From the WYMA Sports Desk. The All Star Break comes
to an end today as the Reds get back to action.
They open a three game set in New York against
the Mets Tonight at seven ten. We'll have the pregame
at six forty. Nicolodolo goes for the Reds against Sean
Manea for New York. The Reds are fifty and forty seven.
That leaves them in the playoff chase in the National

League and the wild card standings. The Reds are two
and a half games behind the Padres for the third
and final spot, with the Giants and Cardinals between themselves
and San Diego. Heading into the All Star Break, Reds
manager Terry Francono was asked if he likes where the
Reds sit hitting the break.

I think we were done well had we played. But
you know, I guess the right side is some guys
in the nursing's injuries hopefully don't get healthy. Strong three
games here with the Grand Lake before they all start breaking.

The two games with Southern Ohio will not be made up.
The Locos now have just six games remaining in the
regular season. They host Grand Lake tonight and tomorrow night
and visit the Mariners on Sunday. That it's the All
Star break and three more games at the end of
next week, and coach Chad Urnsberger says now is the
time they try to line up their pitching to finish
strong and make a postseason run.

of tough with the All Star Games so near the
playoffs because you know, our pitchers have done so well
that we have five or six guys throwing the game.
So you know, we're trying to maintain from where guys
are fresh for the All Starting games, thick and showed
the scouts what they've got. But also you know, set

down and get it all lined up. Uh, you know,
it's also about showcases these guys the futures as well.

Clippers lost to the Nuggets eighty one seventy six, tough
game for Lima's Xavier Simpson played only nineteen minutes, did

three to one and they missed the Summer League semifinals.

leader board after the first round. Second round play is
underway in Northern Ireland this morning. Lima junior golfers played
at Shelby Oaks. Yesterday, the boys sixteen to eighteen group
was won by Tys McLain from Delpha Saint John's. He

shot a three under sixty nine. The boys fourteen to
fifteen group was won by Leyton Goffney of Sydney, and
the boys twelve and thirteen year old group was won
by Kim Lefever of Fort Recovery. On the girls side,
the sixteen to eighteen year old group was won by
Zoe Merritt of De Grass and the fifteen u winner
was Laney White of Sydney. And Yesterday the OHSAA announced

that it will sanction a state championship event in girls
flag football beginning in the spring of twenty twenty six.
The announcement was made at a press conference in Canton
alongside representatives from the NFL, the Browns, the Bengals, and
the Pro Football Hall of Fame during the NFL Flag Championships.
