Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one, O one three. It's Marcus and Corey
back with Second Data Update. Let's just launch this thing.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
We try to figure out how we can get you
the second date. Yes, you know, dating's hard. I even
saw something on TV about dating fatigue, dating app fatigue.
So we want to help. We want to try and
make this an easier process for you. That's why we
do Second Date Update.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Let's get Chris on the phone. Chris, are you.
Speaker 3 (00:22):
There, Hey, guys, good morning.
Speaker 1 (00:24):
How's your dating app fatigue one to ten?
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Oh? Yes, it's about a nine.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
It's a real thing, poor guy. Well listen, we got
your email. Let's talk about Daisy. So what's the story.
How did you guys meet? And then like, what did
the first date look like?
Speaker 3 (00:44):
All right, so we met on Tinder, which is totally cool. Foo,
everyone talked about it. Right. We decided to hook up
in the city and do a lot, like a late
breakfast on a Monday. That's kind of different, weird. Yeah.
So I'm a professional chef and I work a ton,
so that's sort of the only days I have off. Sure,
and she told me she works from home, and she
(01:05):
was pretty flexible, so I thought, okay, well that helps us.
I was tired, but it really it was nothing like
a good cup of coffee couldn't fix, you know what
I mean? And doing that stuff that early, sure, and
the date, look at the date went great. I enjoyed
her company, and I like how driven she was. I
guess she's an executive at a marketing firm.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
Okay, I was gonna ask you what she does for work, Yeah, okay, marketing.
Speaker 3 (01:31):
Very well spoken and was on top of her stuff.
And just you know all that you're just like smart.
You can tell us she's super smart. Yeah, And I
just thought it went great. And I don't know for
whatever reason, she's vanished and I haven't talked to her,
and I reached out a couple of times, and I'd
like to know what happened.
Speaker 2 (01:47):
All right, that's why we're here, wouldn't we all?
Speaker 1 (01:49):
Corey your thoughts.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Daisy heads home after breakfast. Huh, works a full day.
She noticed some lightning after dark, and it's weird because
she checks weather and there's no storm predicted. She's wondering
why there's like these lightning flashes outside. Okay, cut to
it's a guy taking pictures of her and she hasn't
been able to get back to him because she's been
(02:11):
filing a police report and she got to change her number.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Thank you for not making it too weird.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Well, it's not like the lightning was coming from inside
the building.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, plausible, unlikely, but plausible.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Let's got to change her headdress and her number and
all that.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
Chris is waiting very patiently right now.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
You know you could try and giggle a little bit.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
Thanks.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Was that a courtesy giggle? I liked it? Yeah, a
curtsy chuckle.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
You know, I worked very hard at this.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
Let's just call Daisy. Well done, Corey. Thanks, Let's call Daisy.
See what's going on. Chris, hang on the line. We'll
do it after this. It's it's second Date updates Star
one O one three, more variety from the two thousands,
the nineties and to day. It's Star one O one three.
It's Marcus and Corey back with second Date update. We
gave you the rundown on Chris and Daisy. I guess
(03:04):
you guys met in a very well I didn't meet
in an orthodox way. You met on Tinder, but the
date was different in that it was a Monday for
like a basically a brunch because you work a lot, right, Chris,
you were you were in a kitchen, like a professional kitchen.
Speaker 3 (03:19):
Yeah, basically that's it. And my only day off was Monday,
and she was because her schedule was flexible. I kind
of pitched that and she was down, So okay.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
All right, it's unique. But now she's disappeared and we
were going to find out wilet's let's call her. Chris
ultimately would love to get you a second date, So
let's cross our fingers for that. Go ahead and mute
your phone. Here we go.
Speaker 3 (03:46):
Hello, I mean you speak.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
With Daisy please?
Speaker 4 (03:49):
Hi, This says Daisy.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
Hi, Daisy, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one to
Win three.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
What's good Daisy? Hi?
Speaker 4 (03:56):
I'm sorry? Oh from the radio station?
Speaker 1 (04:00):
Yes, weird for iHeartRadio. We do a morning show. I
don't suppose you listen?
Speaker 3 (04:05):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (04:06):
Okay. Is there any reason that you're calling me?
Speaker 3 (04:09):
Yes?
Speaker 2 (04:09):
Or it's very important reason we're calling you.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
I would love to if possible, we're doing a dating segment.
We'd love to talk to you about a date you've
been on recently, if you would be okay with talking
about it on the air for a minute.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Yes, yes, sure, yes you thank you.
Speaker 2 (04:25):
By the way, you should listen. We're delightful, Yes we are.
Speaker 1 (04:28):
The gentleman's name and question is is Chris. And he
really enjoyed your date. He would love to take you
out again. We are here on his behalf to try
to broker that deal. I'm wondering if you might talk
about your date with Chris, because he's feeling ghosted now.
So did something go wrong?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yeah, so Chris, he was. He was definitely a cool
guy who's cute. We had a good time together. But
unfortunately I came to understand that he wasn't entirely truthful. So, yeah,
that's kind of what happened.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Was not truthful about well, he said he's.
Speaker 4 (05:08):
A professional chef. That's what he told me, And I
just was thinking about having a guy cook for me,
like very exciting, young perfect, you know. And when we
met up, he told me all about how he helps
create the menus and like he has his hand in
just about every dish in the restaurant where he works,
(05:28):
and it's like it also sounded like a kitchen. Well, yeah,
so that's kind of the thing, you know, when he
talked about it on the date. It sounded almost like
it was his restaurant, like his place. But it turns
out that like a week afterwards, a friend of mine
went to that restaurant and she told me that she
(05:51):
was coming back from the bathroom and looked into the
kitchen and saw Chris where he was actually shopping. On me,
it's like a whole bunch of onions, like not near
the stove, not near the main action, but at like
a little sad, little station by himself, and and my
friend even kind of went back after the meal just
(06:12):
to double check and thought he was this time he
was cutting carrots, so yes, a different vegetable, but not
really not really main chef, not really executive chef, not
really chefs kind of at all, more like prep cook.
And that seems wildly different from what he explained, So
that just seemed off to me, did not seem truthful,
(06:35):
a little bit weird, honestly.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
Got it.
Speaker 2 (06:37):
Okay, I have questions and the person who can answer
them is actually on the phone with us.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Chris is actually listening.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
Sorry, Okay, okay, learning of that part.
Speaker 5 (06:49):
Chris, Hey, guys, there he is, So you heard all
of that Chris, did you did you pass yourself off
as the chef at the restaurant or what?
Speaker 3 (07:00):
Fine, I'm not a chef, but I did chef Okay, yeah,
I was cutting onions and okay, and it's it's in
every sort of dish except for dessert. So I wasn't
technically lying. Let's be honest. I wasn't lying. Wait a
minute to get a date. You know, it's tough out there,
(07:22):
so I, you know, kind of went for it. And
I can't cook. That's the truth. I really can cook
really well, you know. I mean, and she sent a
friend in on to recon on me. I mean, now,
who's the shady one. That's a little bizarre.
Speaker 2 (07:35):
Okay, don't do that because now what you're doing is
deflecting from what you did, throwing accusations the other ways,
because honestly, did you make her think you were a chef?
Speaker 1 (07:44):
This is messy.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
I didn't tell her he did.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
To speak from my own perspective, he did. That's the
words that he used, and that's that's not truthful. That's
the same thing if you put on your profile that
you're three and you're five eight, you know it's not
that's not the same thing. They're they're different things.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
You're really being really short sighted here, because one day
I will be a chef. Okay, it's going to happen,
so let's not you know, okay, what the roll that
out the window?
Speaker 4 (08:15):
But that's not today, that's not right now. And you
know what, why don't you give me a call at
the point because I'm currently a very busy person and
I don't date. Hired help, I don't date. But that's way,
that's not that's not where I'm at.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
Okay, Wow, I'm realizing you're not the kind of person
I thought you were. And honestly, and.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
I'm full of that makes two of us.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
So Roger's a.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Bullet here, Okay, okay, okay, hang on, please, two different
kinds of people? How uh A lot to unpack?
Speaker 3 (08:51):
There?
Speaker 2 (08:51):
Yeah?
