Elena called us about Victor. They matched on Hinge and went out for seafood in Mill Valley. Elena said they shared oysters, talked about work, discussed hobbies and what books they are reading. She thought it was easygoing and natural. She thought they bonded over mutual interests. But Victor never got back to her.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands of the nineties, and
today it's Star one O one three. It's Marcus and
Corey wrapping the week up strong with second date update.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
We just want you to find love. I don't want
to brag, but we put a couple together this week.
We had two wins this week. We did right. It
felt like a very strong week. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
If that is not an endorsement, Brandon, who is listening
right now? I don't know what is you ready to
do this?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
My man?

Speaker 4 (00:27):
Let's go three for three? Right?

Speaker 5 (00:29):
Thank you?

Speaker 1 (00:29):
I love it, So let's get right into it. I
want to talk about Tessa. How did you, guys meet?
I understand she has ghosted, so let's just start there.
What did you do on your first date?

Speaker 5 (00:40):
How was it the vibe?

Speaker 4 (00:42):
I thought the vibe was pretty great, you know, I
mean it wasn't any sort of like crazy meet you.
We've met on Hinge when did some tacos in Oakland,
And honestly, like I thought the vibe was immaculate, you
know if she was stylish, witty, and I felt the
spark was just undeniable because it wasn't awkward getting to
know you faced. We just immediately started talking, and it

(01:03):
felt like we knew each other for years, and now
I'm here wondering why she disappeared.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
You said, immaculate. Wow, I have not heard of immaculate
since I didn't even know anyway, everybody that now it's
a classy word. It's a classy word.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
Corey.

Speaker 6 (01:21):
Your thoughts, Well, I think what happened was is she
was selected to take part in a secret military experiment.
And what they did is they put Tessa in hibernation.
And the problem is is that they're forgotten they the
base is closed down, and no one remembers that she's

(01:42):
in this pod, and so she's not let out.

Speaker 2 (01:45):
For like, I don't know, one hundred years.

Speaker 6 (01:49):
And when she finally does wake up, she finds out
the average intelligence of humans has decreased so much that
she's now the smartest woman in the world.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
Captain American Waters Soldier.

Speaker 4 (02:02):
No, No, that that is definitely idiocracy.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Right now, No, Y, Shelby, listen every morning without telling me.
You listen every morning, Brandy, You warm my heart. It's
fine job.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
All right.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I'm not sure if that actually happened, but we should
call her and ask her. Let's call tell you what
Brandon will have you on the line. We want to
try to get you a second date. That's the goal.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
But let's say we can see what we can find out,
get you some answers.

Speaker 4 (02:31):
Okay, yeah, hopefully you can get a hold of burn
she's the your round pods.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Let's hope we'll make the call after this.

Speaker 1 (02:39):
It's second Date updates Star one O one three or
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's
Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We've
got Elena on the phone. We're doing Second Date update.
This sounds delicious. She and Victor were in Mill Valley
having oysters and seafood and with the weather the way
it's been and a lot of hobbies in con Helen.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Are you still there?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Yeah, I'm here.

Speaker 2 (03:02):
Okay, I just want to make sure we're all set.
Let's call Victor because I don't like that he ghosted you.
Let's give him a shout and see what's going on. Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 7 (03:15):
Hello, Hi, may.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Speak with Victor.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
Please, Hi, Victor, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one
on one three.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
What's good Victor.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
The radio station?

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yes, that's us, Good morning, good morning. Do you listen
to our show?

Speaker 5 (03:35):
I've heard about it. I don't really listen to the
radio in.

Speaker 2 (03:38):
The morning, but okay, well nobody likes that guy. You
should because we're delightful.

Speaker 6 (03:43):
We're doing something called Second Date Update, and I was
wondering if you wouldn't mind coming on the air with
us and talking about a recent date you went on.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
Sure, it's a lot. Oh, he already agreed. I mean,
I'm not going to overexplain. Let's go.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
So we got your phone number from a lady that
you took out recently who is feeling ghosted, and so
we wanted to check in with you. Her name is Elena,
and the date sounds awesome. But did something go wrong?
And did you ghost? First of all, I guess I
want to ask first.

Speaker 5 (04:14):
Uh yeah, yeah, it just I don't think it would
work out.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
What happened?

Speaker 5 (04:21):
It was okay. We went to a seafood.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Place right and sounds delicious.

Speaker 5 (04:26):
It was okay, Yeah, it was really good. The food
was good, well mine was, that's kind of a part
of it. So we shared some oysters and Elena dousts
each one of them with so much ketchup it was revolting.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
For me.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Put up on oyster, catchups, ketchup cocktail sauce.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Is it really that different. I don't know, not that I.

Speaker 5 (04:54):
Would definitely different, or for else, you know, you'd see
ketchup on instead.

Speaker 1 (05:00):
I mean, if you want to get nerdy, the sweetness
of the ketchup does not play well with the sweetness
of the oyster.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
If you want to get stupid about it.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
Right, I'm kind of a foodie. You want that horse
ridders tang to balance it out.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
Victor's on my level, please continue, But that's not it.

Speaker 5 (05:17):
So she ordered crab.

Speaker 7 (05:19):
And instead of using you know, the crab crackers or
the clock crabbers, she was just using her bare hands
and just like ripping it open and like not caring
about anything. She sprayed like juice all over my shirt.

Speaker 2 (05:30):
And that's just passion to me. That's almost weirdly for me.

Speaker 6 (05:34):
Maybe she's like a mermaid because that's what Darryl Hanna did.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Stop.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
We got to stay on track anyway, Sorry, Victor, Was
that it?

Speaker 5 (05:45):
I mean, that was it with the food. But then
you know, at the end, when her martini came, she
wanted me to do a boomerang on Instagram with the Martini,
I guess, but she still do those. One time, she
just she had me doing like three or four times. Okay,
it's just annoying. I didn't know what was going on.

(06:06):
I'm not a fan of, you know, social media much,
but yeah, it was just a lot of little things
that I'm just I don't know, for a first date.
It was a little much.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Okay, she must be strong.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
Okay, Well here's the part where I tell you Alenta
is actually listening.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
So Elena say, hi, are you there?

Speaker 3 (06:27):
Hi?

Speaker 6 (06:27):
Doctor?

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Hi? Hey Elena.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
Okay, so you're a big Ketchup fan.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Well, what's the difference between Ketchup and gartail salts? I
mean horse reddish, come on.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Thank you?

Speaker 5 (06:40):
I mean like eight ingredients.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
I get it. If you're a footy, I get it, okay,
but some of us it's different.

Speaker 8 (06:52):
And I thought, you know, using my hands is almost
like a down to earth kind of girl. I'm not
trying to pretend to be somebody that I'm not, but hey,
I get it. Not everybody pays social media. Well okay,
I feel like, you know, taking the picture was the
moment when people go out eat they do social media
with their food.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
I just I'm sorry, I grabbed the life. That's just
who I am, So you.

Speaker 8 (07:17):
Don't immerse yourself into the eating experience. If I try
to not eat the way I am.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Then I'm just pretending to be someone else.

Speaker 5 (07:27):
Yeah, first of all, that's what first dates are. You
always pretend to be someone else on the first aid.
But if you want to immerse yourself, you've got to
be in the moment. You're not like taking videos. Are
you gonna watch those videos later?

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Like?

Speaker 5 (07:39):
Who is that for? Don't you want to just like
be there with me, have a conversation and then maybe
talk about it later, Like why does it have to
be in the moment?

Speaker 8 (07:47):
You just probably you probably don't understand it because that's
how social media works.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
And I'm not here to play dress up.

Speaker 8 (07:53):
I'm here to be me.

Speaker 3 (07:54):
So if you want to be fake, that's up to you.

Speaker 8 (07:56):
I mean, the fact that you just mentioned that you
are not yourself on the first face, it's scary, all

Speaker 2 (08:01):
Right, you guys, this is
