Speaker 1 (00:00):
A variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three, It's Marcus and Corey
and we're back with it. It's second date update.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Come on, you just want that person in your life?
You all do you want a partner, you want a
significant other. You went on a first date, you thought
it was swell, and now you can't get a second date.

Speaker 1 (00:17):
Does this all sound familiar? Amy?

Speaker 3 (00:20):
Yes, I'm like too familiar this game that we have
to play.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Yes, I prefer to think of it as a dance.
But I guess something. Oh no, yeah, has dated in
fifteen years?

Speaker 3 (00:35):
No kidding?

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Why are we asking you? Are you asking me?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Amy? Tell us about it? I bet? I'm sure. What
can you tell us about your date with Matt? How
did you guys meet? First of all, and then let's
let's talk about the first date.

Speaker 3 (00:47):
Well, I was really excited about Matt. We met on Hinge.
His profile really stood out to me. I thought it
was really funny, and then I was happy when we
actually matched and connected, and then through our texting conversation,
it felt like we just completely hit it off instantly.
You can just tell when when people are driving and

(01:10):
when they're not. You know, our chots were just yeah,
they were easy and fun and had things in common.
And then he was very proactive, like we made a
date to meet in person very soon, and I was
really excited to meet him. Uh so we ended up
going to dinner. We got fun in San Matteo.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Yea of the best places to get Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Oh so good, and like I was proud of myself
or also like taken aback a little bit. Normally I'm
very nervous to go on a first date, and this
time with Matt, I wasn't nervous at all, and I
felt like I could be myself. And then the date
went really well and I was very excited to see
him again. I left the date feeling like a second

(01:56):
date was a sure thing. And now with the classic
ghosting and I don't understand.

Speaker 4 (02:05):
Here's gonna call him? Yes please, Here's what I'm thinking.
You guys went for fu and zimto.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Uh huh put a little fish sauce in there. Allergic
to fish?

Speaker 1 (02:15):
Ooh? I thought, see, I thought you were going to
go for too hot chili in the in the crack sauce.
Oh no, no.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Allergy fish?

Speaker 1 (02:22):
M yeah, kind of sass and then what happened? Maybe
cut too? You didn't cut? I didn't cut too?

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Did I cut too?

Speaker 2 (02:32):
He lost his phone, I don't have any means and
the allergy is stupor God, I can't believe I'm helping
you with this anyway.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
I'm sure he's fine, Amy, I'm sure. I'll tell you what.
Let's call him and try to figure out. Okay, can
you hang on the line for a song.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I'll be here right.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
We're gonna get this all straightened out. We'll call Matt,
see what's up. It's it's second Date updates Star one
on one three variety from the two thousands of the
nineties and today it's Star one on one three. It's
Marcus and Corey. We're doing and second Date update. We've
been chatting with Amy about her date with Matt. They
had fa in San Mateo, great time, and he has
since ghosted. I'll tell you what. Here's what we're gonna do.

(03:08):
We're gonna call Matt and see what's up and see
why he might have ghosted.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Here we go, Okay, we'll see.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Oh, mute your phone, meet your phone.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
Sorry, hello, I may speak with Matt.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
Please speaking Hi, Matt, it's Marcus and Corey from Star
one O Win three.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Hey man, Sorry, what is that? Okay? So we do
a radio show. It's it's in San Francisco on the
iHeartRadio app. We're doing a segment. Would love to have
you on the air with us. Uh. So, we got
your phone number from someone you just went on a
date with and she's feeling like you ghosted. She'd like
to go out again. We wanted to get your vibe

(03:50):
on the date and just see if maybe we could
talk you into a second date with a girl named Amy.
Your thoughts, that's a lot?

Speaker 5 (03:58):
Are you cool?

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Krevin on the air with us?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Sure, okay, gank you then, yes you are.

Speaker 1 (04:04):
We want to talk about Amy. How did the dig
go for you? She'd love to go out again? Did
you ghost?

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Okay?

Speaker 5 (04:11):
I think ghosting is a little strong. I've been a
little more distant. I haven't really reached out about getting
together again. But you know it's not like I regardless,
I just I genuinely didn't think that there's going to
be much of a future. Frankly with her. Would have
been happy to explain.

Speaker 4 (04:31):
Sure, Yeah, why would you say that the date was great?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
I mean, Amy's great. Obviously we had we had great chemistry.
As soon as we met up, we went for fought,
and it was first hour or so of the date.
Really was feeling positive about everything. The vibes were great.
But then I just I don't think that we're completely
aligned on life goals in general.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
And why do you say that.

Speaker 5 (04:57):
Well, there was one point at a table, there was
a toddler who was making a little bit of a scene.
It wasn't really a huge deal. I've seen much worse.
I was able to kind of ignore it and enjoy
my meal. But she just, out of nowhere just kind
of turned to me, unprompted and whispered, this is why
I'm never gonna have kids.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
And it wasn't like it.

Speaker 5 (05:16):
She kind of said it real serious. It wasn't super
joking and lighthearted. It was like, oh, I hate kids basically,
and I'm gonna be honest.

Speaker 2 (05:24):
I love kids.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
I want to have kids. It's like a big part
of my vision for the future. So I don't see
the point in wasting either of our time when that
doesn't seem to be what she wants.

Speaker 3 (05:34):
You know.

Speaker 4 (05:35):
Okay, Well, just to be completely transparent, Amy is actually
on the phone with us so we can ask her
about that.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Amy. This is an easy one. I think were you serious?

Speaker 3 (05:49):
Well, I mean okay, II not.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (05:57):
I wish you would have maybe talked to me about like,
I don't think you should take things so seriously. I
was like joking. I mean, I thought the kid was
having like a full blown meltdown in my opinion, But
I was just kind of playing around, like I wasn't
expecting you to take that so seriously. I mean, like
a full on conversation if do you want kids on

(06:19):
a first date? Like that's not I was just kind
of playing around and making fun of the situation.

Speaker 5 (06:25):
Well yeah, and that's what I mean, Like you said,
first date. So no, I'm not going to bring this
into a serious discussion about kids. But I mean you
made it very clear.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
It was.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
It wasn't like uh huh huh, kids are great but
I hate them. No, it was like you don't like kids.
You made it clear, and I know what I want
in life, so that's kids. I want to have three
kids someday. So now that I knew that, no, I'm
not going to make a huge deal about it unless
you ask me directly or bring me on the radio
because I feel like it's awkward to talk about kids.
But no, you don't want kids.

Speaker 3 (06:53):
I do.

Speaker 5 (06:54):
It was, you know, simple as that.

Speaker 3 (06:55):
Okay, I mean listen like it's the first date, like
never saying ever.

Speaker 5 (06:59):
Right, Okay, well I want three kids. So could you
ever see yourself in the future having at least three
kids or more?

Speaker 1 (07:12):
All right, I think that's your answer.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Three. I don't know. This is only I was just
trying to get to know you. I I guess, I
don't know. I I all right, you guys can it's
very important to you. Good for you.
