Kyle thought his Hayes Valley date with Natalie was a total win—great banter, travel chaos stories, dive-bar love, and matching “chaos goblin” siblings. But the next day? Nothing. Ghosted.

It's Star one on one three, it's Marcus back with
second date update. So for a win this morning, let's
bring our guy on. Kyle, are you there? Hey, Yeah,
I'm here, Hey man, good morning. So just a quick
explainer on second date update. Kyle and I are going
to call his date Natalie because she has ghosted since
their first date, and we're going to try to figure
out if we can get him a second date or
if something went sideways.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Figure this out.

Speaker 1 (00:21):
We're gonna figure this out together. We'll have you on
the line, we'll mute you out, but let's set the scene.
So tell me about Natalie. I understand you guys met online.
How did the dinner go?

Speaker 2 (00:30):
You know, I think the dinner went great. And she
was stunning, Like right off the bat, she was sharp.
She had an awesome dry sense.

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Of humor that I love, Okay, and we.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Just we got along great. We talked about like different
travel mishaps and our favorite dive bars, and we really,
honestly we bonded a lot over having siblings, okay, and
we called them chaos goblins, and I legitimately thought we
had an awesome night. But now here we are calling
you guys because I yeah, the whole ghost thing, don't.

I don't get it.

Speaker 1 (01:04):
What's it like not being the problem children and meeting
the other non problem child.

Speaker 2 (01:08):
Oh it's amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
I love it. But it was a good night.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
Huh yeah, all around good night. I had no complaints,
no red flags, no nothing.

Speaker 1 (01:16):
Okay, Well, let's call her. We're gonna we'll play a song,
we'll regroup a little bit, and we will give Natalie
a shout and see what she thought of the date. Okay,
it's Marcus and we're in the middle of second date update,
chatting with our guy Kyle. He and Natalie went to
dinner in Hayes Valley in San Francisco, which is a
fantastic few blocks of restaurants if you think it about
a date night or whatever. Now, Kyle, you were telling
him about the food off here, and that was pretty good.

Conversation was good. But she has ghosted. So are you
ready to make this phone call?

Speaker 2 (01:44):
I'm ready? All right, do it?

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Deep breath, Here we go, go ahead and meet your phone.
Here we go. I'm gonna try to figure out how
the date went from her perspective. Here we go. Hello, Hi,
I was looking for Natalie. Please hi Natalie. It's Marcus
from Star one on one three. How are you.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
Hi?

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Good morning. Do you listen to us in the morning?

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Yeah? Sometimes?

Okay, are you familiar with second date update at all?

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Yes?

Looks like I don't have a choice, do I?

I mean, Kina, I mean, unless you're not cool. All
the cool kids are doing it. I'm just not.

Oh great, it is Kyle on the phone. Hey, Kyle,
are you there?

Speaker 2 (02:40):
Yeah, I'm here, Dick, all right.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
Let's do this you guys. So, Natalie, Kyle had fun
on your date? Would like to go out again?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Okay?

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Did you ghost? That's my first question?

Speaker 4 (02:53):
Yeah, I may have. I may have ghosted.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Okay, did something happen? Did he do something? She's not
feeling it?

Speaker 4 (03:02):
You know, within the first few minutes of the date.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Uh huh, it just got.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Really medical, you know, like he started talking about his
sleep apnea, this like earwax situation that he has a
mold he's keeping an eye on.

Speaker 4 (03:21):
And you know, I came from pasta not a health update.

Speaker 1 (03:26):
I see. Okay, Kyle, did you overshare your medical issues?

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I mean I talked about some things. I don' don't
think I over shared. It was just conversation going back
and forth.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
No, I feel like it.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Was a definite overshare. I don't know how many people
talk about ear wax on the first date, you know
what I mean?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
Sure?

Speaker 4 (03:47):
And then halfway through, yeah, he asked if I wanted,
like if I was interested in partnering with him for
a couple's cleanse. He wants to try.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
What does that even mean? Like a dual enema?

I don't I don't know what that means.

That doesn't sound like hot stone massage to me. That
sounds invasive when I.

So I don't know. No, that's like you. You you
keep each other accountable for doing just like a cleanse,
like I've had friends do it with their boyfriends and
girlfriends to like.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Like a juice cleanse. Yeah yeah, yeah, Oh I went
elsewhere with that, Okay, No, like honestly, like.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
They almost told me like it like they told me
like it builds trust, Like you learn a lot about
someone when you're when your systems are in sync and
you're doing the thing like dietary things.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
Okay, so you're talking about just like an accountability partner,
not a full on and I'm a buddy god no, no,
I mean you never know you, Kyle. I don't know.
All of a sudden, I'm learning more about Kyle.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Uh yeah, just a lot. Yeah.

There are certain things you don't talk about when you
meet somebody right off the bat, and you know, politics, religion,
and I think medical records need to be added to
that list.

Sure, so, uh let me ask the question, though, I
feel like he likes you a lot, Natalie, could we
try a second date now that we've got some self awareness?
I don't know.
