Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three Marcus and Corey. We're
doing Second Date Update.
Speaker 2 (00:05):
That's where we try to find you a second date.
That's why it's called second Date Update. What is happening
where you're not getting your responses or texts?
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Let's bring on our friend Lindsay. Lindsay, good morning, Hi guys, Hie.
First of all, thanks for listening every morning.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
Super appreciated, and thank you for having me.
Speaker 1 (00:23):
Yeah, welcome. Let's talk about Tobias. So how did you
guys meet? And then like, what did you do on
the first date?
Speaker 2 (00:28):
So?
Speaker 3 (00:28):
I met Tobias on him and we'd been talking for
a few weeks and he actually took me to like
a really nice restaurant, which I thought was really nice
because you know, a lot of the time these first
dates are like a coffee thing, let's just grab drinks.
So I was, you know, I was very impressed. I
thought he was quite the gentleman to take me to
(00:50):
such a nice place. Yeah, dinner went well. I honestly
had butterflies. It was so great, you know, we had fun.
He drove me home. We even had a little kiss
so yeah, he's not texting in back. I don't get it.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
A nice date, okay, yeah, Corey, any thoughts.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Yeah, I was thinking maybe Tobias got detention for having
a gun in his locker. But it's not that serious.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
It's flair gun oh breakfast club subplot there. It is
too much pressure scholastically.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
Yes, I don't think it goes to school.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
Well, there's that fair point.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
I'll tell you what. Let's call him. Let's call it yeah,
and let's try to figure it out. It sounds awesome,
so nice. Can you hang on the line for a song?
I will. Yeah, all right, we'll call him right after this.
It's Second Date Update Star one O one three or
variety from the two thousands, the nineties and to day.
It's Star one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey
and we're doing Second Date Update. We've been chatting with
(01:49):
Lindsay about her date with Tobias. They went to a
nice dinner after a meeting on Hinge and the part
that's puzzling to me, Lindsay, if I could pull you
off mute for a second, is that you guys actually
kissed at the end of the date and then he
ghosted Yeah, that's weird. Yeah, let's call him and try
to figure some things out. Go ahead and go back
on mute. We're going to give him a shout right now.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Okay, got it.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Hello, I may to speak with Tobias please. Yeah, uh, Tobias.
This is Marcus and Corey from Star one oh one three.
Speaker 4 (02:26):
Hello.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Okay, we do a radio show here in San Francisco.
I don't know if you're familiar. It's on one oh
one three Star. It's with iHeartRadio. We are on the
air right now wondering if you might come on the
air with us. We're doing a dating segment and we
got floated your phone number by a friend of ours
and wondering if you're willing to discuss your date with
a woman you took out recently named Lindsey. Do you
(02:50):
have a moment?
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Oh my god, this is like for a podcast or
I'm on the radio or.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah, yes, if you if you're okay with that, to
be fair, it'll be on demand later on a podcast. Okay,
you got time?
Speaker 4 (03:04):
Ever been on the radio before, but I guess so?
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Thank you?
Speaker 4 (03:07):
What's uh? What about the the date?
Speaker 1 (03:10):
So we wanted to just grab your thoughts on your
date with Lindsay. So she said she had a great time.
She was impressed with the restaurant, impressed with you, that's
what she said. You kind of made out at the end,
and now you've ghosted. So we're wondering did you ghost
and if so, why as a learning experience? Why?
Speaker 4 (03:29):
I mean, I wouldn't consider it ghosting. But you know,
I haven't reached back out to her, okay, but you know,
things happen and I don't know what to tell you.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Are you just been busy then or did something happen?
Speaker 4 (03:42):
No, there's just a couple of things I didn't liked
about kind of the way she acted, And it's just
a couple of red flags.
Speaker 1 (03:49):
I don't know, such as yeah.
Speaker 4 (03:54):
I mean, we went to a restaurant, right, and I
wasn't blown away by the chemistry between us from the beginning.
It wasn't bad, but it was just like like whatever,
I guess, and then she was I don't know how
to explain it, but she was kind of weird, not rude,
like she's just like really short with the waiter.
Speaker 1 (04:17):
Did she do something.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
Well with the waiter? The whole night? She was really
short and like almost dismissive of him, and then like
when it was time to pay. Most girls are when
you're like signing the check or whatever, they you know,
pretend to look away or like look at their phone
or whatever. But she was like zoned in on my
freaking check, like to see what I put as a tip.
(04:40):
And I was like, Okay, maybe she's just trying to
make sure I leave a good enough tip. It was
actually the opposite. She was like, you can't leave that
much tip. That's insane, blah blah blah. Even if the
service was good, it wasn't like I left an insane
amount of money. I left like a regular generous tip
for regular service. I didn't go above and beyond. I
don't feel like but she made it seem like I
(05:01):
was this lunatic or something. It's just I don't want
to make a big thing of it. Yeah. I didn't
want to make a big thing of it either because
I still had to drive her home and stuff. So
I just kind of like blew it off, And in
my head, I'm like, okay, this this girl's a psycho basically,
But you know, I went and dropped her off and
then but.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
You kissed her anyway, yeah, why did you kiss her?
Speaker 4 (05:22):
I mean, I honestly wasn't even going to give her
a hug, much less a kiss, but she just like
jumped in there. And then by the time I know it,
like we're, you know, kissing, and I wasn't gonna be
like ill and push her away, so I just kind
of went.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
With it away.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Lindsay is on the phone right now and she's listening.
Speaker 4 (05:41):
Yeah, yeah, beautiful.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
Hey, it was such a small moment. I can't believe
it overshadowed the whole night.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
It was weird, It wasn't. The fact that the whole
night wasn't weird for you is a red flag to me.
Speaker 3 (05:58):
She was kipping like forty percent.
Speaker 4 (06:00):
The service was not that great, but now here's not
as bad. It wasn't that.
Speaker 1 (06:05):
I mean, Lindsay, to be fair, it's not your money. Yeah,
but what are you worried about?
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Times are tough? Why are you paying that much? I
thought I was helping him, Like some guys think they
have to like impress you and tip a ton, and
you know then they get like taken advantage of and
you know, I was just trying to help you. I
did not think it was a bad thing.
Speaker 4 (06:25):
Look, I just thought it was rude. I'm a grown man.
I can you know, decide how much to tip. I
didn't like the whole thing, all.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Right, whatever, I stand by it. That was a ridiculous tip.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Ridiculous, You're ridiculous.
