Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yesterday, the Vanwert County Sheriff's Office released the details of
a Tuesday afternoon chase that involved a Lincoln View High
School student. On Tuesday afternoon, a juvenile probation officer was
sent to Lincoln View High School to speak with a
sixteen year old student who had allegedly sent threatening text
messages to another student. Instead, the student ran from the officer,
(00:22):
stole an unlocked car with the keys in it from
the parking lot, and proceeded to lead law enforcement on
a high speed chase that would eventually see the teen
crash the car he stole from the school, only to
steal another and crash it as well, before fleeing on
foot and finally being captured hiding under a bush at
a home in Shawnee Township. At Allen County, detectives found
(00:45):
guns in the juvenile's home and also found two handguns
in the car he stole from the school. They believed
the juvenile did not have a gun while he was
at school, but rather retrieved them when he went to
his house after initially fleeing from the probation officer. Four
people are dead in Tiffin in an apparent murder suicide
(01:07):
We get this story with iHeartRadio's Lee Mawen.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
My murder suicide and Tiffin leads to two children and
two adult men dead. It took place Wednesday evening on
a Hut Street home around six o'clock. A female was
found inside the home, but it's unknown if she was injured.
Tiff and police recovered a handgun of the scene. It's
unknown if all the shootings happen inside this home. There's
no known family connections between the men and the children.
(01:31):
No ages or identities have been released at this time.
The Ohio BCI is helping in the active investigation. Eimley Mawen.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Turning to Washington, President Trump signed a bill last night
that would compel the Justice Department to publicly release all
its files on convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Fox's
Doug Louzader reports from Washington.
Speaker 3 (01:54):
President Trump accusing Democrats of sitting on these files for years.
This is what he posted on truth Social Do not
forget the Biden administration did not turn over a single
file or page related to Democrat Epstein, nor did they
ever even speak about him. Democrats have used the Epstein issue,
which affects them far more than the Republican Party in
(02:16):
order to try to distract from our amazing victories. Attorney
General Pambondi, meantime and her Justice Department have thirty days
now to comply, although some documents may be redacted and
others may be withheld citing ongoing investigations.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
That's Fox's Doug Louzader reporting. We told you last week
the US Mint will no longer make pennies, and now
the last pennies minted by the US government are expected
to bring in big bucks at auction.
Speaker 4 (02:45):
Tammy Trujillo reports the coins will be sold December eleventh
by Staxbauers Galleries with two hundred and thirty two special
three coin sets symbolizing the two hundred and thirty two
years of US penny production. Each set will include two
regular pennies from the Mints in Philadelphia and Denver and
one twenty four caret goldpenny. Each set is expected to
bring it around forty five thousand to fifty thousand dollars.
(03:09):
I'm Tammy Trihio.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Some Republicans at the Ohio State House are looking to
make it more challenging to pass property tax levies in
the state. A GOP backed bill would up the threshold
for voter approval on property tax ballot issues to sixty percent,
as opposed to a simple majority. Supporters of the bill
say it would ensure that property tax increases are understood
(03:33):
and decided on by a greater portion of the public.
And a bill that would change the deadline for absentee
ballots in Ohio is headed to the Governor's desk. Lawmakers
passed Ohio Senate Bill two ninety three. Under the measure,
all mail in ballots will need to be received by
election officials in all eighty eight Ohio counties by the
time polls close on election day in order to be counted. Currently,
(03:57):
ballots just need to be postmarked by the day before
election day and can arrive up to four days later.
