wedding drama, siblings going at it.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
We got the good stuff.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
This week on General Hospital. Oh absolutely, I can't wait
to get into it. Who are the five most unlikable
characters right now?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
I'm gonna tell you who.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Can agree? Maybe not. I am a cheerleader for the
soap lit watch it my whole life started watching it
with my mom. You know, the days of Sean Donley and.
Speaker 2 (01:12):
Scorpio and a duke.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah. Absolutely, I remember Nurse Amy when I was a kid.
Broadcasting live from the Metro Court today. A lot of
a lot of action going on here at the Metro
Court pool. By the way, I see Cody and Mally
over there. I want these two to hook up. It's
putting some sun tannloation on. Hey, Liso, welcome back. Yes, okay, Oh,
(01:44):
it's so good to see Lisa. She always calls me Crasta.
I love Kristava. Okay, good see yep, can't wait. Always
liked her. Oh man, it's so good to have Lisa back.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
Britt. The rumor is it's going to be Britt her
daughter's back. We love that. Oh just a really good week.
Speaker 3 (02:13):
Man and Soap the Podcast brought to you by Volanino's Jim. Yeah,
go down there and get in a workout down at Volininos.
They're doing thirty percent off memberships right now. And you
might run into mister Corinthus down there right he's down
there working out and he's been very busy. But you
(02:34):
could do zen workouts there too. They've got all those
yoga stuff. Volaninos is good. So thirty percent off over
at Volanino's Gym. Oh this week. Now, we break these
episodes down like kind of like the good, the bad,
the in between and that kind of stuff. Pretty easy
to follow if you're just joining us. Man and Soap
(02:55):
the Podcast. Find us on Facebook, Instagram, tell your friends.
Trying to grow this thing? How about now. I don't
normally do them episodically. It's just not what I do.
Kind of like again, good bat in between stuff. But
(03:17):
I do want to say earlier in the week, it
was a great, nice refreshing start to the week with.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Brennan and Carly over there in the pool dipping their toes.
Brennan is such a softy.
Speaker 3 (03:30):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
One of the easier, easier.
Speaker 3 (03:38):
Characters to like here in Port Chawles's I thought this
was a great week leading up to the wedding. I mean,
you had drama going on everywhere. I mean, I love
the Vaughn and Joss scenes earlier in the week. They
were great, clearly really good chemistry going on.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
You know, I like here was good.
Speaker 3 (04:13):
I thought she had a great week. Porsche had a
great week laying out the ugly truth to Willow about
Drew's blackmail.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
I like Porsche when she's not blackmailed.
Speaker 3 (04:29):
It made me realize how much I like Porscha when
she's not under the Drew blackmail.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
She had the fire.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
She didn't care, you didn't give a shit, right, She's
just like, I'm going for it, this is my last
day whatever. She's going down big and Yeah, I thought
she was really good. Now is she gonna step down
as the co CEO of General Hospital?
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Because guess what?
Speaker 3 (04:58):
Brett, Hello, Brett. I don't know why I just said
it that way. Frit's coming back? Yeah, I think wasn't
Britt the co chairman or co CEO. M I loved
real good stuff this week. Another great week for Jason,
(05:23):
just his acting on the plane going down memory Lane
after he saw after he saw Bred he felt something
when she walked by him, right, maybe a scent, a
gut feeling. He couldn't get on the plane.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
But I thought the.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Scenes with him this week were really, really good, like
going down memory Lane and he was emotional he saw
Lisel and I guess those two are gonna have to
have a conversation at some point, right. But I thought
Jason had a really good, strong week. You a week
(06:05):
that was just I thought every episode was kind of
a banger this week. They were all like showy Otani
going yards center Field, boom, see ya. They're really good.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
Good to see Spinelli back.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
His scenes with Lisa are hilarious. James throwing that hatchet, uh,
good stuff. You gotta love Lisa. If you don't like Lizel,
you got issues. Right, you don't like Lizel and you
like Lulu, you're watching the wrong soap. I don't care
how long you've been watching it. You need to readjust
(06:40):
your priorities. Lisa is great for the show and it's
only gonna get better once brit comes back. A lot
of drama, the bad, and there's a lot of good.
Some of the bad this week Lucas really bad. He's
(07:04):
a stalker with this guy, Marco. It's creepy, dude, you've
been You've known the guy for like a month or two. Relax,
he's not the love of your life. Lucas is all
to do well higher than now, high browing everything. Lucas
is very hard in my opinion to root for. Is
he a top five on Lechael but character, which we'll
(07:26):
get to. No, but my god, he's hovering inside that
top ten. He's annoying, little tattletale. Yeah, he's kind of
growing on my list. I just I find him very annoying,
like let Marco breathe, my god, a little possessive. He's
(07:46):
just he's just I think overacting again this week too
from Lucas. Wherever that dude is. He overacts a little bit.
But yeah, Lucas is starting to get on my freaking nerves.
Lulu and Lizo getting into it right there. I'm looking
at the spot where they got into it earlier in
(08:07):
the week, as Lulu smiled since she got out of
the coma, because she's annoying.
Speaker 2 (08:15):
You've listened to the podcast before, I've talked about it.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
She's annoying. She is. Uh, I don't have to tell
you that she's gonna be on the top five unlikable
characters because you know that she is. Go back to
your coma, go back, go worst recast ever, worst recast ever, unlikable,
nothing redeeming. So I always got that RBF face going
(08:43):
yelling and everybody turning.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Red, go back to sleep?
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Right, gosh? Uh so, so really good stuff with Willow
and Drew, two characters that we really don't root for. Right,
(09:13):
also very unlikable. Right, that wedding goes through this week? Wow,
I'll be bad. I mean, I don't know. I don't
know what's going on. We laughed, and oh man, it
was a It was epic with a Willow and that
look for walking down the I don't think anybody expected
those doors to open, especially Nina. I thought I thought
(09:39):
Drew actually looked sane this week. He came up very
sane compared to Willow, figuring out that maybe she is
the one. After his confrontation with Nina where Nina accused
him of stalking Daisy, they've all kind of put it together.
Willow is obviously on their radar, Drew kind of knows it.
(09:59):
He'll right through it and he'll give her a pass
because he wants to marry her. But I think he
wants to marry her so he can bring maybe stability.
He's the wrong guy for stability, clearly. But those scenes
were very good. The flashback scenes were Nina and Drew
have figured it out that it is Willow most likely, Hey, Willow,
what you doing fourth of July while I was gone
setting up the question? That was really good, good scene.
(10:21):
I kind of liked Drew that way, Like I like
the way Drew handled himself when Nina confronted him. He's like,
what are you talking about? I mean, Drew's like on cocaine.
I'm sure he's all I mean all day. He is
such a hyper character, right, yeah, crowd. Everything is like
so dramatic with Drew. It's like, lay off the blow.
(10:43):
But I thought he had a good He had a
good It's true.
Speaker 4 (10:47):
It's true, dude.
Speaker 3 (10:48):
It's like an ant eater, it is, you know he
But it was a good response. I would never do
that to each child. Yeah, call him cocaine Andrew, no,
but it was really good. Drew was really good. Like
(11:11):
I think you Needa kind of believed him. That was
a really good scene that I that I liked, Sidwell,
Marco Sonny. General Hospital is better when Sonny and Tracy
are in most days of the week. Like without Sonny
(11:34):
or Tracy, I feel like there's not enough to like.
I mean, I'll always be locked in, but you need
those two characters a constant. They don't even like each
other on the show, but it the show is better
when those two are on the show. Sonny had a great,
strong week a da Turner, did you miss me? Good stuff.
(11:59):
Let them get to have the right they got the chemistry.
I want to see it. I want to see it.
Sonny is still a leading man. Don't tell me he ain't.
Don't tell me he ate given the key to Lucas psycho.
Lucas stalking Marco. Even Carly called him out right. What
(12:26):
did Carly say? You barely over Brad, You're on the rebound.
Now you're all over this guy. Yeah, no doubt about it.
I agree.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Lucas is becoming more annoying by the episode.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Home and Heart good stuff this week, Lois and Brooklyn
the reunion courtesy of Lucy Co. No, that didn't go
over well. They sold out of their Deception product and
then Brooklynn fires her mother a mother Lois is brook
(13:12):
Lynn a top five unlikable character. You don't have to
stick around and find that one out coming up here
in minutes. I'm gonna get to that one.
Speaker 2 (13:26):
Yeah, Home and Heart. That did not go over well.
Speaker 3 (13:28):
I want more Home and Heart though, having said that,
I really like Home and Heart.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
Oh, more good stuff this week. Nina Willow.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
She was about to break the news to Willow, then
Curtis came in and.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
Boom dropping bombs.
Speaker 3 (14:01):
Right, Willow another one hard to root for? Right, very annoying.
Speaker 2 (14:14):
Again high browing everything when.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
She's just a cheater, right, she cheat on Chase's cheating
on Michael. She's just kind of a She's kind of
her moral compass as shit. Right, hard to feel sorry
for her. I think I kind of like seeing her broken.
She deserves it.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
I like seeing Michael frive and Willow lose everything.
Speaker 3 (14:34):
Don't care. I have no sympathy for Willow, and I
don't have sympathy for Nina either, you know. I mean
good scenes though with Nina and Willow. Those actresses really
brought the juice this past week. I thought Willow may
(14:56):
have been overacting a little bit. Last the previous week,
but I thought this week she was really good good
or I Needa had emotional scenes, you know, Drew Drew
having fun with mother and daughter on the side. The
whole thing is a fiasco, and you knew it was
gonna come to you knew. Look, we knew it was
(15:17):
gonna be a disaster once once Willow found out, and
Nina made all these inroads right to work it out
with her daughter, so all that might be for nothing.
All right, Oh, some good, It was a good floral week.
I was reading on one of the publications that they
(15:39):
were talking about the flower game on gh is always
on point, especially during Willow and Drew's doomed nuptials. Someone
was commenting on the cherry of blossom trees set against
the arrangement of those red and pink flowers ethereal setting
in the chapel. So they were saying, whoever's in charge
of the flowers on your hospital deserves some special recognition.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
So, yeah, you know, Lizel, it's great to have Lisel back.
Speaker 3 (16:08):
She's done some things, yeah, of course, but her just
her presence alone is NonStop entertainment.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Right.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Kathleen Gaddy is so great. She just every scene she's in.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
She shines. They would do well to keep her long
term now, right and now I touched on this before,
but I am loving Portia, the non blackmail Porsche going
for broke, let's go right, good stuff, really good Porsche
(17:04):
had just had a great wee. Handling you with kid
gloves is clearly not working, and she was about to
tell Willow the truth. That was really good. Right. I
love the scene too, Vaughn explaining to Josh how powerful
a man Jack Brennan is. Right, great quote. He was
(17:25):
in a prison jumpsuit complete with socks and sandals, and
now he sits right there WSB Bureau chief chair message.
Speaker 2 (17:35):
Since I believe.
Speaker 3 (17:39):
Martin and Tracy, can we just get those two together?
Great scenes? Another great line, Martin, You're like a weed.
You know that. Martin goes as in tenacious, hearty, difficult
to eliminate. Tracy goes unsightly and good for absolutely nothing. Oh,
(18:00):
great scenes. They have great chemistry, really good. Martin's funny.
He's a good side character of the recurring that we
like to have. Right.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
It was nice to see Molly and Cody at the pool.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Christina, though I think Christina's full blown psycho, like I think,
full blown psycho. Oh now, I used to defend her.
Now I'm like, m hm.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Hmm, full blown psycho, full blown psycho.
Speaker 3 (18:35):
Five characters on the show that are unlikable, and this
is I want to do them in order. I want
to rank them. Yeah, you can do the ranking. If
you're hearing it. We kind of we'll put them together
at some point. Lulu unlikable, Lulu, go back to your coma,
(18:58):
please do us all of it. Drew unlikable, right has
potential to get off of this list, but as of
right now, unlikable, manipulative, very unlikable. Brooklynn unlikable, whine selling
(19:35):
her mother out. Now, these are characters that are unlikable
right now. They can get off this list, but so
far Lulu, Brooklyn, Drew, those are three very unlikable characters.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
Willow unlikable right now.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
Right, I already said it hard to root for.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
I want her off this list.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
Believe me, I know what you're thinking, Oh, he doesn't
like although all the women are unlikeable. Well, I mean,
I'm just it just happens to be that three or
four of them were on this list. Porsche was going
to be on this list when I thought about it
earlier in the week.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
But bye bye, She's off the list because I love
me some unblackmailed Porsche and Ay and a law down,
no Willow, and last but not.
Speaker 3 (20:32):
Least, unlikable. You know, I was gonna put Ezra on
this list. He is unlikable, but he's not important enough
right to be on uh to be on this list?
Unlikable right now? Lucas. Lucas just annoying a little, channel
(20:58):
the condemning a little with Go to the CODs, Go
to the cops. I'll send me.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
Shut up, shut up, you stalker.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
You're good to do? Oh your highbrow everything? He did
that shit with Brad too. I can't forgive you, Brad.
I cannot forget Like, shut up. I thought Carly did
a good job. Putt him in his place, let him
move out. Moving with Marco. He's madly in love with Marco.
I like Marco. I liked Marco and Lucas together for
(21:32):
a while. Now it's getting annoying. So those are my
five unlikable characters right now. And the common denominator that
I have with those five characters is I find it
very difficult to root for them right hard to root
for Lucas right now because he's just so emotional. It's
(21:54):
hard to root for Cocaine Drew right, hard to root
for Willow, never rooting for Lulu. If I said that's
the worst recast ever, what the heck were they thinking? Oh?
(22:16):
And Brooklyn unlikable right now? Not rooting for her because
she just fired lois right? Her and Chase? God, can
there be anymore? We'll have to save that for next week.
But who are the most boring couples Chase in Brooklyn?
(22:37):
If we had to break it down over the last
few years, they are right there at the top. Because
if I had the top five characters that are just
kind of meh, Chase is right at the top, just meh.
He's just there, not unlikable, don't want to root against him, right,
He's just meh, Chase Kai meh right, just there, meh. Uninspiring, right, pushover,
(23:10):
sold out Trina and Curtis and the family. Next week
we'll do I think next week we'll do top five
likable characters. You know, people forget here's some in between. Okay,
(23:31):
we had some good, we had some bad. Now in between,
here's the thought, what are they gonna do with Britt
and her Huntington's disease. I think she's coming back as Britt.
I think it's confirmed, right, So how are they gonna
address that? How are they gonna address her death? And
as Lee's will know that her daughter is solef right?
Coke out of a can is so good, you guys?
(23:53):
Oh my god, I hear they're gonna make coke with
the pure cane sugar, now, like the stuff you get
in Mexico. Let's go so good coke in a can.
You know what's really really bad? I discovered this diet
coke out of those plastic bottles. Horrible. Yeah, just horrible.
But I've recently made a change in my life. I've
(24:17):
gotten off of the Coca cola and now and I'm
not drinking the sugar. But when I do, I'm all
about the pepsi. Baby, I am all about pepsi in
a can. They serve it here at the Metro Court.
They know, I see it right there, beautiful blue can.
Pepsi's a little sweeter than coke. I can tell the different.
I'm a pepsi guy, so but uh, anyway, you guys,
(24:37):
just that was my ad d shiny ball just shifting
boom like that. Talk about Lisa Britt right to Coke
pepsi um studs liesel No, you know, does she know
that Britt is alive? What's gonna happen on Monday? I
(25:11):
tell you what, Lucas better be careful. He is spinning
out of control. You better mind his business with Sony Sunday.
Aint putting out by that?
Speaker 4 (25:24):
Right?
Speaker 3 (25:25):
I heard somebody say watching him go after Sonny is
like a chihuahuah barking at a pit bull. And he
really should start raining it in.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Yeah, rein it in right now? You're kind of unlikable, right, you.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Know, I don't know what's going on. We've gotten Britain,
We've gotten Liezel, but are we waiting on Erica Sleezak's
arrival in Port Charles?
Speaker 2 (26:00):
Who's she gonna be?
Speaker 3 (26:03):
If the writers are smart, they're not, They would make
Harmonica quarter made like it's such a slam dunk Leslie
Charliston has been dead for what a year and a
half now they have not addressed Monica's death. That's getting stupid.
There was a letter to Monica that Martin found. We
know what it said. I don't think we do here's
the smart play. If I am writing for this show,
(26:26):
and I should, I would make Erica Sleezek she's age appropriate.
You bring back Monica Quartermaine. I mean, it's such a
slam dunk. Pretty sure they won't think of it, because
they don't think when they're writing, most of them. Now,
if you're just listening for the first time and you go, man,
this guy's harsh. I'll always give the writers.
Speaker 2 (26:48):
Credit though, too, when they're due, but I'll knock them
when I have to.
Speaker 3 (26:51):
Don't care. Make her Erica Sleezak, Make Harmonica more Monica
and Tracy and the fighting Monica can miraculously recover upstairs.
Speaker 2 (27:05):
Why not make it Erica Sleezak.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
If Britt is coming back, make her Monica. I urge
you make her Monica. You guys, your writers are listening
and you should be by the way to this podcast.
You make her Monica. It's a slam freaking dunk, right.
(27:31):
I thought Molly looked great this week at the pool.
This is nice to see her kind of out of
her comfort zone. We're so used to Molly being buttoned
up in corporate and she always looks great, but it
was nice to see her relaxing, putting that suntan lotion
on Cody.
Speaker 2 (27:49):
What's gonna happen there?
Speaker 3 (27:52):
I mean, there's just.
Speaker 2 (27:57):
So many questions, Like.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
It's like, here's where I'm at too, Like how are
they going to bring back Britt? Like how is that
going to work? Explain that to me?
Speaker 2 (28:11):
Because like.
Speaker 3 (28:15):
Who is she? What is she doing? Is she working
with Sidwell? What's she doing?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
She part of Dalton.
Speaker 3 (28:29):
Again? Does Liezel know she's alive? I mean, bad scene
this week with Lucas banging down the door when he
already had the key to it. I thought that was really.
Speaker 2 (28:55):
Are brand and Carly gonna make it? Are they power couple?
Speaker 1 (28:57):
Now?
Speaker 3 (28:57):
I don't think so? Right?
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Do you like Sonny and Ada Turner together?
Speaker 3 (29:05):
Good chemistry? Don't they? Britt?
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Jason gh needs a power couple?
Speaker 3 (29:09):
What do you think about that? M Good stuff? Man,
I can't wait to get into it. I am so
pumped up for our favorite city and upstate.
Speaker 2 (29:19):
New York, Poor Charles baby.
Speaker 3 (29:22):
I mean, there is.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
So much going on and I love that Lisol.
Speaker 3 (29:29):
Is back, Britt is back, baby, Lulu go back to sleep.
Who's Dante gonna end up? So much good stuff man
and soap the podcast guys. Find us on Instagram, Find
(29:50):
me on Facebook. Love to have you on as a guest.
We're back next that's right. Cannot wait. I'll be broadcasting
live from the Metro Corkpool here next week. You know
that we continue to talking about our favorite city in
(30:11):
upstate New York. Poor Charles baby. See you next week.
