up date. We like to helpyou in your dating life. Yes,
So if you met someone and wenton a first date and you had a
wonderful time and now they're ghosting,we want to figure out why. Let's
bring on Carson Carson, Good morning, Good morning to you guys. How
you doing doing all right? Gotyour email about Susan, Tell me how

(00:23):
you met and then and then tellme how the date went. So I
met Susan on coffee meets Bagel, okay, and I, full disclosure,
had recently gotten out of a seriousrelationship a few months back, got it,
and so I was like, youknow, it's time to jump back
into the dating pool. A man'sgetting back in a game. Okay,

(00:45):
right. And so she had areally great profile, beautiful intelligence, seemed
very nice. We had a prettygood rapport back and forth, and frankly,
I had a lot of drama withmy last girlfriend and I was looking
forward to, I don't know, just a nice calm experience, and she

(01:07):
seemed like that. So we metfor drinks and walnut Creek and we both
live in the East Bay, andthat felt like we made a really great
connection. And it's nice because I'vegot a super stressful job and it's good
to just chill and connect with agreat person. Was meaningful, I thought,

(01:32):
I mean, I was looking forwardto a second date. I thought
the report was fantastic. But hereI am calling you guys because I have
got heard from her. Well,we're the experts. Our batting average is
top notch. Sarcasm, but youknow what, there's always hope, Corey.
You got any morbid theories? Maybenot so much morbid, but maybe

(01:53):
she feels like not enough times pastsince his last relationship because you said you
just got out of a dramatic relationship. That's boring. Where is your standard?
Sorry dateline twist? Her ex boyfriendshowed up through in the trunk and
she's not been seen since. Waybetter Okay, sorry, sorry, Carson,
Corey comes up with these every Yeah, very very likely. Yeah,

(02:17):
back to your back to the issueat hand. Let's get Susan on the
phone and let's see what's up.Can you hang on the line for a
song? Of course? All right, man, we'll do it. Next
second date up date for more varietyfrom the two thousands, the nineties,
and today. It's Star one Oone three. It's Marcus and Corey.
We're doing second date update right now. We've been talking to Carson, so
he and Susan met online on Coffeemeets Bagel. Some other background we got

(02:39):
from Carson is that you are recentlyback in the dating game. Correct,
So you were in a long hewas in a long term relationship. Y'all
met up for drinks and Walnut Creek. Very geographically desirable. Everybody lives in
the east space, so that's cool. Let's see if we can get her
on the phone and figure out whyshe's ghosting you. Okay, go ahead
and godet, let's do this.Okay, Hello, how man speak with

(03:12):
Susan? Please? Yeah, that'sis she? Hi, Susan. It's
Marcus and Corey from Star one onone three. It's up Susan. Hi.
Hello. I don't suppose you listento our show? Do you?
We do a we do a morningshow on the radio in uh here in
the Bay on one on one three. I'm sorry, no, I don't.
Okay, you really should though,We're delightful. Okay, Susan,

(03:37):
if you don't mind. We're doingsomething we called Second Date Update. It's
a dating segment on our show, and we were wondering if you wouldn't mind
coming on the air with us andtalking about a date you recently went on.
Would that be okay? Be onthe air? Oh okay, this
is kind of weird. Regular you'reready to get it. Yeah, you

(03:58):
know, I wouldn't to ask youabout your date with with Carson if you
have a minute, Okay, that'sfine, that's fine. Yeah, okay,
So he would like to take youout again. He's feeling like you're
like you're ducking him, like you'reghosting, and we're just trying to get
to the bottom of it and hopefullymaybe broker a second date. So how

(04:19):
was the date from your point ofview? Okay, So it started really
well. I mean he is verynice, he's very smart, and I
mean he's also like really like he'sa great looking guy. So yeah,
I mean it was it was allgood. But then as the date kept

(04:41):
going on, I realized that hejust wasn't able to separate his work life
from his social life. Did hedo you know he's a therapist? No,
he did say his job was stressful. Okay. So he's a therapist
and like we would like start anyconversation no matter like how light it was,
but he follow everything. I waslike, and how did you feel

(05:01):
about that? And like I,all of a sudden, I just felt
like I was being analyzed and Ifelt like I was, like, I
don't know, being judged, andit just felt weird and I didn't want
to feel analyzed in like a firstdate situation. Got it? I understand
that. Do you think it's justhuman nature for him to be inquisitive?

(05:25):
I mean, I'm sure that's whathe's used to doing all day, so,
like I get it, but likeI'm just not interested. I felt
clinical, is what you're saying.Yeah, yeah, it's stressful. Okay.
So, to be completely honest,Carson is on the phone with us,
Oh my god, because he wantedto know what happened. We're trying,
we're trying to help my man outhere. So Carson, I mean,

(05:47):
you know now you understand where she'scoming from. What are your thoughts?
How do you feel about that?Come on, I see what you
did there? Well? First andforemost, Hi, Susan, how you
doing? Hi? Yeah? Iyes, sorry, I didn't mean to

(06:13):
make you feel like a patient oranything like that. I like I said,
I got out of my last relationship, but it was a nightmare and
a total drama, and I wasjust trying to get a read on you,
and maybe I was going overboard withit, and uh, you know,
I didn't want to get involved withanother situation like the previous one.
So that's probably what well. Imean, I to be honest, that

(06:35):
was like another part of the equation. If I kind of felt like you're
not quite over your ex either,I think I am. I would I
mean, I'd like to be selfaware enough to know whether or not I'm
ready or not to get back intothe game, so to speak. And

(06:57):
I thought it was and I thinkI am right. I mean, I
know being self aware is part ofyour job, but like you should be
self aware enough not to treat melike one of your patients. You know.
The conversation, it just didn't feelvery like organic. I don't know,
I don't know how else to explainit. I gotta say, if
I can get free therapy on theRAG, I would be down. That
would be Corey's life Charger therapy isgreat, but I'm like not for like

(07:20):
someone to date. I don't know. I mean bottom line is I don't
think you're over your ex, andI think you need a little bit more
time to get over her before puttingyourself out there again. Sorry, Wow,
the roles are reverse. She's thetherapist now, so I'm assuming no
second date, No second date forme? All right? Hang on,
hang on. That felt like themost conscious uncoupling we've ever experienced. As

(07:45):
much as I would like the manin my life to be understand my brain,
h it would get to the pointwhere you're wondering, are you always
analyzing me? Second Date Updates sevenoh five weekday mornings replays it nine oh
