An elderly Van Werkman lost his life in a crash
yesterday afternoon. The Highway Patrol says the accident happened about

Friend failed to yield to oncoming traffic when he attempted
to turn onto US two twenty four and was hit
by another driver. Friend was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile,
in Hardin County, the Sheriff's Office is warning citizens of
a scam going around. They say they have received calls
from the public stating they've been contacted by Lieutenant Williams

the person portraying themselves as Lieutenant Williams is giving false
information concerning legal matters and requesting that the recipient take
action immediately. They say, if you receive one of those calls,
to please call the Sheriff's office directly. That would be

lawmakers are pulling back a plan regarding access to police records.
