(00:00):
Live from three months three to experiencein fabulous downtown Las Vegas. It's the
podcast that celebrates our city. Thisis Living Las Vegas. Happy Friday,
unless you're listening to this on anotherday, in which case happy in certain
day. Here it's Mojo from ninetyfive five The Bulls and Tony from ninety
three one The Mountain and we areready for some football. Yeah, man,
(00:23):
as the preseason wraps up, Raidersare playing. They're trying to sweep
their preseason wins, looking pretty good. And we have a lot of excitement
around Super Bowl too. Now,as the Super Bowl Committee, who have
been busy planning all of these activities, I've announced and rolled out the list
of events that are happening around thebig Game, which is, you know,
coming up in February here in LasVegas. Crazy probably going to be
(00:45):
the most exciting and coolest Super Bowland Super Bowl side shows ever. I'm
just saying we level things up hereat the entertainment capital of the world.
Sixty thousand people at the game orsixty five or whatever they're going to fit
into that, but those hundreds ofthousands of people that are going to be
in town visiting that weekend, andthen obviously for the community itself, there's
all these side events and things goingon. So when you watch the Super
(01:08):
Bowl and it's in name of cityPhoenix Land, every time the Super bowls
in Cleveland, you think, okay, well, it's the game, But
then what you don't think about wasall the other things that happened the week
before, for two weeks before, and all the planning that goes into having
that in your city. So nowthat it's in our city, we're getting
(01:29):
kind of an inside look at allof the stuff that goes into it,
all the stuff that if you're notgoing to the game, you still can
do to celebrate the NFL, celebrateyour love for the game. Just take
your family and go do something fun, give back volunteer and the Super Bowl
Host Committee as the leader of allthat. Yeah, have you guys ever
been to Super Bowls? No?I have not. No, you've been
to Super Bowl activities around the game? Yeah, it was a long time
(01:53):
ago when it was held in Detroit, which is where I'm from. But
I, like I said, Ididn't get tickets to the game. But
they were doing just like a lotof bar local bars around you know where
the field was just downtown. Peoplewere just getting boozed up. That was
a long time A God, thatwas a long time ago, dude.
I went eight years ago, notto the game. In San Francisco,
they had Super Bowl fifty and Iwent to the NFL experience and did the
(02:14):
whole thing. It's it's cool.There's if you're a football fan, there's
a lot happening. Obviously taste ofit when we had the draft and so
you had, oh yeah, youknow, all of the draft experienced stuff
that even if you weren't going tothe draft, there was like a whole
carnival football celebrate the NFL atmosphere ina gated, ticketed thing that you could
just take your family, walk around, interactive stuff, activations, photo opportunities,
(02:36):
that kind of thing. So wehad that when we had the draft
here. But no, I've neverbeen in a city when the Super Bowl
was happening. Will be my firsttime. They're looking for volunteers. Let's
start there. They need like seventhousand more, I guess, right.
Wow, So if you'd like tovolunteer, obviously reach out to I don't
know the website, is it.I should have had this information already that's
my bad. Super Bowl HC dotCom. I think let's go with that.
(03:00):
We have information, by the way, on all of these activities we're
gonna talk about today, on allof our radio station websites, five Bull
dot com, six five dot com, ninety three one, the Mountain dot
com, and Real one oh threenine dot com. We're associated with all
these iHeart radio stations here in LasVegas. There you go LV super Bowl
HC dot com. That's the hostcommittee website for people if they want to
(03:23):
volunteer. Thank you or I'm gladI still the exact url. I'll bet
if you google it, you're probablygonna locate it. And I can't promise
that comes with Super Bowl tickets, however, cool way to be a part
of kind of one almost once ina lifetime. Yeah, but we don't
see a lot of repeat opportunities tobe a part of a Super Bowl in
(03:45):
your city. You know. Iremember when we first talked about it coming
here. I think it was onthis podcast, and I was like anxious
thinking about all the people that aregoing to be here. But now that
I'm like, now we're kind oftalking about it, they're talking about what
they're rolling out, you know, before the game goes down, and I'm
just putting it out there. Idon't think I'll get tickets to go to
the actual game. So now Ijust I kind of want to be a
part of it to go. Iwant to go to the game. If
(04:08):
we get tickets, yeah cool. But if not, I'm gonna do some
of these activities that they have comingup. For sure. I don't think
I want to go to the game. I think we talked about two muple
weeks ago, like, I can'ttake my family. My family sits around.
We make a day out of it, right, we sit and we
watch and we eat. We doit in our house. If I can't
take all five of the people inmy little clan to the game, then
no, I'll just do it athome. Yeah, because then you're not
going to have that much fun.Well, I like to go on the
(04:30):
record is saying I'll take his ticket. Oh my gosh. If anybody who
has a plug is listening, he'sjust hilarious. Hey, you know,
I get capture imaging for image forsocial media manifestations. Real put it out
there. I'm putting it out there. First of all, you know,
viral you can go with some ofthat content. Dam just saying, dude,
I'm always thinking about it from thatangle. Sorry, I'll make sure
(04:50):
I have my kids have that's notterrible content. First, I content is
king. It seems a fame personality. It's your lifestyle. Know it seems
a little vain for me to saythat, knowing I have two small kids.
But it's only vain if you're hopingthat people like you for it,
Like, oh, he's Mojo,He's at the super Bowl, he must
be something special. If they followme, they already know that isn't a
(05:14):
thing. Oh stop, NFL.Let's start with the NFL headquarters. That's
gonna be a Caesar's palace. I'mcurious to know what made them choose that
venue, but that's where they're goingto be posted up their home base.
I'm sure there was dollar science attached. That's probably yes. Yeah, and
I get it. Look, there'sa lot of cool things opening night fueled
by Gatorade sponsor Allegiance Stadium. Soyou want to kind of see a legion
(05:39):
dressed up for the Big Game andall the events. I don't know they're
going to have access to actual players. No, they said there's gonna be
autographs from NFL players. I don'tknow if they're actually signing it or they're
giving out pre autographed items. I'mnot sure how that works. I'm reading
open to the public tickets to thegame, but you can go do this,
take your family. Now you're ata legion stating sort of seeing where
(06:01):
this historic event is going to allgo down. I mean, that's that's
access at a rate that is affordablemost families. Photo ops, tootoos,
players, the coaches, they're gonnabe there talking about, you know,
getting ready for the game, andyou're getting free Gatoray. They're gonna have
activities and like you said, photoops and merch opportunities thirty dollars. Those
(06:21):
will be available in December. Itsays in parentheses no direct access to Super
Bowl team players, so maybe otherplayers from other teams will be there previously
played. That makes sense. Theysay you can go to super Bowl dot
com for the most up to dateinformation as they start to roll out details
for that. Over at Mandalaid BayConvention Center, that's with the super Bowl
(06:42):
Experience, and it's basically a footballtheme park. And this is the I
did the super Bowl Experience in SanFrancisco. This is the thing I remember,
is you kind of some of thethings they do. You can actually
go through training combines where you gotto kick a field goal and things like
that, and like that. Boy, that's a lot harder think it is.
I believe it, dude, I'veknow. I mean you probably,
(07:02):
Tony, you played sports. I'mguessing I did not, So I did
play some sports. Kicking a fieldgoal is not easy. Oh man.
It made me feel if you havesome coordination, you know, probably put
the football, your foot on theball. Did you did you with I
did? I hit the ball?I made contacts. I didn't go very
far and I made contact. Youdon't realize it's down. H Yeah,
(07:25):
you gotta kick down, dude.We should all do this. We should
do our mock little thing, makeour own little football field and see out
of the three of us who cankick the football the farthest. Fun we
will post it up on our socialsat living LV pod. We're making that
happen. I love that. Mymoney's on Tony. Hey, you never
know, No, I don't know. It's surprised, y'all. That's true.
Kicking, that's true. But Ican throw it further than you know
(07:48):
we're kicking it. I'm certain ofthat. I saw you throw baseball at
the Aviators game, so I knowthat is true. It's different with the
football. With me. I'll justgo ahead and make sure you know I'm
actually pretty good at it. SoI don't have our listeners take bets.
I think that would be dope, all right. I love the convenience.
They're gonna have a chance to getautographs out there with current players and legends
(08:09):
are gonna be out there. They'regonna have an NFL shop all at Mandala
Bay Convention Center, so that wehave. I did the one for basketball
that was a couple of months ago, you know, when they had Summer
League here. They did a wholeNBA experience that was similar, same footprints,
same place, Mandalai Bay Convention Center, and that was really cool.
Like you said, activations ways thatyou can feel like, you know,
(08:33):
you're you're sort of a part ofthe action. Right, I'll give you
lots of stuff that you can buy. Yeah, yeah, sure, but
it is kind of and some coolyou know, photo ops and video opportunities
too. There is a pro tiphere, go go the Wednesday when they
open because that's the day. It'stwenty five bucks for adults, by the
way, always free for kids twelveand under, so that's cool. Thursday
goes up to fifty bucks, Fridayfifty. So the day to go is
(08:56):
the Wednesday. You want to getthe best deal on that. They're also
having a hard time convincing these peoplethat my kid is twelve because he's eighteen
difficult. My daughter's thirteen, andI've been doing that at certain things when
you need to be twelve and underto get in, and so far,
so good, but I felt bad. I took her on airplane last week
(09:16):
and when the person the TSA,asked her age, she was hesitant because
she knows dad's had to live.Gosh. Yeah, but when the TSA,
you know, when the daughter looksat you when they ask your age,
something's not good. That's a redflag. So I'm like, just
tell him your age, right, tell them your actual age. So yeah,
be careful about a little white light, which what others do you tell?
(09:39):
Seriously? Did you know I gotnothing else to say about this?
Right? No, that's another episode. Would say, shout out to the
TSA I've just flown with, andyeah, thank you for getting me through
that security. Those guys, thisis a complete tangent. Those guys have
the roughest jobs over all. They'lldeal with jerks and keep in serious face
the whole time, so you makesure you catch the bad guys if anyway,
(10:01):
So back to Super Bowl, thisNFL experience thing. Also, they're
gonna be trying to provide the bestfan experience in introducing a sensory Hour on
Thursday. For it's going to befully operational with the modified environment to accommodate
people with the different needs and sensorysensitivities. So I think it's cool that
they're doing that again as super Bowldot Com for the most up to date
(10:22):
information. They're all audiences. Ilike that. Man. Yeah, I
mean there's other things to the mediacenter. That's probably most people don't really
care about that, but for USmedia people, that's going to be at
Mandalaid Bay. They have the Superthe Kids Super Sharing, which is happening
in January at the Pearson Community Center. The Wednesday before that's the Soulful Celebration
(10:43):
happening at the Pearl Theater inside thePalms, which is a great venue.
I imagine those tickets are going togo fast. They go on sale December
first. You can go to SuperBowl soulful dot com. But if you
love music and football, it kindof brings those two together with a multicultural
program. So that's kind of neat. I like that. And then Ice,
what this has your name on?I had both of you, really,
(11:05):
because I know you both love tryingnew foods and that sort of thing.
Taste of the NFL. That's theKeep Memory Alive Events Center on Saturday,
February tenth, day before the SuperBowl. Yeah, some of the
country's best dude of both nationally renoundand locally loved. I bet there's gonna
(11:26):
be cheese. Do there better becheese? Gordon Rams are gonna be there.
That'd be cool. They probably willhook up with him or something like
that. Right, But all theproceeds support gen Youth, and I think
that's super cool. It's a leadingnational nonprofit nonprofit dedicated to helping school children
thrived by living in well nourished andphysically active life, and the funds will
be distributed to schools in Nevada andall thirty two NFL markets to help participation
(11:52):
in school meals among the youth atrisk and communities and help in danger in
student hunger. That's the hashtag.Yeah, I'm down for that, man.
Sorry, reading is hard. Tasteof the NFL dot Com is where
you go. You gotta be twentyone for the VIP tickets. I wonder
if they have like alcoholic beverages.I'll be like to say, is that
(12:13):
it's my deductive reasoning right there? And then the Super Bowl Breakfast at Caesar's
Palace. Oh breakfast? Yeah, super Bowl Breakfast dot com. Do you
want to be more about s BB baby s BB What do you have
that up over there? What? The thirty seventh annual event uniting Las Vegas
is business and civic leaders, sportsfans from around the country and football ledge
(12:35):
and Super Bowl Breakfast at Caesar's Palaceincluding Pro Football Hall of Famers, former
bart Star Award winners, and more. Super Bowl Breakfast dot Com And uh
again, you're buying tickets. It'sfor a good cause. You're rubbing shoulders
with some NFL greats. You're hangingout at an NFL event. You're not
gonna go to all of these things? Right? One? That speaks to
(12:56):
you, all right? If you'renot going to the game, pick one.
Pick two. Take your family tothe stuff that's cheap. Take your
wife or your girlfriend or both outto the thing that's expensive. Yeah,
and then because we don't know whenwe're gonna have another Super Bowl in Las
Vegas within ten years, I think, And it would suck to like see
on social media after fact. Ohman, I didn't know they were doing
that, right, would have beencool. And then you're kicking yourself,
(13:18):
So kind of peruse these options, and like Tony said, pick a couple
of them because you don't want tokick yourself after the fact and have fomo
from missing out on the opportunity whenit's here in town. You know,
Yeah, I've definitely changed my mindon that. I'm definitely gonna I'm thinking
the taste of NFL, dude. And by the way, this is just
the beginning. Like there's gonna beall sorts of and whether they're sanctioned or
not, there's gonna be sideshows. All local restaurants are gonna be hopping on
(13:41):
board, dude, maybe car washes. You just never know. There a
lot of a lot of people whowant to jump on these business types.
Now this big game day, don'tut shot, don't ut shops, dude,
massages, oil change deals, yeah, so many. No, seriously,
(14:01):
seriously guys, shoot people who fixthe elevators, oh beard, trimming
opportunity. I mean see yeah, gentlemen, thank you, thank you.
I'll be here all day, doa whole podcast. Corn shuckersidermous opportunities,
(14:24):
great bankers, accountants. Super Bowldot com, Sure, super Bowl dot
Com. That's a good point. It's a lot of what the point we
just made it is. It wassuch a good telling, everybody's gonna want
to jump on board. Yeah, yeah, I got so many landscaping Yeah,
(14:46):
alright, alright, super Bowl dotCom for all things super Bowl are
on our websites. We'll keep youup to date as we hear about new
things too, not only here onthe podcast, which you should totally be
subscribing to, but also on socialmedia. Yeah I fumbled last time.
Yes, so definitely Twitter, Instagramand threads x X. See here's the
(15:07):
thing, I don't know if Iwant to call it X because of all
of the existing audience that's already onthere, they know it as Twitter.
So why am I saying something thatmaybe some people who already follow us on
there don't know what the hell itis? And what do you call a
post on it? It's not atweet anymore. No, no, I'm
not down with the whole naming ofthe thing. I don't even know.
I refer to it as Twitter. They can do it that, I can
(15:28):
kick me off a thing. Iagree, so Twitter and Instagram at Living
lv pod, and you can expectexceptional content at Living lv Pod. We'll
be back next week with more pundsand more businesses to list. Practice
