I'm probably the first person. Well, I can't say that I emphatically
agreed with that sentiment. But Igot to imagine that people aren't as excited
as we are on this podcast todayabout it. We're staying positive to to

all the negative stuff we've heard it. It's been going on for months.
Let's just put it all in thepast and stay positive for five minutes of
positivity about it. I'll give youfive minutes here about F one. Right
back to the well with it onthis episode. No, because I didn't
say the word. I cleaned itup. It's okay. So when it

comes to positive things about F one, Look, there are as a spectacle
coming for this thing. Sure,so we're going to talk about some of
the cool things happening around that.If you are interested in going through the

It's going to be a weekend andit's going to be a first for Las

Vegas, which you know we've hada few of those in the last few
years. We've got our first SuperBowl coming up, and now we have
our first race. The weather lastweek looked like we might have rain that
has gone away, looks like we'regoing to have rain. No rain for
now. It's a blind melon songson change this weekend. These things can't
change in the desert. But itwas interesting. We brought up the point
of what could happen in rain andyou know, I was thinking, wet

tracks. Is that going to beokay? And you brought up, oh,
we've had flooding in the past.Depends on how much rain, but
it doesn't take much before we gotsome standing water on the strip. And
so unless they've done something with drainagethat we didn't hear about, and we
seems like we heard about everything thatwas going into the construction. Unless they
changed the drainage, I don't thinkthey did. Enough rain would cause pooling,
which would definitely I would think shutthings down. But again, you're

saying no rain this weekend. GoodLook how positive we are. We are
beautiful forecasts. Frick yeah, Imean yeah, I mean the world's eyes
on Vegas will see a beautiful rainfree. I feel like it's already started,
like the celebrations. I mean,we're recording this right now on a
Tuesday in downtown Las Vegas, butI feel a lot of people are already
in town for the race. They'vealready started their celebrations. They're ready to

get this thing started. Man,well, they say New York is a
melting pot. Go out and listento the accents and the foreign language being
spoken in the streets of Las Vegas. The world is here for the spectacle
that is f one in Las Vegas. I will say the swiping has been
a lot more interesting on the datingapps. All these fine looking foreign men

on there. How does that work? I was thinking the same thing.
So you're saying that the white theswiping changes. Oh yeah, So if
people are in town. They couldbe using travel mode, they could be
you know, or anybody that comesto town. You find that they you
can discover them on the dating apps. Interesting, and so I've seen a
lot of interesting because European men closeproximity, they're all they're all in town

already. I feel a lot ofthem are. Yeah, Okay, so
I'm trying to find a European bubblebuddy over here. What's the app bubble
tender hinge? I'm trying to geton ray Tony. I think you have
an interesting perspective on it then,because I don't think a lot of us
were aware that they'd be getting inon a Tuesday for the But yeah,
they're coming to spend the week.Saturday, it's all over or really Sunday

morning, right, so they're goingback Sunday Monday. They're here for the
week. It makes sense they'd behere and everything starts on Thursday. Yeah.
So we were actually kind of preparingfor this before we hit the on
mic on our on our studio here, and it's funny, we didn't know
a whole lot. We had toask sure a bunch of questions like is
it just Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and when is the race or what
time does it start? You listeningto this right now may not realize it

doesn't start TLL ten o'clock on Saturdaynight. I pre show, I said
ten pm. You guys looked atme like you were shocked, like that's
the first time you'd heard about that. That's late. I get it.
It's in Europe. You gotta beable to you know, so what they're
gonna watch it like eight in themorning there, and in the States they're
used to. F one fans inthe States are used to watching on tape
delay because all of these things thathappen in Europe, you're not watching them
in real time in the overnight.So the next morning you get on and

it's the tape delayed thing, youknow, the race that you missed from
from last night. So that samething will be going on. I think
in Europe this is going to behappening, you know, not quite prime
time, but definitely during the dayfor most of Europe where the key markets
are. But here it's ten pmat night. Think about New York.
If you're an F one fan inNew York, it's happening at one in
the morning. You're not gonna watchit in real time. You're gonna wake

up the next morning and watch thetape delayed race. So it's a unique
aspect of it. But yeah,ten o'clock at night, people ask me,
are you gonna watch it? Yes, I'm gonna watch it for about
fifteen minutes before I fall asleep becauseI go to bed on a Saturday night.
I don't know, not very notvery often will you find me awake
at ten o'clock. But I'm guessing, and I'm going to go out on
a limb here. Locals that areexcited for F one and know all the

things you just spoke about because theyare F one fans are probably few and
far between. Most of them areprobably bandwagon F one fans that they're pumped
with the party. Yeah, dude, I'm watching because I'm a Vegas fan.
I'm not an F one fan.I don't think maybe I could come
up with one driver's name, theguy who won it all. That's the
other negative that some people said aboutthis Las Vegas Races. What they're competing
for has already been won, sothis is kind of like just a showcase

kind of thing. But I'm notcoming up with the guy's name. What
was the guy on Ricky Bobby?Was that John Pierre or something like that,
shaking Ricky Bob. That's the onlyone I know. Yeah, oh
yeah, you remember what I'm talkingabout. Yeah, the guy who played
Boratory. Well, American Express isthe official art baron Conor. That's there.
You go. A funny individual.He's very funny, and he nailed
I mean, he nailed the accident. He honestly prepared for that. They're

gonna be doing a whole bunch ofthings as the weekend approaches. They're going
to be uh let's see, rememberreading some of this over the North Coval
Zone presented by American Express is goingto have the fan experience there, which
is happening Thursday through Saturday. It'san immersive three story activation. You got

plus three's how you get into that. It's access only through reservation, which
I think most of the things arearound F one. It's adjacent to Coval
Straight. As drivers race to turnfive, they're going to have F one

Mark Ronson Journey's going to be there. Now Rogers and Kylie Minogue just got
to and you were just bragging aboutNole Rogers Rogers. Yeah, there's I

mean Steve aokj Balvin thirty seconds fromours. Jared Lettile might even climb our
Empire State Building, Swedish House.Mafia is going to be there, will
I am, Andrew Andre Day,Bishop Briggs there more. This is like
a paragraph form, so I'm tryingto scan through it here. So what
you have a ticket to the raceand it gets you into this ceremony,
this opening, this concert to openit up. What night is that concert?

It is on the November thirteenth raceorganized. I think this is throughout
the whole thing. Well, it'sat multiple locations. It's at the Wink
Grid Club, It's at the PaddockClub, the Skybox, the Heinekens silvermin
grandstands. So they're spreading it out, got it over multiple locations throughout the
racetrack. It is interesting. Haveyou, I know you both have seen

that aerial shot of I guess oneof the turns that they built with the
grandstands there. Yeah, I think, yeah, it's pretty. The aerial
shots all look great. It's gonnalook good on television. Look, here's
the thing. We've all been alittle negative. I say all pretty much
everybody I've heard from over the lasttwo months. It's more than we expected

from a obstruction standpoint. I thinkyou said last week, what was the
word you used, intrusive. Yeah, it's just been more intrusive than any
of us anticipated. We like tobe able to when we go to the
strip, drive down the strip andsee the fountains, but you can't,
and you haven't been able to forsix weeks. So it's all been a
little more than we expected. Andthen the paving and the construction of it

all, and the headaches that ithas caused in traffic, all of that's
been a negative. But look,all of that's a part of growing into
being a main location for F onefor the next ten years. So all
growing requires some patients. And whenyou get past the initial period of growth,
I think what's gonna happen is we'regonna feel like old F one fans

like three years from now, likein year three of the race, we're
gonna be like, yeah, that'sour race. Look how awesome it is.
We might even feel that this Saturday, but even in the lead up
to it, I think in yearthree, by then we're gonna be like,
yes, of course we have oneof the coolest F one races in
the world and it happens right herein our backyard. Of course we're going
to feel that way. But thislast two months it's been a lot.

Yeah, it has been a lotof inconveniences. And we we like to
tout that we are the entertainment capitalof the world, and we are undisputedly
right. Sure, we've I've heardpeople say that we're becoming the sports capital
of the world. I would argueof America. But this is an important
stepping stone to be able to saythat we are becoming a sports capital of
the world. The important stepping stonethere, so sports is entertainment, and

the entertainment capital of the world shouldhave an F one race, and if
it doesn't, you got to buildone. And the building of it is
sure to inconvenience some people for aminute, and when we get past it,
we'll all be F one fans.I just told you I don't know
an F one driver's name today,But in year three, am I going
to have a favorite driver or twofavorite you know what I mean, Honey
Rock and his jersey them. Youjust might have a few swipeing on bumble.

Who knows he's already got some favoritedrivers. Get them? Yeah,
yeah, thumb up them. Yeah, you could do that, or you
could swipe rights. Swipe right isa safe all right, well leap let

be interesting to see, one howwe react to what Las Vegas flexes and
surprises are going to be added throughoutthe whole spectacle of all of this that
we just don't know about in advance, or who travels here. I'm sure
any and everybody is going to behere, whether you're a celebrity, an

actor, an actress, dude,a drive like. I just think any
and everybody's going to be here.And here's another thing to think about.
There's going to be things on thesphere that we've never seen before. That's
your account on that I see frommy television right through my TV the window
to the world right there out CentennialHill, look enjoying it. Maybe I'll
even have a Heineken Silver as lookat that of the F one. It'll

be interesting to see what we dowith it and what how they take it
all down. Look, anytime youdo something new, there's gonna be growing
pains. There's gonna be things,learning curves that you have to get past
in year one. If this isgonna be a scale down version of in
terms of set up next year,the great, then we've got through the
pains in the first year. Ihope that's the case, and I'm gonna
stay positive and just say it atthat. Just hopefully they can get everything

dismantled and take it down so wecan get our beautiful strip back, you
know, in just the season.No, in time for Super Ball.
Oh no, we got the holidaysfirst, come on trees back in in
front of the Bolagio. I'm surethey will, like I would like,
is this unrealistic to say, hey, Black Friday is going to be like
a week after the race. Canwe get it back by then? Yeah?
Right? I don't know. Yeah, I will be complaining if it

takes them just as long to tearit down as it took them to put
it up, all the grand standsin the viewing areas and platforms and everything
that's obstructing view right now, ifit takes a long time to get it
torn down, I'll be complaining atthat. Well, they said, they
said when they tore down the treesat the Blangio that they will have new
trees up for Christmas or for theChristmas season. So that leads me to
believe like by the time, likein a far it's here, that's got

to all be taken down. That'stwo weeks. We'll see. You're all
the clock F one But a greatlook for our city. Let's all hope
for the best. I think Fone will become a point of pride for
people who live here, but rightnow it just doesn't feel like that.

I like, to your point,I'm glad they're including us in this,
you know event. That's a greatpoint. I didn't really even consider
the locals that are activated throughout allthe different ways they're bringing him in.
That's cool that they're doing that.Yeah, here's a positive. Okay,
if you want last tickets, they'reway cheaper than we talked, very true.
Or or you could spend seven thousanddollars to go to Club Sports Illustrated

to check out Shaquie O'Neil and DavidBeckham seven thousand dollars can get a selfie
with them. That's kind of cool. Geez. Yeah, okay, all
right, we'll see. I'm gonnawithhold judgment until after this is all said
and done. But it's it lookslike it's a Vegas spectacle like we normally
do when events like this come toour city. Let's just hope that to

your point, we can get transitionedout of it easy and less painfully than
it was going into it. Ithink we stayed positive. We said we

how awesome it was to see ourVegas Golden Knights in suits at the White
House this week for their photo op, and that's congratulation that made me happy

is a direct quote, but it'sthis. The idea of what he said
was that it was against all oddsthat we got there. Oh did he
say that something that was against allof It was a different clip that I
heard something like that. I listenedto the full speech from the President US
or something to that. He pulledthe chips stacked against this bitch. I

don't know if that was the exactquote, but it was the idea of
we didn't see that coming. Theclip I heard was so right on and
well written for him. Was Iwas just going to say, you know,
somebody wrote that for him, thatthat team has meant so much to
this community. And then he referencedon October, so you know, for
all the reasons that we know aspeople who live here. Yes, of
course that team has meant so muchto this community. And then to do

what they did last year, andlook, I don't know any f one
drivers names, but I know allthose dudes in the White House yesterday and
they had a blast Mark Stone forpresident because he took the podium and I'm
like, he kind of looks likea natural up there. I mean he's
Canadian. Maybe he's Canadian. Idon't know what I was going to say
that would prevent him from being inthe White House for that reason, maybe

he maybe he couldn't be president.If you're suggesting he couldn't, all right,
you're probably right. But they didn'tgive the microphone to William Carlson.
That was a safe idea. Afterthe parade, let's not do that.
He was sober, though it lookedlike the President was like, I've been
there since day one, and hewinked at William Carlson. Yeah, okay.

So we're happy for them and theycontinue to have a strong season.
And then we got and they're playingthe Washington team tonight to Capitals and it's
a tough road trip, obviously,a hard start to the hot start to
the season. They're the best teamin hockey, but a lot of road
games ahead. Most of the restof November, they're on the road.
There's only one more home game thismonth. So yeah, I mean that's

a tough thing. They've got togo five hundred maybe you know, maybe
better than that on this road trip. Well, it's good you said five
hundred because that is where our Raidersstand now. Look at the beginning of
the season, and I know thisis still a long shot, but they're
not out of contention for the playoffs. So you know, with our Super
Bowl being here, there have beentwo Super Bowls in history that have had
the home team have home field atthe Super Bowl, and it's still in

the cards for us. It's notout of the cards. Let me put
it that way. Yeah, fiveand five. You can make the playoffs.
From five and five. You gotto get hot, and you're gonna
have to beat some good teams.They've got the Chiefs twice, they've got
the Chargers, they've got a toughschedule. You've beaten some easy teams to
get back to five hundred, andthe Giants and the Jets. So you
five hundred go out and prove thatyou belong and then maybe you'll be in
the mix at the end of theseason. And since they fired their GM

and coach and bench Jimmy Garoppolo,the killing it dude. Yeah, everything
seems to be pointing in the rightdirection again. Some tough games ahead that
they'll have to play. They'll haveto play better than we've seen them play
to beat the Chiefs. Well,anything could happen. I'm just happy to
see them putting some wins on theboards. Yeah, they're fun to watch,

Sunday night football too? So withthe Chiefs two games, if we can

Killers. Gosh, that one band. Did that you say quote unquote first

say something about Las Vegas first band. That'll be in the Rock and Roll
Hall of Fame. I think they'llbe in the Rock and Roll Hall of
Fame first ballot. I know youdisagree. So they're coming out with a
compilation album on December eighth. Look, if you're a Killers fan, this
is supposed to span their twenty years. Can you believe it's been twenty years

of Killers music since Hot Fuss andso twenty years. I guess they're gonna
it's like their favorite songs of thetwenty years in order consequence, consequence,
what's the worst? Sequentially? Thereyou go in order, like, look
at me coming up with the worst? What's going on when they came out?
So yeah, I mean I lookingforward to it on a new song
on their December eighth. It's calledRebel Diamonds New Killers Music. This isn't

the greatest hits per se, it'stheir favorites, right. I think it's
like songs they've chosen for this compilation. They did a greatest Hits like ten
years ago, so this is thenext one, you know, at their

everybody loves, but maybe it'll bea special version or something. And the
greatest hits that was called hot Fuss. Right. Hot Fuss was their first

hating. I it sounds like hate. No, we've said this before on

a great band. I think theywill mee in the Rock and All Hall

Back is a solid eight for me. Okay, okay, and that was

have good taste in music. Ithink you're wrong about the Killers I have.

I genuinely have commercial taste in music, so I like songs on the
radio. I'm a big fan ofthe radio. And uh, that's that's
probably a fault to some people interms of how I view music. But
familiarity is important to you. Ifyou don't know it, and if you
can't sing along with it, thenit's not right. You know, for
whatever reason, it didn't cut throughfor you. That's probably why I put
Imagine Dragons on a bigger pedestal.Yeah. I think they're a great band,

and they've got hits. They arean excellent band. They've got more
hits. Songs that are bigger thanKillers are nine from me. By the
way, I'm a nine. Ihad no doubt I was gonna say ten.
I thought it would be ten.I thought you'd say ten. You're
a big fan. I probably onlyhave a handful of tens. I don't
know if the Killers are there yet. Okay, one more, what's your
favorite Killer song? Oh, it'simpossible to pick a favorite. I I

probably don't go Hot Fuss with it. I think, oh, it's not
impossible. My favorite song is iswhen You Were Young? Oh that's this
is perfect. You know what's theSamstown album more than I like the Hot
Fuss album. And there's probably sixor eight songs I've loved since the Samstown

album. So I actually, thisis going to be shocking to everybody in

Killer song. It's a fantastic song, stop, an unreal fantastic song.

played When we were Young the Killers. Yeah, so weird. You and
I agree on that song. It'sa great Killer song. You're right about

were young announcing the next day fornext year. Nice segue. We didn't
even have that in our notes.But yeah, they announced the lineup for

year three of When We Were Young. Yeah, and it's only one day
next year Saturday Actubern. They startwith one day, they'll out a second
as it sells out. You thinkthat's what they did last year and the
year before. They did three theyear before because of demand. So they'll
they'll timper demand based, they'll outof shows based on how many people want

who I'm looking forward to? Whogets an absolute solid ten? The used,
The used is good, They're underrated. Jimmy World Pier. I think
this year's lineup is a better lineup. I love Green Day, but this
year's lineup is a better lineup forme than last year's lineup. And I
don't agree with that only because theheadliners were bigger. The Blink Green Day

pairying was massive the year before SpringYeah, it was Paramore and My Chemical
Romance the year before, right,Yep, So you're bringing bringing back some
they're bringing back simple Plan, thebringing back all American reads, bring it
back May Day Parade. Yeah,so there is some resampling of what they've
had in the past with the lineup. But I get it, there's only
so many bands from that era,right right. People love it, so
why are you going to try toI don't know, reinvent it. Just

put it back out there again.People love it's loved. It's become one
of the best festivals of the year. It's a vibe, it's a great,
great event, and those it's that'sa cool venue too. I enjoyed
myself out there. But my questionis, speaking from my Warped Tour years
and experience, there's got to bea time when all good things come to
an end. So I'm just curiousto see how long it has a run

for at some point. Yeah,that's a great point. Well how long
did warp Tour went on for twoyears? Like twenty years? Yeah,
Now you take away the top lineof that lineup. You can just shuffle
reshuffle that over and over and overagain. But you got to have those
anchor bands. Yeah, And Ijudge it off of that and follow out
Boy. By the way, ifyou haven't seen Fallout Boy in a decade,
