Speaker 2 (00:03):
It's Marcus. It's Friday, good morning. We're doing second date
date on y'all know how we do it? I forgot
to do so there's a gentleman holding his name also Marcus.
I'm going to try not to confuse myself right now.
It's going to be touching going Marcus, are you there?

Speaker 3 (00:17):
Yeah, I'm here.

Speaker 1 (00:18):
So let me explain second date up there real quick
before we start. So, Marcus went on a date with
a lady named Jade.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
You DM me.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Because she has ghosted and the date sounds pretty cool.
What we'll do eventually is call Jade and have Marcus
on the line, have him listen in and try to
figure out if he did something wrong or if she's
just been busy, or if there was some sort of
miscommunication that has caused him.

Speaker 4 (00:38):
To ghost her. So are you ready?

Speaker 3 (00:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
So let's lay it out, like how did you guys meet?
And then what how did how was the date?

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Like what happened?

Speaker 3 (00:46):
So you know, I was doing an online thing founder
on one of the little dating apps. We're out in
Salmonataylo area, and like after're out, say let's let's go
to bars some drinks, you know, maybe eat a little
appetizer or something. Keep it light, keep it super light.
I don't want to go all out, you know. I
just gradually worked my way into it. Who have a fun?

(01:09):
You know, everything was like cool with drink. Some pool
were laughing. She's batting her eyes at me. You know,
we shared some fries. I felt like we were really quickened. Okay,
you know, I don't know if I farted. I don't
know what happened, but I just know that she ghosted
in the wind like a fart.

Speaker 4 (01:24):
I love the metaphor. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
We're going to regroup for a song and then we
will give her a shout, and like I said, we'll
see what's up. Hopefully we can get you a second date.
Can you hang on the line. Yeah, Well, variety from
the two thousands, the nineties, and today star one on
one three.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
It is Marcus and we're in the middle of second
date update.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
I think this is the first time in the ten
year history of second eight update we have somebody named
Marcus who is called in about his date. So, as
I said about ten minutes ago, I'm going try not
to confuse myself.

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Marcus. Are you ready to call Jade?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
Okay, So we're gonna try to figure out why she ghosted.
Go ahead and meet your phone. I'll see what she
says about your date.

Speaker 1 (02:00):
Here we go, Hello, I might speak to Jade. Please
speaking Hi, Jade, this is Marcus. I do a radio
morning show for iHeartRadio out of San Francisco on Star

(02:23):
one O one three.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I don't suppose you listen to you. I've heard you before, Okay.
I appreciate that pretty name, by the way. First of all, sidebar.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Second of all, So we're wondering if you might go
on the air with me real quick. I would love
to talk to you about a date you've been on recently.
We're doing second Date Update.

Speaker 5 (02:41):
Oh gosh, okay.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Have you heard second Date Update?

Speaker 5 (02:46):
I've heard it before.

Speaker 4 (02:47):
Okay, but well, here we are. Do you want me
to bring Marcus on now or later?

Speaker 5 (02:57):
Oh it's Marcus. Okay, it's up to you.

Speaker 4 (03:03):
Okay, fine, Marcus.

Speaker 3 (03:06):
Either Yeah, I'm here, Okay.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
I mean, listen, we're all adults, so let's try to
figure this out. Jade, Marcus. Okay, we can do that.

Speaker 5 (03:16):
Too, right into it. Okay, I think you're a nice guy, Marcus.
I really do like I like you. It was just
a few things that kind of were I'm not gonna
say red flags, but just kind of this is a
little weird, a little weird, okay, just progressively got more

(03:36):
weird as it went on.

Speaker 4 (03:38):
What happened?

Speaker 5 (03:39):
Okay, Well, first of all, we went out for drinks,
and every time we sipped he would say cheers to us,
and I just was like, this is our first day,
you know. I mean maybe it was like a quirky thing,
and that's fine that you do that, but I just
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
It was little little odds after a drink, the.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Cheers to us, after every sup. It just was kind
of that part was just a little positive. That's fine.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
I could have got over that part, right, Marcus.

Speaker 5 (04:15):
Well Radio Marcus, Okay, So I could have got over
that part, no problem. I could have got over that part.

Speaker 4 (04:20):
Were you still into it at that point? Like you
hadn't ridden him off yet? Had you not all the
way off?

Speaker 5 (04:25):
You know, I understand, you know with online you never
know what you're gonna get. The problem really is that
at that point it just got stupid, Like I just
was like, Okay, what are we doing here? What do
you personally feel like? He told me that he was
technically between leases, which to me is like borderline homeless.
I just didn't know I was signing up for dating

(04:46):
a hobosexual, which that's fine, that's where he's at.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
What now, a.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Hobosexual?

Speaker 4 (04:53):
What does that mean?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
I mean, if you just break it down, he's just
trying to get some I don't know if he's trying
to find some place to live. I wasn't trying to
be that lady.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
Okay, I don't get it. That hobo sexual.

Speaker 5 (05:05):
Basically means that he told me, admitted to me, which
I don't respect. That he's been crashing in his ex
girlfriend's spare bedroom because he doesn't have a place to go.
And I just am not trying to date somebody to
be the next place that he has to go. Like, No,
I didn't want to do that. That was too much
for me.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Got it, South, Clint, get in my own place?

Speaker 4 (05:23):
How come you don't have your own place, Marcus.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
It's weird.

Speaker 5 (05:26):
You know.

Speaker 3 (05:26):
I had a little situation. She needed help for me,
so I was trying to help out. But the same time,
like I'm trying to get my credit rate and the
pocket a little tight because I'm in between jobs too.
So I'm in between jobs and in between leases. Wow,
so I'm just in between uh huh. But yeah, look

(05:46):
it's on the horizon. That's fine.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
I respect that, but also like, I'm not trying to
be in a relationship with somebody that is not established,
Like you should probably focus on your stuff and not
trying to date me.

Speaker 4 (05:58):
I could do both, Okay, not with me, all right, Okay,
if you.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Ever came over to the spare room, it's totally fun.

Speaker 5 (06:06):
I'm not okay with that. That's actually really weird. And no,
I'm not that type of girl.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
Sorry, fair enough, hang on, there was a lot of
a lot of loose ends.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
Second date updates seven oh five weekday mornings.
