Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands of the nineties and
today it's Star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey.
We're back with second date Update. Here's Corey to explain.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
It's the second date update is when we talk to
you about a first date you went on and we
try to help you figure out why you can't get
a second date.

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Yep.

Speaker 1 (00:14):
So what's up to Nina? Hi?

Speaker 2 (00:16):
Nina?

Speaker 1 (00:18):
Hey? Right? Hy? What are you doing? How are you
You're doing?

Speaker 3 (00:23):
Okay, I'm doing well, what am I doing? I'm talking
to you?

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Yes, that is true. I want to talk about your date.
So can you fill us in on this? Robert guy,
how did you guys? How did you meet? And then
what did you guys do on your first date?

Speaker 3 (00:39):
Yeah? Oh my gosh. So well, we actually met on
match okay, which you know sometimes is embarrassing to met
but whatever, we met on there and we had some
really great conversations. You know, we talked a lot, and
I was really excited to meet up with him, and
we decided to get some you know, dinner and drinks

(01:00):
in San Jose. Sure, And I don't know, I just
really liked him a lot, Like right from the beginning.
I felt like our conversation went really well, like even
before I met him, just like be a text, and
then when I saw him in person, like super cute,
had a great job. I mean, he's a lawyer.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Hello about him?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Yeah, I mean, he just was so great, And I
don't know. I thought the banter was really great, and
you know, he was witty. He had some jokes here
and there at dinner, and yeah, we went back and
forth pretty well. And the food, oh my gosh, the
food was delicious. The wine was so good. But no
kiss at the end.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
No kiss. I was going to ask nothing, huh, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:42):
Just like a hug. And you know, I don't know.
For some reason, he just like completely ghosted me. So
I don't know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
I don't like him as much anymore as I two
minutes ago. What do you thinking, Corey.

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Robert's a lawyer? Right. Let's say Roberts headed to his
car and by gangs surrounds the car. They're not happy
with his defense strategy for one of their cases. Cut
to all of his fingers are broken.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
Up.

Speaker 1 (02:11):
Barry sopranos, of you more Lincoln lawyer, thank you. I
don't know, Nina, that sounds pretty far fetched to me. Well,
they always I'm thinking he just ghosted. Nina has no
idea how to take you right now, Nina, let's just
give him a call. We'll get to the bottom of this. Okay, okay,
all right, let's play a song. We'll get to it.
It's Second Date Updates Star one O one three more
variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's

(02:33):
Star one O one three. It's Marcus and Corey doing
Second Date Update. We've been chatting with Nina about her
date with Robert. We liked Robert until he ghosted. Yeah, so, Nina,
he was cute. He's a lawyer, means he's got a
good job, assuming he's got all his teeth. Just kidding.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Yeah, no, he has great Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Okay, well let's figure out where he went. Go ahead
and mutu your phone. We're gonna call him right now. Okay, Okay,
here we go.

Speaker 4 (03:04):
Hello.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
This is Robert, Hi Robert, This is Marcus and Corey
calling from Star one oh one to three.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Good morning, Good morning, are you hello. I don't suppose
you listen to our radio show, do you in the morning.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I can't say that I'm familiar with that.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
That's fine. Wondering if you might be have a moment
to participate in a segment we're doing. It's called second
Date Update. Would love to ask you about a date
you've been on recently on the air if that's okay,
that's fine, Okay. Her name is Nina, and she really
enjoyed your date. She thought you were very handsome and

(03:43):
says you have great teeth. She's feeling like you ghosted,
So we wanted to know how the date went for you. Ultimately,
would love to see you about getting her a second date.
But what are your thoughts? How did it go for you?

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I remember Nina, well, you know, we met on Match
and we were having a good conversation on the phone
and everything. So we decided to go to a really
nice restaurant. You know, we had good food and wine.
But you know, one thing that came up over and
over was the fact that I was a lawyer and

(04:17):
told yeah, and you know, you could really tell a
lot about a woman by her family, and it kind
of seemed like, you know, she was trying to have
me deal with her family problems. How do you mean
so I guess her dad is trying to sue her

(04:38):
mom or something for a custody of a family cat.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Oh wow.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
And then yeah, and then her brother who's on trial
for like numerous home invasions and I think he stole
a car or something. She wanted me to represent him.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Is that what you do?

Speaker 4 (04:57):
And that's the funny thing. I'm actually a patent lawyer,
so I deal with intellectual property, not drug busts.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
So you're not a criminal lawyer.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
Don't all the lawyers know all the lawyerly things.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
No, No, that's not it works.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
So I told her that I was a patent lawyer,
and then.

Speaker 3 (05:18):
She went asked me.

Speaker 4 (05:19):
If I had any friends that could help her out.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
Uh huh, Okay, I'm starting to get it now. Okay,
I'll tell you what, Robert. Sorry, if you have a second,
Nina's actually listening right now, and I'd like to bring
her on. Nina.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
I mean, I can't believe that's the reason he ghosted, Like,
don't people like talking about what they do for a living?

Speaker 1 (05:42):
I Robert, Robert, I was just looking for some help.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
I mean, okay, I cannot help you with your issue.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
Yeah okay, but like I mean, you know, you know
people and it's like I'm sure you're passionate about what
you do. I just thought what you did was really interesting. Gosh,
I was just trying to have conversation with you.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
My friends don't want to be punked for free legal
AFFIESI there.

Speaker 3 (06:07):
Okay, you were taking this way too seriously. I was
just asking a few questions.

Speaker 1 (06:12):
He kind of reminds me that.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
I was like, I haven't heard from somebody in a
long time, and all of a sudden they're like, hey,
I hear Olivia Rodriguez coming to town.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
You got the hook up?

Speaker 4 (06:21):
Yeah, it just felt more like an interrogation, and I
think she really should hire somebody instead of trying to
get it for free.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
