More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's star one on one three. Like to welcome everybody
back to what we call second date update.
Speaker 2 (00:07):
You know, they say that love will keep you together.
They do say that, and we're trying to find that
love for you. After your first date? Why aren't you
getting a second one?
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Let's get Ruben on the phone. Ruben to you there, Hey,
what's up, guys? What's up dude? So Caitlin, huh, why
don't we Yeah, let's talk about it. I understand that
she has ghosted, but let's let's pull it all the
way back. How did you guys meet first of all?
And then and then run us through the first date
real quick?
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Yeah, so we've met on match and first date super casual,
went to a wine bar and San Ramon's kind of
you know, the one of these old places kind of
talk to away in a shopping center. Sure, yeah, I
was definitely drawn to Caitlin's sense of humor is just
(00:58):
super funny, great conversation, and she kept the conversation going
all night. And she also was like low key, a
little salmonier. She's like I was really impressed with her,
like tasted wine.
Speaker 1 (01:12):
I was just gonna.
Speaker 3 (01:15):
Yeah, I was fantastic. Yeah, it was great. She ordered
a bottle I'd never heard of. It was it was awesome.
We had a charcouterie board of course move I guess
with a wine spot and yeah, I thought it was
a nice touch. And uh, tried some exotic cheeses I've
(01:38):
never tried before this. They were great. It was awesome.
And then you know, we hit up some movies afterwards,
and uh, you know, I was stilling pretty like I
felt really good about the first date. I felt like
there would be a second date. And now that's not
(01:59):
the case. She has not hit me up, text call
and nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:04):
Well, from what you're telling us, it sounds like you
guys really made a connection.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
I mean I felt we did, like you know, the
like I said everything, Like the conversation was great, Like
the whole experience was like fantastic. I mean, I could,
like ask for a better first date spot.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Corey, do you have any idea what happened?
Speaker 2 (02:21):
So here's what I'm thinking. Caitlin has a flight. Before
she gets on the plane, she has one too many
tunis pre flights. What's a tony, It's a martini? But
I like to call them tonies. Okay, one too many Martuinis.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Cut too.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
She's duct taped mid flight and is now in airport jail,
no access to phone.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
Hold on, she went from wine to Martini's.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
She gets nervous when she flies.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
She fairly also goes into a coma. All right, sure,
thanks for standing by on that, Rubin. Why don't we
just why don't we just call her and find out
my man? Can you hang on for a song? Yeah,
all right, let's we'll have you on the line when
we dial her up, but we'll ask her how the
date went, and ultimately I'd love to get you a
(03:14):
second date. Hang on, we'll do it. Next Second Date
update Star one on one three more variety from the
two thousands, the nineties, and today it's Star one O
one three. It's Marcus and Corey. In the middle of
second date update, been chatting with Rubin. He and Kaylin
went to Well, your first date was a wine bar,
so they met online. Very basic. First date was a
wine bar there in San Ramon. If I'm getting the
(03:37):
timeline correct, Ruben, you went from the wine bar to
the movies? Yeah, okay, And she has ghosted even though
I guess it was a good date. But let's tell
you what. Mute your phone, let's see what she has
to say. Okay, got it, here we go.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
Hello, how do you speak with Caitlin? Please?
Speaker 3 (04:04):
This is she.
Speaker 2 (04:05):
Hi Caitlin, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one one three.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
Okay, Hi, I.
Speaker 1 (04:14):
Don't suppose you listen to our show, do you?
Speaker 4 (04:16):
It's ok no, I'm sorry, I don't.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
All right, you should. We're delightful. I wonder if if
you have a second to be on the air with us.
We're doing a segment and had somebody call about you
regarding a date you've been on recently. Can do you
mind talking about your date with Ruben?
Speaker 4 (04:39):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yes, okay, you do mind, or you don't mind, I'll
take that out. So Ruben had a great time, yeah,
and he would love to go out again, and we're
just wondering where you're at because he's feeling like you ghosted.
So you did? Okay?
Speaker 4 (04:57):
That was yes?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
All right? Details?
Speaker 2 (05:00):
Why?
Speaker 1 (05:01):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (05:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (05:03):
Of course? So you know we went to a wine bar, right,
He probably told you most of this. We went to
a wine bar.
Speaker 1 (05:11):
He said you educated him on wine.
Speaker 4 (05:14):
I mean I do know my wine. Okay, so we
decided to go to the movies, right, and we stopped
at a grocery store to grab some snacks for the movies,
which you know, I thought was actually really cute. You know,
in this town, who can afford to pay for those
snacks with the movies?
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Right?
Speaker 4 (05:33):
It's ridiculous, So I'm all about saving money. But as
we were leaving, Ruben got all the stuff out of
the cart, all the snacks, but instead of putting the
cart back in the cart return, which was just steps away,
he lacked it in the parking.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Lot the grocery car just went to go.
Speaker 4 (05:54):
Unlock his car. And I mean I didn't say anything
at the time, but that was a major turn off
for me. Sure, it's not even that far away. That's
what they're there for, you know, it's the very least
that you can do to just walk your cart back
a few steps to put it away. Like, who doesn't
(06:15):
do that? I agree, we just leave it in the
parking lot.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Okay, you know what it is?
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Like, I just what what?
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Take a deep breath because I'm sorry. You know, you're fine.
Ruben is actually listening right now, And Ruben, sorry, Rubin
also a pet peeve of mine, by the way, Ruben,
are you there, Yeah, I'm here. Don't give out on
me now, Ruben. So, I mean, it's not the end
(06:42):
of the world. But not returning the shopping cart is
kind of a thing. Yes, so it was.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
It's not a big deal.
Speaker 1 (06:50):
No, it's rude.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
There's people who get paid to collect the cart here
we go, that's what they get paid.
Speaker 4 (06:58):
Ye get paid to go to the cart return where
they're all already located and take them and put them
back in the store. But they don't get paid to
go run around the parking lot getting lazy people's like carts.
I'm sorry, that's just such a huge pet pee for me. Like,
I just think that's so rude.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
And so would you never put a cart back because
you think, Ruben, that that's what they're supposed to do.
Speaker 3 (07:22):
No, I'm just saying, like I it's not a big deal.
And also you're running late to the movies like we were.
The movie was about to start, and I'm just like, whatever.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
We could have missed some of the coming attractions, like
you know, like you could have taken the two seconds
I would have taken to take the car back, Like
I almost went and put the cart back myself, you know,
but I just I was just so in shock. I
just really didn't know what to do. But I mean,
if you don't do that, like do you not put
(07:54):
your socks away? You know? Like, I'm sorry, I'm someone
who thinks about the future. Like, if you don't do that,
what else don't you do?
Speaker 2 (08:03):
Whoa?
Speaker 1 (08:04):
So we're talking. We're talking no second date here, huh? Whoa.
Speaker 4 (08:07):
I'm definitely not interested. I'm sorry. Okay, that's just that
really does not vote well for me.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
No second date, got it? Everybody, hang on
