Speaker 1 (00:05):
Yes, Man and Soap.
Speaker 2 (00:10):
The podcast is back, Yes after ten months. The last
podcast was ten months ago. Had to get some things
in order, had to get my house in order. But
things are good. It's good to be back broadcasting live,
of course, you know from our fair players the metro card.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Oh, I see.
Speaker 2 (00:35):
Sidwell over there, well, so Sid. So it's been ten
months and I'm excited for our first podcast of the
year and the goal here is consistency. We were named
the top fifteen podcast by feed Spot, which is really cool.
We actually Man and Soap came in eighth and I
(00:56):
think there's like twenty soaps, so we only dropped seven year,
so that's really good and thank you Defeedspot for that.
As we continue to climb the ranks from a weekly
podcast moving forward, where the goal, of course is consistency,
and we'll have that now.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
And it's good to be back.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
I love to break this podcast down into segments, pretty
easy stuff, stuff I love, stuff, I don't love, some
stuff in between. We'll be joined by Michael in a
little bit. You know, you don't have to agree with
you on everything. I am listen. I am a cheerleader
for General Hospital, but I also have honest dialogue about
it so we can agree to disagree on certain things.
Speaker 1 (01:38):
I'm just going to keep it, you know, keep it,
keep it real, you know, and we.
Speaker 2 (01:44):
Break these podcasts down for the week previous week. We
don't do episodic podcasts. I let other podcasts do that.
We yes, again, we are cheerleaders for the soap, but
we keep it real. Let other podcasts do that. Let
them be cheerleaders raw ras and they're great at it.
That's what they do. But Man and Soap is a
(02:06):
podcast that I have been watching General Hospital pretty much
my whole life. Okay, came up with my mother watching
General Hospital. My mom used to watch Another World with
Mac and Rachel, and I was a little tiny ballbuster
that would be there for lunch watching my mom. So
I've got soaps in my blood hence Man and Soap
and I am.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
It's good to be back.
Speaker 2 (02:29):
I'm super pumped up General Hospital right now? My god,
What is going on? Ketamine, body shots, spike punch, blackmail?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
What is going on? General Hospital is gone to the
dark side?
Speaker 3 (02:42):
And I like it.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Kenny Meine looks fun, it looks like a blast. True's
doing body shots. Get me some Kennemine, so they've gone dark.
I don't really mean that, Michael, I mean look pretty
(03:07):
good though, you know, and listen, we're all addicts. I'm
an addict, Okay, I need to go to rehab. Michael
is an addict.
Speaker 1 (03:19):
He needs rehab.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
We all need rehab from the drug code General Hospital
because they just punish us every week and we take it.
We take it in like an addict, like we're on
that Kenemine baby doing body shots in the studio. We're
addicts to General Hospital and that's what makes it great.
And we all need rehab because I read this stuff
(03:43):
online about all the bullshit he Hank damp, but you
know what, we all love it at the end of
the day, so quick complaining. I keep it real with
n day. Like I said, I'm a cheerleader for my
favorite soap. So things that I like on the soap
for right now. I like the young storylines, risky as
(04:07):
it may be. I like Joss agent Jacks, as Brennan
calls her, love it. I think it's the best storyline
they've had in years. Because God knows, they've hasked some
shit once recently. This one is refreshing. I like Joss
as a WSB spy, even when she's sticking in the
(04:29):
back of Emma with that jump drive. I like the
storyline of Joss as a WSB agent. I like Brennan.
I love Brennan. I didn't like him at first. I
don't like recasts.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
This is one.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
I like the other guy, the Australian guy. But now
I love Brennan. I love his relationship with Jos. This
storyline truly excites me. And coming up, I will tell
you the two best recast in General Hospital recent history,
recent memory, and the two worst recasts that I believe
are currently on the show.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
So we'll get into that in just a little bit.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
So I do I do like what's happening there with
the WSB storyline. I think that's really good. Things I
don't like. I don't like what Okay, I am bored
as shit with Chase in Brooklyn. I am up to
here with that storyline. That storyline has gone on forever,
(05:34):
invented general hospital fashion. They're just milking it, milking it.
Nobody cares. Nobody cares. It's a snoozer storyline. Now we
have to deal with we have to deal with Chase
didn't have swimmers, so we can't have a baby, and
now we have to do with the adoption drama on
top of it. They're gonna stretch it out and stretch
(05:55):
it out because that's what the writers do. I questioned
the writers on this show to.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
The writers, do you agree with the others? I do
the writers?
Speaker 2 (06:03):
Like?
Speaker 1 (06:03):
Do they know about General Hospital? They know about the history?
Speaker 2 (06:06):
They know that you know, the Kellys was the bot,
it was Rubies before that. Do they know that Alcazar
was a great villain in Atlanta? Cass and I was
a great villain?
Speaker 1 (06:16):
Like, do they know? Is it in their blood?
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Because I feel like some of these writers just write
the storylines to write storylines. Are the legit General Hospital fans?
I don't know, because these storylines go on and on
and on forever and we are in the middle of
one right now. So that is something that I don't like. Okay,
(06:39):
what else do I like? Well, I mean, I gotta
admit I kind of like.
Speaker 1 (06:48):
I like a lot.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
My new favorite character on the show is Cody. I
like Cody. Cody is Superman. He rescues Molly on a horse,
he saves Rocko's life from food poisoning, or from alcohol poisoning.
Put a cape on Cody right yeah, Cody's legit. He's
(07:14):
kind of a lonesome cowboy.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
And we need.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
A super couple on General Hospital right now, because General
Hospital thrives guys when there are super couples. General Hospital
thrives when there are villains. They can invite me out
to LA right now. I could write for this show
(07:40):
for one year. I'll turn this shit around. I'd have
General Hospital on the top two, if not number one,
in one year. But they can't afford me. I come
out with storylines and villains and super couples where these
writers just can't figure it out. I don't like that
Jason and Anna, which have amazing chemistry, trust, friendship, all
(08:04):
of those things equal couple, and.
Speaker 1 (08:08):
They've missed the mark on it.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
They had that moment, that kiss and where was it
Africa somewhere and it was over.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
They're supposed to be working together, inca.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
Hoots together, and there's just nothing that they could have
capitalized that would have been great.
Speaker 1 (08:22):
Gh needs to shake it up. Name me one super.
Speaker 2 (08:27):
Couple on the show right now. Oh you can't, yeah,
because there are none. Name me one villain on the
show and don't tell me. You said, well, you can't
because there aren't any. And that's where GH misses the mark.
No super couple. Who's the super couple?
Speaker 1 (08:45):
Is it gonna be Brendan and Carly? Come on? Is
it Chased in Brooklyn? And come on? Portia and Curtis
are done. That's gonna end real bad for her.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
They're skewing young and there's no super couple. Now, Molly
and Cody. Could they beat the next super couple on GH?
Speaker 1 (09:14):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (09:14):
Maybe they let Valentine go, and in Valentine had good chemistry,
they let him go. God, I hope it's not Jason
and Sasha. I hope it's not Michael and Sasha. When
Michael gets recast or we keep hearing Michael's coming back.
It ain't said well and Lucy, I tell you that much.
(09:35):
It ain't Kaye and Trina, It ain't Laura and Kevin,
it ain't Mac and Felicia. Where's the super couple? Every
successful soap has a super couple. GH does not have
a super couple. And I know this is a rant,
but it is what it is. I'm speaking the truth.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
Where's the villains? Where's sirens? For no Gone?
Speaker 2 (10:04):
Where's Valentine gone, Where's Julian Jerome gone? Where's Nell gone?
Where's Resume gone? Gone are the ratings? Because there's no
villains and every soap needs a top villain and a
(10:24):
top super couple.
Speaker 1 (10:26):
Neither are on General Hospital right now.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
So you tell me where the villain's coming from, tell
me where the super couple is.
Speaker 1 (10:33):
That'd be a good poll. Who would be the next
super couple? Michael?
Speaker 2 (10:36):
We should put that on the on the ground or something. Okay,
that'd be a good one. Who's the next super couple?
Because Gis really needs it. There's no supercuple and there's
no villains. I mean, I guess you could say Ava
is kind of back in her villainous mode, which I like.
Speaker 1 (10:49):
But the problem that I have with GH is they
just don't push the button anymore. They don't push the buttons.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
You know, they were great at pushing the buttons when
they had the Alcazar and the villains and the Helena
Casadines and the super couples like the Anna and the
Scorpios and the Lukes and the Lauras and all that.
But they're gone, So I have no idea what the
heck is going on. I don't know if these riders
know what they're doing. Get me out there for a year,
I'll turn it around. Things else I liked last week.
(11:26):
I like Lois stepping up defending Geo from Rocco's food poisoning,
which Dante was acting like a total douche Canoe, I mean,
super extra. Dante was super extra this week blaming Jason
telling him how to parents like, and Jason, of course
(11:48):
has taken it to heart. But I thought Dante came
off a little elitist and easy for me to say.
I don't have any kids, so I don't know what
his position is, you know, as.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
A dad, I can't. But I thought he came off
a little much on Geo, his son.
Speaker 2 (12:03):
By the way, I thought Lois was gonna spill the
beans when she was defending Geo when.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
She goes you don't know who he is, he's just one. Nope,
didn't happen.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
Did the writers miss something there?
Speaker 1 (12:22):
I don't know. I like Professor Dalton the animal Killer.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
I like this storyline because now it changes things because
Emma is not really in it for her scholastics. She's
in it because she's a little bit of a nutbag. Protester,
animal lover kind of person, which fine, we love the animals,
but she's a little bit of a nutbag on the show,
Emma is, but she's doing it because she wants to
(12:52):
bust the animal testing. Apparently that Professor Dalton is doing.
I like that storyline because it ties in again with
my face. Favorite storyline going right now. The best storyline
right now is Agent Jax and that blonde haired surfer dude.
You know they're hooking up. They're hooking it up. I
(13:19):
like Geo. I thought Geo was strong this week while
taking a responsibility for Rocco and Danny, but also kind
of keeping firm with Dante aka his father. Boys, shit's
gonna hit the fan when that comes out. Huh oh,
the fallout is going to be massive. Let's look at
the fallout you've got obviously, Geo, Dante, Brooklyn lois the
(13:43):
grandmother the whole quartermain drama, Sonny. There is a lot
that's gonna go on when that happens, but we probably
won't know until twenty twenty eight. Be you guys, the
way they stretch these storylines out.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
This will go for a year, right, But I did
I like that a lot I thought that was a
very good, a good moment for Geo.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
It may sound like I don't like a lot, but no,
I mean that's I like a lot more than I
don't like right now, I think having said that, and
I come down a little bit on the writing sometimes.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
But remember we're addicts.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
Addicts need to be fed, and we are fed every day,
every weekday, and we just inject it. That's what we
do because we love General Hospital. Right they're skewing so
young on the show right now. Josh Josh is a spy,
(14:49):
Roco gets alcohol poisoning, Kai has surgery. The main storylines
on General Hospital revolve around kids. I'm engaged, by the way,
and I'm not knocking it at all, but those are
the main storylines it'll least over the past few weeks.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
And the Geo drama setting up.
Speaker 2 (15:13):
They're making Geo, by the way, he's gonna be the
future of that show. They're setting him up as the
heart throb. You can already see he's got rid of
his baby fit. You see how Buffy looked on the
ocean of the beach. There buff Geo playing the violin
just a matter of time before he starts playing the
Violin with his shirt off because Gas loves their beefcakes.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Okay, they do.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
They love Drew swimming with his shirt off, Geo with
his shirt off, so many others. They're any skinny guys
on your own, like they're all ripped. I would not
fit in well there to go to Sunny's gym and
hit the bag. But I think they're setting it up.
(15:58):
It's going to be called Geo Hospital in about a
year and a half.
Speaker 1 (16:02):
Watch how that how that works?
Speaker 2 (16:06):
Blackmail, Oh my god, blackmail, go lore right, Drew blackmailing
Porsche and Porsche, Brad blackmailing Porsche, Brad blackmailing Drew and
not black but he was gonna bail out Drew, but
(16:26):
more blackmail, blackmail, blackmail, blackmail in gh I kind of
like it.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
Porscha's in trouble though. Willow, like a little puppy, went
right back to Drew and all fairness. That was out
of character for Drew to be doing body shots and
whatever in acting creat he was drugged. That's gonna come back.
Nina and Willow are not long for mother daughter of love.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
Trust me on this. It is going to.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Once it comes out that Nina and Porsche teamed up Carly.
You knew about it, man, it's all It's gonna be
pure anarchy and I can't wait to be right there
in the front row. But yeah, this young storylines are
dominating General Hospital today and again, no problem with it.
(17:18):
I just want villains. I want you know, I want
super couples. So we'll see what happens. Is Sonny a
leading man anymore? Like?
Speaker 1 (17:32):
Is the eleading man? I thoink it looked great this week.
I know you have the heart surgery.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Look refresh, though, who do you pair them with? Wait,
we're we're Sonny and Carli are dead. They're done, you know,
But that power couple will emerge, you know. Can it
be Cody and Molly. We'll, we'll, we'll, We'll see what happens.
(17:58):
But they're there's a super couple in there somewhere. It
ain't chasing Brooklyn Snoozefest.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
It's just not. And we'll get our villains out of
the ashes. That will come a villain. They need to
bring back a villain.
Speaker 2 (18:14):
Okay, g h again thrives when there's villains, where's asume
we need asme back bring back?
Speaker 1 (18:19):
Now that's Willow's twin why not.
Speaker 2 (18:25):
Hell, Bring back Saves fas on Nobody Dies in General Hospital,
Bring back Julian Jerome.
Speaker 1 (18:34):
You know, all right, coming up in just a little bit,
I'll let you know my.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
Two worst recasts, and I think the two best recasts
as well.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
This is madd and Soap and you can enjoy it
wherever you stream your podcast.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (18:52):
And again thank you to feed spot for putting us
as a top fifteen podcast on the web. I think
we were seventh or eighth, Michael.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Where were we eighth? I think we were eighth.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Yeah, and there's like eighteen or twenty podcast so to
come in eighth after only droping seven last year, that's
pretty good.
Speaker 1 (19:13):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
They must have liked your takes as they should.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
I guess as they should because you gotta keep it real.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
That's that's that's true.
Speaker 2 (19:23):
That's the difference Like the other podcasts, and they're they're
great at what they do. They can be cheerleaders and right,
but we have to we have to keep it real
as well. We have to have honest dialogue. So all right, Michael,
welcome back after ten month hiatus as well. What uh,
what have you got for us today? What are they
(19:43):
saying like on the forums or online, are you are
you getting any good stuff or any any rumors and
anything that you want to.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Share with us today not rumors, but mostly people are
bagging on Dante for having his overreaction.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Okay, so I wasn't wrong in that I thought he
was a bit much.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Oh oh, a bit is on the is the on
the statement of the year, He was over way over.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
I think Low was kind of maybe set him straight
a little bit, though, But I think he was a
little hard on Geo, his son, which is going to
be very interesting.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
But yeah, I think you're right.
Speaker 3 (20:25):
I think you're right, but you know, he's he's blaming Geo, but.
Speaker 1 (20:32):
I like Geo's fault.
Speaker 3 (20:34):
But I want to know how he's going to react
when he when he finds out that jos was also there.
Speaker 1 (20:44):
Oh that's a good point too. And Emma, yeah, I.
Speaker 2 (20:49):
Don't know if they'll go and I don't know if
that they'll go that deep, but maybe I mean, well.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
Like Josa is going to find out that Rocco is
in the hospital. Yeah, she's gonna probably saying his passing
about the house the hospital or something, right, and then
and then Dante's is gonna find out like, oh, you
were also at the at the party. Let mean maybe
blow up on you now.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Yeah, Dante can't blow up with the best of them.
Speaker 3 (21:20):
Yeah, good acting, but like, well they kept her cho
choices were not good.
Speaker 2 (21:28):
Well, it's like, you know, even Lulu said, you know,
she said you were a little bit much.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
You also were a little terrified. But she goes, you
were terrified, but yes, you were a little bit much.
Speaker 3 (21:37):
I get the whole like, oh, like my son Almissaia,
I'm gonna get like, yeah, no, I gain, he's got someone.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
I get it.
Speaker 3 (21:49):
But to be that mad.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Well and I don't like him and going to Jason
and telling Jason had a parent because Jason did take it.
Speaker 3 (22:00):
To heart though. Yeah, but also Dante is not start parandom.
He he canceled on the boys. They're supposed to go
baseball game and he canceled to just talked to Lulu
about her problems with Brooke Brooklyn.
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Yeah, no one cares.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
Now, I opened up the door and those two ran
with it to the party. I would have done the
same thing.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Let's go, let's go party.
Speaker 3 (22:26):
I mean if I if I was in the series,
like okay, that cancels us. The Yuri is supposed to
take us, but we don't want to hang out with Yuri.
Speaker 1 (22:36):
I did good to the baseball game, Michael. You ever
watched that guy on Instagram?
Speaker 2 (22:41):
He's like, so he's like a football player from La Hey, man,
what's up?
Speaker 1 (22:44):
That's Churi?
Speaker 3 (22:44):
Yeah. I mean he's basically.
Speaker 1 (22:46):
Me thank you to mannon SO podcast.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
He's basically fucking uh.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Brick Yeah, yeah, yeah, Brick. How about bricksaving the Day?
It was good to see steven A.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Smith Brick coming back and shooting that as what would
be a set. I thought that was really good. That
was a good moment. And Brennan and Sonny kind of
Brennan kind of I don't know if.
Speaker 1 (23:06):
He's doing it for Carly, but they kind of.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
No, he's all doing it for Carly, but.
Speaker 2 (23:12):
Yeah, and Brennan and Jason, and you know, Brendan's kind
of showing a little bit there because because he really
likes Carly.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
Yeah, but I yeah, I think when Bennon just found
out that Jason's all was also there, Yeah, like he
hurted the funk up because he knows the history with
with Carly, but also he's trying to true was what
(23:42):
wasn't he trying to recruit Jason.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
Yes, he wanted Jason because he wanted Jason's skill set.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I'm looking too far into this,
but I think that's also the motivation that he wants.
He still wants to be cut deacon.
Speaker 1 (24:01):
Maybe maybe he's playing kind Maybe. I mean, that's that's
not a bad that's not a bad scenario. I could.
I could see that, but I don't know.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
It's gonna be very interesting because I also read a
rumor that there they might be molding Geo to take
over for uncle Sonny, you know, the family of business,
the you know, the mafia, Violin player.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
I I don't know. I don't know how that would work.
Speaker 3 (24:25):
The talk online is that Michael is gonna come back
and take over.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Okay, now that's interesting.
Speaker 3 (24:32):
I can see that.
Speaker 2 (24:33):
And he's gonna have a vengeance too, he's got revenge
in mind. Willow Drew, Yep, that's interesting. That's an interesting take.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Is that yours? Or is that what they're saying.
Speaker 3 (24:41):
That's what they're saying.
Speaker 1 (24:42):
Okay, you're not that good, are you?
Speaker 3 (24:44):
I'm not? I really, but Okay.
Speaker 2 (24:49):
I could see Michael. They need to make Michael because
the old Michael was a pussy. Yes, let's call it
what it is. Oh okay, So yeah, a new Michael,
new recast, which I think is good. I wasn't crazy
about the old Michael, just snoozer boring.
Speaker 3 (25:06):
Speaking about snooze, how dare you call the potential couple
of Molly and Cody.
Speaker 1 (25:16):
I love that?
Speaker 3 (25:17):
No, No, that is a snooze fest.
Speaker 1 (25:19):
You think. So she's buttoned up. He's a ship show.
Speaker 3 (25:22):
Now, she's so button up. I want to fall asleep
every time she's talking, Like I'm I'm just doing my
job right here. I'm like, go just do something else.
Be mad at Cousina like that was you're a keptic death.
Speaker 1 (25:39):
You're not wrong there. I mean I I like the
chemistry because I like Cody.
Speaker 3 (25:42):
Yeah, like, no, he's he's fine. I love Cody.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Cody's great. He's very likable.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
Him and James and the scenes with him and the kid,
and he's good with kids.
Speaker 1 (25:51):
He loves horses. He's kind of a schmuck. Yeah, but
he's easy to root for.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
He is.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
If my mom were sosh, She's like, oh my god,
he's such a hunk. Another shirtless beefcake that you'll see
at the Nurses Ball. Let's take a back.
Speaker 2 (26:04):
How many how many shirtless guys the Nurses Ball is
coming up? Let's name some of the shirtless guys. Who's
gonna be I'll throw a name to you.
Speaker 1 (26:11):
You tell me.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
Shirtless or no shirt Cody, no shirt, shirtless, geo.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
Shirt. Wow, he's gonna be playing in the summer. He's
gonna be now, he's gonna practice a fire. Of course
he's gonna be in shirtless and he's like, oh, it's
too hot. All right.
Speaker 2 (26:33):
Let's see who else will be shirtless at the Nurses Ball.
Don't want to see it, but Lucas no, hope, not
all right? Is Brad gone? He's partying with models? Another
weird exit. Drew pays him a million dollars and he's gone, Well,
who knows what's gonna happen.
Speaker 3 (26:48):
I think he's gonna say because his aunt is gonna
make him say. But also, I don't think Drew is
gonna ever give him his money, got it. I think
he's gonna give him like a couple of hundred thousand,
but never. No.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
I think it was a million. Oh okay, maybe not
to be paid in one Yeah.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Interesting he's never gonna see that.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Million Brad's walking around in designer threads though. Man, and
he's jealous over Lucas and Marcus.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
Marcos Marcos shirtless or shirt at the Nurses Ball.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
At the Nurse Ball. No wait, no, I think after
the Nurses Ball him and uh Lucas Lucas are gonna
hook up in the whole room.
Speaker 1 (27:28):
Okay, I could see it.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Yeah, I could see that definitely, because you get a
few drinks in Lucas. He's sloppy. Yes, he gets on
like he's so sloppy. He's there for the taking. You
get a few drinks, You get a few drinks in Lucas,
It's it's game on.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
So him and Marcus Marcos Marcos, I don't know, I
don't know where they're You have to.
Speaker 3 (27:49):
Think about Marcos. You think he's gonna perform?
Speaker 2 (27:52):
Yeah, well I think they they brought in Marcos, like
and we don't really know a lot about him right now.
And you know, it's like him and Lucas are weird
together in Miami.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
It was a little weird, Yeah, but there they were.
They met out randomly.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yeah, no, no, I know, yeah, but it was just
it was just the way it happened. And then he's
Sidwell's son, So Sidwell who's funding the Nurses Ball Sidwell
who's going to be a performer Marcos because GH wants
us to like Marcos. He is a singer, a dancer.
I think we looked it up on YouTube. Not the
best song. I wish we had a clip of it
we could play. Don't know if we could play music on.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
Here, get that's all good. It was a quality of
famous songs. I think we could play it well. I
guess I don't think he copylated those songs.
Speaker 1 (28:35):
I hope not.
Speaker 2 (28:36):
They were horrible, but I think he'll shine at the
Nurses Ball, and we're gonna end up going, oh, I
like Marcos is gonna want to do that. So we
lost Dax, so there was one shirtless performer gone because
he he was going. I'm trying to think if we
have any more, I'm looking forward to the Nurse Ball.
This would be your first Nurses Ball.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
They have it last year. But when they started watching,
which would be uh a year next month, I think
that's where they started watching.
Speaker 2 (29:06):
So I want to talk about the worst two recasts
that I believe.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Are on General Hospital right.
Speaker 2 (29:11):
Now and let's just call it what it is. Lulu
needs to go back to a coma. Yeah, Lulu is
a pain in the ass. She's been nothing but a
pain ass and she woke up. I'm gonna call she
is just I forgot the other Lulu, Emily Ryan. I
believe her. Lulu would have been a lot nicer. And
(29:33):
that's the problem when you recast the other Lulu wouldn't
have been able to be this harsh, but this particular actress,
this Lulu, she's harsh. Emmilu Ryan would not have been
I'll probably butcher her name. Her character was too nice
and wouldn't have become vengeful like this Lulu. I think
she's been nothing but a pain in the ass. Put
her back in the coma for a few more months,
(29:55):
for a few more months, few more years. Yeah, I
mean she's always got it attitude and she's.
Speaker 1 (30:01):
Conniving the old It was not like that. This is
a really bad recast.
Speaker 3 (30:07):
I haven't I've got how what happened to Charlotte. But yeah,
the first like three months of her being awake was like,
I have to find Charlotte. I will do anything to
find my daughter. I love my family's I don't. I
don't have the son to get without the son, I
(30:27):
only have a daughter. And now we don't see anything
about Starlette. She came back for like what's Yeah, she
came back.
Speaker 1 (30:34):
For Classic Gone, Like I like Bounteing's.
Speaker 3 (30:39):
In jail, so she's not hanging out with.
Speaker 1 (30:41):
Bounty Nicholas in Pentonville. Will see him every once in
a while. Where is he? That's the problem, And that's
my thing with the writing. They come and go I
boradically and I mean you can't. I get it too,
but it's like be consistent though, yeah, yeah, you know so.
Speaker 2 (30:56):
Definitely one of the worst recasts in reason Memory and Drew.
This recast has been bad because you don't remember. But
Billy Miller's Drew would not have been this kin iving
rest in peace, Billy Miller.
Speaker 3 (31:07):
Well there was. There was also a theory about a
couple of months ago that did you were singing now?
Is not the Drew? It is someone replaced them.
Speaker 1 (31:20):
No, I'm not, I'm not. I don't know about that.
It's Drue. But then again, who the hell knows? What
do you mean? Like is an imposter? Yeah? I don't
buy that.
Speaker 3 (31:30):
Like that's why, like wasn't his like blood that test
results in his safe.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
That's a good point.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
I don't like what was in that safe. What was
in that safe? Yeah, I can't remember what was in
this wrong, But but like nothing came out about it,
Like there was a whole document that you're not wrong.
That not Nina. She found it and she gave it
(31:58):
to Carly, like, oh, we can do use this. No
one nothing came about that. No one knew. I don't
know what was in that envelope that.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
Well those okay, so yeah, but again, Billy Miller's Drew
God bless us, Aul would not have been this.
Speaker 1 (32:17):
You don't remember him, but he wouldn't have been this.
Speaker 3 (32:20):
He wouldn't.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
Just yeah, no, he would not have no, because you
just go by, just like Emily Ryan's her character. Her
portrayal was nicer. It was sincere. Billy Millers was nicer.
It was sincere. They couldn't have pulled it off. Which
leads me to the best two recasts in recent memory
is Molly and Christina. Those are two epic recasts, maybe
(32:47):
the best. Now we've had three Carly's on the show. Again,
this is a little bit before your time, but we've
talked about we like the girl the Davis girls. Molly
and Christina know how to carry scenes. Christina is a
shit show and she's great at it. Molly is buttoned
up and annoying, but she's great at.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
It, even in her commercials.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Yeah right, and I know she's great.
Speaker 3 (33:12):
Oh, I think it is.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
I saw Molly's commercial.
Speaker 2 (33:15):
But those are the two of the best recasts we've
ever had. I don't think the other originals Molly and
Christina could have played the depth of these roles that
these two, because these two were women where the other
ones were younger girls. In all fairness, but to me,
that's how you break it down when it comes to recasts.
Speaker 1 (33:33):
Those are the two best recasts in recent memory, Molly, Christina,
and to me, the two worst recasts, of course, are.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
Lulu and Drew. So we'll see and both and all
four of them are involved. Because I got news for you,
Molly and Christina are heading towards a sister Splitsville at
some point as well. Once it gets out that Molly
or that Christina cut the brakes.
Speaker 3 (33:57):
I give it after the nurse nurses ball, Okay, I
could see it, because that's gonna come out yep, because
I have a.
Speaker 1 (34:07):
Lot of drama the Nurses Ball this year as well.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
I don't know what Eva's gonna do when he loses
her money again.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
I do love what's going on though. I like the
Dulest credit card or whatever it was called, the Dole.
I love Cody at the bar. What is the dot?
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Like, Yeah, that's a weird scene, Like who talks about
other people's credit cards?
Speaker 3 (34:28):
But it's not like, what like one of the most
famous credit cards he can have as a bitch first
in like a a black card or something.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
It is a black car.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
But they're they're getting up. Ava's getting those Martiniz. Yeah,
her and Rick are good together. Now they're not super couple.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
Good, No, they're not. And do you do you see
a super couple?
Speaker 3 (34:49):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Right now.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Geo and Emma, I mean you think they're kind of
shaping it and kind of molding it that way for
this future. I think, so I can only take Emma
in small doses.
Speaker 3 (35:03):
Real.
Speaker 2 (35:04):
Yeah, she's a little annoying. She's that snooty, protesting kind
of annoying vibe that I don't know. I like, I'm
gonna tell you. I think Geo and Joss in the future.
It's just they work together, Geo.
Speaker 3 (35:16):
And Joss, that they work together.
Speaker 1 (35:18):
You don't think it'd be a good couple.
Speaker 3 (35:19):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (35:21):
Lucas and Marcos, I keep Brad in the mix. We
love Brad, Brad and his wet lips. Brad has always
got wet lips. He looks like any every time I
see Brad, I want to put a town on his mouth.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
I really, I really don't like.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
So you think right now, and this is interesting because
you're new to it, You think right now that the
potential super couple is. It's not Cody and Molly, but
you think it is.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
You think it's.
Speaker 2 (35:51):
Geo and Emma. Do you think Anna has a super
couple left in her? Or did it die with Valance
team with balancing?
Speaker 1 (36:02):
Does Sonny have leading.
Speaker 2 (36:03):
Man left in him? He's got one last hurrah? And
if he does, who's the partner?
Speaker 3 (36:10):
I don't think so, because I don't see any more
story allines for them.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
They're running out, not for Sonny. Sonny is fine. I mean,
don't don't you don't don't pay attention to what you're ready.
He ain't going anywhere.
Speaker 3 (36:20):
No, no, like no, that's what I think.
Speaker 1 (36:22):
No, that's not the word that.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
No, that's not what.
Speaker 1 (36:26):
He ain't going anywhere.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
I know, I know, I mean I hope not. That
would be a disaster for the sofa then there, you know,
to do.
Speaker 3 (36:33):
That without like he's one of those characters that when
he eventually retires from the business. Yeah, they can't recast him.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
They're they're not going to No no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
No, you don't recap.
Speaker 2 (36:49):
No, no, you can recast Michael because that guy was
car but not, no, you cannot. There are certain characters
that you just can't recast. You can't recast Ava. We'll
save that for next week. I want to talk about
characters that you cannot recast, and I think that'll be good.
We head in the next week, we'll review everything again
and talk about maybe characters that you can recast, characters.
Speaker 1 (37:11):
That you just you can't recast.
Speaker 2 (37:12):
Yeah, and actors that I think would be good for
next week as I like to talk about some actors
that I think they should fade out. I've got one
in particular, I'm going to drop a bomb next week
on it that I think they need to write this
character off.
Speaker 3 (37:27):
Also, I would say the list of characters. You can't recast.
It's going to be small. Okay, it's gonna be I.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
Know, I agree, I agree. All right, welcome back. We're
doing this thing now.
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Hopefully we are feed spot top fifteen podcasts number eight
hey eight out of eighteen and only dropping seven last year.
Imagine if we did them every week. Yeah right, we'll
be out in LA. Because I am convinced they need
to listen to this podcast.
Speaker 1 (37:52):
The writing.
Speaker 2 (37:53):
If you're writing for General Hospital right now and you're listening,
listen to everything I say, because ninety five percent of
it's right nfar.
Speaker 3 (38:01):

Speaker 2 (38:06):

out to get me out to La. Pay me a
handsome salary. I'll get you from three to one in
a year. I'll get you twenty five to fifty four,
three to two maybe. But they need to be listening
to this podcast because I am so sketchy on the
writing right now.
Speaker 3 (38:24):
I was as All I can say is like, more brick, Please,
more brick.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Oh wait, need creepy brick.
Speaker 3 (38:30):
He needs a storyline, he needs a romance, he needs
to be a main character. I need Stephen A. Smith
to leave ESPN and pursue his acting career.
Speaker 1 (38:42):
He's making twenty five million dollars a year on ESPN.
He ain't going anywhere. Could barely before they they have
the actors coming go every other week. You can tell
her on a budget.
Speaker 3 (38:52):
I mean he was only there for like two episodes
and he went off to it got I think I
think he got a little creepy.
Speaker 2 (38:58):
He gets a little creepy with with with with with
Jordan though.
Speaker 3 (39:01):
Yeah, that's gonna happen because you're a guy doctor Idah,
I love Isaiah again. Yeah he's not He's not going anywhere.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
So all right a lot.
Speaker 2 (39:16):
Oh, it's getting so good, Michael. What's gonna happen on
General Hospital? And the next week are they gonna finally
h Is it finally gonna go.
Speaker 1 (39:31):
