Speaker 1 (00:00):
More variety from the two thousands, the nineties, and today
it's Star one on one three, It's Marcus and Corey
and we're back with second date update once again today.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Just trying to figure out if we can get you
a second date or not. You went on a first
date and you thought it was swell, and now you're
not getting a second date.

Speaker 3 (00:15):
Let's bring on Greg. Greg. Hello, I heard you had
a good weekend, my man.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Yeah, I thought I did.

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Right. Let's talk about Lisa. How did you guys meet?
And then like, what did you guys do? Well?

Speaker 4 (00:30):
We met online and most of our conversation was done
through DMS. That's how we communicated until we met up
in person. So that went on for a little while.
That was great. We really think the bonds and maybe
not in the bond, but like had a lot of
things in common and it was really fun. It was awesome.
I was excited about it. You know how that online
thing is, so I wasn't this sounds so tacky, but

(00:51):
I wasn't sure about the photos. I wasn't sure if
they were going to match up, you know, like anything else.
I'm juilky that I'm sure it's gotta be tough.

Speaker 3 (00:59):
Got imagine it's tough getting catfished.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
Yeah, look, that wasn't the case. We met up and
the pictures met you know, they lined up with the person.
We had a great time, and at least I thought
we did.

Speaker 3 (01:11):
And then nothing, What did you guys do?

Speaker 4 (01:14):
We went out to a bar, went on just for
some early afternoon like just happy hour stuff, sat and
talked and a little bit of a walk. It was
nothing too crazy, but enjoyable and fun. I thought.

Speaker 3 (01:28):
And now here we are. Here's what I'm thinking. Please, yeah, Corey,
please share me.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Lissa witnessed a crime, so she's forced to relocate to
a convent to hide, and there she takes on the
choir and gets an audience with the pope.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
Ooh uh, sister act.

Speaker 4 (01:48):
I mean, if that's it, that'd be great.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
You just gotta wait for her to come out of hiding. Yeah,
that's it, that's all we gotta do. I'll tell you what.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
We're gonna call her. Greg going to call her and
try to put it that like a good time to me.
Can you hang on the line for a song?

Speaker 4 (02:03):
Sure?

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, Okay, we're gonna play a song and then we're
gonna have you mute up, and then we're gonna call
this and see.

Speaker 3 (02:07):
What's really going on. Okay, sounds good.

Speaker 1 (02:09):
Second Date Update Star one oh one three or variety
from the two thousands, the nineties, and today it's Star
one on one three. It's Marcus and Corey. We're doing
Second Date Update right now. When chatting with our guy
Greg about his date with Lyssa. Yeah, and it's real simple,
just a happy hour. Y'all went to a bar. Is
that correct?

Speaker 4 (02:26):
Yeah? Correct? Yeah, we went to a bar, hung out.
I had some great conversation for a little bit of
a walk, like I said, really lovely day. Yeah, it
was really nice.

Speaker 3 (02:35):
And she has ghosted.

Speaker 4 (02:37):
I have not had or anything since.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
Okay, well, we're gonna get down to the bottom.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
Of this the brass tacks if you will. Okay, go
ahead and mut your phone. Let's see if we can
get her on the phone. Here we go.

Speaker 5 (02:59):
Hello, I mean you speak with Lisa.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Please? Hi, Lissa, It's Marcus and Corey from Star one
one three.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Good morning, Hi, what's up.

Speaker 6 (03:11):
I'm just surprised.

Speaker 3 (03:12):
Wow, Hi, Do you listen to our show? I do excellent?

Speaker 2 (03:17):
Do you listen to Second Date Update?

Speaker 6 (03:21):
Of course?

Speaker 4 (03:22):
Right?

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Would you like to participate with us in said second
date update.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Hey, sure, should we bring your date on an hour later?

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Now? Greg? Excellent? Hey Greg, Greg, Lissa, Lissa Greg? So yeah,
let me just Lissa.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
Greg said he had a really good time, said that
you guys had a really great happy hour and a
nice walk.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
We just want to know why you're not getting.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Back to him. Yes, he's feeling ghosted. So did you
ghost or what's the story?

Speaker 6 (03:59):
I mean kind of, it's just we did have a
good time. He's a great guy, but it's just he's
just not my type. And I just I didn't really
know how to say it and felt so stupid the
thing that was bothering me. So I felt it was
just better not to say anything.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
Can you elaborate a little bit?

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Why is he not your type?

Speaker 6 (04:18):
Okay? So he was just slightly embarrassing. He's great, but
it was just a major turn off to me because
he showed up in shorts, which you know, it was
a nice day. The shorts is not a problem. It
was the fact that his legs were shining, like because
we were out in the sun, we sat outside doing
happy hour, we took a walk. His legs were shining
and it looked like he showed his legs and then

(04:40):
it looked like he put some sort of motion on them,
and I just I couldn't. I couldn't deal with it.
I like Harry Mint, and I asked him and he
said he waxes. Yeah, Okay, that was the last straw
for me. And I'm really sorry, but like, not only
do you shave, but you wax and you in your eyebrod.

(05:01):
Like I guess it was just he's just a little
too pert together for me. I like them, Harry. I
like them, Harry, I like, I don't know, kind of grizzly.
I like beards, So just it was a.

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Turn off, just like a little bit more rugged or
with because I like that my man, you know, trims
and takes care of himself.

Speaker 3 (05:21):
Same with my lady.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
But Greg, if I may, yeah.

Speaker 4 (05:27):
Gregor you a swimmer recreationally, Yeah, I'm on a couple
like recommends leagues in the summer. But I mean mostly overall,
I just kind of like to take care of myself.
I don't know, I just I've never been into being
super haired. It's pretty sitting hair up top anyways, so
I've never really Yeah, I'd like to take care of myself.

(05:50):
I like to look nice.

Speaker 3 (05:52):
I appreciate that.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
But you know, my sister and I are very different.
Like she likes a guy who hasn't watched his towel
in like two weeks.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
Oh wow, she stated a guy type.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
His nickname was Nasty Mike.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Oh god, yeah, nasty Mike took a turn.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
This is it Benigan's when we worked at Benigans when
I was in high school.

Speaker 3 (06:11):
He has a cook.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
Yeah. Yeah, no, that's not I'm not trying to give
Listener or anybody pink guy from towels or anything. Right,
It's just like I's.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Not trying to pass the staff in affection.

Speaker 1 (06:22):
No, Okay, honestly, sounds like we have a difference of types. Sure,
as Lissa said, now I get it. Is this something
listen that you can overlook just based on the date
that you had?

Speaker 3 (06:36):
I mean the deep seem cool?

Speaker 6 (06:38):
Yeah, no, he is cool, and I appreciate that he
takes care of himself. It's just not for me, Like,
I just can't deal with a man who waxes his leg.
I want to feel something there, So it's not a
match for me.
