Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three, it's Marcus and Corey
and it's back y'all. Second date update and how did
this go?

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Corey?

Speaker 3 (00:08):
Well, this is a dating segment where we talk to
you about a first date, like where you went, you know,
have you got along, if there's chemistry, and then we
forgot why you're not getting a second date.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Hopefully we can get your date on the phone.

Speaker 1 (00:20):
Yes, let's bring Lisa on. Everybody's had a Lisa. Good morning, Lisa,
good morning, Hi, welcome, thank you. We want to talk
to you about this guy Ross. So yeah, let's talk
about how you guys met and then, as always, let's
run through the first date and see if we can
craft some clues. Eye because I understand that he's ghosted,
so let's talk about it.

Speaker 4 (00:41):
Yeah, and I don't I don't only get ghosted too,
So it's like I don't know what happened here. I mean,
that's why I wanted to like get to the bottom
of it.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
You are the third person in the last week who
literally has said I don't know how this happened. I
am awesome.

Speaker 2 (00:55):
I don't get ghosted thank your parents for.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
Giving you good social emotional bass.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
I don't know about that, but okay.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
Anyway back to you being amazing. So how did you
guys meet?

Speaker 4 (01:08):
We met unhinged, and we're like, we do have some
people in common, and our conversation it was really cute,
and then we both were like we were sort of
messaging back and forth. We both love movies, and I
go all the time and so does he, and so
we've both seen pretty much every new movie that's come
out in the last few years. Like, I don't know,

(01:30):
it just made sense for us to go see one together.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
Sure.

Speaker 5 (01:32):
It was like a nice gateway for him to ask
me out and be like, oh, let's go see a
movie that was pretty.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
Obvious and nice.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
What movie did you see?

Speaker 5 (01:41):
Thunderbolt?

Speaker 4 (01:43):
And I don't I mean, I know, I see a
lot of movies, but I don't ever really care about
superhero movies as much like I like blockbusters, like I
like Top one movies. But this one was just I
don't know. This one was like a team up. So
it was fun.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Okay, did you guys eat beforehand or anything?

Speaker 5 (01:59):
Yeah, we met up early to have like an actual
date and talk and then he said he was excited
to find someone who likes movies as much as he does.
He's like a fan of things, because he said the
last early dated wasn't a fan of anything and it
was boring. So I was like, yeah, you know, I
love stuff.

Speaker 2 (02:16):
That's great, that's great. But now what the movie ended?

Speaker 5 (02:19):
And then he acted like he had to get home immediately.
It was like all our chemistry had been shut off.
It was over.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Here's what I'm thinking. Ross loves movies right right.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
He decides he wants to make one of his own,
and he wants to do something like Platoon. You know. However,
he's having trouble with the cast the special effects, so
he decides to shoot gorilla style.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Cut to he and the cast are lost in the jungle.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Oh wait, tropic thunder.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Tropic thunder.

Speaker 5 (02:47):
I did it.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
That's three in a row. I know.

Speaker 1 (02:52):
I mean, Lisa, it's possible. Why else would he ghost
to you?

Speaker 5 (02:55):
Honestly, if he's not yet dat Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Real talk. We'll call we'll call him, we'll figure it out.
Just take a deep breath, hang on the line. Okay,
we're gonna do it right after this. Let's say it's
Second Date Update, Star one O one three, more variety
from the two thousand.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
It's the nineties and today it's Star.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
One on one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing
Second Date Update. We've got Lisa on the phone. So
they went to go see a movie. You guys went
and saw what was called Thunderbolts. That yeah, the new
Marvel flick.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
Yeah it was awesome.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, okay good. The only clue we had that something
I had gone sideways is that they were all cool beforehand,
and then the second the movie was over, he bounced
and it was almost like a light switch had been
shut off. So let's call him and try to figure
some things out. Go ahead and mute, and let's give
him a shout.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
Here you go, Hello, Hi, Mass, speak with Ross please?

Speaker 6 (03:50):
Uh yeah, this is him.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Hi Ross, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one one three.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
What's up Ross?

Speaker 6 (03:57):
What now?

Speaker 3 (03:59):
Hi?

Speaker 2 (03:59):
We're we worked for a radio station.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
It's Star one O one three and we do a
dating segment and someone called us about you. They went
on a date with you, and we were hoping we
could talk to you about it on the air.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Is that okay?

Speaker 1 (04:10):
That's a lot at once.

Speaker 2 (04:11):
I know, do you mind.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Being on the radio with us?

Speaker 6 (04:15):
Sure, I guess, okay, thank you, thank you.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
So the lady in question, her name is Lisa, and
she said, you guys went to the movies. She had
a blast. We kind of know something went wrong because
she feels like after the date, you just kind of bounced.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
Yeah, so we're just wondering.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
I wanted to get your take on the date itself.
How did it go for you?

Speaker 6 (04:35):
It was okay, I guess. I mean we had a
good time before the movie, okay. I mean during the movie,
it's kind of weird. I just it was weird.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Did you say it was weird?

Speaker 6 (04:45):
Yeah? She just I don't know. She just was talking
like loudly during the movie and like asking questions when
I'm trying to concentrate and watch the movie. I mean,
that's stuff I can get past too. That's I guess
everybody watches of movies differently. You know. The weirdest thing
was her laugh. She has this crazy laugh that's like
so loud and obnoxious, like people were staring at us

(05:07):
throughout the movie because she just it didn't even sound human.
She just had this crazy laugh to her and I
don't even know, like how she cannot hear it, or
like if she has any self awareness, but like it
is abnaxious.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Zoe was the laugh that got you that.

Speaker 6 (05:22):
And all the damn questions.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
All right, Wow, I'm feeling a little personally victimized on
this one. I too have a very unique laugh, and
I've just learned to lean all the way into it.
I've actually it's funny you say that because I've actually
went out with a guy and we were watching my
big fat Greek wedding and he shushed.

Speaker 2 (05:39):
Me really laughing. Yeah, that worked out for you. Well
guess what it wasn't Jeff, my husband.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
So ross. I don't want to be delicate here, but Lisa
is actually on the phone listening right now. Okay, I'd
like to bring her on, Lisa, not the ambush you.

Speaker 4 (05:57):
Yeah, I guess. I guess I'm in here, but not
because of my laugh. Like I'm just embarrassed for you
judging my laugh. That's so petty. Who cares? Honestly, I
love laughing other people laughing makes me laugh, brings me joy.
This was a funny movie. I'm sorry I asked you questions,
but you know, all the superhero stuff. You were nerding
out about all of the superhero stuff, So I don't know.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
It was funny this movie etiquette. You're not trying to
talk the whole time. There's movie etiquette. And they call
me petty for not liking your laugh. That's crazy. When
you apparently called me with the radio, that seems more petty.

Speaker 4 (06:33):
Well, I thought we were reviving and obviously, like I
don't know, like maybe you have one of those like
disorders where any kind of noise bothers you. I don't know,
because like this was not weird.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
Maybe I do. I don't know what disorder you have
to make you laugh like a like a squad for
her throughout the entire movie.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
But okay, I don't know. I shouldn't have to hide
my laugh from the right person.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
You go, girl cool?

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Okay, can I go now?

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Yeah, you can definitely go now.

Speaker 5 (07:01):
Whatever
