to get you a second date. You had a first one,
why can't you get the second one.

Speaker 2 (00:19):
Let's say good morning to Jane. Hi, Jane, are you
being arrested? H are you being arrested as we speak?

Speaker 1 (00:25):
The club's coming.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Oh yeah, you caught me.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Well yeah, tell us about Connor, Like, how did you?

Speaker 1 (00:35):
How did you guys meet?

Speaker 4 (00:36):
First of all, Yeah, so I met Connor on Hinge
and you know, he was really cute, so I was like, yeah,
let's meet up. You know, I honestly really liked how
authentic he was. And I think a lot of guys
posture and flex, but you know, he wasn't that type
of dude. And I was like, Okay, let's go on
a date. So they both like stand up comedy. So
we went on a date at a comedy club and

(00:58):
it was really fun, like we both love to laugh,
we love jokes. Sure, And there was a guy who
you know the comedian who roasted him, and I thought
it was really cute how he handled it.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
He roasted Connor at the show, the comedian.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
Yeah, the comedian like pointed him out and was making
jokes about it.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Oh god, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
You know, like how did you get her? That kind
of thing, kind of like playing, you know, putting him
down kind of And everyone was laughing and having a
great time, and he was such a good sport about it. Okay,
And I thought that it went really well. But the
thing is, he never called me back after, so I'm like,
I don't know why he's ghosting me.

Speaker 1 (01:33):
That would have been my wife's worst nightmare.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
We fact racing you When we did the comedy show
in Half Moon Bay.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
She could sense the comedian was zeroing in on her,
so she got up and went to the bathroom. She
was like, no way, lady, know how I love it.
Bring it on. Here's my theory. Hold you on my theory,
so hold on before you get into your theory. So Jane.
So it was a good time though.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Yeah, it was really good. Like it was a great crowd,
you know everyone. It's like there are people that were like,
I'm not gonna laugh like, we're all lacked right right
right afterwards, we like, you know, held hands, walked home,
the whole shebang. So I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
Okay, well, okay, back to you, Corey. What happened to Connor?

Speaker 3 (02:14):
Maybe after the date he went back to the club
to confront the comedian, great not realizing that the comic
had a black belt and he's still unconscious, and.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
What was his discipline? What what was the black belt's discipline?
And were talking to a judo guy or karate guy.
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
Just go with black belt, don't ask me questions. There's
no follow up questions the theory.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
This sounds violent. Let's hope for the best. Fine, he's
just not conscious.

Speaker 2 (02:46):
Jane, We're gonna we're gonna call Connor and see if
we can figure out what happened. You know how we
do this, So we'll have you on the line, obviously,
and we'll ask him a few questions.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
Okay, okay, thank you.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Ultimately love to get you a second date, but let's
see what happens. Hang on the line.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
We'll be back with it. It's It's second Date update
Star one oh one three. More variety from the two thousands.
The nineties and today it's Star one on one three.
It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second date update right now.
We've been chatting with Jane, who seems very sweet. She
and Connor went to a comedy club for their first date.

Speaker 1 (03:15):
I love that. Only clue that we have, Jane is.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
That the comedians zeroed in on Connor and started roasting him.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
But to your point, it was all in fun.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, yeah, okay, well let's call him. We're gonna call
him and figure it out. So go ahead and mute
your phone and we'll be right with it. Hang on
one sec here, Hello.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
Hi, may speak with Connor. Please yeah speaking Hi Connor.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
It's Marcus and Corey from Star one O one three.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Connor, Hey, way all the time. Thanks, Man's I love that. Well.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Do you listen to a second date update?

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (04:01):
I do.

Speaker 5 (04:01):
That's that's probably my favorite.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
Second Because I hang on, I think I think I
might know what this is.

Speaker 5 (04:10):
What this is about? Are you calling about Jane? Yes?

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Yes, Jane, say hi Jane Haven.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
Hey, hey Jane, Well this is easy, is it so far?

Speaker 1 (04:25):
So? Connor?

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Jane really enjoyed your date and thought it was a
lot of fun, but she's feeling like you ghosted and
would love to go out again. Can we make this happen?

Speaker 1 (04:37):
We make some magic happen, like where did you ghost? Listen?

Speaker 6 (04:42):
I genuinely didn't think she was really interested. I didn't
think it was ghosting. I just I didn't want to
get rejected, so I kind of just sidled myself out
of the situation and then stopped responding because I figured
she didn't want a second date.

Speaker 1 (04:57):
Honestly, what gave you that impression?

Speaker 5 (05:00):
We had a really good time when we went out.

Speaker 6 (05:02):
We ended up going to a comedy club, which I
thought was more fun than just like coffee or dinner.

Speaker 5 (05:08):
And it was great. It was great. Most of the
comedians were awesome. We're hilarious.

Speaker 6 (05:12):
One of them was a little, uh, I don't know.
I didn't think he was that funny, Honestly. It was
just kind of like shock and mean humor and kind
of really put his sights on me and and was
kind of needling me a little bit, and I was
laughing along, but just really wouldn't wouldn't let up, and
especially about me being with her. You know, he kept

(05:34):
making comments like, oh, what are you doing with this guy?

Speaker 5 (05:38):
You know?

Speaker 6 (05:39):
You're way out of his league. And it wasn't funny.
It was just kind of mean spirited, and she was
just she was just kind of yucking it up. It
was kind of like you kind of agreed with him
and I was laughing along, but he was kind of hurtful.

Speaker 5 (05:51):
And then you know, it just kept going on, like, hey,
are you you broke?

Speaker 6 (05:54):
You're taking taking her to this half right comedy show?

Speaker 5 (05:57):
What do you do? And you know, I told him
I work in finance and.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
Was pretending to fall asleep on stage and saying I
was boring, and hey, basically looked.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
At her and said, you know, this busin isn't gonna last.
You can do better. You don't belong with with with.

Speaker 6 (06:10):
Him, and she was, you know, kind of noting along
and laughing, and frankly, I thought, you know, maybe he
was hitting on her.

Speaker 5 (06:16):
I was surprised she even left the club with me.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
So then, is what you're saying?

Speaker 6 (06:22):
Yeah, and she seemed to, uh, you know, kind of
go along with it, so I figured she wasn't that interested.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
Okay, Joan, now that we have full transparency, yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
So honestly, Connor, I think you handled it really well.
Like it's you know, it's a comedy shows, but we
all know this is not real, Like these are all jokes, right,
and it's just part of their act. Like I'm pretty
sure the comedians like totally normal that this is their job,
right and honestly, like a lack of it's not true,
you know, like obviously it's such an exaggeration that that's

(06:54):
not who you really are. So yeah, I mean, if
you want, I'd love to see you again.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Honestly, how about no comedy club this time? How about it?

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Yeah, maybe we should skip the comedy that way?

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Does THEE mean no?

Speaker 7 (07:15):
Sorry you we're making this happen. Stop, don't ruin the vibe,
don't ruin the ship, Connor, So can we get a
second date going?

Speaker 5 (07:25):
Here?

Speaker 6 (07:27):
You know, Jane's being so sweet, and I'm embarrassed to
kind of admit I guess how insecure I was in
the fact that she still wants to see me again.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
I just you know, it's okay. Nobody could tell your chance.

Speaker 5 (07:41):
I'd love to see you.

Speaker 1 (07:42):
God, hold on go cow bell, cow Bell of victory.
We've had so many wins this week. It's like a
quarnucopia of winds. I know, look, you guys have each
other's numbers. Just let us know how it goes. Can
you guys hang on
