will and our expertise about why you're not getting a
second date, and then we try to figure out why
and snag that.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Second Don't forget about our dating expertise.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Right, I'm not going to double down that.
Speaker 1 (00:25):
Let's say good morning to Mary Anne Hi, Mari Anne.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
Hi.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Hey, So dating sucks, we know this, but yeah, tell
us about tell us about Justin because I understand, uh,
he has hasn't ghosted, but he's not really been available
for a second date that you're trying to hint at.
So let's talk about how you guys met. Let's talk
about the first date. Take it away.
Speaker 3 (00:50):
So, yeah, we have been chatting online for a while
on the coffee Meat's bagel up and you know, eventually
we decided to do like a little late lunch on
a Friday afternoon and just not go back to work
and nice. Yeah, and I was really surprised when he
walked in with flowers that was really sweet and the
(01:12):
conversation was cool and natural. We like, you know, each
had a drink. I did order wine and he got
a double scotch, which thought was a weird choice.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Nothing says I'm not going back to work like a
like a double scotch.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
But it was exactly. But yeah, lunch kind of went fast,
and he's just sort of been busy lately in text,
so I'm just kind of trying to figure out if
he's worth my time.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
So again to my point, like he's not ghosting, but
he's not making himself.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Available available exactly.
Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, all right, Okay, Well here's the thing. Okay, temperatures
have been high lately. You know, it's it's more summer
in September and the end of August than any other time.
You said he had a double skytch or maybe more. Uh,
he's headed home heat stroke cut to currently in the ICU.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Good lord, he's not dead. How do we go from
God's stroke?
Speaker 2 (02:12):
It's a danger.
Speaker 4 (02:14):
I hope he's happened.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Yeah it If that's what happened, then he has a
reason for not getting back to just.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Dowe er does it have to be direct to the ICU?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Do you want it colorful or not?
Speaker 1 (02:26):
Sorry, mari Anne. All right, well, let's call him. Uh,
let's call him and figure out what he thought of
the date, and hopefully that'll give us some insight. Hopefully
we can get a second date. I'm gonna play a
song and then we'll jump on it. Can you hold
the line? Perfect?
Speaker 5 (02:41):
We'll do it.
Speaker 1 (02:42):
Next. Second date updates Star one, O one three or
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and to day.
It's Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey
doing second date update. Chatting with Mary Anne. She met
a guy by the name of Justin and I love this.
Y'all did a late lunch and then just decided not
to go back to work. Respect.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
I love that.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
The problem is he is now unavailable, both emotionally and otherwise.
So let's see if we can get him on the
phone and see what he thought of the date. Marianne,
you're probably already muted, but go ahead and mute your phone.
Speaker 4 (03:13):
Here we go, Okay, Hello, Hi, may speak with Justin?
Speaker 2 (03:26):
Please?
Speaker 6 (03:27):
Yeah, this is Justin.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Hi Justin, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one one three.
Speaker 3 (03:33):
Hi.
Speaker 4 (03:34):
Hello, what's going on? Do you?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
I'm sorry do you ever listen to our radio show?
Speaker 6 (03:40):
Yeah, yeah, I know how you guys are.
Speaker 4 (03:42):
Yeah, okay, Well.
Speaker 2 (03:43):
We're doing something called second Date Update. Are you familiar
with that?
Speaker 4 (03:47):
Uh?
Speaker 6 (03:48):
No, I don't think so.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
What we do is we talked to somebody who went
on a first date, and then we call the person
that they went on the date with and see how
it was from their perspective. We were wondering if you
wouldn't mind talking to us on our show about your date.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
The reason we do that is because in this case,
it's a lady named Marianne that would like to go
out on a second date with you, and she's feeling
like you're kind of fading on her, So we're wondering
how the date went from your perspective.
Speaker 6 (04:15):
Oh okay, uh I was. I was excited about meeting her.
We had been chatting and stuff, and I was really
looking forward to getting together with her. So I showed
up and I actually brought flowers for her, right and
as soon as I gave her the flowers, she started
sneezing and she and she was just like, oh my god,
(04:36):
I hate these flowers. And she's like, she said she
was super allergic and like how I mean, how was
I supposed to know that? And she was She seemed
really upset about it. She actually like took the flowers
and threw them in the garbage can before we even
sat down for lunch. It was kind of crazy and.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Like, right rude, hold on, like right in front of me.
Speaker 6 (04:55):
Yeah, like you're at the hostess station, all.
Speaker 2 (04:58):
Right, Okay, Okay, she's she's on the phone very because she.
Speaker 6 (05:03):
Happened.
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Okay, so she throws the flowers out in front of you,
and then you guys just go on with lunch like
nothing happened.
Speaker 6 (05:12):
I mean, I tried to go on with lunch like
nothing happened, but she kept bringing it up. She like
talked about she missed the flowers, like and and then
also had the audacity to make several comments about how
guys never do anything nice anymore. I was like, why
just gotten flowers?
Speaker 3 (05:30):
Okay, it's not my fault. It's not my fault that
I have these allergies. Do you want me to be
sneezing the entire meal?
Speaker 4 (05:38):
No?
Speaker 6 (05:38):
But I mean, like throwing, like just grabbing them and
throwing away was kind of rude. I feel like you
should have at least apologized after this time, like, I
get it, it's a bad reaction, it's not an ideal
thing to have happened.
Speaker 2 (05:50):
But would have also offered the flowers to somebody else,
you know.
Speaker 6 (05:53):
Yeah, it was just weird and rude.
Speaker 3 (05:55):
And I don't know, I'm tight about it. I just like, yeah,
the gesture was really nice. I just didn't I hated
the flowers. I guess if I'm being honest, And you know, you.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Didn't even just say that the flowers were nice. You're
just immediately rude about like, oh I hate these and
threw them away.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
I was like, well, again, it's not my fault that
I have allergies.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Well you could have explained that you had alogies, not
throw them away like that.
Speaker 3 (06:20):
I just feel like I don't need to apologize for that.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
You don't need to do anything, and I don't. We
don't need to go out again.
Speaker 3 (06:27):
Well you don't have to be such a diva about it.
You can just chill out about it. It was not
a big deal.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
This is going nowhere.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
Everybody hang on.
Speaker 5 (06:35):
Uh wow, there was a lot to unpack there. I
think there was be a more polite way to do that, sure,
but also understanding that maybe that would have been offensive anyway,
doesn't matter. Second Date update seven oh five weekday mornings,
