wrap up a week strong. We got second date up
date back in effect, and we have Eli on the phone.
Good morning, Eli.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Hey, good morning, good man.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
How are you.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
I'm okay, you know.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
Other than the ghosting thing. Every time I say that,
I'm like, oh well it is apart from the ghosting thing.
You're good.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Yeah, other than that, pretty good.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
So we want to talk about Marissa. Well, let me
explain second date updates. So basically, Eli went on a date.
Typically these dates go well, but you tell me and
she has ghosted sense and we're gonna call her and
try to figure out why. So tell me about the date.
First of all, how'd you guys meet?
Speaker 2 (00:38):
Okay, so we met on bumble. We decided to go
out to downtown Campbell area, you know, and uh, you know,
we started at one spot, had some drinks, then we
grabbed tacos and just kind of walked around, got an
ice cream after. Like it was it was nice, like
we had a really good time, and you know, we
were we talked about some like weekend hiking spots that
(01:00):
we're thinking about checking out, and you know, like we're
both super into Trader Joe's snacks, Like we got a
thing for those, so we have a lot of common Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
I like those rolled up little taquito things that they do,
the spicy ones.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Yeah, that was great.
Speaker 1 (01:15):
I get accused of stealing those at my house. Sorry,
go ahead daydreaming about snacks my film.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
If they're at your house. You can't steal anything from
your own house.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
My daughter will tell you differently.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Okay, that's fair anyway. At one point, just like it
was just this little moment, like this little dog walked
by wearing a sweater, and Marissa crouched down to say
hi to the dog, and I just like I made
a joke about how like I will only date women
who greet dogs before humans.
Speaker 1 (01:43):
Yeah, my guy's got the money. You know, I'm going
to stop you and give you a massive compliment because
women keep coming into the studio. Ladies, get on the
mic really quick, both of you. One to ten. How
much is Bradley Cooper on the phone right now, Producer
Taylor Right? Doesn't it kind of sound like it? Angelina
just wandered from Wild ninety four.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Nine, Like the pipe Piper. This guy, Like, I'm just
saying I'm talking to him, but the door keeps opening.
I'm like, I'm on a call right now. Ladies, please,
I promise it's not Bradley Cooper, but I.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
Don't actually know. To keep them away from us. Sorry,
I'm completely derailing it. Okay, you guys, I have to
work please anyway, Sorry, Eli, back to you. What were
we doing? Oh, we were talking about your date. So
since the day, like, what happened? Like it sounds pretty
pretty slick. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
I don't know what happened. I mean, she just she
ghosted me a few days later. I have no idea.
I can't think of anything because it wasn't like she
ghosted me immediately either, right like a few days of
I was talking about doing something again and then nothing.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
I'll tell you what. We're gonna call her. We'll have
you on the phone. You know how we do this.
It's been almost ten years, so just sit tight. Play
a song. We'll do it, okay, A variety from the
two thousands of the nineties and today it's Star one

date right now. We are talking to Eli about his
date with Marissa. Sounds super cute, downtown Campbell and it
was kind of a neighborhood walk. I understand you grabbed tacos,
(03:14):
there was ice cream. I mean, it all seems to
work out. Plus we've established my guy sounds like Bradley Cooper.
Do you ever get that, Eli?
Speaker 2 (03:21):
Or No?
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Am I crazy?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
No, this is the first time I've heard it. But
I you know, don't call into a lot of radio stations.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
That's true too, that's true too. All right, Well go
ahead and mute your phone. We're gonna give her a
call right now. All right, May I speak to Marissa?
Speaker 2 (03:40):
Please?
Speaker 1 (03:41):
This is Marissa Fantastic. My name is Marcus So. I
host a radio show at Star one on one three
for iHeartRadio, and I'm wondering, A. Do you listen? And
B do you have a second to be on the air.
Speaker 4 (03:56):
It's a lot of market Yes, no, listen, I know you.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
This makes my job so much easier. You have no idea.
So we're doing second date update right now? Does that
mean anything to you?
Speaker 4 (04:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Okay, sweet, So there's a guy on the phone. I
might as well just tell you because I mean, since
you know what's up? Who would love to take you
out again? He said, you guys just went on a
first date. His name is Eli. Can I invite him on?
Speaker 4 (04:28):

Speaker 1 (04:36):
So uh here we are. Eli thought you were amazing.
He'd like to go out again. And I'm just trying
to figure out if he did he do something wrong
because he's feeling ghosted. So did you ghost? That's A
and B? What did something happen?
Speaker 2 (04:52):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (04:53):
I have good reason. I think I have excellent reason.
Speaker 1 (04:58):
The only clue that I have is that it didn't
happen right away like that you were You were cool
for a couple of days after, and then you weren't.
So what happened?
Speaker 4 (05:08):
Well? I ran into him at Target in Coopertino.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Okay, he was not alone, I see. Uh can you elaborate?
Speaker 4 (05:23):
Well? He was with a woman and two small children,
and the children were calling him daddy. The woman was
hanging on his arm. They were laughing together. Hute little
family picture. It was not what I was expecting.
Speaker 1 (05:42):
Sure, Eli, any explanation on this?
Speaker 2 (05:47):
Because yeah, she listen, you got it mixed up. That's
my ex and we are. We're just co parenting. So
there's no uh, but you know, there's nothing, nothing happening.
That's that's all. It is. Just you know, we stood up,
but we still do stuff with the kids. We're trying
(06:08):
to be good parents. That's all.
Speaker 1 (06:10):
Got it.
Speaker 4 (06:11):
You were wearing matching gold rings.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
Yeah, I mean we're separated. It's not official yet. I
don't know. I guess we just haven't gotten out of
the habit of that. I don't know. I don't really
think about that.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
How about the family's nice cart of groceries.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
Yeah, well, I mean it's still a family. There are
still kids. We're not together, we don't live together, but
like we're shopping together for the kids, so we want
to make sure we get stuff with them. And it's
just a that's a separate part of my life and
has nothing to do with you.
Speaker 4 (06:44):
So when she gets you on the cheek, was that
my imagination?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
No, it's just this is a friendly moment, you know, Like,
I don't know, I don't know what to tell you. Listen,
we're not together, we're just co parenting.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Well, I'm not interested in whatever version of co parenting thiss.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
Sure hang on this all sounds very complicated. Uh, we'll
let that go. Second date update seven oh five weekday
mornings
