Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three, It's Marcus and Corey
time once again for your favorite. It's second date update.
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
It's hard to date out there, it is with them
apps and whatnot and the whatnots. So we tried to
figure out why you're not getting a second date.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Yeah, let's bring on al. Good morning, Al, Oh, good
morning you guys. Are you a good al? He's slightly
unique in that, as I understand from your email, this
is your second go around, your second foray into the
dating pool. Yes.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Yeah, I've been married before, so okay, so it's weird
getting back into it. I met sythe on bumble. Yes,
we ended up going to lunch. We're over in Petaluma.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
Okay.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I thought we were good. I thought we clicked pretty well.
We both of us have been married, divorced. You know,
we both have kids. They're you know, my oldest is
twenty three now, Okay, he's over at college doing his masters.
And yeah, it seemed like everything was in alignment there.
And I'm kind of surprised that Syvia just ghosted me after.
I mean, she gave me like a quick hug at

(01:02):
the end of the day, which seemed kind of you know, yeah,
you know.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
I say this with empathy, but Al sounds tired. He
sounds like, can I just get one of these dates
to work? Lese?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Dating sounds exhausted, It really does. Okay, here's what I'm thinking.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Yeah, she bought a fixer upper, right okay.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
And doesn't realize the extent of repairs that this place needs.
So she's on the second floor and walks over rug,
not knowing that there's a hole in the floor.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Huh.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
And so the rug starts to sink through the floor
and she's going into the hole and then gets trapped
right there with her arms constricted at her chest so
she can't call him.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
There are a lot of old houses in Pedaluma. Ooh
the money pit.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Yes. Aha, congratulations as being very patient with us right now.

Speaker 3 (01:45):
I mean I was going for in my head. I
wasn't sure whether or not I should say it or
leave it up to your guys.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
Corey's theory is always fun. I'll tell you what. Let's
call Cynthia and see what really happened. Can you hang
on for a song?

Speaker 3 (01:57):
Women, No, of course, I appreciate it.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Thanks I got you, all right, Hang on the line.
We'll call her next. It's Second Date Update, Star one
on one three. More variety from the two thousands, the nineties,
and today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus
and Corey doing Second Date Update. We've been chatting with
Al calling us from Pedaluma. So he met Cynthia on
bumble and they both live in Pedaluma. Like, we kind

(02:21):
of have to make this work.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Well, I mean that's just more convenient then sure.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
So Al, you guys both have older kids, right, I
know you mentioned your kids are in their twenties. Does
she kind of a same situation? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:33):
I think her kids are. They're just entering college where
mine are kind of, you know, graduating and going to
the master's programs. Were very proud of them. But yeah,
right around the same age, so very similar situations.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
You guys went to lunch. She has ghosted. Let's call
her and try to figure some things out. I would
love to get you a second date, but at the
very least, I feel obligated to get you some answers.
So go ahead and mut your phone.

Speaker 3 (02:57):
Yeah, I'm curious, I'm curious. You got it.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
Hang on the line. Mut your phone. Here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Hello, Hi, may I speak with Cynthia? Please?

Speaker 4 (03:11):
Hi's Cynthia.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Hi Cynthia, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one on
one three.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Good morning, got hi you guys. How are you?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
What's up? Uh? So?

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Hey? Did do you list store show?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Excellent?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Are you familiar with Second Date Update?

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Fair question?

Speaker 3 (03:30):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:31):
We would like to invite you to join us.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
Welcome to Second Date Update on Second Date Update? Is
that okay?

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah? Is this about all it is about?

Speaker 1 (03:40):
Hell?

Speaker 2 (03:41):
I'll say Hi, she knows you're there.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Just bring it on. Hi, Hi, I am in date
on this call excellence. Everyone sounds so adult. So Cynthia, Hi,
you know why we're here. Alan enjoyed your time, He
loved your date. You're both in Paloma. Feel like this
needs to work. How was lunch for you?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Yeah? It was not great?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Not great? Why? Oh, I'm sorry, Elle? You just I mean,
I don't know. I don't even think I got a
word in edgeways because I had to hear the Landavy
list about a gazillion other women that didn't work out
for him, so it was kind of gross.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
Well, sorry, that's I'm curious here because that's where I
went with you.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Let's back it up.

Speaker 2 (04:29):
What do you mean, Yeah, are you talking like ex girlfriends? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (04:32):
I got a like checklist for I mean, it was
so mean. It was like kind of cattie like okay,
like one girl his dog didn't like or something. And
then one girl we wanted to get married, so we
broke up with her. And then one girl I think
he found out was a smoker, and I don't I
don't know. It was just so much. It was just

(04:54):
hard passed.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Buddy, Oh she's out?

Speaker 2 (04:57):
Is it? Because he was being negative about.

Speaker 4 (04:59):
It, so so negative. It was just awful. It was
just really it was really not attractive.

Speaker 2 (05:06):
Okay, So al, why are you talking about your other dates?

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Well, I mean, for me, it's kind of establishing the
level playing field so everybody knows what they're getting into.
And also, I feel like, you know, we're adults here,
so you know, I just want to dress all of
the red flags that I've had in the past, so
that out in the open. You know, dirty laundry fired there.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Yeah, but that was a super red flag. That's all
I'm saying. It's like all these women were not right
for you, and I don't know dude, it was just
I'm not your friend, like, I don't know, I felt
like your.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Mom, right, Oh, I mean yeah, well, you know, it's
it's hard. It's a second time around with this post
divorce and everything and like updating, like it's it's tough
out there. I thought it was commiserating with this.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
Stuff, Cynthia, did you say anything?

Speaker 4 (05:54):
I tried, but I couldn't even talk.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
All right, So it is this like, are you all
the way out? Is there a shot at a second
date now that we have some awareness or no?

Speaker 4 (06:04):
No, no, I think we just need to move on
from this
