Speaker 1 (00:00):
A variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three, It's Marcus, and we're
back with second Date update. This is literally you go
on a first date and then you get ghosted. We've
been doing it for almost a decade, just really trying
to bring people together. Once you get ghosted, you call
us and then we call your date and try to
figure out with you on the phone what might have happened.

(00:20):
They won't be able to hear you because you'll be muted,
but you'll be able to hear everything. So let's bring
Adam on. Adam, Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:26):
Hey, good morning, Hey dude, So I want.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
To talk about Brittany and I want to talk about
your date. And I understand you guys met online, but
like according to your DM, she's ghosted. So let's try
to figure this out. What did you guys do on
your date?

Speaker 3 (00:42):
We just had some dinner, got some Italian food and
San Matteo.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Okay, and then how did that go?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Uh? It was went really well. We had like a
lot of shared interests, you know, Okay, we both hikers,
and we talked about movies and stuff. It was super
east easy to get to know or like we even
kind of planned on seeing when you're running Man movie together.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
That's coming up this weekend. Right, yeah, okay, and you've
reached out a couple of times.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Yeah, trying not to be too thirsty about it her.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
Right, Yeah, it's I only had one guy admit a
few days ago that he goes, yeah a lot. All right, Well,
let's like I said, let's see if we can get
her on the phone. I'd love to get you a
second day, but like, can you hang out for a song? Yes,
all right, it's Marcus. We're doing second date update. I've
got Adam on on hold. He was talking about his

(01:35):
day with Brittany. There's Italian food in Stintail, very easy,
and since then she's ghosted. Now you're not being too creepy,
You're not like blowing up her phone, but allow me
you ready to give her a call?

Speaker 2 (01:46):
See what's going on?

Speaker 3 (01:47):
Yeah, all right, I'm curious to know.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Go ahead and mutual phone. Here we go. He hi
mean I speak to Britney please? Yes, that's for brid
Hi Brittany.

Speaker 1 (02:05):
My name is Marcus. I work on Star one O
one three, which is a radio station in San Francisco.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
I don't suppose you listen to my show.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
Okay, we're doing a segment right now. I would love to,
if you don't mind, have you on the air. It's
called second Date Update. And I got floated your phone
number from a guy who just took you on a date,
who was saying that you ghosted he would love to
take you out again.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
So would you mind talking about your date you had
with Adam?

Speaker 4 (02:36):
I mean, yeah, I guess.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
So how did it go for you? Because, like I said,
he's feeling like you ghosted. But I'm just trying to
figure out did he do something wrong?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
I mean, everything was seeming like it was fine initially,
but you know, after a while, he ended up taking
a ten minute phone call and it wasn't quick, it was.
It was quite extensive, and the whole time he was
referring to them as babe.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
Do you mean like at the table?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yes, So when I asked him who that was, he
said it was his cat sitter. And later in the
night his phone let up again and it was a
contact with two heart emojis. So I'm not sure at
Holmes that I know what two heart emojis means. Yeah,
so he kept calling the server of mama and referred
to himself as a heartbreaker more than once. So I

(03:31):
don't know what that was about.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
So he had his phone on the table like face up.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Yeah, okay, all right, Well here's the thing about this
is he's actually I've got him listening. We're trying to
use this as like a teachable moment, Adam, this is
this is a lot who was on the phone.

Speaker 5 (03:47):
First of all, it was it was my neighbor feeding
my cat. I call a lot of women mama, and
you know, things like that because they like it. It's
and it doesn't feel like I'm telling them, you know,
ordering them what to do. I'm just saying that fun way, okay,

(04:11):
you know.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
Joke around with my friends and stuff. It's you know,
it's a familiar thing. So you were kidding, Yeah, in
a way, but I do that with everyone, you know.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
I don't know. It just all feels really shady to me,
and I'm just not really comfortable with that's situation.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
So like, no second date, then yeah, I think I'm
gonna pass fair.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
Enough, hang on one secon all right, Second date update
seven oh five weekday mornings you replace it nine oh
