It's snow.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
Call me casino in hotel. Now here's chucking, but there's
this one.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Two three guys hooks one in.
Speaker 4 (00:26):
The air down the line of it's first, got.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
A chance and it's gone.
Speaker 4 (00:31):
Polio Rodriguez with a three run shot of the first
inning shot.
Speaker 1 (00:36):
To right centerfield.
Speaker 3 (00:37):
Varsho on the one.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
He's at the track, He's in the it's gone.
Speaker 3 (00:41):
Bits Pollock again.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Jorgey Polanco is owning October for the Mariners.
Speaker 1 (00:49):
He's given him a six to.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Three lane, flips it in the left center field. It's
down for a basic discory. Ross Crawford dies with a
six rason finals four, puts it in carry two strikes
and brings it in seven to fine the deep bright
field Becaos Lucas a good.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Bade third home run of the game.
Speaker 4 (01:13):
For the Mariners, blesting their way through game two, they
meet at nine to three.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Well, they have done it. The Mariners take out the
Toronto Blue Jays in game number two by a final
score of ten to three. That's two to oh on
the road, coming back home to Seattle for games three, four,
and now we get to put the little asterisk five
if necessary, We get to slip that in there legally.
But right now we just celebrate winning two oh, going
(01:47):
up two to oh on the Toronto Blue Jays. It
is Chuck Powell is former Mariner Bucky Jacobson, who was
going not going to put his headset on until the
final out was recorded. Now, how do you feel?
Speaker 3 (01:58):
I feel very comfortab putting it on. I like putting
it on up to you. I did not like the
idea of putting it on one and a half up
one and a half to zero. Uh, and so I
wasn't gonna do it. I know Softi's like, let's just
jump on there, let's get a little little bit of
this postgame show. Jumped in early. When it's ten three.
I'm like, I get it. I feel pretty good about it.
(02:20):
But I wouldn't be able to show my face if
that somehow backfired on us. We say Aaron, watch some comeback.
So I'm good Now, I'm good to go, good to go.
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Huh, Well, what do you think it means in this
series to be up too?
Speaker 3 (02:31):
Oh? It means it's a whole lot better than being
down two oh or one to one, is what it means.
It doesn't mean. I mean it's it's great coming into
their place and winning two of them. I mean, if
you win one, you steal home feit advantage. I know
it's not that big of a deal typically, but it
is a big deal this year. I mean, we always
make the Mariners. Yeah, we witnessed it this year. We
(02:52):
witnessed it that those last that last game at home
in particular. But I think this team feeds off of
what the energy that Seattle's bringing, and I think Seattle
is feeding off what this team's given them to cheer for.
And so it's big to be able to come home
and know now that you have it in front of you. Now,
this is a good team. We've outpitched them, we've out
(03:13):
hit them, we've outplayed them for two games so far.
But I saw a tweet that John Moros he said
where in twenty twenty three, the Rangers went up to
zero and then lost the next three and then ended
up still winning it and going on to win the
World Series. So they're just crazy. Stuff can happen in baseball.
There's no part of me that's gonna be counting my
(03:34):
chickens before they hatch. But boil boy. Do I like
the way that they came out today. I mean, three
run homers and polonco. I mean, he's you know, chips
in every once in a while, I suppose, with go
ahead knocks and whatnot. But the pitching was decent. Logan
looked like he was laboring a little bit out there,
and that didn't necessarily look as sharp. He's throwing a
lot of pitches down the middle, but he still was
making good enough pitches to keep them from putting up
(03:57):
too many crooked numbers. That the answer that they had
in the the first was interesting, But for the most part,
I mean, the offense kind of stepped up and picked
up their pitcher.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
Yeah, we've been waiting for the offense to step up
and have one of those kind of complete games, and
they sort of did it here tonight when you put
ten runs on the board. And I do think the
Blue Jays are a good team, and that's about it.
I think we're a better team. I think we match
up very well against this team. I think we have
better starting pitching. I think we got better relief pitching,
and that's been very evident in this series. I even
(04:25):
think we have the better lineup. So I'm not at
all surprised by these results thus far. But you still
have a lot of work to do getting that third
and fourth win Man's that's gonna be taxing, and it
will help to have them right here at home for
Games three, four, and five. Well, we're gonna break it
all down for you as quickly as we can. We
got twenty three minutes with you, and then we're gonna
(04:46):
get it to Jetfish, Tony cast Cone and the coaches
show at the top of the hour. So this will
be our shortest Baseball's best post game show so far
of the playoffs. And we are broadcasting live from Snow
Qualmi Casino and Hotel. We're at Hawk's Peak right now,
which is a fabulous sports bar if you ever get
the chance. And I really wanted to sit outside in
(05:08):
the elements. The people around here don't like it when
it's forty six. I love it. J yeah, I love it.
I wanted to sit out there with you and watch
the game on the gorgeous patio overlooking your backyard. But
we got to see the game in fine fashion here
today at Hawk's Peak. So let's get into it, and
let's start with Hora Polonko. I think that's where the
(05:29):
conversation begins. You have once upon a time in Major
League baseball, and young people don't realize this. They actually
kept a stat called game winning RBI. So they actually
did when you were responsible for the RBI that put
the team ahead for good, they kept a running stat.
(05:49):
I don't know about twenty twenty five years ago, they
eliminated that. They don't count it anymore. People still bring
it up, but they don't really track it anymore statistically
in the sport. And it's a shame because Jorge Polonco
might be entering legendary status. This is three games in
a row that he has knocked in the game winning
run for this team.
Speaker 3 (06:10):
I don't know why they wouldn't keep track of that.
I maybe maybe you can't put a stat to it,
or it's not fair because somebody else doesn't get up
in that opportunity. Who cares we got him hitting fourth
in the lineup. That's a run producing spot obviously, way
the way that they're kind of pitching or pitching around
cal trying to to some degree, Julio ended up making
the first damage, doing the first damage with that first dinger,
(06:31):
but that that second one, the one that Jorge Polanco
when he hit went three. It was that kind of
weird play Randy Rose arena that shortstop tries getting rid
of it. It goes into the dugout or off gino into
the dugout. Now he's on second, so they automatically walk
cow and now that's that's your opportunity. I can tell you,
as a guy that you know was usually hitting fourth
in the lineup, if you walk the guy just for
(06:53):
strategic purposes, not because they were scared or they liked
pitching to you necessary, just for strategic purposes. This was
one where they're like, we're probably just not going to
pitch the cow. He owns us It's yeah, what you
call he's not their home and or native land, but
he is. He's making it seem like he is. So
they end up walking him. And then that's an opportunity
(07:15):
there where you just got to hope that you have
a guy that has a professional at bat, goes up
there and understands what he's supposed to do. He most
certainly did that. I mean it was it just is.
I think that he has a little bit of that cool,
calm demeanor. Veteran. He's been there, he's done that. He
understands that there's there's situations that you have to you
that you feel pressure, and yet you have to calm
(07:38):
yourself down and understand the dude on the mound is
feeling just as much pressure as you are. And he
he calmed down a whole heck of a lot more
than the guy that was Varlin that was pitching to him,
and he ends up getting a good one to hit
and smashes it.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Yeah, Bucky called it.
Speaker 3 (07:50):
By the way.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Sitting here, he was like, he looks good at this
about he seems to be. On the very next pitch,
he launches the three run omer that barely got out,
barely scraped out. I want to hear anything, because we
hit one at the top of the wall that didn't
get out the night before, so we were owed that one,
and so Polonko it's the three run homer. You know
they they just they say in the analytics era, those
(08:11):
that subscribe wholeheartedly to just the data and don't realize
that it's a game played by human beings. There's no
such thing as a clutch gene that there's no such
thing as clutch hitters, and yet we've got one in
Jorge Polonco. I don't subscribe to that. I think that
there are clutch hitters, and we certainly have one in
Jorge Polonco. Hell, he's the clutch oven. Oh real, Yeah,
(08:34):
he's the clutch of it. Yeah. He just pulls the
covers over your over your head, and it just you know,
sprays RBI.
Speaker 3 (08:40):
Wow. Yeah, Canada is not enjoying that.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
But he's just he's just coming through night after night
for this team. And that lead at six to three
ends up sticking the rest of the way and you
win it by a final score of ten to three,
and we do. I want to backtrack to Julio because
you get a hit by pitch to start the game,
you get a walk to cal Rawley, not an intentional one.
He gets walked. So he got two to one against
(09:05):
a rookie pitcher, and there's no doubt that that dude's
got stuff. I mean, his stuff falls off the table,
and he's throwing ninety seven ninety eight with his fastball,
and he was striking a lot of people out here tonight,
even with his struggles. But young pitcher who got a
little trouble with the control, and now all of a sudden,
here's Julio Rodriguez who battles and got a pitch where
(09:28):
it to his liking and hooked it down the left
field line for a three run homer. It kind of
felt like, I'm not really trying to hit a home
run here, but sometimes it happens when you just have
a good approach to put the ball.
Speaker 2 (09:39):
In.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Matter of fact, most of the time when you hit
a home run, you weren't trying to do it. Most
of the time, when you foul a great pitch back,
it's because you were trying to do too much. It's
something we've watched him do basically his entire career has
come out of his shoes too often. It's like, dude,
your beauty, Steve Boubonie top me is your beauty is
your power, your beast. The thing is holding you back
(10:01):
is your power, meaning you're trying to be too powerful.
You don't need to be just hit it, just touch it.
If you hit the bottom half and back spin the ball,
there's a good chance that jumps out of the yard,
and Julio did that. There it was this was a
situation where similar type of a pitcher, obviously younger, less experience,
but fastball mid nineties, split finger, and they have just
they've made it abundantly clear that if they if they
(10:24):
execute the plan. What the plan they're trying to execute is,
we're gonna try to be careful with Cal Rawley. Now,
Cal hit a big home run yesterday that ended up
tying the ball game and we went on to win it.
But that was not a bad pitch. He went down
and dug that one out. So they were trying to
execute their plan. If we're gonna throw things on the
edge of the zone, maybe Cal gets out, maybe puts
one and play weekly we would pick. If we're gonna
(10:44):
pick our poison, we'd rather go against Huli Rodrigaz. Well,
that's that's not an easy feat necessarily. I mean Huli Rodriguez.
As much as we've had people around here want to
bash on the kid having a pretty damn good beginning
of his career, I mean maybe slow first halfs, but
kind of like Hall of Famish second halfs. And so
he still is finding himself having really good seasons up
(11:05):
to this point and a really good career. To me,
it was this was the type of guy where you
have to sit. If you're trying to sit fastball and
hit that split finger, you're gonna be in trouble. Because
if a guy can carry the top rail, throw a
good plus fastbats ninety five ninety six is plus. If
you can throw one up there and then throw another
one that starts there and drops off the table, I
(11:25):
mean he drops down below the zone, You're screwed. You
can't hit. You can't cover both of those. So what
your objective should be, and I think Julio did it
in that first at bat was Okay, I'm gonna see
what he's gonna come after me with, because they once
they figure out this is what we think you're going
to hit weekly or what you won't hit, and it
was splitty. I think they started him slider, but then splitty, splitty, splitty,
(11:45):
and the third one he saw, he took two of
them and the third one was in the zone and
he ends up hitting that thing in the cheap seats.
It was. It was a good approach and then just
a nice short swing. He took a few good short
swings today, even though he didn't have a ton to
show for it. He ended up shing that he has
a good approach right now, and you have to do that.
If they're gonna say we're not gonna mess around with
cal Rowly, you know, if we're gonna be very selective
(12:08):
as to when we're gonna challenge that guy, then the
dudes behind him, him and Polonko in particular, but Naylor
as well, could come into that situation. And even for us,
those guys gotta make that pay. If you're not gonna
pitch to our big dog, if you're not gonna pitch
the big dumper, then we're gonna make it pay for it.
A three run homer to start the game is exactly
what you needed, especially the way that they kind of came.
Speaker 1 (12:28):
Back, yeah, and took the crowd out of it very
first inning. You jump out to that three to nothing lead. Unfortunately,
Logan gave it back. You know, I know there was
a lot of talk about fatigue coming into this series.
You and I really didn't buy into that. We didn't
think it was gonna affect this team. But Logan was
a different case. This is somebody, for the first time
in his career, came in in a I don't have
(12:51):
any room for error here situation out of the bullpen,
over hyped, certainly with forty seven thousand people screaming, and
he got to walk with the lights flashing and everything
else that night. And so he pitched two plus innings
that night and tried to come back here for the
good of the team on two days rest, which isn't
a lot for a starting pitcher who is a slave
(13:13):
to his routine, and he's got one of the most
interesting ones in all of sports. It's what keeps him
for the most part healthy. He didn't have it today.
He was hanging a lot of pitches right there, George
Springer right off the bat. I mean, I was just like,
why you keep trying to go in on him with
breaking stuff. He was just missing. He's not trying to
do that. He was just missing with his location. He
(13:35):
wasn't sharp. He was around ninety five and not ninety
seven at the beginning of the game. He was tired.
That was just not a role that he was ready
for today, and fortunately the bullpen bailed him out, but
he gave away the lead. Plus the umpire was terrible, Yeah,
terrible bl the whole game, but particularly for Logan, and
(13:57):
that led to that third run scoring and he had
an air. Josh Naylor committed an air trying to you know,
pitch option pitch it down the left sideline and instead
threw it over his head. So he didn't get a
lot of help around him. But let's face it, he
just wasn't a vintage Logan. No, he wasn't sharp.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
I mean, ultimately, you know he's a guy that can
pitch to quadrants of the plate. I don't I think
if you were just divide it into four. I think
he's trying to pitch to the outside quadry or the
inside quadrant, and then he obviously can go up and down.
He tries to stay out of that middle half of
the plate. He's good enough to do that. Today he
was going a little bit more off speed, which I
was fine with. I told you I think yesterday and
(14:35):
even today on our morning show that guys that throw
splittys sometimes when they're not their arm doesn't feel quite
as live. The splitty is a nice pitch for that,
because it'll usually if you don't overthrow it, it'll come
out and tumble even more and even drop off tablear Well,
the problem is is it was tumbling off the table
for balls, so he's falling behind. Then when he was
trying to locate his fastball, he was missing like substantially away,
(14:56):
like a foot off the outside corner, off his armside,
inside to right. And then when he was like, okay,
I gotta throw a strike, it was center cut now,
so he was he was making some mistakes to whur
they were easy pitches to foul off or easy pitches
to hit, and if he put them in play, they're
gonna be hard. If they're hard, they're turning into a
couple of knocks. But then you coupled that with the
umpire screwing him over. He had a good battle with
(15:17):
George Springer the second time around. He gave up two.
We scored three in the first. They come back and
score two. I said to you after they well that
was a good answer for them. Now it's not the
full answer. You didn't get the full answer. We still
got a one run lead after one. Now they put
up a zero against us. I think it was a
pretty quick one two three inning if I remember correctly.
And then we come back at go back out there,
(15:37):
and he finds himself in trouble with you know, a single,
and then all of a sudden he gets that George
Kirby situation or George Springer, not George Kirby, George Springer
at bat and George was on him. He was on him,
and he was making some pitches, and then he throws
a couple of good pitches that are strikes, should be
strike three, and instead he calls them both balls. He
gets on base, and the next day, dude Lukes ends
(15:58):
up driving a guy in to tie the ball game.
You're like, okay, new ball game. Here we go. He
stops the bleeding at that point, three to three, and
then you have a couple innings of okay, back to
the pitchers or winning the duels. Both of the pitchers.
They end up start winning the duels, and unfortunately, well
fortunately for us, we ended up being the ones to
answer the bell offensively and they did not.
Speaker 1 (16:19):
Yeah, and we've been roughing up their relief pitching corps. Meanwhile,
ours has been amazing in these two games. Nine innings
of relief work, one hit, allowed, no runs six today
now granted ended up being lopsided, and it felt like
the Blue Jays kind of rolled over against Vargas and
(16:41):
later Hancock in the last two innings. But nine innings pitched,
no runs allowed through two games and a two to
zero lead with allowing just one hit, and believe or not,
the one guy that is giving up a hit might
be the I mean, when they talk about this team
twenty five years from now and bars in Seattle and
they talk about the twenty twenty five run, however deep
(17:02):
it goes, I mean, certainly Big Dumper is gonna be
mentioned that they're probably wearing Big Dumper jerseys twenty five
years from now at the at the bar. Julio's Polanco's
great postseason. But don't make a mistake, Bizaro is turning
out to be like the hero of this postseason.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
It pitched every game, I think, hasn't he. I'm pretty
sure he's pitched every game. Pitch yesterday, didn't pitch yestery Okay,
so he just about every single game. And when it
comes down to it, when he came in the game
and in the fourth inning for Logan, Logan had just
got his first three up, three down inning, and yet
it was it was a good move by Dan for
those that like to criticize everything that he could see
(17:39):
that he wasn't didn't have his normal stuff, understandably so
even though he had only thrown what was it thirty
four pitchers or something a couple of nights ago, those
are a different type of intensity coming in in relief
all of the you get yourself up now. He had
a day off, But it's just not the same for pitchers.
I expect position players to bounce back after a day
off or after a fly. They're used to playing every day.
(18:02):
A starting pitcher is not used to pitching a couple
of days after he pitched, and then a couple of
days later pitch again. That's they're just not used to it.
And he's a dude that has such an extensive routine
that you've messed that routine up, and it's there's a
good chance that he's just not gonna feel like himself.
He obviously didn't look like him, so so a great
job by Dan letting him go out there for the
third three up, three down. Boom. All right, great job,
(18:22):
you did enough. Let's go to Bizardo. Who is this
unsung hero that you're right, I think a couple of
decades from now, you're gonna be sitting talking to somebody
in a bar and bizarre. Oh dude, that guy. I
hated him when he first came up. Eduardo, I love me,
somem Edward still got to Bizardo Jersey back Home a Jersey.
Speaker 1 (18:44):
He was the unsung hero of that postseason. I'm telling
you right.
Speaker 3 (18:47):
Now, Yep, I could see it by we're slurring, we're
drunk at the bar. Twenty years from now, I like it.
It might be you and I yeah, it probably will be.
People be like, biz what Bazudu what? No? Bizarro, buddy?
I mean, he is going out there, lights out, absolutely
dotting it on both sides. He's feeling at this point
in time. That's the thing about postseason baseball to me
is you have to have a few relievers. Hopefully it's
(19:09):
your closer and your setup guy, the guys you've been
relying on all year, but you need to have a
couple other dudes that you can rely on to come
in when you get into a Harry situation and you
just believe that they believe they're gonna go out there
and shove where the sun don't shine. He right now,
most certainly is that guy doesn't matter who he's facing,
doesn't matter what anying he's going into, what part of
(19:30):
the lineup he's going up, what the score is. I
think he believes right now that there's not a whole
heck of a lot of people that can hit him,
and there isn't.
Speaker 1 (19:36):
Yeah, yeah, And you didn't even have to use your
big three. So you get another day off tomorrow out
of the bullpen, and then you're ready to go for
games three back here. I mean, all the momentum in
the world. If there is something to point out, cal
Raley seemed to on that play to first. I don't
know if he jarred a knee or just racked himself.
(19:56):
I don't know what happened there, but he seemed to
be in pain. And then, more notably, Josh Naylor, even
though he had three more hits tonight, including the two
run homer that pretty much was the final nail in
the coffin to Toronto. Here in game number two, he
was limping around a little bit at first base, it
wasn't stopping him from hitting homers and making diving plays
down the first base line, but he was removed from
(20:17):
the game late just so they didn't aggravate something more
with a seven run lead. So something to monitor. But
Josh Naylor got off to a rough start in this postseason.
He didn't have a hit in the first three days.
But since that baby was born, since Little Nails came
into the world, he's basically gotten multiple hits every single
(20:38):
night since that time.
Speaker 3 (20:38):
Dad strength, that'll do it to you every single time.
I mean, I would have loved to have had a
child back when I was playing, just to see how
far I could hit it with Dad's strength. I mean,
I do think there was something the first couple games
of the US postseason. Yeah, I mean, you're wondering if
your wife's going into labor while you're standing in the
batter's box. It's like, I want to be there, but
I need to be here. I'm glad that you got that.
(21:00):
You know that all that came out the way that
it's supposed to, pardon my pun, and yet at the
same time, I'm glad that it's just another It's kind
of a weight lifted off his chest because yeah, he's
a dude that you're gonna need if you want to
take this ride deep into the postseason. He's a dude
that you're gonna need to go up there and have
professionally beast. I think it was he fouled one off
that first ab off the inside of his foot, and
I think that I remember the next thing watching him
(21:22):
after there was a play at first and they kind
of zoomed in on him. He was kind of grimsing
a little bit like it was still hurting, and understandably
so that doesn't feel good. So I'm sure there's pulled
him out. Let Master Bony go in there and you
know there's ten to three. Go play defense real quick
and we'll get some ice on that thing quicker than later.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Chuck Powl Bucky Jacobson broadcasting live from Snow Qualmi Casino
and Hotel. We're here at Hawks Peak Man a great place,
tremendously nice staff. We don't have a full postgame show.
As a matter of fact, we only have five more
minutes for you. An things over to Jedfish and Tony
and the coaches show coming up at the top of
the hour, but we'll use our five minutes. Wisely, I
(21:59):
do want a preview what's coming up on Wednesday and
for the rest of the series. But before it, just
got to say one more thing. There was a guy
at the bar today who yelled out, way to go
big Dumper when it was Mitch Garver who was sliding
into third with a triple. He was also with a
very attractive woman. I trust that she broke up with
him for that mistake, and so hopefully we get that rectified.
(22:23):
We're gonna find out who that was, mistaking Dumper for Garv.
Yeah yeah, and we're gonna go ahead and we're gonna
snatch away his right to drive an automobile.
Speaker 3 (22:34):
I think I think we really should just send him
to a deserted island. Please, don't ever, like, don't even
ever utter the words that's Dumper when it's Mitch Garver. Like, no,
and you are now out. You're out of the group,
I mean human kind. You're out of the group.
Speaker 1 (22:51):
I know you showed up to root for the Mariners
and everything.
Speaker 3 (22:54):
We appreciate that.
Speaker 1 (22:54):
We probably should like you, but we really just don't anymore.
Speaker 3 (22:57):
Yeah, no, you're out. Yeah, sorry about it. It was
an unforgivable mistake.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
Yeah, exactly. I mean, and I guess you will learn
from your lesson. You'll just do it in another city. Yeah,
all right, let's talk about where we sit now, up
to oh and coming home, all the momentum moving the
right way. I promise you there's a speech coming at
some point. We got a lot of work to do.
We've not won squat and I would imagine cal Raley's
(23:22):
given that speech. I don't think it's gonna have to
be Dan. I think cal Raley is all over this
thing about winning the whole friggin thing, but also reminding
these players of how this is a game by game process.
So six more wins to win their ultimate goal, two
more to get into the World Series, which is titillating
to say that. But a lot of work left to do.
(23:46):
And just because you're going home doesn't mean Toronto's gonna,
you know, shut her in the corner and just roll
over for this team.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
No. I mean that's the beauty of this. When you
get to this part of the postseason seven game series,
usually do match up like, okay, how closely competitive are
these two teams? Now, there's times you get up three
zero and the other team I wouldn't say rolls over,
but it just takes a little nudge to bush him
off the cliff in a game four. That's how sweep's
happening more often than not. They're gonna be coming in
(24:15):
here ready to fight when it comes. I mean, and
who knows how many Blue Jay fans are gonna show up.
I would say this, man, fans, don't don't sell your
tickets Tay Bay from Canada. Just don't do it. We
want that to be our home field advantage. But people
are gonna do what they're gonna do. They're gonna show
up ready to rock and roll. And that's an offense
that George Kirby's gonna have to, you know, navigate with
some precision. You can't go out there and just think
(24:36):
you're gonna get away with throwing a bunch of meat balls,
because they got some dudes that'll do some damage to you.
On the other side, I think it's Shane Bieber right
throwing against us, and he got roughed up his first
doubting and so we shall see if he if he's
he didn't look like he's the same Shane Bieber from
a few years ago when he was one.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Of the coming back from a really serious injury. Cleveland
traded him at the trade They could have had Shane
Bieber on their team if they wanted to, but they
ended up trading him at the deadline, a very strange move.
They kind of gave up that they were going to
get back in the thing. And Bieber now can contribute
to Toronto. But he's not the same guy. He's absolutely
not the same guy. Maybe he will be eventually. By
(25:13):
the way, there are a lot of people very interested
in and very concerned perhaps with how Toronto might invade Seattle.
Bucky brought up a good point that these tickets were
purchased in strips beforehand, and so I think there's a far, far,
far far lesser chance that you're going to see all
of those Royal Blue shirts in the stadium. But nonetheless
(25:33):
they're gonna be there. They're gonna be present, there's no
question about it. It's Canada's team. Yeah, but they're gonna
be drowned out. That's the beauty of it is it.
Speaker 3 (25:41):
Usually it's a midsummer game where everybody's just there going
having a good time. That's not going the way it's
gonna go down this time.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
Cap George Kirby will pitch Game number three Luis Castillo
will pitch number game number four. I think that's the
right move, even though I could have lived with it
the other way around. But I think what we do
have to recognize is that this organization really does recognized
George Kirby as the man like they're gonna won him
in game three, in game seven of this series, and
so they think he's their best put zeros on the
(26:10):
board pitcher. So that's I think why they made that decision.
Castillo theoretically is the more well rested, so they'll get
it started. Game three will be we'll have a day off,
and then on Wednesday, Game three at Team Mobile a
chance to go up three to zero and move that
much closer to the World Series. That's gonna do it
for us. Thank you very much for joining us. Thank yous.
(26:30):
No call me casino and hotel and we will talk
to you again tomorrow morning at six am. For Bucky Jacobson,
I'm Chuck Powell. Thank you, Jackson Feld. Sports Radio ninety
