Speaker 1 (00:05):
Well, welcome into the Bonus Chapter Saturday edition. I'm Lisa
Dona and I'm here with producer Riley and we love
to just chat a little bit about books and ideas.
So what do we got going on today? Riley?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, so I've been keeping a list, like I said
last episode. So just I was thinking, if you had
to write a book, what kind of book would it be?
Would it be fiction, nonfiction? Would you write a biography?
Speaker 1 (00:30):
Well, funny you asked me this because I had this
conversation this past week with Billy Costap. We were sitting
in the studio and he was like, Lese, he goes,
you should write a book, And I was like, what
would I write a book about? And then I started
thinking about it and I jotted down some notes and
I think, I think it would definitely be a novel
(00:51):
and it could be loosely based on the book club.
And I was thinking, like four women that meet at
my book club and they developed this friendship and then
they decide to go on this trip together and during
the trip something really mysterious and.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Something goes wrong.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
Something goes wrong classic sort of it's kind of like
a Who Done It? Like it's one of the girls
in the group because even though they just met at
the book club, they don't really know a whole lot
about each other. Okay, And and that could be one
book idea.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I love that, right, I feel like that makes sense
for you, like kind of like white load to see
pretty little liars married.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
Much right, Yeah, but like sort of young and fresh.
So that was one idea you'd.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Have to, like, do you have Lisa's book Club trademarked?
Speaker 1 (01:48):
I don't know. I don't think so you should.
Speaker 2 (01:51):
You should be like you to get it, to get
it into this book exactly. Nobody else can use it.
That's awesome. So okay, So if it got turned into
a movie like dream Cast, okay, Also, would you be
in the book slash? Would you be like in the movie,
like a character of Lisa.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Well, I think that Lisa's book Club idea would be
that they met at my book club and the book
club was going on like a book club vacation or
some sort of book club rip.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
You'd be there hosting it, so I would be there, exactly.
That's so cool. Okay, So you'd be writing yourself into
your fiction book. I love that, so okay, So you
would probably be in the movie. Then who off the
top of your head, if you can even think, like
for who the main characters for up and coming or
(02:47):
whoever actors to play your four main girls, and then
who would play you?
Speaker 1 (02:52):
I think I really like Florence Pugh. I think she's amazing.
I think Olivia Wilde would be an interesting person to
have in it. I like, maybe somebody to play me,
like a Reese Witherspoon or someone like that. I think
Margaret Qualley would be amazing too. She was in The Maid,
(03:12):
which is one of my favorite series.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
I really like Daisy Edgar Jones, Yes, so good, and
who should be fun? You know who would be fun?
Riley Keo.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Riley Keo would be amazing, so fun. I loved her
in the Daisy Jones on The Dazy Jones and the
Sex Oh my god, I rewatch that.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I want to rewatch it.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Amazing. And then Camilla Moron too, who played.
Speaker 2 (03:37):
Oh gorgeous, yeah, gorgeous women. She could sing Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
I don't know. Yeah, I think there could be some
really great cast members.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
Little lots of chemistry.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Yeah. I love this.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Although Florence Pugh and the actor, I mean, the director
that you just said Olivia Wilde. Don't they have like
beef because they were working together on the Harry Styles movie.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
There could be absolutely t yes.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Drama on set and drama in the movie. So who
done it? It's like it's real life.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Just so many amazing actresses though, Like if you really
can dig deep?
Speaker 2 (04:15):
Yeah, if you had a movie made about you where
it's like you as like a young person too, do
you have like a young person actress.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
That you like, like how young?
Speaker 2 (04:25):
Just like through like you know, when you started the
show and stuff, Like if you had like a biography
like movie, what's that called?
Speaker 1 (04:35):
Like a biopic? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Yeah, sorry, like what is that called? Like? I honestly
feel like Daisy Egger Jones could do a good U.
I don't know why. I just like see you guys
like similarly, because you're both like petite, and you're both funny,
and you're both like kind hearted.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (04:55):
I've watched I've watched a lot of interviews with her.
I just really like her.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
I also think Min Kayling would be an interesting person
to have as a character.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
Speaking of Mindy Kayling, she's from the office, right, she is? Okay,
that's some i'thing of the right person. She just directed
the new Kate Hudson Show on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (05:15):
Now, which I'm watching. Did you watch?
Speaker 2 (05:16):
I watched it all the entire thing last Saturday or
this previous Saturday. So good.
Speaker 1 (05:22):
It's so good. Are you liking Yeah, it's like definitely,
don't don't miss it. It's really really good.
Speaker 2 (05:27):
I really like it. It's like it's bringing back like kind
of like a comedy. We haven't had like a good
comedy show in a while. Yeah, it definitely works. I
really like it. And I love Kate Hudson. She's beautiful
and she's funny. Yeah, just like Ulie's You're so sweet.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Yeah, I'm glad to see her back. I Almost Famous
is one of my most favorite favorite movies.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Such a good movie.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Yeah, and she was amazing in that. She's been amazing
in everything. How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.
Speaker 2 (05:54):
I mean, I was just talking about that movie with
my brother because I was talking about Kate Hudson. He's like,
I don't know who that is. I'm like, we'll have
we watch that because I've been trying to introduce him
to like rom comms, the classics. He loves mean girls.
We watched that together and he was like, no, I
haven't seen that, And I was like, Okay, that's on
the list, Like you have class, it's a classic.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Yeah, it's like The Wedding Planner with j Lo, you
have to see you have to see Bridesmaids, you have
to see The Heat with Melissa McCarthy.
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
I mean it's just yeah, these are like the must
see movies.
Speaker 2 (06:22):
Yeah. I think we did The Mean Girls, We did
easy A, we did She's the Man, like those that
kind of like Timeline. We did a bunch of those.
So that's going on the list. But I just sorry,
we completely went off track talking about movies and TV shows, right.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
That's what we do here on this Saturday edition. Yeah,
we can talk about anything. But yeah, so I guess
I need to get working on this book.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, start writing exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:49):
So listen to the Arin Gates podcast. She's amazing interior decorator,
so funny, so many great ideas. We loved having her
at the book club. And we have Charlemagne the God.
It's my next book club guest, live at a Memoir

talk to him about his latest book.
