Piper's Big Give Coupon Book for 2025 is Here!

Each year, Scioto Shoe Mart in Marion produces a coupon book of great in-store deals to sell as a fund raiser for NC4K, a non-profit that supports familys who are fighting juvenile cancer. Mandy from NC4K joined the show to talk about the effort and how it helps to change lives.

is with NC four K, and today we're going to
be talking about Piper's Big Give coupon book and annual
coupon book put out by SiO to Schumart in order
to save you money and help out the nonprofit that
helps kids with cancer. And Mandy is here from NC

Let's talk a little bit first of all about NC
four K. Tell everybody what this cause is and why
SiO to Schumart is so into the cause absolutely.

Speaker 2 (00:36):
NC four K is a local nonprofit that provides resources
for families who have had a child diagnosed with cancer.
So we support families here in our own state, in
the state of Ohio by paying their mortgage bills, their
utility bills, making sure they've got resources for groceries and gas.
But we also support their emotional wellbeing. So, you know,

(00:59):
families want to go out and walk to movie or
make pizzas together at home, We're going to make sure
that they've got the resources for that. But one of
my favorite things that we do to support the childhood
cancer community is host events for play community events where
all of our families get to come together to support
one another, to have a lot of fun and really
forget about cancer for just a moment, because having a

(01:19):
child diagnosed with cancer is overwhelming and hard and challenging.
And when there are moments that you can be in
space with other folks who are understand the battles that
you're facing and then put it aside for a moment,
that's really really important. And that's really why I think
Ciota Schumer is so invested in the work that NC
four K does. They have been members of our community

(01:43):
for ten years because this year marks the tenth year
since Piper was diagnosed with cancer herself, and so from
her diagnosis forward, Piper and her entire family and then
everyone at Ciota Schumart has been really involved with our
community and supporting the families that walked alongside their family

(02:04):
and then those that have been diagnosed since Piper's diagnosis
ten years ago. And so you really, I think for me,
this is an opportunity to see how community comes full
circle and that's that support is really ongoing at the
ripple effects. They're really powerful.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, I love that and Syo to Schumaart has producer book,
so they are in they are selling them for twenty
dollars each and the books come with over five hundred
dollars in value from SIoT Schumart, so some great deals
so you can save some money. And I believe those
coupons are good all the way until January of next year,
so that gives you an opportunity over the next several

directly to NC four K. And you can get those

those up. And this has been a really nice blessing
for the community at NC four K with the money
that comes from this campaign. Talk a little bit about that, Mandy.

Oh. Absolutely, this has made such a difference for our
work serving families. Typically, this campaign raises ten thousand dollars
or more and that will cover I mean, just think
how many mortgage and rent payments that's going to cover.
I mean that's like eight mortgages a year or a
month that we're going to pay using these funds. The

grocery support, the utility support, it goes along. We're impacting
many many families and even more people thanks to the
generosity of Sciotas, Schumer and everyone who supports by purchasing
one of these coupon books.

No, I love it. And you know you're going to
need shoes for the entire family, whether that family is
actually in your household or extended or whatever, and these
coupon books can be used for that, so you'll need

to go to NC four K for all the great
work that you guys do. And I know that you
and I spoke before about some of the cool things
that happened. You really are supporting them in so many

things that are important, that are that are you know
that are holding people down in just their daily go arounds.
But at the same time you're also helping these kids

have a wonderful life and do some really pretty cool things.
And I know you guys really get involved in that

It really is a fun part of this work because
you need to find moments to laugh and play and
have fun. And so, for example, we've got our back
to School Bash happening in early August, where we invite
all of our NC four K families to come together
for a day of celebration. You know, those kids, every
kid in that household on whether they the patient or
their sibling. They're going to get new school supplies, backpacks.

(04:48):
They're also going to get back to school haircuts, because
you have to look good when you're going back to
the classroom. You know, all of these things are part
of what we want to put forward for our families
to remind them they're not alone.

There is a lot of hope and there is so
much support for them. So whether that's at our back
to School bash or night out with the OSU Marching Band,
we're going to try to create these memories for families
that are focused on fun and community and let everybody
leave cancer at the door for a moment.
