phone listening in to try to figure out why. Let's

(00:21):

about Aaron and y'all went out to dinner in Redwood City,
So let's talk about it. What did you do on
your first of all, how did you meet? And then
let's talk about what you did on your date?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
So we met online, okay, and then we went to
go have dinner at this pub okay, And it ended
up being like it was a lot of fun. Okay,
I've been I didn't need to catch you off.

Speaker 3 (00:43):
No, you're good.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
I was just when you say pub, I just think
of like comfort food. Yeah, I'm alty thinking about chicken
pop pies, you know what I mean.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Yeah, yeah, you know it was a pub. It was
like pretty cool and we had a lot of fun.
We joked a lot, especially about some of our favorite shows.
And we even like got a dessert that we shared.
So I kind of thought she was really in to me.
But I haven't heard back from her.

Speaker 1 (01:08):
And you've tried to reach out a couple of times.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Yeah, without being like a little too pushy or too creepy.
I did, like try to still try to test the water,
but I've heard nothing that.

Speaker 1 (01:18):
Okay, all right, well let me do it. So we're
gonna call Aaron. We're gonna ask her how the date went,
and then I'm gonna have you listening in on mute
so she can't hear you. A variety from the two thousands,
the nineties, and today it's Star one on one three.

Speaker 3 (01:37):
It is Marcus, good morning, we're doing second date update.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I got Lucas on the phone and we were talking
a few minutes ago about his date with Aaron in
Redwood City. I do love pub food. Lucas tell me
there were chicken wings involved, and like, oh, wakamole, and like, oh,
it's my favorite stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:55):
I keep it nice and simple, you know. I don't
want to do nothing too crazy. So I got a
burger and fries for our dessert. We got just like
big brownie with ice cream on it.

Speaker 3 (02:05):
It was real. Really, I'm gonna need you to stop talking.
It's way too early in the morning.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Well, okay, so she's goes to Let's call her and
try to figure some things out.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
Go ahead and meet your phone. Okay, all right, here
we go.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Hello.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Hi, can I talk to Aaron please?

Speaker 5 (02:33):
This is she.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Hi Aaron.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
My name is Marcus and I work for Star one
oh one three. It's a radio station in San Francisco.
Do a morning show.

Speaker 6 (02:43):
Oh my god, Hi, I know. I listened to your
station every morning.

Speaker 3 (02:47):
I love the show, loves it.

Speaker 1 (02:49):
Hey, Hi, so, Hi, I'm doing Second Date.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Update right now. I hope that's not weird for you.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Okay, are you aware of what second date update is?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yes?

Speaker 5 (03:02):
I am.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
Okay.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
So there is a guy who called in and says
he had a great time with you. He is feeling
like you ghosted. So I wanted to figure out. His
name is Lucas, and I wanted to figure out if
you did ghost him.

Speaker 6 (03:17):
Wait, so he's he's listening right now, right.

Speaker 3 (03:20):
He is Lucas.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Hey, Hey, this is what happens when you've been doing
this for almost a decade.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
Everybody knows.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
Uh, so Aaron, Lucas, Lucas, Aaron, did something happen at
the pub?

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Aaron or what.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
You know?

Speaker 6 (03:39):
I think Lucas Hi, I.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Think the date was it started out very nice.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
I think that Lucas is a good guy, to be honest.
The things that really set me off I think he
just kept like talking over the server her as she
was trying to take her order. I don't know if
he was nervous, but it was more that he had

(04:10):
jokes that he was telling, like a lot of jokes
with like elaborate setups, so they were longer, and and
if the the server came up, he wouldn't pause the
joke to let her talk. He would just be like,
oh no, no, listen to this one and and and keep talking.

Speaker 4 (04:27):
And they weren't they weren't.

Speaker 5 (04:29):
They weren't great.

Speaker 6 (04:30):
So those uh, I'm so sorry.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
Yeah, was that it?

Speaker 2 (04:39):
Well?

Speaker 5 (04:39):
He also spilled beer on me twice. Oh God, seems
like he was pretty drunk. I feel like I still
uh smell like beer.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
From from that. And that wasn't all there. Yeah, he
kept referring to himsel and the third person calling himself. Uh,
he called himself the.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Luke Okay, who does that? I don't know, Lucas, what
are you doing?

Speaker 2 (05:16):
Okay, well, I was trying to be funny and like
kind of keep it light hearted since it was a
first date, you know, as far as the jokes are concerned,
and the Luke is it's just like a nickname. It's
kind of what people just call me, you know, And
you're like, I thought it would be funny, and I

(05:39):
I'm sorry about spilling the beers. I was so freaking nervous.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
No, and that that's what that's okay, it was. I
think it was just a lot of energy for a
first date, and the level of drunkenness on his end
versus mine was just a little uh, I don't know.
We didn't quite meet okay in the middle of that.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Okay, So no second day, I

Speaker 2 (06:05):
Don't think so.
