Chris calls us to see if we can connect with Julie. They met at a networking event in SF recently and really hit it off! Lots of texting and funny banter and they FINALLY had dinner a couple weeks ago. Everything was going so smoothly (and he rarely dates so this is a big deal for him) and in the middle of dinner she said she "wasn't feeling well" and left abruptly. He followed up that night on text....no word back. Was it something he said about her daughter?

stepped out on a limb here, but right in the
middle of dinner, she looks at me and she says
that she wasn't feeling well and she just got up
and left, okay, And so I was concerned about her welfare.

(00:50):
So I texted her later that night, you are you okay?

Speaker 4 (00:53):
And sure, not a word.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
So she's ghosting me and I don't have a clue.
While because I thought we were doing an okay, and
I'm just trying to make sure that she was not
having some sort of medical issue.

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Here's what I love about this is that because San
Francisco is San Francisco, you could have a networking event
and still live locally. I'm guessing Chris is a Bay
Area transplant because I did hear an.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Act accident there at the end. Some southerns So where
are you from, Chris?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
I'm from a town in Tennessee called Memphis, the birthplace
of rock and roll.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
I knew it anyway. Sorry, I'm getting off track, but.

Speaker 3 (01:28):

Speaker 1 (01:38):
Why do you have such a look on your face, Corey.
I'm just trying to, you know, get my theory in there,
and you just keep talking. Oh I'm sorry, Here's what
I'm thinking. Go ahead, please. She leaves. She jumps in
her car, which happens to be a Dolorean. She hits
eighty eight miles an hour and ends up in nineteen
fifty five. I know this, h yeah, I don't. I

(01:59):
don't know if you're familiar with Corey's theories, Chris, but
there you go. That might have been what happened to Julie.
We're not sure.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
You never know.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
I'll tell you what, Corey.

Speaker 3 (02:08):

update Star one on one three, what variety from the
two thousands, the nineties and today it's Star one on
one three. It's Marcus and Corey doing Second Date Update.
We've got Chris on the phone, and he and Julie met.
They both live locally.

Speaker 1 (02:33):
But their companies happened to do their thing in the city.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
So Chris, this was a few weeks ago, and then
you guys did a dinner and the only clue that
we have is that Julie left the dinner abruptly.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
She said she didn't feel well.

Speaker 2 (02:47):
Something happened, and Chris has been radio silence since then,
like she's ghosted.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
And I just y'at didn't know if she had some
sort of medical problem, was concerned about it. But she's
going she just vanquished.
