More variety for the two thousands, the nineties, and today
star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey and
it is time once again for second date updates.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I can't tell you how many times I meet somebody
and they say to May, oh man, that's second date
update is my favorite.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Dude, we will new work on Friday. Yeah, every single
I was like, this train wreck is going to be
my legacy. Just right here. It's not a bad one.
You know what, though, I don't want to put those
vibes in the universe because Damon is on the phone.
He needs some help. Okamon, are you there?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah, right here, let's.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Get you a second date.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Bro.

Speaker 1 (00:31):
There, I'm thinking positive, so we know how this works.
Tell us about Kendra, tell us how you met, and
then what did you guys do on your first date?
Because I'm reading here that she did.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Ghost Yeah, and honestly, like, why I'm on the phone
with you guys because it was the best dinner like
date thing I had had in months by far. We
met on Hinge and immediately, I mean, she drop dead gorgeous, funny.
It didn't FaZe her when you know, I suggested we

(01:03):
order dessert, like that's sometimes a thing, you know, like
just enjoyed yourself thoroughly. And I thought that was a
good sign. And she wasn't in a hurry to leave.
I bobviously couldn't wait to see her again, and so
and now it's just tumbleed.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
Okay, Corey, your thoughts.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
Well, what I'm thinking is that Kendra actually works for
the mob as a bag man or a bag woman,
if you will, And she's been given two ultimatums. The
first is from his mob boss to go to Mexico.
You mean her her mob boss, thank you. To travel
to Mexico and get a priceless antique pistol it has
a really unique name. Or suffer the consequences now. The

(01:44):
second ultimatum is from a friend who wants her to
end her association with the mob. Kendra figures alive and
in trouble with her friend is better than the more
permanent alternative, so he she heads south of the border.

Speaker 1 (01:58):
Is she Brad Pitt? Is it huh greeno in Mexico
or something? You're close?

Speaker 2 (02:09):
Well, Mexican, damon, got it.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Ed, green Geto and Mexico no any good for you?

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Damon?

Speaker 1 (02:17):
All right, Well, I don't think that actually happened. I
gotta be honest. I mean it makes sense though, Sure, Damon,
let's call her. This date sounds awesome, so let me
let's regroup, play a song. We'll call her next. Second
Ate Update Star one O one three more variety from
the two thousands of the nineties and today Star one
O one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second
Date Update and we are talking to Damon about his

(02:40):
date with Kendra. It was one of those dates that
he didn't want to end. She didn't seem to be
in a hurry to leave, and now she's ghosted. So
let's let's call her an a. I want to get
some answers, but b let's see if we can score
a second date. Damon, are you ready?

Speaker 3 (02:52):
I'm kind of nervous, but yeah, all right, all.

Speaker 1 (02:54):
Right, just take the breath. Let's give her a shout.
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
Hello, I may speak with Kendra.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
Please.

Speaker 4 (03:11):
This is Kendra.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Hi, Kendra, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one one three.

Speaker 1 (03:16):
Hey, oh okay, what do you do one? Pick it up?
Numbers you don't recognize.

Speaker 4 (03:22):
I'm just kidding, what are you doing calling me? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (03:26):
You're right, you're right, do you have a sec to
be on the air with us? I don't suppose you
listen to our show? Do you we show?

Speaker 4 (03:32):
Oh cool, it's.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
A radio show. Would love to have you on. Okay,
we're doing a bit called second Date Update, and we
got floated your phone number by a friend of ours
who listens to the show, who went on a date
with you, he says, says he had a great time,
said it felt like it didn't need to end, and
now he's feeling like you ghosted him. So we're wondering

(03:56):
if you have a sec to talk to us about
your date with Damon. Okay, where did he screw up?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
Okay, well, listen, I had really high hopes when I
went to that.

Speaker 1 (04:09):
I guess i'mptive before we started, like did you ghost?

Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (04:13):
I kind of okay, all right, now proceed. How did
he screw up?

Speaker 4 (04:17):
I mean, he's a decent guy.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
He respects me.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Let me tell you the good stuff first, Okay, he
really listened to me. There were no hiccups until after
dinner when we ordered dessert. So first Damon wanted me
to hear some of his original poetry.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
And yeah, but.

Speaker 4 (04:42):
When he read me this little piece of poetry it
was about his ex, which is kind of weird. Oops.
And then later, when dessert came, he reached across the
table and fed me a spoonful without even asking, and
I was kind of like, okay, was a little awkward.
But the kicker was, when you know we're done with

(05:05):
the date, he asked if I wanted to come back
to his place and meet his mom. Mom and I
quote stays with him most nights.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
His mom, No, she stays with him.

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Yeah, but why would you want you to meet his
mom on the first date?

Speaker 1 (05:28):
Why don't we ask? Okay?

Speaker 4 (05:29):
Oh my god, I know. I was like, what this
is moving so fast?

Speaker 1 (05:35):
So, uh yeah, Damon is actually on the phone. He's
listening right now. Come on, we're trying to help him
out here. My guy really liked you, Damon. I have questions.
Are you there?

Speaker 3 (05:48):
Yeah, as far as like the poetry, it's an x
so who cares at that point, like obviously in the past.

Speaker 1 (05:59):
But I don't know, but it might does.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
It would seem like it means something to you if
you're reading a poem you wrote about her.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Yeah, Now, I just see how that's like a huge
like deal breaker thing or something.

Speaker 5 (06:12):
It's just why are we even referencing the X Nobody
wants to know that there are one in a list
of people, Damon, not especially It's a first date, all right.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Let's get to the real issue though, Go ahead.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
What why would you want her to meet your mom
the first night.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
You got out? Well?

Speaker 3 (06:31):
I love my mom and I know that she's gonna
love Kendra too. There's a no brainer there.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
Yeah, but like I don't even know if I want
to meet your dog, Like, let me get to know
you first.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Okay, I don't know what the all this hesitation is
after such.

Speaker 1 (06:47):
A good date, Damon, This is like one thousand miles
an hour.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Yeah, guys, you see what I mean, Like it's just
too much, too soon? Like do you live with your mom? No?

Speaker 3 (06:56):
Well, she comes over like quite a bit. She's got
her own little like trundle trundle bed.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
I don't even know how that would not be awkward
for me, Like are we going to make out like
on the patio? Like it's just this, I'm out. I'm sorry,
but no,
