Live from three months three experience infabulous Downtown Las Vegas. It's the podcast
that celebrates our city. This isLiving Las Vegas. All right, we
have a special edition of the podcasttoday. It's just Mojoe I sent TONI
are aren't the studio at the moment, but who I do have on the
line is coming to town this weekend. You might know him from the morning
(00:21):
show on ninety five five The Bull. He's nationally syndicated, goes by the
name of Bobby Bones. He's spentsome time on various shows, including American
Idol. He had his own show, Breaking Bobby Bones, which you can
still stream on Disney Plus. Andhe's doing a comedically inspirational tour this Saturday
Virgin Hotels, Las Vegas. That'sSeptember ninth, this Saturday. Yeah,
(00:42):
there are still tickets available. Butis he on line too? Okay,
yo, hey somebody, Hey Bobby, thanks for talking with me. I
will follow your lead wherever you takeme. Well, are you sure you
want to throw that out there?I'm just kidding. All right, Let's
start with the fact that you're comingback to Las Vegas this weekend. If
you know, I feel like besidesNashville. You spend more time in Las
Vegas than any other city, wouldyou agree? I agree with that,
(01:04):
probably four or five times a year. I mean, I'm coming twice in
like two or three weeks, andthen I got Raider fans. Now they're
in my family, so we spenda lot of time there. But this
show, and I'll just be honestwith you guys, this show, because
we're September nine, I'm doing mycomedically inspirational show at the Virgin Hotel and
Casino. But what happened last timeI was doing it at the Win and
(01:25):
they moved the show to a Sundaynight. I had no control over that,
so I felt bad, and Ijust want to make sure that I
can get out and do it onlike a Saturday night when people can come.
So that's why I'm coming back toVegas, even though I'm going to
be there for different things like everythird day to this whole year. Well,
you're playing out a beautiful theater,a beautiful space called the Theater at
Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is Saturday. You know that actually used to be the
(01:46):
old joint at the hard Rock. And I went into the hard Rock and
I would watch a show. Ithink I saw two shows at the Joint,
So yeah, I loved you know, I love that space, and
Jellyroll was just in here talking aboutit too. That's maybe more. He
proposed to his wife on that samestage. That might be a lot of
a lot of like weird history there. Yeah, that's true, and a
lot of artists and country artists haveperformed in that stage over the years.
(02:07):
Do you feel like Las Vegas crowdsare a little different than other cities in
America? I mean, whether itbe just enthusiasm or drunkenness or whatever it
might be. You know, maybenot drunkenness, but I feel like Vegas
crowds have a high expectation, likeyou better come and perform at a level
that maybe you don't perform anywhere elsebecause there is always so much great entertainment
(02:28):
there that you've got to come andraise it a level. So yes,
I do feel like the crowds.I feel like they expect more and I
feel like they get more because theyshould, because it's it's like going to
the Major League. Do you expectpeople to throw the balls faster and hit
the balls farther? And I thinkVegas is that, but it's always been
for me one of my favorite placesat to come. Well, you realize
by saying that you've kind of setthe bar even a little bit higher for
(02:49):
yourself. Now, you know,I don't know that anybody sets it higher
for me than me, but Ithink, you know, the show,
even if he came to the lastone at the win, the show has
gotten so much better. We youknow, are shooting different parts of it
for special that we're gonna put out. And I'm just super excited to get
back because I felt like a lotof people wanted to come to that last
show and they had to get theirtickets and go full refund because they moved
that show to a Sunday night. So it one out of guilt and too
(03:10):
because I love Vegas and I'm notso much talking about like the strip part
of Vegas, talking about like thereal people part of Vegas, like the
people that listen to this show inthe morning, like the real life people
working the jobs on the strip thatmay not, you know, go actually
hang out on the strip. Sowe're coming. We're gonna have a good
times. It's funny, We're gonnahave a great music. Will announce the
opener really soon, and you know, the show has really gotten to a
(03:32):
place where you can bring a kid, there's no bad words, and you'll
also laugh the whole show. Ithink, So, what do you like
to do when you come to Vega? It's like, for example, have
you seen that giant sphere thing inperson? Yet? All live up?
No? But I had a friendtelling me that it was not overhyped and
what I saw on the internet wasnot something that only looked cool on Instagram.
(03:53):
He was like, it is bizarrelyawesome when they turned this sphere into
and he had mentioned an eyeball. But they've also seen it as a basketball
during the summer league. So I'vebeen told that as hyped as it is,
it still can't It's not it's thatit's worth it to see it.
Yeah, it's definitely worth checking out. Your friend is right about that.
(04:14):
We got to figure out a wayto get your head projected on this sphere
somehow, some way, right, you know, my head is well,
it's probably two sides. My headis so big, like it's literally my
skull is huge. We've measured itbefore. They could probably just take a
real life size and put it rightthere. And everything would look just the
same. Well, I mean, hey, that would be a fun way
to promote the comedically inspirational show you'vegot here Saturday. Of course, those
(04:35):
that listen to your show on ninetyfive five the Bull know who you are,
probably know a little bit about theshow. But for those who don't,
explain what this show is and whatto expect. So it is a
comedy show. There'll be a littlemusic in there too, so it's clean.
You're gonna laugh. And it's alot of my life story, things
that I've learned along the way,why I've learned them, and how it's
benefited me. And if you knowa trailer park kid like myself can make
(04:57):
it to a stage in Vegas totell that story, that you can too,
And hopefully I'll be able to givepeople one laughs the two a couple
of tools they can use in thereal world and their real life to get
them closer to their goals as well. Love it all right? Well,
there are still some tickets available ifyou want to go see Bobby Bones and
his comedically inspirational show this Saturday atVirgin Hotels, Las Vegas. Inside the
(05:18):
theater, you can go to accessdot com or Bobby Bones Comedy dot com
to scoop your tickets up. Thereare still some available, Yeah, Mojo,
I appreciate that, and I'm lookingforward to seeing everybody out there.
And last night, I come toVegas so much because Vegas is so good
to me. So thank you againand really looking forward to September night.
Awesome. Thank you Bobby Bones formaking time for us today and joining me
(05:39):
