Speaker 1 (00:00):
A variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one O one three, It's Marcus and Corey
and we're back with it this morning. Everybody's favorite second
date Update.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
We just want to get you a second date. Yes,
so maybe you met on the apps. You go on
a first date, everything is fun, you feel the chemistry,
and then you get ghosted.

Speaker 3 (00:19):
Let's talk to Mia Mia.

Speaker 4 (00:20):
Hi, Yeah, Hi, Hey, we're here to offer.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Assistance with this guy, Steve.

Speaker 1 (00:25):
So what can you tell us about, like how you
guys met and then let's talk about your first date
real quick.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Okay, so I understand you guys met online.

Speaker 5 (00:33):
Yeah, and I really liked him. He's good looking and
he's charming, and so we started chatting because I liked
a picture of him at a music festival and I
love that kind of stuff. I love live music. So
we just kind of started talking about that kind of
stuff and just we went back and forth, kind of

(00:55):
getting to know each other. And then he asked me
to go for a height and so he lives in
Palo Alto and I'm over in San Jose. So we
decided to meet up in Coopercino, and I thought the
date was amazing, Like, we had a great time hiking
as far as I know anyways, And there was just

(01:16):
like never a dull moment. The conversation flowed and everything,
and I thought for sure this was going somewhere. But
he's totally ghosted me. So I I don't know. I'm
just clueless by the way.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
I love the way that you kind of opened the door.
I don't even know if it was on purpose liking
a picture of him online. I did the same thing
to my wife. Oh yeah, my sister came to one
of our shows in Golden Gate Park and she posted
a picture of me on stage, and my wife, didn't
even know her at the time, liked the picture and
I was like, who's this babe?

Speaker 3 (01:52):
Like and my pics.

Speaker 4 (01:54):
Anyway, fifteen years later, we have a child.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Anyway, Love your story.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
You guys went hiking right?

Speaker 3 (01:59):
Oh yes, what's your theory?

Speaker 4 (02:01):
Yeah, here's what I'm thinking. Okay, tell me maybe he slipped.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
And kind of fell into a cave like they split
up in their separate ways.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
Is a cave or a crevasse?

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Well, it's just the hold that thought.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
So what happens is when he falls he wedges himself
between the rock wall and a boulder cut to recovering
from removing his own arm after one hundred and twenty
seven hours.

Speaker 5 (02:23):
Dude, Oh, I don't think that's the case here, just
thrown it out.

Speaker 3 (02:30):
It never is, It never is. Thank you, Corey. That
was enlightening. You're welcome. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (02:38):
Now that you've traumatized for Mia, All right, let's call him.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Why don't we just call him?

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah, to find out.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
Okay, So just take a deep breath.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
We're going to play a song, we're going to regroup,
and then we'll give Steve a shout. Ultimately, we want
to get you a second date. But just hang on
the line. Okay, we'll be right back.

Speaker 5 (02:55):
All right. Thanks.

Speaker 1 (02:56):
Second Date updates Star one oh one three more variety
from the two thousands, nineties and today it's Star one
on one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing second
date update. We've been chatting with Mia, so she and
Steve met online. She liked one of his picks and
then this came to that, and uh, and here we are,
and you guys went they went hiking down there in
the South Bay and Mia, you said earlier, like you

(03:17):
thought this was going.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
To go somewhere.

Speaker 5 (03:19):
Yes, I like at the end of the day, like
we were talking about, you know, like, oh, we should
do this again sometime and yeah, like you know what
I mean, Like it sounded like there would at least
be a second date. And I have not heard from
him once.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Hear the frustration in her voice.

Speaker 1 (03:35):
Let's call him and see what's up. Like I said, ultimately,
I'd love to get you a second date. But please
mute your phone and let's ring Steve.

Speaker 4 (03:42):
Here we go, Hello, Hene speak with Steve. Please.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
Yeah, this is Steve.

Speaker 4 (03:58):
Hi, Steve. It's Marcus and Worry from Star one to
Win three.

Speaker 6 (04:02):
Steve Ty.

Speaker 4 (04:06):
Hello, Steve.

Speaker 2 (04:07):
We do a radio morning show here in the Bay Area. Yeah,
and we're doing something called second date updates, where we
call somebody about a date they went on.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I suppose you listen to our show.

Speaker 6 (04:19):
Yeah, I don't know. I maybe you've heard of you guys.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Sure, it's okay.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
We're delightful though, so keep that in mind.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
Would you mind being on the year with us?

Speaker 6 (04:26):
Okay? Uh sure, yeah, I guess.

Speaker 1 (04:29):
Okay, So we want to ask you about a date,
like Corey said, it was with a woman named Mia.
She thought a second date was a sure thing, and
she enjoyed your company, thought you were a good looking dude.
We want to try to broke her a second date,
but she's feeling like you ghosted.

Speaker 3 (04:48):
So what's the deal? Did you enjoy the date? How
to go?

Speaker 6 (04:53):
To be honest me, it was really lovely and I
liked getting to know her. She's yeah, she seemed really nice.
She was a nurse. She's like super into her job,
straight dedicated, right, I like that, that's a cool thing.
I also into my I'm a marketing manager. I love
my work all that stuff. But I felt like things
were going well, you know, until she like she like

(05:14):
tripped over a rock and fall into this like little stream,
and she like laughed it off, saying it was a
refreshing dip and helped her up, and she she was
just trying to like cool off. Uh yeah. So later
we were having coffee and a dog came up to
our table and she started playing with it, and you know,

(05:35):
she was saying, like that's a good sign, like we
should get a dog together. And I thought, you know,
I thought it was just yeah, I thought it was cute,
but I didn't think too much of it anyway, and
I just kind of played along or whatever. But I
found out later that she's a professional clown on weekends. Okay,

(05:56):
and I am terrified of clowns. My cousin made me
watch it when I was a little kid, and that just,
you know, ruined me for the rest of my life.
Like I've just been horrified of clowns.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
I couldn't date somebody who dressed up as a clown?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Are you serious?

Speaker 4 (06:15):
Dead serious?

Speaker 3 (06:16):
Are you serious?

Speaker 4 (06:17):
I'm dead serious.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
It's that's it.

Speaker 6 (06:20):
It's so weird.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
I don't understand.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
Yeah, but she's gonna come home one day, she's gonna
make up on or oversized shoes and like a bottle Seltzer,
it's gonna be weird. I got three words for you,
Marcus John Wayne Gacy, geez.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
All right, well, and I already have nightmares about clowns.

Speaker 3 (06:39):
So I don't know, okay, Steve, thank you for sharing.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
So the part of this what we do is is
Mia is actually listening because she really wanted to know
why you ghost there, and so Mia, are you there?

Speaker 5 (06:52):
Yeah, I'm here. That was that took everything I had
not to chime in when.

Speaker 1 (07:00):
This seems and everything this seems really lame to me,
if I'm being real, I.

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Don't even know if I buy it, Like seriously, that's
the reason you go to me just because I do
some gigwork on the weekends.

Speaker 6 (07:11):
It's not gigwork. I don't mind gigwork. It's the fact
that you dress up like a clown. You don't understand
like I was. I was traumatized as a small child
by watching like just this. You know, they, like I said,
my older cousins showed me it. They're like babysitting me
one time. It's stuck with me for so I've had
I had nightmares for years.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
I'm not a killer clown. I do kids parties. It's
just like a fun cute thing I do for kids.

Speaker 6 (07:40):
Like it's not, I mean, there's nothing cute or fun
about it. I can't.

Speaker 1 (07:44):
I mean respect to your trauma, But isn't dating hard enough?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
Like can we get past this, Steve? Or is this
like an absolutely.

Speaker 6 (07:52):
Without dating a clown?

Speaker 5 (07:53):
All right?

Speaker 6 (07:54):
That's you got to draw the line somewhere, and that
is my line.

Speaker 5 (07:57):
All right, Honestly, you're the clown here, I mean, just
plouning yourself out of a relationship with what you're doing
