
who she worked for or anything like that, asked Katus, so, like,
you know, if he knew any NFL players, and he

(01:04:48):
got this like ry smile, and he goes, you ever
heard of Aaron Donald? That poor reporter? And I just
looked over and I go, don't forget Jared Verse. He goes,
I thought I thought Donald was a good enough drob.
I'm just trying to help coach. I'm just trying to help.
But it's just like, you know, you don't remember that.
Like That's one of my favorite stories of all time
is when he was set to scout someone else and

(01:05:10):
he found Donald and people weren't talking about Donald at
that What a.

Speaker 3 (01:05:13):
Beast, arguably one of the greatest NFL defensive players of
all time and Aaron Donald now the defensive line for
the Rams.

Speaker 2 (01:05:19):
That's dude, Okay. I would say if I was gonna
build a defense and I could have any player in
their prime, he might be my very first pick. He
would be my very first pick.

Speaker 3 (01:05:27):
I'm just saying Lawrence Taylor proud doesn't count because he's
on We're counting Lawrence Taylor as a linebacker, right, not
a defensive line Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:05:34):
Yeah, But I just also like knowing, like I can
look back in hindsight I have I can have zero
off the field issues and a guy who commands a
triple team and still gets to the quarterback. It's nothing
against Lawrence Taylor. I mean that's like, oh, no, you
took Aaron Donald. I guess I'll take Lawrence Taylor. Like
you know, like, please don't take this as this. I'm
just saying, like if I could be a head coach

(01:05:55):
and go and just just pencil in game Wrecker every
game and just know that I can go to sleep
and not worry about what's gonna happen with him. He's
probably in the gym, him and JJ Watt next to
each other. My day is done. I don't do anything.
What would be.

Speaker 3 (01:06:07):
Funnier to watch his footage nineteen sixties football players against
Aaron Donald or Lawrence Taylor nineteen sixty football player Like
funny in the sense that there's there's gonna get worked all.

Speaker 2 (01:06:18):
Right, there's gonna explode people.

Speaker 1 (01:06:20):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
I think more humorous would be Lawrence Taylor, because I
think he would he would, he would show them up.
But I think just like all like King Kong versus
like like just small like King Kong versus smaller animals.
I think would be like the Aaron Donald. He would
just he would just be super human. Yeah, like the Donald.

Speaker 3 (01:06:38):
Think would get kind of old after three plays. All Right,
we got it, we can't block him. Taylor would just
hit people from different directions, come off the edge.

Speaker 2 (01:06:44):
All right.

Speaker 3 (01:06:45):
To my boldest take of the season. I said earlier
in the show, I had the Washington Commanders making the postseason.
So I don't know if that's the hot level of this,
and now I've turned it down to medium for Tommy
hot takes, but I love this one. This is a
two numbers you need to remember this upcoming season. Nine
in one thirty five.

Speaker 2 (01:07:03):
Someone's gonna be confused by that. What do you mean?

Speaker 3 (01:07:05):
Nine in one thirty five? The number nine is if
you averaged nine catches this season per game, which I
some people are like, that's that's possible. If you go
seventeen games and you average nine catches a game, that
means you have one fifty three seventeen times nine three
one fifty three.

Speaker 2 (01:07:22):
I got it, calculator is no one told me.

Speaker 3 (01:07:25):
That means if you hit the one to fifty, you
set the single season reception record.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
In the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:07:31):
Ceed Lamb for the Dallas Cowboys this season will have
more catches in a single season than any player ever
in the history.

Speaker 2 (01:07:36):
Of the NFL.

Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
Ceedee Lamb last season had one hundred and thirty five catches.
Michael Thomas holds the record at one forty nine. Who
in the world is running the ball for the Dallas Cowboys.
Dallas is going to be in some big matchups this season,
and Mike McCarthy likes to throw the ball. You could
argue Ceede Lam's the best wide receiver in the NFL.
Ceedee Lamb breaks the NFL singles season reception record. He
gets over one hundred and fifty receptions this season. That

(01:08:00):
is my boldest take for the season. All Right, I
mean you're you're hundrecon sold on Sea of Lamb. I
love Ceedee Lamb. Don't don't get me wrong.

Speaker 2 (01:08:08):
He's he is. He is that guy, that dude that
I really really wish the Raiders had pulled their head
from their buttoks and and drafted as a post and
I and I didn't hate the rugs pick at the time.
Obviously hindsight has proven it to be very poor. But
like he was just he wanted to be there. What

(01:08:29):
worries me is Brandon Cooks, Jalen Tolbert, Jake Ferguson hell
of a target in a running game of Zeke Elliott,
Rico Dowdell, Dalvin Cook, Induce Vaughan Like I, if I'm
a defensive coordinator, I go into every single game against
the Cowboys and go, I gotta stop eighty eight. If

(01:08:50):
I stop eighty eight, I can get. I'm fine unless
they go in Jordan rules, we can't stop eighty eight.
Let him eat stop everyone else and will win. I mean,
if one of those two things it just a little,
it makes you a little skeptical. He's got the ability,
they've got the offensive scheme to do it well. Does
he have enough around him to keep defenses occupied? Becomes

(01:09:13):
becomes a problem. And if anything happens to Dak Prescott. Oh,
now all of a sudden, it's Cooper rush Trey Lance,
how all right? Hold on real quick? Trey Lance in
the preseast. Has anyone ever looked as terrible and great
in one game as Trey Lance? Like every if you
just cut out, if you just if you could edit
him into being the worst quarterback of all time or

(01:09:34):
the best, Like, if you just edit out all his
bad plays, his good plays were phenomenal. If you edit
on his good plays, his bad plays were terrible. It
was it's crazy. So I don't know what that means,
but that's there. It is for you. All right, there's
your top four at four brought to you by Mohawkkanda where.

Speaker 3 (01:09:50):
They always going on their way to please you and
Levac we love our friends over at Elevation ten thousand,

Speaker 2 (01:09:58):
It's you know, it's one of those things my kid
thinks I'm like a superhero because it's like, hey dad,
how do we get these shirts? Hey dad, how do
we do this? Hated a buddy of mine wants to
start this or that. What do they do? And I'm
just like, oh, well, talk to you know, talk to Dave,
talk to Christian, talk to Josh. Who are these people?

(01:10:18):
Elevation ten thousand? Like it's you know, it's duh. Like
it's just when you have the answer to all the questions,
people think you're smart, and when your answer is elevation
ten thousand, you look very smart. You don't really have
to know anything it's beautiful. It's worked for me. Like
like we you know, I've had a lot of friends
go like, Hey, I want to open a restaurant. Hey,
I want to do this, Hey I want to do that. Well,

(01:10:39):
all right, our first call has to be at elevation

Speaker 3 (01:10:57):
Elevate your brand today with elevation ten thousand. Always bring
it with that. Vic you say all the great things
about elevation ten thousand, and I know they're branding Elevator

breakdowns and previews on the way. How do you feel
about going west?

Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
My son?

Speaker 3 (01:11:13):
I felt we were doing that that way and forced
and you know what, I'm gonna have this button.

Speaker 2 (01:11:17):
I'm in Dad, We're gonna it's.

Speaker 1 (01:11:19):
Lavac and Guys on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
NFL preview show, Let's go to the Western divisions. I
think we probably knocked the NFC out fastest, So let's
do that first, guys. I'm gonna make it very, very
simple for everybody. I think this is a two horse race.
I think that the Seahawks take a step back because
you've got a new coaching staff, you get all that stuff.

(01:11:45):
There's a very it's gonna be a different demeanor. I'm
not sold on Geno Smith. I think they take a
step back. I don't know if they're in to play
at all. The Cardinals they always make me nervous because
Kyler Murray can change any game, sometimes not for the best.
But I look at the Niners and I think they
just come right back. And I look at the Rams

(01:12:05):
and I think the Rams are real. I think people
are overlooking the Rams. I think the Rams are the
only threat to the forty nine ers for the NFC West.
But I am going to go forty nine ers, Rams
and then literally put the Birds on the bottom. I
don't care how you put them. But I have two
playoff teams coming out of the NFC West.

Speaker 3 (01:12:26):
Ooh okay, my math for the ram Let me let
me go backwards. Here're gonna go with the middle of
the bottom. I have to accept at some point the
Rams are good.

Speaker 2 (01:12:36):
Every single year. You're not the only one who does that,
though I do it every year.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
There was a year post Super Bowl where you went
through that RAM roster. It might have been last year, Yeah,
where you could have gone through the RAM roster and said,
name three players, excuse me, named four players. You could
name Stafford, you could name Cooper Cup and you could
name Aaron Donald and that was it, and they were
in playoff contention again. Sean McVeigh and everybody that had

(01:13:02):
a great draft you just mentioned, Jared versus Company, Pooka
and Akola comes out of nowhere. Every year the Rams
have these no name players. But whether it's the GM,
whether it's the coaching staff, they make this team a contender.
I have to stop hating on the Rams. I'm trying
to find a way to get them into the postseason.
But as we'll find out a little later on, I
just don't know where the MAT's gonna add up for
me to get LA in. For you, it makes sense

(01:13:23):
because you're not picking Washington like I am, but there
is a path there, potentially, maybe with a ten win
season for LA, I'm gonna flip back now here to
the bottom of the Arizona in Seattle. Arizona in Seattle
every year has surprised people, especially the last five years,
where it's like Arizona was supposed to be the worst
team in the NFL. Last season, they were in contention
in a lot of games. James Conder had another good season.

(01:13:45):
Seattle was supposed to be the worst team three years ago.
I remember the Week one game against Cincinnati where everybody
picked them as a survivor. It's a four o'clock window
and the Seahawks were in that game. All the way
through Seattle schedule. We talked about schedules. Go look at
Seattle's and go look at Arizona's. I you know, I'm
gonna go backwards. I think Arizonas is worse. Listen to

(01:14:06):
Arizona's first ten weeks. I'm gonna flip through his fast.
I came here ten weeks Buffalo, La, the Rams, Lions, Commanders, Niners, Packers, Chargers, Dolphins, Bears, Jets.
That's one in nine. Arizona has nowhere to breathe on
that schedule.

Speaker 2 (01:14:23):
But if they clipped, like four teams in that team
getting scratched, they're gonna be looked at as a surprising team.
Arizona schedule doesn't know help. Seattle's actually just flat out worse.
So give me Arizona at the end over Seattle, because
Seattle might start trading some pieces off because they need
a quarterback for the future, they need a higher draft pick.
So Arizona three, Seattle four Rams two, forty nine Ers

(01:14:48):
number one. All right, I'm with you. I know Jimmy
Garoppolo was on the Rams. Cooper Cops healthy too, by
the way, which makes everything very different. I'll eve USh
this further. Lev Back.

Speaker 3 (01:14:59):
I think not a will the forty nine Ers win
the West. They will finish the NFL with the best
overall record. I can see the Niners winning fourteen games
this season.

Speaker 2 (01:15:10):
Oh I don't. I'm not there. I'm not there. You
you've got the left the people. Maybe it's East Coast bias,
whatever it is. Your left tackle is is all world trip.
He hasn't shown up like Hall of Famers. It's not
coming to camp. This is not gonna Christian McCaffrey's banged up. Man.

(01:15:32):
I'm not sold on rock Party, not not like every
the rest of the world is. But you do have
Deebo saying, Brandon a you got all that drama, so
like I mean, when you when you get down to it,
Trent Williams, Brandon Ayu, Christian McCaffrey all could be in
doubt early in the season. That's that's a lot that

(01:15:52):
that's all that as they at. I mean, you got
at least two Hall of famers right there who may
not be available to you early in the season, or
at least not themselves.

Speaker 3 (01:16:01):
Yeah, and that's if the Rams are the team that's
gonna potentially get them. It's just I look at this
San Francisco team and they've had so many moments. What
do we got like seven NFC Tonal Game appearances the
last twelve season something along that, You've got multiple Super
Bowl appearances. Will they finally break through? When does it
finally end for San Fransco? You mentioned some of those
Hall of famers. Eventually John Lynch in the MAT's not

(01:16:22):
gonna work in their favor and be like we had
a great run, we got it. Just this isn't how
pro sports works. And this feels like the all in
season for San Francisco. They're gonna get tested, maybe they're
gonna run out of Gas. I mean, you know, we
talked about this with the Houston Texans. For me that
by the end of the season, dep's gonna play a factor.
The expanded schedule, the opponents every the odd Monday, Wednesday, Thursday,

(01:16:43):
stuff is gonna kick in. Maybe San Franco team who
runs out of Gas. I gotta see it before I believe.

Speaker 2 (01:16:47):
I still think they're twelve twelve plus wins, but maybe
thirteen fourteen's a lot. Fourteen's a lot, all right, But
we agree basically that everything else about how we get
to the to the place where they're I have rams
in the playoffs. You you don't, but we're pretty much
there on the on the NFC West AFC West is

(01:17:10):
very intriguing to me for a few reasons. The number
one reason is I already told you I don't I
don't think the Chiefs make the Super Bowl. I still
feel like they win the AFC West. I didn't want
them to win it. I thought I was, like, I
think one of my original dark horse predictions the Raiders
would win it. I gotta see the Raiders plan work
because you almost have to be flawless when you go

(01:17:30):
against the Patrick Mahomes Justin Herbert a Sean Payton offense,
and your plan is going to be don't screw up
like that's your plan. Don't screw up on offense, flip
the field on special teams, and kick their teeth down
their throat on defense. That's your plan. Okay, cool. Nobody
else is doing that in that division, at least not yet.

(01:17:52):
Let's let's go the problem with the AFC West. It
is another team that you better get them early is
Hardballs Chargers because as the season goes on, they're gonna
figure out what he wants from them. They're going to
embody what he is and they are gonna start running
the ball down your throat and playing solid defense. And

(01:18:14):
Justin Herberts could have probably the best year of his
career this year. Next year. Here's their schedule early. They
start home against the Raiders. Then they're at the Panthers,
at the Steelers host the Chiefs. So you got two
tough games, but two should be very winnable games. At
the Broncos at the Cardinals host the Saints. They could
be seven to one. They could very well get off

(01:18:38):
to a good start. Start believing in what's being sold
to them early and the Chargers could go on a run.
They could go on run. They can also fall fat
on their face because they're new. So I'm gonna go
this way. Chiefs win it. That Raiders physicality that nobody
else in that division is doing comes in second. And

(01:19:01):
I originally had the Broncos here because I think the
Broncos will improve. They're another team. You better get him
early because Bone next is gonna figure it out. I'm
gonna flip it. I'm with the Chargers there very close.
They may be the same record, Chargers, Broncos.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
We have the same exact division. The boy, you almost
got me to flip on the Charges over your Raiders there.
With that schedule layout and what Hardwalk can do because
it's the combination of the schedule plus everywhere Jim Harbaugh
has gone early in his career, he has overachieved San
Diego State, Stanford, the Niners, Michigan. It took a while,
but go look at those first two seasons. Hey, they

(01:19:33):
probably gonna have to rebuild. They're probably gonna be bringing recruits,
probably bringing his own plate and whoa, they're contending they
could easily be seven and one with that layout there.
The problem is that I say easily, because I don't
know who's gonna run the football. Jim Harbaugh has found ways,
whether it's Colin Kaepernick, whether I believe it was Toby
Gerhard who finished second in the Heintpin for him back
at Stanford. He's found guys even at San Diego State,

(01:19:54):
to Blake Corum for Michigan last season's on the rams
now right like he's found guys to run the foot fotball?
Does he have the horses right now?

Speaker 2 (01:20:01):
You know whose backfield is? It's the Ravens, is it?
It's Gus Edwards and JK. Dobbins.

Speaker 3 (01:20:07):
Boy, if you haven't had your Fantasy football draft yet
and you are zero running back guy, you're gonna feel great.
Like zero running back guy could say, you know what
I'm gonna do this year, I'm taking Blake Korum and
Kyron Williams that I'm taking Gus Edwards and JK. Dobbins
and hoping two of the four hit. If you are
that person, that's there's some potential there of at least
having some big games out of that back. I know

(01:20:28):
Kiraen Williams is returning kicks now, but I think for.

Speaker 2 (01:20:30):
Gus Edwards Jako, which one of you thinks will be
healthy because they're gonna get play. They're gonna get play.

Speaker 3 (01:20:35):
I will take that same division standing. I will give
the Raiders the benefit of the doubt with Antonio Pearce
and what that defense is. I will lean towards a
good defense in comparison to a quarterback who's leaning learning
Harbaugh system. As for the Broncos, the math has told
me to stay away. Like I love Bonnicks, I think
Bnicks is poised to have a fantastic NFL career. They

(01:20:56):
had tons of changes this offseason. I see that win
total sitting around five, which is one of the lowest
in the NFL along with the Patriots. How are they
gonna get to nine? How are they to eight? Like
so Denver in last all that Kansas City wins the division.
The stress of chief fan from last year where everyone
wrote them off, doesn't feel like they're head in that
direction because they're going to probably find out who their

(01:21:19):
wide receivers are, who are Mahomes's targets? And if you
want to have a breakout player for the Chiefs, Isaiah
Pacheco is poised to have maybe a top ten running
back season. Just falling into the end zone might work
for him this season. So a little boring for us
in the West here for both divisions, but sometimes boring
might be correct.

Speaker 2 (01:21:36):
Yeah, I just I don't know what it is about
the AFC West, but if you think about it, for
the last what five six years, there's been an argument
to be made that they should be the power, that
they should be the North. They should be because you know,
a couple of years ago, now you got Mahomes, Russell Wilson,
justin Herbert, Derek Carr. I know Derek Carr doesn't get

(01:21:59):
the love those guys get, but he he he'll win
you some football games. Then you just coaching wise, you
now have Harbaugh who Pilfer's his brother for a running game.
You've got Andy Reid, who is my opinion, the best
coach not in Belichick, and I may actually like him
better than Belichick. Sean Payton who has done things nobody's done.

(01:22:23):
And then Antonio Pierce is won over his team, but
he's he doesn't have the qualifiation cases the other guys have,
but like he's the he's the defensive guy in there.
They're all offensive guys. So it's like there's a storyline
to be made for for some elite football action in
the AFC West every season, and every season he just says,
what the Chiefs running away with it?

Speaker 3 (01:22:43):
It almost needs a moment to happen from one of
these teams. And New York sportsmans can remember this comparison.
Remember when finally the Jets beat the Patriots in the
postseason the Bart Scott can't wait the South like that
moment redefined how people viewed that division. If the Chargers
hadn't had that historic co lapse against the Jaguars in
twenty twenty two, remember that game, A ten wins Charger

(01:23:04):
team a better team than Jacksonville if they didn't blow
that game, How differently does life look in the AFC West.
Or I'll even toss the second theory out here. Remember
during COVID when there was a rumor that the NFL
postseason is going to be eight teams and not seven teams.
How different teams would have managed this? Like I could
see a real case playing out here that the Raiders
are Chargers could finish his team eight this season.

Speaker 2 (01:23:26):
But if you got them, and let's.

Speaker 3 (01:23:27):
Say Kansas City's team won all of a sudden one
versus eight, you get a third matchup with your AFC.
Some things haven't worked in the favor history wise for
the West. I think both of you are both of
us totally agree with that. Uns there's a third person here.
I didn't really.

Speaker 2 (01:23:42):
Huh when you when you say a moment that happens
that changes, Are you talking about the public perspective? Yeah,
smallic perspective, because I think the if there is a
moment that makes a team believe, I think it's already happened.
And I think it was when the Raiders beat the
Chiefs on Christmas, because I think that anybody who was

(01:24:03):
like mostly bought in but not fully brought bought in
on Antonio Pierce's way of coaching completely about face and
was ready to go to war for that guy. Because
that's the thing is, like, you got to you got
to ask yourself in this situation, do you want to
try and do what everybody else is doing and outscore

(01:24:24):
mahomes Sean Payton offense Harvball offense with Herbert or do
you want to go the other way and do you
want to try and stop them from scoring and build
the kind of juggernaut that is just the that is
built to beat them. Basically, it's just it's built to
limit Mahomes. It's built to keep Kelsey within reasonable numbers

(01:24:49):
and score just enough on offense to to score just
enough on offense to force them to go to twenty
one points and then and dare them to do it,
because if this is the only team in the West,
it's built that at least now. I don't know what
hardball is gonna do. But like, you're built different than
the rest of them. It's not saying you're gonna beat them,
but you did beat him, and now you can tell

(01:25:12):
yourself that. And fans are bringing Kermit the Frog Patrick
Mahomes puppets. I know people are like, oh, Raider Homer,
Raider Homer, and that's listen. I love my Raiders. I
always think they're better than they're gonna be. But this
is the first time that I'm looking at and going,
I see what you're doing. It's different because the other
the Derek Carr teams were built to be an offense

(01:25:33):
that could outscore the other offenses. Derek. I love Derek Carr.
He's not outscoring Patrick Mahomes, at least not regularly. He's
not outscoring Justin Herbert Russell Wilson. At that point, he
could Jimmy Garoppolo. He ain't outscoring nobody. He's actually for
all more completions to the Bills in Week two. So,
like you gotta be, there's gotta be a different solution

(01:25:54):
to the problem. How much would you dislike this potential
scenario play now? This could play out this season.

Speaker 3 (01:25:59):
Let's say You're Raiders are average, but the quarterback plays
jumping out. Hey, Minshew's not great. They know Connell's below average.
Somehow they work their way into the quarterback sweepstakes and
they're looking for the Raider quarterback, a bad boy.

Speaker 2 (01:26:13):
The haters are against him. He does the Uh did
I not see that text? Who was it?

Speaker 3 (01:26:19):
Wait a second? Maybe, well who do you? Who are
you suggested? I was suggesting that you wouldn't like this.
But there might be talk this season of Shador Sanders
of Colorado being a Raider.

Speaker 2 (01:26:28):
The guy that I think is a Raider quarterback is
already in the NFL. He has almost no accolades. Oh,
I know who it is? Uh Tyson Badget Yeah, I
mean you saw. Look that dude has learned everything they
put in front of him. He was a freak at
a lower level in college. He's he's got his competitive

(01:26:50):
streak is born into him. He's covered in tattoos. He's
a physical monster. He wants to hit you like that.
Dude looks like a Raider quarterback to me, Like that,
that's the dude that I'm like, Okay, if if you
were gonna make a move and not break the bank
and win enough that you're not gonna be able to
go draft, you know, anybody not named Shore Sanders, I

(01:27:11):
can't deal with Sanders. I cannot do it. I don't
need Dion Sanders repping the Raiders like that. That day
has past. But like that dude is somebody that I
think you gotta like keep an eye on because they're
not gonna be able to keep him as a second
stringer forever. And he looks like he's ready to the
game plan that I just told you about. Play solid defense,

(01:27:33):
flip the field on special teams, and don't screw up
on offense, but then score enough to make them nervous.
He could run that offense just fine, and and so Cadeoc. Eventually,
Gardner mische is a joke man. He was just on
the Rush podcast talking about living in vans and all stuff,
and I love that idea. But I don't need my
quarterback being a freaking hippie. I don't need Uncle Rico.

(01:27:54):
I don't need Uncle Rico running my quarterback, you know,
being running my quarterback group. Like, I don't need that.

Speaker 3 (01:27:59):
Sometimes you're like, okay, that's enough. Back in the time,
we got it, we got a gardener, we got it.

Speaker 2 (01:28:03):
Like I didn't get this. I didn't watch the whole thing,
but I'm really hoping Crossby called him a little last
boy the entire time, just like he did when he
played against him. I just it's just, you know, it's
he's not a Raiders quarterback. He is not like just ye,
I mean he is right now and he may go
out and sling it and may win me over, but
right now now, So all right. So I I do
have two teams coming out of the West into the playoffs.

(01:28:24):
I do have the Raiders getting sneaking in with the
wild card.

Speaker 3 (01:28:27):
I have just one apiece there, just the Chiefs, just
the Niners, Chalky Chalky mcchonkerton.

Speaker 2 (01:28:32):
For me, I got two each Rams, Niners, well Niners,
Rams and then Chiefs Raiders. All right, that's the that's
the West, how the how the West? Maybe one possibly
could be one. And we we keep rolling on as
we try to we try to pretend we know what
the hell we're talking about the NFL previous show.

Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Whether you're listening to this on a Saturday or Sunday,
whatever it is, Monday, we get closer and closer to kickoff. Thursday,
September fifth is the kickoffs for the NFL season, and
Lavac and I will be broadcasting live for the first
day of the NFL season for our friends at Mohawk Chevrolet.
Scarjow will be a full NFL speed for you the
back on Thursday.

Speaker 2 (01:29:06):
I can't I can't wait. You know, it's nice to
Actually I had to try to find the lights between
now and then try to have those installed real quick.
While we're there. I'm getting multiple compliments about Scargro now
that we've added the bar. I think I figured out
earlier was last week we saw the greatest newsman in
the history of the Capitol Region, Jim Gagliardi fondling the side.

(01:29:27):
I think one of the stickers is coming loose. But
the lucky thing about it is it's the time frame
and it was still three to five when we did it,
so we can get the three to six pot on
there maybe. But it's so funny to me because people
are like, well, oh sure if I could, if I
could get a deal on a Black Widow, i'd go
there too. Well, I got the deal because I told
them years ago what I wanted and they just happened

(01:29:47):
to luck into finding one that the circumstances allowed them
the lower the price. So like supplier pricing right now,
that's your opportunity to get in there, get yourself a
Sedan su pickup truck whatever supplier pricing save tons of money. Again,
I if it wasn't for them knowing exactly what I

(01:30:08):
was looking for and knowing the timeframe in which I
could have it, I would never have this truck. So
what you're doing when you go to Mahak Chevrolet is
you're building a partnership. You're working with the Mohawk team.
GM Travis Horn, assistant GM Katie Duncan. All those people
are going, hey, look my guy Derek, Like, hey Derek,
I need a car now. This is what I want. Hey,

(01:30:28):
I really want this, and I can wait until you
find the right one. And with carbrov and everything else.
They're gonna help you find that vehicle. They're gonna get
you the pricing you're looking for. Finance department second to none,
Service department second to none. Together, let's drive at Mohawk Chevrolet,
where they always go out of their way to please you.
Love ourselves some Mohawk Chevrola.

Speaker 3 (01:30:48):
You Levac said this the lead off today's episode of
the NFL Preview Show. You wanted to hold the North
till the end because I believe you think these could
be the best races, the best divisions, the best teams.
I'm gonna find out the answers to all those questions
and the reason we kept the AFC North and NFC
North as our final division breakdown. Next here on the
NFL twenty twenty four Lavaka Gaz Season preview Show.

Speaker 1 (01:31:11):
It's Lavak and Goz on ninety five nine Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (01:31:16):
NFL Preview Show. Going steer wrong, or at least I'd
like to think so it is. It's going well. I
think this might be the best one we've ever done.
You shit it every year, though, I do, Yeah, you do.
I'm like the w old WWF pay per views that
wo be the greatest wrestle media of all time. The
Monday after all. Right, So here's the deal. It's time
for the North. The North remembers what do you wanta?

(01:31:37):
Do you want to at least you brought you NFC first, right,
because AFC is so is so intriguing that Hard Knocks
is covering all four teams. Let us I agree, let's
lead off with the NFC North. This. I struggled with
the North, and I think I'll be honest with you,
I think when we did the way too early preview,
this might be the division I've changed the most. There's
a couple of things that have happened. Obviously, got quarterback

(01:31:58):
issues in minutes, so to JJ McCarthy, he's done for
the season. So it's Sam Darnold or bust which might
be bussed. I don't like, I don't. I don't know.
When you look at Detroit, there's gotta be a point
where they figured Detroit out, Like, there's got to be
a point where the other coaches look at what Man
Campbell and the crew are doing and go, oh, I

(01:32:20):
can do that. I can do that. You look at Chicago, Wow,
I mean they just they're super talented. Can they go
all the way from you know, okay to great it
with this year, and then there's Green Bay, where I
don't think I gave them nearly enough love pun intended
when we first did this. So I will just I'm
just gonna run through it in order for you guys,

(01:32:40):
and you can tell me if you agree, disagree, think
I'm crazy, whatever. I believe that the Packers win the North,
the Bears come in second, Lions, third, Vikings in the basement.

Speaker 3 (01:32:57):
Yes, that's the same exact standings I have. I'm fighting
for the top on that I will for the second
consecutive division breakdown. I gotta go backwards for my mind
to understand where I'm going on this path along the
way of the North. Luckily, I'm not using a compass
and I'm bad with directions, so I gotta go backwards.

Speaker 2 (01:33:13):
First.

Speaker 3 (01:33:13):
Let's go with the Vikings first. Okay, Minnesota's gonna be
the worst team in the NFL this season.

Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Oh, I don't think so, Minnesota. I'm willing to be
worst in Carolina. So I would go to Rivers.

Speaker 3 (01:33:23):
And if they told me you have to place a
wager on the team that you think will have the
number one overall pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft.
I would go with the Vikings. Now that's the fun
part about that question. Do I think Minnesota is a
worse team than Carolina.

Speaker 2 (01:33:37):
No.

Speaker 3 (01:33:38):
However, we've talked a lot about schedules, and rightfully so.
It's an NFL season preview show. Go look at the Vikings,
Sam Darnold, Justin Jefferson. I can't find four wins on
that schedule. I can't find four. Listen to the first
five out of the gates for the Vikings, Giants, Niners, Texans, Packers, Jets.

(01:33:59):
So I won't say, guys, they canna be the Giants
a week one, Okay. I would look at the Giants
and say home game. Brian Davile had a whole summer
and they already clipped them the postseason two years ago.
That's a good matchup for the Giants in weekly.

Speaker 2 (01:34:11):
As if I'm the Giants, that's a must win game.
And I know, I know that sounds ridiculous for the
first week of the season, but I need that game
because I'm gonna be I might not be favored again
until right Panthers. I might not be favored again until

(01:34:31):
the Panthers in November.

Speaker 3 (01:34:33):
The Vikings could be Owen eight O seven. There's a
by weekend there. They could be Owen seven by the
time we get to week eight. And by the way,
at the end of that schedule green Bay and Detroit,
I can't find four wins for the Vikings. So I
would say they're gonna be the worst team in the
NFL this season. Now we go to the Bears. You've
watched Hard Knocks. I've watched Hard Knocks. They're awesome. They

(01:34:53):
were a team last season.

Speaker 2 (01:34:54):
So the Giants at this point are not favored. They're
getting a point a half of the BAK.

Speaker 3 (01:34:58):
That game is gonna try. I mean, it's gonna go
to Rivers. I don't know what I'm gonna do with
that game. I actually I've been thinking about using that
as a survivor pick for the Giants. That's maybe two bold.
So with that, I would say Minnesota is terrible. Chicago.
Look at the Bears. They're so good. The towns there,
the quarterbacks there, they've added the pieces. Ryan Poles looks
like a genius's GM. The playoff scenario for the Bears

(01:35:21):
comes down to one game for me, and it is
the game for the Chicago Bears that I mentioned earlier
in this show that is in the middle of the fall.
Someone argue late fall, but it's the Washington Commander matchup
one o'clock game, Week eight. Both those teams, for me,
record wise, are sitting in the same spot. They actually
may finish the season with the same record. But I

(01:35:43):
have Washington at home beating Chicago to a great game.
That's the difference. The Bears barely missed the postseason.

Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
Same with you.

Speaker 3 (01:35:50):
I've got the Packers over the lines at the top
of the North. Both team's gonna go back and forth,
gonna be an awesome finish to the NFL season. Chicago
gets green Bay in that last week. Green Bay fit
it off. Both teams, Packers and Lions double digit victories
this season. I've got two teams coming out of the
North for playoff spots.

Speaker 2 (01:36:09):
I've got three. I've got three coming out. I've got
green Bay winning it, and then I have the Bears
and the Lions doing just enough to be wild cards.
That's again I think the Lions. The Lions intrigued me.
Dan Campbell is a goofyar Antonio Pierce like I know,

(01:36:31):
I know he knows football. But I know he's not
the strategist, right, Like I know, I know he's got
a strategy that his guys coach into and and whatnot.
But I know, but I don't feel as though like
they're the guy that that is gonna decide the game
plan that week. The guys you do decide the game
plan have to go inside that. And like Dan Campbell's

(01:36:53):
gonna make some weird calls, like that's all there is
to it. We know he is, and he's gonna that's
either gonna cost or it's gonna work out. But I
got it. I got him in there. All right, let's go,
let's go here, let's do it. Main event time, baby,
so heavyweight.

Speaker 3 (01:37:06):
The best division in football, we both agree, is this
season the AFC North, and it should be potentially about
this time it's all said and done, maybe one of
the greatest divisions in NFL history. I know we did
that with the West a few years ago. Last year
the North was it first week of December, all four
teams were in the postseason. If the season ended that, yeah,
that's how good it was.

Speaker 2 (01:37:23):
Last year. All right, I know that I've got the
Steelers in the basement. I know that I've got the
Ravens winning it, and I still don't believe in the Bengals,
So I go Baltimore Ravens as the number one seed
in the AFC. I've got the Cleveland Browns coming in second,

(01:37:47):
Cincinnati Bengals third, and the Steelers a distant fourth. Mike
Tomlin loses as a losing season, we'll.

Speaker 3 (01:37:53):
Go backwards again. For me, I have the Steelers in
last place as well, just like you in the Bank Spent.
It's a little less about Pittsburgh's talent and more about
how stacked division is. The quarterback play is gonna cost them.
Has Najie Harris ever been good, at least expectation wise. No,
Mike Tomlin's gonna spot here this season where the heat
is gonna be on for another year of bad quarterback play.
Post Big Ben, I also have Pittsburgh in the basement,

(01:38:15):
likely below five hundred this season. We have not moved
off this together. This is the take from the Levakan
Guys NFL previous show that I think will shock everybody.

Speaker 2 (01:38:25):
Maybe this should have been in the top four.

Speaker 3 (01:38:27):
We both can't stay in the Bengals this season. There
are people who are gonna pick the Bengals to go
to the Super Bowl. There are gonna be people who
say that's the team that knocks off the Chiefs because
they've done it before. You and I don't have him
in the postseason. I've got Cincinnati at three missing out
of the postseason. Whether it's the weird stuff going on
when we're talking about this episode with Jamar Chase, Joe

(01:38:48):
Mixon leaving the other two teams getting better, I don't
see it in Cincinnati.

Speaker 2 (01:38:52):
They've done it before. This is not the year. I'm
still flipping this one.

Speaker 3 (01:38:57):
I've got the Browns winning the AFC North, and not
just winning the AFC North. That Cleveland Brown team you
had the Ravens is the top seed I believe in
the postseason. I have the Browns entering this postseason is
the top team. So the winner of the North, we
both agree, will be the number one seed in the postseason.
I have Cleveland. The Shawn Watson status is up of

(01:39:18):
the year. I think if they let Jamis Winston just
be a mad man out there, just tone it down
a little bit with the interceptions. Maybe Nick Chubb can
get healthy. I got the Browns and the Ravens both
coming to the postseason with the Browns getting a bye
for that Super wild Card weekend.

Speaker 2 (01:39:34):
I have I do have. I have the Browns making
the postseason. Glad you do not have them winning it.
I do have the Ravens. So there it is we
the North right.

Speaker 3 (01:39:42):
There is that surprising I think for some people, like
the fact that we have Cleveland locked it as a
postseason team. I think some people, because you're the thinking
like Cleveland Detroit are very similar the tradition of those
franchises that they're awful. Would they both take in different
directions like could Detroit miss the postseason this year?

Speaker 2 (01:39:59):
Probably? Cleveland missed the postseason? Maybe? But I think you
and I are giving.

Speaker 3 (01:40:03):
The benefit of the doubt of Hey, we know historically
both franchise have been terrible, but neither one of us
can ignore what happened in twenty twenty three and what
the team looks like in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 2 (01:40:14):
Well, I mean, I mean, listen, listen to this. It's
Deshaun Watson, Jamis Winston, Dorian Thompson, Robinson. That's a that's
a solid quarterback room. Even if Watson falls on his
face or isn't right, you're running backs first four weeks,
no Chubb, but you've had Jerome, you have Jerome Ford
and you've had Donta Foreman. Both be very good for you. Your
wide receiver room is a Marii Cooper, Jerry Judy and

(01:40:36):
Elijah Moore. That those are weapons. David and Joku at
tight end. The defense is star studed, star studed Miles Garrett,
Zadarius Smith, Devin Bush, Denzel Ward, Devin Bush who left
the Steelers and has been literally whizzing on them verbally

(01:41:00):
verbal whizzing like he did a whole grass is greener
where it looks like he's like he's watering a grass.
But I don't know what he's wanting with like that.
This team is talented, just flat out well built. The
coaching staff is probably underrated. If Watson has a good year,
a good year thirty five hundred to four thousand yards

(01:41:24):
in the air, four hundred on the ground, total of
twenty eight to thirty touchdowns, but only like ten interceptions,
ten turnovers. They're going playoffs because the defense is going
to crush people. When Nick Chubb gets back, I know
people think he's not going to be Nick Chubb. Okay,
I'll I'll take it. I'll take a semi chub. I

(01:41:47):
will all all of those things. I take Kaitlin Clark
and myself all of those things.

Speaker 3 (01:41:52):
He said, it's happening in Cleveland, it's happening in Detroit.
They've built the roster, they've got the coach, they've got
the defensive stunts for Hutchinson and for the Lion too.
On the other side, Miles scare for Cleveland. They've done
it the right way. Their GM's good, their head coaches good.
These are really well built rosters. And just take another
shot at Cincinnati, the team you and I both look
in and getting the most overrated team got into the season.

(01:42:15):
Some people will say this means a ton. Some people
say it means nothing. Remember what happened with Cincinnati in
the preseason. Not only did the Cincinni Bangals go owing
three in the preseason, they lost by a combined total.

Speaker 2 (01:42:26):
Of fifty points.

Speaker 3 (01:42:28):
Was it like they barely lost fifty points in three games?
What so, Cincinnati's looked terrible in August. Take that for
what it is, and in Week one the back I'll
tell you this right now, here's an NFL season preview
exclusive for you. I love the Patriots Week one. That
is my favorite Week one wager. Not gonna go money line,

(01:42:50):
but I'm taking the Patriots with the points is my
favorite play. I believe most people across survivor pools and
everybody else you know, you've heard me give this take
a thousand times. That seems like the biggest blowout of
Week one. We've all fallen for the trick before. Do
not buy it. Go with the Patriots week one. I
wouldn't be shocked if since An he loses Week one

(01:43:10):
and everyone says, oh wait a second. Didn't love Ack
and guys mentioned that in the NFL season preview show
that the Bengals might be overrated. We might have some
more people supporting us by next Monday or next weekend,
depending on when you're listening to this.

Speaker 2 (01:43:22):
We said it first. Remember that about our Bangali take.
Oh man, I I'm fired up. I'm fired up. That's
that's that's the Bengals. Now. You know they're gonna go
be the one seed. No no, no, no, go to
the super Bowl in New Orleans. Being crow for five months,
somebody's let Burrow know what we said. He's gonna fire
at us like what I'm now idiots. All right, Also listen.

(01:43:48):
One thing I know for sure is that a good
way to be a winner is the Integrated Sleep Center
in Ballston Spole with doctor fred Dreer Giants fans, So
maybe not bring up football until we know what the
Giants looks like to that poor man. He does so
much for so many Lorian's in the office, all the
great people there ivy to help you. This is what
they do. You get the study done, you find out

(01:44:08):
sleep abna, how bad it is, snoring, how bad it is,
how they can help you. I'm somebody that I don't
usually sleep on my back, so the mask was never
gonna work for me. I was not gonna go do
the surgery stuff. Some of the surgery things I've heard
for sleep abnia sound terrifying to me. So when I
found out I could get a mouthpiece that keep my
roway open and that would take me from severe sleep

(01:44:30):
abna to extremely manageable, I was like, Yo, that's in
sign Like sign me up. And it has been an
absolute game changer. I've got a mouthpiece, easy to travel with,
easy to clean, no hoses, no wires, no surgery. Doctor
fred Dreer is a literal life Saver, give him a
call five eight eight five six five five eight eight

(01:44:50):
five six wenty five. Don't be a guzz call now
because Gods is afraid for some reason to have the
easiest way to fix a problem. I think it's just
because I went first, and now I don't want to go.
I think that's all. That's what it comes down to.
Coming up next, get to tal about the playoffs. But
again the Integrated Sleep Center in Boston spot I helped
me sleep better, can help you sleep better too. NFL
Playoffs coming up next. Lavak Gobbs Fox Sports Radio ninety five,

(01:45:13):
nine to nine eighty.

Speaker 1 (01:45:14):
It's love Ak and Guz on the Voice of the
Capitol Regions sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five nine and
nine eighty.

Speaker 2 (01:45:21):
All Right, the NFL preview show is this should be
the probably the quickest one to do. Let's do the
playoffs with the seeding real quick and then we'll we'll
give way to Zack and Zach. I have to give
way to Zach and Zach because it was Boyden's birthday recently,
and Harris said, if you didn't get more airtime, I'd

(01:45:41):
never get my cat back when I was on vacation.
So we have to give them time. They're gonna be
like the speed Stirs.

Speaker 3 (01:45:47):
They're gonna be like what we just did in an
hour and a half and fifteen to twenty minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:45:50):
It's probably better. All right, do you want to go first?
I would let go first. Okay, go ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:45:54):
Here's what my AFC playoff picture will look like in
twenty twenty four. Here are my top seven seeds. Cleveland
are the number one seed when it's all said and done,
going into the postseason, this is where it's gonna get
real interesting. Listen carefully, Chiefs at two, Jets A three,
Jaguars at four. So those are my four division winners.
Remember that Chiefs, Jets, Jaguars, followed by my three wildcards Dolphins, Ravens, Bills. Well,

(01:46:20):
I kept saying that was so interesting is because you're
gonna get in the super Wildcard round. Another postseason matchup
for mine between the Chiefs and the Bills and the
Jets and the Ravens. That should be a lot of fun.
A Jet playoff home game on the NFC. I've got
the Niners as the number one overall seed. And again,
listen to these matchups. You would get an expanded wildcard. Dallas,
Green Bay, and Tampa are my three division winners in

(01:46:42):
that order, two, three, four five, followed by Philly Detroit
in Washington. That means you get an NFC East Battle
round three between the Cowboys and the Commanders, you get
the Packers and the Lions in a round three matchup,
and you get a rematch from last year's wildcard matchup
between the Bucks and the Ego. So that's how my
seven plays out.

Speaker 2 (01:47:02):
I don't know if I want to run through it yet.
I don't know. I mean, we have more time with it.
That's right, we're doing it. Did the math weird here,
all right? So so here's here's where I'm at, and
it's there's a lot of similarity. There's a lot of similarity.
My number one overall seed Baltimore Ravens, two can't Stay Chiefs,
three Buffalo Bills for the Jags. That's what I got.

(01:47:24):
And then my wild cards. I've got the Raiders at
five and I and I know again Homer blah blah blah.
I just I feel like they can do enough to
make other teams uncomfortable to win some football games. Jets
at six, Browns at seven. So we got a lot
of same teams, different places, some small differences. That's my
seven and that leads you to like matchups like Cleveland

(01:47:46):
and Kansas City Jets, Bills, Raiders, Jags. That's the fun
little wild card weekend for me. If if mine come through.
On the NFC side, I've got the Packers, is the
number one seed. I'm showing them some love. Heck giggdy uh.
Number two, I've got the Niners. Three, the Falcons, and
then four I've got the Dallas Cowboys, the wild Cards. One,
I've got the Rams. I think the Rams are good.

(01:48:08):
I think people are sleeping on the Rams. And then
I've got two North teams. Six, i got the Bears.
Seven I've got the Lions. That means that you are
going to get a very weird Wildcard weekend, but potential
for some seriously cool matchups in the divisional round for me.
So those are those are my my fourteen playoff teams

(01:48:28):
dancing away after Zach and Zach have their way with
the show for however however long they're here, I'll give
you how they all play out. How's that sound? I don't
even I did MVP and Rookies of the Year too,
about those now real quick, let's do those real good.

Speaker 3 (01:48:44):
We had about another three minutes before we handed out
to the Zak and Zaction. What do you got for
the wors because I gave mine out. I gave Josh
Allen the MVP was my big tank, all.

Speaker 2 (01:48:50):
Right, So I I my MVP. I kind of like
I went a little cheesy. Either Jordan Love or Lamar Jackson.
I think one of those two win it. I'm going
I'm hedging to Jordan Love. Something about him feels right
this year. But Lamar Jackson's just you know, it's it's
never a bad bet. Not the year allowed to Offensive
Rookie of the Year, I go Caleb Williams. I just

(01:49:12):
I bought in. I bought in. The guy's got he's
got particular fortitude. I agree with you because I think
Chicago's in the mix till the end for that playoff spot.
I already told you. Defensive Rookie of the Year, Jared Vers,
Let's go get some sacks, baby, comeback player of the Year.
I'm torn between Aaron Rodgers we are a jet station.
I think he's in and Deshaun Watson. Those are the
two I'm torn between. For your comeback Player of the Year,

(01:49:34):
I would go Rogers.

Speaker 3 (01:49:35):
But man, I'm kicking myself because last year on this
previous show you said you'd take the field over to
mar Hamlin. I was going wildly like, I would never
do that bet. It's a slam Dunkin's Hamlin that would
have paid more than any other wager future wise last
year if you went Field over tomor Hamlin, if I did, really,
I think anybody, Yeah, but I did in particular.

Speaker 2 (01:49:52):
Yeah, well I should have. I'm saying I should. Well,
not that you can we just drive out of state, right.

Speaker 3 (01:49:57):
And then it also offer field bets. It's not you
want to bet against this guy. No one would have
picked Joe Flacco. It was't even on the board.

Speaker 2 (01:50:03):
Uh yeah, oh sorry. It's got a cool message I
was looking for, all right, So there it is. That
is that's who's dancing. That's some of the awards that
I believe will be handed out. I do want to
tell you about our good friends over at c DT

and Zach, we just gonna let this happen.

Speaker 3 (01:50:46):
We're gonna let them take over. This is the ADHD
version of the NFL Previews show. This is gonna feel
like you're on a train. Some people are gonna scan
forward and said, I.

Speaker 2 (01:50:54):
Want it quicker.

Speaker 3 (01:50:55):
Wait. But when we come back after we give it
up to our guys, Zack and Zach. We've been a
great job for us. We always appreciate their help. The
pressure will be on Levac and I will be telling
you who's going to play in the New Orleans super
Bowl on February ninth, twenty twenty five. Our streak is
on the line. Can we make it five consecutive NFL
season preview shows where someone named Lavac or Guz has

(01:51:19):
gotten somebody right in the super Bowl? The streak is
on the line. When we're back in about twenty minutes, streak.

Speaker 2 (01:51:24):
Is on and on and in ndies. What I don't
know who.

Speaker 1 (01:51:29):
It's Lovak and Guz on the voice of the Capitol
Regions Sports Fan Fox Sports ninety five to nine and
nine eighty. Girl.

Speaker 2 (01:51:38):
All right, let's do it. Let's paint this picture. Let's
tile everybody how we see this playing out, and then
try to keep this streak alive, always having at least
one team in the Huber Bowl, and with any Locke,
we'll be there.

Speaker 3 (01:51:52):
Okay, let's take us to the conference title games. Do
you like to go first? You'd like me to go first?
Lets you go first? Okay, I will take Chiefs, Bills,
Bills fans, but Wild Carter Conference we're gonna I'm gonna
quickly go through. I think the Chiefs are gonna beat
the Bills, so we're doing the wildcard quick Chiefs Bills,
Jets losing the postseason, Jackuars losing the postseason. So two upsets.
So I have the Ravens, Dolphins, Chiefs, and Browns. We

(01:52:14):
will get to an AFC title game that will feature
the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns. That's I
see the AFC title game, Chiefs, Browns. On the NFC side,
I have a lot of ups Now I'm gonna go
with some chalk in the NFC besides my Buccaneers, Philly wins,
Green Bay wins, Dallas wins, and I get to the

(01:52:36):
point where I get a forty Niners Packers NFC title game.
So a lot of familiar names there. We see the
Chiefs back of the title game. We see the Niners
back of the title game. Two new faces in the
Packers in Browns. Those are my final four. Okay, all right,
so I'll give you a clause it there.

Speaker 2 (01:52:55):
All right. So the AFC side Wildcard round, I've got
the Chiefs hosting the Browns. Chiefs advance, Bill's hosting the Jets,
and Bills advance, Jags hosting the Raiders. Raiders advance. Okay,
get off my back. Divisional Round. Baltimore hosts the Raiders,
Raiders Cinderella's It's midnight, baby, Sorry you out. Baltimore wins,

(01:53:18):
Chiefs host the Bills. Bills win this one, giving me
an AFC championship game of the Bills at the Ravens.
Going over to the NFC Wildcard Round, san Fran host Detroit,
San Fran wins, Falcons host Chicago. I've got Chicago moving on,
and then Rams at Dallas I've got Rams beating the Cowboys,

(01:53:39):
giving you a divisional matchup. Green Bay hosts Chicago, Great
Game beats them, San Fran hosts the Rams. Great Game.
San Fran wins San Fran at Green Bay. For my
NFC championship game.

Speaker 3 (01:53:53):
We have this same NFC title game forty nine Ers
and Packers. And you had one more time on the AFC.
You had Bills versus I've got Bills versus Ravens. Okay,
so we have two of the same, two of the
four same in this And there's interesting about the NFC.
I'm gonna get to that in a second. We're gonna

(01:54:13):
give you our Super Bowl fifty nine pick February ninth,
twenty twenty five, live in New Orleans. I believe they're
still gonna call it the Mercedes Benz Super Domes what
they call it now. Hopefully Levack and I will be there.
All plans are another year of radio row. But before
we paid all off, let's tell you about our friends
over a Draft Kings Sportsbook week one of the NFL

you if you followed their preview show, yes, we've nailed

(01:55:40):
four straight NFL preview show Super Bowl or participants.

Speaker 2 (01:55:44):
But it's been in the NFC every single year.

Speaker 3 (01:55:47):
The NFC is represented, and I feel good about it
because we both are thinking the same thing about the NFC.
Let's let you go first, because last year you nailed
the Niners. You kept the streak alive. And by the way,
it's been odd even odd even. Twenty and twenty two
has been my year I got it right. Twenty one
and twenty three has been the year you've got it right.

(01:56:08):
Let's hear your Super Bowl New Orleans, February twenty five.

Speaker 2 (01:56:15):
Do you want a drum roll? No? How about the
Baltimore Ravens versus the Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl.
That's it, and I have Baltimore winning it. Baltimore wins
the Super Bowl, takes out the Packers. Ravens drop that

purple good Patty, everything's good for me.

Speaker 3 (01:56:40):
I have the Kansas City Chiefs representing the AFC. They're
getting back to the super Bowl. We're gonna have to
cover another Chief super Bowl I thought we were done
with this with the Patriots.

Speaker 2 (01:56:50):
They're going back.

Speaker 3 (01:56:51):
I need to see somebody not named Cincinnati knock them
off before I'm gonna stop picking against them. We saw
the Bengals do it, we saw the Buccaneers do it.
Because of course they're in the NFC. I'm taking the
Chiefs to win the AFC until somebody takes that crown
away from him. And I believe, for a first in
the history of this NFL preview show, I also have
the Green Bay Packers win in the NFC. Somewhere our

guy Big Alice fired up, our guy Jeff on Twitter's
fired up, if you Jordan on Instagram, if you are
a Packer fan.

Speaker 2 (01:57:18):
We both believe.

Speaker 3 (01:57:20):
They have a young roster, they have a paid quarterback,
they have an improved backfield, they have a great division
at testament. Let's also remember they probably should have beat
San Francisco last season.

Speaker 2 (01:57:30):
They had him on the ropes.

Speaker 3 (01:57:31):
I have Chiefs Packers in this year's Super Bowl, and
I have the Kansaity Chiefs doing it one more time.
To be the man, you've got to beat the man
until I see it. I don't want the history of
the two thousands decade being you and I always picked
against the Chiefs. I feel okay with that, seeing the
Chiefs need to get knocked off. Give me Chiefs Packers
in this year's Super Bowl.

Speaker 2 (01:57:53):
All right, there it is. We both have the pack
You have the Chiefs. I have the Ravens. Have the
Ravens win at all. Sorry about that Packer fans, but hey,
you're there. Isn't that something? This is there? It is different. Interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:58:08):

Speaker 2 (01:58:30):

Speaker 3 (01:58:31):
