Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three Marcus and Corey. We're
back with second date update. Good morning.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
Why is it so hard to get a second day?

Speaker 1 (00:09):
Don't know, that's the question. Yes, let's bring on Carlos
and say what's up, Carlos, good morning?

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Hey, what's up?

Speaker 1 (00:16):
Hey dude? Obviously we want to talk about Heather and
so yeah, I'm trying to remember from your DM did
she ghost Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Yeah, we you know we met on Hinge, grabbed dinner
and Mountain View and total ghost job. I thought it
was fun. I don't know.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
Okay, all right, let's see if we can get her
on anything standing out? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Mind?

Speaker 1 (00:39):
Where did you screw up? Carlos?

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Gee, I don't know. I thought we had so much
in common. She had a great sense of humor and
she was like fun because I hate boring, and she
wasn't boring. I swear she was enjoying herself.

Speaker 1 (00:54):
But then wait, hold on, that might be a tell. Carlos,
you said you hate boring. You didn't make it weird,
did you?

Speaker 3 (01:01):
No?

Speaker 1 (01:01):
No, you know, Okay, I just want to make sure Corey,
do you have any thoughts well.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Heather's careers in TV.

Speaker 4 (01:08):
She's an anchor h and you know, her career is
kind of installed for a while and he and she
gets passed over for this coveted position, you know, and
she loses it. So she keeps complaining that God is
treating her poorly, and soon after God shows up and
is like, all right, if you think you can do
it better, I'll give you all my powers. And then

(01:29):
things just go awry from there. So she's trying to
get back control of the world and everybody.

Speaker 1 (01:35):
Is there a gender swap here?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
I think, so that might be why I had all
of those missteps.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Well, go ahead, No, that's Dogmas, not Dogma. That was
going to be my guest Carlos Team.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
Carlos right here, it's not Dogma.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Does anybody know what that was? Because I sure don't.
We have to move on, so I'll put you know what,
if you have a talk back and tell us what
that was, please let us know. It's on the iHeartRadio app,
that little red microphone. Leave us a message back to you, Carlos.
What we're gonna do, Carlos is a relatively new listener.
We're gonna get Heather on the phone. You're going to
be listening on mute. We're gonna try to get some answers. Okay,

(02:09):
ultimately would love to get you a second date, like
that's the goal goal. Yes, but let's see what happens.

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Can you hang on? Yeah, I'll hang on, Go move, we'll.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Do it next. It's Second Date Update Star one O
one three or variety from the two thousands, the nineties,
and today Star one O one three. Marcus and Corey
talking to Carlos here with second Date Update. He was
filling us in on his date with Heather. They met
on Hinge and then just grabbed dinner and Mountain View.
Very simple. Yes, he said it was fun. They shared
a sense of humor. I love the line He's I
can't stand boring. So I'm guessing Heather wasn't boring. Is

(02:40):
that accurate, Carlos, Yeah, totally. Okay.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
My dad says that's the biggest sin you can commit.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
To be boring, to be boring, I'll tell you what.
Here's what we're gonna do. We're gonna call her. We'll
have you on mute. Let's see if we can figure
some things out. Carlos, go ahead, mute up the phone, okay.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Hello, I may speak with Heather please.

Speaker 5 (03:06):
This is her.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Hi Heather, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one O
one three.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Good morning. Okay, I've never got them.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Before we work. Do you a radio station?

Speaker 1 (03:20):
Do you listen to her show?

Speaker 5 (03:23):
I listened to the radio. I don't know if I
listened to your show.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
Okay, shit, it's delightful Marcus and Corey six to ten
weekday mornings on one on one three. That was a plug. Yes,
uh so, I don't know if you have a second
to go on the air with us, like be part
of the show, because we're doing I'll explain. We're doing
a segment called second Date Update, and we got floated
to your phone number by a guy who one of

(03:47):
our listeners took you on a date. Said he's feeling
ghosted right now. So we're just trying to figure out. Literally,
I asked him, dude, what did you do wrong? Maybe
I can ask you if you don't mind talking about
your date with Carlos. Did he blow it?

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Well? That's fun. I mean I really liked him. I
was definitely attracted to him. We met on Hinge like
he left nice in his photos nice in real life.
We had a great time. He has a great personality.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Where's the giant butt.

Speaker 5 (04:17):
There's a butt, it's coming. At dinner, Carlos ordered steak
butter like butter bacon, I don't know, probably some more
meats and then launched into like a twenty minute lecture
about the Keto diet.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
And it's about.

Speaker 5 (04:35):
Yeah, and it just felt very like infomercially Jim bro
I don't know. He was pretty much trying to get
me just throw out all my carbs and was like,
I'll read your pantry. Like it just was very intense.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Okay, So okay, he got intense. Okay, good info. Okay,
this is the moment where so Carlos is listening right now. Yeah,
and oh sorry, yeah, we don't.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
Mean to blindside you, but he just wants to learn
from you know what. Whatever took place.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
So Carlos, Oh my god, yeah Carlos.

Speaker 3 (05:11):
Yeah, hey, okay, Hi, So.

Speaker 1 (05:16):
Maybe you got a little too intensive about this journey
that you're on.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Maybe I guess I was just trying to, you know,
share a life style that changed my life. Like I
used to be like two hundred and eighty pounds and
doing Keto. I dropped like one hundred pounds and so
that I look good in my photos and real life.
And I was just sharing about it. And then yeah,
later on, I was like, let me redo your pantry.
But you know that that's like, uh, some people are like, oh,

(05:42):
let's get a drink at my place. I was just
trying to make it an excuse, like one of those.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
You were literally going to go to her house and
redo her pantry.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
I think that's a euphemism.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
It's so hot.

Speaker 5 (05:54):
Yeah, No, I mean I'm glad that it's changed your
life and that you're happy with it. It just felt
more like a sales pitch than a date, and especially
on the first date. I'm really not trying to like
be made to feel bad about what I'm eating or
what my diet is. Again, like, it just was really intense.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
I got it. So Okay, we've got some self awareness.
I say it all the time. Can we try this again, Heather?
Can we get a do over? Maybe a second first date?

Speaker 5 (06:21):
Mm? I don't know. I just I wasn't no, I
wasn't really feeling it.
