Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and to day.
It's Star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey
back with second date update this morning.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's everybody's favorite, right, second date update. So we've got
the update on your first date. What we need to
find out is why you're not getting the second date.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Let's bring Jonah on and have him tell us about
our date with Talia, our date, his date. Yeah, you're there,
it'd be weird, Jonah. You there.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Hey, yeah, hey, hey, thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
I'm gonna give you credit because you met someplace super fun.
Tell everybody all about it.

Speaker 4 (00:31):
Yeah, no, it was.

Speaker 3 (00:32):
It was a genuine meet cute.

Speaker 4 (00:34):
You know.

Speaker 3 (00:34):
I was taking an outdoor salsa class and which admittedly
so random by the way, I mean, listen, I thought
it was a good way to meet people, and it
turns out I was right, because I met this amazing girl.
And I'm a good dancer too, so that's kind of
the perfect way to maybe show off a little bit.
But anyway, also very humble, modest, Well, hey, listen, play

(00:56):
your strengths. But met this great girl, and you know,
we hit it off a lot of chemists, so I
asked her out, and we went out the following Friday
just for some Mediterranean food, okay, and we had went
a little dessert, you know, the day was going well,
went to a little Persian cafe. I got some back lava,
and she seemed to be really into it. She even
told me, you know, during the dates thought the conversation

(01:16):
was awesome. She was surprised and she said I was,
you know, kind of low key charming, which I'll take it. Yeah, hey,
but yeah, I don't know. The next morning, she just
she blocked my number and I haven't been able to
contact her since.

Speaker 4 (01:30):
I don't know what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
That's pretty severe. Any thoughts, Corey, Okay, here's what I'm
thinking till me.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Talia headed to Nantucket. She wanted to save her grandfather's
home from a greedy land developer, and so she and
some of her new friends that she meets there, they
try all kinds of crazy ideas to raise money, resorting
them entering the group in a regatta, you know, like
a boat race, a regatta. Okay, they win the whole thing,

(01:58):
and they're all still celebrating.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
That's why she ghosted him.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
Yeah, because she's celebrating in Nantucket with her new friends
at her grandfather's house. That she saved.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
I mean, I like that. That would I would be
very understanding.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I would take that over. Whatever the heck just happened.
Is that one of those Nicholas Sparks numbers?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
No, No, it's not at all. It's a John Cusack number.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
Okay, great, thank you for playing through.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Jonah.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
Let's call her. We're gonna call her. Let's because, I mean,
how do you not love a guy you've met salsa dancing? Seriously,
I didn't hear she blocked his number. That's pretty severe. Yeah,
let's give her a shot.

Speaker 5 (02:35):
Tell you what.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
Let's regroup and we'll play a song and then we
will call her and see what's up. Okay, Jonah, Let's
see if we can get you a second date.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Sounds good?

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Thanks guys, all right, but hang on Second date updates
Star one on one three, will do it next. More
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's
Star one on one three Marcus and Corey doing second
date update. Chat with Jonah about his This is a
textbook meet cute. I think this is my guy re
Salsa class Golden Gate Park. There it was What a
great way to meet some ladies. I mean, it's certainly

(03:06):
creative and by your estimation, Jennah, you're also a good dancer.
So right, yeah, what's not to love?

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Exactly?

Speaker 6 (03:14):
Now.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
The weird part is Talia, his date has blocked him,
ghosted after the date you actually went on. You asked
her out with Persian food, Mediterranean food, the whole thing.
So let's try to figure this out. Go ahead and
mute your phone. We're gonna call her see how she
felt about the date and crossing fingers get you a
second date.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Okay, right, sounds good.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
All right, here we go.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Hello, Hi, Masud Talia, Please.

Speaker 4 (03:46):
This is Talia.

Speaker 2 (03:48):
Hi, Talia, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one O
one three.

Speaker 4 (03:54):
Hey, Hi, I listened to you every morning.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
Wonderful love this. Do you ever listen to second date updates?

Speaker 4 (04:05):
I have heard a couple of them.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Yes, fantastic. Okay, good, So do you want to be
on it?

Speaker 2 (04:12):
I'm wondering if you would like to participate in this episode.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
It's your time, mama.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
Come on, why not? Why not?

Speaker 1 (04:21):
Let's go. So you've been on a date recently, young
man named Jonah? Bring Jonah on from the park. Yeah,
oh yes, okay, let's do this. Jonah, are you there?

Speaker 3 (04:36):
Hey, I'm here, all right.

Speaker 1 (04:39):
This is amazing, Talia, were all adults. He enjoyed your time.
And he's feeling like that you've not only ghosted, but
he's saying that you blocked him and I did.

Speaker 2 (04:52):
Okay, why did you do that?

Speaker 6 (04:57):
Listen? Jonah? Everyone, I'm not mad. I'm just done, like
I'm done.

Speaker 1 (05:04):
Why why?

Speaker 4 (05:07):
Uh?

Speaker 6 (05:07):
Well?

Speaker 4 (05:09):
So everything was great.

Speaker 6 (05:10):
Then he walked me in my car and he said,
stay right here, stay put for us surprise, okay, And
I did. And he pulled out a drone from his
truck and launched it into the parking lot and then
used it to fly a note taped underneath it that read,

(05:31):
will you go on a second.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Date with me? Okay?

Speaker 1 (05:34):
And is that not?

Speaker 2 (05:36):
Note was already written before they even went.

Speaker 1 (05:38):
On the first day. I obviously does his homework. He
found the salsa.

Speaker 4 (05:42):
Class I know.

Speaker 6 (05:44):
I just it was loud and obnoxious and buzzy and
like a for effort dude, But I just it felt
really invasive, and it also like clipped a street light
and just spiraled and ended up like shattering someone's windshield.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
The main point is, that's a nightmare.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
It was just too much for me just to.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
This escalated quickly. I thought he was just mad because
it was obnoxious, but no, apparently there was a situation
and if you will, Jonah, did somebody's windshield actually get shattered?

Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:29):
But he was okay, So he was really cool about it,
and I venoted him on the spot like I can totally.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
I can't.

Speaker 3 (06:35):
Like, first of all, thank you for pointing out romantic gesture.
I thought, going above and beyond, and it's all this
is not just any normal drone alright, this is like
a really really cool drunk alright.

Speaker 5 (06:47):
But it's like it's the drums still, Okay, Okay, it's
not a big deal with the windshield because the guy
let me pay him right there on Venmo. Like it
would be different if I was like, oh, let's get
out of here and I tried to haskaedattle, but it
was I feel like I.

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Proved, hey, I'm responsible for mistakes, and it was embarrassing,
but I figured, hey, we laughed it off. I thought, hey,
cool drone, right, that should be the takeaway.

Speaker 2 (07:10):
Now that's kind of odd to me because how do
I know you have been filming our date the whole time.

Speaker 1 (07:15):
Well you could, you're a drone.

Speaker 2 (07:17):
Not if it's by up enough.

Speaker 6 (07:19):
It's just weird.

Speaker 4 (07:20):
Oh makes me a creepy. It was very loud. It
was a loud one Talia.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
So no on a second date?

Speaker 4 (07:27):
Is it?

Speaker 1 (07:27):
So why why not? I mean again, I'm going to
go back to this sounds romantic to me in a
weird twenty first century way.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
I mean I get the intention.

Speaker 6 (07:37):
It was just really too chaotic and too invasive, and
it just like ruined the vibe for me.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
All right, I mean I kind of get it. I
do really, Yes, Okay, I.

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Think it's a silly thing to kind of drop. Felt
like a great night and potential, But I you know,
I understand, and I'll find someone who you know, she
is how cool? Don't there?

Speaker 5 (07:58):
